After missing his flight back to Seoul, a disillusioned K-pop idol finds love, acceptance, and the strength to fight for his own happiness at last.
As a member of the internationally beloved K-pop group Apollo, Eunjae has learned firsthand that fame and fortune come at a steep price. But leaving it all behind is easier said than done, and it seems Eunjae has no choice but to continue… until he steps through the orange door at Wanna Waffle on the way to the airport, fails to catch his plane to Seoul, and upends his entire existence.
Jiyeon and her family don’t know the truth about this quiet, handsome stranger who stumbled into their restaurant. Regardless, it’s clear that he needs them. And the longer he stays, the more Eunjae realizes that he might just be willing to trade the adoration of millions for home, family, and even one chance at true love. But his powerful entertainment agency will never let him go without a fight, and Apollo’s fate hangs in the balance along with his own. If Eunjae hopes to win, he must stand his ground and fight back — not only for himself, but for the brothers who have loved and supported him all this time.
Brimming with warmth, waffles, and too many brothers, This Place is Magic will resonate with any reader searching for a comforting escape. Debut author Irene Te delivers a cozy contemporary read interwoven with found family and gentle romance. Step through that orange door for a heartfelt, hilarious, and irrepressibly hopeful journey of self-discovery, perfect for fans of Axie Oh and Jenny Han.

What's the next book you're planning to start? Mine is Unspeakable by Abbie Rushton. It's a story about a girl called Megan who hasn't spoken for a long time because there are secrets she has to keep. She wants to find her voice again but she doesn't know how. When a new girl starts in her class, it just might be the help that Megan needs.

Puppylove - Chapter 1 (on Wattpad)
A vampire arrives in a small town in Kentucky USA and gets swept up in the small town drama. He befriends a human teenage girl and partly due to this, the local werewolf family sends their eldest son to monitor him. The son is hella cute though, and fun to be around... Bonus: A fairytale-style short story of a dog and a cook who cooks for the dog.
A cozy romance novella
This is a 1st draft and so subject to minor changes, though that shouldn’t affect your enjoyment.

If you love the Gilmore Girls this is the book series for you. This was the sweetest, most ridiculously fun romance. I loved the silliness and the seriousness and everything about this book. The Sunday’s are simply the best!
Honestly I don’t even know where to begin with this one because I loved everything. Even the miscommunication parts. I loved the ridiculousness of Webb and Luke accidentally getting hand fasted (aka: engaged) and having to complete silly tasks together. I loved that Webb was a single father not really looking for a relationship, having a bisexual awakening later in life, and falling in love. But also, Luke is literal sunshine! He’s always trying to put a positive spin on things, even in the midst of life’s challenges. I also loved that the whole town saw that these two were meant to be together and started meddling and rooting for them like there was no tomorrow. It was just so sweet and too ridiculousness not to fall in love with.
Hand Picked just made my heart so happy. It made me laugh and smile more times than I can count and I can’t wait to get my hands on the next book! This one is getting a solid five stars.

#ARC #CharlotteIllesIsNotADetective by #KatieSiegel #NetGalley #CozyMystery #LGBT #Humor #Contemporary #BookReview #KensingtonBooks
Imagine being a teen sleuth like #NancyDrew but grow up and want to move past that? For #CharlotteIlles, it's not that easy. #KatieSiegel #NetGalley #BookReview #kensingtonbooks #cozymystery #teensleuth #teendetective #June2023Books #newbooks #ARCReview
As a kid, Charlotte Illes’ uncanny sleuthing abilities made her a minor celebrity. But in high school, she hung up her detective’s hat and stashed away the signature blue landline in her “office”—aka garage—convinced that finding her adult purpose would be as easy as tracking down missing pudding cups or locating stolen diamonds. Now twenty-five, Charlotte has a nagging fear that she hit her peak…

Every Time I Go on Vacation, Someone Dies by Catherine Mack
Every Time I Go on Vacation, Someone Dies by Catherine Mack was a library find. It is my first, and most DEFINITELY the last, book from the author. It is in theory a cozy mystery. I will also never read anything by this author under her other publishing name of Catherine McKenzie. I’m just going to be upfront, this book is utter trash. So much so that I VLOG’d the reading experience. The…

Review: A Carriage of Misjustice (Lindenshaw Mysteries Book 5) by Charlie Cochrane
Rating: 3.5🌈 It’s been a while since I’d read this series, the last book I read being Old Sins. And I think coming back into a series after a long break and diving in at book 5 just highlights the importance of perhaps going back to the beginning and rereading the series again. Particularly with A Carriage of Misjustice because of some of the things I found within the novel ‘s narrative , and…

BOOK REVIEW: CAMPFIRES AND CANINES BY ALY HOLLIS
⭐⭐⭐⭐💫
TROPES
Fated Mates
Found Family
Touch Her and Die
Everything I love about paranormal romance was on full display here. We have a FMC, Hazel, who has just come off several big life-changing events and needs some time to decompress away from the rest of the world. And now she’s being exposed to another huge thing while also feeling a connection to her father’s right hand man, Slate, while also handling some of the most intense situations ever.
Part of what I love about the paranormal romances I’ve read up to this point is that they are never lacking in action. This book was no different, and kept me turning each page wondering what would happen next and how our MCs would handle it. I won’t spoil it, but anything that can happen does, and it is a rollercoaster to see how everyone makes it out unscathed.
I particularly love how the author set up the conflict. It lulls you into thinking you’ve already met who the MMC is, or that maybe there’s going to be a super intense love triangle, but instead, you are greeted to something else entirely when all the pieces fall into place. Honestly, all the little casual hints to major plot shifts were great, because while I initially overlooked most of them as nothing, it was a great moment when my brain caught up with what they actually were.
I had to stop what I was previously reading to read this one because I couldn’t stop thinking about it. Will I read the second book in the series this weekend? Extremely likely. Do I need my own physical copy ASAP? Yes.
