Infographic about how many multisexual/mspec ppl are technically bi and can consider themselves as bi also if they want or just use other terms if they want.
Tumblr media
Based on the original from this post, which is about how gnc women can still be women and don't have to id as nonbinary just bc they are gnc. I posted this in a reblog to that post, but felt it deserves its own post as well.
To be clear, I get why you may not want to call yourself bisexual even if it technically fits. I'm bisexual, too, but I've felt like that plenty of times in the past several years. Using only other terms for your sexuality is fine as well, or you can call yourself bi and other terms (e.g. bi and pansexual).

Hiii! I just found your blog and I LOVE it! I'm alloace so it's cool to see a blog dedicated to varioriented folks!
I'm a bit confused on something tho: is there an official alloace flag? If so, what is it? I've seen a couple different variations and I want to make sure I'm using the right one
there’s no official flag, but the one we designed is the most used/known since it was the first to appear. there are at least two more variations/redesigns and I guess @whimsy-flags adapted mine too.

I made a allosexual aro flag because hey
allosexual aros are rarely presented and they should have a flag
(Image desc: a 5 striped flag in the colours dark green, dark cream, dark red, dark brown and black.
The second image is the same flag but with meanings on each stripe
Dark green- Arospec
Dark Cream- Friendship
Dark Red- Sexuality

Black: Sexuality Spectrum

A rant about RESPECT.
In general, you should respect that someone knows their own gender and sexuality better than anyone else.
For example, if your friend came out to you as bi, it would be very rude if you replied with "well, you're actually just gay and just afraid to come out." It would be rude because it would mean that you didn't respect that your friend knows more about their sexuality than you.
You should have the same respect for anyone else. It doesn't effing matter if their identity is mogai, rare, "cringy," ace, aro, split attraction model, etc. or something you can't understand. People know more about their own sexuality and gender than you do and you should f*king respect that.
And DON'T use stupid reasoning to say that certain groups are exempt from this rule. No one's sexuality or gender is less deserving of basic respect and decency than others just for being rare.
We're people too, and we deserve respect.

Hiya!! So I think I’m variorented, but I’m not aspec at all?? So I’m romantically attracted to boys and masc enbies, but only sexually attracted to boys. Does this count as varioriented? If so, do you know of a specific identity that refers to this kind of attraction/know someone who might know?
Yes. Allos (alloromantic allosexuals) can be varioriented. Variorientation exists as a term specifically for those that recognize sexual and romantic orientations can be split and mixed, even outside aspec community (this is useful for this situation that you're not aspec). However most varioriented representation is within a-spec community, that's why sometimes most of our content is posts of them. Crossoriented allos are gatekept a lot, gatekeepers want split attraction model (SAM) be a thing only within aspec community, and some of them don't want this even to exist.
Discourses aside, torenromantic means romantic attraction to men and non-binary people. But you can also call yourself biromantic or other multiromantic spectral identity.
While monosexual, you can use androsexual (homosexual or heterosexual depending your gender), I guess there are other labels too.
Uranic is another label that may apply, this one does not specify the type of attraction (attraction to men, nongender people and all nbs who are not female-aligned or feminine).
