So... Chao haven't changed much.
Chip however ? HOO BOY. Say hello to ring sprites, also called chips, Light Gaia's minions ! They're scattered fragments of the ring flame ( that firey thing above Chip's head in all the doodles ) that never made it into proper rings.
I experimented a lot with Chip as you can see. Skipped ahead a lot with that last image, but had to include it. Final design ended up being the last one in the middle right labeled "Chip chip !"

“There, amongst all the foliage, was a mural Knuckles had never seen before. As he studied the stone, he realized it was older than echidna civilization, depicting multiple civilizations all worshiping figures unknown to him. On it, the cut gems gleamed in the sun… all but one. The scorch marks and cracks… it was as if the red gem itself erupted in a blaze and split the white figure into pieces.”

What is life, without a little chaos?

Nurgle can only target those too weak to flee or fight so he can't take down the other three gods because they never stop doing either of those things.
Slaanesh can only claim dominion over those who expect a reward/climax for their work/suffering but the other 3 gods care little about the culmination of their efforts.
Khorne needs fighting or he will cease to be, and (un)fortunately none of his fellow gods will commit to conventional bloody warfare that will give him sustenance.
The more complex a scheme is, the easier it is for Tzeentch to subvert it but the other gods plans are always too simple to be manipulated.

Open Starter.
Deep within the farthest depths of the Warp where even the mightiest of daemons dared to tread, there was an odd domain that had formed ever since the Emperor had cast his humanity aside to properly defeat Horus-- while the Emperor himself did indeed still sit upon the Golden Throne, a part of his mind sat, lingering within the Immaterium and Warpspace, battling Chaos every second he could.
He sat in the darkness, in the ever-changing Chaos that threatened to rip everything apart. Except, where he sat, there was a small area around him that represented just what he was-- nothing changed, nothing crumbled or rose again or morphed, but instead stayed still, orderly.
His soul still had the deep wound within its torso from the battle with Horus, and far more wounds that only mirrored the continued decay of his Imperium, which was only further mirrored in this one small pocket of respite... and he could sense a presence, which made him hold his breath to focus his mind just the smallest bit.
Who went so far as to search for the Golden God's humanity, in the deepest depths?

Khorne, Nurgle, Tzeentch, and Slaanesh except they don't hate each other they're just like really competitive siblings, and they treat the great-game as basically fantasy football — and after each season they get together and hang out and talk about all of the hijinks that went down and goof off and generally just get up to wacky shenanigans
