I've actually been thinking about this a lot because of my own au, but I LOVE the idea of Sun and Moon being separate AIs, but... One of them isn't sentient. And that causes the other to slowly drift away from them — the constant looping conversations quickly being unable to bear. But, even so, the other looks at them with sadness and confusion as their friend talks to them less, expressions so real but so fake.

...and they don't even miss them until they're gone.

I've noticed a trend that alot of DCA au's have a y/n that's either mostly nb-coded or feminin-coded

And i just want to know

Where are the buff or masculine coded y/ns?

Because i sure don't rlly see them anywhere but i want them so bad. I want to be reffered to by masculine compliments and not the feminine ones all the time, where are those at i need them.

Also, i want to be strong enough to lift either sun or moon! gimme a y/n that can carry them and they struggle to carry because god damn that density of muscle is lethal and their processors can't handle it. Or someone who's like, decently overweight or something? I wouldn't mind that either that would be awesome too.

If anyone who have read thru basically every fanfic of them sees this and know any AUs that fall under these categories that would be cool to hear about, because i am this close to just writing them myself smh

bitty bots master post (for the time being

This au is now a collaboration au with @zoranight16 ^^

heads up, there's a bunch of reading and I'm still figuring stuff out

Some bitties are aggressive or territorial, especially in the Sol Eclipsed bots . An example is the Strawberry Eclipse bitties. Most of the albino ones (nicknamed strawberry milk morphs) are more defensive while normal and melanistic ones (chocolate dipped morphs) are more reserved and don't tend to cling to their owners until a strong bond is made

Runts are traditionally lighter in color but not albino. If they have the melanistic gene, they'll appear much darker than others with the same gene that aren't melanistic. Runts with the albino gene will usually be either completely snow white, mixed with very faint tints of their originating kind, or grayed out tones.

The main three categories are Luna bots, Sol bots and Eclipsed bots.

Luna bots tend to either be more social (Lunar based) or quiet (Moon based) but it can vary based on subspecies as well

Sol bots (Sun, sometimes others) tend to be the most sociable and usually won't get territorial.

Eclipsed bots on the other hand- they're definitely a finicky bunch. We have the Lunar based Eclipsed (Bloodmoon) and Solar based Eclipsed (Eclipse) both can get highly possessive of territory and owners. Some exceptions are if they were in a "litter" with bots of other types. Some Eclipsed bots gain the personality of normal Sol bots (Solar for example)

We (me as the owner of bitty adoption center)actually keep them (the bitties) in open "play pens" so people can stop by and play with some of them (like a cat cafe) so feel free to! Some of the bitties get along better than others so some are grouped together while others are separated to prevent damage to the bitties

While yes, there are different categories of bitty bots (traditional, sweets, fantasy, ect) it's not just stuck to foods

Some mutations can occur but they aren't defects. Most of the mutations add to how unique a bitty can be. Like extra functional limbs or tails perhaps.

Bitties can have combos of two kinds. Two berry based bots would have a result of a Cobbler bitty with both “parents” colorations and genes. The percentage of how much of each parent is present can change a lot. Some genes are dominant and recessive so it is really up to fate.

Rays can come in different lengths! Some bitties will have shorter rays or only half a head of rays. This can sometimes happen when a Sol bot mixes with a Luna bot. This can also happen between two Sols or two Lunas, it all depends on genes and if they're recessive or dominant traits.

Most bitties range from 4-10 inches in height, runts usually being an inch or two smaller than their normal counterparts.

Some albino runts end up with poor vision

A group of any of the berry themed bitties is called a bushel/ cluster

Here I am again with another AU idea.

I don't know if it's an already existing idea but what about the DCA in a nier:Automata AU?

It's could be in five different ways (lmao pun not intended): with Sun and Moon being androids and y/n being a bio-machine, the opposite way or with y/n being an operator at base station and guess what, the opposite way again. The fifth being y/n, an android, finding the original DCA between the ruins of an old human entertaining center after their POD capted an unknown signal.

Let me rant a little under the cut.

Setting A: With Sun and Moon being two different androids they would be compatible with the canon story and at some point they could become infected with the bio machines virus. They would work for the YorFaz/Fazha organisation (the name makes me giggle hahaha) and combat machines for the good of mankind on the moon (that's actually just a lie to cover the fact someone is exploiting bio machines for remnant or something like that). I don't know what kind of category they would be close to, but I would say they are a new kind of android who's an hybrid between the Battle and Scanner model (with Moon being more of a Scanner before the virus and going full berserk after it).

Y/n on the other end is just a machine that gained consciousness like Pascal (and maybe even a human-like body like Adam and Eve at some point) when they detached themselves from the hive mind because they idk, fell down somewhere or hard resetted after a fight. For that reason they won't be infected by the virus like Sun and Moon and can emote and be themselves.

The first time they meet Sun (1Su-Ones) and Moon (1M-Nem) almost eliminated y/n who was just laying on a small field of flowers hidden between the ruins of the desert away from every other machine. There is a chase and some dialogue between you and mostly Sun who wanted to study your reactions,meanwhile Moon is more closed off and ready for an ambush. You are the first machine they met with a consciousness.

They don't want to interact with you after your first encounter but you had captured their attention. They lie to themselves saying that's their Scanner nature acting up and making them curious about you. At the beginning that's true, but after some time they start to actually enjoy your company and try to come to see you in between missions.

And you are always in different places, making finding you their little exiting side quest as they search where you can possibly be and bringing you to new places.

Until one day they couldn't find you anymore, maybe?

Setting B: similar to A but a bit different. In this one y/n is a Scanner type YoRha android studying machines and ways to exploit their behaviours against them. Your targets are two special cases of goliath biped machines denominated DC-S87 (Sun) un and DC-M83 (Moon) living in the Amusement Park area.

At the beginning you saw them just as factory errors...they were differently shaped than the other bio-machines and acted strangely too They seemed more...intelligent, and connected to each other in some way.

The first time you made contact with them was to "save" them from another group of androids who was patrolling the area, explaining to your colleagues that they were the objects of your study and stopping them from eliminating the duo. This resulted in Sun and Moon being more aware of their surroundings and spotting you more often now that they knew they were being watched.

They tried (especially Moon) to scare you away by creating traps and attacking you but you always found it funny and pretty interesting, taking notes aloud. Until one day you were trapped somewhere (maybe lured by Simone) and they menaged to help you by hiding your signal and making you escape the park area.

You thought they were just mindless bio machine like the rest but you soon understood you were wrong.

Setting C: The most tragic ending ever if we follow the canon. Just imagine: android Sun and Moon and Operator y/n can freely hangout when they have time at the space station (they bring you souvenirs from the surface :D) and y/n helps the boys when they are on a mission.

They make you a promise: they would bring you with them to the surface when the war ended. But the day the virus broke out they saw you go crazy and being used to hurt them both mentally and physically. You managed to infect Moon (and after that Moon infected Sun) because they esitated. They had to watch you as you tried to fight the virus that's moving your body and as you begged for them to eliminate you. To save you, you didn'twant them to end up like you.. Y/n never had a chance to see the surface. And they remained alone, with just their slowly corrupting memories of you.

And their broken promise.

(But if you want a happy ending we could always ignore the canon story :D)

Setting D: Sun and Moon are both your operators. Or your PODS. If they are your operators it may be because you have to find an android who's disappeared (the android one of them is supposed to support), same thing if they are PODs, one of them is yours but the other is of someone else, or they are replacing your own. This setting allows space to pining and feelings of uncertainty from all ends. But it could get more complicated if you manage to find the actual android you are searching for, the one linked to them. And when the virus starts spreading (like in the previous setting) things would get ugly.

The alternative to this is you being their POD slowly gaining a conscience like in canon game.

Setting E: Again, you are an android (it doesn't matter what type) and you are on a mission to find the location of a new anomalous signal presumably from bio machines. You didn't expect to find two really old robots between the debris of an old human entertaining center, and with really advanced AI for the time they were built. After you found them the Commander ordered you to find out if they are actually harmless and to study them and integrate them to the resistance camp. This setting is more focalized on the boys waking up to what is basically a new world for them. It could be both platonic and romantic.

I've been busy dealing with my homework irl, but I've slowly been working on some things for myself too :)

For example, I recently finished writing the backstory for the Tiny Maid AU! Now I'm thinking about what drawings to make to accompany them.

About art... I've only drawn sketches of different things besides DCA, I've also had fun drawing with my friend thinking about more designs for stickers so stay tuned! (we have a couple of ideas from Sonic, Vocaloid, Cult of the lamb and Spy x Family). And beyond these sketches my personal work

Regarding AUs, I have thought about returning to the Kitsune AU, but I have not decided. Also, I recently had the idea of a Maho Shojo style AU (nothing very new) but I haven't drawn anything concrete yet. To summarize I would say: Y/N is an ordinary, exhausted student who finds a magical book. Desperate for money he ends up accepting a job as a "part-time Maho Shojo" following the instructions of the two beings who live in the book as they fight to stop a strange darkness that begins to flood the city.

I think it would fall into the magic, action and comedy category, but who knows... I have a better intro written, are you interested in reading it?

May I suggest a prompt of sorts? Sun and moon but they've gotten a virus or bug in their system that throws them out of balance. Sun in the dark, but not long enough to really know what to do. Moon switching in during the day but his sensors are too sensitive to cleanly transition to the front.

Basically a dive into how they both are forced to inhabit the same body and how the lines between them could get blurred. How much of them is Moon? How much is Sun? Is it their programming that changes a single AI's behaviour and they are just one? Are they two completely separate AIs struggling with new situations they were never built to handle?

Do they care for each each other and try to make the sudden transitions easier? Do they fight thinking the other is trying to take over their time? Does it hurt to be in each other's roles (possibly understimulation and loneliness for Sun, and overstimulation and Too Muchtm for Moon)? If they're one AI that alters behaviour based on lighting, does the division between Sun and Moon begin to fade? Change? Do some of their traits or behaviours switch? How aware of it could they be?

(AKA I want to study them I think they are both so very very cool but I haven't the time to write a whole story about the possible struggle of identity they could face. Someday perhaps!)

Incubus AU: I can’t tell whether to laugh at or simp for Crewel because he looks like Lucifer from Obey Me. I just find that funny. Also are the DCA girls and other TWST gang gonna be there. Would it be a monster boy AU instead. The more boys to simp for and some love interest!~

Lol i realized the resemblance just by sketching it. Its the hair I tell yah!!!

I was keeping this AU just for Pomefiore and Divus. But if I feel another creative liberty then I might just make another one.

But in the discord I was talking about tweaking the incubus trope just a little bit to be less sexual fanatsies and more of a... host club kinda charm?

Though think of how comedic it would be if on the surface they are the picture of seduction but behind closed doors its just a single father and his sons in different drama of their immortal life.

Divus would just let the boys have a tussle should they get into an agument. He's downing another bottle of expensive wine. Epel just being rebellious of Vil's advice and the two have a screaming match about opinions. Rook is vibing.

Also I mentioned in the discord if I had to put any DCA girl in this AU maybe Ella except she's like one of those horror movie annabelle dolls that is the little sister/daughter figure in Divus's household.

Or a Rozen Maiden doll because she fits in that category too.

That's so wholesome, think about it. Divus as an incubus is dangerous and tempting but he has a fatherly side whenever Ella is around.

She also has three brother figures who want to spoil her with cute things.

But if any demon hunter or exorcist makes her upset then... demon feral energy go BRRRRR-

About time we make the monster AU more about different genres than just x readers with spicy stuff (though that is still 👌)
