Heyooo :D
Robin's anon back (ngjfnjff this is so funny to type I hope you don't mind 😭😭), could I request Robin with a male s/o who always take care of the crew ? (He's either like a big bro or a father for some of them) For example : He always makes sure Zoro sleeps in a comfortable position whenever he suddenly takes a nap after training, he always brings to Nami new inks, maps, pens..., candies for Chopper (just like Robin hehehehe), food for Luffy... but in process he kinda neglects himself because he prioritizes the crew above all.
Thank you again for your kindness and I wish you an amazing day/night. ❤️😊
OH HIII ROBIN’S ANON!! i don’t mind you addressing yourself as that at all it’s how i remember you:) 😭!
AWW male s/o sounds so sweet! of course i’ll do this request!!

-chopper
”ohhh! m/n! look! it’s my latest invention!! the only problem is..i’m missing a key piece…see here? it needs something to generate it! could you go back to the island and find something for me?? thanks a lot! i knew i could count on you!”

you ran to the library as soon as you could and flopped into one of the chairs
a hand touched your shoulder and you wanted to just completely melt away from how tired you were
and yet you were gonna have to help another person
nope!
just robin:)
i mean you didn’t mind helping but…today’s been a long day
robin sits next to you
you air your complaints and get a lot of much needed stress off your shoulders
she sprouts two hands from your back to massage your shoulders and it felt really good
she gives you advice to start saying ‘no’ a little more and that it’s okay to take some time for yourself
she scolds you only a bit when you do this but only because she cares
and especially because she loves you
💗
robin had a hand in the bathroom preparing you a hot bath while you vented to her
after you were done she told you about the shower
and boy it was a real steamy one
just what you needed
robin always knows just what to do when your exhausted
but would prefer if you’d simply solve the problem at hand
LOL
she lectures you about this and man does it drag on
oh well you’d much rather hear her soothing voice than overexert yourself
she recommends you things like meditation and reading
and maybe even to go to chopper about it
especially if things get physical like your back or arms hurt
zoros’ heavy ok?
spawns a bunch of arms to chop your back if that’s what you need
shes the best really
brings you drinks and honestly just caters to you until your feeling better
by then your ready for a hot meal and some sleep
which is exactly what happens thankfully
you two holds hands in your sleep and cuddle a little closer that night
SO SWEET 🥲
these were shorter than my norm
it’s ok bc quality over quantity right?? you can always request more i’m just sleepy rn 😋
also this was in a slightly different writing style than usual so i hope you like!! it’s not permanent tho

💛: What is a popular ship you just can't get behind, and why?
Ohhh man... I'm going to be murdered if I say "all of them" but. Well. I promise I'm not "different from the other girls" or something LMFAO I just typically can't get behind monogamous ships because they do not interest or intrigue me, usually? It takes some really compelling characters to pull it off in a way that will get me invested. And honestly, I REALLY hate in shipping fanfiction/etc where the shipped-characters-in-question are portrayed as feeling "more" for their partner (singular or plural) than the rest of the crew. I feel this way for One Piece and the strawhats specifically. Like, as soon as I see the "A missed their captain and their crew, but they realized that they missed B more" or "loved B more" I've clocked out. It's just fully not believable to me. Why does romantic always have to be more, instead of just different? This is separate from my bias as a polyamorous person, btw. I'm not fond of the idea that you HAVE to love your romantic partner MOST; Like if you're closer to your best friend than your partner then you've failed somehow?? Or like you're supposed to be less close to your friends once you have a partner?? That's insane to me. And SPECIFICALLY I think it doesn't fit these characters. If there's anyone on the crew that any of them feel "more" for than the others it's Luffy, and they ALL feel that way, and it doesn't interfere with their romantic relationships because that is silly. ...I realize this probably isn't the type of answer you were looking for, haha. For a simpler one: I don't really get the romantic chemistry behind zosan as a ship, unless they're in a polycule with other people. Which is weird, because enemies-to-lovers usually gets me! Also I don't get the romantic chemistry behind lawlu either.
💚: What does everyone else get wrong about your favorite character?
I have several favorite characters honestly, and I haven't been in the fandom long enough to know the most common opinions like that outside of some large-sweeping and very common ones. (So, it's hard for me to answer this question with Franky or Bon Clay.) So, I'll pick an example that involves two of my favorite characters (Usopp and Zoro) I feel very strongly about the platonic divorce arc (Water Seven), and I think a lot of people either don't really understand what Usopp did/was thinking, or don't really understand what Zoro did/was thinking, or both. Which sucks. "Get wrong" is a loaded term, since everyone's entitled to their own opinion/interpretation, ofc, but... I stand FIRM in my belief that if Zoro had not held the line like that, Usopp would not have been able to come back to the crew, and the crew wouldn't have survived it if he came back anyway. Zoro enforced that boundary BECAUSE he loved everyone involved, not because he "hated usopp's cowardice" or whatever the fuck. Usopp decided to leave, and Zoro held him to his word, and there is a lot of respect in that. And Usopp DID fuck up! Bad! He needed to apologize, and the Usopp fans out there who think "Usopp did nothing wrong/shouldn't have needed to apologize" need to unpack why they think so. This isn't to say Zoro and the others did everything right, either. EVERYONE fucked up there, but Usopp fucked up the most! Usopp stans I know there are few of us and we're used to him getting shit on by the fandom, but we need to accept that he really was at fault. And it's good to have a character in fiction who stumbles for understandable reasons, then pushes too far, and then is able to fix what they'd done and mend their relationships. That is a beautiful and important thing to have. (If anything, I think Usopp's apology should have been a little better, but that's just me.)
💙: Which character is not as hot as everyone else seems to think?
I could be here all day. :') I know anything is possible and different strokes for different folks, but I cannot believe THAT MANY people find Sanji and Law THAT attractive. Sanji's popularity baffled me more than law, but still. I know tattoos are hot but come on. Lets be serious. It's just us here I won't be mad tell me the truth
💜: Which character is way hotter than everyone else seems to think?
FOXY. SILVER FOX FOXY. IM IN LOVE WITH HIM DO YOU PEOPLE HEAR ME. SAYING IT LOUDER FOR THE PPL IN THE BACK, HE IS THE LOVE OF MY LIFE!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
For my other controversial picks I also think Franky, Jinbe, Mont Blanc, Brook, Big Mom, Blackbeard, Magelllan, World from that one movie, and Borsalino are attractive but those aren't as controversial -- I've seen a couple other people be as open about them -- but no one appreciates my husband. Cowards!!

heyy duda!!!i hope you're doing good and remember to take care of yourself and take a break when needed😤💕💕you're one of my favorite writers here and I want to make sure you're ok(I HOPE TO NOT SOUND CREEPY OMG)
I loved all the teen!reader headcanons u made and bless those anons for requesting them,I wanted to ask u if u could write for the strawhats and/or laws crew(I ALWAYS FORGET WHATS THE CREW NAME SRY)with a teen!reader who's really really smart not only book smart but also life smart if u know what I mean.
Take ur time and have a nice day<3.
hesjwhwjhwjwjwj you are so kind anonymous!!!
I relapsed today, but now I'm better, especially with your ask, so thanks! and I hope to rest only this end of the year, for now I want to write a lot, so it will have to put up with me.
Ok, i'm not going to lie, i got a little confused about life smart, because for me it has all kinds of intelligence, so i made a reader that kind of knows everything lol.
And I chose strawhats because I think I don't know all of the heart pirates crew so well.
Anyway, I hope you like it🌷💗
⚠️let me know if something is spelled wrong⚠️
♡︎Strawhats with a teen! Reader who's really smart♡︎
Tumblr media
Everyone is very surprised that someone so young is so smart, it seems like you've lived a long time to know all this.
For sure you and Robin will be the source of Luffy and Chopper's answers.
Franky will be super interested when he finds out you know how to fix basic things, like changing a light bulb or a shower.
Luffy, Chopper and Usopp will always keep an eye out to see when you do a nice and helpful (actually even useless things) life hacks.
Having philosophical conversations with Robin, Brook and Jinbe strikes me as interesting.
Maybe Nami will let you help her with the crew's money, just Maybe.
You always go with Sanji to buy food because you know how to choose what's good, even if you don't cook.
Zoro is very surprised that you know about swords, at your age he know less.
Often they even forget that you are a teenager, but when they remember they try their best to make you enjoy this age.

usopp and nami headcannons because i’m obsessed with them:
pre-timeskip usopp would be too scared to explore a new island by himself and he tags along with nami when she goes shopping
he’s not interested in the slightest but it beats following luffy into whatever danger he inevitably gets himself into
nami isn’t shy about dumping her bags on usopp
“if you’re going to follow me around all day you might as well be useful and carry my things.”
they’re in the fourth store when usopp casually remarks that a blue floral scarf would work with one of the outfits she was trying on
and that’s how nami figures out that usopp has an eye for fashion
he still carries her bags for her after the timeskip even though she insists she can carry them herself.
“still scared of exploring alone?” she teases and usopp just looks at her and he’s like, “no i just want to spend time with you.”
nami walks ahead of him after he says that but usopp can tell she’s secretly flattered
usopp was the one that helped nami get over her fear of guns
(because you can’t tell me that nami is perfectly fine with being around them after what happened to her mother)
this is before he makes her weapon and she insists on doing whatever she can so she won’t be a burden to the crew
usopp decides to teach her how to shoot one day and they spend the day practicing.
he comes behind her and shows her how to fix her stance and hold the gun properly
usopp calmly talks her through the steps and can’t help but give little touches on her shoulder because he notices she’s shaking
“nami please keep your eyes open when you pull the trigger i’m begging you--”
“I know what i’m doing, usopp!”
it takes a while but eventually nami becomes more comfortable with holding and firing guns
usopp shares his hair care products with nami and nami shares her skin products with him.
he helps her trim and take care of her tangerine trees
they’re both secretly good at chess
robin tells the most fucked up scary stories to the crew because she likes to watch them squirm.
by the end of it everyone is completely silent and she always asks for feedback
robin, completely blank-faced: so how was it, usopp? was it scary?
usopp, sweating and holding nami’s hand in a vice grip: no
nami doesn’t know her own strength
one time she accidentally backhands usopp so hard that it made him dizzy and he had to lie down for damn near the rest of the day
whenever he does push-ups he insists that nami sit on his back
this is primarily inspired because he saw zoro doing it and usopp was certain he could do the same
she carefully sits on his back and usopp folds like a deck of cards
usopp is trying so hard to lift her up while zoro laughs at him in the background
nami: this is so embarrassing?? what’s wrong with you
usopp: this is a lot harder than it looks okay
then nami gets offended
nami: are you saying i’m heavy!!
usopp: I LITERALLY NEVER SAID THAT?? NO ONE SAID THAT???
sanji overhears and now he’s in it too
sanji, picking nami up bridal style and setting her down on the deck: nami please ignore this neanderthal and have a drink while i kick the shit out of usopp
post timeskip usopp can lift nami up and heft her over his shoulder with no problem.
whenever the two of them go exploring in the dark they always hold hands
usopp braids nami’s hair and threads a ribbon through it sometimes
he mentions that he used to do it for kaya whenever she was bedridden and couldn’t fix her hair
best dancers in the crew aside from robin and brook
nami has a very soft singing voice because she hates singing in front of people and she isn’t very good at it
she gets super flustered whenever someone draws attention to her
the strawhats all like to sing together and usopp intentionally sings really loudly and off key because it makes nami laugh
usopp will pretend to be her boyfriend whenever nami goes drinking despite nami being able to handle herself
one time some drunk asshole keeps hitting on nami and isn’t taking a hint so usopp ends up getting into a bar fight with him
usopp manages to get in one good punch before he gets his ass kicked and nami has to come rescue him
nami, dragging usopp’s limp body out of the bar: i thought you were supposed to be the one protecting me??
years later the same exact scenario happens and usopp knocks a guy out with only two punches
nami swears she saw the poor guy’s teeth fly out of his mouth
whenever she’s feeling generous she’ll cut her dessert in half and gives usopp the bigger piece
usopp stitches flowers onto her jean pants and skirts
nami always has extra hair ties on her so robin and usopp can tie their hair back
usopp thinks that nami’s hair looks best in pigtails
she’ll never openly admit it, but nami thinks usopp looks really cute in glasses
usopp has pages in his sketchbook dedicated to sketches of the crew and nami always tries to look at it whenever he isn’t around
so he purposely draws terrible stick figures of her and the look on her face when she sees them is priceless
nami: why did you give me three heads???
usopp, prepared for death: those are your boobs
she beats him with his sketchbook but can’t help laughing
the most affectionate drunks you’ll ever see
nami can hold her own no problem but usopp has no filter
he’ll ramble on about how pretty she is and practically clings to her side
they have a brief encounter with a sick stray cat and it takes both of them thirty seconds to decide on briefly adopting it
with chopper’s help they manage to nurse it back to health
they decide to name it ravioli purely because they couldn’t think of anything better
nami always secretly thinks that animals look cute in little sweaters and they get into a fight on what sweater looks best on their new son
usopp: i’m not putting ravioli in a polka dot sweater when he clearly looks best in stripes?? are you insane?
nami: polka dots bring out his eyes moron i know what i’m talking about
usopp insists that ravioli has his own chair in the dining room and sanji only goes along with it because of nami
sanji places ravioli in zoro’s seat and he’s like ‘okay so where am i going to sit?’ and sanji makes him sit on the floor
nami: i’ve only had ravioli for a day and a half but if anything happened to him i would kill everyone in this room and then myself.
they don’t know that it’s a big cat until it starts growing  and chopper points it out
usopp: why didn’t you tell us that before we took ravioli in!!
chopper: how did you NOT know that he wasn’t a regular cat and that’s not his name!!
eventually nami decides that it’s time to give ravioli away so he can live in his natural habitat
usopp: i can’t believe you’re breaking this family apart so easily
nami: oh so you’re gonna do this now?? right now?? in front of the kid???
It’s a sad day when ravioli leaves but they both feel better knowing he’s where he belongs
usopp gives the best hugs out of anyone in the crew and always makes sure to hug nami extra tight

Hellooo!!
I read all your soulmate AUs and they are SO well writen! I was wondering if I could request the same soulmate body swap AU with zoro instead?
Absolutely love your writing and thanks in advance😚😚
Hello! i'm sorry i took so long! but here it is and thank you so so much! ❤
That night, the Strawhats were at a bar celebrating Zoro’s 23th birthday. Sanji didn’t want to make cake for him, but Nami asked him very nicely. Brook and Franky sang him songs, and Usopp made him a present. The young man was having fun, surrounded by the people he loved, and even the cook wasn’t being annoying. He was feeling thankful.
— Maybe you’re going to meet your soulmate this year. — Robin smiled.
— Soulmate? — the green haired man raised an eyebrow, not knowing what she was talking about. He was very dense about things like that. — What do you mean?
— When the youngest soulmate turns 23, they switch bodies. And the only way to fix it and switch back is kissing. Not simply kissing, but kissing after falling in love. — she giggled. — Isn’t it fun?
— No! I would hate to be in someone else’s body for who knows how long. And if I don’t fall in love, I’ll never go back to my body.
— Well, mosshead, I don’t think you falling in love would be the problem. — Sanji interrupted the chat. — But someone falling in love with you is impossible.
Even though it was Zoro’s birthday, the two of them couldn’t stay without fighting for 24 hours anyway. Meanwhile, you were having a sleepover at your house with a couple of your best friends. You were drinking some wine, talking about your love life, and hearing your friend’s story about when she met her soulmate. The story about when they met, when they kissed and switched back. It sounded so magical, you couldn’t wait to meet yours.
The next morning, you woke up and stretched before opening your eyes. The house was noisy, more than the usual, and the place smelled so good, like someone was making food. Which was weird since your friends never really made breakfast after a sleepover.
Opening your eyes, you looked around and noticed this wasn’t your room, and the people sleeping there definitely weren’t your friends. For some reason, you felt like you couldn’t see well. Also, the chest with scars and the calloused hands weren’t yours. The portholes made you realize it was a ship. Looking at the people sleeping, they didn’t look like marines, nor had any uniforms in sight. So your soulmate was a pirate! Which was very exciting.
All you could feel was genuine happiness when you realized it your soulmate! You finally switched bodies with him. After years imagining how it’d be and how they looked like, it finally happened.
You got up trying not to wake the others, and went to try to find a mirror as soon as possible, wanting to see every detail of this man. You already knew he had strong arms and a toned chest, but you wanted to see his face.
While heading to the bathroom, you saw a blonde man. Since he was apparently a crewmate, you smiled and greeted him.
— Good morning. — you said, walking trying to find a bathroom before the cook could even answer. Sanji was speechless by Zoro being suddenly polite and waking up earlier than everyone else, that he didn’t even have an answer on the tip of his tongue like he usually does.
You finally found a mirror in the large bathroom. The place was beautiful, not the way you expected a pirate ship to look like.
The reflection showed a green haired man, tanned skin, wearing three earrings on his left ear, the man also had a scar over his left eye, which was closed. He looked intimidating in a good way, if that makes any sense. Damn, that man was good looking.
You traced the scars on his chest slowly, wondering how he got it. You only imagined the stories he could tell you after switching back.
— Marimo, are you going to be there forever? — a knock on the door made you jump. — This bathroom isn’t only yours.
You opened the door and saw the same man from earlier. Giving him an apologetic smile, you made your way out of the room.
— I’m so sorry, I was already leaving.
A few minutes later, everyone started to wake up. During breakfast, you tried to keep as quiet as possible, sweating whenever the cook stared at you as if something suspicious was going on. Should you tell him about what was happening?
— Hey, Zoro, why aren’t you drinking your sake yet? — a boy with a long nose asked you, tilting his head to the side.
— Isn’t it too early to drink that? — you raised an eyebrow. Did your soulmate really drink that early in the morning?
When you asked that, everyone went silent, except the boy with the strawhat, who kept eating everything from his plate and from other plates too. Their eyes were wide, and mouth hanged open.
— Zoro, are you feeling sick? — a cute raccoon asked you. When you saw him talking for the first time, your heart stopped, but everyone on this ship acted as if it was natural. — You usually don’t refuse to drink.
— I’m okay, but thank you. — you smiled, patting the animal’s head.
While finishing your meal, you heard the crew whispering talking to each other while staring at you. It felt awkward, but you tried to act as normal as possible.
— I didn’t think Zoro would find his soulmate so soon. — Robin said. — That was fast. What’s your name? — she asked, looking at you.
— I’m… (Y/N). I’m from a small island, hopefully not far from here. I’m sorry I didn’t say anything… — you bit your lip. — I was afraid of how people would reacted when I told them the truth, so I tried to act… As if I was him, but I have no idea of how he acts.
— You refused beer and were polite with Sanji. You started wrong. — the orange haired girl giggled. — Don’t worry, let’s find your island.
When you told him about where you lived, you realized it’d take around two days to arrive. It was frustrating, but you spent a lifetime waiting, two days are nothing compared to that. You took this time to get to know the crew better, while everyone kept telling you stories about Zoro.
He was a strong swordsman, who always got lost and liked to drink sake. He took many naps and spent the rest of the time practicing. Everyone said nice things about the man, except Sanji. Apparently they fought a lot.
And then the day was finally there, and you could see your town from far. The crew decided to go with you trying to find Zoro, since he probably went out and got lost. You gave a few descriptions about your appearance so they’d know who they’d be looking for.
Walking in front of a forest, you spotted your figure walking. It was your soulmate, who was lost. He was cussing and walking in circles.
— Hey! — you said, smiling and waving, getting his attention. — Found you!
— Ah, I guess you’re my soulmate. — he walked towards you. — I was taking a walk but… This forest wasn’t here before, I don’t know what happened.
You couldn’t help laughing, he wasn’t joking though. He really believed the trees popped out of nowhere like magic, and that’s why he couldn’t find his way back. The two of you went silent, a comfortable silent, just looking at each other.
— My friend explained about soulmates and all… So we can… Try to switch back now, if you want. — he looked away, trying to hide the fact he was extremely flustered.
— Yes, we can. — you bit your lip, cheeks feeling warmer. — I guess we’re alone here, so it’s a good time now.
You closed your eyes and waited for him to make a move. Zoro didn’t have much experience with this, but he wanted to impress you anyway. So his hands gently held your face, while he pulled you into a kiss. A gentle peck that became a little sloppy kiss, you tried to make him follow your movements. He took the hint and finally it felt like your lips were perfectly for each other.
Opening your eyes, you saw your soulmate. His half lidded eyes, and a slight smile on his lips. He looked so good, and cute at the same time. Without any warning, you claimed his lips one more time. The man was caught off guard.
While walking around trying to find the others, you two started to actually talk to know each other.
— Hey, Zoro... — you said, getting his attention. — When did you fall for me?
— Well, I'm not the best with this kind of stuff, but when I saw the swords in your room, I knew the universe brought me the right soulmate.

The monster trio Destroying their s/o Nest !
{The idea of the trio destroying their omega's nest was really funny to begin with}
Warning: None, well there is slightly little bit if bad language
Monkey D.Luffy 🍖🍖🍖
🍖Luffy didn't know what happened
🍖One minute he was care freely running around than the next he tripped landing on a pile of clothes blankets and stuff animals .ect
🍖In all honesty he didn't think much of it, I mean it just clothes...
🍖But No!
🍖This dumb meat brain picks it up stuffing the items into whatever drawer or closet he could find, thinking he did a good "clean up" duty.
🍖And just runs off to continue playing with Usopp and Chopper.
🍖Later on when you return with Sanji from the local market that the Sunny is currently dock at.
🍖"Thanks for the help, (Y/n)." Sanji said as he and placed down the groceries in the kitchen.
🍖"No prop." You smiled leaving the cook to his work, the blond gleefully started cooking for dinner knowing he has a lot to do.
🍖With Luffy on the crew he won't just be feeding one person more like an army in fact.
🍖(Y/n) left as they walked back on deck feeling the warm air and relaxing atmosphere around them it was all quite but all good things must come to an end.
🍖"Hey, (Y/n) check out this beetle it's as big as my hand look look!" (Y/n) turned seeing their captain, (Y/n)'s alpha their bonded mate.
🍖Luffy happily ran to his omega wanting to show them the bug which they flinch at, (Y/n) despised insects just as much as Nami and Sanji does so naturally they back up a little away from their lovingly childish alpha
🍖"No thanks Luffy but I'm going to take a nap."
🍖"Yeah! Than I'll take one with you." Luffy jumped around excited to spend time with his s/o.
🍖Placing the bug down rush after his omega following them down to a specific room below deck.
🍖When (Y/n) open the door they seemed a little confused thinking they must have walked into the wrong room.
🍖No this is the right room
🍖What happened ? It's all gone!!!
🍖An omega's Nest usually a place where an omega can be comfortable, whether if they are in heat or just having a bad day.
🍖But where's (Y/n) nest?
🍖"Luffy where i-is my n-nest?" (Y/n) questioned pointing at the empty room infront of them tears building up into their eyes body trembling as they point to the "missing nest" looking over their shoulder at Luffy who seemed confused.
🍖The alpha could scent that their omega is in distress and anger.
🍖"Nest? Huh?... All that was in there was a blankets and pillows what nest?"
🍖"Luffy what happened to my nest?" At this point Luffy's s/o was in full blown tears sobbing and whimpering.
🍖"(Y/n) I don't know what you're saying? All I did was clean up you know being grown up like you said." Luffy laughed being clueless like always.
🍖"Luffy you idiot!" (Y/n) yelled slamming the door in Luffy's face.
🍖Don't worry he didn't stay clueless forever, Nami saw the he thing go down.
🍖Gave him a hell of a beating.
🍖Afterwards explains to him what he did wrong in the most simplest way possible to screw it through his thick head.
🍖(Y/n) with a tears stain face and a sad look quietly took out blankets and pillows where every they could find some scenting a few stuff animals, working on repairing thier nest little whimpers leaving thier lips everytime the fortress flops apart.
🍖Soft knocks traveled from the door catching (Y/n) attention.
🍖"hey~" Luffy's head peaks through a purr leaving his mouth as he tries to lighten the situation and calming his omega.
🍖"What?" (Y/n) says wanting to sound mean but it came off more of a sob.
🍖"Sorry. My omega." Luffy placed his strawhat onto (Y/n) head it was filled with his scent calming down the sad omega, the hat (Y/n) wore many times before Luffy wouldn't easily let others wear it, other than those who he trusts with all his heart.
🍖"I'll help you." Luffy sat down on his knees next to (Y/n) taking up a few pillows into his arrms
🍖"Thank, you Alpha." (Y/n) wrapped their arms around Luffy's neck taking in a long breath of his scent.
🍖"Can, can you also scent a few things, please."
🍖"Yeah!"😃
🍖"And I'll start with you!"😚
🍖"W-what?!"😳
Roronoa Zoro ⚔⚔⚔
⚔Yes Zoro knows what nesting is
⚔The only way he knew was when his s/o direactly came up to him and told him.
⚔He didn't mind he secretly thought it was cute, rare to see such a adorable omega, his omega crawled into their nest looking all comfy and happy.
⚔But over time he started missing clothes, he just shrugged it off, not really caring cause he knows you have been sneaking some of his stuff into your nest.
⚔Like every omega they want their alpha's scent near them for comfort emotional times or during heat.
⚔He couldn't care less
⚔but he'd still scent anything you ask, he would even do it when you don't ask.
⚔But there's one thing (Y/n) wanted more than any piece of Zoro's clothes in their nest
⚔Zoro's haramaki.
⚔It was hard for them too just go up and ask him for it, he'd say no cause he usually carrying his swords with it.
⚔So all they could do was steal it when the marimo was in the shower.
⚔It was successful!
⚔The green haired swordsman, Alpha didn't noticed it was missing till he tried placing his swords in thier place but instead dropped to the ground though to the missing Haramaki that was not around his hips.
⚔At first he thought he must have misplaced it.
⚔He even ended up looking in the laundry room but no luck.
⚔Until his omega that means the whole world to him came to his mind, you must have seen it right?
⚔At first you denied it, "No. I haven't? Last I saw it you were wearing it." (Y/n) try their best to keep Zoro's off their tail and laying to your alpha feels like your betraying them.
⚔Somehow he ended up looking in your nest, he felt bad about invading your privacy but he has to have his Haramaki back he just gotta.
⚔But it was also weird that (Y/n) stop asking for stuff to be scent or being scented themselves.
⚔Zoro dig through the tent like nest pulling out blankets and throwing pillows out.
⚔Found It! His precious Haramaki.
⚔"Why would (Y/n) lay?" Zoro mumble to himself putting the Piece of clothes back on.
⚔"No! Stop destroying my nest!" A voice yelled at the alpha from behind as he was tackled to the ground.
⚔"Why did you had to find it this soon, I was going to give it back later." (Y/n) pouted giving Zoro puppy eyes tugging at the material around his hips.
⚔"So you took it, you know it's not good lay to you alpha, little omega~" Zoro smirked in quick movement pinning his omega down beneath him sitting in between their legs.
⚔"Bad Boy/Girl~ but why my Haramaki?" Zoro purred sending shivers down your spine the omega in you turned on by your dominant alpha, just hovering over you.
⚔"I wanted something... you use everyday."
⚔"mmmh~"
⚔"Well I'm going to have to punish you, I skipped too many training and napping sessions looking for this."
⚔"Wait, alpha-" (Y/n) was shut up before they could finish as the alpha above took them right there and then...
⚔Next thing you took was his bandana😏
Sanji Vinsmoke 🚬🚬🚬
🚬Sanji loves your nest, his in there everytime when you allowed it made him feel so special. Because he is. He is your alpha mate duh. especially when you have your heat😏
🚬Butttttttt now his currently in a huge crisis.
🚬how did it happen... well...
🚬A while ago he finished making some delicious tropical drinks for the ladies and yours is made the best of the best.
🚬He made it exactly to your liking with every thought of you in mind, it made his alpha very pleasing to serve you.
🚬Despite what genders his omega is or how they met, he'd be on his hands and knees giving you all he has.
🚬He happily bouncing into the room where his omega's nest was built.
🚬"Look what daddy brought you my pup~" Sanji sang kneeling down to the nest opening the cover looking in the nest like tent.
🚬His smile dropped when his s/o was nowhere to be seen, thinking you must have left for the bathroom or something?
🚬"Oh well."
🚬Suddenly the ship rocked, a wave or one of Luffy's stupid doings.
🚬.... That was the least of his worries...
🚬The drink slipped from the tray spilling into (Y/n) nest!!!!
🚬😱!!!!!!!!!!!😱
🚬This was the end of him.
🚬That bring us to how he ended up in this situation to begin with.
🚬"No no no no no no !!!" Sanji panic pulling out the wet blankets and pillows with some of his shirts or pants.
🚬You just recently gave him free access at anytime to be in your nest, after this your not going to near your nest in his life time again
🚬He broke your trusts
🚬He shattered his nesting fantasies
🚬Its all down the drain
🚬is what he currently felt like while pulling all the wet stuff out.
🚬At some point the blanket he was pulling got stuck so he pulled harder bringing down the hole nest came crashing down.
🚬Now his fucked.
🚬Sinking to his weak knees as he tears drip from his eyes he got to an ugly sobbing, and his scent change to a gloomy disgusting scent one that he doubt you would want to be scented in.
🚬And worst of all fear of you declining a bond between the two of you.
🚬...
🚬(Y/n) opened the door immediately catching the sight of their alpha on the floor kneeling infront of the door his forehead though the floor boards.
🚬"Daddy, what happened?" You looked at your destroyed nest behind him and his scent made you hold you nose shutting it tightly for the first time, glance back down at the blonde, worried and confused.
🚬"Icameintogiveyoudrinkthanshipmovelostbalancedroppeddrinkonnesttridetockeanbutmadeitworstpleasedontleavemeilldoanything!!!!!!"
🚬"Huh?" (Y/n) titled their head to the side not getting anything he said, kneeling down on front of him, "Its okay, I can just fix the nest stop crying, is okay alpha." (Y/n) purred letting off a relaxing soft and sweet scent as he cooled him down his nerves stopped sky rocketing.
🚬Rubbing his back helped and your soft caring loving words lighten his atmosphere and his hopes.
🚬"Pup~"
🚬"Yes, daddy?~"
🚬"Sorry."
🚬"it's okay I'd never hate you for something that wasn't your fault, is fine your honest with me and tried to make it all better."
🚬"My pup~" Sanji yelled his mood completely turned squeezing the daylights out of his s/o
🚬"But you not allow in my nest for the next 2 weeks."
🚬*Sanji Instantly cried again*😭😭😭

Can I please request platonic straw hats x female teen reader, more specifically with nami & robin, like they would think that she doesn’t like them because she requested to have her own small room and doesn’t really talk to them & is always glued to her books . But she’s just Quiet & keeps to her self. Fluffy ending please & thank you 😊. ( sorry for the long request😅)
The Straw Hats With A Teen! Shipmate Who Keeps To Herself
Tumblr media
a/n : hey! Sorry if this is a bit short but I hope you enjoy!! Thanks for requesting! :)
SO SORRY THIS TOOK SO LONG 😭
Summary : the straw hats with a shipmate who’s a teenager and tends to keep to herself, causing them to believe she doesn’t like them.
-
“She’s eating alone again..”
Seeing you walk off into your room, with a tray of Sanji’s food in your hands, through the small window of the kitchen door made the crew sigh.
“We can’t force her to eat with us though, it’s her own decision.” Usopp points out, arms crossing as he ate a piece of meat.
Nami only frowns at Usopp and continues to stare over at the doorway, wondering if you had a problem.
She couldn’t even remember if there was ever a time where you actually sat down WITH the crew to eat, since the day you first joined.
Did you hate them? Then why join? Or were you just that introverted, that you even had asked to have your own room?
Since you were a girl and younger than most of them, the crew agreed to your request but they never thought it’d create a giant wall between you and the others.
In fact, you were so isolated from them since you never did anything with the crew, except maybe fight with them during battles.
For example, you would read, eat, draw, sleep and relax in your room, away from the others. The door was often locked so the others had to knock on the door to check up on you, but even then, they weren’t always let inside.
Robin closes her eyes and thinks back to herself. If she has to admit, you reminded her a bit of her past self. Before she joined the crew, she was always reserved and kept to herself, only occasionally speaking with others.
But was your reason the same as hers back then?
“Maybe she’s just being a normal girl teenager, doing teen things. They are often quiet and keep to themselves right?” Franky suggests, chomping down at his burger with his mini hand.
“Not all teenagers are like that.” Nami scoffs, rolling her eyes as she poked at her food with a fork. A pout could be seen on her lips.
“...but why does she always leave? Do you think she doesn’t like us?” Chopper frowns sadly, eyes just glossing over his plate without touching it.
The group only sat in silence. But everyone had mixed feelings about you.
-
Luffy was concerned and a bit confused by you. He didn’t understand why you stranded off from the group and often did try to talk to you, but he figured it was a girl thing. Maybe you didn’t like the boys?
Zoro was indifferent about it, because as long as you at least fought with the group and was loyal to Luffy, he didn’t mind that you often spend time alone. Hell, he can kinda understand the need to get away from the group for a bit.
Sanji was pretty saddened about it, he hates to not see your cute but rare smiles at times, but he at least has a sense that you enjoy his food since you come back with the tray empty, so he’s glad about that in the very least.
Usopp is also a bit confused and wishes you spend more time with the crew and bond with them, but he respects your decision if you want to be alone. He just wants to be able to get to know you.
Nami is pretty upset, because now that there’s another girl to gossip with, spend time with and bond with through all these chaotic boys, she’s sad that you don’t seem to want to be around any of them and just keep to yourself. Did you really dislike them that much? Did they do something?
Chopper finds it saddening because it seems like you don’t like them. You don’t want to spend time with the crew at all and it’s sad for him because you seem really kind and sweet and he wants to know you more! And if you’re ever sick, he might not be able to help you since you’re in your room a lot.
Franky doesn’t quite get it either. You joined the crew but you don’t even hang out with them, even if it’s to do stupid things? Not even to just do whatever you want on your own, but in the presence of the crew?
Robin is secretly disappointed. She had hoped she could be able to spend time with another female around and perhaps teach you some things since you seem to share her love of books. But she’s understanding in the very least.
Brook both understands and feels indifferent. He can’t force you to spend time with the crew but he does hope to see you warm up and spend some time with the group one day.
-
“It can’t be helped.”
Hearing Robin, the crew all watch as she stood up, finished with her sandwich and tea and make her way over to the door with the gentle smile on her face.
“I’ll go check on her. Maybe it’s time we asked if everything’s alright.” She suggests and the others widen their eyes a bit.
“You’re right. I’ll go with you.” Nami smiles determinely, standing up from her seat and went over to the door as well, standing beside Robin.
“Yohohoho~ good luck!” Brook calls out just before the girls closed the door and walked out.
-
Nami and Robin shared a glance before nodding in unison and Nami knocks against the wooden door.
You were so invested in your book while eating, you didn’t hear the knock at first, until Nami’s voice was followed after.
“[Name]? It’s Nami and Robin. Can we come in?”
Tilting your head at their request, you glance down at your tray of [ Favorite Food ] that Sanji prepared especially for you, and then moved it aside onto your desk.
Closing your book and setting it on the bed in front of you, you stood up and walk over to the door, peeking your head out when you opened it just a crack.
“..What is it?” Your voice was so soft and quiet, they almost didn’t hear you.
Robin simply smiles gently and hums. “Did you finish eating?” She questions and you shake your head. “No.”
Nami smiles awkwardly before clearing her throat. “Actually, we just wanted to talk. Is it okay if we come in?” She says, her hand slowly making it onto the door and you stare at her a bit.
It was just the two of them, but you were hoping to just relax and eat in peace.
Though, knowing Nami, she wasn’t one to give up and you weren’t going to try to argue with her.
So sighing lightly, you pull open the door wide and allowed them entrance, closing it behind them when they came and locked it, as usual.
Walking past them, you went over to the bed and sat down, picking up your book and grab the tray of food onto your lap to finish eating, ignoring their stares that lingered on your form.
“Whatcha reading?”
Glancing at Nami’s bright smile as she made herself comfortable on the edge of your bed, Robin sitting on the other side.
Shifting a bit and repositioning yourself against your headboard and in center to keep a distance from the two, you turn down to the book.
“It’s a novel.. called Heaven’s Official Blessings.”
You answer quietly, turning the page in your novel and then used your hand to pick up a piece of your food.
“That’s the one about the God and the Demon lord, right?” Robin hums and you nod in response. “I haven’t read it myself, but I heard good reviews of it. What’s your opinion on it?”
You shrug a bit. “I don’t know. I didn’t finish.” You answer, motioning to the page you were on which was a little less than halfway.
Robin chuckles and nods. “Fair point.”
“Well, what’s it about?” Nami speaks again, trying to continue the conversation but you just chew on your food and held out the book for her to look at.
Nami blinks a bit before seeing the summary of the novel in the front and shakes her head. “I want to hear you read it.”
Furrowing your brows, you only swallow your food and frown. “Why?” You didn’t prefer talking and you didn’t understand why when she could easily just read the synopsis.
Nami giggles sheepishly before shrugging. “I just wanna hear your voice some more.”
You gave her a weird, skeptical look as you move the now empty try back onto the desk and bookmark the page you were on before closing it in silence.
The room was quiet, Robin’s eyes observing you while Nami’s roamed the room.
“Say... do you hate us, [Name]?”
“..huh?”
Turning serious, Nami turns away and stares around the room a bit more, Robin’s smile slowly fading as her lips turn to a firm line.
“You asked to have your own room.. you never eat nor spend any time with us. Is there a reason for your separation from us? Have we done you a wrong? If so, please tell us so we can fix it.”
Lips parting in shock at their question, your eyes widening along, you just stare at them. You hadn’t even realized you were so.. away from them. You were just doing what you normally do even back in your island, it was just habit.
“[Name]?”
Blinking, you quickly shake your head before calming down a bit, taking a soft breath. “I-I don’t hate you.. You guys didn’t do anything wrong.”
“Then why are you avoiding us?” Nami asks with a sigh, running a hand through her orange locks of hair and brushed it with her fingers.
“..I didn’t realize I was.. I was just enjoying time alone.” You admit honestly, eyes trained on the novel in your hands. “I figured I just read in peace until it was time for Luffy’s new adventure or something.”
“Uh.. besides, I.. I don’t really like hanging out in big groups or anything like that. I’m not very social so I’m not good in that stuff.” You add, rubbing your arm before rubbing the back of your neck awkwardly.
Nami and Robin stare at you, clearly surprised at your answer as they slowly exchanged glances, just seconds before a snort being heard.
Nami then busts out into light laughter, hands clutching her stomach while one went to wipe tears forming. Robin herself was expressing a few amused and relieved giggles, covering them with her hand a bit.
“Is that really all it is?”
“I guess we were worried for nothing.”
The two women smile brightly at you as Nami goes over and hugs you tightly.
“All of us were worried you hated us or something but now we understand! You’re just shy!” Nami grins, nearly asphyxiating you in her chest as you struggle to pull away from her.
“I must say, I am relieved to hear that isn’t the case though. If you’re just someone who prefers to keep to yourself, it’s amazing you somehow managed to continue to stay on this ship.” Robin lightly jokes as you finally pull away from the navigator and inhaled deeply.
“Come on, you. We’re going to spend time with the crew and each other, so you will open more and we can get to know you. Okay?”
Already pulling your hand, you felt yourself get forced up off the bed before you could even protest or reach for your book.
“W-wait, but-“
“No buts!” She turns back to give her signature grin to you. “Unless you wanna pay me to let you back to your room alone, you are now going to spend the rest of the day with us!”
Robin smiles, seeing you being dragged off by their navigator and despite you looking helpless and even a little lost,
She could see the faint ghost of a defeated smile forming on your lips.
Whether it was because you were just in disbelief and accepted your fate, or because you truly did want to spend some time with the crew at some point one day,
Robin was just glad to be able to see you smiling and getting to spend time with the group.
Maybe this will let you be more comfortable and spend time around then even more in the future.
Grabbing your tray from earlier, Robin began to leave the room and closed the door behind her, a soft smile present as she hears the loud commotion from the kitchen.
“Finally a family.”

When you Proposed First...
Summary: You and your boyfriend have been together for a really long time. You couldn’t handle just being “Boyfriend and Girlfriend” anymore. So, you took matters into your own hands...And Proposed first!
Warning(s): Fluff, spoilers for Sanji’s past
A/N: Had a thought of how Sanji would react to me proposing to him and giggled lol.
Tumblr media
Luffy isn’t one for getting the Hint for specific moods in the air. He’s pretty dense when it comes to stuff like that. So, despite being alone together on this very romantic outing on the Island your crew had been staying at for a small vacation after a recent battle. He missed a lot of subtle details you kept bringing up.
“---Luffy! Earth to Luffy! Hello!?” You shouted while hitting his head a few times, wondering why he was spacing out. You panicked a bit because you thought he was angry with you for your question.....You asked him to marry you.
Luffy never expected to find a girlfriend(or boyfriend) while traveling at Sea. Not that he’d ever planned on getting with somebody any time soon. His life was WAY too dangerous for anything romantic anyways. But even so...Meeting you, befriending you, and then falling for you...It all just.../Happened/. it wasn’t planned or expected, he never met somebody as strong as you were, even without devil fruit powers. You just kept surprising him with every day that you woke up.
You stood there while awkwardly holding the box with something /other/ than a ring in it. It was actually a small charm-like Pin that he could pin to his hat or shirt instead. You knew that he wouldn’t wear the ring because it’d easily break with his stretching abilities, he wouldn’t want to break such a valuable gift from his beloved s/o that he loved so much. “Is...Everything alright Luffy? Did I do something wrong?” You asked while tilting your head. Asking that question made him snap back to reality again.
Before you could respond though, he had pounced you. Clinging to you for dear life with this big dopey grin going from ear to ear. His face was blushing a pink hue as well. Pausing to grab your face and give you a big smooch, he chuckled, “Do you have any idea how amazing you are y/n!?” He asked, making you blink, but then blush as well. “I don’t know how you managed to read my mind but, I wanted to marry you too!” (He didn’t fully know what he was talking about here). Your blush got redder, he paused and blinked, “Y/n....Your face is red....” he commented, making you flinch then glare up at him
“S-Shut up...I just didn’t expect you to know what was going on is all!” You lied...He chuckled as he started giving your face kisses as he still clung to you tightly. You watched him put the pin right in the front of his precious hat. The sun was hitting him perfectly, so you watched a gentle ray glow on the pin.
You kept staring until he pulled out a small box himself that he’d been hiding for the past three weeks, nervous to give it to you as he’d never done something so big before...You held the box in your hand. and he’d gotten you the typical ring as well but, it wasn’t gold or silver. It was oddly enough...Purple? Purple was your favorite color after all, so seeing that he got you a purple colored wedding ring of all things, you knew he was the one for you.
Tumblr media
Zoro was actually pretty quick when he realized he wanted you as his Wife. Each day passed when you two were dating for more than a few years now, would be met with “Please be my wife” as a small joke despite being pretty serious about it.
Today was no exception. At first he woke up pretty angry because one of his swords had gone missing...His childhood sword wasn’t with him this morning. About to scold you for taking it, he noticed that you were with Franky and Usopp helping fix it after a recent battle, since you couldn’t go on the island due to being sick, you thought these two could help fix it.
“---Hopefully this does the trick. The metal on the handle has been worn out for a while...It may need to be completely replaced when we reach the next Island in a few days.” Franky comments, while pointing to the dents in the golden handle. You picked it up to get a closer look at it. “It doesn’t just look like the metal part is busted either....It’s the cloth too. Which is something that I can easily fix myself.” You comment out loud, unaware that Zoro was listening in on the conversation.
Eventually leaving to go grab some food and booze, now that he didn’t have to worry on who stole his sword, Zoro sighed as he sat down in his secret drinking spot (that he shares with you of course). “Damn...I want her to be my Wife” he mutters to himself before taking a sip of the drink he was holding.
Later that same day, you had brought back the sword that you had “borrowed to try and get it fixed” for Zoro. before heading back from putting it back, you felt an arm grab your leg. And before you knew it, you were sitting right on his lap again as he hugged you tightly. You giggled as he pressed his face against your neck, his grip getting tighter, “You trying to hug me, or strangle me?” You teased before planting a kiss on his hair. “I want you to be my Wife” He asked again, which just made you chuckle because he’s been doing this for the last week now.
A brief silence filled the room, you squirmed a bit while you tried reaching in your pockets to grab something. A small box. You held it out awkwardly while blushing a deep crimson red from ear to ear. “....W-Why not...You become my husband?” You asked. That caught his attention real quick. He blinked as he started at the small box in front of his face, he reached out to open it and see two rings in it (one for each of you of course)
A big sheepish grin started to form as he ignored the pink hue on his own cheeks. “...I love you y/n...” He simply says while putting the ring on his finger, and then puts your ring on your finger. You giggled before reaching up again to give him a proper smooch that started turning to a passionate kiss. “I’m happy that your finally my wife now~” He jokes as he nuzzles into again and the two of you just cuddled together before dinner time.
Tumblr media
You knew about the Political marriage between him and Pudding from Big Mom’s family. You figured out that something had happened when you saw that Pudding and Sanji had “broken up” when you two had started getting more serious in the relationship. You were Pissed Off knowing that he might have been cheating on his Fiance with you, but the crew later explained the full context of what happened (Usopp had to tell you the details that Pudding erased from Sanji’s memory so it didn’t traumatize him again).
After a rocky start to your steady relationship. Sanji has been nothing but honest with you for anything that you may have wanted to know about. He even offered to tell you his childhood at some point but you declined, saying “Sanji-kun...Tell me when you feel emotionally ready ok? Don’t force yourself if your not ready.” And after he heard that, he /knew/ the girl he had to be with was with you. No ands ifs or buts about it. You were the one he was going to Marry for Real one day.
Today was a special day for the two of you, and thankfully, you were on an Island to be able to celebrate it. This was your third year Anniversary together after the time skip of being apart. Sanji had surprised you with a /very/ romantic date to the local festival that was happening nearby since he knew that fancy restaurants weren’t your thing as you were too used to /his cooking/. You two had spent the majority of the festival with the crew, but after a while, you two had gone off to have your own little private date on your own. Sneaking off to the nearby forest for some privacy.
You knew that he was a Romantic Sap when it came to dates. You were the type to just stay home and chill there but, this was a special day so, you thought that you’d amuse him this time. By the time you two had managed to sit down and start eating the delicious meal he had prepared for the two of you (which included some of your favorites). Sanji was telling a big story that happened when you weren’t part of his life, doing silly poses whenever he’d quote his other crewmates, making you have a hearty giggle fit throughout his story.
Before he turned around, you got on one knee and held the Ring box in your hands and stayed quiet. You grinned when he turned around to see you but, completely /froze/ at the sight of you on one knee with the Ring box in your hands. A pink hue started to form as you started to get flustered, “Sanji-kun.....” You started, which made him gulp, anxious of what’s gonna happen despite knowing what it may be. “...Even though we’ve only been together for a few years without the Time skip included...” You paused again so you could pull out the ring, which was a nice silver ring with a very small diamond in the middle. he recognized this ring as you used to wear it on your chain. “Y-Y/n...You can’t...” he starts off, making you nervous, “That ring is yours...” he finishes while avoiding eye contact due to being nervous himself
You giggled, “Sanji-kun....I love you....I want you to have this. I’m willing to gift you something precious...Because your more precious than a silly ring.”
That did him in. That tiny speech of you claiming he’s more precious than one of your rings was what got him to cry. He cursed, flustered with himself, “D-Dammit....I-I should be proposing t-to you...Not the other way a-around” He complains with a dopey grin that showed his true feelings towards this. “...Will you Marry Me?” You finally asked, holding out a hand so that way you can put the ring on his finger if he said yes.
He didn’t technically say /yes/. But he did nod his head as the awkward crying turned into sobs. After putting the ring on his finger, he fell down to tightly hug you. He’d never been given something so precious in his life without it being taken away from him right after. You knew this though, and just allowed him to cry as you pat his head gently and giggled every now and again
“I love you y/n-san! I love you so fucking much!” He’d repeat, making /you/ get flustered with his chanting declaration of love to you. You hugged him tighter, “I know. I love you too Sanji...After all that you’ve been through...I knew that you were perfect for me, as both a boyfriend, and a Husband.”
Hearing those words just made him sob even longer. He’s never had somebody love him /like this/ in a very long time. And he can’t wait to continue to be loved by y/n for the rest of his life.

The Voyage So Far: Alabasta (Part Two)
east blue (1 | 2) || alabasta (1 | 2) || skypiea || water 7 || enies lobby || thriller bark || paramount war (1 | 2) || fishman island || punk hazard || dressrosa (1 | 2) || whole cake island || wano (1 | 2)
Tumblr media
crocodile is one of my favorite villains in one piece for a number of reasons, and one of them is because he’s such a threat, the first real one faced in the grand line and one of the toughest in all of paradise. the villains from the arcs before this, like wapol or the agents from little garden, could barely even land a hit on luffy in actual combat. so crocodile is introduced here as an absolute force of nature, a complete contrast to recent villains and a very tangible threat.
it’s an impression he very much lives up to later in the arc by crushing luffy not once but twice, which only makes luffy’s ultimate hard-won triumph feel all the better. luffy closes a huge gap over the course of alabasta in order to be able to beat crocodile, and giving us a sense of just how strong he is from the very start gives luffy clawing his way up to that level a lot more weight.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
the successive reveals of luffy’s family never fail to absolutely delight me, because in any other series they would almost certainly feel contrived, but knowing luffy, it is absolutely unsurprising he just never happened to mention his relatives. nobody asked! luffy’s unique brand of honesty is one of my favorite character quirks, because he’s very straightforward and in fact can’t lie for shit, but his priorities are so completely off the wall that he winds up omitting highly relevant information completely by accident.
Tumblr media
ace’s scene in alabasta really does impress me. oda’s said in an sbs that he knew ace’s fate from his introduction, which i find absolutely unsurprising given the intricacy of his story planning. that means he needed ace’s introduction to make him both likable and memorable enough in the space of just a couple chapters that the audience would be engaged when he became the focus of the story a couple hundred chapters on despite barely appearing at all in the intervening time, and he really succeeded.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
kohza is one of my favorite minor characters in the whole series, and i think he’s a big part of why alabasta’s civil war plotline works so well and feels so real. nobody on either side of the war actually wants to fight, but everyone has been driven to such desperation that they feel they have no other choice in order to save their country; and kohza exemplifies that. he's a good person who loves his country a lot, and who genuinely likes and cares about the royal family and vivi especially, and the only option he can see to save alabasta is terrible, but there’s nothing else he can do.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
it’s just fun for me to think about the fact that if crocodile was literally anything other than a very skilled logia, vivi would have ended the whole entire arc right here.
Tumblr media
i really like civil war storylines when they’re well-done, and i think alabasta is one of the best ones i’ve seen in media. most of it is down to what i mentioned earlier, about how nobody on either side actually wants to fight but feels like they have no choice but to. nobody here is actually in the wrong except for crocodile, and so until crocodile is defeated, nothing can be fixed- which is what luffy, of all people, is the one to realize.
Tumblr media
sanji’s mr. prince gambit is probably my single favorite part of alabasta, and i think one of the reasons i like it so much is because he basically beats crocodile at his own game. crocodile is terrifying in battle, but before anything else he’s a manipulator. he’s always working from the shadows, always deceiving people doing what he wants, and sanji manages to turn the tables on him and do the exact same back to him, twice.
also sanji looks great in glasses
Tumblr media
smoker and tashigi both get kind of unfortunately sidelined after this saga, but they’re both really great characters in alabasta. (tashigi especially; i’ll get to her later.) much like the rebel army, they’re good people trying to do the right thing in the tangled mess of tension and politics and resentment that is alabasta- and when that means working with pirates, they’ll buckle down and do it, despite how much it might contradict their worldviews.
i love when events align in one piece so that people who don’t particularly like the strawhats wind up working with them for some common goal (as seen most prominently in impel down), and smoker and tashigi in alabasta are the first and still one of the best examples of that.
Tumblr media
the entirety of luffy versus crocodile round one is so well done. we’re a hundred and fifty chapters in, and although luffy has struggled in fights before now and then, we get the sense he hasn’t ever really been pushed to the brink, and he’s certainly never lost.
and then he does, completely and absolutely, without ever even landing a hit on his opponent, and it hits like a punch.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
oda seems to be a fan of characters just barely missing each other- the similar panel of robin and olvia running past each other from robin’s flashback comes to mind.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
i’ve always liked that of all the strawhats, it’s usopp who gets the first “luffy is going to be king of the pirates” moment. they’ve all said it by the current chapters in wano (with the sole exception of robin, i believe), but usopp said it first, and that feels significant to me. he’s always been the one who feels the least secure in his place on the crew, but even so, he has so much faith in luffy.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
nami’s fight with miss doublefinger is pretty silly in places and i think it gets frequently (understandably, it must be said) overshadowed by zoro’s fight with mr. 1 directly afterwards, but i really like it nonetheless. it’s nami’s first real solo fight in the whole series, and once she finds her feet she kicks ass, and i really like that. it feels like a very satisfying development for her, to stand up and risk her life in direct combat for vivi’s sake.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
we’re now almost a thousand chapters in and its my firm belief that zoro versus mr. 1 is still one of the best fights in the entire series. i definitely think it’s probably zoro’s best fight- only his match with kaku compares. the narrative build over the course of the fight, from zoro struggling just to match mr. 1 (and getting shredded to pieces in the process) to cutting him down in one final stroke, is incredibly cool and satisfying to watch. it feels like a very tangible step forward for zoro in terms of ability, like a massive obstacle has been surmounted and, as he himself says, he’s now stronger for it.
its also very cool that this is, i believe, the first appearance of what is probably observation haki, though it isn’t named or recognized as such. i’m always endlessly impressed by all the little moments of internal consistency that oda manages to sprinkle into his story.
Tumblr media
there’s barely any dialogue on these entire two pages, from crocodile dropping vivi to luffy and pell swooping in- the story is briefly told entirely through visuals- and i love that. it gives the impression of a single tense, frozen moment as vivi falls, which is then broken in spectacular fashion when luffy catches her.
Tumblr media
i really, really like the progression that runs through all three of luffy’s fights with crocodile. the gap between them goes from being impossible, with luffy unable to even land a hit and crocodile basically toying with him; to surmountable but still huge, with luffy able to land some hits but still outclassed; to finally putting them on basically even ground. and every inch of that growth on luffy’s part is hard-fought and hard-won and well-deserved.
crocodile’s confidence in his abilities isn’t misplaced- he genuinely is that powerful. but if there’s anything we know about luffy by now, it’s that he doesn’t ever give up. it’s very fun to watch crocodile’s dismissiveness turn into disbelief turn into rage and frustration when luffy just won’t die.
luffy is, additionally, pretty clearly a better brawler than crocodile (which makes sense, crocodile is clearly used to devastating long-range attacks with his powers while luffy grew up fighting giant wildlife with his bare hands), which means that by the time of their last fight, where they’re just whaling on each other in the catacombs and crocodile is starting to get sloppy and desperate and lose control, if anything it’s luffy who has the upper hand.
Tumblr media
zoro and sanji’s dynamic is always a favorite of mine, and one of the things i like best about them is how perfectly in sync they always manage to be when it comes to things that actually matter, despite fighting like cats and dogs pretty much every other time. i’ll never understand people who think they genuinely aren’t friends.
Tumblr media
tashigi is really good in alabasta, okay. she essentially has her own entire character growth arc. she goes from her stance in loguetown, where she isn’t even tolerant of (fully legal!) bounty hunters, to here, where she’s forced to confront that the world isn’t nearly as black and white as she’s always believed it to be, that sometimes pirates are good and allies of the government are bad, and ultimately makes the right choice to help the strawhats even though it clearly pains and frustrates her that she can’t do anything more herself.
i’ll be forever mad that her only really significant appearance after this in punk hazard didn’t really live up to what her character deserved.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
i really like how the countdown sequence is done. the tension is ratcheting up and up and up as the clock ticks down in the final seconds, panels cutting all over the city to show all the different characters, everyone who’s caught up in this conflict and everyone who’ll die if the cannon fires-
and then the clock hits zero, and we get this panel that’s just... quiet, after all the madness, as we see how vivi stopped the detonation. i think oda is very good at setting up his pages so they have a flow to them, so no matter how quickly you actually read sometimes things feel like they’re going very fast and all happening at once and then it slows down and gives the reader a chance to breathe, if only to speed up again later. i think oda is really good at pacing in general, really, both on a micro level like this and on a larger scale.
Tumblr media
luffy’s greatest strength isn’t really his strength. he’s strong, absolutely, but that’s not really why he wins the fights he shouldn’t win. he wins because he just doesn’t fucking stay down. his fight with katakuri is probably the best example of this, because katakuri has him beat in pretty much every category except sheer endurance, and there as here, it’s that endurance that winds up getting luffy the win in the end.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
i do love that it’s the rain that ends the war. not the explosion and pell’s sacrifice, not vivi’s pleading, not even luffy kicking crocodile into the stratosphere, but the rain, the thing alabasta’s been missing for too long, the thing crocodile stole, the only thing all these people are fighting over.
it’s crocodile’s symbolic defeat- at the same moment his power is broken by luffy, the stranglehold of dehydration he’s been using to foment war and rebellion is all at once gone, and he’s left with nothing at all, and alabasta can finally find peace and start to heal again.
Tumblr media
i always love the little moments that show, usually without words, just how much the strawhats love each other, and all of them unanimously waiting until vivi is out of sight to collapse so that she won’t worry, won’t see how ragged they ran themselves for their sake, is definitely one of them.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
i adore vivi’s sendoff, because while its sad she has to go, the certainty that someday they’ll meet again and that even if not they’ll always be crew manages to make this scene endlessly hopeful instead (which, i think, is also a good summary of one piece’s tone as a whole, at least in its more serious moments). luffy never says goodbye, after all, and nobody ever really leaves the strawhat pirates.
i’m really looking forward to vivi’s re-entry to the story. i really, really want to see her reunion with the strawhats.
Tumblr media
hey look, it’s the panel my profile picture is from!
Tumblr media
the mystery surrounding robin and her past is built up in little ways long before enies lobby, from her harsh reaction when confronted with by tashigi to her aversion to being called by her given name to this flashback, of her talking to cobra about her dream. of them, the latter is my favorite, because i think it’s probably the most sincere she is until enies lobby- which makes sense, given she thinks she’s about to die.
like many things about robin in alabasta, this gets cast in a new light by her backstory. if she dies here, so too does the entire legacy of ohara- but she’s so beaten down and hopeless that she really doesn’t see any light ahead to strive for. there’s no hope left, for her, and the whole world against her.
and then there’s luffy, who creates hope everywhere he goes, who makes her live anyways.
Tumblr media
this is a hell of a spread to hook us very effectively right into the sky island saga. it’s a perfect reminder of just how much we still don’t know about all the endless mysteries of the grand line, and just how many adventures are still yet to be had.

Stars and Dreams
Tumblr media
Anonymous requested: Hello!!! (^ω^) Can I request one-shot soulmate au and (magic au? Idk if you name that. 😅) Law x fem! S/O? Okay it's more like a legend. If a person meet another person (in form of a star) in their dreams they're are soulmates together. Law sees her, her appearance is form of a star but he can hear her voice clear and well. Same opposite for fem! S/O. The timeline is somewhere in Punk Hazard. And she's by the strawhats crew. When she meets Law she thinks "hey! His voice is sounds familiar." She has often dream it if she sleeps. She has also heard the legend of soulmates. If they touch each other. Then both in their body shines a bright light. Like magic. And if they sleep again. Then she sees not the star form but person Law standing before her. That's it. I hope it's not to difficult. 😅 And take your time all you need.
Alright! The first request of the year! I saved it from last year because I am beaming with confidence (and I am such a sucker for fluff and soulmates alkdafs) FLDSA I don’t think this classifies as a magic au but I sure as heck am putting that down because stars??? They are freaking magical fluff to me. This was so fun to do so thank you for requesting it!
Trafalgar Law x Female Reader
Warnings: Fluff- tooth-rotting fluff, Slight angst that is fixed with more fluff, probably grammar like always- Technical spoilers for Punk Hazard but I try to be as vague as possible and skip to the end of it.
Words: 1746
-
You loved going to sleep. You loved it so much and the whole crew knows why- You are one of the lucky few who has been blessed to have a soulmate. Some would consider it not lucky at all since it is so uncommon and more like a legend- But you love it so much.
You love the idea of solely being someone’s and them solely being yours.
The first time you had this dream was roughly when you were twenty. The shock that this legend of seeing your soulmate in the form of a star was beyond shocking to you. He was too bright of a light as a star, and you wondered if you appeared that way to him- If you were just as bright and mysterious to him.  Even so, you loved to stare into the light of the star. Even if you could not see his physical form you knew immediately that you loved him. The second you heard his voice too- You melted. He was perfect in every way even if you have yet to learn more about him.
The part that saddened you was even though you could talk to him in your dream- You were not really talking to him. It was only a dream so whatever information his voice gave you, was all in your head. You had no true way of knowing who he is, what he liked, his name, where he was from, absolutely nothing. It made you a bit heartbroken because this was the sad part- You were destined to be together but the only thing you had to go off from was the sound of his voice.
So, it was around six years ago long before you joined the Straw Hats that the dreams started. The dreams were vague and very rare to happen at first until you did join the Straw Hats two years ago.
They got more constant and you loved to fall asleep and dream away to hear his voice. You tried to memorize it for when you were awake in the real world on islands. To try and pinpoint his voice but it was in vain.
Slowly- Ever so slowly, you began to accept the fact that you may never meet him. It broke your heart, but you began to accept it while you and the Straw Hats were split up, and eventually, it just hurt to go to sleep and dream of someone meant to be yours, but you may never have. You started to avoid sleeping.
~*~
For Law- Things were different.
When he first got the dream at age twenty, he denied it. He thought that soulmates were just strictly legends- Something not real. Until that dream and because of how much it made him feel- Alive and surprised that he may be able to love someone and receive their love in return, it frankly scared him.
He avoided sleep whenever he could- He avoided the fact that he has a soulmate.
He did not want one- He did not want to risk losing the person meant for him since he just kept losing people when he was younger.
It terrifies him and he hates it.
He will be stubborn for the next six years but eventually as the dreams got more frequent and he had no choice but to hear your sweet voice- He started to fall and hard.
It pissed him off greatly but since he slowly started to give in and felt the overwhelming love drift to him in his sleep from your star, he… Started to love to sleep when he can. He enjoyed it so much. To hear your sweet feminine voice call for him- Even if it may just be his mind doing that for you he loved it nonetheless.
Though- He did realize he could not let his dreams, his soulmate, ruin his plans for Doflamingo. He tried to keep a strict schedule and since he knew the possibility of dying was there- He tried to sleep and hear your voice so it can be one last comfort he has before the possibility of the next day taking his life comes.
He pursued his plan- Got to Punk Hazard, waited for someone he put his bid on to get there- Monkey D. Luffy to create an alliance with him. What he did not anticipate was to hear that familiar voice coming from his crew.
It became unreal to him and he did think he was going a bit crazy- But… According to the legends, all he had to do was touch you then after this terrible mission he can sleep, and hopefully- He will find out if you really are his soulmate or if this was all just a terrible dream leading him on and making him believe he can be loved in this unforgiving world.
~*~
You were exhausted. And really grumpy. Those two things did not match well, and it made your brain foggy- Definitely not a good thing when you got to Punk Hazard. An island that seemed to be swarming with enemies.
It was cold and you were miserable- Then you heard an annoying voice trying to make an alliance with your captain- Wait, you know that voice.
You couldn’t place it, but you were fairly certain it may have been from your dream. That is your initial thought until Robin informs you that they all met him back Sabaody Archipelago- Trafalgar Law. You do not recall- You remember a polar bear but that is it.
While everyone was fighting you had gotten lost with Zoro and the poor fool got split up with you and you were looking all over for him so you can’t really remember much. It is a shame since that mostly means you met him- Maybe you think it was his voice because of how loopy you are. You should really sleep after all this.
It becomes a hassle to keep up with everyone, but you are used to being exhausted now and days. The others do keep an eye on you when you become a bit dazed, they help you a lot.
Eventually- All the chaos your crew, Law, and the marines ensue on the island comes to an end- Law has Caesar successfully tied down for the next part of the plan he wants you guys to help him with- Going to Dressrosa.
But for now- Everyone, including the marines, is enjoying dinner together after that long and hectic journey of bringing Punk Hazard’s facility to an end. You wait patiently for your food- Waiting for everyone else to get their fill- Even arguing with Sanji and Chopper (who has been concerned about your health) that you can wait.
You sit down and feel the exhaustion creep up on you and nearly smother you then and there but then- You feel a hand on your shoulder and a warm bowl of stew being offered to you.
You look up to see it is Law who has his eyes narrowed down at you.
“You should listen to your doctor more. He informed me about your sleeping habits, and it isn’t good to be low on energy so you should eat up,” He states rather coldly.
You do not take it to heart. You smile and thank him.
“I appreciate the worry now that we will be working together. Oh- I suppose we still do not know each other well from Sabaody. I am (Name),” You say softly.
He narrows his eyes down but replies, “Trafalgar Law… Unfortunately, (Name) we did not have the pleasure of meeting at Sabaody. I would have remembered but it is wonderful to finally meet you now.  You should rest up.”
He leaves before you can process what he said. You are shocked- Because if you truly did not meet him but just his crewmember… Then that means you may not be that loopy. That the voice you fell in love with but have been avoiding is really his.
You hate to say it but… You feel the need to fall asleep. You hate the feeling of hope just in case you are wrong.
~*~
Law is excited. He touched your shoulder, thankfully not like a creep, but as a genuinely concerned doctor. Now he just needs to wait to see if the star will turn to you tonight- He hopes it does but the part of him that does not want to risk losing anyone ever again also hopes it doesn’t.
They sleep there that night deciding to rest up before going on the move to Dressrosa- And like always he is excited to go to sleep, to hear her voice.
Sleep came fast and easy for him- He welcomes the bliss of a clear mind and how he lands in a meadow-like area surrounded by stars- The main star being his soulmate’s form. He waits with anticipation and slowly the star does begin to transform. He can’t help the blush on his face or how he feels the sudden happiness that it is true.
The star turns into your physical form.
He finally found his soulmate.
~*~
Upon waking up- You feel heated. You feel a total sense of comfort and you feel better. That was one of the most peaceful nights of sleep you got since you avoided sleeping and- It was worth falling asleep. You could cry tears of joy from seeing the star turn into Law.
But now that you are awake and you know who your soulmate is- How do you go about it? Do you even assume he had the same thing happen to him?
You are suddenly anxious as the smell of food wakes you up further. That means people will be gathering for breakfast and you all are off to Dressrosa afterward. That means you get to see Law- You feel even more anxious.
However, you do not get the time you needed to compose yourself.
Instead, you hear a knock on the girl’s door- Nami and Robin long awake and letting you sleep since you haven’t lately, and you feel your nerves light on fire as you open the door to see Law standing there.
You notice the blush on his face and the gentle look in his eyes. He decides to address the issue first. You can hear the happiness in his voice.
“So- We are soulmates.”
You smile back.
“Yeah- I guess we are.”

heyo ! i really love your work and the way you write is very like the character , so could i get kid , law , and sanji with a fem!s/o whos partially disabled and has a cane/wheelchair to walk around with because of her disability? , she doesn’t need a cane and or wheelchair 24/7 , but i really would like to see what u can think of because i am partially disabled and i haven’t seen anyone write as accurately as u ❤️ you don’t need to me write it if u don’t want to ofc ❤️❤️
Hello my dear! I am sorry that this took me a while to get to, I did some research for this and I wanted to make sure I got things as accurate as I possibly could. If there is anything I got wrong, please reach out to me so I can fix it! Thank you!
Tumblr media
Eustass Kid:
Tumblr media
-Kid wouldn’t think that his girlfriend was any different from him because of her disability. In fact, out of anyone who was there, he would be the most empathetic because he is missing an arm. In fact, if him and his girlfriend were together when he lost his arm, he would be the one seeking her comfort most of the time and her encouragement to keep going.
-Kid is a crafty man, he loves giving himself little projects to work on here and there. So while his girlfriend is relaxing or nowhere to be seen, Kid would take their wheelchair or cane and add small modifications to it.
-Something Kid would add would be a smack compartment in the arms of the wheelchair, something that would be able to climb up stairs and even more comfortable cushions for them to sit on. For their cane, he would add something to help her with self defense, something like Brook’s sword cane or something similar to a gun if that is what she is more in tune with.
-Would be incredibly protective but also ignorant until he had met her. When he would be walking around, he wouldn’t even notice places that had only stairs as options as an issue before he realized that his girlfriend wouldn’t be able to climb up them when she used her wheelchair. Expect a lot of random, spontaneous questions as he tries to figure out the world through her eyes.
-“Hey, so do you need help carrying your cane around or something?” he would ask, or, “I heard that the next island we’re having to land at has ramps! Isn’t that cool?”
-He would celebrate all of the small victories with her, he just wants her to feel accepted and loved, and while he isn’t big on showing off in public, he would want her to know in private that he really cares about her by giving her little knick knacks and supporting all she wanted to do.
Trafalgar Law:
Tumblr media
-Medically, Law is the most equipped to have a girlfriend, but he would honestly be a bit ignorant as well. While he knows about all the medical facts and situations that can happen, it takes him going out with her to see that there is actually more to a disability than just walking, like social scenarios. He would notice how stressed she would get when places didn’t have ramps and how she would always try to pretend that it didn’t bother her as much as it did, and like Kid, he wouldn’t have noticed how big of an issue it was until it was affecting him personally.
-If his girlfriend isn’t feeling well, he would know what to do to help her out, he knows how to massage her legs, how to give nice back rubs and even what medications to give in case the pain becomes too much for her to handle. And even if medicine isn’t what she wants, he will listen to her and try to help her the best he can.
-He is a very analytical learner, and he wants to do his best to help her even though he isn’t the most empathetic lover, he would always make sure that her comfort items were close at hand and that she always had her cane and wheelchair handy.
-Law is very self aware that she isn’t a delicate person either, while she needed help with some things, he also knew that she was a very capable woman of doing things by herself and he respects that. And by watching her do things, he is able to learn what her limits are and when to step in and offer assistance. In the end, he wants only the best for her.
-When they went outside anywhere, Law would make a checklist of things he needed to make sure he brought with him just in case something were to happen. Wheelchair? Check. Collapsible cane? Check. He would always be prepared for any situation, in some ways, he would end up turning into a mom friend depending on how much he would end up bringing with him.
-While he could never know the struggles and joys she goes through, he wants to be the person supporting her throughout it all in his own way. Whether that’s listening to her celebrate her small victories when they’re alone, or that’s giving her hand when they need to walk up some stairs or just offering extra physical support. No matter what, he would never judge her, in fact he would respect her and would honestly see her as the strongest person in his life.
Vinsmoke Sanji:
Tumblr media
-He is the best emotional support on the entire planet, when it comes to spoiling his girlfriend, he knows what he’s doing. When they’re on the ship together, he would love to spend time with her cooking and letting her try whatever he makes. He also enjoys listening to her talk and showering her with as many gifts as he possibly can. Desserts, flowers, cute accessories, he has it all just for her.
-If she ever feels like she needs help walking, he won’t just hold her hand. If she is alright with it, he won’t mind lifting her up in public and carrying her bridal style anywhere and just holding her like that. But he understands that not all women are alright with that, so if she isn’t, he is content with holding her hand and even pushing her wheelchair if she is alright with that.
-He wants her to feel glamorous all the time, so with Franky’s help and also Usopp’s and maybe even Nami’s, he would make it his mission to help modify her wheelchair to where it has cute little decorations on it that would hopefully make her smile. And with clothing, he would ask Nami and Robin for help. And through their help, he would find out that cropped sweaters and jackets actually work really well with wheelchairs, and he would make sure he buys her lots of cute sweaters to wear when it’s cold.
-As a true gentleman, his chivalry knows no bounds, he would do anything for her and wouldn’t accept anyone being rude to his girlfriend, he would be protective of her and would also respect her limits and her wishes. He would want to help her but also give her the space she needs to do her own thing, honestly he would have to be told by her sometimes that she is still capable of doing lots of things and that she doesn’t need help with everything, but she appreciates the gesture.
-Sanji would love her unconditionally and would appreciate everything about her and would spend most of his time with her if he could, and no matter what happens, he would love her forever.

Hiya Cookie! Congrats on 900!!!! *tosses confetti on you* you are so deserving of every single one of your followers, and I hope you get flooded with many many more! For my Tarot Reading, would it be possible to ask for Sanji? 👉👈 thank you for your time and effort, and I'm so excited to see what the cards have in store! 🥰
Thank you Emma! And thank you for helping me out when I was testing this ❤ Enjoy!
1. His intentions – Knight of Wands
Adventure – fearlessness – action
Sanji wants to live his life to the fullest, simple as that. He wants to chase his goals, reach his dreams and get there with his friends. Somehow, you align with his goals and/or dreams, or you might have started as one of his friends. Right now, he wants to take you on an adventure. In love, his card also signifies passion and hot times.
2. What attracts them to you – Seven of Wands in reverse
Refusing to fight – not defensive - confidence
When people attack you, physically or otherwise, you avoid conflict. Whether it is because conflict scares you or because you feel confident enough that you don’t have to defend yourself or win a fight to prove a point doesn’t matter to Sanji. He appreciates how you handle situations without escalating them.
3. The date – Seven of Pentacles
Patience – hard work – progress
The date will go well! It may be a little awkward at times, and things may go wrong here and there, but it’s nothing that cannot be overcome. Any starting relationship is the start of a lot of work – getting to know each other, finding each other’s boundaries,… but this is the next step in that progress. Don’t be afraid, keep working on it, the next date will be even better!
4. Higher reason/karmic link – Two of Pentacles in reverse
Disorganized – overwhelmed – loss of balance
The two of pentacles represents being able to balance life. Business and pleasure is something Sanji has a lot of trouble separating. When it comes to food or hungry people, when it comes to women,… and it’s caused trouble for him more than once. He needs someone to help him get his shit together, which is where you come in. Possibly you’re having similar struggles of balancing things, in which case Sanji will be able to help you.
5. Hopes and fears – Five of Swords
Low self-esteem – failure – being too hard on yourself
The main fear here is not the other person. Sanji has a low self-esteem, and possibly so do you. You’re both too hard on yourselves, blaming yourself for every little thing, even if it’s not something you can help. You try to fix too much on your own, instead of relying on the other. The main fear is the relationship breaking because of you, for the both of you. Remain forgiving, don’t fight a fight that will only have losers, and don’t be as hard on yourself as you are. Once you both realise this problem, you can start working on it – together.
6. Advice – Two of Cups in reverse
Separation – imbalance – broken communication
Be wary of your communication going awry, otherwise this can go very wrong very fast. The two of cups signifies the start of a new relationship, a lovely and meaningful one where both parties want to give to the other, but something is blocking that right now. Find what it is and solve it. This relation could be one of the best things that has ever happened to you, but you’ll have to work for it.

Little Bits and Pieces of Heaven
ATTIRE ON FIRE
One-shot #: 26
Disclaimer: One Piece (and its characters) belongs to Eiichiro Oda-sensei.
Reminder: I have no beta-reader. Any grammatical and spelling errors are solely mine.
Warning: OOC possible. One shot.
Rating: T (Slight suggestions)
Note: I’m kinda on a scribble roll here. Well actually, I’m trying to lessen my files. This idea came from an SBS that I read a few years back. I already drafted this one-shot right after that and forgot about it.
Summary: All of a sudden he was standing directly in front of her, looking down at her with a glint in his grey eye that tells her he’s gonna get retribution.
"Alright. Wear this!"
Something suddenly hit Zoro's face without warning. Cursing, he made a grab for it and an irritated expression appeared on his normally stoic face. He stared at the shirt in his hand before shifting half of his gaze to the orange-haired girl across him.
"Why?"
"Because," Nami placed both of her hands on her hips before pointing at the clothes he hastily threw on before running out of the men’s quarters after he heard her screeching his name. "Everything on you hurts my eyes!"
Zoro looked down at what he is wearing and frowned. "Then don't look!" He growled angrily before throwing the shirt right back at her face.
Nami let out a yelp when it hit her. She pulled the cloth away from her face before marching towards him.
"You are changing your clothes Zoro!" She forcefully shoved the shirt back into his arms, earning her a disgruntled ‘oi’. "I won't have you walking with me like this one big, fashion disaster that you are!" She gestured from his head down to his toes with one hand. “Unless you are trying to be a tree, I don’t know how you can think that that green and brown color combination will work!”
"The hell I care about how I look!" The tall lad snapped at her.
There was a pause and navigator's eyes narrowed into tiny, dangerous slits. And everyone who was outside the Sunny’s deck swore that at that very moment the sky turned dark and ominous as lightning flashed and thunder rumbled—a foreboding sign.
Zoro met Nami’s gaze directly, unflinchingly. Petty things like clothes don’t bother him at all. As long as there is something to wear no matter how ugly it is, he doesn’t give any shit about it.
Besides, like he’d let her have her way. Again. He already agreed to accompany her to town and be her pack mule for the day. And that was after she interrupted his post-lunch nap with all her shrieking.
Wasn’t that enough already?
"You. Are. Changing." Nami hissed through gritted teeth, punctuating each word threateningly.
“No. I’m. Not.” Zoro answered back, folding his arms across his chest with a huff.
"You are changing,” Nami repeated tautly. “Or I swear I'm gonna call Robin and have her use her devil fruit powers to pin you down while I change your clothes for you!"
Zoro look astounded for a second. Did she just threaten him with Robin?
Now this is something new. Whatever happened to the usual debt threats Nami loves subjecting him to?
Regardless, like hell he's gonna let the Hana Hana no mi user lay her multiple hands on him.
“Come on Nami, you can do better than that,” he snorted. “Now you’re using that gloomy woman to—”
“Ara, how rude…” Robin cut him off suddenly as she entered the room.
Zoro stiffened despite himself. After all, the story of Franky’s first-hand experience from Robin’s power was enough to give any Mugiwara man nightmares.
Even if that happened two years ago.
The archeologist glanced momentarily at the swordsman, her gaze piercing. Zoro did his best not to move or make another sound lest she breaks his neck.
Nami caught his reaction and a menacing smile appeared on her face. “Robin!” She exclaimed chirpily. “You’re just right on time!”
“Need help Nami?” With an ominous smile gracing her beautiful face, Robin inquired as she headed towards her side of the bed. “Is Zoro giving you trouble?”
Zoro glared scathingly at her. He opened his mouth to protest, but stopped himself right in time.
Nami eyes met Zoro’s as she answered smugly. “Yes he is!” Her gaze dared the green-haired man to contradict her.
It was Zoro’s turn to grit his teeth at her. But he still he held his tongue. He learned long ago never to butt heads with two women at the same time.
One is enough. And he already had his hands full with Nami. He didn’t need Robin joining the navigator in making his life more miserable in the ship. Though Robin is sensible most of the times… but she does have this weird affinity for scaring the shit out of her nakamas for her own amusement.
“Need a hand?” Robin coolly asked as she busily perused the pile of books on her night stand.
“No she doesn’t!” Zoro fiercely stated.
“Yes I do!” Nami answered at the same time.
Both glared daggers at each other as Robin chuckled. Oh, she’s used to it by now. After all, Zoro and Nami’s never-ending disagreements are always a source of entertainment on their ship.
“I don’t see what the hell is wrong with what I’m wearing.” Zoro finally grumbled.
Nami scowled in answer. “Everything.”
He snorted. “It’s just clothes woman.”
“An awful choice of clothes!”
“Why the hell do I need to dress up Nami?” Zoro complained, his tone cranky. “You’re just gonna use me as your pack mule for the day. Why do I need to look good for that?”
“I want my mule to look dashing.”
He scoffed. “Then take ero-cook! He does it better.”
Nami raised an eyebrow. “Oh,” she mouthed, a bit exaggeratedly. “So you admit there is something Sanji-kun’s better than you at?”
Silence.
And Robin fought the urge to giggle out loud. With the mention of their cook’s name, Zoro’s bound to hit the roof soon enough.
“That ero kappa will never be better than me at anything!” Zoro exploded.
“That’s not true, Sanji-kun’s better than you at cooking!”
Robin can actually feel Zoro seething from the other side of room. Trust Nami to rile him up so easily. Though she knows that after so much resistance (and shouting) from Zoro’s part… it will still end up the way it usually does. Their swordsman catering to Nami’s whims regardless of how inane it is.
Well, it’s actually good since there’s no need for her to use her powers. With how strong Zoro is, she doubts if she’ll be able to hold him down long enough.
That would be tiresome. She thought with an inward sigh.
Guess it’s just Zoro’s nature to go and face the enemy head on even if there’s no chance of winning.
With her chosen book in hand, the older woman turned to watch her friends. They are still glaring and gritting their teeth at each other. Robin took it as her cue to exit the room.
Whatever happens between her two nakamas after this, she’d rather not be caught across the crossfire no matter how amusing.
“Alright,” Nami suddenly sighed in a dejected manner, surprising Zoro when she gave up easily. “You can go and do whatever you want.”
Zoro stared at her in astonishment.
“I’ll just ask Sanji-kun to accompany me.” She began to tap a finger to her cheek as if she was thinking. "What was it that Luffy said?” Her brows furrowed as Zoro bristled, apparently aware of what was coming. “Oh! Worth a thousand men." She threw a sugar-sweet smile at Zoro. “Guess that is so true after all.”
That was all it took for Zoro to relent.
“Damn it! I’m changing alright!” Zoro barked as he shot Nami a venomous glare while the girl gave him a triumphant smirk that could rival a shark’s.
“Very good Zoro!” Nami gleefully nodded in approval, reveling at the fact that she won against the him for the umpteenth time. “Do it now. I promise I won’t peek.”
Zoro’s glare was enough to rival the coldness of Aokiji’s devil fruit powers.
And Robin just shook her head slightly at the already expected outcome.
“I’ll leave you two here,” she said with a small smile. Zoro was growling as he removed his shirt. Totally unbothered by their presence. “And Nami,” Robin called out to get the mapmaker’s attention who’s attention was fixed quite intently at the now stripping swordsman. We’ll be docking at the island’s port in half an hour according to Franky’s calculation.”
“If you have time, you can check if he is right.” She suggested, moving towards the room’s exit. A disembodied hand appeared to open the door’s knob even before she reached it.
“That is… if you’re not busy trying not to ‘peek’ while Zoro changes his clothes,” she said with a sly wink at Nami before exiting.
“ROBIN!” Nami all but screamed at her friend as the disembodied hand gave them a wave before closing the door and vanishing in a swirl of pinkish-white petals.
But not before surreptitiously locking it.
Nami turned beet red at that. Trust Robin to insinuate that and give Zoro something to tease her about.
A discarded shirt hit her. She scowled and her attention returned to the former pirate hunter who was unbuttoning his pants.
She glowered at him. “Don’t just strip down to your underwear like I’m not even here you moron! You could learn some modesty you know.”
“I don’t wanna hear that coming from you.” Zoro retorted before throwing his pants at her.
“HEY!”
“What? Don’t tell me you’re now being shy and all.” The grin on his face was vicious. “Besides, nothing here you haven’t seen before Nami.”
Blood rushed to her face at his statement. But definitely not because she was embarrassed or anything.
She didn’t answer and instead, grabbed the clothes she had picked for him earlier, throwing them at right at his face.
“Shut up and just get dressed Zoro. We’re wasting time!” She said with a huff. Kami knows how he needs direction with what is appropriate to wear just as how he needs direction with which way to go.
“I swear, you, Luffy and Chopper needs all the help you can get when it comes to fashion,” she muttered exasperatedly, as Zoro finished changing his clothes. She gave him a glance over and nodded approvingly. “That’s a heck lot better. You don’t look much of an eyesore now.”
“Oh good,” Zoro drawled sarcastically. “If this gets you off my back then I’m all for it.”
Nami beamed at him. “Glad we finally came to some kind of an agreement. If I get to dress you, then it would be less complaining from me, ne?”
Zoro remained passive at her declaration. “Great,” he grumbled rather sarcastically. “So you get to dress me now Nami?”
“If it makes you look better, then yes of course.”
He cocked an eyebrow at her before a smirk pulled at the corner of his lips. “Guess I have to return the favor then.”
Nami blinked. And when she realized what he was pertaining to she shook her head vehemently. “Oh no, no, no! You don’t get to dress me Zoro! Not in this life or the next!”
All of a sudden he was standing directly in front of her, looking down at her with a glint in his grey eye that tells her he’s gonna get retribution. “You’re mistaken.” He said with a sneer.
He stole a glanced on the room’s door that Robin conveniently locked earlier.
“What do you mean?”
“You get to dress me? Then I get to undress you.”
Addendum: According to SBS Volume 37: Luffy, Zoro and Chopper cannot dress up on their own. If they do, it’s because either Sanji, Usopp, Nami or Robin is with them. It has merit. Remember that blue tank top in Skypiea that made Zoro look so hot? We have Nami to thank for that.
And Zoro does not really care about clothes and all but it’s just fun to play with this fact.

Friends with Benefits never work (2)
Part 1: here
Also on Ao3:  here
Please, we need to talk
Sanji had sent that message exactly ten minutes after Zoro had stormed out of his apartment. That was a month ago by now. After Zoro left the building with Sanji’s apartment in it, he ran straight home, locked himself into his apartment and didn’t leave it for two days. He even called in sick to work, sent Luffy to voicemail when he called and ignored Nami, when she had furiously banged on his door, demanding answers.
On the third day, he decided he can’t hide from everything forever, so he went to work, called back Luffy to apologize for being absent and sent one last text to Sanji, before blocking him.
There is nothing to talk about.
Nami had been on his doorstep fifteens minutes after the text was marked as read and had screamed more profanities than Zoro had ever heard in his entire life before. He blocked her out after the first ten minutes of screaming, let her get it out of her system and then told her he was very sorry she felt about it like that, before shutting the door in her face. That didn’t stop Nami though. Instead she just called him to complain about that, too. And then threatened him, that she would actually break his door down, if he had the nerve to block her, too. Zoro didn’t think Nami possessed the physical capabilities for that, but he wasn’t willing to test it.
So, he was missing the big group gatherings in order to avoid Sanji. He did have Luffy, Usopp and even Franky over for the occasional game night, Nami stood at his door trying to get answers out of him once a week and even Robin and Chopper came over once. Robin had invited herself to tea, but contrary to Zoro’s expectation, she hasn’t lost a word about him and Sanji, so he just let her. All in all, the only thing he hasn’t really seen in a while was the bar. And Sanji’s face.
It was manageable. He could live his life like that.
It surely was better than having Sanji, without really having Sanji, at least. The clear cut was good for him and Sanji would be able to move on. It would be easier for Sanji than it was for Zoro, because Sanji didn’t have nasty feelings to get rid of first.
It hurt to think about it like that.
*
„You know what I’m missing?“, Luffy asked, both hands on his controller, not looking away from the TV for a second. How he had the capacity to concentrate on their current match and think about something else entirely would always be a mystery to Zoro. And the cause of a headache for Usopp.
„Not now, we’re this close to winning“, Usopp answered pressed, as if he was in actual physical strain. Maybe he was, their opponents were decent enough. Nothing the four of them couldn’t manage, but better than the last ones they had, for sure. Zoro was surely enjoying the challenge and Luffy was too, if his giggles were anything to go by.
They did win, in the end but by a scratch, because Luffy started arguing with Usopp, that he could play a game and think about something else, just fine. Usopp never argued against that, just said that he himself couldn’t play and talk at once. Somehow Luffy thought this was funny, too.
„What are you missing?“, Franky asked, to get the two out of their argument and Zoro went to the fridge to get himself a new beer.
„Sanji’s food. Playing and eating Sanji’s food were always the best evenings“, Luffy proclaimed and Zoro almost lost his grip on his bottle. Good thing he was still in the kitchen or the others would have seen that.
„Are you stupid? You can just say this near Zoro“, Usopp whisper-yelled, probably hoping Zoro wouldn’t hear him. Too bad the walls in his apartment were paper-thin. So, Usopp knew. Then it was safe to assume that Franky and Brook knew, too. Damn Nami.
„Oh right“, Luffy spoke, sounding way more panicled than the situation called for, „I forgot. You think he heard us?“ There was his way out of this. If he just came back, pretending nothing had happened, he could avoid this entire uncomfortable situation. So, as a distraction he grabbed his phone and opened the Delivery app, before walking back into his living room.
„Hey guys, I’m a bit hungry, you wanna order something?“
As expected Luffy took it without a second thought. Usopp looked at him slightly skeptical before reluctantly agreeing and only Franky seemed to be really suspicious, but he didn’t say anything either. So they ordered their usual, way too big for four people order and Luffy basically inhaled half of the food himself. Usopp and Franky ate more like real people did, Zoro’s beer stash took a big hit and no one thought about mentioning Sanji again.
Only when they went to go home, did Franky stay behind to tell Zoro that it is okay, if he didn’t want to talk about it yet, but Franky knew for a fact, that his walls were thin enough to hear everything. Zoro deliberately did not invite Franky to the next game night.
Franky didn’t seem too mad about it.
*
„Is it Thursday already?“, Zoro asked, when he opened his apartment door to go to work and was instead greeted by Nami standing in front of it. Something which has become his normal routine on Thursdays in the past two months. Zoro could have sworn it was Tuesday though.
„It isn’t!“, Nami informed him, still sounding less than amused. How she managed to uphold her anger for so long was a mystery to Zoro. „Last Thursday you went to work earlier than usual. To avoid complications like that again, I’m visiting you at random times from now on.“ Which meant he couldn’t even prepare himself for Nami’s rants anymore. Just great!
„Don’t you have better things to do?“, Zoro questioned, because he could hardly believe that this thing that happened two months ago was important enough for Nami to change up her entire routine.
„I would yell at Sanji, if he was the one that made a mistake. But unfortunately you’re the only one to blame here. So I’m blaming you, as I should!“
And Zoro was barely withstanding the temptation to argue, that first of all, falling in love with Sanji wasn’t a mistake he made voluntarily and second of all, it was in the rules that anyone could end the relationship without having to give a reason. But arguing with Nami had never ended well for him. And according to past experiences it went worse the more aggravated she was. And Nami was very aggravated right now.
„You mean there is something you haven’t said already in the past two months?“, Zoro asked instead, making his way past Nami to get on his way to work. Nami however, wasn’t even irritated by that and just fell into step next to him. And pulled him into the right direction for his bus stop, muttering about how useless Zoro’s was with directions.
„There are a lot of things I haven’t said“, she insisted and Zoro did the usual thing of blocking her out, when it became apparent that she going into yet another rant. Hearing Nami blame him for basically everything that ever went wrong was always his favorite start into the day. How Vivi managed to handle Nami all the time was beyond Zoro. (It really wasn’t, it was the same way he handled all of Sanji’s shit. Because they were in love.)
„Zoro!“, Nami screamed next to him and alerted the entire bus stop to their conversation. Luckily enough at this time in the morning, there were only five people there. Those five people however were going to get to show of their lives, if Nami’s annoyed expression was anything to go off. Zoro really hated his life, sometimes.
„What, witch?“, he inquired, trying to keep his voice down. Too bad, Nami didn’t care about their audience.
„You weren’t listening to a word I just said, were you?“
„I tend not to listen, when you go into rants.“ That was the single worst thing he could have possibly said. He realized that too late. He should learn how to think, before he opened his mouth.
„You wanna tell me, that I tried to fix your relationship with Sanji for months and you don’t even listen to me! You’re the worst“, Nami screeched, jabbing her finger into Zoro’s chest accusingly, looking like she was thinking about just ending him there and then.
„There is no relationship to fix!“ He got mad now, too. Because Nami had the audacity to imply that she was doing something for Zoro, when all she did was annoying and harassing him. She might have his best interests at heart, but she had to know she was going too far.
„There could be if you weren’t so damn - you!“ Using ‚you‘ as an insult was something only Nami could do this effectively. She always had a very special way of pissing Zoro off and right now she was doing everything in her might to get it done.
„Goddammit Nami, get it trough your head. I don’t want a relationship. I want consistently good sex, some good conversation and someone to take the edge of life.“
„You just described a relationship, dumbass!“  And she had the nerve to look triumphantly like this single thing had won her the entire argument. It hadn’t, Zoro was willing to continue. Unfortunately his bus chose that exact moment to arrive, so instead of going all out, he had to be happy with just throwing another I do not want a relationship at her.
„Yes, you do“, Nami sang and he would have loved to answer her, but the doors fell shut, giving Nami the last word. He already hated that day.
*
When he got back home, he had way too many texts from Nami, all reading as some variation of Call Sanji. He ignored them all, opened himself a beer from his fridge instead and turned on the TV. Mostly for background noise, he hadn’t properly watched TV in years. But he couldn’t have the silence right now, because it got him thinking and thinking always eventually led to Sanji. Thinking about Sanji was bad.
Because Sanji was way too great, really. And Zoro was a good-for-nothing.
Sanji was great. Getting trough what he got through in his childhood and making it out okay wasn’t easy. Not only did he make it out okay, he somehow saw all the worst things the world could throw at a child and instead of turning resentful, bitter or hateful, he became kind. He was always first to help people, he fed even strangers when they needed it and he did it with a smile.
And that was one kind of a smile. It lit up his whole face, without splitting it in two like Luffy’s tended to. It made Sanji really look like the sun. Sometimes, Zoro thought, he would be blinded if he looked for too long but at the same time he couldn’t seem to look away. Sanji was something to behold.
Zoro’s smiles were never that bright, he always looked like he smirked. Arrogant, someone even described it as cold once. Nothing to behold, nothing that would be hard to turn away from. Just same old Zoro. Nothing special.
Sanji also always managed to make himself useful, wherever he went. He brought food, or offered to cook, he helped to plan and execute events, kept an eye on everything going smoothly and then stayed afterwards to help clean up. He made the entire wedding cake for Robin’s wedding from scratch even refused to have her buy any ingredients. Zoro just showed up. Robin had actually seemed surprised that he wasn’t black-out drunk by nightfall.
Sanji was always so meticulous about his work tools, his knives and pots and whatnots. (Zoro had said something vaguely bad about it once, and Sanji had never talked about it to him again.) He loved his job, did it with a passion, he had ambitions. Zoro loved sword-fighting too and he would one day defeat the current champion, but it just wasn’t the same. Sanji wanted to feed people, Zoro wanted to be the very best swordsman. It was hard to compare those two.
Also Sanji always took such good care of himself. Zoro knew Sanji smelt like ocean salt and smoke, a very unique combination that was entirely Sanji’s own. When he came fresh out of the shower, the smell of lemons lingered in his hair. It made Zoro go wild. There were no marks on his body - not even the stupid little scars everyone had - his skin was like porcelain despite his childhood. Zoro knew it was soft to the touch, with many firm, defined muscles despite Sanji’s lean figure. By far the best thing were Sanji’s hands tho. They were soft like the rest of his body and if Zoro concentrated he could still feel them ghosting over his body, mapping it out carefully. God he had loved Sanji’s gentle touch.
In comparison, everything about Zoro was rough. He had more scars than he bothered to keep count of, both because he was constantly around swords and because he had been an especially stupid child. His skin wasn’t soft, he always had some bumps or bruises from training. His muscles were defined too, but they were big, making Zoro’s entire frame big. He was once described as intimidating. (That same person had described Sanji as friendly and approachable.)  His hands definitely weren’t soft. They were rough, with many callouses, that came from holding swords regularly since he’d been ten. He even smelled like sweat, most of the time.
He could see why someone - why Sanji - saw him as a good lay and nothing else.
*
Saturday morning, way too early on his free day, someone rang his doorbell. Very consistently. Probably Nami, Zoro thought and was still trying to get his sleepy brain to remember how to put the damn thing out, when said person started knocking on his door in addition to ringing the bell. So, no more sleep for him then.
He opened the door forcefully, fully prepared to give Nami a real piece of his mind for harassing him this early on a Saturday. He wished he would’ve never left the bed, when he saw Sanji, instead on Nami. Even though Sanji seemed about as angry as Nami usually was, not that that was of any help for Zoro.
„You’re an Asshole“, Sanji snapped at him, storming by him, to let himself into Zoro’s apartment. Zoro looked after him, helpless to do much else.
„You are the absolute worst!“, Sanji roared again, standing in the middle of Zoro’s living room. Zoro slowly closed his door and made his way towards Sanji.
„You want something to drink?“, he asked instead of reacting to Sanji’s accusations. Big mistake.
„The audacity! You avoid me for months and you don’t think you owe me an explanation!“
„I don’t?“, Zoro had wanted to state, but it came out more like a question. It riled Sanji up regardless.
„Do you know how long we’ve been doing this for? A year, Zoro. I sacrificed a whole goddamn year of my time and you decide to waste it without giving me a reason for that. I don’t even care if its a good reason anymore, but you owe me some kind of explanation.“
„The rules - your rules, said I don’t. We don’t owe each other shit“, he reminded Sanji, because honestly, Sanji could be mad about Zoro’s abrupt leave and blocking him and everything else if he wanted. But he didn’t get to be mad about Zoro sticking to the damn rules, like he insisted for weeks.
„Who even cares about rules at this stage? You wanna tell me you obeyed all the others?“
„I did“, Zoro lied easily, because lying about his feelings for Sanji was something he’d done for ages. It came naturally by now. Sanji however seemed shocked into silence, before his face fell and he lost the tension in his shoulders. He just seemed to fall into himself. Like the only thing holding him upright was anger and now that it was gone, he threatened to just fall over.
„There is someone else, right?“ No there wasn’t. There never has been and at this rate there never will be. But Zoro didn’t know how to express that, so he stayed silent. Sanji drew his own conclusion from that.
„I’m sorry for bothering you then.“ And with that Sanji vanished again, out of the apartment and out of Zoro’s life.
*
Nami came to visit him with a furiousity, Zoro had seen way too often in the past months. She abandoned it completely, when he opened the door with watery eyes.
„You need to talk with Sanji“, she said a few days later over coffee, „really talk. Not one of you dominating the conversation and the other barely getting a word in.“
„What makes you think he’ll talk to me again?“, Zoro asked, skeptical, stirring his coffee for the tenth time now.
„Leave it to me“, Nami offered, being more helpful, now that she abandoned the idea of screaming at him for everything he did and didn’t do. „I know how to get him to you. You just make sure you know what to say, when he’s there.“
So, Zoro got the hard part again.
*
„To be absolutely clear, I’m only here because Nami insisted I came“, Sanji said, instead of a greeting or maybe it was supposed to be his form of a greeting. Zoro’s nerves were way too tense, to focus on what Sanji might or might not mean. He just wanted to get this over with.
„I want to talk to you. Really talk. And if you still want to hate me afterwards, you may“, Zoro answered without bothering to respond to anything Sanji said before. He just needed to keep focus on his goal here, and then everything would be alright. (Or it wouldn’t but he would have tried and that was all that counted.)
„First, I am sorry for running that night. I should have listened to you. You wanna tell me what you wanted to tell me back then?“
„It doesn’t matter anymore“, Sanji spat, looking defiantly at Zoro and crossing his arms in front of his chest. Great, Zoro thought, this was already a less than ideal start.
„Okay, second. I didn’t end this thing, because there was someone else. There wasn’t, never has been. I had a good reason to end our arrangement but that wasn’t it.“
„I’m supposed to believe that?“, Sanji asked incredulous, giving Zoro a look that told him just how ridiculous Sanji thought he was right now. Why could the guy just not take things at face value?
„I am in love with someone“, Zoro admitted, for the sake of keeping Sanji there until he was finished, „but it wouldn’t lead to anything, anyway. So there is really no reason to end everything just because of that.“
„Youve tried telling them?“, Sanji implored and really Zoro hated that Sanji decided to focus on this and not on the more important matter. What did Sanji care if Zoro was in love, and if it was unrequited?
„No, I didn’t. Didn’t have to. He’s some really great guy, who deserves the world and I’m just -.“ He gestured vaguely at himself, hoping Sanji would understand what he tried to tell him. Sanji raised an eyebrow at that explanation, but stayed quiet otherwise.
„Anything else?“, Sanji asked impatient and Zoro tried to cram his head for something, anything to say. The only thing remaining was to tell Sanji about his feelings. At least that was the only thing that would probably get Sanji to stay and listen a little longer. Or it would drive him away permanently. This could go two ways, really.
Apparently, his decision took too long, so Sanji decided to speak instead: „Figures. Here’s the verdict: I hate you.“ And with that he turned his back towards Zoro, making his way back to the door, and Zoro knew he had lost him forever. There was no going back to what they were before.
„I know, but I love you and I can’t stop it no matter how hard I try“, Zoro said, because this whole thing was going up in flames anyway, so he might as well make sure nothing but ashes remained. Maybe it made a new start easier, if he knew none of the old things were save-able. And if Sanji wanted to vanish from his life for good, he should at least know the truth.
„This whole friends with benefits thing was doomed from start. I broke rule 1 before you even put it in place. I’m sorry for pulling you into this.“
„Not your fault. I let myself be pulled“, Sanji answered getting close to Zoro again before continuing, „maybe rule 1 was the most useless out of the bunch. You never obeyed it, and I failed it after barely a month, too. The only thing it managed to do, was tear us apart in the end.“
There was so much there to take in, things that would have to be discussed, but Zoro didn’t care. Because Sanji’s lips were on his again, finally, and his tongue did explore Zoro’s mouth like it was the first time again. He did this thing, were he pulled Zoro’s lower lip between his teeth and then bit lightly and Zoro was in heaven. He wanted to see Sanji naked again, he needed Sanji everywhere around him and on top of him, and he never ever wanted Sanji to leave again.
Sanji seemed to have the same things in mind

Potato peeling
I shared one of my head canons with Monkey-d-momo and then the next day it kind of spiralled out of control in my head, to the point where I had to leave my half-destroyed Animal Crossing island to come and write this out. So, this is for you, Momo!
Summary: Sanji's had never had an assistant before, but now, at least once a week, Nami's there to keep him company. Rating: K.
This can also be found on AO3 and FFN.
Enjoy.
Sanji made a point not to think too deeply about his childhood before Baratie, but now he’s racking his brain in search for a time, any time, that he could ever remember having an assistant in the kitchen. Not other chefs that were working around him on their own dishes or bus boys or dish washers, someone by his side just to help him. Although, when he thought about it, back then he would have refused the help, with his ego far too proud as a fledging chef.
He spent a lot of time alone cooking and there’s nothing wrong with that, it’s what he was trained to do, and he enjoyed it. Enjoyed creating dishes that’ll fill empty stomachs and watching as delight bloomed across his crewmates face when they took their first bite. But now, as Nami hummed next to him, eyebrows drawn together in concentration as she stirred the sauce in the pot, he realised how much he liked having an assistant. How much he liked having the company.
It also helped that it was fantastic company. Nothing gets better than Nami-san.
The first time she’d walked in to offer help, he’d tried to persuade her to relax instead, in the kitchen of course because he’d never turn her away, but she hadn’t listened. She’d fixed him with a hard stare as his words rolled over her and held her hand out, waiting for a knife to help him peel potatoes.
That was a few weeks ago now, and he’s glad she didn’t listen to him. His kitchen is now filled with humming, quiet conversations or peaceful silences- with someone. It’s nice. It’s not every day, after all she’s the navigator, not the cook and she does have other responsibilities. But those little moments together, at least once per week now, made him start to notice the difference. Nothing bad, he still loved to cook but there’s no one peering over his shoulder to see what he’s doing or how he’s doing it (or asking for food- Luffy) or shooting him wonderfully smart remarks that bring a smile to his face or… well, he could go on all day.
They get along very well in those small moments together, when they’re not fighting for their lives or surrounded by the rest of the crew and it makes him happy. He got to see her truly relaxed, walls down, and their actions are almost domestic, and it made his head spin slightly. He tried not to think too much about that though when he’s dealing with sharp objects or high temperatures.
But he does wonder what spurred this on, the thought lingered in the back of his head. Her offer came completely out of the blue and they’d already been sailing together for so long, so naturally he wondered why. She’d never offered any explanation and he hadn’t asked, because why would he? He was thrilled to have time alone with her and to pass on his knowledge to someone who was so interested.
She hadn’t helped him tonight though, not that she said she would, mind you. Sometimes she’d mention in passing that she’d be there but other times she’d just appear, and it kept him on his toes.
After dinner though, as she put her plate on the side (just before he could get it for her), she left him with a quick, “See you later” and was gone. Maybe he was becoming too predictable because whilst dinner may be finished with, she knew he would occasionally prep ingredients for the next day and apparently, he’d have her company for that tonight without even breathing a word of it.
He couldn’t wait.
.
.
.
As much as he’d like to wait for her, that’s never how this worked. Sometimes she’d come later, depending on whether she got held up with something, so he always started, and she’d join in.
Tonight, he went to the toilet after organising the potatoes he’d need for the next day but on his short trip he didn’t catch sight of her. That wasn’t necessarily bad, but it could mean she’d been distracted with something. It was foolish, because he knew how this worked and he shouldn’t expect this from her, but he was slightly disappointed. He shook his head; he was being ridiculous.
Despite giving himself a talking to in the toilet, it didn’t stop his eyes from drifting to see if the orange haired navigator was around. He was sorely tempted to knock on the library door to offer her a drink, just to confirm it but he stopped his feet from wondering off course.
So when he pushed open the door to the kitchen, he couldn’t stop his jaw from dropping to stare at the sight of Nami already sat down on one of the stools, knife carefully peeling the potato in her hands.
So, she’d beaten him here, huh?
He didn’t get the chance to compose himself before she was looking up and her lips curled upwards, like she could read his thoughts.
“You’re slacking, Sanji-kun. I thought you’d abandoned me to peel potatoes all by myself,” she teased.
He smiled then. “Never, Nami-san. The day that happens I’d forfeit my own hands.”
She smiled back at him and they settled into comfortable silence as he sat on the stool opposite her, taking the knife she’d left out for him and grabbing a potato. There’s something relaxing about doing this. The same sweeps of the knife almost sent him into a trance and all the stress of the day bleeds from him as his mind wondered. He’d never found potato peeling a chore. It anything, he looked forward to the monotony of it.
He’s not sure how long they peel in the quiet of the kitchen, but he almost jumped as Nami started to quietly talk.
“The first time I offered to help, it was because I missed Bell-mére,” she said it softly and it should sound sad, but she sounded soft instead. “She used to get me peeling the potatoes when I had nothing to do or thought I’d studied for too long.”
Ah. Well, that answered one of Sanji’s questions. There was something quite special about not having to ask after the reason but being told instead. She wasn’t always very forthcoming about her childhood and he’d never blamed her; he hadn’t been either. It’s why he never enquired.
“You should have seen the first time I’d ever done it; you’d have turned in your grave. There was almost nothing left by the time it’d been peeled and I’d somehow managed to cut myself multiple times,” she continued, chuckling to herself and dropped a perfectly peeled potato into the steel bucket before moving onto the next one. “She hadn’t been angry though. Well, she had at my cut fingers, but she stopped what she was doing to show me how to peel the carrots next.”
“I’m not surprised she wasn’t angry. I can’t imagine being angry with you now, let alone when you were younger.” It was the truth; it was no secret that he was soft around children and he’d seen first-hand a young Nami- she was adorable. He’d have stood no chance.
Still doesn’t.
“What about you?” She asked tentatively, eyes flickering up to his, unsure about whether this was a topic that she should broach. That she could breach.
Sanji smiled lightly and answered with ease, his voice filled with fondness at the memory. “My Mum thought the world of whatever I made. Some of it was truly horrible, Nami-san, I’d had no training whatsoever apart from some tatty books and the opinions of mice.”
“I find that hard to believe- about being a horrible cook, that is. Feeding mice I’m totally on board with.”
He picked up another potato before he responded, “It’s true! There were pieces of eggshells in it, it was overcooked, yet also undercooked because I hadn’t set the oven properly.” There was a firm smile on his face though, despite the description he was giving.
“I sense this didn’t deter her,” she guessed, pausing the potato peeling as she waited for his response.
He laughed. “Not at all. She still boasted to the nurses and handmaids whenever she had the chance and when I was leaving, she’d tell me to bring some more next time.”
“Ah. So that’s where you get your kind heart from.” She nodded to herself, like she’d solved a piece of her own puzzle.
He tried to keep his cool, but he couldn’t stop the blush that bloomed across his cheeks. Instead of responding to that, he decided to continue on.
“On the cruise ship I worked on before Baratie, I was passable at best, but definitely better than the rest of the chefs. The real wakeup call was when I got to Baratie. Zeff was horrified by the bad habits I’d picked up and spent all his time picking on me.”
“Like what?” At his blank look she clarified, “How did he pick on you?”
“Ragging on me in front of staff and customers. To be fair, I probably needed to be taken down a peg or too. I couldn’t be told back then. Oh, and that damned peg leg, hurt like hell,” he groaned, recalling the way Zeff had kicked him when he’d wanted to throw away fresh food. “The worst, though, was the nickname- little eggplant. That’ll haunt me to my dying day. He had no tact, the damn old man, and he’d call me it regardless of who was around. Even the regulars knew of it.”
“Fatherly love, then,” she summarised, an affectionate smile on her face.
Sanji laughed but nodded his head. “Unfortunately so.”
They continued on like that, trading stories back and forth from their childhood. Not always revolving around cooking in Nami’s case, but small things, like the time she’d convinced Nojiko to let her cut in a fringe and her sister had wound up with a mullet until it grew out or how Sanji had singed his hair trying to show off around the oven.
The pile of unpeeled potatoes started to dwindle as the bucket with peeled potatoes filled up. Sanji was so lost in conversation that he hadn’t noticed until they were both reaching in for the last potato and as they both look at each other and down to the last potato, he felt a competitive thrill go through him. He managed to snag the potato just before she could, but she didn’t look sour about it, so he took that as a sign to crack on.
There were no more potatoes to peel but Nami still stayed sitting with him.
“So, what made you stick around?” It was ballsy and he was risking scaring her off, but it’s the one thing she hadn’t freely given during their conversation and he really wanted to know. To finally scratch the itch of curiosity.
Nami doesn’t respond straight away, she fiddled with the knife in her hands and it’s only for a second, but it felt like a lifetime to Sanji. He was holding his breath, waiting for some form of reaction from her.
She breathed out and finally looked at him. “I realised I enjoyed spending time with you.”
That’s not the explanation he’d expected. At all.
He has to fight down the urge to sputter off nonsense, it would not win him her favour. “I enjoy spending time with you too.”
“I didn’t doubt that for a second,” she said, her voice playful.
There’s a clever smile on her face and as much as he enjoyed that, he wanted her to know he was serious. He enjoyed her company.
“I’m serious,” he hummed, not looking up from the final potato he’s peeling, and he might need to long this one out, just to keep himself busy, so he didn’t chicken out. “I’ve always enjoyed cooking, but you’ve only made it better with your company. I’ve never had an assistant before, but I’m glad it was you.”
Nami’s flushed and she looked like she was struggling on how to respond. He wondered if he’d gone too far. It’s not how he’d planned this evening to go and it’s clearly not what she’d intended either. Yet here they were.
“Because I’m a woman or…” She trailed off and the silent ‘because it’s me’ is left in the air, but they both know it’s there.
She’s watching his face carefully and he doesn’t know what to make of that. It felt like he was balancing on a tight rope and any wrong answer will have him plummeting without a safety net to catch him. The last thing he wanted to do was make her uncomfortable or put an end to their occasional kitchen activities together.
It almost sounded like a confession when he finally spoke, and he supposed it was.
“Because it’s you,” he said, his voice sure and face even.
The tension in the room increased tenfold and it felt like he needed to use one of the knifes to cut at it. It’s diffused instantly when Nami smiled softly at him and it sent his heart racing.
The next second she’s up on her feet, leaving their potato peeling bubble, like nothing happened. “We need to put these in water and into the fridge, right?”
“Yeah,” he replied breathlessly, stunned by the sudden shift. What had even just happened?
She walked into the kitchen, pulling out a much smaller container and filling it with water. She turned and raised an eyebrow as he’s still sitting there. He realised a beat later that she’s waiting for him to follow after her with the potatoes. Who was the professional chef here? He was on his feet in seconds before he could be prompted any further and they fall back into their normal pace, like nothing had happened.
… Had anything happened? He’s going to need some time alone to replay this scene and figure it out.
As soon as he’s done putting the potatoes away safely in the bottom of the fridge, ready for tomorrow, Nami’s done washing up the knives they’d used and then it’s just them, alone in the kitchen.
Nami’s leaning against the kitchen unit, arms folded and looking at him expectantly, because she doesn’t look like she’s leaving anytime soon. It made him nervous and he resisted the urge to play with his hands.
“Thank you for your help, Nami-san,” he said gratefully, and he really meant it. He hoped she knew that, that it came across.
“Anytime, Sanji-kun.” She pushed away from the counter to walk towards him and he’s frozen, watching her get closer and closer until he had to tilt his head down to keep looking at her face.
Her hands are on his tie and he realised after a beat that she’s adjusting it. He’d loosened it earlier, like he always did this late at night and she knew that too. He wondered if this was an excuse to touch him, but he squashed that thought down as quickly as it appeared. Maybe it just looked weird.
Her hands are warm and as she played with his tie, they brush against his chest and it sent his heart into fits.
When she looked up at him, seemingly happy with the end result, and she’s so close that he could count the fair freckles that litter her nose if he wanted to. And he really wanted to, but he’s distracted by the way her eyes are searching his. She looked expectant and he didn’t know what to do with that. Or what she wanted.
Nami lingered, her hands still clasping his tie lightly but resting against his chest idly and he’s stopped breathing because it’s all slightly overwhelming and he didn’t want the moment to break before he figured out what he’s supposed to be doing. The voice in the back of his head is screaming at him to ‘make a move, you idiot’, but he can’t bring himself to act on it. What if he’s wrong? What if he’s building this up to be something bigger than it actually is?
There’s another long moment where he can practically feel her breath on his face before she’s pulling away and he’s instantly regretting not acting on what the voice had told him because he felt like he’d just missed his moment.
The smirk on her face made him wonder if that’s not the case at all.
She released his tie and patted his chest before taking a step back. He missed the closeness already.
“Goodnight, Sanji,” she said lowly and then she’s turning around, walking towards the door.
The door swung closed behind her and for the first time in hours, he’s left alone in the kitchen. The scent of her perfume is still under his nose and the skin under his shirt burned from where she’d touched him.
He’s not sure what’s just happened. From the atmosphere to her new behaviour, he’s left reeling trying to catch up. He doesn’t want to get his hopes up, but this seemed to be a new development… towards something.
But right now, it’s late and his brains just turned to mush, so he’s not figuring it out now. He just hoped he could get his mind to settle down enough that he’d be able to actually sleep.
He flicked the kitchen light off behind him.
------------------------------------------
So. The tiny little drabble this was supposed to be has now turned into a two part-er. I messaged Momo when I’d almost finished writing the first part and gave her two possible endings to choose from when this was originally a one-shot. Momo picked one and my brain betrayed me (and my other WIPs) by going ‘do both’. So here we are.
The second part is almost finished- I’m aiming for it to be up in a week max.
Please excuse any errors.
Thanks for reading.
