SYNOPSIS: A special forces squad is sent to investigate the loss of communications with a medical outpost in Cambodia are all killed after they are attacked by zombies. Lieutenant Bobby Quinn is one of the soldiers, but wakes up on an autopsy table after his body was taken to a U.S. army base. Now possessing superhuman strength and presumably whatever infection created the zombies, Quinn must find the other bodies of the soldiers killed alongside him before they awaken and infect anyone else...

THOUGHTS/ANALYSIS: Dead and Deader is a 2006 TV film. Bobby Quinn (Dean Cain) wakes up on an autopsy table, having been declared dead on arrival after a mission to a medical outpost in Cambodia killed him and his team when they were attacked by zombies. It turns out that Quinn has the same infection that the zombies have, and must eat red meat to avoid becoming one himself. Learning that the bodies of the rest of the squad have been shipped home, he must put a stop to them before they become zombies themselves and infect the population. Joined by the base chef and a local bartender, the film throws plot out the window, and just fills itself with explosions, cheap humour, and gore; lots and lots of gore. In fact, it is quite surprising just how much violence and blood there is in this made-for TV production. From Quinn cutting his arm open to release a live scorpion form it, to the dismemberment of zombies in every which way, it gets away with a lot of bloody violence. While this is probably the only thing the film has going for it thanks to a middling story and characters that are just cheap imitations of other more successful ones, the film is actually better than you might expect: it is at least creative with it's gore, and it never gets hung up on boring details. I suppose this is important in made-for TV films so viewers don't just swap channels. It knows it needs to hit certain low bars, and it does so without much fanfare. The fact that it does so keeps it from falling into being boring or too hokey.

Despite the potential for a mass zombie outbreak, the film is strung together with cartoony characters and typical one-liners that will have you groaning in begrudging acceptance that they have to be in there. There's also quite a few references to other science-fiction franchises dotted about that are clearly for its audience, and the inclusion of Armin Shimmerman, who played Quark on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. Dead and Deader never evolves beyond silly, gory fun, but on this point it seems to do surprisingly well, not falling into a rut at any point, and keeping itself entertaining and surprising with how far it's willing to push the gore. The plot never evolves beyond pure stupidity, but it knows what it is, and I suppose can be excused. Not a good film, but watchable and reasonably entertaining.

MOVIE VERSE AU where 06 happens except I make it worse and they fail to stop it and earth is consumed by Iblis with the rest of the universe following.

Fast forward years later Sonic and Tails are the only remaining survivors of the family, hardened and tired and out of options. With the help of their friends and a lotta science they go to the past to find the only thing that could give them a chance at stopping this whole mess.

I'VE BEEN THINKING ABOUT THIS IDEA ALOT and like tbh its not gonna be lore heavy. Not really.

The thought of knuckles being a seal for Iblis and 06 and Silver and the overall lore wouldn't leave my brain.

I've been calling it the knuckles fucking dies au, bcuz it's funny and I still don't know what to name it yet.

Basically the awakening of iblis happens on earth, all triggered by knux cuz surprise🎉 he was the vessel this whole time (kinda like Elise in 06) and he doesn't survive the awakening

The master emerald is shattered and lost during all that. The wachowskis(and later on Shadow and GUN etc ) scramble to stop the fire entity and when they fail, resort to evacuating as much ppl as they can off planet.

It's not a lot :(( this is actually how humans are introduced into the rest of the galaxy, they're few and far in between now (like in Canon!!)

While the survivors attempt to rebuild and move on in another planet, Iblis is like eating the universe. They only realize this after the survivors from those other planets that get wiped out start dropping everywhere screaming about it.

A resistance of sorts is made, focused on stopping the fire god and aiding those affected.

They put up a good fight but no one has the ability to defeat it. It's not strength and raw power that will get the entity to stop. It can't be killed anyways only sealed away for next time but they don't know that so ha

[they tried searching for the emeralds really they did but they can't be found. I like to HC the master emerald having a safety/emergency switch or sum in the movie verse. Where it deactivates itself or goes dormant in case it's misused and causes an imbalance to order or sum. Like in the 2nd movie. The emeralds played a huge role in the ritual that broke Iblis out. They're are still around somewhere in the bad timeline but they can't track them due to this]

Things get so bad to the point they start grabbing at anything to help them.

Weapons of mass destruction? Ok Weird Magic? Mhm. Sciencing so hard u teeter on breaking the laws of reality? Sure

Time travel? u say ? hmm u might be onto something here.

(The future duo can't stop this from happening, they can't save knuckles, or earth or anything bcuz doing so will undo everything they've all been through and everyone they've ever established a relationship with. They love their home and their fam and they feel terrible at all the lives lost, but they cannot WILL NOT sacrifice their new friends or their lives or anyone else's. (The Master emerald wouldn't allow it anyways)

It's a decision that hurts but is ultimately agreed throughout the resistance and survivors.

They just need to yoink the gem for a lil bit to try and save their timeline and give it back easy peasy

Meanwhile, while all that's happening Silver is still running around doing his own thing with Mephiles and blaze. (He doesn't know future sonic or tails, he's never met them lol) Instead of coming from like hundreds of years into the future he'll just be part of the bad future timeline (cuz it makes things easier for me tbh and also I do what I want)

He's the first to go into the past, meets the present trio who promises to help him after causing a lil havoc during his search for the trigger.

He gets sidetracked a lot lol but ultimately his mission hasn't changed, he'll do whatever it takes to stop the Flames from consuming everything that's what he tells himself and uh

after killing his own parents as a result of uncontrollable animal magic, yuri runs away from his hometown. fear, guilt, shame, and sorrow gripping his heart. a few villages over, he comes across otabek whom he finds rummaging in the trash for food. otabek is scared when yuri approaches him and yuri tries to appear as non-threatening as possible and introduces himself. but otabek doesn't say anything.

the trauma of being abandoned has left otabek non-verbal. he cried and wailed and called out for his parents until he lost his voice. he hasn't spoken since. just a scared little boy, all alone, trying to survive. so, with no name to refer to himself with, yuri decides to call him mouse, mysh. and with time he becomes his myshka.

otabek's non-verbalness hampers his ability to hone his bird magic. he can't effectively communicate with the crows and the birds so they can't show him how to be bird. because of this, he doesn't exactly know he is a beastman. he has vague memories of when he was little, that he could safely jump from large heights with no fear. it was only when his parents saw him jumping from a dangerous height, gliding down smoothly from the tree, did they think he was touched by witchcraft and cursed. their fear made him unconsciously suppress his abilities. he doesn't know for sure if it was ever something he could do. when they moved homes they left him behind.

seeing how defenseless and timid otabek is, yuri feels fiercely protective and is driven to control his lion magic. what was a source of despair becomes a source of strength. all for myshka, to protect myshka, so myshka doesn't have to cry anymore. so myshka can smile. and although otabek is older than yuri, yuri is bigger and stronger.

the longer otabek spends time with yuri, travelling through towns, looking for food scraps, and, on occasion, stealing things that glint in the sun just right, he gains his confidence. before then, he made noises like hums, grunts, and small noises due to exertion or feelings of relaxation/safety. but with the passing weeks, he becomes more intentional with the sounds he makes. he takes to humming songs for yuri as he strokes his hair when they sleep. when they play, he becomes more bold, climbing higher and higher because there is this need inside him to aim for the sky.

sometimes, he hears things. all around him the voices slowly get louder. he doesn't know where it all comes from until one day a bird lands near him and they eye each other curiously. more clearly than ever, he can hear a distinct voice. rather, the bird's chatter seems.. understandable? something possesses him to puff up his chest. it's instinctual. and he releases a trill. the bird does a happy hop and trills back then flies away. otabek doesn't fully understand what happened, but the sounds of the birds are telling him things now. there's a town up ahead. a stream of water is over the hill. some food is left out by a window. so many things. he wants to tell yuri, he wants to tell yuri everything.

so he tries, he tries to speak and yuri stares at him with big eyes, but all that comes out is a frustrated squawk and yuri is so surprised he bursts out into laughter, they both do. when his repeated attempts to talk end up with unintended bird sounds, yuri starts to make a connection. otabek is just like him.

slowly, and with a lot of patience. otabek starts to be able to say words, then phrases, then sentences, and soon enough they are able to converse freely, though otabek remains on the quieter side. when faced with new people otabek doesn't utter a word. they didn't earn his trust. so they are not owed his voice.

and on one fateful day, they enter a town that a travelling circus is passing through but not before hosting a show for all to come see. amongst the hustle and bustle of the day fair before the night show, the two of them attempt to steal some food and supplies from one of the circus tents. they fail to notice the watchful vulture, looming just on the periphery, waiting to catch them for their misdeeds.

how should two little animal boys pay back what they tried to steal from her... ?

I have a few things to say. first of which Getting kagi confession and then the very next thing you see is That bastard hanzawa masato. harusono shou reminding you that the story isn’t Not about him too. I’m not making that up I promise I know I’m biased Just trust me. I would never lie to you. anyway Second the hira+kagi room being his last stop on his photo-taking tour implies a couple things. either he started with his room (the room he shares with yashiro) or he’s not taking any photos of his own room (the room he shares with yashiro). second option seems more likely to me (privacy) (probably one of the only ways he’d “abuse” his power as dorm head) (Ha ha ha ha.) Anyway finishing with the hira-kagi dorm is Factually probably just because they’re his neighbors. but they’re also his favorites :) I know this in my heart. also hirano borrowing hair clips from kagi Kagi having hair clips :) supercute also also hirano’s objections being roundly ignored by both masato and kagi who are partners in crime on this Supercute :)

It’s best to catch the subject in their natural state. (shutterbug thing to say) (takes one to know one) (they’re not even blurry). kagi cute pouting kagi immediate retaliation completely predictable and entirely undetected by hirano who turned around without a thread of suspicion. Love? Love?
