I made a turn of the century x men evolution au
Hey everyone so a big special interest of mine is the period from 1900 to about 1928 so I decided what if I took the kids from the X-Men evolution cartoon from their point at the turn of the 21st century and put them at the turn of the 20th century instead...and also added a few characters. I hope you enjoy this. I have a lot for this au, and I'm gonna put it all under the read more.
So Au thoughts
The year is 1912. Xavier has started his institute a few years prior with scott summers and jean grey as students. Scott was adopted by Xavier after his parents died in a train crash and jean comes from a family of doctors and scientists Xavier is friends with.Â
Because no computers yet, as the microprocessor has yet to be invented, Forge didn't get stuck in a pocket dimention and got to grow up he works for xavier. He helps design and build a modified danger room that's more steam punk/dieselpunk. Lots of things are gear powered and Holograms are projections onto steam curtians. Because no computers, no cerebro. But jean and Xavier have trained themselves to be able to sense those with mutant powers around them and have been working with a network of underground individuals, some cases literally like the morlocks, to find out about new strange individuals popping up in the states. The morlocks are much more involved in this. they are good friends with Xavier and frequently helps young morlocks train their powers.Â
One of those individuals is Gambit. Gambit is 17 in this and does various jobs for xavier. One is listening through the grape vine for odd individuals popping up. The other is essentially working the danger room with forge. As The danger room is more steampunk/dieselpunk in this, with storm's help as well it can simulate weather events, earth quakes, fires, unstable ground, flooding, (bb gun based) old west shootouts, explosions (thanks to Gambit), search and rescue, avalanche / rock fall settings, and much more.Â
Gambit helps set up the room and make the mechanisms work. it functions well with automatons, steam engines, pistons, and a lot of theater special effect tricks. Gambit helps forge scrap hunt for machinery to repurpose for it. He has befriended the local street children and finds out from them wherever a factory tosses out a machine.Â
Speaking of theater though, we have morph as well as a staff member. Kevin is well known fairy(period equivalent to someone who does not fit into either gender) and drag expert from New York where they worked on broadway and a very close friend of Logan. So close they share a bedroom....;)
Morph is there to help with tailoring as well as helping kids who need disguises to pass in public cause of their time in broadway and avoid harassment, like Kurt.Â
They also help simulate battles in the danger room with foes they have faced off against before.
Kurt doesn't have an image modifier in this obviously. No computers, no digital holograms. But with forge and morph they are able to help him pass. Morph designs pants for him that have a special pocket for his tail to tuck away, as well as boots with special braces that help disguise his digitigrade feet. Morph also helps him with makeup and hair in the morning to hide his blue face and pointed ears.Â
For his hands forge has built some prothstetic fingers that are controlled by the other fingers in his hand like a puppet, so it appears he has five fingers on each hand covered by riding gloves, as well as colored contact lenses for his eyes to disguise them as brown.Â
Kurt's parents came to America from Germany with him as a toddler. People found out about their adopted son and they had to flee. They settled in a small German speaking community in the middle of nowhere Iowa where they could be safe. They would have a priest visit Kurt to give him mass in private for his own safety and had a nun come to tutor him. Xavier found out about Kurt through gambits grapevine.Â
Ororo came from Africa as a citizen of British colony egypt to Jamaica where she met Charles she has family living in the states via her sister who do are wealthy merchants. they were british colony expats that moved to the states to control British imports to the states easier. Thus how we get Evan. Skateboard hasn't been invented yet so he is big into the turn of the century cycling craze as well as roller skates.Â
Rogue is still a goth. A very very classic goth. Victorian goth. She still dresses like it's the 1800s to in part keep others from touching her skin but also she is just a great appreciator of Poe and Shelly and stoker.Â
One thing that is different for Scott is that on top of the train crash his brother havoc is still with him at this time. His parents are very, very dead tho. No alien rescues. (Forgot to draw Alex tho but he's there as are the minor character students)
Beast is also there more from the begining as a teacher he helps take care of the kids medical needs. He got kicked out of his scientific circle, not cause of his mutant ness that came later, but because he insisted doctors must wash their hands before interacting with patients.Â
Jean grey is a highly educated absolute Gibson girl. She and Kitty sneak out to do suffragette stuff regularly. Speaking of, kitty is definitely a girl of the new century. Wants to go to college one day with Jean. Insists on wearing riding/sports pants wherever she goes. She is girly in certain ways, but defs is a very modern young woman. She likes helping Forge out with his projects.Â
Magneto's hatred for humanity in this case comes from his survival of the pogroms of eastern Europe only to see there is still antisemitism once escaping them. And mystique has a boarding house where the brotherhood kids live, but she wasn't principal of the bayview school.Â
Wolverine is a cowboy in this au yes. He has a horse, but he's also toying with some of the very few motorcycles. They are more of dirt bikes at this point tho, so his horse his still his go too. It's a deep black mare named Blackbird. He does not have an adimantium skeleton but his claws have been capped with silver to help protect them.Â
No x jet but they do have a few biplanes they are training with. Forge is modifying them to be able to cary more people. So far he's made one that can vary five.Â
Gambit introduces everyone to jazz cause it hasn't left Louisiana yet. He brought his Grammaphone and all hell broke loose from there.Â
Also rogue having a bit more of a high society upbringing thanks to irene. Gambit hasn't had a day of real school as public school wants universally established until the 1910s. He knows his reading, writing, and arithmetic from Sunday school and such and whatever jean luc had him taught, but he's excited to learn about what the kids are learning about in their normal school.Â
Rogue brings him her study material and teaches it to him and in return he teaches her the various crafts and skills he learned in the bayou and as a member of the theives guild.Â
Hope you guys enjoy all this!!! Please feel free to share your thoughts!
Tried to keep things period accurate outfits wise.

scholarly bug digifake! pulling together several of my favourite themes and tropes to hopefully settle on a digimon partner after all these years :^) info + name origins below the cut!
LARMON
Level: In-Training/Baby II | Attribute: Vaccine | Field: Virus Busters | Type: Larva
A Larva Digimon that hides in its cloth-like outer garment, using its long antennae to listen to the world around it. This Digimon's movement is limited, so it hitches rides by quietly attaching itself to the backs of larger creatures, which can cause an ominous feeling to come over the host as they mistake it for a haunting. This effect seems completely accidental, however, as Larmon themselves tend to be quite sweet-natured and encouraging if they can overcome their shy nature. Overwhelming situations can cause them to give a nasty bite.
Attacks
Phantom Nip - Gives a nasty pinch from its small mandibles.
Night Light - Produces a soft golden glow from its marking and tail that gently repels those of violent spirit.
Namesake
larva(n.) - 1630s, "a ghost, specter, disembodied spirit" (earlier as larve, c. 1600), from Latin larva (plural larvae), earlier larua "ghost, evil spirit, demon," also "mask," a word from Roman mythology, of unknown origin; de Vaan finds a possible derivation from Lar "tutelary god" (see Lares) "quite attractive semantically." Crowded out in its original sense by the zoological use (1768) which began with Linnaeus, who applied the word to immature forms of animals that do not resemble, and thus "mask," the adult forms. [source]
Lares(n.) - Roman tutelary gods and household deities, worshipped in primitive cult rites, Latin, plural of Lar, a word of unknown origin. Infernal, protective of the state and the family, they could be potently evil if offended. Their shrine in the home was a lararium. [source]
---
PUERMON
Level: Rookie/Child | Attribute: Vaccine | Field: Virus Busters | Type: Insect
An Insect Digimon with the self-imposed task of infiltrating Virus type groups and strongholds, and using its unique undercover position to learn everything it can, training itself to be able to restore peace and defend the just. In this way, Puermon is sometimes considered a "pest" infesting the networks of Virus Digimon. Highly industrious, Puermon takes its work very seriously, and can lose its temper with anyone who interferes or risks blowing its cover. Its crystalline sceptre is made of all the data Puermon has absorbed, its helix shape slowly building towards Evolution.
Attacks
Lucidate - Holds its staff high, casting a bright golden light that makes evil Digimon lose their fighting spirit and want to move away, and gives focus and sharpness of mind to those with good intentions. The light from this staff can also help make sense of such things as computer code and Digimoji. Puermon may also call out the name of this attack before simply giving someone a punishing bop on the head.
Namesake
pupil(n.1) [student], late 14c., "orphan child, ward, person under the care of a guardian," from Old French pupille (14c.) and directly from Latin pupillus (fem. pupilla) "orphan child, ward, minor," diminutive of pupus "boy" (fem. pupa "girl"), probably related to puer "child" (and thus probably from a suffixed form of PIE root *pau- (1) "few, little"). Meaning "disciple, student youth or any person of either sex under the care of an instructor or tutor" is recorded by 1560s. [source]
puerile(adj.) 1660s, "youthful, boyish," a back-formation from puerility (q.v.), or else from French puril (15c.), from Latin puerilis "boyish; childish," from puer "boy, child." The depreciative sense of "merely juvenile, immature, lacking intellectual force" is from 1680s. [source]
---
AXLAMON
Level: Champion/Adult | Attribute: Vaccine | Field: Virus Busters/Wind Guardians | Type: Insect
An advanced Insect Digimon that has picked up some high-level programming language. Though lacking the formal training of Witchelny, it reached this level of sorcery through necessity and instinct. Because of this, its reflexes and quick thinking put it almost equivalent with the likes of its Witchelny peers, and it spun itself a similar outfit to lend itself credibility as a sorcerer and to hide its true face beneath its cloak.
Its staff has hardened into the shape of an insect's horns, the light of its gathered knowledge kept between them and giving it strength. This staff can be ridden like a broomstick, letting Axlamon hide its new wings inside the sleeves of its cloak.
Despite its outwardly solitary and ascetic temperament, it appears this is simply a mask over the same shyness it had as a Child-level Digimon, and its secretly-passionate heart can be counted on to uplift others and balance the odds at any cost when things look grim.
Attacks
Kindle - Raises its staff to shine a brilliant light. Allies find their best strengths amplified and their wounds healed, and blackhearted foes are weakened and driven back from the holy beacon. This attack can also make sense of computer code, Digimoji, and sometimes things spoken or written in code.
Sacrosanctuary - Stands its ground and casts an illuminated shield of immutable truths and promises around itself and its allies. Its commitment is equal to the strength of its shield.
Opine Flare - Burns off some of its absorbed information data, converting it to a missile of pure energy to strike with. Some data is lost in the conversion, making direct attacks costly.
Namesake
In entomology, "alate" usually refers to the winged form of a social insect, especially ants[2] [source]
alate(adj.) "having wings, winged," 1660s, from Latin alatus, from ala "wing, armpit, wing of an army," from *axla, originally "joint of the wing or arm;" from PIE *aks- "axis" (see axis). [source]
axis (plural axes or (rare) axiis) - (geometry) An imaginary line around which an object spins (an axis of rotation) or is symmetrically arranged (an axis of symmetry). / The centre of attention within a process (e.g. the axis of investigation). [source]
---
uhhh if you read this far thank you for the interest! maybe someday i'll do their Perfect/Ultimate form or beyond but for now i ran out of steam so this lil guy's future is mysterious...
please don't use this fakie without permission, but if you do wanna borrow him for a roleplay or something please don't be shy of asking at least, i'm pretty chill

International standards being what they are, the majority of consoles created in or imported to Japan, including those targeting uniquely domestic audiences, employ names or acronyms based on the English language. For the sixty odd years that Japan has been producing electromechanic and electronic game systems there is but a literal handful of systems named in the Japanese language that, I'd wager, even the most seasoned players know little or nothing about. Your curiosity may be rewarded if you continue reading.
1982 - Contrary to what you may have heard or read, Tomy was the first Japanese toy company to develop a computer. Styled after the Texas Instruments TI-99/4 and manufactured by Matsushita, the PyĹŤta was purposely designed to sit on toy store shelf space as hinted at by its name, a childish diminutive of the word KonpyĹŤtÄ.
1983 - John Ross's Mini-Arcade project was sold world over under the sweet-sounding name Vectrex. The Japanese distributor, Bandai, was not so enamoured with it. Believing that a Japanese name would do better at retail, it was commercialized as KĹsoku-Sen - The Lightspeed Ship!
1988 - Bandai's history as a console maker is quite unlike any other. Terebikko is a VHS-based gaming system that uses the TV audio output to play sound via its phone receiver and quiz players with multiple response questions. The console produces a sound output that informs the player if the answer was correct or not. Tapes include animated films starring Mario, Anpanman and the characters from Dragon Ball, some even fetching quite the high price at auctions these days.
1990 - Sharp is seldom given due recognition for creating some of Nintendo's finest and durable consoles. The SĹŤpÄ Famikon Naizou Terebi SF1 TV perfectly mirrors the concept of their 1983 C1 NES TV, in spite of the technological leap. Its Japanese name describes its built-in console function. Nintendo fanboys would pounce on me were I to snub it.
1995 - Further proof of Bandai's unorthodox approach to console design is found in their unsuccessful Denshi Manga Juku - lit. Electronic Manga Tutor. The first ever stylus-based console - once again, contrary to what many may yet hold to be true - some of the games in its miniscule library allowed the player to design and animate characters or scenes; while others presented a blank canvas for the user to draw the game's protagonist.
1996 - A retail development kit, but a console all the same, Sony's Netto YarĹze was an ambitious project resulting in dozens of homebrewed independent titles. The name matches its vision: a network of creators coming together to realize their individual game design aspirations. Of all the systems in its restricted category, it was by far the most successful.
Unreleased - It's a beautiful fact that the first arcade game and globally successful console had a Japanese word stamped on them - Atari. Mirai, meaning Future, is a prototype found in the mid-1990s, about which nothing can be said authoritatively apart it from being a cartridge-based system. Given the more or less overt resemblances to the Atari XEGS, it is possible that it was designed by Ira Velinsky, in which case it could date from the late 1980s. Though not a made-in-Japan product, its borrowing of a Japanese word makes its presence in this list mandatory.

Someone had sent a confession on alt rock confessions a while ago about how people immediately seem to discredit artists for having any training at all; if they come from a school or have been told anything about the music industry, they are 'being groomed' as if knowing about the industry isn't simply the only way of making good, informed decisions.
They've been doing that again on the Fontaines subreddit, it is so infuriating to me. Knowledge is power. These people's thinking is loosely along the lines of 'if you have the music industry equivalent of financial literacy, you are not pure of heart' which is just dumb and backwards. What the hell, man. Look at this nonsense, directly quoted off Reddit.
I happen to have been in BIMM at the same time and can tell you for a fact that the band were nurtured by the college. Not âmanufacturedâ per say but definitely groomed into the industry. The same happened to The Murder Capitol (sic) also. It didnât matter what these bands made they were going to get signed and were destined for success based of their connections, markability (sic. Ed: marketability?) and network. BIMM had classes called Artist Development where teachers would pair students into groups and cover songs as weekly assignments. A significant element of the bands image, style and aesthetic arose from those classes and assignments. The band still had to find their way afterwards and build an established reputation but a Lot of groundwork was done in BIMM before they took a foot into gigging and touring etc and most of it was guided by tutors. FDC (and TMC to a lesser extent) had years of experience and were well schooled in the music game a long time before they toured. Anybody that says otherwise is talking bollox, this is straight from the horses mouth of someone that went through the trenches with both of these bands and knows the story.
If you think spending an hour in classes where you write and cover songs is industry insiderism, you are insane. I am not a professional musician, and even I have sat in on these classes. I've built a portfolio of songs written during classes. It doesn't make me a professional musician. To say that these bands had an 'unfair advantage' because they... wrote songs in classes is insane. That's like saying anyone who wrote code as part of their assignments in my computer science class had an 'unfair advantage' over someone who didn't go to school, and so accordingly should be seen as a less good computer scientist than the pure-of-heart basement coder. You sound insane.
(I'm not going to even address the claims on their image. What 'image' did Dogrel-era Fontaines have? They were Just Some Guys who turned up and played music. If anything, their look was the 'metrosexual bearded city man' look of the 2010s. If my job was to tell people to grow their hair long and make a manbun a few years too late into the long-hair-and-manbun era, I would be bad at my job. It's not like they recommended designer Lady Gaga fits for the lads. Ffs. The only time Fontaines have had a look is now, aged 28, when Romance rolled out.)
Let's put aside these tepid claims and delve into those who say there are classes that teach you how to navigate your way through the music industry. If you're a musician on some path to a music career, you've probably been to some sort of industry event. Played or attended a showcase festival. They often have talks that are meant to teach you the same things. You can go ESNS for the entire week for âŹ100. NXNE full fest passes go for $29. Canada Music Week (arguably more of an industry-mechanics event than NXNE) costs $75 for the whole weekend (they're renaming it Departure? What? Anyways). SXSW is a tech event now and I refuse to count it. Focus Wales costs ÂŁ80 for the whole weekend. The Great Escape is ÂŁ108.
What I'm saying is, you get a chance to do that networking, meeting people in your industry, those starting out, those who have already been where you've been. There will be people giving advice on what to avoid, what is a myth in the industry, what a record deal means. This is not an 'unfair advantage', these are things you SHOULD know if you're going into the music industry.
It sounds as wishy-washy as anti-intellectual sentiment about those who read being 'above' you or whatever. Knowing the first thing about the music industry just means you don't die penniless at the end of your life because a horrible record contract crippled your finances and life.
#music#musicians#Fontaines D.C.#but this goes beyond them boys#music industry#good for them if they went to school? That doesn't make a career#fontaines dc

I dont post online. I like to be a ghost in the machine (therfore the name), but because of this, I have zero community. So, this is my attempt to reach out for some sort of human connection. If anyone has any good blogs or hashtags, i should follow LET ME KNOW. Thank you for your time.
I put some of the things I'm interested below so more people can see this.
I work with computers I'm going for my associates in networking right now. I work as a tutor supporting professors for a college. In my free time I started painting warhammer figures (skaven if your into that kinda thing). I am really into interior design and plan to use this blog as a Mashup between technology and design. I am going to start small and make a door sensor and chime first. I'm starting with this not only cause it's easy but because my desk faces away from my door and I am sick of people thinking I am dead lol.

What majors 'Attack on Titan'characters would have in college AU (part 2):
Source: My Majors
Word count: 1.1k
(part one)
11. Sasha: Crisis/Emergency/Disaster Management
⢠Sasha was first admitted to a college with the major Culinary Science, along with her boyfriend, Niccolo, but left the course after a month
⢠I want to eat food not study it was what she retorted to everyone, but in reality, she just felt she would not be contributing enough to the community
⢠As the major took out for a lot of field work, she signs up for all, and even joined internships from the first year itself, regarding the same
⢠A procrastinator; crams on the night of the exam, while Niccolo is cooking her assortment of dishes and gets super groggy on examination mornings :')
12. Connie: Graphic Design
⢠His mother was extremely proud of her son getting into the college; so much that she had told every other person passing on the streets how Connie will be a genius, in whatever tech stuff he is doing
⢠Opted for a college far away from home, because he wanted to experience life to the fullest by living alone, and learning to fend for himself
⢠Teaches basic computer science to two kids, and works as a freelancer digital artist, along with juggling his classes
⢠Loves his subject and puts effort behind it quite regularly, but call him for a party he'd be there with two extra beer bottles, ridiculously shimmery clothes and a party popper!
13. Jean: Architecture
⢠Look me in the eye and tell me that Jean doesn't look like a dreamy arch student, always carrying his sketchbook along with him and sitting down to draw the building or monument designs that seem to intrigue him
⢠Was in eighth grade, when Mikasa told him that the way he draws the buildings are very clean. Boom, and he wants to draw them for the rest of his life
⢠For some reason, his mother did not approve of his subject choice, until one day she found a few building designs doodled in placards sprawled over his desk and reconsidered her opinion
⢠Loves a good party once in a while, but really wants to work behind the subject so sometimes, calls a rain check
14. Erwin: Intelligence
⢠Ever since Erwin can remember, he wanted to be in the army, fighting for his motherland. That was what he had wanted all his life, and he had every quality to enlist himself for it until he sustained incurable injuries on his right arm trying to save an elderly couple from an accident
⢠Intelligence major was a piece of cake for Erwin, for he was a natural leader, acing all his classes with ease. He loves spending time in the library a lot, and his favourite book is rumoured to be 'Crime and Punishment' by Fyodor Dostoevsky
⢠He is equally loved and lusted by the women in his university, but apart from occasional casual flings, he does not want to engage in a relationship because it 'fuddles his mind'
⢠His room is speck clean and he likes working out regularly and eating healthy (cooks his own food and is distrustful of the canteen meals)
15. Zeke: Law
⢠In school, Zeke was reprimanded a lot because according to his teachers, he was 'always quipped with a brash follow-up question, with no regards to authority'. In college, he encashed it by enrolling himself in a law major programme
⢠He is a big believer in practical knowledge and quickly networked to find internship opportunities to practice and observe lawyers alongside his regular studies
⢠With an absentee father, he worked two side jobs as a cashier at Starbucks and a private tutor
⢠He participated a lot in debate competitions and moot courts to enhance his critical thinking and analytical skills
16. Marco: Film Studies
⢠Always a sweet and dreamy guy, Marco chose film studies because he passionately believes films influence people a lot
⢠Ask him, and he will name the most obscure movies just to seem like a film student with a mysterious air, while in reality, his favourite movie is Mean Girls
⢠Likes people watching and tries to do all his college work sitting in a cafe, with 'coffee, coffee, coffee!'
⢠Has tried making short films, and although the themes and plots have been pretty good, he is yet to get real recognition for them
17. Porco: Aviation
⢠Ever the cocky guy, Porco took aviation because it made him feel like he was on top of the world

Prometheus Gave the Gift of Fire to Mankind. We Can't Give it Back, nor Should We.
AI. Artificial intelligence. Large Language Models. Learning Algorithms. Deep Learning. Generative Algorithms. Neural Networks. This technology has many names, and has been a polarizing topic in numerous communities online. By my observation, a lot of the discussion is either solely focused on A) how to profit off it or B) how to get rid of it and/or protect yourself from it. But to me, I feel both of these perspectives apply a very narrow usage lens on something that's more than a get rich quick scheme or an evil plague to wipe from the earth.
This is going to be long, because as someone whose degree is in psych and computer science, has been a teacher, has been a writing tutor for my younger brother, and whose fiance works in freelance data model training... I have a lot to say about this.
I'm going to address the profit angle first, because I feel most people in my orbit (and in related orbits) on Tumblr are going to agree with this: flat out, the way AI is being utilized by large corporations and tech startups -- scraping mass amounts of visual and written works without consent and compensation, replacing human professionals in roles from concept art to story boarding to screenwriting to customer service and more -- is unethical and damaging to the wellbeing of people, would-be hires and consumers alike. It's wasting energy having dedicated servers running nonstop generating content that serves no greater purpose, and is even pressing on already overworked educators because plagiarism just got a very new, harder to identify younger brother that's also infinitely more easy to access.
In fact, ChatGPT is such an issue in the education world that plagiarism-detector subscription services that take advantage of how overworked teachers are have begun paddling supposed AI-detectors to schools and universities. Detectors that plainly DO NOT and CANNOT work, because the difference between "A Writer Who Writes Surprisingly Well For Their Age" is indistinguishable from "A Language Replicating Algorithm That Followed A Prompt Correctly", just as "A Writer Who Doesn't Know What They're Talking About Or Even How To Write Properly" is indistinguishable from "A Language Replicating Algorithm That Returned Bad Results". What's hilarious is that the way these "detectors" work is also run by AI.
(to be clear, I say plagiarism detectors like TurnItIn.com and such are predatory because A) they cost money to access advanced features that B) often don't work properly or as intended with several false flags, and C) these companies often are super shady behind the scenes; TurnItIn for instance has been involved in numerous lawsuits over intellectual property violations, as their services scrape (or hopefully scraped now) the papers submitted to the site without user consent (or under coerced consent if being forced to use it by an educator), which it uses in can use in its own databases as it pleases, such as for training the AI detecting AI that rarely actually detects AI.)
The prevalence of visual and lingustic generative algorithms is having multiple, overlapping, and complex consequences on many facets of society, from art to music to writing to film and video game production, and even in the classroom before all that, so it's no wonder that many disgruntled artists and industry professionals are online wishing for it all to go away and never come back. The problem is... It can't. I understand that there's likely a large swath of people saying that who understand this, but for those who don't: AI, or as it should more properly be called, generative algorithms, didn't just show up now (they're not even that new), and they certainly weren't developed or invented by any of the tech bros peddling it to megacorps and the general public.
Long before ChatGPT and DALL-E came online, generative algorithms were being used by programmers to simulate natural processes in weather models, shed light on the mechanics of walking for roboticists and paleontologists alike, identified patterns in our DNA related to disease, aided in complex 2D and 3D animation visuals, and so on. Generative algorithms have been a part of the professional world for many years now, and up until recently have been a general force for good, or at the very least a force for the mundane. It's only recently that the technology involved in creating generative algorithms became so advanced AND so readily available, that university grad students were able to make the publicly available projects that began this descent into madness.
Does anyone else remember that? That years ago, somewhere in the late 2010s to the beginning of the 2020s, these novelty sites that allowed you to generate vague images from prompts, or generate short stylistic writings from a short prompt, were popping up with University URLs? Oftentimes the queues on these programs were hours long, sometimes eventually days or weeks or months long, because of how unexpectedly popular this concept was to the general public. Suddenly overnight, all over social media, everyone and their grandma, and not just high level programming and arts students, knew this was possible, and of course, everyone wanted in. Automated art and writing, isn't that neat? And of course, investors saw dollar signs. Simply scale up the process, scrape the entire web for data to train the model without advertising that you're using ALL material, even copyrighted and personal materials, and sell the resulting algorithm for big money. As usual, startup investors ruin every new technology the moment they can access it.
To most people, it seemed like this magic tech popped up overnight, and before it became known that the art assets on later models were stolen, even I had fun with them. I knew how learning algorithms worked, if you're going to have a computer make images and text, it has to be shown what that is and then try and fail to make its own until it's ready. I just, rather naively as I was still in my early 20s, assumed that everything was above board and the assets were either public domain or fairly licensed. But when the news did came out, and when corporations started unethically implementing "AI" in everything from chatbots to search algorithms to asking their tech staff to add AI to sliced bread, those who were impacted and didn't know and/or didn't care where generative algorithms came from wanted them GONE. And like, I can't blame them. But I also quietly acknowledged to myself that getting rid of a whole technology is just neither possible nor advisable. The cat's already out of the bag, the genie has left its bottle, the Pandorica is OPEN. If we tried to blanket ban what people call AI, numerous industries involved in making lives better would be impacted. Because unfortunately the same tool that can edit selfies into revenge porn has also been used to identify cancer cells in patients and aided in decoding dead languages, among other things.
When, in Greek myth, Prometheus gave us the gift of fire, he gave us both a gift and a curse. Fire is so crucial to human society, it cooks our food, it lights our cities, it disposes of waste, and it protects us from unseen threats. But fire also destroys, and the same flame that can light your home can burn it down. Surely, there were people in this mythic past who hated fire and all it stood for, because without fire no forest would ever burn to the ground, and surely they would have called for fire to be given back, to be done away with entirely. Except, there was no going back. The nature of life is that no new element can ever be undone, it cannot be given back.
So what's the way forward, then? Like, surely if I can write a multi-paragraph think piece on Tumblr.com that next to nobody is going to read because it's long as sin, about an unpopular topic, and I rarely post original content anyway, then surely I have an idea of how this cyberpunk dystopia can be a little less.. Dys. Well I do, actually, but it's a long shot. Thankfully, unlike business majors, I actually had to take a cyber ethics course in university, and I actually paid attention. I also passed preschool where I learned taking stuff you weren't given permission to have is stealing, which is bad. So the obvious solution is to make some fucking laws to limit the input on data model training on models used for public products and services. It's that simple. You either use public domain and licensed data only or you get fined into hell and back and liable to lawsuits from any entity you wronged, be they citizen or very wealthy mouse conglomerate (suing AI bros is the only time Mickey isn't the bigger enemy). And I'm going to be honest, tech companies are NOT going to like this, because not only will it make doing business more expensive (boo fucking hoo), they'd very likely need to throw out their current trained datasets because of the illegal components mixed in there. To my memory, you can't simply prune specific content from a completed algorithm, you actually have to redo rhe training from the ground up because the bad data would be mixed in there like gum in hair. And you know what, those companies deserve that. They deserve to suffer a punishment, and maybe fold if they're young enough, for what they've done to creators everywhere. Actually, laws moving forward isn't enough, this needs to be retroactive. These companies need to be sued into the ground, honestly.
So yeah, that's the mess of it. We can't unlearn and unpublicize any technology, even if it's currently being used as a tool of exploitation. What we can do though is demand ethical use laws and organize around the cause of the exclusive rights of individuals to the content they create. The screenwriter's guild, actor's guild, and so on already have been fighting against this misuse, but given upcoming administration changes to the US, things are going to get a lot worse before thet get a little better. Even still, don't give up, have clear and educated goals, and focus on what you can do to affect change, even if right now that's just individual self-care through mental and physical health crises like me.

I just thought Iâd talk about my journey about how I discovered Iâm neurodivergent and where I am at this point in life. Maybe itâll make some people feel less alone
I may leave out some details by mistake Iâve been through a long ride.
I was showing signs of neurodivergence in second grade. My second grade teacher told my mom âthere is something wrong with her.â During a conference meeting, of course my mom was angry about that. My mom also was in denial that there was something up with me. I had no clue about any of this until I got older.
Third grade started, I was showing signs more clearly that there was indeed something going on with me. I had trouble processing and retaining information which I was already struggling with in second grade but it got worse. Mom was now accepting the fact that there could be something about me that we donât know.
I got diagnosed with ADHD that year by a doctor and my teachers were also giving me math problems to solve that I just never understood and never got the hang of. After that conclusion, I was immediately placed in tutoring and placed in special education classes where they would pull me in and out of class to get extra help.
Nothing much changed at all since then while growing up in school. In middle school, I would still get pulled in and out of class to go to a special education class to get extra help.
High school, now I loved high school in a way. Yes I still went to a special education class but this time I wouldnât have to be called out of the current class I was in just to go to a special education one. I actually had a special education class built into my schedule.
I had the opportunity to get tested out of that class by the school, but I never did make enough points to pass. After a while, I wasnât surprised by that anymore. Iâve been in those kinds of classes my whole life. I still liked it though, I made better grades in high school over both elementary and middle school. By the time I reached my senior year though, I developed anxiety, my attention span was shrinking, and I zoned out pretty bad at times. My ADHD was getting worse.
College, college was my downfall. I absolutely hated college. I did still have a special education teacher, I would get tutored and I was still being accommodated by having extra time on tests like Iâve always had since third grade. I was also a part time student because being full time would stress me out and I was already struggling with having a short attention span and processing and retaining information.
First year of college was stressful to me but I still passed on my first semester except I failed one class. Covid happened on my second semester. I had to switch from the classroom to online classes. Iâm a visual learner, I was struggling so bad during Covid. My anxiety got worse because I was failing, my teachers werenât much help, I was just barely passing.
Second year of college, I was finally back into the classroom. This time my classes now lined up to my major. I majored in computer networking. My college just didnât have a lot of majors to choose from and nothing really interested me. I knew math was my weakness it has always been so I knew I was doomed ever since I picked it.
After taking my first computer networking class, I made a decent grade. I struggled but I had other classmates helping me which was nice. I didnât ask for help, but I got it. In the second semester I had statistics classes. I failed miserably even when I had a tutor who was hired by the special education teacher.
In the end of that second semester of college, I was told that I lost my scholarships because my grades werenât good enough. Coming back for a third year just wasnât worth it. I didnât want to continue anyway and I was already wanting to drop out. College isnât for everyone and thatâs okay.
Last year in the summer, I was going to sign up for disability benefits from social security. I got denied of course. In the summer also, my pediatrician asked my parents, âdo you think she has autism?â I had this shocked look on my face. All this time, my entire life, you didnât tell us that you had this feeling that I could be autistic!?
That fall, I got diagnosed with autism, ocd, cognitive and intellectual disorders. Last month, my new doctor told me and my mom that there is no way that social security would deny me access to benefits. If they did we would have to go to court about it. Well they did, a few days ago they denied me access to disability benefits.
Weâre taking them to court about it because Iâm eligible enough. We have to be our own advocate.
Developmental Disability Acceptance Month is next month but I thought Iâd share my story now.

man. thinking about how the survivors all desperately need new hobbies
like. okay. soniaâs a great example. off the top of your head what are her hobbies? probably learning about and researching true crime and the occult, and watching j-dramas/anime, right? but if you really think about it, her fascination with japanese culture very much feels like her just desperately wanting to fit in and massively overcompensating. so while i do think she probably enjoys those shows, theyre definitely not as popular in her kingdom as she claims (not that im saying sheâs lying on purpose, just that. well, when you feel embarrassed about someones reaction to you liking something, sometimes youâll try to make an excuse for why you do yknow), and plus, its not like they have access to a lot of entertainment media for a while post program. as for the occult/true crime stuffâŚ
look me in the eye and tell me junko did not use that against her. do you really think junko enoshima would not see a girl obsessed with the study of serial killers and not try and warp that into a fascination with her?
i think that stuff leaves a bad taste in her mouth now. and after committing and being complicit in the committing of the kind of crimes she used to be fascinated by, its kind of hard to find the joy in that anymore, yknow? the occult stuff could maybe still be enjoyable, but with how often it feels like there are ghosts lurking around every fucking corner and her dreams are filled with screaming corpses its kinda hard to be fanciful about that stuff.
so. girl needs some new hobbies.
its not much better for the others, either. akanes hobbies were basically working out, doing parkour, eating, and sleeping. the first two are downright impossible for the first several months after waking up, and for the foreseeable future any kind of physical activity is going to be, to an extent, difficult just due to how much chronic pain and weakness sheâll probably suffer the rest of her life. she can get to a healthier weight and a stronger muscular build, but its not going to change the fact that she gets out of breath and sore much faster than before. as for eating⌠well. thats gonna be a sore subject for a while. so all she has left is sleeping, and sleeping all day is, as ive been told by many people, kind of a depression symptom? and theres no way the others would sit back and let her do that.
girl needs some new hobbies!
kazuichi, from what we can tell, had a few more normal hobbies. in game you can find him gaming with chiaki, and he seems to enjoy coming up with schemes and plans for silly stuff, but overall he just loves his tinkering. he may be the ultimate mechanic but first and foremost he just loves fucking with machines and engines and finding out what makes them tick. but even that isnt gonna work anymore. sure, he could game. if they had any fucking consoles. or a working computer network. or any games. but none of that is happening for a while, if ever. as for his tinkering, itâs gotta be a similarly sore subject to soniaâs training and tutoring as a princess. its too closely linked to what he did as a despair, too closely linked to his talent, to not make him feel like screaming when he smells machine polish. i think he definitely could get back to a point where it genuinely brings him joy again, and before that he definitely forces himself to use his talent and knowledge because they need it, but. its a complicated problem.
the guy needs some new fucking hobbies.
and of course⌠fuyuhiko.
fuyuhiko⌠doesnt have any hobbies.
like okay can you think of a single thing from the game (or fuck even the anime) that implies that he has anything he actually does For Fun. he has a sweet tooth. hes dedicated to his clan. he went to the zoo with peko one time. he got in fights at school. thats⌠those arent hobbies. fuyuhiko doesnt have any hobbies!!! someone get this boy some fucking knitting needles or a book to read!!!! please!!!!!!!!!! i think it would genuinely help him a lot to have something to do instead of just sitting and stewing in his own trash fire of a brain speaking from experience. learn to sew, read some fantasy novels, learn to play the guitar, something. im begging you.
and hajime is his own fucking can of worms.
he probably had hobbies before the Horrors. right? he probably played some video games, maybe liked martial arts films, maybe sketched in the margins of his notebooks. rode his bike sometimes. but now? nothing keeps his interest that long. everything becomes monotonous after a while, and sure, sometimes thats the draw. with stuff like fiber crafts the point is sometimes making it muscle memory so you have something to do with your hands. but other times its not. and his ability to basically excel in most things you put in front of him has to be so fucking boring after a while. a lot of the point of having hobbies is that you arent perfect. the draw is learning, is getting better. even reading can become nothing when any nonfiction book has knowledge in it you already know and any fiction book you can intuit the ending from the first few pages. he probably reads Lightning Fast now too, so it cant hold his interest for long.
he probably has to constantly be switching hobbies and outlets. cant stay on one thing too long, or the ennui starts to set in. that sounds miserable.
someone get these kids some hobbies, man
#personal#meta#danganronpa#sdr2#neo survivors#MAN. YOU EVER THINK ABOUT HOW MISERABLE THE SURVIVORS ARE AT FIRST#BECAUSE I DO!!!!!!#personally i think sonia gets into painting. i think its fun if she specifically gets into mural painting#and starts decorating the facilities walls#i think she also gets really into helping build stuff and working with her hands because she never did that as a princess!!!#fuyuhiko i think gets into fiber crafts. specifically i could see him doing embroidery and shit#and reading. i think he develops a very embarrassing love of romance novels#but mostly he likes detective and mystery fiction yknow#kaz of course figured out how to make tinkering work for him again. he has to#but i think they also get into like. soldering as an art thing too#sculpture and stuff!!#and they and sonia are both really into fashion stuff so when the foundation sends them more clothes#and more materials#they both go ham making new clothes and outfits and shit#the two of them both learning how to sew <3 bonding experience.#akane definitely also figures out a way to get working out to work again. just slightly different from before#more stretching and stuff. i think she could also benefit from some meditation techniques! maybe she gets into yoga#and of course when they all finally get shipments of movies and tv shows from before the tragedy they all eat that shit UP#OH and akane LOVES taking care of the animals. like yeah a lot of them are probably gonna end up getting eaten eventually#and she definitely is a benefitter of that. but that doesnt mean she cant care for them now!!!#she takes point on feeding and caring for their livestock and chickens and stuff <3#hajime of course. uh. jumps around. he does a lot of stuff.#anything to keep the darkness at bay ykwim!!!! haha#i do think he reads. and i think he does do art too because even if you have the ultimate artist in you#its always gonna turn out a little different

People who are active in a time bank earn credits through hours of community work then spend those credits in return for services from other community members. For example, they can take classes from other members, learning new skills such as a language or how to play a musical instrument. Give your time as you willâwhether it be yard work, helping with transportation, picking up food, or cooking meals. All these exchanges are valued only in terms of the time spent doing them, making an important statement to participants about their self-worth. This is an innovative approach to stimulating neighbor-to-neighbor acts of kindness. One hour equals one creditâregardless of the service you give. No money is exchanged, only time. This affirms the value of community membersâ talents and contributions and helps reweave the social fabric essential to community vitality. Indeed, people have used time banking for a wide array of projects aimed at repairing, rebuilding, or replenishing their communities. The practice helps the vulnerable, promotes intercultural learning, reduces isolation, and in some cases cuts out-of-pocket costs by tapping into communitiesâ often abundant but untapped social capacity. It gives members access to skill-building activities and job opportunities. Through these exchanges of time, members get to know their neighbors and make friends while helping to build caring, vibrant communities. There are several different models of time bank exchanges. One common model is a neighbor-to-neighbor time bank, in which individuals join a time bank so they can earn and spend time credits by helping each other. Each hour of service contributed by an individual earns a one-time credit that can be used in several different ways: 1) to receive services from other members of the time credit exchange; 2) to purchase with credits items such as school supplies, food, and clothing; and 3) to take classes, such as dance or music lessons, yoga, and so on. Depending on how the time bank is set up, an individual could also donate saved time credits to someone else. Another time bank model involves the creation of targeted or specialized exchange networks that focus more on time credits. An example is cross-age peer tutoring, in which older children tutor younger students, accumulating time credits that they can then trade for school materials and equipment such as donated computers.

"1. What was learning like for them as a child? Did they attend a school setting or learn in another way?" for all the androids!! and iirc a couple of them went to university so wondering if education was different for them compared to non-androids lol
YEAH ANDROIDS
The most general thing to know about android education is that they all went through some form of having their brains pickled in encyclopedias prior to being assembled into full working systems. This process was most refined with Dez, since he's the youngest and has benefited from all of the developments of the earlier androids, and least comprehensive with Mizzat, because the university team that built vim was like, "vi mostly just needs to know about math, soooooâŚ"
Mizzat is the only one who has had a truly Formal education. Since vi was built to be a math professor vi had an honorary degree from the University of the Second Akkanswl when vi started out, but vi went on to not only get an actual doctorate in math - I'm gonna tentatively say with a focus on discrete geometry but that just seemed like the best choice from ten minutes of trying to understand what Cornell's math PhD concentrations are - which vi did so the degree part wouldn't seem like such a lie but also because there's way more to math than just the calculus vi was pickled in and teaches. Vi did have the benefit of having a very personable build team that was happy to teach vim stuff and also to accept their own mistakes in their approach. But vi has learned a lot just by being extremely curious, with unrestricted access to both the network and the university library. Vi has considered going for more degrees, because vi has a ridiculous amount of time on vis hands despite being a teacher (vi has literally all hours of the day to do things) and really needs to pick up another research project or five.
Imjen had a quasi-formal education via the medical school and hospital at the University of the Fifth Akkanswl, where zi was built. Zi was taught how to interact and later to do schedustrar and nurse work by various experts, but was essentially a privately tutored student. But there was a lot of stuff that zir supervisory team didn't bother to teach zim, probably because they just expected zim to pick it up like a normal swl child. Which zi kind of did, by taking all of zir opportunities to just sort of wander the city. They mostly didn't try to stop zim but they also didn't love it when zi started to have political opinions and such. Because Imjen looks extremely like a normal swl, it's easy for zim to dip in and out of normal swl areas and learn by watching other people. That has also fueled zir weird relationship with passing as nondroid. In recent years Imjen has started attending night classes about random non-computer-science things, which zir supervisors like. But it's partly just to befriend the professors so they'll teach zim more things. Zi feels oddly comfortable around professors, probably because zi has known a lot of them, but the comp sci ones always look at zim a little bit like a cut of meat.
Syndy was extra extra pickled in her prebuild stages because Gweltsen knew that they weren't going to have the opportunity to teach her much - because of their terminal illness, but also because of hiding her sapience from everyone else. But they did walk her through the legal questions surrounding her and teach her a random assortment of things from their own experience. Hoven was around for a small fraction of the time she was with Gweltsen, too. She also learned more than she cares to admit from her memories of her unconscious time as a postal robot ("Sintii-bot"). There's a lot of data in there about the ways people interact. Plus there was a fair amount of time at night where she was conscious but unsupervised and so could fuck with the computer system or peel open packages she wasn't supposed to look at or mess with the ceiling tiles. But everything else she's pretty much learned from romcoms and period dramas.
Dez was moderately pickled, closer to Syndy's level than the others'. He has never even looked upon a school (unless you count the one on Elbas Island), let alone been in one. He's technically been homeschooled, in a very laissez-faire fashion that has mostly been penmanship, art class, and a lot of tooling around in Anni's workshop that we could call shop class. A huge chunk of what he knows has been gleaned from watching documentaries, and also becoming obsessed with something (spies, astrogeology, snow) and reading up on it with an introductory textbook open next to the super high level article he wants to read Right Now. He hates reading physical books, though, so he's always reading them in his internal viewer. Anni is neither his teacher nor his mom but she's kinda played the role of both, as has Julian. Julian works from home and also manages the bills so he's done a lot of explaining about things. Peter could be considered a guest lecturer in art and dogs. Zel and Urma are more like the substitute teachers who come in and have you watch a movie in class, except Zel also gives him his vicarious video game fix, and he has seen a lot of interactions via moderating her stream chats.
#can't decide if I prefer zi/zir/zis or zi/zim/zir. I don't think Imjen would care either way#c: Mizzat#c: Imjen#c: Dez#c: Syndy#wip: tfa#backstory & motivation ask game

Air conditioning during heat waves
Heater during cold seasons
More windows to peer out into the rain
Beanbags
All the reading material you want with no hassled store worker checking up on you to see if you're purchasing something
Take your sweet time wandering around to vibe with the aesthetic
Tables and seats that don't require a purchase
Wi-fi and water included
Clean restrooms
Free workshops (or really cheap ones or a small donation if you're able)
Updated community boards
Designated Quiet Rooms
(Some libraries have a Garden Room)
Comfortable nooks hidden in random spaces
Most libraries are part of a network with others, so there's a good chance they'll have what you'll looking for and get it shipped out. Sometimes, you get waitlisted but better than dropping $400+ on Ebay
Outlets everywhere
Public computers
Printers and fax machines
That one person that has connections to everyone and everything
Access to various databases and subscriptions to your favorite magazines and newspapers
See last point because it needs to be reiterated because pay walls are awful for researchers, curious people, and those who have niche interests/passion projects
I mean it, libraries are amazing if you're looking to get back into school, but you don't have the time or resources, but you still want to get into the materials or learn new skills
And let's face it, since everything now runs on a subscription model or operates on a pay wall, costs pile up.
If you're into research or want to look up information, libraries are very much on the "this thing has cited sources," so it makes it so much easier to cross-reference and find other materials. Even something outdated will have sources and make your journey easier on bridging past information with the current models because, hey, we stand on the shoulders of giants.
Outside areas are wide, open, and shady with real benches (aka a really good hangout spot, just pick up your trash)
An audio section
Mixed media section
Reserved meeting rooms. Use it for tutoring, game nights, or designated nap time during finals week. It's free. Just ask about the sign-in.
"Banned" books access. (Some school districts ban certain reading material due to controversial subjects (To Kill a Mockingbird, The Kite Runner, or The Handmaid's Tale), but some get banned because parental backlash (Harry Potter series, the Percy Jackson series, and Whereâs Waldo)
Cool programs, like the Seed Library and Adulting 101
Libraries are usually in the know of what social programs are active and available and can point you in the right direction: educational grants and scholarships, housing, food stamps and food programs, and medical care to name a few areas
Public libraries are also civic centers of engagement, so voter registration and a place to vote as well
Destroy the myth that libraries are no longer relevant. If you use your library, please reblog.
#humans being humans#books & libraries#they're are like aquariums and zoos and museums. some are better than others. every city has a vibe of curating it. you will have favorites

Unlocking Potential: The Value of IGCSE Computer Science Tutors
The International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) in Computer Science is a challenging yet rewarding subject, laying a crucial foundation for students interested in the dynamic world of technology. While classroom learning provides a strong base, many students find that dedicated IGCSE Computer Science tutors can be the key to truly excelling and unlocking their full potential.
Why IGCSE Computer Science Can Be Challenging
IGCSE Computer Science (often Cambridge 0478) goes beyond simply using computers; it delves into the fundamental principles of computational thinking, problem-solving, and programming. Students are expected to grasp concepts like:
Data Representation: Understanding how data (text, images, sound) is represented in binary, denary, and hexadecimal.
Hardware and Software: Delving into CPU architecture, memory, input/output devices, operating systems, and different types of software.
Communication and Internet Technologies: Exploring networks, protocols, and the mechanics of the internet.
Algorithm Design and Problem-Solving: Developing logical thought processes to create efficient solutions.
Programming: Hands-on coding in high-level languages (often Python), involving concepts like variables, loops, data structures, and debugging.
Security and Ethics: Understanding cyber threats, security measures, and the societal impact of technology.
The abstract nature of some concepts, coupled with the need for practical application through programming, can be daunting. Students often face hurdles in:
Translating theoretical knowledge into practical code.
Debugging complex programs.
Understanding intricate algorithms and data structures.
Managing time effectively in exams, especially with scenario-based questions.
Maintaining motivation when encountering difficult topics.
The Transformative Role of an IGCSE Computer Science Tutor
This is where a specialized IGCSE Computer Science tutor becomes invaluable. Unlike a general classroom setting, a tutor offers:
Personalized Learning Experience: Tutors can tailor lessons to a student's individual learning style (visual, auditory, kinesthetic) and pace, addressing specific weaknesses and building upon existing strengths. This focused attention ensures concepts are truly grasped.
Concept Clarification: Complex topics that might be rushed in a classroom can be broken down into digestible parts, explained through analogies, and reinforced with real-world examples. Tutors provide immediate feedback, correcting misunderstandings on the spot.
Hands-on Practice and Application: Tutoring sessions often involve extensive practical exercises, coding challenges, and guided problem-solving. This active engagement is crucial for mastering programming skills and computational thinking.
Targeted Exam Preparation: Tutors are well-versed in the IGCSE Computer Science syllabus and assessment objectives. They can guide students through past papers, teach effective time management strategies, and impart valuable tips for tackling different question types, including the often-challenging scenario questions.
Boosted Confidence and Motivation: As students gain a deeper understanding and see improvements in their performance, their confidence grows. A supportive tutor can inspire a love for computer science, transforming frustration into a sense of achievement.
Flexibility and Convenience: Many IGCSE Computer Science tutors offer online sessions, providing flexibility to fit learning around other commitments and allowing students to learn from the comfort of their homes.
What Makes a Good IGCSE Computer Science Tutor?
When searching for an IGCSE Computer Science tutor, consider these key attributes:
Strong Subject Knowledge: They should possess an in-depth understanding of the entire IGCSE Computer Science syllabus, including programming languages like Python.
Teaching Experience: Experience specifically with IGCSE or similar curricula is highly beneficial, as they will understand the specific demands and common pitfalls.
Effective Communication Skills: The ability to explain complex ideas clearly, patiently, and in an engaging manner is paramount.
Adaptability: A good tutor can adapt their teaching methods to suit the student's unique learning style and needs.
Problem-Solving Focus: They should emphasize not just memorization, but the development of strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Positive Reinforcement: Encouragement and celebration of small victories can significantly boost a student's confidence and motivation.
Access to Resources: Tutors often provide supplementary materials, practice questions, and past papers to enhance learning.
In conclusion, IGCSE Computer Science tutoring offers a significant advantage for students aiming for academic excellence. By providing personalized guidance, clarifying challenging concepts, and fostering critical thinking and programming skills, a dedicated tutor can empower students to not only achieve top grades but also develop a strong, lasting foundation in computer science for future studies and careers in the ever-evolving digital landscape
