The supernatural characters all having their respective YouTube channels, they’re relatively well known but not super famous. (Dean has cars, Cas has one about animals and plants, Sam has one about studying tips, but it’s also full of stupid videos of the others etc) occasionally they get a look in at their personal lives within videos, there is a Destiel tag everywhere because they flit between the background of eachothers videos, Dean bringing Cas tea or helping him get to certain places, Cas handing Dean tools etc, Sam is asked about it constantly cuz he’s credited as their editor, he makes a video where he’s going feral over how stupid they are, it goes viral

Nah. not my jam. The most I've written is kissing.

Gonna get real 2014 on you when I say this. Destiel. I was obsessed with SPN in high school and that shit show of a ship still remains #1.

14. What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?

Like. All my BNHA and SPN fics. I'd like to finish my BNHA fics but like. I don't think it's gonna happen

15. What are your writing strengths?

I'm told I write angst well. I think I write emotional scenes/dialogue well, but I can't be sure. I'm my own worst critique.

16. What are your writing weaknesses?

I want to say fight scenes but I think a few of my friends would fight me on that.

17. What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

Gonna be honest, never really thought of it. If it's non important dialogue, I write it in the og language. If it's important, italicized in English.

Harry Potter. It was a self insert oc (but not really).

Non, I think. I write what I want to when I want to. The only things I haven't written are ideas I'm too scared to flesh out (for fandoms I have already written for).

hello friends, i am BACK!!! sort of? mostly.

so here’s the deal. i haven’t posted fanfic in nearly 2 years. i’ve been unwell, and now i am less unwell. and now i have a stack of 9 new fanfics in my drafts, with a word count altogether totaling close to 300k. i intend to post one fic a week, starting on october 7th 2022. half of them are illustrated, and i’ll illustrate the rest nearer their posting dates.

but here’s the thing. these stories are for a fandom that once consisted of like... 3 people, and those people haven’t posted in years. on my last count, there’s about 23 fics in existence already. it’s a subfolder of a fandom. it does not exist. please join me in making it exist.

here’s everything you need to know (ugh let me engage my shift key, i need to capitalise names)

Redd “Rabbit Claw” Moonshine and Lohn Lightning are fictional characters from a youtube show i love: “Good Mythical Morning”. the characters were invented in 2008, given names in 2013, and were last seen in 2020.

Redd and Lohn were childhood friends, and now they’re redneck country music singers trying really hard to be famous. their two-man band is named “Rabbit Lightning”. and that’s the name of their ship, too.

i cut together a 20 minute video containing their ENTIRE history and backstory and relationship. literally every single thing you will ever need to know about them to understand my fics is contained within this video. (source links to original videos are pinned in the comments.)

if you ever liked my Destiel AUs, you’d like these fics, and these characters. i had to fight to not write them exactly the way i’d write Dean and Cas, because in some ways, they’re exactly the same.

Lohn: blue-eyed, dark-haired, clueless, awkward, dominating when he decides to be, touch-starved, sexuality.exe is corrupted, unusually formal speech, pastimes include staring at Redd with hearteyes and watching bees, loves animals.

Redd: green-eyed, browny-blonde-haired, freckles, taller than Lohn, bi panic mode, caring, grumpy, adores kids, has love to give in every direction, absent father with questionable teaching methods, Do Not Touch (please touch), loves rabbits.

if you ever got to know me on zoom during Sid City Social Club meetings, or via discord, or saw me interact with Mr. Siddig, you’ll understand where my first fic (”The Worst Jukebox in Arcadia”) is rooted. heck, if you’ve ever struggled to be creative for people who expect something, you’ll know where it comes from.

anyway. i love these two, they make me unbelievably happy, and gave me space to be creative in deeply personal ways that i always needed but never knew i needed. no other characters exist fleshed-out in what passes for their “canon”, so i get to invent them, which has been a delight for me.

help hi guys i wasn't actually expecting anyone to go for it but here it is!! this was my silly little project that i worked on during down time at work today. please don't ask me why i shaded it like this because i'm not actually very sure myself

for a bit of context, i provide you with this 11.5 youtube video on this guy who bred the world's hottest peppers (including the carolina reaper!!). he has, i think, the world's most fascinating vibes. but i think my favorite part (timestamp 6:42) was when he said he met his future wife, and she, and i quote from the video "called [him] a funny little man". and then he made salsa that was apparently so good that it won her over, which like help?? anyway i immediately went destiel au because I'm normal

i did actually consider doing things the other way around, but the thought of cas winning dean over with just. some really fucking good salsa (it was peach mango salsa in the vid and ... peach mango pie ... i've had a cas accidentally seduces dean with pie au bouncing around in my head for over a year) was too good to pass up. also the guy ? uses extremely spicy food as like a replacement high which is just? hi? anyway he's fascinating and also he spends all day cross-pollinating plants. cas behavior

so here's a little pepper farmer cas who meets dean and is like. wow i want to get to know this guy but dean is like :( i can't eat spicy food but that's like the only thing cas knows. but cas is undeterred. in the wake of their failed could-have-been-friendship, he figures out how to make a good salsa. he finds people with no spice tolerance to make sure that it won't actually like sear dean's tastebuds off

mahonia ⇢ what place, thing, activity inspires you most and how do you express yourself when it does?

usually is music most of the time, i've created whole fanfics based on a 3 minute song without issue before. or is a certain niche topic or historical fact i learned recently. other times, is when i go on hiking trips or vacations to mexico or somewhere else in europe.

i can get inspired by basically anything. since my brain connects dots most people don't even know exists (basically how my first fanfic, the spn destiel one, incarnation come to be. just combined two AUs into one that i had seen on youtube as trailers).

it depends on how i'm inspired, really. but if its a fanfic idea, i put into my fanfic notes for future fanfics (is why i never worry about new ideas for fanfics, i can always pick and chose in whatever i feel like writing, because i've so many).

jasmine ⇢ do you have a movie or book you loved but will never watch/read again?

probably beowulf. amazing movie, but not something i'll watch again. extremely graphic violence even for my tastes (and i can stomach a lot, i can promise you that). i love that they actually respected the norse saga in it, though.

which hollywood productions rarely do these days.

i would tell them i've gotten a calico kitten named mai. that my progress in getting my proper mental health is currently stuck. and still not allowed to get on anxiety meds. i've completed a horror gay story chapter i posted ca a month ago. and i'm still trying to work through that hell month.

a relief. kind of. complicated. but i'll gather my pieces and play the chess as i was taught to; no rash decisions, wait and observe. what stays hidden, always comes to light one way or another. and i'm expert at it.
