A new challenger has risen

in light of Tales of the Empire being released next month, I want to once again bring up the idea of Star Wars: What If.

What if Ahsoka was actually assigned to Obi Wan?

(the obvious) What if Anakin never turned to the Dark Side?

What if Padme had joined Anakin on Mustafar?

What if Qui Gon had survived Naboo?

What if Vader had survived the end of RotJ?

What if Obi Wan actually did leave the order for Satine?

What if Yoda was secretly working with the Sith the whole time?

WHAT IF FIVES HAD SUCCEEDED?

Thinking about what the big climax of the show would have been if we did get Cody in the Obi-Wan Kenobi show. Like there would have to be a moment Reva sees him. One of the clones that slaughtered her family.

But everything is wrong. It's all reversed. She's the one trying to kill a youngling, and the clone is in front of her, trying to protect him. Maybe she's injured him, but he refuses to allow her to get close. He knows she's going to kill him, but he's stalling for time. He thinks Obi-Wan Kenobi will come and save the boy.

It's like the what should have happened. The Sith attacks, but the Clone Troopers defend, and the Jedi Master arrives and saves them. It's the exact senario that never happened. It's an unfair roll reversal.

And here it is she can kill the clone. One of the beings that killed her family. She can kill the son of Darth Vader. She can get revenge on two fronts.

Except it's just killing the last part of who she used to be.

And so she completes the what should have happened.

She does what Anakin Skywalker should have done. She is a Jedi Knight, carrying an unconcious youngling and supporting an injured clone trooper and they meet the Jedi Master that came to save them, and everyone is alive.

And everything isn't okay, but it's her first step.

Oh damn it… those two are making me emotional.. I would have wished them both peace and a good ending. Unfortunately, the drama makes this story so perfect and so I cry myself to sleep. Haha 🥲

I'd never thought I'd see the day Hayden Christensen return as Anakin Skywalker and then he returned in the Kenobi series. But I especially never thought I'd see Hayden in Anakin's Clone Wars Armor....So Dave Filoni I IMPLORE YOU TO GIVE US EWAN MCGREGOR IN OBI-WAN'S CLONE WARS ARMOR.

Friendly reminder that one of the things created by legends was the concept of the force having a light side.

The "Light Side" is never mentioned in any of the original movies, only the Dark Side.

So besides the boundless mysteries of the force, part of the governing forces of the sw universe is dedicated to healing, growth and love.

And I think that's just beautiful

Oh my god, amazing idea

For the 50th anniversary of A New Hope, Lucasfilm should get Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen together to recreate Obi-Wan and Vader's final duel (they'd be about the right ages, Obi-Wan and Vader are 57 and 41 in ANH and Ewan and Hayden will be 56 and 46 in 2027)

Like, they deserve to act out the "conclusion" of their characters (you could also film them meeting post mortem after Anakin's death in rotj), release it as a disney + special

Not having watched any of the Disney shows and being on tumblr is hilarious because scrolling my dash is like,

“Ahsoka is the best show in the world, such feelings, her character arc is so deep and here’s why it’s a beautiful continuation from clone wars—”

“—stupid fucking nostalgia bait, totally destroyed her character by completely ignoring her character arc in clone wars to make her into a Jedi hating sad face—”

“Kenobi was soooo good for Obi-Wan and Anakin's characters I cannot breathe--this fight, that fight, the fire, omg. devastating—”

“—pacing was shit, the story was mid at best, they had to have anakin state obiwan's character arc out loud??? reva's arc was pretty cool. anyway here's my twelve step plan for how i would've—”

“Din saw grogu and was like ‘adoption papers please’ omg so cute! Mandalorians are such parents; dilf! dilf! dilf! di—”

“—wish everyone would stop forgetting it took like ten seasons for Din to stop trying to pawn grogu off on passing strangers—”

And genuinely I'm willing to be convinced by any and all of these ideas at any given moment.
