It had been a tiring day for Ao’nung. Between hunting, helping his mother with her duties and teaching those dreaded Sully kids how to live in the water, he was exhausted. All he wanted to do was to crawl into your arms and doze off.

You resided in your marui a section closed off with a sheer netting fabric that acted as a makeshift curtain. Laying in the hammock that was hung in the corner of your room, you slowly swung yourself listening to the sound of the ocean, enjoying the serenity your empty marui had.

Ao’nung saw you so peaceful his heart melted. You looked so beautiful. So beautiful the way your hair wrapped around your shoulder and the way your chest rose softly.

“Hey flower.” He said softly moving the curtain aside to enter the room you were in. You sat up smiling at your boyfriend who stood in front of you.

“Come.” You motioned him to lay in the hammock with you, scooting carefully to make enough space for the two of you to lay together.

Ao’nung followed and laid on the hammock, the course fabric digging into his skin as he laid on your chest as a pillow. His other hand snaked around your waist to bring you closer to him, almost so your skin could meld together.

“Was it a long day?” You questioned him, running your hand up and down his chest, tracing undetermined patterns with your fingers.

“Mhm.” He hummed caressing the spot where he held your waist with his thumb. “Was tiring.”

You nodded, listening to his breathing, watching his chest rise and fall as he stared at where his hands were. Leaving a tender kiss on his forehead as your fingers ran up and down his sternum.

“You should rest well tonight then.”

A tender kiss to your shoulder was made before he looked into your eyes. “I’m sure to rest well when you’re here with me.” A soft giggle was let out in response to his endearing words.

Ao’nung let himself listen to your heartbeat, it was slow a calming pounding that was lulling him to sleep. He let his hands run down to the space between your thigh and hip, laying soft touches onto the area as he caressed you.

“Those Sully kids really suck in the water.”

You chuckled giving a soft push on the shoulder.

“Be nicer to them, being cruel is a bad look.”

“Only cause you said so.”

You chuckled as he scrunched his face up at the thought of being kind to them.

“If you frown any more, your face will get stuck.” Now Ao’nung was the one giving you a light push, his scowl transforming into a bright smile.

“Y’know, Ao’nung you’re a lot cuter when you let your soft side show.”

“Well, it only exists because of you.” A blush formed on your face as Ao’nung begun to tease you about getting all flustered.

“Look my little flower is all flustered!” He poked your hot cheeks as you grabbed his hands to stop him.

“Stoppp” You whined, your face lighting up. “Do not tease me.”

“I’m not, just loving banter.”

“Oh, shut up”

Ao’nung chuckled before scooting upwards to meet you face to face. He admired your features, you were truly beautiful to him. You were his flower.

He brought the hand that rested on your hip up to your chin guiding it up to look at him. He felt your love radiate off you into him and you felt the same. Pupils wide and chests rising in anticipation, Ao’nung pulled you towards his lips.

He softly kissed you, lips meeting together, connecting like puzzle pieces. Your lips were soft against his as he used his other hand to caress the small of your back pushing you closer into him. Your hands travelled up and down his chest, eyes squished hard together as you enjoyed the feeling of Ao’nung’s lips on yours.

As the air between you ran out, Ao’nung broke from your kiss and stared into you. The air thick and soft pants exiting both of you.

“I love you my flower.”

"We're not the Kardashians, Harry."

He resists the urge to roll his eyes as Y/N shoots down another one of his name suggestions, using the ball-point pen to scratch the words out on his list. She glances down at her phone and purses her lips.

"Okay, my next suggestion was May."

"That's cute," Harry murmurs, "Although, I had a cat when I was little named May. She got rabies because we found her on the street. It was kind of traumatizing if I'm being honest."

Immediately, Y/N deletes the name May from her list.

"Do you have any other good ones?" she asks as she leans forward to grasp the cup of tea Harry made her when she got to his place. She's still struggling with not drinking coffee, even though it's been months since she stopped. Harry insists that green tea is a good substitute, but so far, she doesn't believe him.

"I feel like you'll hate the ones I have left," he replies, peering up at her. She shrugs, a silent response of try me. "Alright, the last few that I came up with are: Noel—"

"Cute, but I think it's too Christmas-y."

"—Holly—"

"Are you just really into Christmas-themed names?"

"And Clementine."

She pauses. He can see the gears turning in her brain as she contemplates it, the pad of her finger running over the rim of the ceramic mug in her hands.

"I think I really like that, actually," she says softly. "Clementine. It's sweet."

Harry nods, a jolt of energy firing through him. "Yeah, I was thinking we could call her Clemmie or Clem for short. I don't know, thought it was unique."

"It is," she agrees, her left hand finding her bump, "Are you our little Clementine?"

He smiles. "And I know we decided she'd have Styles as a last name, but I was thinking, since you've always loved having the name middle name as your sister, maybe we could give her the same one. Or maybe the same one as your niece."

Y/N swallows, attempting to get rid of the lump in her throat as she nods quickly. They'd decided on carrying the Styles last name on with her a few months back — she didn't feel very strongly about them all having the same last name, explaining that she would always be her mother regardless of whether or not they shared that. (Harry couldn't agree more.) But she'd only mentioned once or twice that she thought her niece's middle name was adorable, and she liked her family tradition of keeping middle names the same. When she and her sister were younger, it always felt like this little connection they had that no one else did.

"Grace, right?" Harry asks, breaking her out of her thoughts. "Your niece's middle name?"

She nods, "Yeah, Grace."

"Clementine Grace Styles."

"I like it," she says quickly, unable to ignore the tears clouding her waterline, "It's pretty. I really like it."

"Me too. I think Grace fits perfectly."

They stare at each other for a moment, the gravity of finally giving her a name settling in. She's no longer this little nameless fruit floating around in her tummy (although Harry still provided weekly updates on her size — currently, she's a cantaloupe, which is slightly terrifying for Y/N to conceptualize).

"Do you mind if I...?"

Even with the boundaries they've broken, nearing "couple" territory as opposed to platonic co-parenting, he's still extremely cautious of Y/N's boundaries. He never wants to make her feel uncomfortable, especially because he knows she's been on the receiving end of some awful side effects.

But, even if it's a secret she keeps to herself, she really adores when she gets to lay back and watch him talk to her belly.

She nods at his open-ended question and settles against the cozy pregnancy pillow he bought months ago. Gently, he flips her sweater up and presses a chaste kiss right above her belly button, making her shiver.

"We can't wait to meet you, Clementine Grace," he mumbles lowly, "Please give your mummy an easy time for the next two months, okay? She's getting really tired, but she's been so strong. She even lets me sing to you without pushing me away."

Y/N snorts and Harry glances up with a small smile. She raises her eyebrows expectedly, encouraging him to continue.

You are not by any means alone. And even in adulthood. Those of us grownups who are single often find ourselves lamenting the “loss” of a friend who is in a néw relationship. That friend is still our friend but her time is suddenly drastically limited. My best friend who was single for 12 years was my constant companion. Now she’s finally found love and two years in I’ve spent a total of maybe 6 hours with her. And it’s never just her and I. It’s only in group gatherings. It’s sad and hard to say the least. It’s feeling lonely even as I try to let other friends step in. The space she occupied will always be hers.

High school. College. Youthful friend groups tend to be much wider and less static. A constant refreshing of new love interests and I do remember those who dates feeling very intense emotions both at the start and end of such couplings. When you’re the single one you never the priority to others because they are expending so much time and energy to the mostly futile attempt to make fleeting romances work out. You don’t require energy since they assume (albeit unconsciously) you will just be there. Which is not fair. Friendship requires attention.

Sometimes we just have to toss ourselves into our own joys. Go to things you love alone. Have coffee. Enjoy a meal. Don’t sequester yourself to the internet to find connections. Be okay with you. Eventually others wil come in your life.

Do not date just to not be alone. Being miserable in a relationship is worse than just staying single and loving time with yourself.

I won’t lie and tell you loneliness will just abate. But I can say it won’t be forever. And friends will evolve and shift your entire life. You take all the good things. And bad from each one into the next and learn who and what enhances your life the most.

Moon Carver and Mountain Shaper are the comedic duo i did not anticipate, but the moment they did their dialogue to distract Gaming, I couldn't stop cackling. Please, they're both stupidly hilarious! THE DUST THEY WERE MAKING AS THEY RAN WAS SO COMICAL. I love their npc looking asses lmaaaooooo

Zhongli randomly appearing surprised me! But you know what surprised me even more? XIAO (the amount of screenshots I took when he appeared...). I am absolutely sure Zhongli went all the way to Wangshu just to get Xiao to meet with him. We gotta appreciate Zhongli managing to get Xiao to consider visiting him more (pls visit Zhongli more often Xiao)

Another comedic duo I did not expect are Shenhe and Xianyun! Words didn't come easy to Arnav. Especially emotional words. With Anjai,with years of practice, he learnt, but with khushi he was in total dark.I doubt that Arnav had ever any need to use word to be with his previous girlfriends.So, right after that unjust alligation of everything being khushi's fault and usage of the contact to stop her from leaving him, all there relationship needed was 'RIGHT WORDS' to repair.But Arnav was unable to use them.Words Arnav used to hurt her, but couldn't use it to heal her? shame on you, Arnav.But I will give him 10 kudos for trying to understand what khushi needed and 100 kudos for keep trying relentlessly until he succeeded.And khushi was not forthcoming with information also, so more 10 kudos for Arnav.

Arnav was learning slowly slowly what khushi wanted by trial & error method. That dynamic of them post kidnapping is in a word intersting and unlike any other that we see in other dramas.As I am in the topic of communication, Here are some of my favourite scenes where poor Arnav bitwa trying to understand and communicate with his sanka devi and fullfilling her 'dil ki armaan'.

Like in khushi's birthday, Arnav did all the things but not what khushi really wanted. And he listened. He succeeded like 5% of required goal,coz to achieved 100% khushi needed to be awake.but it's alright,that's progress.Like Arnav said 'she was sleeping, it's her problem'😂

Here I'll give Arnav some kudos coz khushi just expressed her desire for a simple 'happy birthday' but Arnav came to her with a rose picked from her mother's garden, as a compensation of not being able to wish her properly. When dadi came and Khushi couldn't understanding the tension between Arnav and dadi,she said she felt like she didn't know him at all. So he listened to her and fulfilled her wish.He bared his heart and soul to her.

“Chuyan! It’s so good to see you! What are you doing here?”  

The little girl munched on the end of her pigtail. “Why you no come over anymore? Daddy’s soooo sad without you. At night, he watches your video on his ipad and gets mad when I ask where you are.”

Your breath caught in your throat. “Is your d-daddy here?”  

You hadn’t seen Renjun in four months, ever since he dumped you for not being “marriage material”. As much as you hated to admit it, Renjun was the one great love of your life. When you broke up, you didn’t just lose him, you lost Chuyan too.  

“He’s over there. Come, I take you.” The bossy four-year-old grabbed your hand and pulled you towards a corner table with surprising strength. 

You spotted Renjun. He was sat at the table, typing furiously away at his laptop. A flood of emotions rushed through your body when you saw him: regret, anger, but most of all… longing.  

When Renjun heard his daughter’s voice, he shut his laptop and looked up, smiling.  

Then he saw you, and the smile dropped off his face. 

Renjun was more handsome than you’d last saw him. He’d cropped his hair short, which made him look older, more mature. But his lips – pink and pump – showed his youth. When you were together, you’d kiss him for hours.  

Yet, when you looked closer, his eyes were shadowed with tiredness, and his face was pinched. It only added to his rugged attractiveness, but you worried for him. 

“Y/n! It’s… it’s you.” After speaking, Renjun’s mouth hovered half open, like he’d forgotten how to close it. He stood up abruptly, chair stuttering across the floor. 

Your heart twisted painfully in your chest. Seeing Renjun up close made you realise how much you’d really missed him. 

You both stood awkwardly for a few moments, staring. It was weird seeing Renjun in real life; he’d become a face in memories, photographs. His solid realness, his body taking up space in that tiny café, was a shock to you.  

Thankfully, Chuyan came to the rescue, ending the silence. 

She tugged your hand. “Sit down! Daddy’s ordering hot choccys.”  

You hesitated. Your eyes met Renjun’s. He nodded. You sat down.  

Renjun cleared his throat. “You… cut your hair?” 

You ran your fingers through the spiky ends of your hair, blushing.  

Renjun smiled. “I like it short.”  

You blushed. 

Renjun’s eyes widened, like he’d over-stepped his place.

Chyuan clapped her hands together. “I like it too! You need to come back, Y/n. Daddy can’t do my hair like you can. Look how wonky my pigtails are!”  

Renjun ruffled his daughter’s hair, laughing. “Hey, you. I try!” 

“Daddy said you can’t see us no more coz you’re too busy with work. Daddy said you broke his heart. 

Your mouth fell open in shock. Your mind flashed back to that cold winter morning when Renjun said you weren’t serious enough to be his wife. You begged him not to leave you. But still, he walked out/

Renjun cleared his throat. “Chu, why don’t you go and play with the kittens. Let me and Y/n talk for a bit.”

Chuyan nodded and ran off. 

Renjun slid onto the bench beside you. Up close, you could see that his cheeks were burning. 

“I had to make up an excuse for why we broke up. It was just… easier to make you the bad guy. I’m sorry, Y/n.” 

“It’s okay. If I had a kid, I would have done the same.” 

Renjun gazed at you with such intensity, you almost felt shy. “No, Y/n. You wouldn’t have. And that’s what makes you so special.” 

Renjun took a deep breath. “I’m sorry about the way we ended things. I was the one being immature, not you. If I could do it again, I would have treated you better.”

You suddenly realised how close his face was to yours. How close his lips were. They looked different, softer, from this distance. Like you could kiss them.  

You remembered the way those lips would tighten when he was angry at you, in all those final, bitter arguments. You gulped.  

Renjun looked at you, his gaze never faltering. “My daughter really likes you, you know.” You swore you could see his whole body trembling, like a leaf in the breeze. He tried, unsuccessfully, to sound casual. “She really wants you to come… home.”

“And what about you, Renjun?” Your said, your voice thick. “Do you want me home?”

Renjun looked down, and for a second, you felt your heart sink. Maybe you were reading this all wrong. Maybe he didn’t actually want you.  

“I do, Y/n. I want you back.” 

That was all you needed to hear. You closed the space between you, mouths meeting like they were made for each other. Renjun’s lips moulded against yours, cola-flavoured, and mind-blowingly soft. 

Your hands smoothed over his strong shoulders, gripped his soft hair, not believing that it was really him. You didn’t know you were in a café anymore. Hell, you could have been on Mars, and you wouldn’t notice. 

Each part of him was exactly as you remembered. He smelled warm and homely. His arms held you like you could fall into him. Your first kiss, the first time he accidentally called you his girlfriend, all the times he stood up for you… the memories flashed through your mind, each one precious. 

“YAAY!” 

The piercing shriek of a four year old made you jolt apart. But the taste of Renjun stayed on your lips… the tingle of his skin on your fingers.

Renjun wiped his lips, sticky with your gloss, and turned to his daughter. 

“Everything okay, baby?” he asked her, still breathless. 

Unable to keep the happiness confined in her tiny body, Chuyan had to shriek to let it out. 

“Are you getting back with daddy?” She asked, chubby hands clasped in front of her chest.

You glanced at Renjun, who was trying not to smile. 

“Would you like that, Chu?” you said. 

“Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes!” Chuyan jumped into the space between you and Renjun. She wrapped her arms around you both, bringing your faces close together. 

You looked at Renjun. He winked.  

You hadn’t forgiven him just yet. But you knew one thing - a life without your beloved Renjun and Chuyan wasn’t a life at all.
