I lived bitch 😎🤙
While not as fun as last inventory, this one went smoother imo bc it was just 2-3 people putting in the info and everyone else counting for us
Had a nice little reunion and saw BratBoy and Cute But Antimasker, both still live up to their nicknames lmao and we saw the lady who used to work 4am crew with us which was nice. I met the lady who recovers for me and while I had the one chance to tell her heyyy stop pushing the clothes back away from the table/how to properly zone, I didnt bc I'm a chickenshit coward and she was really nice so I'd have felt really really bad like "heyyy we're vibing, all's well, hey while I have you here... you're doing your job wrong."
But she did say that I'm working miracles in my area sgdgdgdgd which felt nice. Someone else had to recover my area while we counted a diff table and they nearly had a meltdown and walked off which was funny bc I've only seen one other person work my area and not have that reaction and it was RC, yknow who worked that area before I came along sgdggdgdg
Me: the kids table is where the weak go to die and if you survive it, it becomes your domain... unfortunately. I'm in purgatory"
Had shitty (cold) raising caines chicken for our corporate provided meal and it was a major letdown 😒 last year we had subs and while I usually hate sandwiches, it was pretty good
Oh and thank god I went in with RC at 3 instead of what I was scheduled at (6) bc whooo boy did she need me (and there was no one else with a sign on for the system so she needed me to be able to enter shit and not have to share a sign on which can muck things up
Anyway I'm glad that's only a once a year thing bc my body really cant handle 8hr shifts unfortunately :(

amarin heavenly thai, mid valley.
was craving for thai food some time last month, and found this thai restaurant which has been there forever, but i have never been to. we visited quite late after peak lunch hour but the restaurant is still quite full, which is a good sign.
the menu has quite a lot of dishes to pick from, most of them is good for sharing, with a few options as single portion dishes. we ordered steamed squid in lime sauce, pandan chicken and clear seafood tomyam soup to share and iced lemon tea to drink. the white rice is kinda free flow which is good because thai dishes always go so well with rice.
the squid is really good, the sourish spicy clear soup is very appetizing and the taste is quite addictive. the texture is bouncy and very enjoyable to eat. pandan chicken is quite big for each piece, smells great and has crispy skin with tender meat inside. i love the marinated taste very much. the soup is appetizing, more sour than spicy and seafood is very enjoyable, the soup is light and refreshing which is great for a heavy meal like this.
the service here is quite okay, the food was served quite quickly so we did not have to wait too long. while this might be a little pricey compared to other restaurants, i think the price is worth it because all the dishes is flavorful, appetizing and just so enjoyable overall.

Crispy Chicken Tenders with Béchamel Sauce
Ingredients:
Chicken Tenders:
1 pound chicken tenders
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 eggs, beaten
1 cup breadcrumbs or panko
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
Oil for frying
Seasoned French Fries:
2 large russet potatoes, cut into fries
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
Béchamel Sauce:
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 cup milk
Salt and pepper to taste
A pinch of nutmeg (optional)
Instructions:
Prepare the Chicken Tenders:
In one bowl, place the flour seasoned with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
In a second bowl, have the beaten eggs.
In a third bowl, have the breadcrumbs.
Dredge each chicken tender first in the flour, then dip in the egg, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
Heat oil in a large frying pan over medium heat and fry the chicken tenders until golden brown and cooked through, about 4-5 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels.
Bake the French Fries:
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
Toss the cut fries with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
Spread out the fries in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake for 25-30 minutes or until crispy, flipping halfway through.
Make the Béchamel Sauce:
In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
Stir in the flour and cook for about 2 minutes until the mixture is pale yellow and bubbly.
Gradually whisk in the milk, and continue to cook, whisking constantly until the sauce thickens, about 5-7 minutes.
Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg (if using). Cook for an additional minute and remove from heat.
Serve:
Arrange the chicken tenders and French fries on a plate.
Drizzle the béchamel sauce generously over the chicken tenders.
Optionally, garnish with parsley and ground black pepper.

Well, Seymour, I made it, despite your directions.
Ah, Superintendent Chalmers, Welcome! I hope you're prepared for an unforgettable luncheon!
Myeh.
[GASP] Oh ye gods, my roast is ruined! But what if... I were to purchase fast food and disguise it as my own cooking? Ho ho ho ho ho, delightfully devilish, Seymour!
Ah-
Skinner with his crazy explanations,
The superintendent's gonna need his medication,
When he hears Skinner's lame exaggerations,
There'll be trouble in town tonight!
SEYMOUR!
Superintendent, I was just- uh, just stretching my calves on the windowsill. Isometric exercise! Care to join me?
Why is there smoke coming out of your oven, Seymour?
Uhh, oh! That isn't smoke. It's steam. Steam from the steamed clams we're having! Mmm... steamed clams!
Phew!
Superintendent, I hope you're ready for mouth watering hamburgers!
I thought we were having steamed clams.
D'oh, no. I said steamed hams! That's what I call hamburgers!
You call hamburgers "steamed hams"?
Yes! It's a regional dialect.
Uh-huh. Eh, what region?
Uhh, upstate New York?
Really? Well, I'm from Utica, and I've never heard anyone use the phrase "steamed hams".
Oh, not in Utica, no. It's an Albany expression.
I see. You know, these hamburgers are quite similar to the ones they have at Krusty Burger.
Ho ho ho ho, no, patented Skinner burgers. Old family recipe.
For steamed hams?
Yes.
Yeah, so you call them "steamed hams" despite the fact they are obviously grilled.
Ye- uh- you know, the- one thing I should- excuse me for one second.
Of course.
[YAWN] Well, that was wonderful. A good time was had by all, I'm pooped.
Yes, I should be- Good Lord, what is happening in there!?
Aurora borealis?
Ah- aurora borealis!? At this time of year, at this time of day, in this part of the country, localized entirely within your kitchen?!
Yes!
May I see it?
No.
Seymour, the house is on fire!
No, mother, it's just the northern lights!
Well, Seymour, you are an odd fellow, but I must say, you steam a good ham.
Help! Help!

Good news! You're about to save a lot of money! This Copycat Popeye's Chicken is so easy you'll never go back to fast food again
Shopping list
If you don't have a Popeye's Chicken in your neck of the woods then you don't understand the enormity of posting this recipe. Popeye's makes fried chicken like no other — spicy, smoky, crispy perfection. They have their own special sauce to dip it in but my kids like honey mustard sauce or bbq the best.
Or Ranch. You can't go wrong with Ranch.
Boneless chicken breast or thighs
Louisiana hot sauce
Buttermilk
Peanut oil (if deep frying)
Chipotle powder
All-purpose flour
Smoked paprika
Eggs
Salt
Instructions
There are three ways to make these:
In a deep fryer
In a cast iron skillet
In an air fryer
To me the very best flavor is when they're done in a deep fryer but I think it's good to have options, right?
No matter which way you make these chicken strips you'll start the same. Always marinate for 30 minutes in the buttermilk mixture but not more than an hour.
Remove a chicken bread strip from the marinade and dredge in flour.
Dip in the egg mixture.
Dredge with flour again. Set aside.
Bring oil to 360F.
Add the chicken a little at a time without crowding.
Fry until golden.
Remove to a paper towel covered plate. Keep warm.
Serve hot.
Add your favorite dipping sauce.

41. "Comfort Food" (Canon x OC)
Catherine steps off the bus, arms full of bags. It's been an incredibly long, exhausting day at work. She can't wait to get out of her work clothes and into her lounge wear. She sets the bags down at her door and fumbled for her house keys.
Leon opens the door, greeting her with a smile.
"Saw you from the window," he says, helping her with the bags. The smell of the takeout bucket makes him perk up even more, "Fried chicken?"
"Yeah, from our favorite place, Emmett's", she replied, briefly sitting down on the couch to catch her breath.
Leon is quick to take her jacket, hanging it up on the coat rack.
He gives her a kiss on her cheek, nodding and bringing the takeout bags to the kitchen to start plate the food. Catherine had bought their favorites -- potato wedges, spicy fries, mashed potatoes with gravy, macaroni and cheese, a bucket of fried chicken (boneless and bone-in), and finally a sundae pie.
It was nice having him here, the house felt less empty.
Leon comes back to the living room, setting the plates on the table and pulling Catherine into his arms.
"Been waiting for this all day," Catherine says, letting herself relax against him.
"Same," Leon replies, taking a crispy chicken tender from her plate to feed her.
"So, I'm thinking we can watch 'The Mask' tonight," Catherine said after eating the piece of chicken, "Channel 320 is giving a marathon of Jim Carrey movies."
Leon smirks and clicks on the TV, kissing the top of her head, "Sounds like my kind of date."
