sorry i haven't been able to pay attention during the last few tailstube shorts im too busy staring at cosmo on the shelf and having dramatic sepia-toned flashbacks where evanescence is playing in the bg. when is she coming home bring her to life and wake me up inside etc.
Cosmo Sheldrake really wrote a self-proclaimed "apocalyptic love song to the living world" using recordings of endangered birds and expected everyone to be normal about it
"Don't go walking/Sorrow's stalking/Why so silent today?/...Oh swift and swallow, where are you to be tomorrow?/Starling and sparrow/Find a hole or start to burrow." I am laying facedown on the floor.
If you think you don’t belong, you’re not worthy enough, think again. You’re made of elements like silver , platinum and gold. The whole cosmos is within us.
It's July! And these are my first three pickups for this month. I've never read the handmaids tale and only got halfway through the show... So maybe reading it will be better. All three of these were picked up from goodwill this morning. Right now I'm just buying books to distract from me having an apartment inspection on Wednesday and potentially getting evicted because of my roommates. I feel sick constantly right now.
Some soft pink (and a few mellow yellow) tones from my flowers.
When I bought my tall garden phlox 5(?) years ago I was just looking for something to add a little color to the iris beds once the irises were done. I did not expect to love them as much as I do. The pop of color is beautiful and they're super hardy once established. I have only had to water them once this summer. Otherwise they are tolerating this drought exceptionally well. (The white/pink pastel phlox I have been watering almost daily but only because I only planted them last year and I don't think they're quite established yet)
Me: And so one day, the moon finally met the sun and put the long-established ‘too distant to be together’ quandary to rest; proving once and for all that if you love someone enough, stories and stars can be rewritten
