Zuko, banished, no crew, no uncle, no quest for the avatar. Says "fuck this" aka, if I can get back to caldera maybe I can convince my dad to take me back. Horribly wounded thirteen year old finds dragons, starts a civil war by accident
Zuko didn’t think he was still delirious. The Sun Warrior’s healer hadn’t wanted him to leave yet, but—
But he’s standing here, back in the throne room, and the room is set up again for another war meeting so maybe he should have waited before coming in. But the guards hadn’t even asked him—or anyone inside—before they’d thrown the double doors open, so. He’d thought father wasn’t busy.
The general he thought he was going to fight at the Agni Kai is here, and so are all the others, even uncle. And father, at the head of the table, standing.
Father is the only one standing. Everyone else is... They’re kneeling.
When he’d come back to the palace, the servants in the courtyard he’d landed in had hurried to open the doors for him, all the way here. And the guards had let him in. And now the whole room is kneeling except for father who—
He doesn’t look like he did on the Agni Kai field. Father had been… he’d been so calm, then. He’d been doing what he had to do, to instruct Zuko, to correct him.
Now he just looks angry.
So. So Zuko is screwing this up, too. He practiced his speech the whole way home, it was a good speech, he’d based it on the one the Stone Prince made to his father the Mountain Emperor when he’d come home to beg forgiveness, bringing the treasures of the Ice Spirit with him as tribute. But Zuko doesn’t remember how he was going to start. And the flames behind father are getting higher, and hotter, and Zuko is okay now with flames that flicker with purples and golds and greens, but red flame is—
It’s so hot against his face—
“Father,” he croaks. “Father, I’ve returned. With dragons.”
He is so, so stupid. Ran and Shaw have flanked him from the courtyard, have wound through hallways paralleling his path, are snaking between the pillars of the room until coils of red and blue dwarf everything here. Ran breathes her own flames out, and the fires before the throne shift from Ozai’s reds to the shimmering rainbow-sparks of dragonfire.
“A sign from Agni,” Uncle Iroh says. He’s bowed like the rest, but Zuko can see his eyes, and there’s the same glimmer there that father and Azula get before they do something Zuko should have seen coming.
“You dare,” father says, and Zuko isn’t sure if it’s him or uncle he’s talking to. But when he takes a step forward it’s towards Zuko and when he raises a fist it’s towards Zuko and when he makes the fire it’s towards Zuko and—
(And Zuko cowered the first time the dragons tried to show him their flames. It was all around him, swirling, and he hit his knees and shoved his face against his arms because he’d learned better than to look up.
The fire stopped, and a whiskered nose nudged him, and then there was a huge scaly coil loosely wound around him until he was done crying, so at least the Sun Warriors below hadn’t seen how pathetic he was.
After that, it was… they made it a game. Little puffs of flames, the kind of sparks he used to make to keep Azula from getting fussy in her crib, until she was old enough to climb out and go exploring with him instead.
He flinched at first, a lot, but they didn’t hurt. Didn’t even hit him. And then it really was a game, where he would spin their colors in with his own flames, and send them back, and they’d keep playing as the flames got bigger and bigger but somehow they never got scary again.
When he’d stopped flinching at all, when he wasn’t a coward around his own element, he knew he was ready to return home. Grandfather had once welcomed uncle home with honors for killing dragons. So father would accept his apologies if he brought home two live dragons, right? Making friends with dragons had to be harder than killing them.)
Father’s flames were… they were just red. Zuko didn’t realize what he was doing until the war ministers were gasping. By then he was already spinning father’s flames with his own, mixing in all the colors father’s had lacked, and.
And sending them back.
(Batting fire around with dragons had not given Zuko a realistic grasp on the heat tolerance of the average abusive father.)
Uncle was not the first to bow, when Zuko had first entered. This time, he is.
“Fire Lord Zuko,” he says.
The war ministers are not prepared to countermand the Dragon of the West. Or literal dragons. They never left their knees, and they don’t start now. Foreheads touch the ground.
Zuko… Fire Lord Zuko’s first order is to take his father to the healers. He’ll let him stay there, longer than Ozai let Zuko.

His Wife (ProHero Izuku x Wifey Reader)
Day 5 of Breedingtober
Tumblr media
<<MASTERLIST>>
Izuku winds up on a podcast where they were talking bad about you, his beautiful wife. However sometimes, you need to calm him down.
Warning: Trying for a baby, unprotected sex, slight sexism and anti-feminism (personally I find it anit-feminist if you have a problem with someone being a house wife), angy Zuzu, teasing, slight brat energy from both Izu and Reader, petty Izuku, SMUT, BREEDING,
Words: 5k
You heard the front door open as you just managed to switch off the stove. It was evening and your husband had finally come back home. You moved to wipe your hands on the towel on your shoulder as you turned to the entrance of the kitchen. Walking in was your husband. You smiled. “Evening, Izuku.”
However, you didn’t receive an immediate reply as the giant prohero moved to pull you into his arms and release a heavy sigh. He closed his emerald eyes as he just wanted to hold you for a second. You raised an eyebrow wondering what had happened for this to occur. You flicked your gaze up to him, but you moved to rub his back supportively. Izuku let out a deep sigh as he rested his head on top of yours.
“Are you okay, my love?” You asked him with a raised eyebrow. Izuku didn’t answer immediately, not knowing entirely what to say to you about all of this. “How did the podcast go?” The large green haired man let out a groan as he let go of you and moved to lean against the counter. You giggled as you watched him move his hands down his face in exasperation. “Not good, I see.”
Izuku sighed. “I’m sorry, darling, for acting so down the moment I come home.” He apologised first and foremost. “You don’t deserve to be greeted like that, but…” He paused before letting out another loud groan as he looked to the ceiling. “I swear to God! Y/N!” He put his hands together as he looked to you straight and serious. “I’m going to murder someone.”
You chuckled as you moved to take off your apron. “Izuku, you can’t murder someone.” You calmly deflected logically. This wasn’t the first time he had made such allegations but you normally didn’t take it seriously unless it had to do with Bakugou Katsuki. Normally then attempted murder was their form of love language.
“Yes, I can.”
“Izuku, you can’t be a hero and murder someone.” You reminded him.
Your green haired husband folded his arms over his chest. “Honey, I am sure, if I can kill villains I can kill people.” You gave him a pointed look making him sigh.
You knew with Izuku’s jobs, there were certain unsavoury things that he had to do for the sake of peace and justice that made you wonder how far Heroes were willing to go to maintain their definition of law and order. You knew how much of a strain it could be, especially with him being the number one hero and him having to know and keep so many secrets from the public that you might not even ever know.
You sighed as you moved over to your grumpy green haired tree of a husband that leaned against your marble countertops. He had a frown on his face, showing how deep in his anger he was. You put your hands on his arms with a gentle smile, rubbings his biceps as you looked up at him. “My love…” Izuku closed his eyes at the sound of your voice. He let out a deep breath and dropped his head in defeat. You saw some tension leave him as you continued to smile up at him. “You just got home. You’re tired. Now, I’ve just made you pork, your favourite, and we can sit down and have a nice warm dinner together. Then you can hit the shower and we can sit down and talk about it with you having calmed down a bit with food in your belly and a nice relaxing shower to wash away the day. Okay?” You asked him.
He opened his eyes, those green deep jade eyes looked down at you lovingly. He nodded his head as he moved to put his hands on your hips. “What would I do without you?” He asked you gently. He bent down to place a kiss to your lips. You reached up and kissed him back. Izuku let out a soft breath, just having your lips against his and feeling you in his arms. You always somehow took all his pent-up energy away.
You separated from him with a happy smile. “You’d probably have killed Katsuki by now.”
“I’m surprised I haven’t already.”
“Izuku.”
He chuckled as he put his large hands up in surrender. “Okay, okay.” He moved to grab his laptop back. “Let me put this in my office and I’ll be down in a bit.”
Dinner was pretty normal, with Izuku wanting to spend the time focusing on you and what you did during the day. As a house wife, there was never really a shortage of things to do around the house, but a lot of your time was also spent working on projects that the Deku Foundation was busy with currently. Being wife to the Number One hero was a lot of work and a lot of energy spent on making sure that the brand that was Deku would stay up on top like it was supposed to.
With you heading a lot of that, you took a lot of nitty gritty work off of Izuku’s shoulders which he was grateful for. Especially with the Little Heroes Boarding School you were both planning on opening soon. Izuku nearly cried when you had told him what you wanted to start. A school dedicated to helping quirkless, less advantaged or abandoned children in finding their feet and cementing their future. It was perfect for what you both wanted to do to give back to the community directly. It was in its final execution phase with already a hundred children selected and it would be open in three months time.
You had been working so hard to ensure that it would be a success and Izuku couldn’t help but be so grateful and in awe for the amount of effort you had put into it. He took some less hours off of work to help you with it, which you were very happy about.
After that, you headed upstairs where Izuku took a much-needed shower to relax his muscles and you got dressed for bed. You were in your short silk nightgown by the time Izuku came out of the shower, drying his hair. You smiled as you sat down on the large bed in the abundance of pillows, Angelica-Nina laying next to you, flopping beside you.
Izuku’s shoulders lowered as he moved to lie down with his head in your lap. With the large hero lying down in front of you, Angelica-Nina moved over to hop to Izuku. She moved to settle on his chest, loafing herself as she settled in for a snooze. Izuku found his hand on top of her, petting her ears down as he sighed.
You looked down at him as you brought your hand to his soft still damp curls. “Still want to talk about it, love?” you asked gently. He nodded his head. “Alright, I’m listening.” You took a comb from the side table and gently started combing his mess of dark curls.
Izuku sighed and you knew by the tone of his sigh that it was something that deeply bothered him, but then again, with a husband as beautifully sensitive as your own, it was to be expected. “So I went on the Everything podcast, as you know. I don’t even know who on my PR team thought this would be a good idea but I went anyways. It was good the first half, I answered some questions, had a good debate and talk just about my life, UA, being Number One, my workout routine, a few controversial questions here and there but overall it was fine. To be expected. However, then we got onto the topic of you…” You hummed as you combed through his hair, but listened to him intently. His hand moved to rest on the black rabbit on top of him. You saw a slight rise in anger as his eyebrows furrowed. “So I talk about how we met, the wedding and all that stuff. Then one of the women on the podcast say, out of nowhere, ‘Oh that’s why you heroes could never handle a real women.’”
You tilted your head in surprise. “Excuse me?”
“RIGHT!?” Izuku nearly sat up, disrupting the rabbit on top of him, but you pushed him back down to lay down. “Now I was confused, I had the benefit of the doubt and I just questioned like whatever did she mean by that. Then she tells me, ‘You heroes always say you support women and that you’re feminists, but you ain’t. All you male heroes want are plain jane submissive women because you’re too intimidated by working women with their own opinions. You just want someone to wife up and keep your bed warm, you don’t want an actual woman. You just want a quiet breeder trophy wife.’” He quoted. “Honey,” Izuku chuckled darkly, immediately notifying you of the mood he was in. “I was going to kill a bitc-”
“Izuku.”
He closed his eyes, holding his tongue. He took a deep breath before letting out again. You always tried to keep his swearing to a minimum. Although Izuku was pretty good with changing the way he spoke depending on the situation, you didn’t need a slip up where the whole of Japan could turn and point at him.
He wasn’t Katsuki.
He sighed as he brought a hand to his eyes. You gently moved his curls back and looked down at his freckled face. “And what then?”
Izuku opened his eyes and looked back up at you. “So then I just told her, ‘The roles in my marriage is between me and my wife’, then proceeded to list every reason why she was factually incorrect, cause she was!” He spoke matter of factly.
Angelica-Nina lifted her head off of Izuku, realising she was not getting any sleep with this man around. She hopped back onto the bed settling in there. That’s when you noticed that your bunny that Izuku had gifted you for your first anniversary together, Valentino-Nino, a rather cuddly buck rabbit, hopped onto your bed. His fuzzy brown nose nudged Anglica-Nina. With the appearance of her comrade and lover, Angelica-Nina lifted her head up. The two of them hopped off your bed and proceeded to head out of your room to the hallway probably heading to their room and space in the house.
“I mean ever since the Endeavour scandal I know when it came to heroes and their partners a lot of the public was still pretty uncomfortable discussing in depth about it, but to go so far and say that all heroes are all like that? It’s absurd. Most heroes marry other heroes and if not, its not like they’re actively looking for some doll…” You watched his voice trail off a bit. You furrowed your eyebrows in concern. Izuku moved to look off to the side, looking almost a bit guilty. “But… it just made me a bit worried that maybe I was-”
“Izuku no.” You nodded your head. “Izuku, you’re feelings are valid and honestly I feel offended too.” You notified him making him nod proudly that he wasn’t overreacting. “I mean when we met, I was working and when we got married, I decided to be a housewife and that’s fine. You didn’t force me or hint that you wanted me to do that. It was a decision I took onto myself. You know why?” Izuku shook his head, not a hundred percent certain. “Izuku, in the unfortunate and unlikely circumstance that we ever got divorced,”
“Over my dead body.”
You chuckled. You placed a kiss to his pouty face and continued. “If that ever were to happen, it’s not like I don’t have any qualifications or money in my savings that I don’t have entirely in my name. And Izu, you make a HELL of a lot of money, half of which we keep in different saving and investment accounts. We don’t need a second income.” You reminded him as you gently massaged his head. “I mean yah, working would fill up my days more, but I’d rather that job be given to someone who might need it than to me who doesn’t. Plus, Izu…” You leaned down closer to him. You cupped his face in your hands. “When I took you as my husband I chose to trust you as a man and as a provider for this family. I’m not worried about income because you don’t make me worried about that. I can relax and do what I want to do and focus on the Deku foundation rather, or flood your phone with TikToks giving you baby fever so that you can finally give me a cute baby in rabbit onesie.” Izuku let out a laugh at that, remembering one of the more recent ones you had sent him. The two of you had recently started to try for a baby (much to Izuku’s relief for the fact that he hated latex, and he hated the possible side effects of hormonal birth control on your body). “Izuku, I want a baby.” You whined playfully.
Your husband chuckled moving to put a hand to your arm. “I know my love.” He moved his hand down your arm, grabbing your hand and  bringing it to his face. You saw a slight blush on his face. “I want it too, my love.” His voice was quieter than before, almost shy to reveal it, as he didn’t look you in the eye. You found it adorable, placing a kiss on his forehead making you chuckle. “But first,” He chuckled. “I just… are you sure you’re happy like this?”
Your face softened as you looked down at him with a smile. “I’m happy, Izuku. Don’t let other people define us. We work just the way we are.”
Izuku stared up at you, pupils big as he smiled gently. His eyes were soft as he reached up and put a calloused large hand to the side of your face. His hands bore the scars of the world and were rough from all the work he had put into them, however they were the most caring hands you had ever felt in your life. You closed your eyes and hummed with a smile. He moved to sit up and turn to you. “I appreciate you… you know that?”
“I know, Izu.”
“No, I’m serious.” He moved to pull you closer to him so that you slid down to lay beside him. He snuggled you close to his chest as he spoke to you. “You make me feel… you make me feel worthy of being a hero, worthy of being your husband, worthy of my quirk and worthy of being a man. Really I… I couldn’t be able to do everything on my own and you do most of it. I’m just the face.” You giggled at that statement making him smile. He placed a kiss to your lip taking you by surprise but you smile. “I love you, Y/N.”
“I love you too.” You chuckled against his lips, but kept against him.
Izuku kissed you with a hum from his chest. A few quick pecs that grew longer as the butterflies in your tummy grew wilder. Until he held you firmly, kissing you deeply. His tongue in your mouth and his hands around you, making you feel like putty in his hands. The thing about kissing Izuku was that it was as if he was searching for something. For something deep inside you that you didn’t know you had. His hand moved to wrap around your neck as the kiss turned messy, almost as if he was trying to swallow you whole. And when you gasped for air, it was almost as if he was disappointed. As if he wanted to drown in you trying to find it.
“Wait, wait.” You breathed out, making him stop completely, as he looked to you making sure you were okay, concern evident in his eyes and furrowed brows. You glanced to the doorway. “The bunnies.”
“The… the bunnies?” He asked with a raised eyebrow.
You nodded your head affirmatively. “Yah. I don’t want them to hop in on us.”
Izuku stared at you for a moment before letting out an amused chuckle. “Darling, the bunnies don’t care what we’re doing.”
“It would be indecent, Izuku.”
He motioned to the door with an amused scoff. “We see them humping each other all the time. You don’t see us bothered by it.”
You gave him a pointed look. “Their animals.”
“I’m an animal.”
“Izuku!”
He chuckled but moved to get up. “Okay, alright.” He got up from the bed and moved to close the door. He motioned to the now closed door as you sat up. “There no innocent bunny can hop in on us having sex. Are you satisfied, my love?”
“Very much.”
He laughed as he moved to sweep you up off the bed effortlessly, pulling you up to wrap your legs around you as he turned around and sat down on the bed with you on top of him. He smiled up at you, half hypnotised with you and half deep in lust at the thought of you. You smirked as you wrapped your arms around his neck and kissed him once more.
He groaned in pleasure as you moved closer to him, your hips moving on impulse. His large hands moved to your hips as he held you in place to grind down against his hardening cock. He loved the feel of you, one hand moving up and down your body, his hands having already memorised every part of you and yet wanting more. He wanted to know more of you for a thousand times over. Till his last breath, he wanted you even if he had had you a thousand times before.
You let out a soft whine as you felt his hard cock through his shorts rub against your clothed clit. You tightened your grasp around him as you chased that feeling again. He chuckled as he moved his lips away from your neck to look up at you, as he kissed your chin. “I want you like this.” He let out lowly.
“You want me to ride you?” You asked breathy and soft.
“All the time.” He smirked as he looked up at you. You chuckled but then a gasp and a moan tumbled out of your lips as you felt his fingers rub against your clit. You didn’t know how he got his fingers in the places that they did when his hand was so big, but you wouldn’t question it. You sunk in deeper, closer to his hand, your hips twitching as his thumb rubbed your clit and his fingers sunk deep inside your slicked up heat. You let out a giggle mixed with a moan.
Izuku couldn’t help but smile at the sight of you in pleasure because of his actions. He loved watching you feel good. He loved watching you feel good because of him. However, being a hero, Izuku noticed everything, and he always noticed when your hand moved down his shorts to free his cock. Your smaller hand wrapped around his shaft, loving the warm feeling of it. You loved watching him twitch and ache for you. You loved watching the way you dragged your hands up the underside of it making his thighs twitch for a second as you rested your hand around the head of his cock. You rubbed your thumb around his slit, spreading the pre that spilled from his head.
Izuku watched as you raised your hand to your mouth. You licked your hand, putting your fingers deep in your mouth, lathering them in saliva before moving your hand back down and moving to stroke his cock. At the sight of you, Izuku let out a groan as he paused temporarily from fingering you. “Honey,” He let out lowly. “I love it when you touch me, but I’m super pent up right now and it won’t take me long if you keep doing that.” He warned as you continued to move your hand up and down his cock, feeling him so firmly in your hands. You giggled, earning a raised eyebrow from him. Unexpectedly, a harsh thrust to that spongey spot inside you made you squeal unexpectedly, making him smirk. “Very funny, hm?”
You chuckled. “You’re so petty, Izuku.” You told him.
“Darling, I thought we already discussed how petty I am.” He effortlessly moved to lift you up with a single hand, a show of strength that made you clench around his fingers making him smirk. You carefully moved to align his cock with your entrance. He slowly lowered you down on his cock making you both hold in a breath.
You moaned at the stretch of his cock. You had loved that over the years you had managed to suit him just perfectly, almost as if you both belonged together like jigsaw pieces. Izuku loved that too. He loved that you were made for him and he was made for you. You were made to fit together like this. It made shiver run up his spine and a moan tumble out of his lips as you were finally seated on top of him. He licked at his fingers eagerly making you giggle.
You interrupted his quick taste test with a kiss to his lips. He wrapped his arms around you, keeping you stuck against him so that you could taste yourself on him. You moved to lift your hips before going back down on his cock. The action brought a groan out of the both of you as you steadily began to ride him, slow but consistent. You used your thighs to move yourself up and down, holding onto his shoulders as you did so.
You flipped your head back, closing your eyes as you enjoyed the feeling of him and you slotted together. Izuku watched with a half lidded gaze of lust with a smirk on his lips. You looked amazing like this, on top of him with his cock inside you. He gripped your ass tightly, holding onto you as he moved to shift your nightgown higher up so that he could easily watch your hips move as you moved up and down his cock. He loved watching you on top of him almost as much as he watched you underneath him. Nothing else mattered other than you and the way your face was scrunched up in pleasure, eyes closed as you held onto him for dear life, increasing your pace as you chased that knotted feeling inside you that ached for release.
He chuckled as he watched you rather recklessly bounce on his cock, your breaths increasing as you tried your best to chase that orgasm you were building up. You whined as you opened your eyes and glared at him. “What’s so funny?”
He shrugged. “Need my help, love?” He asked as he chose to lean back and watch you rather than assist without you begging for it.
You hesitated. You wanted to say no and keep face, bring yourself to your own orgasm while riding him, like you often did when you wished for him whenever he was away on a mission or at work, however you really didn’t have the self control to do that. Your expression changed and Izuku immediately caught onto it. It was one of need. Inherit need and aching, a whine tumbling out of your lips.
“Izu… Izuku please help.” You begged as you moved your hands over to grab at your chest as you looked over at him. “Please. Please, my hero.”
At the nickname you saw his green eyes darken in a way that had your sex tightening around him. Without saying anything he moved to grab onto your hips and slam into you making you jolt at the pain and pleasure. A cry escaped your lips as he started to move your hips up and down, easily falling into the same rhythm you had when you were riding him without his help. He moved to fall back onto the bed, shifting over so that you were a bit more forward, your hands moving down onto his bare chest to balance your weight.
Without warning he thrusted into you making you shoot up. “Oh FUCK! Yes baby! Yes! Just like that~” You moaned as you moved to jump and match his thrust in a perfect balance of him and you. “Fuck, Izuku, you’re so sexy. My big loving husband, always protecting me and standing up for me. You’re so amazing like that Izu.” A low growl left the back of your husband’s throat as he furrowed his eyebrows, focused on fucking you. You knew how much praise got to him, how much you just acknowledging him had him in a chokehold. “Give me your cum, Izu. Put a baby in me.” You pleaded as an orgasm took you by surprise as you moaned, your thighs trembling in pleasure as you sat on top of him, your eyes rolled back in pleasure.
Izuku let out a low groan at the feeling of your sex gripping his sex so tightly. “Good girl. Riding my cock like a champion, huh? You think I forgot how needy you are, keeping me late this morning just so that you could fuck me this morning. My wife’s such a needy little slut for me, aren’t you?” You nodded your head with a hum, your mind too numb off of the pleasure of him inside you to care much about what he said. He smirked. “Yah, you are. All you want is my cum dripping out of you, showing who you belong to. Showing- fuck.” He gritted his teeth at how close he was. A moan tumbled out of his lips at how your ass clapped against his thighs and the way your sex massaged his cock as you rode him like no tomorrow. “Showing who will give you a baby. You want that? Can I fill you up, darling?”
You nodded your head with a teary eyed plea. “Please.”
A low grunt escaped his throat as his thrusts grow harder and more sporadic, his grip on you borderline painful cause at this point he just was using you as a fleshlight and you couldn’t care less. You bit down on your bottom lip as you felt him pound into you until finally, he slammed inside you, making you squeeze around him as he came inside you. A gentle soft moan came out of your mouth as you felt his cum fill you.
Izuku groaned as he held you on top of him, however you rolling your hips as he went through his own orgasm didn’t help either. You giggled as you savoured the wonderful feeling of him inside you. Your hands moved down your body, gripping your breasts over your nightgown with a bite to your bottom lip. “You love this pussy, don’t you?” You asked softly, rolling your hips.
Izuku put an arm over his face as a blush went to his cheek, a groan leaving his throat as he tightened his grip on your hip with one hand almost painful. “Fuck~” You felt him twitch inside you making you giggle. “Don’t say stuff like that, darling.” He breathed out, moving his arm off his face, revealing a blushing freckled face. He relaxed back into the bed sheets, with you still on top of him.
You bent down low closer to him and placed a kiss to his lips and he immediately reciprocated back. “Feeling better?”
He chuckled. “Much. But… why do I have a feeling that you aren’t gonna let me sleep tonight?”
“What makes you say that?” You smirked.
He looked up at you for a moment, pure love in his eyes, adoring and endless and only for you. He leaned up closer to you. “The bunnies aren’t the only ones who lack self-control.”

A Snowy Starfall
Daddy!Azriel x Reader
Summary: Anon Req: Batbabies waging their OWN snowball fight imitating their dad & uncles. Some take it too seriously, others don't take it seriously at all, it's pure chaos that ends in cocoa.
Warnings: N/A
Word Count: 2,003
Notes: Happy Holidays my loves 💙
_________________________________________
“Come on, you three,” you tut towards your mate and his friends. They’re standing before the large glass windows overlooking your backyard. The sun casts deep oranges and reds across the snow-ridden land, your children shrieking as they play in the snow. A valiant snowball fight is running its course, and Azriel, Cassian, and Rhysand stand, faces pressed to the windows as they watch, quietly cheering their children on. “They’re going to notice you staring.”
“Maybe they already have,” Feyre adds from her spot at your kitchen counter. She’s concentrating intently on decorating a cookie, adding swirls of black icing to the gingerbread woman’s hand, creeping up her extended arm. The cookie’s dress is provocative, bare dough legs showing between slats of laced icing. She hardly glances up as she continues, “They’re probably imitating them as we speak.”
Curious, you peek out the window, too. Indeed, Wren and Baz have built a fortress in the snow to protect themselves from the onslaught of snowballs being thrown their way. Gideon and Nyx have joined forces against the two brothers, the latter packing the fluffy snow into tight, white balls, while Gideon launches their ammo towards your sons.
Your eldest daughter, Zuzu, and Nyx’s younger sister, Asteria, had joined the competition early on. They’d been a formidable team too, but grew bored of their brothers and cousin who were taking the snowball fight a little too seriously. Now, they are in the snow with little Castor, who had cried until she’d been let outside by her protective father, bundled up in so many clothes her wings nearly disappeared into the fabric. The girls are making snow angels, though Castor’s looks very much like a circle on the lawn.
Dark streaks dart behind the wall your sons have built and you frown, watching as Baz’s shadows help roll clumps of snow closer, creating perfectly circular snowballs. From what you’d heard from your husband’s friends, using shadows was against any and all snowball fight rules.
You cut Azriel a glance but he’s conveniently occupied, watching the game outside.
“Well, at least they’re both on the same team,” you comment to your mate, who refuses to let his gaze stray from the little boys. Good, he can watch them while he does the dishes then, since there’s a window above the sink. You pat him on the ass, nodding towards the mess of dishes in the sink. He nods in response, loping quickly over to peer out the window again. “So they’ll either both lose or both win.”
“They’ll both win,” Az responds immediately, a quick but pointed look your way. “They do take after me.”
Cassian scoffs behind you and you turn to see a scowling Nesta shooting him a look as he tries to steal a cookie. Jax giggles in her lap at his uncle's antics, but when Cassian hands him part of the cookie and its head falls off, Jax’s smile wobbles. He’s not outside due to the nature of his powers. As an empath, sensing the competitive nature of his siblings and the sting of a snowball to the face, it had been in his best interest to be inside around the luscious scents of cookies and warmth, instead of out in the bitter snow.
Nesta coos, bouncing him, and Cassian is thankful for the distraction, slipping further down the counter to where the High Lord sits, trying—and failing—to gain his mate's attention. The commander slips an arm around Rhys’ shoulders and glares at the back of Azriel’s head, continuing his complaining. “The only reason you’ve won so many is because of those damn shadows, Az.”
Azriel throws over his shoulder, wincing as Baz takes a snowball to the face, his face going red with fury. “How was I supposed to know they were unaffected by the magic restrictions?” he claims, sending said shadows out into the yard once he sees Baz’s slipping through the snow, headed for the icicles hanging off the railings of the porch. His intercept his sons in a display of authority, spearing them into blackened mist. Baz glances up to the window, locking eyes with his father, who wears a look of warning on his face, brow raised. Azriel watches his son visibly huff and take his anger out on the snow, building a ball and launching it across the playing field in frustration.
His gaze cuts across the yard, narrowing his eyes. Gideon and Nyx are crouched low behind their own pile of snow, looking like they’re scheming. He wants to trail his shadows in their direction, listen in on their conversation, but he’s alerted to Malos’ whines from the other room. If one of his youngest is awake, they either both are, or will be soon.
“Malos is up,” Az tells you softly, shutting off the water to the sink. He wipes his hands on a towel and kisses you gently on the cheek. You’re mixing color into icing for the cookies, getting ready for when it’s too dark out for the children to play. They’ll get all cleaned up and have some hot chocolate to warm their bellies, and you, Feyre, and Nesta have baked cookies for all of the children to decorate. “I’ll get them.”
“I’ll join,” Cassian answers, stealing another cookie off of a platter. He dunks it into your icing to the neck, the cookie dripping with sugary goodness as he lifts it to his mouth, shoving it inside. He ducks under your glare. “Gotta go get my baby.”
Cassian and Nesta’s youngest daughter, Sif, had been put down for a nap with both Knox and Malos. She’s still a little too young to be outside without supervision, and the eldest children of the Inner Circle demanded time outside without their parents, probably because they knew their fathers would try and take over their snowball fight had they been outside. They didn’t want any tips or tricks, not even your children, even with Azriel’s hundred of wins beneath his belt.
Jax climbs from Nesta’s lap over Rhys who lets out a harsh exhale when his knee lands a little too close to his private area, and then over to Feyre, who finally sets her cookie down to scoop your middle son in her arms.
“Pretty,” Jax comments, pointing at her decorative cookie. It looks just like her, and there’s one next to it that looks a little like Rhysand. Purple dots for eyes stare up at him. “Uncle Rhysie?”
“Good job, Jax,” Feyre coos, pressing kisses to his cheeks. They pink with a blush and he settles into her arms, looking utterly at bliss. He revels in the warmth of her emotions, the pride surging through her. It feels like warm bubbles in his chest, and he noses at her collar.
“Look who’s ready to party,” Azriel announces, entering the room, arms full with your two youngest children, Malos and Knox. Knox still looks a little sleepy, head resting against Azriel’s shoulder, cuddling into his warmth. His tiny wings are droopy with sleep, and his twin sister, Malos, is already reaching for the cookies.
Nesta is quick to scoop her away from Azriel. She claims not to have a favorite niece, but Malos and her have an understanding. You see more of Nesta in Malos’ personality than any of the children of the Inner Circle, and you’re extremely happy that they have such a close connection.
“Hi baby,” you greet Knox, who is signing mommy to you. You ease him out of Azriel’s arms, who promptly returns to his position in front of the window, pressing exaggerated kisses to his chubby cheeks. It makes him smile wide, flaring those wings that he hasn’t quite figured out how to control. “Are you ready for some yummy cookies?”
His dark eyes light with excitement. Of course your children are ready for sweets, they always are. They picked that up from Azriel, who has the biggest sweet tooth you’ve ever seen.
Cassian reenters the room with his daughter in his arms and Rhys pouts. Almost everyone in the room is preoccupied with a child in their arms, except for him. Maybe he can convince Feyre to have one more. The youngest children in the family are two now and he misses having a tiny babe around.
By the heated look in her eyes, his mate seems to be considering the same, sneaking past those shadowy walls in his mind to catch a glimpse of his thoughts. The High Lord smirks. He sends her over some imagery to go with his thoughts, and her cheeks go red. That hot look turns into one of warning, and she’s speaking out loud now, “Why don’t you call the children inside so they can get warmed up and decorate some cookies?”
“Of course, darling,” Rhys sweeps from his seat in a wisp of darkness.
Breaking a cookie in half, you give part of it to Knox, who signs thank you, munching on the sweet. The other half is passed to Malos as you head towards where your mate is finishing up the dishes, leaning against him for a moment, reveling in all of your family happily together.
“I love you,” Azriel murmurs into your hair, leaning over to sneak a bite of Knox’s cookie. Your son stares up at his father with wide eyes, and like this, he looks just like Az. It makes your heart warm, and Jax squeals in happiness in response, your happiness radiating to him. It makes your grin wider, peeking over your shoulder to see him so content in his aunt's arms.
“I love you too, Az,” you whisper back to him, resting your forehead against his.
It’s a nice moment, until the children from outside are wrangled through the door by Rhys. The boys are arguing about who has won their snowball fight, while the girls are peeling away their winter gear, excited to decorate cookies with icing and sprinkles and the edible petals Elain had given you before her trip to the Summer Court with Lucien.
“Now, now, boys,” Rhys starts, but the diplomatic tone he’s using does nothing to deter the cousins from arguing. “I’m sure we can come to a consensus without yelling and acquiescing.”
“But Baz used his shadows,” Nyx complains, wringing his gloves between his hands in frustration. “We all saw it.”
“Nyxie, don’t be mean to Baz,” Wren counters, brows furrowed. He doesn’t like it when his family argues, especially over trivial things. His heart is so kind. “You can win the snowball fight if you want, but Baz and I are gonna win the cookie decorating contest, right Bazzy?”
“No,” Baz says flatly, dropping his gear onto the floor. You give him a look but he almost seems un-bothered by it, done with the debate his cousins are currently having. “We won the snowball fight and we’re going to win the cookie decorating contest.”
You share a look with your mate, watching the scene unfold. Baz is quite the Stubborn Suriel, no matter what it comes to.
“Dad,” Nyx groans, “Can’t you do something?”
Cassian is the one who comes to the rescue, Castor reaching up at him for her sister. He helps the little one down and the older one with her undressing, peeling her thermals off layer by layer. “It’s not about who won, right boys? It’s about spending time and having fun with the ones you love.”
Feyre, Nesta, and yourself awe at his words, but Azriel and Rhysand are rolling their eyes and muttering under their breath at Cassian’s cheesy words.
“What a kiss ass.”
“Smug fucker.”
“Azriel,” you hiss, turning your body away from him, like that will hide Knox from his vulgar words. “Language.”
He winces, “Sorry love.”
It’s your turn to roll your eyes now, bouncing Knox in your arms a little as you turn fully from your mate. You poke Knox’s belly playfully before addressing the rest of the room. “How about those cookies, then? They won’t decorate themselves!”

Be kind, I'm rusty.
꒷꒦꒷꒦꒷꒦꒷꒦꒷꒦꒷꒷꒦꒷꒦꒷꒦꒷꒦꒷꒦꒷
The flap to the tent unzipping is the first noise that you register, the high pitched buzzes of the talking cicadas are next. The fire burning outside briefly illuminates your face as your boyfriend ducks inside.
Immediately you put your arms up, making grabbing gestures towards him with your eyes still closed. He hums, laying on your chest and snuggling his face into you while you wrap your arms around his head.
“I didn’t mean to wake you, baby.” Izuku mumbles, nuzzling his face against your breasts.
You throw your leg over his large back and sigh, pressing him closer to you, “I missed you anyways,” his hands start to rub at your sides. Large, calloused hands sneakily bunching his oversized shirt farther up your skin to expose your legs, hips, and lower sides.
“I missed you too.” He presses his lips to a clothed nipple and you giggle, “I can feel it”. His large length is pressing against your leg, nice and hard for you.
“The boys finally left,” he starts whilst pushing the shirt above your stomach, “Denki and Hanta are smoking and I think Ejirou and Katsuki might be at the lake.”
His hot mouth is against your belly now, pressing soft kisses into your skin even grazing his teeth every now and again as he continues downward.
“How much time do you think we have, Zuzu?” He is sucking at the flesh below your belly button, large hand tugging your underwear down before he answers. “Enough time for me to taste you and bury my cock inside.”
You two haven’t had any alone time all day and it seems you’re not the only one feeling the withdrawals. You wonder if his friends' constant teasing adds to this. You never knew that they teased him like they did about you, making snarky remarks like could he even handle such a sexy woman like yourself. If you two even do anything sexual or if you’re the top.
All kinds of assumptions you never thought they would have of your baby who takes any chance he gets to bury his fingers, tongue, and cock inside you. Your baby who knows how to give until you’re crying.
“How bad do you want it?” He asks as he thumbs at your puffy clit, sucking purple marks into your inner thighs until you’re clenching his hair.
“Need it ‘Zu.” You mumble, spreading your legs wider to coax his tongue closer.
“My needy baby.” He coos, kissing your clit which makes your back arch off of the sleeping bag on the tent floor. He inhales deeply before diving in, his large hands are fixed firmly on the backs of your thighs. They’re in his favorite spot because with ease he can spread you open for his tongue.
You moan when he starts from just above your ass, licking straight up until he gets to your clit where he encloses his hot lips around the perked nub. He is sucking hard while flicking his tongue quickly which makes you squirm, legs closing around his head.
“Already, baby? C'mon let me in.” He coos against your pussy lips, giving the entirety of your core kisses before pushing your legs further back.
“I’m so turned on, fuck!” You mumble and he hums, circling his tongue around your entrance. He knows just how much you love doing sexual activities in new places. Your senses are probably in overdrive right now being in the middle of the woods.
Oh and they are. This is why through the blankets of pleasure and raunchy slurping, you hear a twig snap. You freeze, “Izuku, I heard something.” You whine and he groans into your mound, tongue not stopping his onslaught.
“Please baby c-check.” You moan and he hums slowly detaching his lips from your cunny. He sits up, face pink and jaw wet, before unzipping some of the tent flap. The rush of air that pushes inside attempts to eat at your overheated bodies.
He pops his head out and looks over the campgrounds that you all set up this morning. Three tents and a bunch of chairs are still around the burning fire that you all made when it started getting dark. He squints just past that to the trees that enclose that campgrounds to make sure an animal or his friends aren’t approaching. Your small foot tickling his ear makes his attention revert back to you, “anything out there?”
“No baby, c’mere.” He doesn’t bother closing the flap up, opting to allow air inside for you two. Instead, he ducks low again, pulling you further down towards his mouth.
“You barely even looked!,” you giggle which turns into a low moan when he is licking through your folds again. The noise you heard is lost on you, but the four men are more than pissing themselves, having almost just been caught.
Katsuki sends a death glare at Eijiro who stepped on the twig while the other men punch his arm slightly. Quickly though, everyone’s attention is back on the tent. Your actions are displayed through shadowy silhouettes made by the light in your tent. However, their breaths hitch now that they can see a little slice into your world through the unzipped flap.
Your cute legs are pressed to your body as he slurps and licks with pressure that has your eyes squeezed shut. You tug on Izuku's hair hard enough that he winces, groaning as he bucks his hips, “ ‘m gonna cum if you keep doing that!”
“Yea? You like when I eat you out in the woods? That’s so naughty, baby.” He states, pushing a finger inside your spongy pussy and you’re melting. He wastes no time attacking your g spot and all you can do is nod, ears burning as you prop yourself up on your elbows.
“Give me a good one, sweetheart, so you can take this cock.” He knows your body all too well, knows just how hard to push his finger against your squishy button to have you seizing.
Your head lolls back as you feel your orgasm approaching, but Izuku captures it in his hand, keeping you upright so that you’re facing him. The men can hear his lewd encouragements laced with your pants:
“Just like that, cling to my finger just like that.”
“Fuck, you’re doing great!”
Then you’re moaning so loudly that all the men's eyes are widening, watching you come all over their friends' fingers.
Minutes later he is towering over you, swooping to press kisses laced with your slick that he sucked off his fingers to your glowing skin before prompting you to lift your arms up. The men hold their breath when your breasts spill from your shirt, making it harder for them to look away.
Izuku’s shirt follows fast, pushing his shorts and underwear just below his cock which is twitching with precum. They all hold back a groan when you grab your legs for him, holding them open as he aligns himself with a grin. Praises follow, “good girl, gonna fuck you so good.”
“Oh my-” You have to bite your lip to shut yourself up because you're too loud. You can never get used to how good Izuku stretches you out. How good he fills you up.
“Let me fucking hear you.” You’re no stranger to the sweet man’s demands, but the four men are shocked. Especially when he grabs your hips and digs his cock deeper into you, forcing a cry from your mouth.
He chuckles as if he isn’t stretching your pussy out beyond belief, “there’s your beautiful voice!”
His thrusts are more desperate than they normally would be in the beginning, fast and deep as he plunges through your velvety walls. His face is flushed and his green tufts are starting to get wet as he loses himself in your soaked pussy. You’re a wet mess, he can literally part you in half with ease and he loves.
“Zuzu,” you whine and to the men outside it sounds like you’re close, but what do they know about you? Izuku knows that whine, that sexy little perverted whine.
He bites his lip looking down at you , “you want more don’t you, baby.” You’re nodding vigorously.
“Yes I want you deeper, baby. I need it.”
He halts, capturing your lips in a sloppy kiss that has you heaving when he departs, “so desperate.”
He has you flipped over in an instant, so quick to give you what you want. A large hand lands on your hip, squeezing as he takes his cock in hand. You’re still panting from his meticulous manhandling when he pushes that fat mushroom tip into you that has you gasping.
His other hand lands on your hip and he snaps his hips forward, hard, sending you forward. Your body subconsciously tries to escape the brutal smashing of his fat cock into your cervix. Your hips move forward as he is preparing to thrust back in and he snickers. “C’mere. Why’re you running?”
He places a hand on your back and you freeze, knowing what’s to come. He’s rough when he presses you down into the ground, he knows you like it like that, pushing his cock deep into you.
“This is what you wanted right?” You mewl out a feeble ‘yes’ as he kisses the back of sweaty neck, but brings a large hand down against your ass. You yelp out a mantra of ‘yes’s much louder than before.
Precum spills from his cock and he groans, nodding, “show me then.”
As if you two have rehearsed this, you perch up on all fours and start to shakily thrust your ass into him. You look back at him, watching as he throws his head back. His pink tongue swipes across his lips as he lets out an accomplished groan. It gives you the encouragement and strength you need to push into him more, sending his cock against your g spot.
“It’s sooo deep!” Your voice is low and hoarse as you spear yourself on his erect cock. He’s starting to unravel, groping your tits and kissing and biting your shoulder.
“Fuck, faster sweetheart, FASTER.” He starts to match your thrusts. It sounds like it could be painful the way your thunderous ass comes into contact with the flesh of his pelvis. If not for the shlick sounds omitting from between your legs. The four men can hear it clear as day, you're soaked.
“Like this daddy?” You seek his approval desperately, launching your ass against him just so he can catch it with his own rough thrusts. It’s impressive how well he handles you, the way he stays upright and calculated against the onslaught of your round cheeks.
A stuttered whine leaves your mouth as your body freezes, “zukuuuuu! I heard it again!” Your senses are too good for your own sake, the men think as they look at Denki.
“G-go check?” It comes off unsure like you don’t fully want him to leave.
He chuckles, not slowly his hips, “but you’re so warm,” You clench around him in response, “you’re so safe right now.” He murmurs against your skin.
You're keening against him, “ahhh, fuck, thank you daddy!” He places a hand on your shoulder, starting to push against your gspot. You're moaning loudly, spreading your legs more so he can dig even deeper as if he can come out of your mouth.
Once again the noise is lost on you, but this time Izuku did hear it. Another skill of Izuku’s besides pussy obliterating is his ability to multitask. He never misses a beat, continuing to stuff you and earn moans and sloshes as he eyes outside the flap.
He can see them now— the four men frozen just beyond the campgrounds, almost obscured by trees and bushes. His hot chest is against your sweaty back in an instant, his lips pressing against your ear.
Teeth and spit against your ear make you shiver, “ ‘m sorry baby I think the boys are watching out there.” You don’t stop taking his cock in fact you slope your back more.
“Wanna keep going if you do.” You throw him a doe eyed glance like you’ll follow him to the end of the burning world. It makes his balls twitch as he nods, hoisting you upright which makes you squeal.
Now you’re both upright on your knees, the men have a full view of your curvaceous body being fucked into. He is a groaning mess now, grunting and slamming into your pussy like a madman. Your breasts bounce sporadically and he places a large hand on the little pouch of your stomach to keep you from running.
“Fuck, so rough. Izuku!” You whine, but he hushes you with a snap of his hips, cock directed towards you spongy spot and you’re reeling.
He’s all over you. His arms wrapped so tight around you that you two are basically glued together. His lips kiss and nip at your ear before he shoves his tongue inside like he would when he’s between your legs. All the while his cock never stops grinding against every nook and cranny of your pussy, smashing your squishy spot over and over again.
“Whose is it?” He asks, knowing it’ll push you right over.
You’re wailing, “it’s all yours Izuku! Oh god!”
You’re trembling, eyes glued shut as you start to fall into your orgasm. Expletives leave his mouth as he struggles to pull out of you when you're literally suffocating his cock.Normally he would leave his length inside of you, but this time he pulls out making you whine. Until you feel the pads off his fingers rubbing your clit in tight, fast circles.
Your eyes fly open and you choke on a moan, clamping your hand to his wrist in an attempt to halt his actions. It’s futile and only lasts mere seconds when he pushes you into a squirting orgasm.
Tears prick your eyes as you let out a sob, ruining the sleeping bag beneath you with the rush of warm liquid that splatters on your boyfriend too. They’re gasping, they can hear your release as it hits the sleeping bag. If they want a show, then he’ll give them one, he thinks as he pushes his cock back inside you.
“I’m too sensitive! Izuku!!” You’re a hiccuping mess, “want me to cum outside then?”
Your head falls against his shoulder, conceding your body to him. “No” You shake your head, tears getting ready to fall, “Don’t spill a drop outside my pussy.”
He groans, he’s eyes screwing shut as he thanks you, “That’s it, oh fuck, I knew you wanted daddy’s cum.”
“---can’t even think straight.” You’re crying. He knows how to make you cry so good, wet cheeks as a sign of pure pleasure. Every hair on your body up as he continues to pump and pump and pump.
You know he is close when his blunt nails dig into your hips, “Here! Here, gonna give it to you so deep!”
And he does. Your body clenches around him like you’re designed for nothing more than to be stuffed with his seed. You don’t know who groans louder, you or him, when he crams every last drop inside of you.
His head falls into the crook of your neck, hot breath fanning your damp skin, “I’m going to take you camping more often, pretty girl.”
A broken giggle leaves your mouth along with his chuckle before he pulls out. You huff completely spent as you watch him pull up his underwear and shorts before he starts helping you come down from your high and into his shirt.
“Let’s go wash off in the lake.”
He makes sure to carry you bridal style with the promise of more aftercare, kissing your skin as he explains that you don’t need your panties.
The next morning the men are silent. Not one joke about Izuku’s ability and it has you two rolling.

Oh to be an NPC in Stardew Valley! Their lives must be so interesting and unique, and yet, they have no clue of it themselves. It must be nice to be so clueless as to one's legacy.
Pelican Town was quiet, and peaceful for a long time. Tourism was beginning to bolster, and the town was growing. A young, aspiring writer took up residence in an old shack on the beach. A family moved in to the town, bringing laughter and joy. An artist fixed up an old cottage, ready to bring her creations to life. Other businesses begin to pop up as well; a doctors clinic, a blacksmith, a scientist exploring the valley. For a long time, life was good. The old residents and the new blood worked together to improve the town, and carefully grow their slice of paradice for others to enjoy.
Unfortunately, all good things must eventually come to an end. The Farmer, a good, kind man, eventually had to retire, and his spirit returned once more to Yoba. The local economy begun to waver, just a little. Lewis knew they'd be okay, but it would take time.
And then Joja Corp stepped in.
The first the townspeople heard of the development was the builders rocking up to begin construction. Lewis, who should have been informed of the plans, was outraged. Unfortunately, he was bullied out of filing any lawsuits by Joja's ferocious team of lawyers, hounding him into silence. Pierre looked on with worry as the Joja symbol was painted on the new billboard.
The new Jojamart did help to keep some of the struggling townspeople afloat, with it's cheap prices and large stock. Unfortunately, it had a chain effect that was felt by the whole town. Pierre was hit the hardest, having to lean in heavily on savings he had put together for retirement. In turn, Marnie's clientele hit rock bottom, as did Clint and Robin's. They had to rely on travelers and tourists to support themselves, of which there were less and less. Joja had turned the town's rustic feel into another slice of modern suburbia.
Lewis eventually couldn't affort to keep the bus going, and it fell into disrepair. No one visited. With the main highway carefully making it's way around the town, only the occasional visitor would stop in. Slowly, the town fell further and further into ruin. The once grand community centre lay wasted and abandoned, left to rot.
But while everyone was focused on the ruins and the past, no one saw the magic creep back in...
The old Farmer's grandchild was certainly a bit odd. New to the town, the villagers looked on in faint amusement as they sprinted their way around the town. Pierre, who was sadly preparing to sell the store, felt a faint sense of hope start to stir. Within weeks of their arrival, they had project after project lined up for Robin to begin, and she took to it with great vigour. Clint and Marnie, who's businesses had all but dried up, were suddenly back in swing. And once Gil and Marlon had shown them the mines, well, Harvey never ran out of patients. While the Farmer dealt with extradimensional entities and shook hands with the magic of old, everyone else was noticing the slight uplift. The old, rusted gears that ran the town had ever so slightly started turning once more. Morris sat behind his desk and happily assumed that Joja was there to stay, and magic was left for fairy tales.
As spring rolled into summer, little improvements continued. The annual luau was a bit more festive, and the pot luck just that bit sweeter. Everyone liked the Farmer, even the most jaded of residents had to admit that having them was a big help for the town. Pierre found himself with more stock than he knew what to do with, and had begun shipping it out the excess to the distant Zuzu city. Robin found herself almost constantly called out to the farm, as the Farmer was constantly asking for new barns and sheds. Linus was the first to notice the re-appearance of the magic. The green rain which the Farmer ran through happily, the little creatures hiding in the ruins of the community centre. The faint wails echoing from the mines. He quietly observed from a distance, but chose not to interfere. As distracted as he was from the local politics, even he could see the positive change that was occuring.
The Stardew Valley Fair brought new crowds with the recently fixed bus. Everyone knew who had fixed it up, but they had chosen not to come forward, so no one pressed the issue. With new tourists filtering through the town, it truly felt like the Pelican Town of Old. Welwick the Oracle glanced at the old Community Centre, ruined and abandoned, and then at the shiny Jojamart that stood nearby, and smiled to herself. She knew that someday soon the roles would be reversed. When Lewis checked the quarterly figures for the town, he nearly jumped out of his seat with excitement. For the first time in years, he was able to put back into the town savings, instead of skimming from the bottom as he had been.
It was a quiet winter's day when the Community Centre was restored. Lewis was going for his morning stroll, and something nagged at his brain, telling him to take a different route. As the grand building came into sight, he fell to his knees, and tried not to cry. Evelyn was next to notice, carefully making her way next to Lewis. She put a hand on his shoulder, and they simply looked on in wonder. "It's just how it used to be." Evelyn said.
Word spread through the town, and people came out to have a look. The inside was just as grand, with the reinstated town vault, plenty of areas for people to socialise and a proper office for Lewis to work at once more. Food was brought in, and they celebrated, harder than they had for a long time. More than one person had to dab their eyes from time to time, trying their best not to cry. The Farmer was the last person to arrive, and quietly watched the celebrations from a distance. A faint smile came over their face, and they seemed content.
It was a while before Morris found the community centre. He had only been out there once, to survey the land for the new warehouse he wanted built. The sight of the centre standing once more shook him to his core. In that instant, he knew that everything he had worked for was over. Despite his best efforts, the town had prevaled, and Joja had lost. Pierre officially saw to his execution, and he fled for Zuzu city in shame. The higher-ups in Joja Corp were not impressed, and Morris was never able to recover his position.
Life in Stardew Valley changed once more. The Community Centre brought everyone closer, made them feel like a real community. Lewis was able to fund more projects, clean up the town, make the festivals bigger. Willy's idea for the "Trout Derby" took off, and at the first annual event, more than a hundred avid fishers took off into the Cindersnap forest to hunt down the elusice Rainbow Trouts.
For Pam though, the biggest moment was when she came back from her shift at the bus station, and saw Robin setting up construction equipment where her caravan usually sat. At first, she was angry and afraid that she'd been moved, but when she heard what was happening, she openly wept and thanked Robin for her service. Pam knew that the house being built would ensure that Penny would have a stable future, with a place to come back to if she was ever in need.
Kent returned from his time as a prisoner of war, scarred and hurt. When he had left, the town was on it's last knees, and feared for it's future. To see the Community Centre standing once more filled him with a sense of joy he hadn't felt in a long time. Of course, that feeling was completely overrided by the ecstasy of seeing his wife and children happy and safe. It was a long time before he was able to open up about his experiences, but together they were able to heal and grow.
It was a warm, spring day, and Linus was foraging for salmonberries in the forest when a man appeared. He was dressed completely in black, with a broad brimmed hat and sunglasses to hide his face. Stars twinkled all over his clothing, as if you were looking directly at the night sky. Linus turned to look at him, and smiled. "Hello old friend. I was wondering when you'd show up next." The man in black smiled, and for a brief moment, you could see the blue skin beneath the hat. "I've been rather busy of late, but I thought I would just pop on in." No one else would see his firm grip on the valley, no one but the Farmer.
Sometimes, there were dreams. The townspeople would dream of screams and death. Creatures being slain where they stood, unable to stop the wrath of the monster. Children crying and running, reaching out for help, only for them to turn into doves and fly away, cooing cries of sadness. Some of the younger townsfolk would have vague memories of the farmer in a more intimate light. Perhaps a moonlit stroll, or a spring wedding, but then anger, and a sense of betrayal.
They would wake up in a cold sweat, trying desperately to remember what had made them chilled to the bones, but it always faded. Life in the valley is beautiful, but is it by their own volition or the hand that made it so?

i'm literally insane about the last agni kai and the lightning scene(s). i swear i've rewatched it 10+ times since my last rewatch of the show (which was my first watch in years) and like. azula sees katara come into view from behind. zuko doesn't. he follows azula's gaze and sees katara and is immediately horrified. he doesn't even think or hesitate because he doesn't have time and for once he doesn't have to look back at azula to figure out what she's doing because he knows what she's doing and he won't let it happen. time dwindling into slow motion as a haunting score plays? and zuko literally yelling out "no!" because that lightning absolutely cannot hit katara. as soon as he sees it there's no chance of that ever happening. and then katara watching in horror as the lightning flashes against features in what is probably one of the most hauntingly beautiful animated moments of the show? zuko hitting the ground still convulsing with lightning and katara crying out "zuko!" and immediately trying to run to him before azula attacks again? and the next scene we cut back to with them, zuko is groaning weakly and trying to lift himself up, and we see katara literally gasp in surprise as she realizes he's still alive (i'm sobbing because i do quite literally think she thought he was dead) and immediately tries to run to him again, nevermind that she knows azula is still there, and the hand katara uses for healing is already doused in water as she reaches for him. but then azula starts attacking again. and zuko, despite literally being in so much pain that he can't stand and can barely even move at all without whimpering, still tries to reach for the spot where he can see azula attacking katara. katara is forced to hide from azula's attacks. and as azula is mocking "zuzu, you don't look so good" down to zuko, the perspective shot is such that you can SEE that katara is also looking at where he lies prone in the distance, surrounded by flame (probably wondering how much time they have before it really is too late) before looking back up at azula and realizing she needs to defeat her as quickly and handily as possible so katara can get to zuko. obviously katara would have done this anyway (the whole reason they were THERE was to halt the continued cycle of the imperialist regime of the fire nation), but the scene is specifically framed as katara trying to figure out how to stop azula so the obstacle to her getting to zuko is no longer in the way. katara's defeat of azula was epic and deserves its own post. but then after making sure azula is securely chained, she runs to zuko, looks at him with such immense sadness and horror and fear as she hears him in so much pain, tenderly turns him over so she can get a good look at the wound. and she cups his head? briefly but so gently? so that he won't hit it as she turns him over? and when she tries to heal him you can tell she is so genuinely unsure if it will even work, and so relieved that she starts crying tears of joy when she sees it has (at least enough to keep him alive and somewhat lessen his pain.) they thank each other (and you can tell it's still really hard for zuko to talk and his eyes are barely open but he thanks her anyways i'm.) and she thanks him back and!!! when he starts to try to sit up she makes a little surprised face and then immediately helps him to do so (and puts a tender hand to his chest while she does!!!) and obviously that last shot of them standing together is also one of emotional support, but katara's hand on his back is also partly because i still think (and certainly katara still thinks) trying to walk/stand on his own would be a bad idea, so it's definitely not happening.

“Baby, Sa’ little late, don’t you think?” 𝐒𝐞𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐧 blows out the puff of smoke from his cigarette, shuffling from one foot to the other as his eyes continue to follow your every move. “Why don’t you come to bed? Im sure your crops can wait till morning.” He always admired how you worked, but when your health was on the line— he knew when to step in and try to redirect your attention to something else, which was mostly a calm ride to ZuZu City on the back of his motorcycle.
He can hardly see your facial expression when you turn around due to the light being so dim, but he can already imagine that your lips are turned down into a small frown— one that always makes his knees feel weak because you just look so pretty. He hears you let out a small, tired sigh. “I know, Seb, but winters coming up and they’ll die if I don’t and…” you trail off because you know, that he knows the gist of it all.
Sebastian frowns at the clear exhaustion that is evident in your voice, but you only wave him off with a small smile, which of course doesn’t change his mind. He goes to flick his cig out his mouth and onto the ground but stops, knowing how hard you work on the farm, he quickly jogs towards the nearest trash can before making his way back to you.
You’re crouched down and just finished dusting the dirt off a pumpkin you harvested when a hand is placed on your shoulder, and when you look up— a soft smile is on your husbands face while he looks down at you, his eyes full with a mix of pleading and adoration. “Love, please, I can tell you’re tired.” You have no time to protest before your softly being pulled up by the arm and into his arms.
“What— Sebby?” You try and use the ‘cute nickname card’ that always lets you have your way, but surprisingly— it doesn’t work this time as your crop layout gets further and further away from your vision. And although your much stronger than Sebastian, you don’t try to fight him on this one and just nestle into his arms, wrapping your own around his neck and closing your eyes contently. You think maybe the end of this seasons produce wouldn’t hurt too much to loose.
He lets out a string of curses as he fumbles with the door nob to the front door, so he balances you on his hip so his hand can be accessible, and in no time you’re both away from the cold night breeze and inside your cosy home and seated on a stool near the kitchen counter. You watch your husband chuck some wood and firelighters into the fireplace and igniting before making his way back to you.
Your eyes lazing follow his movements when he crouched down in front of you and taps his thigh, and when you make no sign of moving, he lightly chuckles and pulls your foot up and starts pulling off your work boots— not caring about the mud that stains the new pair of jeans he just brought.
“Thank you, Seb. I appreciate what you do for me.” You lean your head on top of his and rest your eyes, and Sebastian— who’s now massaging your sore feet, sighs before a small, almost unnoticeable smile takes over his face. “Baby, compared to what you do everyday, this is nothing.”
Your quiet snores full his ears and he takes it as his sign to stop and finally get you to bed. As gentle as he can, Sebastian scoops you back into his arms and makes his way to your shared bedroom, plopping you onto the edge of the bed before shuffling around the room to find a spare shirt lying around— afraid that he’ll make too much notice if he opens the closet door.
The small lantern doesn’t help much as he can hardly tell where the clips to your overalls start, so he just pulls them over your shoulders and off your body, changing your marked, farm shirt and into a black, skull print one you brought for him on his birthday, one that he wears every other day.
He doesn’t even notice the adoring smile he has on while tucking you under the blankets, instead just patting down your hair and kissing you on the forehead goodnight. “I’d do anything for you.” He knows you can’t hear him, but that doesn’t stop him from spilling his love— it’s almost good because he cant feel embarrassed if you don’t know what he’s saying.
You’re so deep in sleep you don’t hear Sebastian trudging on his shoes and slipping on his jacket, sending your sleeping form one last glance before making his way back outside. He’s watched you work around the farm more times than he could count, so harvesting crops can’t possibly be as hard as it looks.
Spoiler alert, it was. When you wake up, Sebastian’s fluffy black hair doesn’t tickle your nose like it normally does in the morning, and instead is filled with the sweet aroma of pancakes. Pulling the hem of your shirt— one that you don’t remember changing into, over your underwear, you tiredly make your way to the kitchen to see your husbands back facing you while serving up breakfast.
“Good morning, Seb.” You yawn, rubbing the sleep away from your eyes and shuffling over towards him— wrapping your arms around his waist and leaning into his back.
“Morning, love.” His voice is raspy and dry when he turns his head back to look at you, sending you a smile before pulling you towards the dining table, which to your surprise— is over crowded with baskets upon baskets full off all the crops you were trying to harvest last night.
“Wha— Seb, you, I don’t—” words start to make no sense as they fall from your lips. Sebastian, your husband, someone who hates going outside and rather stay indoors, used the time that should have been spent sleeping beside you, was instead put into your farming.
“I knew maintaining a farm was hard, but when I was actually doing the work, it made me realise just how much effort you put into this stuff. It’s not a lot— but I hope I made your job just a little bit more easier.”

week two: phone sex
Tumblr media
nsfw, oral sex, dirty talk, toy used, implies tall!reader wc: 534 summary: buying a phone from robin was a mistake.
Tumblr media
Buying a phone from Robin changed your farm life. You didn’t need to travel to her house to see her stock or prices, you got to call the saloon, and Pierre’s to see what he was selling for the day.
However, having the phone did come with prank callers and Vincent randomly checking in on you.
One rainy day, you and Haley were hanging out in your cottage. You had been dating for a while and the intimacy between you two intensified. The first time you two had sex was heavenly. Literally. You two roleplayed as an angel and devil and it was obvious who played each role.
“I’m bored.” She sighed, standing up from the couch. You followed her and wrap an arm around her shoulder.
“Well, there’s a lot we can do.” You suggested. “Watch TV, cook together, feed the animals—”
“No.” Haley disagreed. She turned to you, tip-toes, gently pinned you against the wall, and placed a soft kiss on your lips. Your kiss picked up, to the point where you were taking each other’s clothes off.
Ring. Ring. Ring.
You rolled your eyes, stopped the kiss, and grabbed the phone.
“Hello?” You asked, trying not to moan. Haley’s lips went down from your cheek to your collarbone and your chest.
“Hi! It’s Robin!” The carpenter sang.
“Ah fuck—” You whispered as your lover knelt down. She started kissing you, licking her tongue around you, sighing happily as you twitched and nearly lose your composure. “I mean ah, my fudge!”
“You baking brownies, farmer?” Robin asked.
“U-Um yeah, trying out a new recipe from Zuzu City.”
You heard Haley leave for a little bit, probably to get a pillow or blanket to kneel on. Grateful, you continued your conversation.
“So what do you want to talk about?”
“Oh! I noticed your coop isn’t upgraded yet. I think you should consider doing that because you are probably buying more animals…” Robin chatted endlessly about the farm.
You masked a moan as Haley motioned you to lean on the kitchen counter. You felt your toy she bought for you at your entrance. She knelt down again and kissed you, adding tongue around your rim.
Haley lubed up her fingers and inserted one gently..then two…then three…then, she stood up on a nearby chair, and thrusted the dildo inside. She was prepared and had it attached to a belt. When it came to lovemaking, she wasn’t soft as you expected.
She was thrusting hard, grabbing your hair and making you look up.
“You look so sexy babe,” she whispered, kissing your forehead. You felt like you were on fire, your body trembling with pleasure.
“…and you need another well…”
You mouthed out her name, squeezing your eyes shut. Haley gave you one last thrust and quickly jumped down from the chair. She pushed you back, straddled your lap, and kissed your chest, biting your nipples. Then she knelt down and roughly kissed your front.
“…how’s this phone treatin’ ya?”
“I like it!” You yelled into the phone. “Fuck having a phone is awesome!”
Robin didn’t hesitate to end the call. In fact, she was pretty impressed with how long you lasted while having the conversation.

# PURPLE LILACS !
[06] - dude... | prev. | m. list | next
ace trappola x fem!reader smau
! warning(s) : cussing, st@bbing mention, sewerslide & kys jokes, is ace developing a crush? is he not? well never know, author real story incorporated (yes the scissor story is real.) ! w/c : 865
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
even through your doubts, you chose to accept aces invitation in the end. perhaps this meeting will help clear up said doubts, who knows? plus, you suppose it wouldn’t hurt too much to pay the octatrio a little surprise visit.
upon entering the mirror chamber you immediately notice the ginger waiting for you by the octavinelle mirror, fiddling with his phone angrily. probably texting deuce, you assume. once he takes notice of your nearing footsteps he looks up and immediately brightens when his eyes land on you. “[name]! i didn’t think you would actually come!”
“.. that would be really rude. sounds more like something you would do.”
he winces momentarily, then after a moment, he nods in understanding, “can’t say i blame you for thinking that. shall we go?”
ace holds his arm out for you to take, which you glance at warily, only to walk past him and through the mirror.
it’s not that you don’t trust ace, you’ve been through a bunch of shit during your time in nrc together, but you don’t really want to be seen arm-locked with him, either. people might get the wrong idea, or something (you fail to realize you’re literally going on something that looks like a “date” to outsiders).
after a short mirror trip you find yourself outside the magical octavinelle dorm building. due to the dizziness the mirrors effects still have on you, you stumble a bit upon landing and immediately feel aces hand on your arm to help you steady yourself. after the year you spent here, your friends have all learned the mirror makes you dizzy, and there’s always someone reaching a helping hand out whenever you use it. ace himself has done it a million times before.
so why is your heart racing just a tad faster this one time?
and why are aces hands shaking slightly?

“jadey my dearest!”
“seven save me,” was all the eel got to utter before getting body slammed.
“oh, how i missed you so! i’m so happy to see you’re finally back from war!” you say, wiping some fake tears from your cheeks.
“he is not ‘at war’. he is simply ‘working’. as all humans should, because some clearly have way too much time on their hands.”
“zuzu! … go back to war, i did not miss you.”
azuls expression was a hilarious mix of flabbergasted and backstabbed and you wish you had a free hand to take a picture, but it seems floyd had you covered when you notice his flash go off.
“what’re ya here for today, shrimpy? .. oh, crabby is here too! here for a squeeze?”
“no. nope. absolutely not,” out of the corner of your eye you could see ace slowly backing away from floyd, who wore his signature menacing grin–
“c’mon floyd, back to work you go.”
–before azul (who was still pouting) hauled him away. to this day you still don’t understand how he can do that.
“thank you, zuzu! love you!”
“i hope you explode.” (he’s not pouting anymore)
“so, what are you here for today?”
“ace asked me to hang out. i decided i’d see how it goes.”
“i see,” the eel hums in thought, “alright. give me a call if anything. or floyd. any of us, really.”
“thanks, jade. i hope i won’t need to."
Tumblr media
“he threw you down a well?!”
“he sure as hell did! and our dad just stood by and watched, no words, nothing! like a damn statue!”
you’re pretty sure you’re doing an ab workout with how bad your stomach hurts from laughing so much.
“they couldn’t even pull me out! had to call the fire department, they were all like, “oh yeah, my child tripped and fell in the well in our backyard” tripped and fell my fucking ass, hello?! i was screaming ‘n crying when they got me out.”
“i’m so… so sorry… i can’t-can’t breathe–” you continued your hysterical fit for a short while longer before you finally managed to calm down.
“ohhh my god i can’t believe this, man,” you finally took a drink of the smoothie jade placed on your table about 30 minutes ago, “your childhood days were fucking wild.”
“yeah,” he copied you by also drinking from his drink, “how about yours? if you want to share that is, i understand that’s a.. sensitive topic right now.”
“no, no, it's fine. umm.. let me think..” swirling the contents of the glass before you, you thought deep and far back into your memories, until you found something appropriate, “oh, i stabbed myself with scissors once,” ace nearly chokes on his drink, “intentionally, i think? we were making some christmas cutouts with my mom when i was 7 and she left me unsupervised for 5 minutes. i started playing with the scissors pretending they were planes and the plane was supposed to crash into a mountain, which was my knee, and yeah. boom. scissors i my knee, blood everywhere, mom screaming bloody murder, and im just staring with my stupid little blank face.”
you look up from your smoothie and ace is staring at you like you just told him you ate your foot raw.
“dude…”

## ❝ after the events of the phantom bride wedding, ace started wondering whether he still had the ability to charm girls. he hasn’t thought about anyone romantically in years, hasn’t really flirted with anyone either, what if he’s gone out of it? perhaps it’s time to put his talents to the test; with the person who hates him most, no less. if he can charm her, he can charm anyone.

A retelling of the end of Zuko and Azula’s Agni Kai because we were ROBBED [Zutara]
”Zuko!” Katara yells, but another blast of lighting is hit close to him, separating the two.
Zuko tries to focus on the fight occurring in front of him, but the pain in his chest is beyond anything of what he expected. It’s excruciating, who knew Azula’s bending could be this painful. He had encountered firebender after firebender when fighting, but Azula was beyond them. Or maybe this just hurt more because she was his sister.
Zuko groans and reaches his arm out, trying to get up and fight as much as possible. But everything hurts. His body feels frozen and he can feel his heartbeat cry.
”You don’t look so good Zuzu,” Azula yells, he’s not quite sure from where. His eyes keep on closing without his permission and his body keeps on aching with every breath he takes, but he knows that if he lets his consciousness go, he may never get it back. So while Katara fights Azula, he’ll fight himself, and they’ll both win.
The sounds of water and lighting fill Zuko’s ears, and he tries to imagine what is occurring in his head.
He hears Azula say something else, this time, it sounds a lot more like a mumble in his ringing ears.
Then, silence. Zuko worries over what’s happened. It’s too quiet. A thousand thoughts flood his head at once and they all end with one of them dead.
Zuko winces, this time, he’s not entirely sure if it’s from the pain or the scenarios coursing through his head.
Almost as soon as it started, however, the silence ends, and the splashing of water can be heard not far from Zuko. This time, the sounds are all too loud, he can hear the clinking of chains against each other as someone is tied, and Zuko prays it’s Azula.
He hears Azula grunt in frustration and he knows Katara has won. He lets out a small sign before unwillingly redirecting his attention to the pain he can feel everywhere.
Katara comes over to him and flips him to his side, taking out leftover water and bending it to fit around her hand shape. She lightly presses her hands against Zuko’s wound on his chest and lets it heal.
Initially, he hates the feeling of pressure on his fresh wound, but it quickly fades as he is relieved of any and all pain. Zuko opens his eyes and looks over to Katara.
”Thank you, Katara,” he rasps out.
she smiles and tears tug at her eyes, “I think I’m the one who should be thanking you… We did it” she replies, letting the tears from her eyes finally fall.
Zuko looks at her and the tears streaming down her face.
”Are you okay?” He asks, taking into account her physicality. It doesn’t look like she has any wounds.
Katara tilts her head, still lightly crying. “What do you mean?”
”You’re crying,” he obviously points out.
”Yeah, tears of happiness,” she laughs out.
Zuko looks over to Azula, whose hands and mouth are iced as to avoid attacking any further. He looks back over to Katara who looks equally as confused as he feels over the concept of tears of happiness.
”You… Cry when you’re happy?” Zuko finally clarifies.
”Yes,” Katara quickly answers.
he tilts his head as Katara did earlier, still not grasping the idea.
”You’re doing it too,” Katara finally points out.
Zuko widens his eyes and brings a hand up to touch the bags under his eyes which are indeed wet. “That might be moreso from being shot with lighting than joy, if anything. Are you sure you’re okay?” Zuko checks Katara’s arms and analyzes her face.
”Zuko, I never thought I’d say this, but you have a lot to learn about being happy.” Katara lightly jabs at him.
Zuko lets out an “mmm” of acknowledgement, still not completely sure if Katara is okay, but allowing her to win the conversation.
Katara takes Zuko’s arm and allows his to lay his weight on her as they begin to leave.
”And for the record,” Zuko finally continues, “you’re a pretty crier.”
Zuko is just able to catch a glimpse of Katara’s face heat up before she turns her head the other way.
”You’re so awkward,” she says, flushing.
”It was a compliment!” He argues.
And Katara laughs. A nice, light laugh that almost makes Zuko forget everything that happened.
This time, it’s his turn to turn away his blush.

omg please sam + transports for the mundane things ask!
🚗 Transports HCs ───〃★ Sam
a/n: omg hi!! here's some transport HCs about our favorite golden retriever boy Sam. Hope you enjoy! Likes and reblogs are greatly appreciated🫶🌷
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Do they have a driving license, whether it's for a car or bikes?
Sam has a driver's license, but he doesn’t own a car. It was actually his driver’s license that landed him a job at Joja Mart. The only times he gets to drive is if he has to do some deliveries for Morris or if Luis has him run errands around Pelican Town.
Do they have any other kind of driving licenses (planes, ships, buses…)?
No, but that didn’t stop him from convincing Willy to let him steer the boat going to Ginger Island. And because I can't live without the tractor mod, I say that Sam took a liking to using your tractor to get to places in the farm. He got it painted red.
Do they own a car?
He doesn’t, but he and Sebastian often browse car websites when they hang out in Sebastian’s room.
Do they own a bike?
He had a kid's bicycle when he was young, but he never bothered to continue biking after Jodi and Kent got him a toy drum set for his 6th birthday. His bicycle is mostly being used by Jazz and Vincent now. Sam managed to convince Sebastian to teach him how to ride a motorcycle.
Are they the kind of person who thinks of their car as if it were their baby? Perfectly clean, not a scratch, almost overly protective of it?
Sam gave names to both the Joja Mart truck and Luis’ pick-up: Billy and Joel. He thinks he’s clever for coming up with them. He takes good care of them when he’s driving, keeping them clean and smelling fresh. He went into hysteria when he accidentally spilled Joja Cola on the passenger seat of Luis’ truck.
Do they use public transports? If so, do they like using them?
Sam does and he’s indifferent to it. Whenever he has to ride the bus, he always sits in his favorite spot by the window. He likes to look out and pretend he’s in a music video. He picks at the leather seats, much to Pam’s annoyance.
Do they like going on trains?
He’s never had the chance to ride on a train before, but he always runs to the train station whenever a train passes through the valley so he can watch it. When you two got married, you and Sam would sometimes just ride the train going to Zuzu city and back to the valley. He takes complete advantage of the free snacks on board.
Do they like going on boats or ships?
Sam loves them and would always go to Ginger Island if given the chance. Sam and Elliott would sometimes hang out on Elliott's boat and talk about music.
Do they like going on airplanes?
Sam has only been on a plane twice so far, and he loved it. He found out about Harvey’s plane hobby when he had to do his doctor’s visit and saw Harvey’s little plane statue on his table. Harvey ended up showing Sam his plane stuff and gave him one of his many tiny plane memorabilia. Sam and Harvey's friendship blossomed from there.

some random lighthearted hcs ^_^ 👍👍 cus all ive been posting is angst shit tralalalaaa
-iroh and lu tens biggest beef (satirical exaggeration) was always over tea preferences. they both love it- but in just wildly different ways. lu ten liked tea with milk and ginger and cardamom and sugar and black pepper and all kinds of other spices and shit (aka saffron chai). meanwhile his father is, as we all know, one of those snobs that dies on the hill of appreciating tea with its delicate and natural flavors alone. even if it just tasted like grass. one time, though, iroh was overjoyed to hear lu ten found a tea he liked just on its own (aka hibiscus tea), without add ons. but then was dismayed to immediately discover that lu ten liked it served cold (aka karkadeh). later, just to fuck with his dad, lu ten announced that he discovered its even better with the additions of citrus juice, honey, and mint. iroh just cant ever win with his boys
-azula is the youngest so its like instinct to be annoying. like shed get genuine urges to go and annoy zuko somehow someway. not all the times shes annoyed him are malicious- sometimes shed go in his room and if he was at his desk shed pluck the brush out of his hand and throw it across the room and take all the candles out and leave without closing the door behind her. or if he was laying down shed pull his socks halfway off throw his blanket on the floor and leave. she did it all wordlessly for comedic effect until he was like “why.” and then shed start cackling like a maniac
-lu ten enjoyed engaging in little kid activities with azula and zuko. hed sit on his stomach and kick his feet while finger painting. hed play whatever the fire nation version of hopscotch is with them, along with mai and ty lee. when azula covered his mouth before he said something to embarrass her in front of ty lee hed lick her hand and shed start screeching. hed make jokes about zuko being short even though lu ten could legally drink and zuko was like 10 so it didnt even make sense
-lu tens azula nicknames: lala (naturally), pumpkin, crab cake, sweetheart, baby (the last two only come out when its just the two of them or if shes upset. she has a reputation.)
lu tens zuko nicknames: zuzu (naturally), turtleduck (also naturally), princeling, squirt, shrimpmunk (note how most of these are a cute joke about him being Tiny and Small)
the kids called him lulu when he called them zuzu and lala. when he was teaching azula how to talk she called him baba for like a week to his dismay and panic, even if she didnt know what that meant, until he got it through her head that he wasnt the one to be called that. and ozai wasnt either because unfortunately he isnt the casual type
(he also called ursa auntie in front of anyone. to his great joy, ursa told him that ozai complained about it to her. thus, he continued to do it)
-lu ten made time for the kids not by ignoring his duties in their favor but by overachieving and overworking to stay as far ahead of his duties as possible. the faster he got shit done the more time leftover he had. his favorite thing to do with them aside from ember island was sneak them out of the palace and into the town during the evening, when they had all the best street food and outdoor theater set out
-roughhousing and chasing each other around was always a thing iroh and lu ten did before things got awkward and sour. their pai sho games- when they werent using it as a vessel for serious conversations- were loud, dramatic, and funny to witness. like iroh would be swearing and lu ten would be laughing hysterically. the servants would come and go with refreshments while giggling
-iroh and lu ten also engaged in Old Man Activities together. like you know how old folks just sit on porches for hours for no reason??? iroh and lu ten would do that together in the palace garden. they also did morning meditation and prayer at the ass crack of dawn
-before zuko was born and it was for the most part just ursa and lu ten, she got homesick a lot, and taught lu ten some of the stuff she did before marrying into the family. so lu ten knew how to make shit like jewelry, clay masks, and embroidered fans
-on ember island trips the three did a lot of cooking together. azula liked making sweet treats and fruit platters, zuko liked making kimchi and fried snacks. cleaning the mess is just as much a bonding activity as making the mess
-lu ten managed to keep whatever the hell he had going on with zhao a complete secret from iroh and ursa, zuko was just oblivious, but azula… is perceptive. and nosy. and protective. so one day when zhao leaves the palace azula approaches lu ten from out of nowhere and is basically like “(Katt Williams voice) You have an unnatural allegiance to losers and its not like you 😐”. he has no clue what to say to that
(it was not to azulas knowledge that zhao was harassing zuko constantly during his banishment. had she known, she wouldve done something about it. Not something that would inconvenience her father or the navy, obviously, but she wouldve definitely done something. #Trust.)

There’s banging on the door. So loud it wakes you in your bed. You roll over, dizzy with grogginess, and stumble onto your feet. Zuzu, your sleepy calico, only lifts her head before dropping it back down. She doesn’t have energy for human concerns.
You follow the banging as it continues and come out to the main room of your apartment. Your neighbours aren’t exactly peaceful but you don’t expect such a rude awakening. You go to the door and peek through the peephole. You can see nothing as it’s covered from the other side.
The door shakes and a voice holler through, “police.”
You’re not sure you trust the disembodied declaration. You keep the chain hooked but turn the latch back. You lean into the door and inch it open. It’s pushed from the other side to the limit of the links.
“Hel…lo,” your greeting splits in two as the officer drags his hand away from the door. It’s the same man from the bookstore. The sheriff, he said.
“Good mornin’, ma’am,” he drawls with a coy smirk, “we got calls about a disturbance in the building. You hear anything?”
His question hangs between you. His eyes drift down to your crooked pajama shirt and the pajama pants clinging low to your hips. You cross your arms and sniff. You not his badge; Sheriff. L. Bodecker.
“I just woke up. Didn’t hear a thing,” you answer curtly.
“We’re just makin’ sure everyone’s safe,” he looks you in the eye and tilts his head, “ladies livin’ alone…”
“I’m fine,” you feel the way he pushes even more on the door. You almost fear he’ll pull the chain completely loose.
“Ya mind if I have a look around?” He asks.
You stare at him, unflinching. Something about this doesn’t seem coincidental. It’s as ominous as the words that dogged you since your tense meeting in the parking lot.
“Do you have a warrant?” You breathe.
He chuckles and pulls his arm back, shoving his foot into the small space between the door and frame, “now,” he rubs his ruddy cheek, “why would I need that if you’re not hidin’ anything?”
“Hiding? What? I just don’t think it’s necessary for you to come in. I told you, I haven’t heard a thing.”
“Mmm,” the noise rumbles up his throat, “just lookin’ out for ya. Wouldn’t want some creep hangin’ around.” He clucks and puts his hand on his hip, “rough neighbourhood.”
“Thank you for your concern, but I’m fine,” you insist.
He smirks again and gets closer. You keep your hand on the door but lean away, “I’m sure you can take care of yourself. You’re a smart girl and all.”
“Sir,” you eke out.
He laughs and taps the door with his knuckles. He pulls his foot out of the door and you nearly slam it with the release of tension. He backs up, pushing out his stomach as he eyes you from head to toe. You hide behind the barrier but it feels like he can see everything.
“You stay safe,” he winks and turns lazily on his heel.
You snap the door shut and quickly turn the deadbolt. Your heart pumps wildly as you cling to the handle. You listen and hear his soles scuff down the hallway. You wonder how he found you but you guess it’s not that hard given his position.
🚓
The rest of the day holds little of note. No more surprises, even as you watch over your shoulder. Not just for the sheriff but your manager. Colin isn’t subtle as he circles like a hawk each time you’re with a customer.
You’re probably the most helpful employee left in the place. Ever since that older woman disappeared on sick leave, you seem to be the only employee without an addiction to TikTok. You can understand being distracted in a bookstore but definitely not by your phone.
You leave for the day and stop on your way home to get take out at the Lebanese shop at the corner of your street. They have a combo sale that costs you as much as a homemade meal. You’re feeling lazy and too agitated to deal with a hot stove.
You feed Zuzu after she serenades you shrilly. You eat with her pacing behind you on the couch, waiting for any scrap to pounce on as she forgets her kibble. You try to ignore her as you watch a documentary on Alexandre Dumas. You lose interest shortly after you finish your food and shut off the television.
You recline on the couch with your book, too stubborn to go to bed yet. You know you’ll fall asleep the minute your head touches the pillow. You lay against the armrest and ease into the collection of essays on the Victorian era and various strains of relationships; from friendship to marriage.
It’s not the most compelling to the non-academic but you find spurts of intrigue. You yawn and turn the page, the quiet coaxing you further into your fatigue. Your eyes turn itchy and the font begins to smear. You close the book and get up, leaving it under the lamp as you flick off the light.
You collapse into bed as Zuzu claims her spot by your feet. It doesn’t take much to fall asleep, the world slipping into blackness in a blink.
The sharp hiss brings you back to the world. You sit up, trying to shake away the cloudiness in your skull. You hear Zuzu jump onto the floor and scurry into the next room. Then a crash.
“What the he–” you murmur as you shove yourself to the edge, “Zu, what are you doing?”
You call out to the cat as you follow her into the front room. As you come out, the darkness is thicker than you expect. The curtains are drawn, blocking out the streetlights and the moon, but you don’t remember closing them.
Zuzu hiss again then lets out an angry yowl, her claws tearing into the rug as she rips around the room. Another clatter as you search through squinting eyelids. What is going on?
“Zu,” you think you see her dash across the floor. You bend over and lunge, trying to catch her, “Zu, chill–”
You feel something clasp around the back of your neck, stopping you in place as it holds you bent awkwardly over your knees. You extend your arms, fingertips on the floor as the thick fingertips pinch into your tendons. You whimper in horror.
“Ain’t no good for a girl like you to be livin’ on her own,” the sheriff’s voice rolls through the dark.

Winter Winds
Azriel x Reader
Summary: Anon req: ik you probably won’t get to this in a while but i just read “in ribbons” and absolutely loved it!! got me so hot and bothered. anyway, thinking abt az, reader, and the kids got me thinking…what if the entire ic and their kids are all at wind haven for some trip or something. the oldest kids are pre teens, a bit older maybe. while at the camps, someone attacks the reader and she’s like seriously hurt. like seriously seriously hurt. az goes ballistic, and all the kids get so worried. but especially the older ones, maybe wren baz and zuzu, they get super angry and want to help az get revenge for their mother?
Warnings: Injury, mentions of blood and gore. Traumatized children but they are otherwise unharmed.
Word Count: 4,921
Notes: You didn’t think I forgot about posting today, did you? Silly. I didn’t make them pre-teens, they’re I guess a bit younger than that but close, but I think I’ve got most of the idea in here, except the revenge part. Sorry about that and sorry in advance this one’s kinda sad.
_________________________________________
“Daddy?!”
His son’s frantic voice slices up his spine like an icy blade, plunging deep and cleaving him in half.
At the sound, Azriel’s body flashes hot with adrenaline and everything else slows to a crawling pace.
He spins on his heel instantly, ignoring the grumbling of the camp warlord who’d been reporting to him, now muttering under his breath about letting his savage brood run wild in the camps, that he doesn’t know how to raise them.
His family means more to him than anything, and that terrified shout from his son to grab his attention isn’t one he’s heard in years.
Something is very very wrong.
Azriel’s heart stammers in his chest like the frantic beat of wings in war when he locks eyes with his second oldest son, Baz.
He shouldn’t be out here alone, even if he has been in the training camps for nearly two years now and knows his way around. If any of the warriors had grabbed him and thought to teach the Azriel a lesson through his child…the spymaster shivers at the thought.
The more pressing concern, the one that makes his brows twitch into confusion and fuels his feet forward and nearly halts his heart in his chest, is that young Baz isn’t dressed for the cold. The Illyrian mountains in the peak of Winter could give even the most attuned warrior frostbite in mere minutes, and Baz isn’t even wearing a coat.
Worse yet, there’s tears streaming down his ruddy cheeks, cherry red from his journey.
He must’ve run the entire way to meet him in boots that are untied and tripping him in his haste to find his father. If someone’s stolen his jacket Azriel will be the last thing they see as he–
Azriel’s slipping out of his own coat, uncaring that the snaps rip open by the base of his wings. He needs to get his son bundled up, and quickly, before he comes down with something worse than the cold Azriel already knows is in his future. He scoops Baz into his arms, wrapping him carefully and hugging him close to his chest. His shadows swirl around both of them, already preparing to winnow them away.
“What’s wrong buddy?” he’s whispering, wiping the tears from his son's bruning face. Sometimes he and his older brother will get into arguments that have one of the boys running to Azriel in a fit full of tears but never something quite like this. Baz knows how to put his coat and tie up his boots and not to run across the camp alone–
The little boy in his arms releases a sob that nearly shatters the snowy peaks of the mountains surrounding them, “Mommy–”
He doesn’t need to continue. Azriel winnows them back to the house without a second thought, hugging Baz tightly to his chest, lips pressed to the crown of his sweaty black hair. He hopes that his son can’t feel him trembling, fisting his hands in his coat to stop the shaking. If something has happened to you he doesn’t know what he will do. How he will survive.
But he would’ve felt it, if there was something wrong, through the bond you share. He lets his shields slide down, reaching out for that golden thread, the one that feels like warm summer winds in the night sky, your hand caressing his soul.
There’s nothing.
Azriel gives a sharp tug but receives no response as he and his son arrive in a mass of black shadows on the front porch. The bond grows more taut with worry the more he tries, desperate pleas for you to respond that go unanswered as he shoves the door open with a heavy boot.
The house is in complete chaos.
His shadows scatter immediately, searching and returning with whispers of bloody fingerprints on the counter top, streaking across the wall in his bedroom, on the doorknob to the bathroom, while he frantically searches the room for the rest of his children.
Horror coils his gut at the scent of his mate’s blood, thick in the air. It makes him choke, hot and heavy in the back of his throat.
Azriel sets Baz down, nearly tearing the door off of its hinges when he shuts it and turns the lock. He allows himself a single drawn out breath while his mind reels for a plan of action.
Wren looks more worried than his little brother, though Azriel knows that his eldest is trying his best to keep his emotions together for his siblings.
He had a screaming Jax in his arms, the younger boy clearly distraught about the heightened feelings of anxiety and concern smothering him. He reaches up for Azriel as Wren carries the struggling babe closer, trying his best to keep hold of his brother.
“Dad,” Wren breathes a sob of relief, but Az notes the twins in their playpen, Malos’ cries are loud enough for the silent wailing babe beside her, four sets of tiny hands curled around the brim of the pen with white knuckled fingers.
“Wren, I need you to watch your siblings for a little bit longer, okay?” Azriel’s voice is strained with tension as he calls out to Rhysand in his head, his golden eyes a hair wider as he searches the room for Zuzu. He rubs a reassuring thumb across Wren’s cheek and over Jax’s hair, trying to calm the little boy down. “Uncle Rhys and Uncle Cass will be here any minute, alright bub? They’re going to take us all to the River House.”
Wren’s lip quivers but he’s squaring his shoulders as he looks up at his father, “Mommy’s hurt.”
“I know,” it pains him to say it, but by now he knows, “I’m going to get her, will you and Baz help the little ones put on their shoes please?”
Wren nods and sets to work helping his father while Azriel rushes towards the bathroom where his shadows have located both Zuzu and you.
He finds Zuzu is sitting in front of the bathroom door, banging on it as she wails for you. Her throat must be raw from the screaming because she sounds horse, tears dripping down her face and snot bubbling from her nose.
Azriel hears Rhys and Cassian appear in the living room, and he lifts Zuzu up from under her arms as Cassian appears, his first thought to help his brother.
“Az–” Cassian sounds nervous for his brother. When he’d gotten the call a short time ago telling him that he and Rhys needed to pick up the children because something had happened to you his heart dropped, terrified for his best friend.
“Just take her, please,” Azriel pleads, letting the worry he feels coat his words. His throat is tight with emotion and he doesn’t know how much longer he’ll be able to keep himself from going berserk because he can see the red painted handprint on the brass knob and the smell of your blood is overpowering.
“I’ve got her,” Cassian nods, and the look in his hazel eyes gives Azriel brings forth that last shred of hope as his brother turns away and he twists the knob.
His knees nearly give out at the sight of you, unconscious and lying in a pool of your own blood. You look paler under the luminescent faelights, the hand holding together the gaping wound in your side now slack in the puddle of crimson.
Your name is a cry of helplessness on his lips as he dives forward, knees cracking against the tiles as he slides closer, pressing his fingers to the pulse point in your neck and caressing your face with the other, a shaky hand brushing the hair back from your face.
His shadows have alerted him that you’re breathing, but barely so, and he releases a shaky breath because he wasn’t able to feel the barely there beat of your pulse beneath his fingers with how badly they’re desensitized from his own burns and the pounding of his own heart.
But Gods–the gash in your side is something a warrior would receive in battle, like you have taken a long sword to the side, your flesh tearing open, muscles and blood and–
No, he doesn’t want to think about whether he sees an organ or not. No, he needs to focus on stopping the bleeding. Azriel can’t help but think, his beautiful mate…who has done this to you?
Rhys and Cass both appear within seconds, having called for the best healers in Velaris to the River House, where his children now are, under the care of the High Lady and Inner Circle themselves.
“Az,” Rhysand murmurs, hardly louder than a simple breath as he takes in the state of the room. His spymaster, on his knees in a pool of your blood as he tries his best to stop the bleeding. The towel you had grabbed is already sopping wet with blood and there’s no signs of it slowing.
His wings are drooped low behind him, the slippery warmth of the floor against the thin velvety skin is a reminder of exactly how much blood you have lost.  Had he been any later, had you not sent Baz–
“Help me.”
It makes both brothers freeze, the utter helplessness, the devastation in Azriel’s voice, so small, so soft, unlike anything they’ve ever heard.
They jump into action.
“Az,” Cassian approaches him like he’s approaching a wild beast, unsure of how to approach this side of him, soft footing and hands raised in surrender. The spymaster lets his brother place a hand on his shoulder, turn him from his spot so that they’re looking at each other.
Cassian has never seen Azriel so panicked, not in the 500 years they’ve been best friends. Not through the wars, the nightmares, the births…not even through the mild complications you’d gone through when the twins were born. No, he was a solid wall, not an ounce of emotion had cracked through the barriers he had built, but this…
His chest heaves with every breath he takes, short and quick and filled with anxiety. Azriel’s hands are vibrating when Cassian takes them in his own. He doesn’t care that he’s kneeling in your blood, that Az’s hands are slippery with it, all he cares about are his friends.
“Az,” he tries again, and the usual honeyed gaze of the shadowsingers meets his own. He’d startled him. Can see the swirling emotions racing behind his eyes; the hatred, the scared, the utter fear, his mind unable to grasp onto one feeling long enough to put thought into it. “We’re going to take you to the River House, okay?”
He’d carry him if he had to, but Rhys can get the job done. There’s worry that Azriel might explode, break completely in his hands and let the beast within him finally take over. And if that happens, he’s glad the children are far away, because no one, not even Cassian nor Rhysand, will stop him from turning the Illyrian camps into nothing more than a tornado of black mist.
Azriel isn’t seeming to comprehend what he’s saying, head tilting down to look at where his hands rest in Cassian’s grip, thumb sliding through the cooling blood on his hands like it’s not the ichor of his mate, painting his hands the color of Cassian’s siphons.
Rhys comes around the both of them, crouching to place a hand on each of their shoulders. The wisps of darkness that carry them through the planes of the continent must strike something within Azriel because he’s tensing under his touch and wrenching away.
“Az,” Rhys commands softly, hands raised to show no sign of wanting to corral his brother’s anger, “The babes are right in there.”
The reaction from his statement is near instant, locking down his emotions little by little like the scales of his armor retracting into his leathers, until there is almost nothing left.
Azriel spins on his heel, already heading towards the shut door between him and the muffled cries of his children on the other side.
Cassian steps into his path, stopping him.
He watches the spymaster assess him with a trained eye but Cassian’s already weighed his brother's reactions in his head, being a true warlord himself. There is no way he will let the children see their father like this, worked up with their mother’s blood all over them.
Rhys draws the attention of the shadowsinger again, both Illyrians goading him like a tiger waiting to strike, “(Y/N) is this way. She’s with Madja and her best healers.”
The sound of your name strikes him low, chest caving and reaching down the bond for you again, knowing there will be no response, a wall of icy metal stopping him from entering.
Azriel glances at the door again, but makes his way towards the room you’ve been hauled off to, worried for your wellbeing.
The saliva is thick in his mouth as he ascends the stairs, his brothers tight on his flanks. His hands are curled into tight fists and he can feel the cracking of your blood on his hands in a way that would normally be calming if it were anyone else's blood, but not yours.
Never yours.
He pushes into the room and doesn’t look at the wound or the few nursemaids that are crouching over you. He doesn’t look at the bowls of water stained crimson, the towels dripping or the clothes they’d cut you out of, he keeps his focus on your closed eyes.
He’s quick to find his place at your side, perching out of the way as he reaches for your hand but freezes when he catches sight of his own.
“Here,” Cassian’s soft voice has him looking up, the warlord holding a freshly damp rag for him to take, not even a touch of red on it.
His throat works against a swallow as Azriel takes it, scrubbing his hands like he’s the one who’d rubbed his skin down to the bone and left these scars.
He does the best that he can without spiraling. He’s had blood on his hands before, many times, but the fact that it’s your blood has him reeling, immediately stopping the work on cleaning his own hands in favor of helping you clean yours.
When he’s done he hands it back to Cassian who gives him a soft nod and a sad smile. Neither are the things he wants to see right now. All he wants to see is you opening your eyes and looking at him, smiling, laughing, unharmed.
There’s nothing else to do but wait, which he does so quietly, stroking his thumb across your forehead while his other keeps your limp hand firmly tucked in his grasp.
He doesn’t look at the wound they’re stitching up, but he can’t help himself from reaching down the bond every few minutes, silently praying to the Mother that you will respond.
His brothers wait by the door. Rhys lets Cassian get cleaned up and check on the children while he watches Azriel from across the room, his own heart aching for his brother in this situation, to be near his own mate at a time like this.
But he stays put because that’s what any of them would do for each other, even when Cassian comes back, hands clean and clothes new, no traces of your blood on him.
They know that there will be no moving Azriel from your side to clean up, so they don’t even try. When Feyre dips her head into the room, catching a glance at you and your mate on the lone bed, a handful of healers working frantically around, they share a look.
It’s Rhys who approaches him this time, making sure his footsteps are heard by the shadowsinger as he nears.
He watches Azriel’s shoulders pull up taut, his spine stiffening and shadows curling his rounded ear that the High Lord is approaching.
His golden gaze is a harsh glare, a warning to stay away, and although Rhys understands the look, it still hurts.
“Az, maybe you should get cleaned up,” he suggests softly, keeping a healthy distance away from the bed. The healers have started sewing up your wound, having been able to stop the blood and stabilize you, and their work will be done soon.
The shadowsinger’s face doesn’t change as he looks back down at you, dismissing Rhys with that single action.
“The kids,” he tries, “They’re worried. They want to see you.”
Azriel nearly startles at the mention of his children. They’d been half scared to death when he’d last seen them, frantic and worried about their mother just as much as he was. He can see them all clearly, Wren trying to be strong, Baz’s red face wet with tears, Zuzu and Jax and the twins all crying out for help, understanding that something was horribly wrong.
“The kids,” he murmurs, as if he’s not even there. Azriel pets your hair again, smoothing his fingers down your cheek, across your lips, finding their way to the juncture of your jaw and throat, where your pulse is.
Rhysand waits with a baited breath as Azriel counts, comes to whatever conclusion in his mind that he can, grasping for some sort of sign that you might be okay.
The beating of your heart is constant, evened out even though one of the nurses has already told him as much. He won’t leave you if he doesn’t think you’ll be okay.
But he knows you would want him to make sure the children are okay, so he places a kiss on your hand, ignoring how the warmth hasn’t quite returned to it completely, before settling it comfortably at your side and standing from the bed.
He follows his brothers from the room and as soon as the door snicks shut behind him and the wail of Zuzu is carried to him on the whisper of a shadow, he breaks.
He makes a break for his children, his flight sense kicking in but he’s hauled backwards into the arms of Cassian, holding him tightly across the chest as he struggles.
If he were in his right mind he’d be able to figure a way out of his hold.
“Az, you have blood all over you,” Cassian grits, his breath puffing with the struggle of keeping Azriel in his hold. He’s writhing like an animal, trying to tear his way through whomever he needs to to get to his family. “You can’t go in there like this. You’ll scare them.”
That makes him stop struggling, worming his way out of Cassian’s touch.
“But Baz didn’t have a jacket on–”
“He’s already been looked at by a healer,” Rhys supplies, trying to calm the skittish shadowsinger.
“And Zuzu’s been screaming her head off,” he retorts just as easily, mind reeling at how his children must be feeling.
“She’s been given a soothing tea for her throat,” Cassian adds, fiercely protective of them as he is his own children.
“And Jax–”
“Jax is an empath,” Rhys agrees, ushering Azriel towards the other end of the hallway, “And it’s normal for him to react like that with all of the emotions running rampant in the room at the time. You need to calm yourself down if you are to hold him, your reactions will harm him more than Wren’s. For now he’s fine. They’re all okay, Azriel. Here and in one piece, waiting for you.”
Azriel’s wide eyes are glossy as he looks between his brothers, back and forth as if he’s searching for anything other than the truth there.
He won’t.
“They’re okay?” he asks again, not quite sure he believes it.
Both of his brothers nod, “They’re okay Az. Promise.”
.·:·.☽ ✦ ☾.·:·.
You feel like utter shit.
Like you’ve been carved down to the bone with a blade. There’s a pounding in your head and when you open your eyes the room spins, bright with light. Your head goes with it, the whispers of words striking like a bell tower to your brain.
“(Y/N)?”
That voice silences everything.
You squeeze his hand, blinking against the faelights until the three Azriel’s you see finally become one, perfect, mate.
“Az,” you breathe.
He bites his lip, hardly able to contain the relief he feels in this moment. He knows you’ve just opened your eyes but he’s squeezing his shut tight and resting his forehead gently against your own.
And the bond floods with warmth, his breath catching in his throat.
“I’m here,” your free hand finds his hair, smoothing through it the best that you can in your weakened state, “I’m here, Love.”
He nearly whimpers, would have if his mind hadn’t gone immediately into spymaster mode, seeing you awake.
He pulls away from you all too quickly, sitting straight in his spot beside you, the golden glow of his iris’ swimming with dark shadows.
“Who.” he asks, and it’s not a question. It’s the only word he can get out, voice dipped in steel and as sharp as the blade he’s been filing for the days you’ve been under rest.
“Some old relative,” you cough, throat dry, and you hiss at the pull in your stitches. Azriel is quick to help you drink some water down, soothing the roughness in your voice and the pounding in your head. “Claimed to be so, at least.”
“Fucking bastards,” he spits, the shadows in his eyes sweeping into hot, angry flames, “I’ll kill every single fucking one of them.”
“Az,” you sigh. You love your mate dearly and this is about as normal a reaction as you would expect from him, but you’re so achingly tired. “Are the kids okay?”
He shudders at the thought of something happening to your children and kisses across your knuckles, your hand in his shaking ones.
“Yes, the babes are fine.”
You settle a bit more, knowing that truth. The fact that Azriel has referred to them as babes shows you just how terrified he truly is.
“How are you feeling?” he whispers, propping his chin where your hand is holding his.
“Tired,” you offer, because you’re afraid that a joke might push him over the edge. “Can I see my babies?”
Azriel looks like he might protest. You’ve been changed and brought to a different room once the painkillers and healing drinks the nurses had forced down your throat had begun to work, but he thinks of his rowdy children and your fresh injury, he worries for you.
But you’re pleading, “Please, Love. I need to see them.” And he gets it.
Because he finds himself needing to see them as well.
“Drink some more water, tell me what happened, and I’ll get Rhys to bring them in.”
You hold his gaze, nodding finally.
Azriel helps you drink some more water, nearly a whole glass before you begin.
“I was on my way back from the mercantile,” you start, swallowing harshly as you wrack your brain for what had happened. “Just a quick trip to get some treats for the little ones,” you laugh dryly, tears welling up in your eyes. Azriel’s quick to thumb them away, caressing your cheek with his warm hand.
“I didn’t see him coming until it had already happened,” you admit shamefully. Your mate had taught you better than that and you had failed him.
Your mate sends nothing but warmth down the bond because while you may have been taken by surprise, he knows you didn’t go down without a fight.
“I didn’t understand how bad it was until after he was laying in the snow next to me and I looked at my torn coat and saw all the blood.”
You remember crying out as his blade slashed across your body and took you to your knees. You’d been able to act through the pain, kicking a foot out behind you and sweeping your attackers feet from under him.
It was easier to pry the longsword from his hands when he was gasping for air and even easier to make sure he never took another breath again.
“I don’t remember getting home,” you exhale a shaky breath, “I was just holding my side and there was so much blood Az, so much blood.”
He shushes you softly, upset with himself that he’s asked you to share this story. If he had known your attacker was dead he wouldn’t have asked and before he can try and stop you you’re already continuing.
“I was afraid to go home,” you admit, and his hand clutches yours tighter, “I didn’t want the babes to see me like this.”
Your admission hangs over the both of you, loud in the otherwise silent room.
“I’m glad you did,” Azriel’s voice is thick with emotion, “If you hadn’t and I had lost you…”
“You didn’t,” you reassure, maybe for the both of you, “Let’s not think about that.”
He doesn’t know how he’ll ever be able to think about anything else but he nods, agreeing.
“I hid it the best I could, but you know Wren,” the thought of your oldest brings a smile to your face, “He’s so smart, that one. I told him to watch the babes for me while I went to clean up and he tried to talk to me, tried to ask me what was wrong but I just kept going, telling him that I was fine and would be out in a minute…” you trail off because you weren’t out in a minute. On the floor unconscious in a minute more like.
Azriel kisses your knuckles, lingering on your fourth finger before he answers, “He told Baz to come get me. I was talking to a commander and he came running up screaming and crying out for me. Scared me shitless I tell ya. Didn’t even have a coat on.”
Your eyes bulge and you try to sit up, distressed over your son out in the mountains without a coat, “Is he–'' your question is cut off by a hiss and Azriel’s on his feet guiding you back down onto the bed, gentle hands on your shoulders.
“He’s alright, Love. They all are. Got them all checked on while they were helping you. Not even a sniffle,” Azriel soothes. He relaxes when your shoulders droop and you settle back into the pillows.
“Thank you,” you whisper, thumb brushing across his knuckles, “I love you.”
“I love you too, (Y/N). So fucking much,” he breathes, shuddering when you caress his cheek.
You tug on him weakly, puckering your lips for a kiss that he easily ducks down for, the tension melting away from his body now that you’re awake in his arms.
“Can I see them now?” you ask as soon as you pull away. Your mate huffs playfully, already calling out to Rhys in his mind.
The door slams open, Wren and Baz racing into the room with the Inner Circle hot on their heels. Rhys is holding Zuzu, Feyre’s hugging Jax close to his chest while Cassian and Nesta each hold a babe, their own boys trailing in behind them.
Azriel shoots to his feet, catching his two oldest sons around their waists before they can launch themselves at you.
“Mommy,” Wren cries from his father’s grasp and Baz bursts out into tears at the sight, reaching over Azriel’s shoulder for you.
“Az, let them go,” you scold lightly, but caress the bond, thankful for stopping them before another injury could happen.
“Boys, you need to be gentle with mommy, okay?” Az holds each of their arms, making sure that his order has been received by each son before slowly letting them go.
They’re both on your uninjured side, Baz tumbling into your arms. He climbs up onto the bed and you hold him close, letting him cry into the crook of your shoulder, reaching out for Wren with tears in your own eyes.
“Hi baby,” you whisper, voice thick.
“Mom,” he breaks, tears spilling as he climbs up next to Baz, letting you run your fingers through his hair.
You bite your lip, holding your boys as close as you can, before looking around the room at the rest of your children, your family.
Each one is looking at you with smiles, some pained, some relieved, some teary, and you know that if something had gone wrong, that your children would be in the best of hands.
Your teary gaze slides back to your mate. He hadn’t looked away from you while you were taking everyone in, seeming to know exactly where your mind had just been. But he doesn’t want to think about that right now, all he wants is to hold you and his children as close as he can, forever and always.
Cassian hands Knox off to Azriel as he rounds the bed to your injured side, taking the spot next to you to block your injury as he gestures to his brothers and their mates to bring forward the rest of your children.
Let us know if you need any help, Rhys speaks to Azriel and the shadowsinger nods, looking at you with the babes all curled in close, hugging each other tight.
He knows they won’t leave you now, but he doesn’t care because everyone is here together, in one piece.
One big family.

Is it ok if I request Stardew Valleys favorite adhd golden retriever Sam protecting y/n from some Dudes at the Saloon who make her feel uncomfortable (no matter if platonic or romantic) or just him teaching them how to play the guitar :)
A/N: oooh my first request on this account! Thank you for taking the time to request this from me:) i’ll be doing both requests so check back sometime to see if I did! I tried to do this as ambiguously as I could(gender neutral reader, can be read as romantic or platonic)
Tw: catcalling, harassment, cursing, threat of violence
Word count:1.3k
Laughter and shouts filled the Saloon as they usually did on Friday night’s. Your eyes raked over everyone’s form in amusement as you waited for Emily to return with your and Sam’s drinks. Pam was swaying in her seat as usual, chatting up some stranger who had wandered into Pelican Town the previous day. His face was still, a smile frozen on his lips as he listened to her flirt with him loudly, though no one else in the Saloon paid her any attention. His friends laughed behind him and hollered everytime Pam had said something that was slightly dirty. Rolling your eyes in amusement at the sight you sigh and watch someone else to pass the time.
“I am so sorry!” Emily looked slightly sweaty as she set the drinks down a little too harshly. You shrugged and took hold of them, gripping them tightly to counteract the spilled liquid making them slippery.
“No big deal.”
“Those guys over there,” she justs her chin in their direction, something close to a glimmer of annoyance in her eyes, “they’ve been keeping me busy all night.” It was the first time you’d seen her be anything close to upset.
“It’s cool…hey did they say anything about where they’re from, or why they’re here?”
“They came here from Zuzu City, something about a road trip…” she sighs and shakes her head as one of the strangers calls her over again. Raising your eyebrows you take the drinks from the bar and head over to the game room. From the looks of it, Sam had lost to Sebastian (again), and was now sitting sulking on one of the couches while Abigail replaced him in playing. Handing him his drink, you sit down next to him, sipping on yours, content with how your life had turned out.
“You did not!” Abigail exclaims, smacking the pool table while Sebastian shrugs, a smirk on his face, you weren’t really paying attention to what had happened, but already knew that he was winning.
“I don’t know why you challenged him, Abby,” you laughed out, “he beats all of us every time!”
“One of these days…”she frowns, lining up her next shot.
As soon as she goes to hit the ball, a loud yell startles all of you, the sound coming from a place that was way too close to your little bubble. Turning your head to spot who yelled, you’re taken aback by the sight of the guy who was talking to Pam earlier, having abandoned his group of friends in favor of bothering your group, leaning against the doorway to the game room. While it wasn’t illegal or not allowed, you felt annoyed that he had decided to come in and disrupt the vibes you were coasting on.
“Aw, fuck!” Abigail stomped her foot, after having missed the shot due to the guys’ disruption. The drunken man let out a low whistle, eyes raking over Abigail’s form. She frowned at him, and turned back to the game, ignoring his presence. Sebastian had already taken to continuing to play the game. Silently you decided to do the same, focusing your eyes on the pool table in front of you, uncomfortable.
“Say, girl, you got a man?” The man called out to Abigail who promptly turned to glare at him, she clutched the cue stick so tightly that her knuckles had turned white. For a second you thought she was going to swing at him with it.
“Say, man, do you wanna keep your balls?”
You snorted at her words, the man putting his hands up in mock surrender. “Okay, okay…what about you, sweet thang?” He turns to you
You stare at him in shock at how he turned so quickly from hitting on her to hitting on you, and while you did not have as quick of comebacks as Abigail, you still wanted to deter him from speaking to you again. “Same as she said,'' you jut your chin at Abigail and take a sip of your drink, “not interested”.
“Come on, you sure?” he moves closer to you, so in turn you scoot closer to Sam almost sitting on top of him. “Looks like your little boyfriend there wouldn’t treat you right…not like I could.” His drunken slurring made you cringe, and his attempt at chatting you up just seemed sad as he stumbled forward. Still, you weren’t one to be mean, you wouldn’t have gotten to where you are by being mean, and so you attempt to discourage him again, only to be ignored.
“They said they aren’t interested,” Sam’s voice makes you jolt, “so that means go away…y'know...fuck off.”
Surprised at his words, you turn in your seat to gawk at him. He wasn’t the type to curse. Sure he said ‘shit’ or ‘hell’ sometimes, but other things were rarely heard from him. “What? Did I hurt your feelings dude?” The man speaks again, now his attention now focused on Sam instead of you. “Say, we could even let you watch as I-”
Sam stands, and you follow behind him, not really wanting him to resort to violence, but at the same time wanting the man to get decked one good time. The man chuckles and looks over Sam’s shoulder to peer at you, “change your mind, doll?” you scoff and ignore him, focused on whatever moves Sam was going to make.
Sebastian and Abigail watched silently from the pool table, neither making any moves to either stop or help Sam, which only made you think that either he wasn’t going to do anything, or that they thought he wouldn’t need help in kicking this guy’s ass. Sam takes a deep breath and walks past the guy.
“See, he wasn’t going to do anythi-” the man is yanked backwards in the middle of speaking, and in shock you follow Sam who was now dragging the man out of the game room and across the saloon.
The drunken man struggled to regain his footing, knocking over stools as they passed them, yelling out protests and profanities the longer that Sam dragged him by his shirt. You stifled a laugh as you trailed behind them. The rest of the saloon died down, everyone’s eyes moving over to Sam and the guy, and by extension you as you three made your way up to the group of strangers who were still sitting and laughing by the bar.
Sam pats one of them on the shoulder, waiting until he turns around to drop the drunken man’s shirt, parking him next to the guy. “You lost this.”
Now you laugh, it’s choked out and out of surprise, and it gains the attention of the guy and his friends plus the rest of the town who were trying to not be nosy. You put your hands on your knees, and Sam leads you back to the game room, both of you plopping down on the sofa, your group returning to your activities. Turning to look at Sam, you snort again. He still looked very pissed, and was now gulping the rest of his drink. You can hear the group of guys loudly chastising their friend.
“You lost this?” you repeat back to him, amused and thankful for his help. He shrugs and puts his drink down, his face morphing from angry to embarrassed.
“I didn’t know what else to say!” he whines and leans against you.
“Honestly, I’m surprised Sam,” Sebastian starts, hitting a ball, “I thought you were going to kick that guy’s ass for a minute.” Both you and Abigail snort, causing Sam to move deeper into the couch, face now red.
For a moment you sit there, taking in the vibes and the air around you. Times like these were few and far in between, but God did it make you appreciate living in a small town like this one.
