Note
If I might, they did specify that Lucy's canine teeth were the ones that looked sharper, so I presume dracula's would be the same.
Thanks! I'd forgotten that detail :)
But now it makes me wonder why the wound is 2 pinpricks and not 4, (or 2 gashes if the teeth came together and tore the skin) as would be expected from a bite with canine teeth. Are only the upper canines enlarged? 🤔

uhhhh. Off the top of my head. 1.lisacreature duh. the whole movie. they're not a healthy relationship but like they're fine they just destroy everything around them. i lurv it . also of fucking course I wanted a zombie boyfriend as a teenager. I won't lie to any of you
Tumblr media
2. danbert bc gay people in my phone. classic case of toxic yaoi. so toxic I've been thinking about them for years. if only reanimator had like been gay on purpose we could've had it all
Tumblr media
3. also based off of "what's in my camera roll". the evil scientists from mst3k are gay also. Dr Forrester and tvs frank.... is this even disputed. I don't care. I've known this since I was a child. "they're gay married and kill each other in looney tunes esque situations daily" feels like part of the character concepts.
Tumblr media
-first ship
Inuyasha x Kagome, most likely. it's like one of the first obsessions I can remember where a show had like, a romantic throughline I cared about at all. although, to be fair, I was still mostly into the comedy and supernatural stuff, and this was Very Young.
-last song I listened to
Tumblr media
youtube
I stumbled upon the tiny desk concert performance and well. I am not immune to popular things. chappell roan is pretty awesome. I love the videos and performances, but the pop music is also really solid, and I find myself enjoying it way more than expected. this songs good but I haven't listened to it a lot yet....my first time actually
-currently reading
Perry Mason and the Glamorous Ghost. I'm only like a chapter in. idk it was an impulse buy on my birthday because the cover was awesome. also pictured: my copy of Frankenstein. I read that in October. loved it
Tumblr media
-currently watching
uhmmmm. still rewatching always sunny in Philadelphia. forever. watched a couple episodes of space ghost coast to coast earlier. I still want to keep watching twin peaks the return but I haven't because. idk. its hard to be me....
-relationship status
very incredibly single. it is very hard to date when u can't drive where I live. I mean it's hard in any circumstance but whatever shots I had are dust. would love to date sometime in my life possibly. I have been feeling that way for um. like four years now. so. we will see how that goes.
-current obsessions
Lisa Frankenstein, obvs.....my hobbies and such though? kind of in a slump. I've been like.....learning how to apply makeup for once for fun. I'm still very bad at it but idgaf it is what it is what's always made me uncomfortable about it was that it never "looked right" and I didn't want to be judged. instead of just treating it like a for fun thing. ie I want Colors On My Face I don't even cover up my acne atp. oh and the gender thing. like if I didn't do the makeup right I was being bad at being a girl. and now I do not have to worry about that at all.
-currently craving
like, food? um. I hope the brownies I made tonight taste good in the morning. I let them cool overnight so idk how they taste yet.
-favorite color
green, but I'm a big fan of what pink and black (I KNOW it's not a 'real color' IDC) and some shades of blue and yellow and orange have going on. I just like colors lmao
-tagging
hiiii I won't mind if you don't do it this is just a little shout-out okay :) @mahkari @jokeryuri @homokommari @mushroom-in-space
also anypony else who wants to do it can.....I won't be mad

Last song:
Old Dan’s Records - Gordon Lightfoot
Currently watching:
No specific show right now, but the daily making-dinner background noise is a perpetual YouTube rotation of stuff like Scaredy Cats, Tested, ZeFrank, Caitlin Doughty, Kyle Hill, whatever goofy bullshit the Watcher boys are getting up to, and old MST3K episodes.
Three ships:
: I can only give you two right now- Dreamling and Karrin/Dresden. Though that last one is in Excruciating Angst Limbo and I’m hoping I’m not going to have my heart broken AGAIN.
Currently consuming:
Nothing :( there’s no snacks in the kitchen that I can raid quietly enough at 4 am
Relationship status:
Happily married going on 13 years. I know this because my husband looked at me last week and was like “🤔 When did we get married again?” and I was like “🤷‍♀️Fuck if I know, you know not to ask me the number questions.” So we went and checked the needlepoint on the wall his friend did for us with our wedding date and were like, “Whew good thing we have that up there. Most useful wedding gift ever!”
We do this every year.
Last movie:
Raya and the Last Dragon, because Kid#1 was eating ramen and he insisted we had to watch Ponyo, because they eat ramen too. Alas, we don’t have Ponyo (!!how??) and had to settle on some other film with a soup-eating scene.
Currently working on:
Braiding a dozen shoelace necklaces, because chewing is Kid#1s stim but he hates those silicone things. Working out a presentation about native pollinators to do with the Kiwanis Club kids who meet in my library once a month. The book job and the plant job collide!
Too sleepy to tag. You know who you are. Yes you. Do the thing. If you wanna. Going to sleep now for exactly 45 minutes.

My favorite admin freakout on a forum was the forums for The Agony Booth, which is a now-defunct site that mocked movies and TV episodes in that 2000s "text with screenshots" way
The admin's specific grievance was that his pop culture parody website that mainly reviewed b-movies and Star Trek episodes and that was named after a relatively obscure Star Trek reference had attracted a userbase of nerds. At first he took steps like sectioning off anime and video games into their own forum with notes about the deep contempt he held for both. Then he banned users for "posting too much", but not with a daily post limit or anything. He banned anyone whose posts-per-day got too high. You know. The stat that will inevitably always go up for regular long-term users & that is just their posts divided by how old their account is.
Finally he just started making announcement posts lambasting his users for not discussing "real" movies. He lamented that there were several threads on [some recent nerd property, I don't remember], but zero on...Righteous Kill. How could the forum not be discussing the long-awaited pairing of Robert De Niro and Al Pacino??? He hammered the point home. We shouldn't be talking about nerd shit on his Star Trek parody website, we should be discussing Righteous Kill, that modern classic!
Tumblr media
Ah well. RIP the Agony Booth, I think after that you pivoted to video and now you're a spam placeholder site about celebrity gossip. I'm so sorry you had so many nerds on your MST3K-inspired site that advertised itself off making fun of Star Trek

Tonight I watched Star Wars….
Oh, yeah, look. I know the young folks call it “A New Hope” or “Episode IV”, but when I was growing up the first movie was “Star Wars”. If Lucas still expects me to accept his tinkering after I had LITERALLY seen the movies more than 100 times, then I’m never gonna use his rebranding.
Yes, really. 100 times.
I worked my ass off cutting brush growing up to earn enough money to buy the movies on VHS. This is back in the days they were rental priced. I think I paid $75 per movie and then went and bought the Han vest and Luke jacket the fan club was also selling.** When I got those three tapes I would sit there a day watching the movies like an endless loop, starting over as soon Jedi was over. And I actually kept count on a chalk board!
It’s soooo damn embarrassing now! I can’t get my head around it. i can’t even stand to watch two episodes of a tv show back to back now. But back then I was in love, a total fangirl..
Plus, yah know, no streaming, no internet even, no cable, a handful of VHS tapes because they cost so much still, and the nearest video rental places a couple shelves in Roses 10 miles away! If you wanted to watch something at home there weren’t many choices! LOL
But I did love it, a deep unconditional love. The visceral thrill I felt as a six year old sitting by my father rippled through my life for decades. I’d watch the movie and feel it again every single time. It was a delight that was filled with the warmth of something connecting with you in a way that if feels it was always there. It was like a part of identity manifest in a movie***. Empire was my favorite, but Star Wars would always have a special place in my heart.
Or so I thought.
**sigh**
I wish I could feel what I always used to feel. I felt nothing tonight. No warmth. No delight. Just a hollowness.
And then I went into a full MST3K monologue, mocking my once beloved movie. I wish someone had been here to laugh. I miss laughter. Saying something and someone else snickering or smiling or even totally losing it in gales of laughter…now that’s one of the most wonderful things in the world.
But I couldn’t even feel the humor. Just nothing.
I’m not sure it’s the fault of Star Wars. I’m not feeling anything much from things I have always loved. Nothing brings delight. Not anything I watch or read or listen to or eat or wear or do or…. I can’t blame any of it on what I loved failing me. They are unchanged (well, relatively…damn you Lucas) but something about me has.
I’ve had all my hope worn away. It’s too hard to be happy anymore. Surviving is all I feel like I do, but I’m doing it by habit and my core obstinance rather than caring.
You can’t really love if you can’t even care. I know I love these things, but it’s like knowing you are supposed to love someone while suffering from amnesia.
Funny though that I can still feel grief over all this. I mourn loving things. It scares me, this nothingness where I always felt so much.
** I wore that vest to school every single day for at least a year! It’s so beyond ridiculous!
I mean, I always seemed to have a “thing” I wore like a life line, connecting me to the “real” me. School was traumatic, and I was losing myself to to it. I’d gone from extravert to introvert, and told myself I was just acting to survive. But I felt it happening, the crippling insecurity, the fear of people, seeping into my bones. So I’d wear something. For it a few years it was my ankh (lost), then my amethyst amulet (lost), then my denim jacket with a daily rotation of buttons/ pins/badges/brooches, and finally my leather jacket (my beloved). But that year did I have to latch onto this utterly geeky bit of clothing???
Of course, no one ever seemed to guess it was from Star Wars. You see, the movies were super popular, but geeks were NOT. To admit you knew what it was was to admit you were a geek too. I was the school’s (a K-12 school at that!) only open geek. I even wrote my senior year term paper on comics….’cause fuck it, I’ll never be popular but I can at least be me!
Gah, I remember Coach G—— (how victorian of me!) , the health/PE/science teacher, used to stand behind me pulling at the loops on the back of the vest. He’d be talking away and suddenly I’d feel the yank, yank, yank he pulled me back and forth. Drove me nuts, but hey, at least he never groped me like I heard some girls had to deal with.
(WTF was with our school always having the coaches teach science when most of them had no interest or knowledge of the subject?? Tells you the value they put in science here, and why my father did a TON of volunteer work in those classes!
***TBH, I had this feeling that all the movies, books, comics, and tv shows I loved created a I kind of mosaic of me. To know what I loved was find out all the puzzle pieces you needed to see who I was. I desperately wanted to be understood. The things I liked would let me be found by someone.
Actually, wearing my geekiness out in the open was like advertising! I was hoping against hope someone would one day see a book I was reading or a t-shirt I was wearing and say “Hey! I like that too!!”
Which is a bit absurd. No two people see things the same way. The thing I liked my be perceived completely differently by someone else. WHY I like what I like is the actual key, and I’m the only one really that knows that.
Plus, hick town, teeny population, still in the anti-geek era…..yeah, I wasn’t exactly gonna get lucky. My parents did when they met, but to think I would too is like expecting to win the lottery because your parents did!

Good afternoon everyone,
Last night's stream of Persona 4 Arena Ultimax saw us cover the first 48% of the story as told from the Persona 3 perspective of things... and I'm surprised they couldn't or wouldn't bother trying to sync things up with the Persona 4 side of the story. You see on the P4 Side, the characters of Ken, Yukari and Labrys arrive at Junes when Naoto has her encounter with Sho... but on the P3 side of the story, they arrive much earlier. It does raise a question over whose side of the story is canon... obviously it's the Persona 4 cast's side, but still, would've been nice if the P3 side was filling in gaps instead of telling an alternate series of events.
Also did an arcade run was Junpei and did try to go for his Grand Slam achievement... but then realized the requirements are impossible to set up against the A.I.. Oh well, at least I didn't need two tries in any fight, as Junpei is a character that is has a natural play-style to complete his arcade run.
For the raid we dropped in on the fine folks of Mystery Science Theater 3000 over at twitch.tv/mst3k!

It's Outta Here!
Update on mom is that she's waiting to see what rehab facility she'll go to, as that's an entire process in and of itself from what I understand. We are raising funds to help cover her medical expenses, for more information visit: https://gofund.me/6adf8354
Finished the Quarian heavy Mass Effect shorty story commission yesterday, and got the go ahead request to do the next episode involving Kasumi. Basically all the latest chapters are based on Mass Effect 2. With luck I might finish this story before tonight's stream but I doubt it.
Yes I did order a new set of lightbulbs considering I'm half in the dark on stream the last few nights.
Today's Fitness Boxing 2 daily work out featured Left-Right Step Combo, Hook Combo #2 and Advanced Combo #2 for 31 minutes.
If you're American when you go in the bathroom and American when you come out, what are you in the bathroom? European!
Song of the Day: Thousand Miles by Vanessa Carlton
For tonight's stream, well it's Saturday, which means a variety night, most likely DKO Divine Knockout, which just added Zeus to the list of playable characters, along with Ghostbusters Spirits Unleashed.
So on that note we'll see you later over on twitch.tv/fredcasden!

System Update--08/19/22--David, Bri, Crow @ Front {5:10pm}
Good god, we have been so tired lately--but we have managed to get a good deal of submitting done towards are writing career--if you are interested in that side of things--we are on twitter--@OnceIateataco. We are there under our penname--B.A. O'Connell.
We have started up going to the university 5 days a week again for access to both social interaction and peaceful writing space. We have made a good amount of progress on edits for poetry and have been snooping out presses in order to get a few of our novellas/scripts/poetry chapbooks published by some indie presses.
As far as personal life goes--we can feel the depression hitting us hard again--Bri spends most of her time sad staring at things, trying not to cry. Just that time of year I suppose.
I (David) have been trying to keep up with the basic daily tasks of keeping things clean, writing to do lists, and keeping communication together and in order.
Crow has been trying to keep their humor in good balance. They have been putting on a lot of MST3K--a show they really love--one of the robots is named Crow on there--but he is not our Crow--our Crow is a cigarette smoking actual corvid. Anyway that's beside the point but he wanted me to clarify.
Anyway that is all that is really going on right now--mostly we feel overwhelmed, small, and lost--but things are going okay. I mean objectively, our life, is very good. Just this damnable depression seeping its way through our aching and very tired bones. Things will get better--I am sure. I know they will. We just have to wait it out and get used to our new schedules again.
Wishing you the best--
David

Three of Cups (MST3K, 1988) Upright Keywords: friendship, community, gatherings, celebrations, group events, social events Reversed Keywords: gossip, scandal, excess, isolation, loneliness, solitude, imbalanced social life
Joel and his robots, Crow and Tom Servo, spend endless hours together aboard the Satellite of Love, where they are held captive by evil scientists and forced to watch terrible movies. They have formed a strong bond over making jokes as they watch the films. The reality of their situation, despite their light-hearted banter, is quite lonely (Joel made the robots to keep him company, after all). Similarly, the characters in the movie they are watching, Starforce: Fugitive Alien 2, have been pulled together for a common goal and form strong friendships but are also plagued by conflicting allegiances and several vices.
