fellows for pride month im getting a compound microscope to complete my lichen identification setup. cant hold it in anymore cant keep it back
#for those not acquainted#the optimal lichen ID setup has both a compound and a dissecting microscope#you use the dissecting scope to inspect the creature and do chemical tests (although tbh some chemical tests you dont need it)#and you use the dissecting scope to search for spores and look at smaller structures. usually reproductive structures bc lichens love those#my old compound scope wasn't great but it died. it was my fault. did not take the batteries out and moved like 3 times#tried to do surgery on it to clean it. prognosis was grim#side note if i had a nickle for every microscope ive done surgery on id have 3 nickles which isnt a lot but its weird it happened 3 times#lichens

the implications....
folie a deux meaning / folie a deux album cover / pete's bear hat(s)
#myevilposts#pete wentz#also the teddy bear rug would be fun to mention in this discussion but these ones are more serious.#the thing with pw is that sometimes he does things that are so devious and strategic and genius and sneaky and poignant#and other times it just seems that way and was actually just him being silly.#this goes both ways btw.#like a lot of mania era stuff i feel was mocked as him being silly but was actually deep and then a lot of older stuff#that people obsess over dissecting was actually Not That Deep on his account at least.#it's kinda not his fault that he's a cartoon character. kinda. but he knows how to lean into it.#pw understands camp better than 99% of users on this website tbh.#fall out boy#also pete and bebe wearing matching bear hats during hiatus. is like exactly what i'm talking about. lol.#the implication being that the bear/becoming a bear represents embracing the madness and becoming one with the grizzly bear#that the human in the bear costume is carrying on the folie cover.#i feel like it's not a coincidence that the guy looks like pete too. it might be but i always figured it was intentional.#the grizzly bear/real life equivalent to the madness of folie a deux as a condition is open to interpretation more#i think. obviously it could represent the co dependence between pete and patrick. but it could also#represent pete's marriage as a whole to the band/his work.#i think it's most noteworthy again that he wore the bear hat matching with bebe DURING HIATUS.#similarly to the stump club shirt i feel like it's pretty clear he was incredibly torn up about the hiatus.#maybe it's that pete had a co dependent relationship with his public image/identity within the scope of fob's fame.#A LOT of black cards calls back to fob / is in response to or commentary of his fame from fob.#because of course it did/was. fob was intrinsic to his celebrityhood. and that celebrityhood obviously was intrinsic to him.#this is not to downplay the other aspects of his identity. the opposite actually.#especially considering that his public image was so skewed and dumbed down and he was rightfully very upset about that#and that is very prevalent/important/vital i think to understanding things like black cards as a whole.

Impasse.
Yan Chrollo x F Reader
Warnings: Yandere themes, unhealthy relationships, captivity, Reader makes a joke about dying, discussions of parenthood, some not SFW implications. Word count: 2k.
Chrollo has been acting strange today.
You’ve been hesitant to acknowledge this shift. For better or for worse, the two of you have fallen into a routine. It’s a strained routine, yes, but it provides a degree of stability otherwise missing from your upended life. To put it simply, you bother him and he bothers you. There’s some nuance — for instance, your schemes are limited in scope, owing to a power imbalance so unfair you think the universe owes you a solid. Nonetheless, you’re proud to say you’ve hurt his feelings once or twice. Then there’s his part. He specializes in picking your brain, making you uncomfortable by pretending he’s normal, and making you uncomfortable when he quits pretending.
He's abstained from any of these behaviors since this morning. This pushes you past the ‘uncomfortable’ threshold, now you’re nervous.
This is made worse when he looks you dead in the eye and asks, “Have you ever wanted children?”
“Children?” You repeat, your voice not dissimilar to a mouse’s squeak. “Like, kids?”
There’s a brief glimpse of amusement on his countenance, but he’s quick to redirect your focus. “Whichever word you prefer.”
You study him. Presently, you’re sitting atop a barstool overlooking the area’s living space, while he leans against a nearby support column. He’s changed into his evening attire, a loose white shirt and gray sweatpants. You’re not so fortunate. You’re still paying for an indiscretion committed earlier in the week. Consequently, your wardrobe has been reduced to his preferred aesthetics. You’re wearing a black nightgown with thin spaghetti straps and lace embellishments.
Given your vulnerable position, risqué outfit, and his not-so-subtle interest in wooing you, the potential implications inspire discomfort. You shrink into yourself. What is he getting at? You’ve managed to avoid most of his physical advances, but you’re not delusional; if he willed it, you’d be at his mercy. You always feared he was operating on an invisible timer known only to him, each passing second bringing you closer to—
“You’re overthinking things,” he notes. “I have no ulterior motives. I’m simply curious.”
“Curious?” you repeat back, cautious.
He nods.
“What brought this ‘curiosity’ about?”
Chrollo stares at you. You can feel his eyes dissecting everything, from your closed-off body language to your barely concealed hostility.
“... I see,” he eventually says. “You won’t trust me without context. Very well. It’s nothing so grand. Though, in return for my honesty, I expect yours. Does that sound fair?”
Feigning nonchalance, you shrug. “I guess.”
He stands to his full height and walks over, pulling out the barstool to your left. He doesn’t intrude on your personal space, but his proximity has you shuffling to the right. He allows you your meager defiance.
“Last night, I had a dream,” he starts. Then, a pause. He’s giving his word choice unusual consideration. “In it, we were married… or maybe not. Whatever the case, it was a far more conventional lifestyle. You had to take a phone call — with your mother, I believe — so you asked me to watch over two names I’d never heard before. They bore such a resemblance to you. Aside from their eyes, that is.”
You wonder if he’s aware that he’s smiling.
Chrollo clears his throat. “As I said, it’s nothing so grand.”
It’s your turn to scrutinize him. You might not be a virtuoso in the art like he is, but you have your methods. What strikes you is how much of himself he revealed, unwittingly or by design, although the latter suits him better. He must have decided it was a worthwhile sacrifice for any insight you’ll give.
“Kids… they always sounded nice to me, in theory. Except for when I was a teenager. I was vehemently against the idea then,” you can’t help chuckling at the memory. “I don’t know. I guess I came around to the thought again, but… it’d only be after I established myself. Solid career, housing, whatever. And, of course, the right partner.”
You’re sure your side eye doesn’t go unnoticed.
“Not that any of that is in the cards anymore. You’re not delusional enough to think otherwise, right?”
The skin beneath his eyes crinkles. “And if I was?”
“I’d fling myself off a balcony.”
“I wish you wouldn’t say such things.”
You begin picking at a stray thread on the hem of your nightgown. “Yeah, well, I wish for a lot of things that don’t come true.”
“I suppose we’re alike in that regard.”
“Gross,” you make a face. Pursing your lips, you hesitantly ask, “Was that really all you had on your mind? You’ve been so…”
“So…?” He repeats, matching your inflection. It goads you along.
“Pensive? Gloomy? Something to that effect. It’s like there’s this little rain cloud floating over you.”
You motion to the space above his head where the proverbial rain cloud would be.
“A few days ago, you said some choice words,” Chrollo recalls, much to your displeasure. You were hoping he’d leave that in the past. “They left an impression.”
You swallow thickly. “I’m sorry.”
Chrollo gives a smile that doesn’t reach his eyes. “Lying isn’t one of your strong suits; I suggest avoiding it.”
While shifting around in your seat, you wish you could turn invisible.
“During your little outburst, you asked if I was ‘happy’ with how things are. An interesting question, to say the least. I’ve given it some thought.”
Svelte fingers graze your jawline. You stiffen up, every muscle seizing into place, as if you’d been paralyzed. His touch is gentle, almost featherlight. Your pulse quickens like you’re a lamb awaiting slaughter. Staring straight ahead, you desperately search for some object to fixate on. You settle on the support column. An avant-garde clock sits high on it, the bottom half of its frame drooping, as if it were paint splashed against a wall.
You count the seconds as they pass. Two, four, ten…
His fingers tighten around your jaw and he turns you to face him.
What a sight you must be — cheeks squished together, eyebrows high, lips agape. And then there’s him. He’s frowning, but aside from that, you can’t get a read on him. The intensity of his gaze holds you captive. Without warning, he leans forward, tilting his head slightly as he does so. You squeeze your eyes shut. You can feel his warm breath fan against your face, how he strengthens his grip, likely anticipating resistance.
“How can I be ‘happy’ when you’re still so adverse to my touch?” Chrollo whispers, his lips brushing against yours as he talks. You fight the urge to cringe. “What will it take to have you where I want you?”
After what feels like an eternity, he lets you go, but doesn’t move back.
You reopen your eyes. You’re more familiar with the man sitting before you, if only by a fraction. Even then, an unnerving atmosphere lingers, speckling your skin in goosebumps. You wrap your arms around yourself and exhale. The consequences from that day’s lapse in judgment have been manageable until now.
Your day-to-day existence is defined by a lack of control. Over where you’ll go, what you’ll do, even what you can wear. Chrollo is the composer of your life and you’re his pièce de résistance, whom he always makes adjustments to. You must match his tempo or scramble to catch up. This paradigm has slowly yet surely eroded you, sanding over your harsh edges until you’re soft to the touch.
You wanted to hurt him, wanted him to feel what jagged pieces remain, but now that you may have accomplished just that, you’re burdened by regret.
Not for what you did.
No, for what you possibly started.
“Chrollo.”
“Hm?”
“How much of me are you willing to destroy to get what you want?”
Chrollo lets out a low hum, as if the hypothetical you presented him with was nothing so unthinkable. This alone stokes your anxiety. Sometimes you wonder if this is not already the path you’re being ushered towards. He’s amassed victories, some small, others sizable. You’re far more docile now compared to when he first took you. Back then, you could barely function, panic ruled your every waking thought and seeped into your dreams, denying every respite.
“You have the wrong idea,” Chrollo asserts. “I don’t want to destroy any element of you. All I’d like is a change in perspective.”
You gawk at him. “Huh?”
“Haven’t I proven I’m not as terrible as you feared?” he questions, tilting his head. “I could’ve been every bit the monster you imagined me to be, if not worse.”
“Should I— do you expect gratitude, or something?”
Mirth dances in his eyes like flecks of ember. “It wouldn’t hurt, but no. All I’m suggesting is that you cease torturing yourself for the sake of pride.”
“I don’t get what you’re talking about.”
“Don’t you, though?” he challenges, his confidence vexing. “Patience is one of the few virtues I have, but it’s finite. Your love of testing it grows tiresome.”
You watch as the thread you were tugging at snaps off, fluttering to the marble floor. Your trembling fingers long for another task to occupy themselves with. He sounds as composed as ever, yet beneath the façade, microscopic fissures are forming. You’ve been chiselling at him in your own way. Testing what you can go away with, what remains taboo. Have you finally stumbled into the latter?
Or was it something else?
Recalling the muted delight on his features when he recounted his dream, you frown.
You’ve always believed the human mind’s capacity to dream is its cruelest gimmick.
Nightmares are no stranger to scorn — those phantasmagorias that play feature length-films of your fears and insecurities. You’re made to be an unwilling member of the audience, every frame composed with malicious intent. These night terrors deserve their ill-begotten reputation.
What doesn’t get enough credit for hurting just as much, if not more, are lovely dreams. The idyllic, the picturesque, the unobtainable. They are a heartache you gladly hold the door open for. Once inside, your inner world is redesigned. The spectacle is so dazzling that you come to prefer it over reality. Dreams, both good and bad, are destined to end. For every long nightmare you awake from, there is a paradise you had mere seconds to explore.
From the corner of your eye you glance at Chrollo.
For such a greedy man, the dream he fondly recounted is so unremarkable, you almost find it pitiful.
“That’s quite the conundrum,” you murmur. “Oh?”
“You don’t want me to be debilitated by terror, but I’m still supposed to fear you enough to stay in line.”
“How astute.”
“Is there really no other way?” You ask, scrunching your eyebrows together. “Couldn’t you just let me go and share in my joy? Surely, that must be better than having me glare at you twenty-four seven.”
Chrollo chuckles, as if the suggestion you presented is a nonsensical fantasy.
“I’m not a good enough man to do that, love. You never noticed all the things I did. People are drawn to you. You’re equal parts endearing and naive, it’s an alluring combination. I can’t stand idly by and watch others take from you what I want most.”
“... How long were you stalking me, exactly?”
He gives an enigmatic smile. “I’ll leave that to your imagination.”
Before you can do just that, he gives your thigh an unwelcome squeeze.
“Let’s call it a night,” he says, his casual tone belying how the statement’s an order. “Tomorrow will be a busy day.”
You don’t bother voicing your newfound apprehensions. Instead, you wordlessly hop down from your seat, scanning your surroundings for a path to the master bedroom. The home is sparsely lit, but you manage to find your way. You pause at the lack of a second set of footsteps. Chrollo had gotten into the habit of walking audibly at your request, as you found his former silence ‘off-putting.’
You discover he’s yet to get up himself, seemingly lost in thought. “You aren’t coming?”
“In a moment,” he responds. "Go on ahead."
It feels like his eyes are on you even after you’ve left the room.

might just blow it

— pairing: jung hoseok x f!reader
— playlist: danger - txt, smoke sprite - rm, fuxxin' love - OoOo, 24 hours - jimmy brown, steel - 365 feat dana kim
— summary: Revenge is a dish best served hot, and Hoseok might have pushed your buttons, but he’ll soon learn just what happens when the tables turn. Spoiler: You might be the one getting a lesson but it's fun to play with fire.
— word count: 8.1k (like 5k of this is probably filth y’all)
— warnings: pwp, established relationship, unprotected sex, hobi is kinda a possesive man, f! masturbation, degradation, bratty reader, little breath play, hoseok has a filthy mouth and idk what else, they were possesed by a sex demon in this piece
— note: this is entirely inspired by the craze of what the hope on the stage tour has been giving us for the past months and more specifically THIS whatever the hell was going on with this man that night i have been thinking about it for over a month and this piece of extremely self indulgent horny craze was born. this is my first ever post here, hope you enjoy it! english isn't my first language! please let me know what you think

The second he steps on stage, he wrecks you.
It doesn’t matter how many times you’ve seen him perform—he always leaves you breathless. Ruthless. A storm in human form. The second the lights hit him, the crowd erupts, and suddenly, you're nothing but need in a sea of screams.
You’re not backstage tonight. You’re in the VIP section—closer to him, somehow further from him. The Hope on Tour shirt clings to your body, damp with sweat, your ARMY bomb held in a death grip. No one around you knows the truth. No one knows that the man they’re screaming for—aching for—is yours. You think of those TikToks, smug and stupid: They don’t know I’m his girlfriend. But you do. You know it in the way your body thrums just watching him. You know it in the ache pooling low in your belly. You know it in the fact that you’ve kept him a secret, selfishly, fiercely. Because he’s not a fantasy. He’s real. And he’s yours.
And tonight, he’s out for blood.
You can’t take your eyes off him. Every move is designed to destroy. He dances like he’s fucking the beat into the floor. He raps like he wants to bite. And every time he gets near your section, it’s like he’s looking straight through the noise—straight at you.
Then he smiles.
Not just any smile. That one. The one that says he knows exactly what he’s doing. The one that makes your knees buckle.
And then—forty minutes in—it happens.
Hangsang.
Your pulse spikes. You love this song. At least, you did. Right up until he decides to ruin your life with it.
He makes his way to your section. Slow. Measured. A predator in perfect control.
And then?
He fucking does it.
A casual gesture, at first. One he could get away with. Until he doesn’t. Until his gaze locks on yours like a sniper scope, until he bites his lip and drags his fingers across it like he's testing your patience on purpose.
And then—God help you—he slips those fingers into his mouth. Slow. Deep. Tongue flicking against the tips like he’s tasting you instead.
Your stomach drops. Your thighs clench. You swear you see a thread of spit glisten in the lights.
And then—
Oh, no.
His hand lifts. Fingers curl into the air, sin made physical. A motion you know intimately, one he’s used on you in the dark, against the wall, under the sheets. One that never fails to make you unravel.
Two seconds. That’s all it takes.
The crowd loses its mind—screams, gasps, cries of disbelief. You can already see the fancams being clipped, slowed down, dissected frame by frame.
And he’s still watching you.
Smirking.
Like he knows you’re already soaked through your panties. Like he knows exactly how you’ll fall apart the second he gets you alone. And fuck—he does.
Because Hoseok isn’t just a performer. He’s a menace. A devil in glitter and sweat.
And you know—know—what’s coming later. The teasing. The cocky little tilt of his head. The filthy whisper, hot against your skin:
Couldn’t handle that, baby? You looked so pretty about to cry.
You hate him for it.
But not nearly as much as you love him for it.
When the show ends, and he gives his closing speech, the switch flips. Suddenly he’s not the sin-dripping demon who just mimed fucking the air with his fingers.
He’s just Hoseok.
Hair damp with sweat, eyes glassy with emotion. His voice cracks as he thanks the crowd, thanks the fans, thanks you—without saying it. You see it in the way he clutches his chest, the way he breathes like every second is a gift.
You look at him and feel your heart stretch to bursting.
Your boyfriend is a paradox. Pure chaos. Pure light. He destroys and he heals. And somehow, impossibly, he’s yours.

Backstage is a blur of movement and sound, but your senses are locked on him. Jung Hoseok, still glistening with sweat, flushed from the high of performing, is leaning against a table, chugging water like he didn't just ruin lives for two hours straight. The towel draped around his shoulders does little to distract from the sharp cut of his jaw, the soaked-through shirt clinging to his chest, the glint in his eyes when he spots you.
He doesn’t say anything at first.
Just watches you approach with that look—the one he saves for private moments. The one that says he knows. Knows exactly what he did out there.
You stop in front of him, arms crossed. “You’re so full of yourself.”
Hoseok raises a brow. “Me? What did I do?”
You scoff. “Don’t play innocent. That thing during ‘Hangsang’? You really went with that move?”
He shrugs, a smug tilt to his mouth. “Felt right in the moment.”
“In the moment?” You glare. “You looked me dead in the eye while doing it.”
“Ah,” he says, tapping his fingers against the bottle, voice lowering, “so you admit you were watching me.”
You roll your eyes. “You were practically fucking the air.”
His smile sharpens. “Was I?”
He pushes off the table, stepping in close. Too close. Heat radiates from him like a furnace, and his voice drops to a murmur just for you. “You didn’t like it?”
“I liked it too much, and you know it.”
He hums. “Then what’s the problem?”
“The problem,” you hiss, pulse spiking, “is that now I can’t think straight and you’re standing here like you didn’t just mouthfuck your own fingers and ruin my entire nervous system.”
He lets out a soft laugh, biting down on his lip like he’s trying not to lose it. His eyes flick down, catching the way your chest rises with each breath. When they return to yours, they’re darker. Hungrier.
“I was just giving a little performance,” he says. “You looked like you needed the reminder.”
You narrow your eyes. “Of what?”
He leans in, lips nearly grazing your ear. “What happens when I actually put my mouth on you.”
Your breath catches—right as a voice cuts through the hallway.
“Hyung! You’ve got five minutes ‘til the send-off!”
You both freeze. Hoseok pulls back with a tight breath, jaw clenching as he throws a nod over his shoulder. “Got it!”
Then his eyes settle back on you. “We’re not done.”
“Oh, I know.”

The energy between you crackles. Neither of you moves as a stylist swoops in to blot the sweat on his forehead, mumbling something about lighting. You barely hear it. Hoseok’s hand brushes your waist as he steps around you, not-so-accidentally dragging fingertips along your side before pulling away completely.
The send-off is a blur, fan signs and waves and cameras flashing. You follow at a distance, trying to keep yourself together, but it’s impossible. Every time he glances back, every time he smiles too wide or bites down on that lip, you feel it unraveling again.
And then you’re in the car.
The doors shut.
Silence.
He’s beside you, legs spread wide, chest still rising and falling too fast. The windows are tinted, the divider up. Just the two of you now.
You glance at him. He’s staring out the window like nothing happened. Like he didn’t just press you to the edge of combustion and walk away.
But his knee bumps yours.
Once.
Twice.
Then stays there.
He turns slowly, lips twitching. “I’m going live in ten.”
You nod, voice tight. “Mm. You better hurry. You look like someone who needs a little help calming down.”
He chuckles, deep and wrecked. “Baby, you’re the reason I’m like this.”
And you sit there, burning, limbs aching, the space between you electric and unbearable.
Neither of you touches.
Not yet.
But god—you both want to.
The hotel room is quiet when you walk in. Clean, modern, luxurious—but it barely registers.
Hoseok heads straight for the desk setup by the window, pulling out his phone and propping it up on a mini tripod. His makeup is barely touched up, hair still messy in that post-show, too-good-to-be-legal way. He mutters something about checking the Wi-Fi, tapping through settings with a frown.
You trail in slower, pretending to be unaffected, but you’re boiling.
And you want payback.
“You starting the live now?” you ask, voice light.
He glances back at you. “In a minute. Why?”
You shrug, toeing off your shoes. “Just wondering how long I have to behave.”
That gets his attention. His head tilts, a knowing smile twitching at his lips. “Don't start something you can't finish, baby.”
“Who says I won’t?”
He shakes his head, amused, and turns back to his phone, hitting the “go live” button before you can say more. The app lights up, comments immediately flooding in as the view count climbs.
“Hey guys,” he says, voice warm, tired but happy. “Just got back from the show. You guys were crazy tonight…”
You sit on the edge of the bed, watching him talk. He’s glowing—soaked in adrenaline and affection, eyes scanning the screen like he’s genuinely soaking up every word. You almost feel bad.
Almost.
You stand, slow and quiet, padding over to where he sits.
He notices. Barely. A flick of his eyes toward you, then back to the camera.
And then you straddle his lap.
He freezes.
It’s subtle—no one on the live can see—but you feel it. The sharp inhale. The tension in his thighs. The way his hands hover, unsure whether to push you off or pull you closer.
You drape your arms loosely around his shoulders, mouth close, almost right beside his ear. “Smile for the fans, Hobi.”
He shifts in the chair, clearly trying to look casual, but you’re sitting right on him—weight pressing into his hips. He clears his throat, waves at the screen.
“Yeah, so I’ll talk about the setlist in a sec,” he says, voice a pitch higher than before. “I just, uh…”
You roll your hips.
Slow. Torturous.
His breath catches audibly.
You suppress a grin.
His eyes dart to the screen, then to you. “Baby,” he warns, lips barely moving.
“Hmm?” You bat your lashes, kissing the shell of his ear.
“Stop.”
“Make me.”
His jaw clenches. The comments keep flying—fans asking why he’s blushing, if the room’s too warm, why he’s suddenly looking down every few seconds.
He tries to power through. Tries to focus. He starts talking about his favorite moment during “Just Dance,” but his voice keeps stuttering. His hands grip the edge of the chair so hard his knuckles go white.
You grind down again. Barely.
He mutters something in Korean under his breath.
Then he’s done.
“I—I’ll talk to you guys later,” he says, too fast. “I need to—rest. Yeah.”
He ends the live with a stiff wave, slamming his phone down the second the stream cuts.
Silence.
You lean in, innocent. “Everything okay, Hobi?”
He looks at you. And he snaps.
In one motion, he lifts you, flips you onto the bed, and crawls on top of you with a growl in his throat and murder in his eyes—sweet, delicious murder.
“You think that was funny?”
You grin, breathless already. “A little.”
He leans in, mouth brushing yours. “You’re gonna regret that.”
“I don't think so.”
He hovers over you, hands planted on either side of your head, breathing hard.
His eyes are wild—half disbelief, half dark amusement—and all of it aimed directly at you.
“You think this is a game?” he murmurs, low and dangerous.
You blink up at him, face the picture of innocence. “Didn’t you start it, Mr. ‘Let Me Finger the Air Like a Pornstar in Front of Thousands’?”
His nostrils flare. “That was performance. This—” he gestures between your bodies, hips brushing yours with almost-zero restraint, “—this is personal.”
“And?” you whisper, one hand sliding up the back of his neck, threading into his hair. “You gonna punish me or talk me to death?”
That does it.
He jerks back like your touch burns. Stands. Paces.
You watch from the bed, smug, legs still slightly spread from where he left you.
He’s trying to get it together. Chest rising and falling, hands tugging at the hem of his shirt, jaw flexing like he’s biting back a thousand curses. He drags both hands down his face, then breathes out a laugh that sounds half-wrecked.
“You’re unbelievable,” he mutters, shaking his head.
You sit up slowly. Swing your legs over the side of the bed, take your sweet time walking up behind him. You press your chest against his back, let your fingers drift just under the waistband of his pants. Just a taste.
“Tell me to stop,” you murmur.
He doesn’t.
“Tell me you didn’t love every second of it.”
Still nothing.
You pull back just enough to tease, but he catches your wrist before you can fully retreat. Spins around, pulling you against him in a hard, unyielding grip.
“You want to play games?” he growls. “Fine. We’ll play.”
His hands drop to your hips, fingers digging in. He leans down, lips brushing yours—so close, but not touching.
“But you don’t get to win.”
Then—again—he lets go.
Backs away. Grabs a water bottle from the table and drinks like it’ll douse the fire in him. It won’t.
“You’re not gonna touch me?” you ask, head tilted just enough to be a challenge. Your pulse is thrumming in your neck, fast and furious, and he can see it—feels it.
Hoseok takes a slow sip from his water bottle, his eyes never leaving yours. Then, licking the last drop from his bottom lip, he smirks. “You’re not ready.”
Your brows lift, mocking. “Excuse me?”
“You heard me,” he murmurs, voice low, cocky. “You’re not ready for what I’d do to you if I actually started touching you.”
You scoff, but the heat that coils in your belly betrays you instantly. Your thighs press together on instinct. God, you hate how right he might be.
But now—it’s about pride. About holding your ground. About not letting him win just because he knows exactly what buttons to press.
You cross your arms, eyes gleaming. “Coward.”
He tilts his head, tongue poking into his cheek as he smiles. Dangerous. Ferocious. “Keep talking, baby,” he warns, rising from the edge of the bed. “You’ll be flat on your back before you can blink.”
You raise a brow. “Big words for someone who rage-quit a livestream because he got hard on camera.”
He lunges.
You shriek, laughing, twisting, but he’s too quick. In a second, he’s got you pinned under him again, his hands bracketing your shoulders, his knee sliding between your legs like he owns the space there.
The smile on his face is feral—unchained. “You think you're funny, huh?” he growls, breath ghosting over your lips. “You think I won’t wreck you right now for that little stunt?”
You grin, wicked and bright. “Mmm, you like it nasty, babe?” you purr, fingers dancing up the line of his jaw. “Should’ve thought better before acting up on stage. That little finger trick?” You click your tongue. “You started it.”
He growls again—deep, from his chest, like you’ve touched something raw.
You lean up, give him a light kiss on the cheek. A tease. Nothing more. Then you start to wriggle out from under him. “I’m gonna go clean up. Make myself comfortable.”
You say it like a threat. And it is.
But the second you try to move, his arms tighten, locking you in place.
“Oh, hell no,” he says, voice rough. “You don’t get to kiss me like that and walk away all smug, acting like you didn’t just hijack my entire f—” he swallows hard, eyes dragging over your body like he’s trying to rein it all back in. “You’re not going anywhere until I say so.”
You laugh again, but it’s breathless this time—your own composure slipping. His body is hot, solid, and there, and every move he makes only pushes you deeper into the mattress.
Still, you raise your chin. “You can’t keep me here forever, Hobi.”
He dips down, lips brushing your jaw, your neck, that spot behind your ear that makes your knees go weak—even when you’re lying down.
“Baby,” he whispers, voice like velvet over a razor’s edge. “You think I’m the one losing control right now?”
Your stomach flips.
“Go on,” he adds, letting up just enough for you to slide out from under him. “Run off. Get comfortable. But when I’m done being nice—” his gaze drops, slow and hot—“you’ll be the one begging to stay in bed.”
And he flops back on the mattress, watching you walk away with hooded eyes and a smirk that promises vengeance.

You shut the bathroom door behind you, but not all the way.
Just enough for him to hear everything. Just enough for him to wonder if you left it ajar on purpose.
You flick on the light and catch your reflection in the mirror—cheeks flushed, lips kiss-bitten, pupils blown wide. You look wrecked already and he hasn’t even touched you properly. It’s power. It’s delicious.
And you’re going to make him feel every second of it.
You peel off your shirt with slow, deliberate movements, knowing he can hear the whisper of fabric, the creak of the floorboards, the soft clink of your necklace hitting the counter. You don’t say a word. Let his mind fill in the gaps.
You hear him shift in the bed. Restless.
Then the tap runs. You rinse your face, run your hands through your hair. Still quiet. Still calculated.
Then, when the silence gets too loud, you hum.
Soft and lazy. Just loud enough for it to carry.
“Hmmm,” you sigh to yourself, like you're very pleased with how things are going. Then: “This lingerie might be too much.”
You hear him curse.
You smile. God, you’re having so much fun.
And you keep going. “Or not enough.”
“Baby,” his voice comes through the door, already strained. “Don’t fuck with me right now.”
“Who’s fucking with you?” you chirp sweetly. “I’m just getting comfortable”
You pause. Let it sit. Let him stew in it.
Then, in a voice soaked in sugar: “You good out there?”
The bed creaks again. Louder this time. You imagine him pacing, or palming himself over those sweatpants he threw on in a rush, maybe thinking about how it felt when you sat in his lap before, shifting just so, how your scent’s probably still on his fingers. Still on his skin.
You press your thighs together and try to stay composed.
This is revenge. Sweet, slow-burning revenge. And you’re winning.
“If you want,” you murmur, voice light and laced with mischief, “I could show you what I picked out…”
Silence.
Then—bang.
A sharp thud against the wall. You can’t tell if it’s his fist or the dresser or his skull, but whatever it is, it sounds violent.
You bite back a smile, high on the power. Teasing him like this is too easy.
“Get out here,” he snarls. “Now.”
You scoff, amused. “You didn’t even say please.”
There’s no pause this time.
“I don’t fucking care. I’m tired.” His voice is raw—loud, dark, and fraying at the edges. You open the door fully and find him in the doorway already, like he couldn’t wait. His pupils are blown, his chest rising and falling with shallow breaths, one arm extended just far enough to touch the inside of your wrist.
His fingers curl around it.
Not rough, but firm. Insistent.
“You are coming with me,” he says, like it’s law. Like it’s a fact already written.
You stand there in his shirt and the smallest pair of shorts you packed—fabric clinging to your skin, leaving nothing to the imagination. He sees everything. The curve of your ass, the hint of lace at your hips, the smooth slope of your thighs still flushed from the game you started.
He swallows, jaw ticking.
“I was just making myself comfortable,” you say sweetly, and his grip tightens, thumb brushing the pulse at your wrist like it drives him mad.
“You’ve got five seconds,” he says, voice low and shaking. “Before I stop playing nice.”
You raise an eyebrow. “You think this is nice?”
He steps closer.
You don’t move.
Now he’s right there—barely an inch between you. The heat off his skin is blistering. His other hand rises to cup your jaw, not quite touching, just hovering, like even that would be giving in too soon.
His eyes flick to your lips, your legs, the way your shirt rides up when you breathe.
“You look like a fucking dream,” he mutters. “A dream that’s trying to kill me.”
You smile, saccharine and smug. “Then maybe you should’ve thought twice before acting up on stage.”
You lean in—just a whisper of your lips against his cheek—and give him a kiss. Barely there. Just enough to ignite.
Then you turn like you’re about to leave again, heading back toward the bed or the bathroom or anywhere that isn’t him.
But his grip doesn’t let go.
He tugs. Not hard—but with purpose.
You stumble right into him, chest against his, thigh brushing the outline of his cock straining against the sweats he rushed to put on after the livestream.
He breathes hard through his nose, like he’s fighting for control.
You whisper against his neck, “You don’t look that tired to me.”
That’s it.
That’s the spark.
He doesn’t lunge, not yet—but his whole body tightens, like a predator held back by a thread. You can feel his fingers flexing against your waist, twitching like they’re seconds from dragging you down onto the floor.
But he won’t. Not until you beg.
God, you’d be lying if you said you didn’t love this. What you had. What you were.
He was always all over you, and so were you—two magnets locked in a pull too strong to fight, too wild to tame. Every breath, every look, every fucking brush of skin felt like it was dipped in gasoline. And now?
Now it’s fire.
He walks you backward with slow, deliberate steps until the back of your knees hit the bed. You fall onto it with a soft gasp, and he’s right there, standing between your legs, looking down at you like he’s starving and you’re the feast he’s been denied for way too long.
“Still wanna play?” he asks, voice like gravel, hands clenched at his sides like it’s taking every ounce of self-control not to touch you.
You drag your gaze down his body—his flexing forearms, the twitch in his jaw, the tent in his sweats that looks painful. You smirk. “Are you gonna make me beg, Hoseok?”
His name on your lips does something to him. His eyes darken, and this time when he leans in, it’s not careful. It’s reckless.
He grabs your thighs and yanks you to the edge of the bed so fast you yelp, hands catching on his shoulders. Then his mouth is on your neck—hot and open and claiming—and your whole body arches off the mattress.
“You drive me fucking insane,” he growls against your skin. “With that mouth. With that attitude. With those fucking shorts—”
“You like the shorts?” you pant, tugging on his hair until he groans.
“I hate the shorts,” he snarls, licking down to your collarbone, tongue filthy. “I hate that you wore them when you knew I’d see. I hate that you knew exactly what you were doing.”
You gasp as he nips at your chest through the fabric of your shirt, his hands sliding up under it, rough and eager, palms mapping your ribs like he’s trying to remember what you feel like under pressure.
“I always know what I’m doing,” you whisper.
“Then you knew I wouldn’t last.” He pulls back just long enough to strip the shirt off your body, fast and clumsy, like it offended him just by existing. His eyes rake over you—half-naked, flushed, breathing heavy, legs spread for him—and he snaps.
In a heartbeat, he’s crawling over you, hips grinding into yours, his mouth everywhere—your jaw, your throat, your chest—until you’re gasping his name, your hands clawing at his back, your thighs locking around his waist like he’s the only thing tethering you to earth.
“You wanna beg now, baby?” he huffs against your lips, breathless.
You roll your hips against him and watch his whole body jolt.
“You’re gonna beg first,” you whisper. “For making me wait.”
And just like that, you flip him—straddle him. His back hits the mattress with a thud, and he looks up at you like he’s already ruined.
You settle your weight on his lap and smile down at him, wicked and wild.
“Let’s see who really breaks first.”
He doesn’t answer with words.
His hands shoot up to grip your waist, knuckles white, muscles flexing like restraint is no longer an option—and maybe it never was. Not when it comes to you. Not when you’re sitting on top of him like this, all flushed and smug and soaked in sweat and attitude.
You grind down once—slow and hard—and he chokes.
“Oh, fuck—” His hips buck up into yours, involuntary, brutal, and you ride it, gasping as your core drags against the thick length straining beneath those damn sweatpants.
That’s it. That’s the snap.
One second, the air between you is strung tight with tension, and the next, he’s moving—sitting up fast, eyes wild, grabbing you like he’s been holding back for hours and just broke. One arm hooks around your back, the other fists in your hair, yanking you into him, crashing his mouth against yours again like he’s starving for it.
It’s not a kiss. It’s a collision.
Tongues clash, teeth graze, breaths tangle. It's messy and urgent, raw with need. He groans deep in his chest like the taste of you is dragging him under, like he's unraveling at the seams just from this, just from you, and you moan right back, clutching at him like he’s your last tether to the world.
“You feel what you do to me?” he growls, voice thick with hunger, biting down on your bottom lip before dragging it into his mouth and sucking hard enough to leave a mark. “You’ve been fucking dripping all night.”
“So touch me,” you pant, grinding against him without shame, chasing friction, chasing anything. “Make me feel it.”
And he does. God, does he.
You’re flipped without warning again, like you weigh nothing in his hands. The room blurs for a heartbeat and then your back hits the bed, his weight caging you in, devouring every inch of you with his eyes. He rips your shorts down like they personally offended him, tossing them aside without a glance.
Then he sees the soaked spot on your panties and something snaps behind his eyes.
A low, guttural growl vibrates through his chest. “Fuck.”
He runs a finger right over it—barely there, just a tease—and you gasp, hips bucking up into the touch. He smirks, dark and dangerous, before shoving the fabric aside and diving in like a man possessed.
No hesitation. No mercy.
Two fingers slam into you, deep and fast, and your back arches off the bed as a cry tears from your throat.
“Already so fucking tight,” he mutters, forehead dropping to your shoulder, his eyes fixed on the way your body clenches around him. He curls his fingers just right and thrusts again, harder this time, deeper, and your legs start to shake.
“You were waiting for this, weren’t you?”
You can’t speak. You can barely breathe. All you can do is nod helplessly, whimpering, your nails digging into his arm as your other hand twists in the sheets like it’s the only thing keeping you grounded.
He doesn’t stop. He won’t stop.
Each thrust is punishing, each curl devastating, each drag of his fingers designed to destroy you. Your whole body is shaking, every muscle drawn tight, the edge so close it feels like you could fall over it with a single breath.
“Hoseok—fuck, I—”
“Not yet.”
He rips his fingers away, and you scream in frustration, hips bucking into nothing, walls fluttering around the absence like you’ve been ripped open and left begging.
“I said—”
But the words vanish from your mouth because suddenly—God—his mouth is right there.
No warning. No buildup. Just heat and tongue and wicked, wicked lips wrapping around your clit like a death sentence.
He moans into you, arms locking around your thighs to hold you in place while he ruins you with his mouth.
“You—fuck, I—”
He glances up, lips glistening, eyes gleaming with sin. He smirks like he knows. Like he planned this.
And then he says, low and lethal, “Don’t come until I say so.”
Like it’s a challenge. Like he wants to see you fall apart trying not to.
And oh, you will.
Oh, you unleash.
It’s not graceful. It’s not sweet. It’s carnal.
You shatter—loud, writhing, wrecked. A cry bursts from your throat, raw and ragged, echoing off the walls like a confession. Your voice breaks into a hoarse moan, half his name, half a curse, and entirely surrender.
And he watches—fuck, he watches like it’s the most beautiful thing he’s ever seen.
That wicked smile curves across his lips, dark and triumphant. He doesn’t stop. Doesn’t let up. His mouth is right there, relentless, greedy, like he’s trying to consume every last tremor from your body. His tongue flicks, circles, presses, and it’s too much—too much heat, too much pleasure, too much him.
Then his hand slides up—slow, smooth, terrifying in how in control he still is—and wraps lightly around your throat.
Not tight. Just enough.
Just enough to make your breath hitch. Just enough to make you feel it—that loss of air, that vulnerability, that heady spike of something deeper.
His lips drag down, kissing the inside of your thigh with reverence, then right back up, mouth sealing over your clit like he’s praying with his tongue.
“Look at you,” he murmurs against your skin, voice rough, reverent. “So fucking perfect when you come.”
Your body jerks beneath him, aftershocks ripping through you, legs trembling like you’ve run miles. You can barely keep your eyes open, but you see the way he’s looking at you—like you’re something holy and ruined all at once.
“Could watch you fall apart like that forever,” he growls, licking a long, slow stripe through your slick. “Could live between your thighs and never need another damn thing.”
You whimper, mind fogged and limbs useless, but he’s not done.
He shifts up, kissing your stomach, your ribs, your collarbone, while his hand keeps its gentle pressure at your throat. Not to hurt. Just to hold. Just to remind you: he’s the one doing this.
“You think that was it?” he murmurs, eyes locked on yours as he grinds his hips down, the hard line of him pressing against you. “I haven’t even started.”
Even in the haze—numb, trembling, boneless from the high—you move.
You fight for it.
Still shaking, still gasping, you claw your way onto him like instinct, like something primal and desperate has taken hold. There's no grace, no finesse—just raw need, coursing through you like lightning. You straddle him, hips grinding down, rutting shamelessly against the thick heat straining beneath his clothes.
You’re a mess. A beautiful, wrecked mess.
Mouth parted, chest heaving, hair clinging to your sweat-slicked skin. You can barely breathe, barely think, but all your body knows is him.
“Please…” you gasp, voice breaking on a moan as you roll your hips again. “Please, baby… fuck… want ya—want ya so bad.”
The words come out slurred with lust, almost incomprehensible, like you're drunk on him. And maybe you are.
He watches you like he’s in a trance, hands gripping your waist, fingers digging in hard enough to bruise. His jaw is tight, his eyes dark—burning. Like he’s holding on to every last shred of control and losing.
“Look at you,” he breathes, voice wrecked with arousal. “You don’t even know what you’re asking for.”
“I do,” you whimper, grinding down harder, chasing friction, chasing everything. “Want your cock, baby—need it. Need you in me.”
That’s what shatters him.
He flips you again—ruthless, fast. Your back hits the bed and he’s already there, caging you in with his body, pulling his pants down just enough to free himself.
You both moan when he ruts against your core, right there, the heat of him dragging over the slick fabric.
“God, you’re filthy,” he groans “You’re gonna take every inch. Gonna feel me for days.”
You spread your legs wider, shameless and soaked, begging with your body.
“So take me,” you cry, voice breaking as your nails drag down his back, leaving red lines in their wake. “Fuck me.”
God, you love this man.
Love how filthy you both are—how raw, how real. How there’s nothing between you but heat and skin and the kind of need that burns straight through the bones.
He groans at your words, at the way your body arches into his, shameless and pleading. His cock is right there, so close, the head dragging through your slick, teasing your entrance with maddening slowness.
You whine, desperate, hips lifting to chase him, to take him, but he holds steady—just to watch you fall apart a little more. Just to feel your hunger for him.
“You’re shaking,” he murmurs, voice low, reverent, dangerous. “Can’t even wait a second, can you?”
You shake your head, lips parted, breath catching. “I need you,” you gasp. “Please, just—just fuck me already.”
And then—blissful mercy—he gives in.
He pushes in slow, the thick head of his cock breaching you, stretching you open inch by inch. Your mouth falls open, a broken moan spilling out as your eyes flutter shut.
Then he bottoms out in one smooth, deep thrust, burying himself inside you to the hilt.
Your world ends.
Your eyes roll back, your entire body going limp beneath him, mouth slack, breath stolen. You feel everything—the stretch, the pressure, the way he fits like he was made for you.
“Fuuuck,” he groans, forehead pressing against yours, barely holding himself back. “You feel unreal. So tight, so fucking wet for me.”
You can’t even respond. Just whimper, legs wrapping around his waist like instinct, like you never want him to leave.
He pulls out slow, just enough to feel the drag, then thrusts back in with a snap of his hips that knocks the air from your lungs.
You gasp, moan, claw at his back again. “Yes, yes—just like that—don’t stop—”
He doesn’t.
He pounds into you with a rhythm that’s all hunger and devotion, head buried in the crook of your neck, his breath hot and ragged against your skin.
And all you can think—through the pleasure, the gasps, the sting of nails and the slap of skin—is how much you fucking love this.
How much you fucking love him.
The thing about Hoseok is… he’s an artist, yeah. But first? He’s a dancer.
And those goddamn hips know exactly what they’re doing.
You know better than anyone.
You’ve felt it—in the way he moves against you, inside you, like his body was choreographed to yours. Every roll of his hips is a masterstroke, every thrust precise, powerful, devastating. He hits that spot again and again, like he mapped it out, like he studied it, like he's spent hours—years—perfecting the rhythm that makes you scream his name.
And you do.
You chant it, breathless and wrecked, nails digging into his back like he’s the only thing tethering you to this earth.
“Hoseok—fuck, right there, baby, right there—”
He groans into your neck, hips grinding deeper, slower for a second, just to make you feel the drag of him inside you. Just to show you who’s in control.
“You feel me?” he growls, teeth dragging over the curve of your throat, his voice a rasp in your ear. “That’s it, baby. Take it. Take all of me.”
And you do.
You take everything. Every inch, every thrust, every filthy word he feeds into your skin like sin-soaked poetry. Your body matches his like instinct, like choreography written in lust and obsession. This is more than sex—it’s a rhythm, a performance, a fucking ritual.
“You’re my filthy princess,” he pants, hips snapping against yours, the sound obscene, slick, perfect. “You know why I did that shit on stage, babe?”
You blink through the haze, barely able to speak, to breathe.
He leans closer, lips brushing your ear, thrusts never faltering, never softening. “I did it ‘cause I was thinking of you.”
Your heart stutters. Your pussy clenches around him.
His voice darkens, sweet with venom. “Thought about you the night before that concert… pressed up against the wall, legs shaking, those pretty little moans spilling out while I had my fingers inside you. Remember that?”
You nod frantically, mind flashing with the memory—his hand, your helplessness, the way you came with your mouth against his shoulder to muffle the scream.
“I couldn’t stop thinking about the way you begged,” he grins, feral, breath hitching as your walls flutter around him. “‘Oh baby,’” he mocks you in a breathy whimper, falsetto, sinful. “‘I’m your filthy fucking bitch…’”
Your whole body seizes. Shame and heat twist together like a fuse sparking to life.
He laughs—low and wicked, full of pride. “And all I could think was: that’s mine. That girl up front, lookin’ all sweet, all put-together?”
His hips drive harder, deeper—he’s pounding into you now, chasing the sound of your cries, the clench of your cunt.
“She’s the same one who gets on her knees like a whore for me.”
You whimper, head thrown back, nails clawing at his shoulders.
“That’s you, baby,” he says, voice all gravel and affection, eyes blazing. “My pretty girl, my nasty little thing. The one who smiles for the cameras, then bends over the second I lock the door.”
Your entire body is trembling. You don’t know if it’s the pace or the filth or the way he’s looking at you like he’s obsessed—but you're close, again, helpless to stop it.
“You gonna come for me again?” he asks, cocky and tender all at once. “Let me feel that tight little pussy squeeze the fuck out of me?”
“Y-Yeah—fuck, Hoseok—”
“Come,” he growls, voice raw, deep, commanding. “Come for me, my beautiful princess—my filthy fucking whore.”
That’s it. That’s the snap.
You shatter.
Your entire body goes taut, every muscle pulling tight before releasing in one violent, uncontrollable wave. Your legs shake around him, trembling so hard it’s like your bones have melted. Your mouth opens on a scream, but it barely makes it out—just a broken, choked moan that dies in your throat as your vision whites out.
You cling to him, hands clawing at his back like you need something—anything—to anchor you. But he’s not slowing down. If anything, he’s driving it deeper, dragging your orgasm out until it borders on unbearable.
And then—your body gives.
A gush of wetness spills between you, soaking his cock, the sheets, your thighs. You gasp, humiliated and feral all at once, trying to pull away—but he growls low, hands gripping your hips, holding you there.
“Oh fuck,” he hisses, staring down where your bodies are joined. “That’s it, baby. Look at that. Look at the mess you just made for me.”
You’re still twitching, body jerking with aftershocks, tears slipping from the corners of your eyes from the sheer intensity. But Hoseok—he looks like a man possessed.
“Goddamn, you’re perfect,” he breathes, dragging his cock out just enough to watch more of your release drip out, then sliding right back in with a groan. “So wet, so ruined, so fucking mine.”
You whimper beneath him, wrecked and pliant, your voice barely a whisper. “I can’t… I—I already…”
“You can,” he growls, eyes blazing as he locks gazes with you. “And you will. I’m not done with you yet.”
He kisses you then—deep and claiming, like he’s sealing something between you with tongue and teeth and breath.
And all you can do is moan into it, broken and breathless, because despite everything— You want it. You want him.

You’re still trembling, your body a live wire of oversensitivity and bliss, when he starts moving again—slow at first, but no less intense. Like he’s savoring the afterglow, dragging it out, making you feel every inch of him, every pulse and push and stretch.
“You’re unreal,” Hoseok mutters against your mouth, voice thick with awe and hunger. “You came so hard for me. Fuck, baby… you squirted for me.”
Your cheeks burn, your lips part to apologize, but he cuts you off with another deep thrust that makes your back arch, a whimper catching in your throat.
“Don’t even try,” he growls, pinning your hips down. “That was the sexiest fucking thing I’ve ever seen.”
He’s drunk on you now—high on the mess, the heat, the way your body is still fluttering around him. He dips his head to kiss down your jaw, your neck, your collarbone, dragging his tongue along your skin as if trying to taste the orgasm still clinging to you.
And you… you’re floating.
You can’t even form words. Just sounds. Moans and gasps and breathy little pleas as he rocks into you, deeper now, slower, rolling his hips with maddening precision.
“Still so tight,” he whispers, voice ragged. “You feel that? The way your pussy’s still trying to milk me?”
You nod weakly, eyes glassy, mouth open on a silent gasp when he hits that spot again, perfectly, like he knows.
“Fuck, I love you like this,” he murmurs, lips brushing your temple. “All soft. Fucked-out. Shaking. You’re so fucking pretty when you come.”
His hand slips down between you, fingers rubbing lazy circles on your clit, and your whole body jolts.
“N-No—too much—”
“I know, baby,” he coos, still fucking you through it. “I know. Just one more. One more for me, yeah?”
You sob his name, overwhelmed, but you don’t tell him no. Because you don’t want it to stop. Not yet. Not when it feels like this. Not when his body is still moving against yours like a symphony only you get to hear.
You lock your legs around his waist, pulling him deeper, holding him there. And he groans—low, guttural, broken.
“Oh fuck—fuck, baby—”
He’s close. You can feel it.
The rhythm starts to slip, his thrusts getting rougher, faster. The weight of him, the sound of your soaked skin meeting his, the filthy praise falling from his lips—it’s all building again, dizzying, consuming.
And right before the fall, right when everything goes blinding and hot—he looks at you. Really looks at you.
And he says it.
“Come with me.”
And you do.
Together.
Hard, loud, beautiful.

The high fades like smoke—slow, warm, lingering—but the after? The after is where it all settles. Where the heat gives way to something softer, deeper, realer.
You’re both breathless, tangled together in a mess of limbs and sweat and slick, bodies still twitching from the aftershocks. Hoseok collapses gently onto you, careful not to crush you, just enough to feel your heartbeat slam against his.
For a moment, neither of you speaks. Just the sound of your breathing, still uneven and shaky. The way his hand finds yours, fingers lacing like it’s instinct.
Then, a laugh. Small, hoarse. Yours.
He lifts his head slightly, his forehead still resting on yours, brows furrowed in amused concern. “What?”
You grin, cheeks flushed, lips kiss-swollen. “I can’t feel my legs.”
He laughs too, deep and wrecked, kissing your forehead like he’s proud of that. “You weren’t supposed to. That was kinda the point.”
You try to nudge him with your knee, but it twitches uselessly and flops against the mattress. That just makes him laugh harder.
“I broke you,” he teases, clearly delighted with himself. “My poor baby.”
He kisses you again, this time slower, sweeter. Like a thank-you. Like a promise. Like he means it.
Then he starts pulling away to grab something—a towel, maybe—but you clutch at him with a tiny, panicked sound. “No—don’t go.”
He freezes. Looks down at you. And something in his face melts.
“I’m not going anywhere,” he says gently, crawling right back over you, arms wrapping around your waist to roll you both onto your sides. “Not now. Not ever.”
You bury your face in his neck, letting your body relax completely into him. His scent, his warmth, the thrum of his pulse under your fingertips—it’s all enough to lull you into the sweetest kind of daze.
His thumb strokes your hip lazily. “You really are my filthy little princess, huh?”
You mumble something incoherent against his throat.
He chuckles. “What was that?”
“I said,” you sigh, half-asleep already, “your filthy queen, actually.”
He grins like you’ve just given him the world. “Damn right.”
Then he kisses your shoulder, one hand trailing up your spine, the other pulling the sheets around both of you.
"I love you, babe"
And just like that—you’re safe. Wrecked. Loved. Held.

The morning comes slow, gentle, a hazy stretch of sunlight spilling through half-closed blinds, casting soft lines across tangled sheets and bare limbs.
You wake first—barely. Just enough to feel the stiffness in your muscles, the warm ache between your thighs, and the delicious weight of an arm slung over your waist. Hoseok’s chest is pressed to your back, his breath soft and warm against your shoulder, one leg tucked between yours like he couldn’t bear to be any farther away, even in sleep.
You hum quietly, nuzzling into the pillow with a sleepy smile. Everything smells like him—sweat, skin, sex, and that faint hint of his cologne that somehow survived the chaos of last night.
You don't want to move. Ever.
But a groggy groan rumbles behind you.
“Fuck.”
You shift slightly. “What time is it?”
There’s a pause. Then another groan, this one full of regret. “Eight-thirty.”
You blink. “…AM?”
He flops onto his back dramatically, arm flung over his eyes like he’s auditioning for a tragedy. “I have to be at soundcheck in three hours. My body feels like it got run over by a truck.”
You snort, rolling onto your side to face him. His hair’s a mess, lips puffy, eyes still half-closed and pouting like a grumpy cat.
“Wonder why that is,” you tease, trailing your fingers over the fresh nail marks on his chest.
He squints at you from under his arm. “You did this. You and your pretty little ‘Please, baby, fuck me so good’ voice.”
You fake a gasp. “I never—”
He mimics you, pitch high and breathy, “‘Oh Hobi, I’m your filthy fuckin’ bitch—’”
You throw a pillow at his face. He catches it with one hand and groans again, flopping back down.
“…I deserve that,” he mumbles. Then, with sudden, dramatic anguish: “God, I’m so tired. My legs are jello. I have choreo in nine hours.”
You try not to laugh, but it bubbles out anyway. “You broke me last night. This is just karma.”
“I’m never going that hard the night before a show again,” he mutters, rubbing his eyes.
You kiss his cheek gently. “Liar.”
He sighs, lips curling into a crooked little smile. “Yeah. I’m totally gonna do it again.”
You both lie there for another few moments, the calm creeping back in, the kind that only comes with mornings like this. The silence is soft. Easy. Safe.
Then he cracks one eye open again, already plotting. “Okay. Hear me out. If I nap in the car and stretch in the dressing room, I might survive tonight.”
You grin. “I’ll be in the front row. Screaming my head off. Still limping.”
He smirks, eyes gleaming with mischief. “Bet.”

Writing Description Notes: Eye Contact/Eye Movements
Updated 26th May 2024 More description notes
Three sets of eyes honed in towards him.
Everyone collectively shifted their gazes towards him.
His eyes widened like they were about to burst.
His eyes widened like saucers.
Humor was twinkling in his eyes at the irony of the situation.
Emotionless eyes contrasted with charged words.
His gaze parted from hers.
She caught his gaze with hers
He glared daggers.
Her eyes were fierce, but still reflected compassion.
Her hilariously wide eyes.
Ensnared by a pair of eyes.
Jane bore down on her friend with her sharp eyes, but surprisingly the glare had no effect.
A flash of frustration creased her brow and sparked in her eye, letting him know that his sound wasn't appreciated.
Their eyes trained on each other and silence swept over them.
His golden eyes dissected her, seeming to examine every quirk of her expression.
He could feel her gaze cutting into him.
Once again, he turned back to her, and was rewarded with just a small smile and her warm eyes.
His sky blue eyes veiled towards the large window claimed by the freezing temperatures.
His eyes burned into her, the fire intent on destroying whatever it could catch but she was ready for it this time.
His eyes scoped out the make-shift battle ground searching for something, anything that could help him out.
Their stares remained interlocked, neither of them making a move to look away.
His golden eyes shone in the dim light, reflecting every insecurity within him.
Amusement danced in those green eyes.
Her gaze flitted between their blanket and him.
Shielding her eyes on instinct, Jane recovered with wary blinks.
Red optics bore into her widened, watering eyes.
He gave John a sidelong stare.
His optics settled on Jane as she raised her fist with cheer.
The stare was of one hurt and buried, as if they feared being vulnerable more than the cold reality they had manufactured and serviced.
His stare was as uncomfortable as a chorus-girl corset and had the same effect on Jane’s breathing, constricted and shallow. There was no life behind those eyes. Every move he made betrayed his intentions and none of them were noble.
His eyes searched hers, looking to find some shred of... emotion in them.
He rolled his eyes, a nonverbal expression of exasperation.

up against the wall
୨ৎ MDNI. this is the first fic i've really posted that's come with a caution sign, but dark content ahead, you have been warned ♡ this was originally an oc x dazai but i converted into dazai x fem!reader for all of you who wanted to read it ♡ a bit yandere on both dazai and reader's part. full submission. degradation and praise. gunplay. dom!dazai ((fucking yum)). lemme know whatcha think, luv you ♡୨ৎ
take me, take me back to your bed i love you so much that it hurts my head. say I don't mind you under my skin i'll let the bad parts in, the bad parts in... ─★ now playing: degausser
You had always known what and who Osamu Dazai was. The parts of him that he’d given you and the parts of him that he tried to hide– they were both engrained into your mind. Clawed and carved into your heart no matter how much he attempted to conceal off pieces of himself that he didn’t want you to have access to.
He'd learned pretty early on in your relationship that there was no such thing as avoiding you, not just because of your Mind Glimpse, but because of who you were as a person. The sheer lengths that you'd go just to get to him were hopeless and absolutely devoid of all logic.
At 16, you'd tattooed his initial on your forearm when Mori tried to put an end to your relationship. Nearly killed yourself a couple of years later when you somehow managed to teleport all the way from Port Mafia to his apartment, collapsing in his living room from overusing your ability all because he wouldn't answer your calls. There was no obstacle or barrier strong enough to stop you from gravitating towards him the way you did and the worst part was, Osamu... liked your earth-shattering devotion to him.
He'd never experienced love before and he'd certainly never experienced… whatever it was between the two of you before either, but there was something about your raw and unapologetic honesty that captivated him. He’d spent so much of his life being conditioned to lie and manipulate to get others to bend to his will and yet, you... would happily break yourself for him just because.
You'd do anything, really. Any request, no matter the cost. Any command, no matter the risk. Any hoop, no matter the height– you'd always find a way, finishing the task with with wide eyes and a smile. “Like that? Was that good?” You might as well have been a puppy with how you obeyed him so thoroughly. It was equal parts amusing and… something else entirely. Something that Dazai wasn't quite ready to face.
The nickname “little ghost” that he'd gifted you expanded well beyond your ability to vanish, it rang true in all aspects of your relationship. You were his shadow. His mirror. Your curiosity just as relentless and unwavering as his own. Your determination and shamelessness just as dangerous when it came to getting the things you wanted and he was always the thing you wanted most.
You saw him, even when he didn’t think you did. Not just the flippant exterior that he presented to the outside world. Not the hollow cut-out version of himself that he used to blend into crowds. No, you saw him– the full scope of who he was and who he pretended not to be, and you still clung onto him like your life depended on it. Craved him. Haunted him. Trusted him. And worst of all, loved him. Really, sincerely, desperately loved him.
In your first year at Port Mafia, Dazai had written you off as entertainment. A fun, fragile little toy that he could pick up and dissect whenever he got bored and he got bored a lot. But you were happy to oblige, often catching him off guard with how excitedly you would offer parts of yourself up to him without him even having to ask.
You were an enigma in your own right. Something he’d never really seen before. So starved for attention but so infuriatingly stubborn when it came to letting yourself receive it. So obsessed with the idea of love but so tragically clueless when it came to actually being able to identify it. So in-tune with the emotions of everyone else around you but so completely unaware of your own. You were dangerous– Mori’s worst migraine and Dazai’s best asset with the way your ability would spiral out of control when your feelings became too much for you to bear.
Dazai was hardly solid, made up of nothing more than loose-leaf ideas and questionable personality traits that he’d stolen from others and pieced together for himself over the years. But to you, he was so much more. He was the very foundation beneath your feet, the gravity that kept you standing and upright most days, never letting you float too far into your mind. He was the only thing that could stabilize you and not just from his nullification, but from simply being there. As Chuuya had pointed out so many times, the two of you were “a match made in hell”, but you both seemed to find more comfort than threat in the flames you created together.
Four years ago, if you would’ve asked Dazai how it happened– how your relationship with him had morphed into something that bared such an eerie resemblance to that of trust and understanding, he would’ve dismissed it, but now…
His eyes narrowed, amusement flickering across his face as you circled him in your makeshift training room. “Careful. I told you I’m not gonna let you win this time.”
A spark of silver and blue electricity cracked into the air, your small frame vanishing from where you had been standing across from him, only to reappear right beside him. Your breath hot and tantalizing against the shell of his ear, “Be rough with me then, I can take it.” The smile in your voice was palpable and then– gone.
Now… there was no denying how much he loved chasing and breaking you, his favorite little toy.
He let you have your fun for a few more minutes, folding his arms over his chest with a smirk as you teleported across the abandoned warehouse with precision, pressing soft kisses against his cheek before disappearing into a snap of iridescent energy.
You hid behind a crate, concentrating as your gaze locked onto one of the heavy industrial light fixtures before pulling it down from the rafters, letting it crash next to where Dazai was standing.
"Wow," he mused, giving you a fake clap. "Had I been 12 feet closer, you might've actually gotten me."
He didn't have to know where you were hiding to know that he'd struck a nerve, a smaller lightbulb bursting in one of the overhead lights indicated that you heard him.
"Come here," he said, his voice softening a bit as he rolled his shoulders and shifted his weight. He barely had to side-step to dodge the tire that had been hurled his way. Your emotions were erratic but always predictable.
"Baby, c'mon. It's not my fault you have terrible aim. That's why we're here anyway, remember?"
There was a crackle of energy, another flash of steel blue before you finally reappeared in front of him, a pout that he was all-too familiar with looking back at him.
He bit back a laugh watching you sink into yourself.
"Look, it's about focus, okay?" His tone transitioned into something more serious as he took a slow step towards you. "As long as Mori sees you as his own personal project, I need you to be prepared for anything. You're gonna start getting sent on higher ranking missions sooner than later and I need to know that you're ready for that."
There was something about the way he said it– about the genuine concern coating his words that made your chest tighten.
You let your eyes meet his again as you nodded. "Okay," you breathed, the bratty rebuttal you had lined up promptly dying on the tip of your tongue as you took in his features. "What do you want me to do?"
"Teleport to me, we're going to go over intuition and reflexes."
You drew in a sharp breath before closing your eyes, electricity dancing along your skin as you accidentally snapped yourself directly in front of him so that you were chest to chest.
"Surely you wouldn't get this close to an enemy," he smirked, "but for argument's sake, let's say you did. Let's say you landed right in front of them, just like this and they –"
Without any time to think, Dazai had already reached into the inside of his coat pocket, the cold metal of his Beretta suddenly resting easily against your temple. “What now?” He whispered, looking down at you with provoking curiosity. "What are your instincts telling you to do?"
It wasn't the first time you'd had a gun drawn on you, but it was definitely the first time you'd had a gun drawn on you this... intimately. Your body betrayed you, displaced warmth migrating to your cheeks as you blinked back at him through heavy lashes. Your instincts were certainly there, they were just... all wrong.
Dazai caught your reaction immediately, the fleeting but unmistakable flicker of lust that washed over you.
"Oh?" He quipped, leaning down while pressing the barrel further into your delicate skin. "What’s this, huh?" His stare was equal parts predatory and incredulous as his eyes trailed over you, zeroing in on every small, subtle shift you made. The way your breathing had slowed, the goosebumps that decorated your arms, the way your hips couldn't help but tilt towards his ever-so slightly. "You like it, don't you? Like the way it feels when your life’s in my hands?”
"No, I'm–" You faltered, your words completely stolen by the knowing smirk that had cut across his face. "I'm just– thinking, is all."
"Thinking” he echoed, his other hand gently cradling your jawline as he forced you to keep your eyes locked with his. “And what exactly are you thinking about? Please, enlighten me.”
You had to bite back a smile, trying your best to mask your flimsy composure though you knew he could already see straight through it. "Strategy." You lied, jutting your bottom lip back out in faux innocence.
Dazai couldn't help the laugh that escaped him as he tilted his head towards yours, closing the already small gap between you. "Is that right?" He mused, his lips just barely grazing yours. "My diligent little ghost, always so focused."
You nodded back at him helplessly, his grin razor sharp as his hand trailed from your jaw to the back of your neck, grabbing a fistful of hair and forcefully cocking your head to the side.
It earned him a yelp as he continued to hold his weapon to you. "You're a terrible liar, you know that?" His breath fanned across your skin, leaving a delirious static in its wake while his body pressed against yours, pinning you between him and a metal crate. "Your eyes give you away every time."
"Dazai..." It wasn't quite a moan, but alarmingly close to one as his lips found the nape of your neck, his teeth lightly sinking into you.
"This opens up all sorts of doors for us though, doesn't it?" His curiosity was reaching new heights, dangerous ones that he'd always tried to keep at bay, but now... the glazed over eyes staring back at him were giving him all the confirmation he never needed to keep going.
You nearly moaned into his mouth when he finally kissed you, your hands desperately tangling into the collar of his shirt as you pulled him in closer. Your movements urgent and beyond your control.
"Spread for me." He said between breaths, using his leg to coax yours apart. "I wanna see something."
You were so lost, so needy and overtaken by the feeling of him that you merely whimpered in response, not caring about anything else except for the feeling of his lips back on yours.
"Good girl," he exhaled, hiking your skirt up as he slowly began to slide his gun down along your face. "You trust me, don't you?"
“Always.” You said despite the way your legs were trembling, your nerves dancing with a vicious mix of excitement and fear as he traced the barrel of the gun over your puffy lips.
He angled his knee just right, giving your clit a much-needed brush of friction while you gradually parted your lips for him, welcoming the cold metal into your mouth.
Dazai had never been one for big acts of commitment, but watching you moan into his loaded Beretta made him realize that maybe he did need to know your ring size after all. Just in case.
"Look at you," he groaned, nearly losing himself to the sight of it. "So fucking gorgeous when you're at my mercy like this."
The praise went straight to your center, your body humming with dizzy want and unrelenting need as he carefully retracted it, his mouth dropping open watching the trail of spit that connected you to it break and drip graciously down your chin.
You were fulfilling fantasies of his that he thought he'd only ever get to dream of as he leaned into you again, letting you cling onto him tighter. The two of you worked in perfect feral synchronicity, him pulling the thin fabric of your underwear down over your thighs to help you step out of them before you kicked them out of reach.
"Osamu..." Your voice had been reduced down to a heady plea, one that he'd do anything in his power to satisfy.
"I’m right here.” He lulled, his grip tangled straight back into your hair while his mouth returned to yours, his other hand working on something much more... nefarious.
"Relax for me,” his voice was soft but commanding, laced with something that made you trust him though you knew you shouldn’t. “That's right. Just like that.”
Your pupils doubled in size as you felt the harsh metal begin to slip between your sensitive folds, your words suddenly eviscerated by the way he was staring down at you through dark, clouded eyes. How completely and utterly lost he looked as he spread you apart, a sense of desperation that you'd never quite seen from him before radiating off of each move he made.
"Oh...my god," Every last bit of logical thinking you had was gone, your mind and body both succumbing to the foreign sensation as he kept up a firm but gentle pace, running it uppp and dowwnnn in a way that made yours legs threaten to buckle.
"Dazai," you whined, your nails tearing into his shoulder for support as the motion became more fluid, your arousal acting as a shameful lubricant. You were almost embarrassed by how noticeable it was, how easy it was for him to glide it across you and how loud you’d gotten as you tried to bury your face into his chest.
Dazai, on the other hand, was on cloud nine. Only ascending further into the heavens with each lewd, begging little whimper that spilled out of you. "Do you have any idea how perfect you are?" He soothed, kissing and nipping at your collarbone while you started to find a rhythm, the steel still sending chills down your spine each time it brushed across your overstimulated clit. "I don't think you do," he groaned, "I really don't think you fucking understand what you do to me."
Getting praised by him to any degree always had a way of bringing you to the edge, but this... this was a type of euphoria that you didn't even know existed.
“You know the safety’s off?” He purred against your neck, his heart slamming into his chest as he watched the pouty, pleading look that had taken over you. The same one he’d seen so many times before but never quite like this.
Your slick was practically dripping onto his fingers the more he taunted you, your center greedily searching for release as your hips rocked up towards him.
“All it would take is one little slip, you know.” He was tortuously intoxicating, bringing you to your breaking point by whispering the most infernal little nothings. “With how soaked my fingers are, it’s almost like you want me to. Like you’re just begging for me to-”
Your entire body shook by his last threat, your brows knitting together while you frantically pulled him closer, repeating his name like a prayer in the small space between you. In all his time with you, he'd never seen you this undone before, this fucking beautiful and pathetic. There was something about it, about knowing that he was the only one who would ever get this type of blind obedience out of you that made something inside him ache.
“Dazai ~!”
The whine you let out was so heavy your eyes nearly crossed, more incoherent obscenities bouncing off the concrete floors.
Your cunt was pulsating, absolutely desperate for something to fill it as the orgasm hit you in waves, the rigidness of his gun still sending shockwaves through your thighs. There was a sense of pride and awe that crept over him at how well you responded to him, how overwhelmingly easy it was to break you.
"You're so pretty." He whispered, pressing a gentle kiss against your forehead as he meticulously drifted the weapon back up over your stomach with a small grin. "Fucking insane, but so, so pretty."
You smiled breathlessly back at him, the loaded gun against your body completely forgotten by the weight of his compliment. “You think so?"
“Oh, I know so,” he smirked against your neck, freeing himself from his pants as his teeth sank into your skin. "You just came to the idea of me killing you and now you're all heart-eyed asking me if I really think you're pretty or not." He let out a semblance of a laugh, propping you up to wedge you against the crate again while your legs wrapped around him for support, his Beretta now resting tenderly under your chin. "My sweet girl... you're almost as deranged as I am."
The pink that swept across your face only added to the long list of reasons you were able to hold his attention. You were innocence mixed with sin. Naivety mixed with lust. He was holding a loaded gun to your head and you were all but saying “thank you.”
Your blush deepened as he prodded at your entrance, your eyes glazing over at how thoroughly his tip stretched you. “Dazai –” you whined, both of you reeling from how faithfully your walls sucked him in.
“What is it, angel?” His tone was thick with mockery, his finger resting lazily on the trigger as your nails met his back again. “Feel good?"
You nodded back at him, lips parting the deeper he went. “So good,” you exhaled, your back arching to invite him in more as he thrusted into you. “So fucking good.”
He watched you intently, his dark eyes nearly burning holes into your skin with how fervent his movements had become.
He was drowning in you, both physically and mentally– sinking further and further into the way you welcomed every part of him, both the good and bad. Even with the possibility of death looming over you, your only focus was him. The rest of the world, the threat of your life ending with one easy slip of a finger– none of it mattered as long as it was him that pulled the trigger.
"You'd let me, wouldn't you?" His voice was venomous, gentle enough to subdue you but still poisonous enough to seep into your veins without detection. "You'd let me be the one that to make that fragile heart of yours stop beating."
The answer was written all over of your face, evident in the way your core clenched around him the further he pushed.
You were soaking him, letting out the most gorgeous fucked-out noises he'd ever heard as he continued to wrap around your mind like the serpent that he was, robbing you of the last bit of dignity you had left.
"Say it." Dazai commanded, his thrusts becoming more punishing. "Let me fucking hear, it baby." He was just as lost as you were, riding a high he'd never experienced before as his hips met yours with untamed urgency.
"I –" Your vision blurred, your thighs trembling while his tip relentlessly slammed into your sweet spot. You could barely form a thought, let alone a sentence, his dark stare the only thing keeping you tethered to the room. "I– would." you finally choked out, almost drooling from how deep he suddenly was. "Dazai please, I'd– let you. I'd let you do anything, any... thing."
It wasn't the first time that he'd had someone beg while under the scope of his gun– some had begged him to spare their lives. Some had begged for him to just end it altogether. But no one had ever begged out of... love.
The noise he made was guttural, primal as his lips crashed into yours, his resolve crumbling entirely. His forehead pressed against yours while your walls spasmed around him like a vice, your core unravelling in a way that made him forget all of his senses.
You were smothering him, your nails tearing into his skin as your broken voice sang out his name like he'd trained you to do.
"There it is," he almost wasn't sure if it was you or himself he was saying it to as he began to twitch inside you. "There it– is, baby. Keep going. Don't stop." He was falling straight into the same abyss you were, the two of you tumbling hand in hand into a seemingly never-ending void of bliss.
"You're mine," he promised, letting his body seal the vow he was creating as he watched a desperate kind of sincerity settle over your features.
"Yours." you repeated softly, eyes full of conviction.
His chest heaved as he buried the last of his logical thinking and carnal desires into you at once. A damning warmth suddenly coating your walls while he slowly retracted the gun away from you and replaced it something much more sinister– affection.
His fingers gently traced over the side of your cheek as your uneven breathing mingled together. "Deranged." He panted with a faint smirk, "Certifiably insane."
You merely smiled as he pulled out of you, carefully getting you back to your feet. "And yours." You reminded him.
"Yeah, yeah," he teased, kneeling down to grab your discarded underwear. "Just stay still for me." He was tentative as he helped you redress, adjusting and smoothing down your skirt while stealing proud glances at the mess he'd left dripping down your leg.
You quietly admired him, noting the tenderness in the way he handled you as you stood perfectly still, only moving when he’d guide you.
Your brows furrowed slightly when he stood back up and pulled his Beretta out of his pocket again, opening the chamber to let a bullet fall into his hand. "Here," he said, offering it to you, "a little keepsake. Maybe you can turn it into a necklace or something."
You held it up to the light like it was a precious stone, your jewelry box back at Port Mafia suddenly calling your name as your brain danced with ideas of how to turn it into something even more beautiful.
Dazai couldn't help but grin as he watched you twirl it between your fingers with all of the delicacy in the world, your eyes wide with wonder.
It was fitting, he thought, the way you were able to make art out of even the most broken things.

Supersons +1 prompt answer
If you asked Danny, 12 year old half-ghost hero of Amity Park, how half-life was going, he'd tell you things were mixed.
On the one hand, he had just spent the last three or four months in family/scientist/'this house is a death trap waiting to happen' therapy with Jazz, and by some miracle, it worked. He wasn't sure if this was some kind of dream as his parents poured over years upon years of research, crossing out lines, rewriting equations, and reevaulating everything they thought they knew about ghosts.
Was the shudders family therapy worth not going over how they'd like to dissect him? he's still not sure. The horror.
Not to mention the attention. Danny was sure he was going to throw up if his parents drag him away for more bonding time, only for a ghost to attack and for him to run off to transform. What made it worse was when the Fentons came barrelling out, guns blazing, alternating between getting mad that he'd interrupted their family time, and asking him questions about "Your suspicious spook culture, if you even have one you dangerous delusional delinquent!"
At least they were trying, but Danny was very much comfortable not spilling the beans on the whole half-ghost situation, thank you very much.
And that's why, when Dad proposed to take him to Gotham to show off their latest invention, he jumped at the chance. The home city of the Batman, one of the greatest heroes known to man (except for Martian Manhunter and Superman of course) and Dad promised to take him to Gotham Observatory too. Not to mention how much he wanted to get away from Jazz's smug looks of superiority. Gotham here he comes!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Damian Wayne scowled as he scanned the crowed of scientists with more smarts than sense. Really, a flying toilet seat. For what deviant?
"Maybe they're for people who can fly." Kent piped up beside him. Father had let the two of them run off together, and his company was mildly more appealing than being alone with his thoughts.
"Why would Superman ever need to relieve himself mid-air. I do not believe you would appreciate your father's rear end being on display for all the world to see."
"True." Jon hummed. His voice lowered to a whisper. "You think indecent exposure is what your dad meant by "scoping out any potential future villains?"
Damian gave Jon a flat look. The sooner this convention ended, the better.
The crowded shifted, and the mass of visitors pushed toward a certain corner, where a man large enough to rival Superman's build stood upon a podium, with a boy their age off to the side.
"Ladies and gentlemen, let me introduce to you the latest in FentonWorks' innovations, the Fenton Ghost Zone Radar, soon to revolutionise the study of ghosts!"
"I thought ghosts were a magic thing." Jon said. "You know, stuff Constantine and JLD deal with."
"They are."
"Mixing magic and science is like, like, oil and water. No way this guy's serious, is he?"
"His name is Jack Fenton. That's Daniel Fenton, his son." Damian pointed to the boy in question, looking like he'd seen this scene a hundred times before, but with that knowing glint that promised something deeper. "They're normally spotted alongside Jack's wife, Madeline. Widely regarded as quacks by the larger scientific community for chasing paper-thin theories about ghosts, they've nonetheless gained funding from the government. This is the first time they've left their base of operations in Amity Park for years."
"Woah, you know your stuff, Dami!"
Damian glared at the young Superboy in disguise. "I read the briefing files. Didn't you?"
Kent looked uncomfortable and looked away. "Uhh, maybe?"
"Typical."
"Well, if he's so crazy, then why'd your dad even let him in." Upon another scathing glare, Kent relented. "Oh right, the whole supervillain thing."
"Enough chatter. We'll zero in on the younger Fenton. I intend to squeeze him like a grape, and make Father proud."
"Dami maybe you should be a little nicer-" Only for Damian to march off without him.
Honestly, inane niceties were above someone of his status. Those things were Superboy's job, and if Daniel Fenton wouldn't crack, then Damian was itching to try a new torture technique.
Suzanne Ciani - Xenon
Bandcamp HERE
buy track
about
Greg Kmiec’s Xenon pinball machine was released in 1980 and marked a significant milestone in pinball technology and design. The expansion of microchip technology would provide new opportunities for sound designer and synth pioneer Suzanne Ciani, allowing for basic oscillator control and a wider scope for sampling capacity which could facilitate the higher frequencies of a female human voice and entirely reshape the concept of the machine in the process. By using state of the art Synclavier synthesiser technology and an invaluable experience in film scoring and record production Suzanne would devise a complete minimal music score for the machine, then dissect the piece into separate fragments that would be triggered throughout the game play adding an extra creative dimension in player inter-activity (potentially turning the participant into their own musical arranger). By incorporating her own infamous voice box (which had been the focus of a seminal David Letterman Show feature) Suzanne’s combination of a harmoniser and a vocoder also provided the first-ever female identity to a pinball machine which in conjunction with the games ergonomic design and Paul Faris’ figurative graphics (echoing the aesthetic of Rene Laloux and Roland Topor’s La Planète Sauvage) Xenon was able to add a degree of subconscious sensuality to its performance, a feature previously unchartered in arcade development.
(CHAPTER 7)Z=155: Science is Elegant
"<Yes, indeed. sniping is the most elegant scientific way to do battle!>"
Xeno declared, a subtle smirk playing on his lips. He gestured with a flourish, emphasizing the word "elegant," as if dissecting the very concept of warfare. He continued, his voice a low, confident hum,
"<We avoid a messy confrontation, and eliminate the key target in short order. Thereby bringing an end to the war while incurring the fewest casualties.>" He leaned back in his chair, the picture of self-satisfaction.
Meanwhile, aboard the Perseus, Luna, clad in a stealth suit that blended seamlessly with the ship's interior, moved with practiced ease. Her mission: locate Dr. Taiju. She subtly activated her comms, sending a coded signal to Stanley, confirming her readiness to begin her investigation. The signal was a quick burst of static, almost imperceptible, but Stanley, perched high above in his sniper's nest, received it loud and clear.
Below, in the makeshift command center, Carlos watched the live feed from Luna's camera, his brow furrowed with concern.
"<Kuhhh! Of course Miss Luna snuck in no problem! The bad guys are probably head over heels for her,>" he exclaimed, the last part delivered with a nervous chuckle. He wasn't entirely sure about the "head over heels" part, but he knew Luna's beauty was a powerful weapon.
Max, standing beside Carlos, shared his anxiety. "<Kahhh! Curse that Stanley for exposing Miss Luna to danger like this!>" he growled, clenching his fist. He paced back and forth, his worry palpable.
"<But this sniping plan…>" Max muttered, glancing up at Stanley's distant position.
"<I wonder how long we'll be here…?>" Carlos finished, his eyes mirroring Max’s apprehension.
High above them, Stanley peered through the scope of his rifle, his focus laser-sharp. "<Which one is he? Which one is Dr. Taiju…?>" he murmured to himself, scanning the crowd below, searching for the telltale signs that would identify his target.
Back on the Perseus, Minami, her voice amplified by the ship's communication system, addressed the enemy forces, her tone a mix of defiance and diplomacy.
"And that's the gist of it! We're out to revive all of humanity! We were hoping to have your cooperation, of course," she announced, the message broadcasting across the airwaves.
"Obviously we won't surrender and serve under you, but…we're always open to a civilized discussion!!"
Inside the Perseus’s makeshift bridge, Ginro peeked through the doorway, a confused expression on his face. "Can the enemy even hear what you're saying?" he asked.
"Radio broadcast," Homura replied curtly, not bothering to look up from her own task.
"I figure it's worth putting out there, at least," Minami added, shrugging. "Though we don't know what sort of person Dr. Xeno really is."
Meanwhile, in the factory, (Y/n) leaned against the doorframe, her gaze fixed on Gen, who was performing some minor task nearby. Her stare was intense, unwavering, and Gen felt it like a physical weight.
'Ahh~….I should be happy that the lovely woman is staring at me,' Gen thought, sweat dripping down his temple, 'but I can't – she can clearly see right through me!!'
He tried to appear nonchalant, but his every movement betrayed his unease. He avoided (Y/n)'s gaze, his eyes darting nervously around the room.
Xeno, seated at his desk with headphones on, his back to the pair, spoke without turning around. "<Now dear, stop staring at Mr. Gen, he might already be dead if you continue to do so.>"
'Yes, please…!' Gen thought, sighing in relief as the oppressive gaze finally lifted.
"<I suppose…>" (Y/n) replied, closing her eyes briefly. A whirlwind of thoughts swirled through her mind. '<Tsk, an amateur magician, eh? You may fool Xeno with your pretend façade, but to me, you don't. And Luna? I have doubts about her. She can fool anybody, yes, but anyone can fool her easily too. Maybe they're going to trick her into something right now in exchange for information.>'
And just as (Y/n) suspected, a plan was indeed unfolding to deceive Luna.
"<Hello, again. Luna, was it? My name is Senku.>" Senku said, his voice smooth and confident. He extended a hand, unaware that he was unintentionally cutting off Luna's shocked expression. Luna was taken aback. Dr. Taiju, the science leader of the Kingdom of Science, was unexpectedly…charming?
'<This charming Senku is quite unsettling,>' Luna thought, her mind racing. '<He's probably gonna take his time to ask about Dr. Xeno in some roundabout way!>'
Kinro and Yuzuriha, standing nearby, exchanged nervous glances. 'He's playing it up,' they thought simultaneously, sweat dripping down their foreheads.
"<I need info on Xeno. Tell me everything you know. Now. Quickly.>" Senku’s sudden shift in demeanor, his charming facade dropping away to reveal a sharp, demanding edge, startled everyone.
Yuzuriha, Kinro, and Kirisame abruptly stood up, their faces etched with concern. "Senku!"
Senku, his attention now focused on Ryusui, who had just arrived with Francois, waved them off. "What? The interrogation was going well," he replied, crossing his arms.
Ryusui, however, had other ideas. He pulled Senku aside, explaining his strategy. "As we need the young lady to open her heart to us," he suggested, "please make use of Bar Francois." Francois, standing nearby, placed a hand on their chest and bowed, happily obliging.
"The trick to winning someone over is fulfilling their desire!" Ryusui declared.
"I do not know what Master Luna desires, but we can venture a guess," Francois suggested.
"Hmph, how about…the last thing that anyone'd say they hate…" Ryusui hinted.
"Ice cream!!" The word hung in the air, a beacon of sugary hope.
Inside the lab mobile, Senku quizzed Ryusui. "You got data to back that up?"
"Sure, my research as a desire specialist!" Ryusui replied confidently.
"It's true – I can't imagine there's much of an anti-ice cream faction out here," Minami added.
"You'd gotta be nuts to have anything against ice cream!" Yo exclaimed, his eyes glazing over as he daydreamed of frozen delights.
Senku launched into an explanation of the ice cream-making process, as he and Francois began preparing the treat. "The ingredients are exceedingly simple," he began. "Milk." He held up a carton. "Sugar." He displayed a bag. "And in place of gelatin…we'll use kudzu powder to achieve that smooth, velvety mouthfeel."
"Vanilla essence makes the difficulty skyrocket," Senku added.
"I remember, I had a hard time using it for Valentine's Day," Yuzuriha shared, a nostalgic smile gracing her lips.
"Since vanilla beans don't grow in the U.S., we gotta synthesize the flavor with science!" Senku explained, holding up a test tube and a copper wire. "Wrap copper wire around a test tube…stick a piece of iron inside…hook it up to our cellphone's high-voltage battery…and switch it on!!" Ginro stared at the setup, his eyes wide with fascination.
"Whoa, it's glowing purple!"
As the "ice cream making" proceeded inside the lab, Luna couldn't resist peeking through the window, her curiosity piqued.
'<What are they up to? Hm…?>' she wondered.
Inside, the ice cream production continued. "Stinks like a swimming pool!!" Minami complained, pinching her nose.
"Or like a photo-copier, I'd say," Ryusui added.
"That's ozone you're smelling," Senku confirmed.
"I thought we were trying to make ice cream?! Wanna get us back on track?!"
"Take bay laurel extract…boil it in our old friend sodium hydroxide…and infuse it with the ozone we just made…to get…vanilla essence!" Senku declared, combining the ozone and sodium hydroxide, producing a sweet-smelling mixture.
"Just like that?" Minami asked, incredulous.
"Smells…sweet!" Homura agreed, unable to resist the enticing aroma.
Senku then poured the mixture into a container filled with the other ingredients and placed it in a larger bowl of ice. "Stir well as the ingredients chill." As they sprinkled salt on the ice, Francois addressed Taiju, who was diligently stirring the container.
"Adding salt to the ice drops the temp a few dozen degrees," Senku explained.
Luna, still peering through the window, spotted Dr. Taiju. '<There's Dr. Taiju! I have to get near and point him out…!>' she thought, moving closer. Nikki intercepted her, blocking her path.
"<Not so fast. Since you're hurt, you better get some rest,>" Nikki suggested, her arms crossed protectively over her chest. She gave Luna a pointed look, subtly conveying that she wasn't buying Luna's act.
"<Th-thanks, I'm okay!>" Luna stammered, her agitation barely concealed. She tried to brush past Nikki, but Nikki stood firm.
A few minutes later, the ice cream-making process reached its culmination. Francois, with a flourish, poured the finished ice cream into a pre-chilled, icing-like container, then expertly swirled it onto a crisp cone. A triumphant announcement echoed through the lab:
SOFT-SERVING ICE CREAM, ACQUIRED!!
A buzz of excitement filled the air as everyone was offered a cone. Luna accepted hers hesitantly. As the first lick of the icy treat touched her tongue, a wave of nostalgia washed over her. The familiar sweetness, the creamy texture…it was a taste from a world lost. Tears welled up in her eyes, a mixture of bittersweet memories and the simple pleasure of the ice cream.
After a moment, Luna, her voice still slightly choked with emotion, turned to Senku, who was perched on the lab mobile's roof, gazing up at the star-studded sky. "<That electric stuff…how'd you use it to make vanilla?!>" she asked, her curiosity piqued.
Senku looked down at her, a hint of a smile playing on his lips. "<There's always a workaround for whatever we're lacking. Humans have been persevering like that for two million years,>" he replied. He paused, then continued, his voice taking on a more passionate tone.
"<Getting to the root of the raw elements that make up this world of ours helps us create stuff we got no business having. That's the sweet side of organic chemistry.>"
Luna, still holding the half-eaten ice cream, looked at it thoughtfully. Senku’s words echoed in her mind. Then, as if snapping out of a trance, she remembered her mission.
'<Nope, nuh-uh. I'm supposed to be into intellectual types! And Dr. Taiju is their science leader, right?!>' she thought, her resolve hardening.
She turned back to Senku, forcing a smile. "<J-job well done, with this! To borrow Xeno's favorite word, it's really…>" she paused, searching for the right word.
"<Elegant,>" Luna finished, Senku's eyes widening slightly.
The word hung in the air, charged with unspoken meaning. Senku stared at Luna, a look of stunned realization on his face.
"<Luna, is Dr. Xeno…a former NASA scientist?>" he asked, his voice barely a whisper.
Luna blinked, surprised by the question. "<How'd you know that…?>" she replied, unknowingly confirming Senku's suspicions.
A tense silence followed. Ryusui, who had been observing the exchange, looked at Senku expectantly. "Well? Who is he?"
Senku remained silent for a moment, lost in thought. Then, finally, he spoke, his voice filled with a mixture of surprise and revelation. "When I…started making rockets…Dr. Xeno was my science mentor." He placed his hands on his hips, his gaze fixed on the stars, the weight of the revelation settling upon him.
