Decolonization in America:

Hello people in my phone, I've heard of the decolonization movement and want to support it, but first I want to know more about it and what it would look like. Anyone can answer if they're knowledgeable about the movement but I'd especially like to hear from indigenous Americans. What I want to know is:

What would change legally? What would the government look like, if it changed?

How would life change for Americans living in colonial America, if it changes?

How long would decolonization take? Are there different routes? Which ones are most realistic, easiest, or least disruptive to the ordinary person's life?

How can white people in Colonial America best support the decolonization movement?

read about americas occupations in the middle east.

read about any of the countless wars from the past 30 years. especially from a civilian's. and the victims and survivors' perspective. listen to the horror stories and do not plug your fucking ears as to what your country is doing.

and read about fucking gaza and palestine and keep up with what is happening no matter how "sad" or "uncountable" you might get.

you dont have the right to be comfortable during countless active genocides.

if you're knowledgeable, you're powerful, and our current state doesnt fucking want that.

you have the power to change things if you open your eyes and scream to the world.

I've taken down the Henry Kissinger booklet sold by Jacobin because I've since found out the organisation is a piece of shit that argued against lockdowns and praised eugenicist COVID protocols that's led to the genocide of disabled people in the countries that implemented them. Disabled genocide is every bit as devastating as ethnic, even though it tends to be quieter. Something very frustrating about the whole i/p is how people view this place

The MENA is the only place in the WORLD where ppl try to rewrite its history and force indigenous-ity over its colonizers just bc the colonizers aren't "white European". instead of accepting the place was colonized and moving on and try to learn the native cultures and stuff

The brits know they colonized america and a big part of the world

The germans know they caused the holocaust

The mongols know about chinggis khan horrible rein and the massacre of millions

The american know they are not natives to america

We all know about the greek, roman and ottoman empire were conquering and colonizing land

So why can't arabs accept that they are also colonizers? Its ok, every nationality did horrible shit throughout history but instead of accepting it they just force themselves into nativity- ofc with time they mingled with the natives and most of them are mixed- but it doesn't cancel anything. Now the west and practically the whole world CHOSES to ignore history. As if the fact that you are not light skinned/white/european means that you can NEVER oppress or do something horrible.

Altho arabic is fund by different native languages it still originated in arabia peninsula(saudi arabia) just like islam and the arab identity. But bc it happened almost 1500 years ago and sound so far in the past people just choose to ignore it and in the end, with the israel-palestine conflict it hurts jews and our history bc no arabic is not indigenous. Its not nablus, its sh'hem and was called that name even BEFORE abraham was even born. Even islam isn't indigenous the canaan- Christianity and judaism are.

Im not shaming or anything but self awareness is important.

Bc we all from the same area then ofc there will be A LOT of similarity with the clothes, food, music etc just like there are a lot of similarities between Japanese and chinese culture altho they all are different its just NORMAL. the more I read about current efforts to restore biodiversity the more I believe that north america should be eating primarily bison and elk/deer meat. While conservation herds and wild bison are important, the vast majority of plains bison (420,000 as opposed to 20,500) are in commercial herds.

If we are going to get that number even close to what it used to be (millions!), it is going to be because of an increased demand for bison meat. An increase on our reliance for bison would likely see more effort put into bison genetics, which would serve conservation efforts.

The Haida have become the masters of the North Pacific, transporting goods along the west coast of North America, as well as making the 6-8 week long trek in the summers across to the Yellow Sea Alliance (YSA). Nunangat controls Sugpiaq and, in turn, transports goods along the northwest passage, down the east coast and even out to Iceland connecting Europe to the Americas. From Hokkaido, the YSA moves goods southward and out to India, and from Yelizovo, ancient Russian infrastructure takes tribal caravans deep into the Eurasian continent. As such, the Haida serve a vital role in what has been called "The Great World Ring," a trade road moving things across the entire globe. Many people have managed to circumnavigate the globe just by moving from trade ship to trade ship to caravan to trade ship. While perhaps the world isn't as prosperous as before The Flood Wars, it does not mean there is no global community.
