How to Fortify your Memory with Memory Supplements?
Do you have difficulty remembering where you put your glasses? Having trouble remembering the name of the person you just met, or even forgetting where you put your car keys? If you do, don’t worry; You’re not the only one.
Tumblr media
Can memory supplements fortify memory?
There may be no such ‘magic bullet’ for memory loss, but you can take memory-boosting supplements that may boost brain health and help slow it down.
With thousands of different supplements on the market, many of which claim to help with memory, it is pretty daunting to know which you can take to help slow memory loss.
However, many studies focus more on some supplements than others, and it’s these vitamins, minerals, and herbs you’ll want to add to your diet if you’re looking to boost your brain health and slow down cognitive decline.
How do supplements fortify memory?
Enhance Blood Delivery
Memory supplements cause better brain circulation; the more oxygen and nutrients your brain can receive, the more memory support your brain can receive throughout life. Supplements like ginkgo, resveratrol, lutein, zeaxanthin, CoQ10, and other vitamins and minerals promote healthy blood flow to the brain and cause brain sharpness.
Boost Energy
Although the brain weighs just 2-3 pounds, it uses at least 20 percent of all the body’s energy to function correctly. These supplements aid in energizing the memory process.
Promote Brain Connectivity
The brain’s trillions of synapses cause various actions to make the brain function. The numerous antioxidants in brain power-boosting supplements help protect these synapses from damage.
Enhance Neurotransmitter Support
Neurotransmitters, aka chemical messengers, travel along synapses in the brain and cause brain functions. These supplements and other minerals support multiple neurotransmitter systems’ production, release, and synapse actions across the brain.
Here are a few supplements that help you to fortify your memory: –
Docosahexaenoic Acid (DHA)
What is DHA?
DHA, aka Docosahexaenoic Acid, is an omega-3 fatty acid commonly found in oily fish. It acts as a significant building block of the brain, but we can often be deficient in it because many people don’t eat non-veg very often. However, alternate fish oil supplements are widely available in the market.
How it is Beneficial to memory
DHA or fatty acid is crucial to a healthy brain. People with memory loss, depression, brain fog, mood swings, attention deficit disorder, and dementia have all seen improvements after taking the proper dosage of DHA supplements.
 Source of omega-3 fatty acid
 Fatty fish, i.e., Salmon, mackerel
Shellfish, i.e., crab, clam oysters
Chia seeds and flax seeds
Seaweed and sea vegetables
Vitamin D
What is it?
The body naturally gets vitamin D when ultraviolet rays from the sun hit our skin. Unfortunately, some places do not have an excellent rep for large amounts of sunshine, and people spend a lot of time inside their homes or covered up, so it’s worth topping up your levels with a vitamin supplement.
Why try it?
Recent studies confirm the sufficiency of vitamin D3 to promote healthy mood, cognitive brain function, immune response, muscle and bone strength, depression, and other diseases such as cancer, diabetes, and heart disease. Vitamin D3 also benefits various other brain functions that promote healthy brain functioning.
Top sources for vitamin D:
Fatty fish, i.e., Salmon, sardines, herring
Egg yolks
Mushrooms, if grown in the sunlight
Breakfast cereals and other fortified foods
Sunlight
GINKGO BILOBA
What is it?
Ginkgo biloba is a prevalent herbal remedy that originated in China. The herb contains phytochemical chemical compounds that occur naturally in plants.
Why try it?
These phytochemicals have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. It has been proved that plant extract allows healthy blood flow, which is necessary for optimal brain function and can protect the brain cells from damage. These herbs also improve blood flow to the brain, which helps prevent the accumulation of beta amyloids which can cause Alzheimer’s disease and promote mental sharpness.
Top source of Ginkgo Biloba
Gingko tree leaves aka Maidenhair tree
Magnesium
What is it?
Magnesium is a mineral that stimulates changes in synapses, the junctions between neurons that are important in transmitting nerve signals.
Why try it?
A proper dosage of magnesium helps memory by promoting neurogenesis, which is the formation of new brain cells, and short-term and long-term memory and reduces the risk of age-related memory loss
Top source of magnesium
Nuts
Seeds
Dark leafy vegetables
Dark chocolate
Summary
Changes to your body and brain memory are normal as you age and keeping an eye on any unusual signs is mandatory. There are many ways to take care of your brain by doing brain exercises, getting proper sleep, and taking supplements.
The experts at BIPRI have studied the best combination of supplements and have carefully crafted solutions to various brain conditions. Kuroken AU where Kuroo looks through Kenma's tablet notes app for some passwords Kenma told him would be there. He finds what he needs but scrolling through the notes he finds something else. He finds a note, last updated three weeks ago and titled "Kuro" and nothing else.
It's a list and a pretty long one at that. It goes like this:
Favorite Soup: Miso because he's boring, but sometimes he prefers it with clam or fish balls because he likes his docosahexaenoic acid
Favorite Suit Fabric: Worsted wool, because he likes how comfortable it is, but many of his current ones are a polyester blend for less wrinkles. I prefer him in silk though
Favorite Tie: Standard sized with basic patterns like stripes or polka dots because he "needs to be professional but not too much that he loses personality." Buy him novelty ties sparingly or he'll be tempted to wear the tackiest ones everyday like a high school science teacher
Favorite color: Red and blue in equal amounts since that's what makes up half his clothes in our closet. I don't think he's noticed yet. Black is my favorite color on him, especially when it's form fitting
Favorite Dessert: Dorayaki, but he doesn't have much of a sweet tooth because he's an old man that likes salty foods more
Favorite Onigiri Filling: Umeboshi because it reminds him of his grandparents
Favorite Vending Machine Drink: Chilled green tea because it's not sweet for his old man taste buds
Favorite Ice Cream Flavor: Vanilla like his sex fantasies and claims it's a good base to add toppings, though he only ever adds sprinkles
Favorite Shampoo Scent: He likes green apple because he says it's a fresh scent, but we both know it's because I've been using green apple shampoo all my life and still do, and he's too lazy to buy his own shampoo now that he lives with me
Favorite Laundry Detergent and Fabric Softener Brands: 'Attack' because that's what his dad uses and 'FaFa' because he finds the brand bear mascot cute
Favorite Alcoholic Beverage: Whiskey on the rocks and calls it his big boy drink. He also likes warm shochu in the winter
Favorite Sports Shoe Brand: ASICS, he likes to have a white pair to coordinate with his suits when he needs to be on the court on business. He keeps separate black ones for his sport activities so the business ones stay clean longer
Favorite Flower: Camellia, since he brings them to me all the time. I asked the gardener to plant some in the back garden, so he can have a supply closer to home
Favorite Type of Fish: Mackerel because it's affordable and high in nutrients
Coffee or Tea? He prefers hot teas without any sugar, but his coffee must be black if he drinks it, because he's boring and a tired salaryman. DO NOT give him espresso though, he can't handle it and also do not offer creamers or sugars because he claims it's for the youths
Things He Needs:
New socks, I saw some holes on his work socks the other day
New cologne, because he's running out and I like him smelling nice
More shaving cream and razors since he doesn't like how scratchy his skin feels, even though I like it
A new dress shirt since I accidentally spilled sauce on one of his favorite ones when I wore it and I couldn't clean the stain off
More hoodies so I can steal his old ones permanently
New volleyball equipment for the backyard so he can practice at home
New ties because all my tugging him down for kisses ruined the fabric of many of the ones he currently has
A new bento box for his lunch since he's still using the one from university
iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad because he needs to upgrade and get with the times
A copy of Pokemon Pearl so I can trade exclusives easier and also so I can beat his ass in battle
New slippers since the cats peed on his current ones while he was at work and I don't think he's caught on yet
A gaming chair so he can join me in streams and videos easier
Things He Likes (and I like):
Grocery store dates
When I win him stuffed animals at festivals
When I make him lunch for work
When I wear his shirts and nothing else
When I kiss him on the forehead before he heads off to work
Hugging him close at night when he's had a bad day
Holding my hand or having his arm over my shoulders when we're walking
When I leave the door unlocked when I'm in the shower
When I let him sleep on my lap while I play my games
Kuroo scrolled through the rest of Kenma's notes about him, it was full of things he liked and how he liked them and things he needed and why. And despite the teasing commentary in some, Kuroo couldn't help but feel loved.
They were all observations, things Kuroo hadn't even noticed about himself; and they were quiet, detailed and sometimes snarky, typical of Kenma. He reached the end of the very very long list to what must've been the newest update from three weeks ago.
It read: Ring Size - 67 mm in circumference, I'll need to ask what size that is for rings at the jewelers.
Kuroo wanted to kiss him. And he did when Kenma got home later that day from the errand he had to run that afternoon.
Kenma barely leaves the genkan before Kuroo has him in his arms, kissing him fervently "What's gotten into you?" Kenma asks, a little dazed and a couple inches off the floor for optimal kissing distance.
Kuroo lowers Kenma down, but doesn't let go "I'm just so in love with you."
Kenma looks up at him, admiration very evident, "I love you too."
It's a quiet night for them, Kuroo finds himself with his head on Kenma's lap as they watch the latest volleyball ball match of the season. Kuroo comments on a failed play and how it would've been better if they'd done it another way.
"Easily the worst play this game, right Kenma?" Silence. "Kenma?" Kuroo looks up at Kenma, expecting him to be on his phone, but instead he's looking down at him, eyes smiling, but a hint of nervousness, a hint of shyness not typical of Kenma.
At least not when it comes to Kuroo. Kuroo reaches up to caress Kenma's cheek, "Everything alright?"
Kenma brings his hand over Kuroo's, "I'm just so in love with you."
Kuroo snorts "That's my line"
"Can it be my line too?"
"You can have anything you want," Kuroo whispers as he turns his hand to hold Kenma's instead.
"Can I have your hand then?" Kenma says threading his fingers with Kuroo's.
"You're holding it?"
Kenma scrunches his nose "Wrong hand."
Kuroo raises his other one, "This one?"
Kenma rolls his eyes, digging through his hoodie pocket "Not the right hand either." He takes out a ring, a simple platinum band with small neat stones around it, "This hand."
Kuroo looks from the ring in Kenma's hand to his face and back to the ring. "Ring Size: 67 mm in circumference. I'll need to ask what size that is for rings at the jewelers" the last update on Kenma's list had said.
"Tetsurou, will you marry me?"
Kuroo answers by leaning up and kissing the love of his life.
Kenma responds quickly, dragging and rearranging Kuroo on top of him, game forgotten as they remained liplocked for the rest of the evening.
"So is that a yes?" Kenma asks coyly as he draws shapes on Kuroo's chest.
They might've done more than kiss on their couch if their pants on the carpet were any indication of that. Kuroo rubs his chin, pretending to think, "I think it's only fair to elope now that you've deflowered me"
Kenma scowls pinching Kuroo's nipple making him yelp in pain, "I change my mind. I don't want your hand in marriage."
"No take backs," Kuroo pinches Kenma's ass in revenge. "Besides I found the list that proves you love me" he teases
"What list?"
"The one on your tablet in your notes where you list all my favorite things"
"You found that??"
"Yeah, this morning when I was looking for those passwords you told me were there"
"Oh" Kenma says, face red trying to cover it with his hair, "Well, you have a list of me too"
Kuroo tucks Kenma's hair behind his ear so he can see his face again, "Yeah, I do" he looks at him with fond eyes, "I'm just so in love with you."
Kenma smiles, fondness and admiration evident as he looks at Kuroo, "I'm just so in love with you too," he says as he leans down to kiss Kuroo once more as tenderly as he feels for the love of his life.
They spend the rest of their night in each other's arms, ring long forgotten, until the next morning when they find it between the cushions.
Kuroo finally says Yes when Kenma asks again for his hand in marriage over breakfast, slipping the ring on his finger, 67 mm in circumference.

Short translation from Twisted Wonderland: the novel
Having collapsed during the overblot battle, Riddle dreams.
"'My beloved Mama is always right. If Mama says it, then it must be true.'
‘Now, for dinner, we have a healthy sautéed tuna with plenty of docosahexaenoic and eicosapentaenoic acids. Oh, but…what is the recommended daily calorie intake for an eight-year-old, again?’
‘600 calories, Mama.’
‘That is correct. So you may eat no more than 100 grams. Understood?’
I nodded, and Mama praised me. That was all I needed.
After that, I never mentioned the strawberry tart again.
‘Today's study of classical magic ends here,’ Mother said, handing me a book on magical ethics.
It is a heavy tome. On the first page there is a famous line: ‘Dedicated to all mages.’ By this point I had been studying magic for many years. I could read books for grown-up mages.
‘Read up to chapter three and summarize it in under a thousand words by tomorrow. Your one hour of self-study begins now,' Mother continued.
‘Yes, Mother,” I replied. Mother smiled.
‘Very well. There is something I need to do, so I will be back in one hour.’
Mother left the room. I knew that she had an important task at this time, every day. When she returns, we are to begin studying magical pharmacology. I should prepare.
My schedule was packed tight, every day. I studied a multitude of subjects.
If I did well, I was praised; if not, I was disciplined. But I was never discontent.
Because if Mother, who is always correct, says something, then it must be true.
This is my normal. Perfect, undisturbed days.
And it was all shattered by a faint sound at my window.
‘Is someone knocking on the glass?’ I reached up and unlocked the window to open it.
There, I saw two boys."

"To celebrate, why don't we all go get something to eat?" Kuroo suggested.
Sounds great," Kai chimed in, his enthusiasm as steady as his easygoing nature. The mere thought of food seemed to lift the heavy atmosphere over the gym. His relaxed demeanor was always a soothing contrast to the intense energy of his teammates, a calm in the storm of their competitive spirits.
"What should we eat?" you asked, genuinely curious and eager to ease the tension. Your eyes flicked between Yaku and Kuroo, sensing the electricity between them.
"Fish!" Kuroo declared enthusiastically, a glint of mischief in his eyes.
"Meat!" Yaku shot back without hesitation, his voice is unyielding. The competitive spark in his gaze was undeniable.
'The suggestion just made the tension even worse!' you thought, feeling the air grow thick.
"Fish? What are you, a grandpa?" Yaku scowled, his eyes narrowing at Kuroo.
Kuroo sneered, not missing a beat. "Could you stop making comments that prove you lack docosahexaenoic acid?" His tone was mocking, and he leaned back slightly, clearly enjoying riling Yaku up.
"What? Speak Japanese!" Yaku snapped, his frustration mounting, a slight flush creeping up his neck. He stepped closer to Kuroo, the tension between them palpable.
"Eat some more fish and learn some things," Kuroo retorted, his tone dripping with mockery. He tilted his head, a smug smile playing on his lips.
You felt your social battery draining rapidly, the escalating tension between Kuroo and Yaku sapping your energy. The intense atmosphere was overwhelming, and you could feel a headache forming as their heated exchange continued.
Your shoulders slumped, and you rubbed your temples to alleviate the growing discomfort.
The gym, a hive of activity moments ago, now felt stifling. The bright overhead lights seemed too harsh, the echo of voices too loud, and the lingering scent of sweat and polished wood too strong.
Your heart raced, and you took a deep breath, feeling the weight of exhaustion settle over you.
With a sigh, you tugged on Yaku's sleeve, trying to pull him away from the heated argument. Your shoulders slumped as you leaned slightly against him, feeling the weight of exhaustion settle over you.
"Yaku, can we go home?" you murmured, your voice low and weary. "I'm not feeling too good."
Yaku's gaze softened instantly as he looked down at you, his usual cool demeanor giving way to concern. His eyes scanned your face, noticing the tiredness and discomfort etched into your features.
He quickly glanced at Kuroo, who had stopped his taunting to watch the exchange with a raised eyebrow.
"Alright," Yaku said, his voice gentle but firm. "Let's head out."
He turned to Kuroo and Kai, offering a polite but strained smile. "Sorry, we'll have to take a rain check on dinner. [Last name] isn't feeling well."
Kuroo's smirk faded as he took in the situation, a hint of concern crossing his face. "Get better soon," he said, his tone softer than before. "We'll catch up later."
Kai gave a sympathetic nod, his easygoing nature coming to the fore. "Take care. Hope you feel better."
'She kinda reminds me of Kenma.' Kuroo stared off in the direction they left in before turning the opposite way to head home.
As you and Yaku made your way out of the gym, you felt a sense of relief wash over you, the cool evening air providing a welcome contrast to the oppressive atmosphere of the gym. Yaku walked close beside you, his presence a comforting anchor. His concern was evident in how he kept glancing at you, ensuring you were alright.
"That was exhausting," you muttered, your voice barely audible as you took in the calming surroundings of the evening. The contrast between the earlier chaos and the serene calm of your walk felt like a balm to your frazzled nerves. "I'm wiped."
"I'm sorry," he said quietly, his voice conveying genuine remorse. "I didn't realize how much that was affecting you."
He guided you through the cool evening air, his hand gently resting on your back as if to offer support. The sky above was painted in dusky shades of purple and orange, a peaceful contrast to the tension-filled atmosphere of the gym.
"I should have been more mindful," Yaku continued, his eyes flickering regretfully. "I didn't mean for it to be so draining."
You offered him a weak smile, appreciating his sincerity even as you felt the weight of exhaustion lift slightly. The steady rhythm of your footsteps seemed to sync with the calming effect of the evening, providing a sense of normalcy after the chaos.
"It's okay," you replied softly, your voice carrying a hint of gratitude. "I just needed a break. Do you wanna rant about it though? What happened between you two?"
Yaku shook his head with a rueful smile. "Later. Let's get you home first."
"Okay, mom."
Later in the evening, you sat in the living room, a steaming cup of tea cradled in your hands. The warmth of the cup seeped into your fingers, providing a comforting contrast to the cool evening air.
The gentle hum of the air conditioner and the soft light of a nearby lamp created a serene atmosphere. The room was cozy, adorned with plush cushions and soft throws draped over the furniture.
Yaku paced back and forth in front of you, his usual calm demeanor replaced by an uncharacteristic frustration.
"And then, he uses big words to make me sound stupid!" Yaku exclaimed, his voice rising in pitch. His eyes flashed with irritation, and his jaw was set in a hard line.
You took a sip of your tea, letting the soothing warmth spread through you. The aroma of chamomile filled the room, adding to the sense of calm you were trying to maintain. "Kuroo knows how to push your buttons," you said gently, watching as Yaku's pacing continued.
His footsteps were heavy on the wooden floor, each step resonating with his frustration.
"That's an understatement," Yaku muttered, running a hand through his hair. His movements were agitated, each step he took heavy with annoyance.
The light from the lamp cast long shadows on the walls, highlighting the tension in his posture. "He's infuriating and petty, always looking for ways to get under my skin."
You couldn't help but smile at his intensity. "You know, I think you two will find something in common eventually. Maybe even become friends."
Yaku stopped mid-stride, turning to face you with a look of disbelief. His eyes widened slightly as if the idea was too preposterous to entertain. "Friends? With Kuroo? Not a chance."
You set your cup down on the table and leaned back, crossing your arms. The soft fabric of the couch felt inviting against your back. "Think about it. You both care deeply about volleyball and work hard. You might not see it now, but there's a common ground there."
Yaku shook his head, his expression skeptical. "I don't see it. All I see is a cocky, annoying--"
"Give it time," You chuckled softly, the sound filling the cozy space of the living room. The flickering flame of a candle on the mantelpiece cast dancing shadows on the walls. "Sometimes, people who clash the most end up understanding each other the best."
Yaku sighed, his shoulders slumping as he sank onto the couch beside you. The cushions sank under his weight, and he leaned forward, elbows resting on his knees. His face was a mix of frustration and weariness. "I don't know. He just... he drives me crazy."
You offered him a reassuring smile. "It's because you both push each other to be better."
Yaku leaned back, staring up at the ceiling with a contemplative expression.
His eyes traced the intricate patterns in the plaster, lost in thought. The soft glow of the lamp created a warm halo around him, softening his features. "Maybe. But right now, it just feels like he's pushing all the wrong buttons."
You reached out and placed a hand on his arm, giving it a gentle squeeze. The fabric of his shirt was soft under your fingers, and you could feel the tension in his muscles slowly easing. "I'll be here to listen."
He glanced at you, his expression softening. "Thanks, [First Name]."
You blinked, surprised by his use of your first name instead of your last name.
It was rare for him to be so informal, especially given the usual formality that characterized your interactions. The sound of your first name on his lips felt intimate.
Noticing your reaction, Yaku's eyes widened slightly, and a faint blush crept up his neck, coloring his usually composed features with an endearing vulnerability.
"Uh, sorry. That just slipped out," he mumbled, his voice barely audible. He looked away, a touch of embarrassment making him fidget with the hem of his shirt. The rare display of uncertainty made your heart soften even more toward him.
"It's okay, Yaku. I don't mind," you said softly, your voice carrying a hint of affection. The warmth of the room seemed to cocoon you both, adding to the sense of intimacy. "We're close friends, I can use yours if you'd like... Morisuke."
Yaku's eyes widened at the sound of his first name. It was rare to hear it outside of his family and hearing it from you felt unexpectedly intimate. A deeper blush spread across his cheeks.
You giggled at his embarrassment, the sound light and teasing. "It's cute seeing you flustered, Morisuke," you teased gently.
"Don't laugh!" He protested, his voice cracked at the sudden change in pitch.
God, it was embarrassing.
The sight of his flustered reaction only made you laugh harder. Your laughter filled the room, a melodic and genuine sound that seemed to bounce off the walls and add to the cozy atmosphere.
Yaku's discomfort was palpable, but the way his eyes darted around and his attempts to hide his blush was endearing, making your amusement even more intense.
"I'll stop" You managed to regain some composure, but a few giggles still escaped as you looked at him with a soft smile.
Clearing your throat, you got up from the couch picked up your empty cup of tea, and went to put it in the sink. "I'm sorry about the teasing, at least you're not angry anymore, I just saved you from getting premature wrinkles."
Yaku let out a soft chuckle, shaking his head as he watched you. "You're impossible," he said, but his tone was affectionate, the earlier frustration dissipating into a more relaxed atmosphere.
Tumblr media
The studio door creaked open, and you stepped inside, inhaling deeply as the familiar scent of paper, paint, and creativity filled your senses. It was Wednesday, your favorite day of the week, and a much-needed break from the demands of managing the volleyball team.
Those duties were relentless—keeping schedules, working equipment, and supporting the players.
But here, in the art studio, you had an escape from all that.
The walls were lined with shelves crammed with art supplies—jars of paint, brushes of every size, stacks of paper—and the tables were scattered with works in progress.
A soft hum of conversation floated through the room, mingling with the quiet scratching of pencils on paper and the occasional rustle of sketchbooks being flipped open.
You made your way to the usual spot, a small table by the window where the light was best, and set down your things. Your sketchbook was already tucked under your arm, a familiar weight that grounded you.
Today, your focus was on hand sketches—a practice you found both challenging and rewarding.
There was something intimate about capturing the complexity of hands, their veins, tendons, and how they moved with purpose and grace.
As you opened the sketchbook to a fresh page, your mind drifted and found yourself sketching a pair of hands with unconscious ease.
The lines of the drawing took shape quickly, your pencil moving almost of its own accord as she outlined the strong, calloused fingers, the prominent veins running along the back of the hand, and the subtle curvature of the wrist.
You added more details, shading the knuckles and emphasizing the way the tendons stood out, revealing a lifetime of movement and precision.
You paused, staring at the sketch you had created, feeling a pang of recognition you couldn’t quite place. The hands you drew seemed familiar, almost as if you had seen them countless times before, but couldn’t pinpoint where or why.
The veins were so distinct, the slight taper of the fingers so clear, that you knew these were hands you had observed with care. Yet, try as you might, couldn’t remember whose hands they were.
You leaned back in the chair, studying the drawing with a critical eye.
The sketch was detailed and accurate, capturing not just the physical appearance of the hands but also something more—something that spoke of strength, determination, and a quiet kindness you couldn’t quite define.
The studio was quieter now; most of the other members had left, and the light outside had softened as the afternoon wore on.
You considered adding more details to the sketch, but your thoughts were interrupted by the sound of the studio door creaking open again. You glanced up, surprised to see Yaku standing in the doorway. His expression softened as he spotted her.
“Looks like you’ve been busy," he said quietly as he walked over, his eyes flicking to the sketchbook. He lingered on the drawing of the hands, his expression unreadable.
“Yeah,” you replied, a warmth spreading at his praise. “I’ve been practicing hand sketches.”
Yaku’s gaze remained fixed on the drawing, and you could see a flicker of recognition in his eyes. He reached out, his hand hovering over the sketch for a moment before he pulled back, as if unsure whether he should touch it. “This is… really good,” he said, his voice soft, almost reverent.
She paused, looking at him with a faint smile. "You think everything I make is good."
Yaku chuckled, a light sound that made her heart flutter. “Maybe I’m just a fan of your work,” he teased, though there was a sincerity in his eyes that told her he meant every word.
You rolled your eyes playfully. "Or maybe you’re just being nice."
He shook his head, his expression turning more serious as he looked at her. “I’m not just being nice. You’ve got real talent. I wouldn’t say it if I didn’t mean it.”
"I know, Mori."
YEAR ONE COMPLETE
Bonus:
“I don’t think you have to worry about me and Kuroo fighting as much anymore,” Yaku said, breaking the comfortable silence.
“Something happened?” she asked, tilting her head slightly.
“We named off our goals, and we both wanted to win nationals.” He shrugged a casual gesture that didn’t quite hide the significance of the moment.
She smiled, a warm feeling spreading through her. “That’s great to hear. I know it hasn’t been easy for either of you.”
“Yeah,” Yaku agreed, his smile widening. “It feels good to be on the same page."

[Gakuen K] Extras Translation
Special Club Quiz Championship
Tumblr media
LIST OF CHAPTERS
[Translation under the cut]
Tumblr media
Anna: [Ladies and Gentlemen. Now, we are going to have a special club quiz championship. Applause]
 *lazy applause*
Anna: […]
Anna: […Those of you who didn't clap, next time be prepared to get horrible grades on your final test. Applause]
*heavy applause*
Anna: [Now, here are the clubs that have entered the quiz competition…]
Anna: [Under the leadership of Mikoto with a beautiful Red -- The Red club]
Anna: [The first ones whose uniforms you'll want to paint with ketchup -- The Blue club]
Munakata: I don't like that catchphrase…
Anna: [Those whose presence is unnoticeable -- The Silver club]
Shiro: T-that's not true! We have traditional club activities!
Anna: These are the three teams. Which team will win?
Anna: So, let's start. The first question…
*sound signal*
Anna: …
Anna: …Yes, the Silver club.
Shiro: Uh…
Anna: First question, answer.
Shiro: Ahaha, sorry. I was wondering what the button was for and accidentally pressed it.
Anna: It is a button for a quick quiz. It's what you press when you answer the quiz. Didn't you listen to the explanation before we started?
Munakata: I guess the Silver club pressed the button because they knew the answer. Please go ahead and answer.
Shiro: Ehh! I just made a mistake. Oh well. Never mind. The answer is "rice"!
Anna: Wrong...Continuing with the first question. A "bun" is a piece of bread, but…
Anna: …Which composer has a word "Bun (パン pan)" in his name. Answer with the full name.
Kusanagi: What's with that question? That's a pretty difficult quiz.
Totsuka: Fufu, not really.
Munakata: Frederic Francois Chopin(ショパン, Shopan)
Anna: Correct. The Blue club gets 10 points.
Tumblr media
Munakata: Plump bun!
Anna: Correct. The Blue club gets 10 points.
Totsuka: Munakata-san is amazing. He has been answering correctly from the first question. No wonder he wears glasses!
Kusanagi: I can't believe how many questions he answered correctly. I'm sure he's actually smart, but…Our king doesn't move an inch.
Totsuka: That's right. Shiro-kun pushing too fast for no reason and keeps getting penalties…Hm?
Kusanagi: What's going on? Someone went up on the stage.
Kuroh: Shiro, switch with me.
Shiro: Okay, but…Weren't you uninterested in the quiz competition?
Kuroh: I was uninterested. …But I can't sit silently and watch this situation.
Kuroh: Why do you push the button before the question is asked?
Shiro: I figured if I didn't push fast, someone else would beat me to it.
Kuroh: Do you really think you can say something random and get it right when you don't know the question?
Shiro: I thought if I hit enough times, I'd get one right~
Kuroh: …By the way, how many scores do you currently have?
Shiro: 0 points!
Kuroh: It's beyond appalling. Switch.
Shiro: Okay-okay, I got it. Kuro, I wish you good luck.
Kusanagi: Oh, a change of players. I think the Red club better do something too. --Yata-chan.
Yata: What is it?
Kusanagi: Get up on the stage and switch with Mikoto.
Yata: I!?
Kusanagi: Mikoto not answering the questions at all. If it continues like this, we'll lose to the Blue club.
Yata: …I hate losing. I'm going!
Totsuka: …Yata don't look like a strong quizzer.
Kusanagi: It's feels like clinging to straw. I hope for a miracle.
Kusanagi: …Eh, you should have come out. You're strong at trivia.
Totsuka: But look at Yata. He's all fired up.
Kusanagi: Please, a miracle. Just for a moment, take the stupidity out of Yata!
Tumblr media
Munakata: The answer is "Docosahexaenoic acid".
Anna: Correct. The Blue club adds another 1O points.
Kuroh: Damn, as expected of the school's most smartest…
Yata: W-what is it? Doco-something acid. What language is this…?
Munakata: …Fushimi-kun, are you there?
Fushimi: What is it?
Munakata: It would be no fun at all if we keep winning like this.
Munakata: Please switch with me and participate in the quiz competition as a representative of the Blue club.
Fushimi: Wouldn't it be better if we just win?
Munakata: There is nothing more boring than a game you know you are going to win.
Fushimi: …Understood.
Fushimi: Hi, Misaki.
Yata: Saru…
Fushimi: How did you decide to come out in Mikoto-san's place?
Yata: For the sake of the Red Club's victory!
Fushimi: And you, with your thick brain, are the one saying that? …Hehe. Isn't this funny? I'm gonna beat you, Misaki!
Anna: …Saruhiko, refrain from private conversation. Now, the next question.
Anna: The greatest calligraphers of the "Three brushes" are Kukai, Emperor Saga, and who?
Yata: It's obvious! It's Mikoto-san!
Anna: Wrong.
Fushimi: Mikoto-san is not a master calligrapher, is he? You don't know that even though you've spent so much time together? That's why you're an idiot…
*sound signal*
Fushimi: Tsk…beat me to it.
Kuroh: It's Tachibana no Hayanari.
Anna: Correct. The Silver club, 10 points.
Yata: Don't be so slow at pressing the button, Saru!
Fushimi: Shut up. It's just a coincidence.
Fushimi: I'd rather correct the mistake than be an idiot who thinks he answered correctly.
Yata: What?!
Kusanagi: That's bad. Those two have started fighting.
Kusanagi: Hey, President-san. I'll stop Yata, you take care of Fushimi.
Munakata: It's funny, why not leave it as it is?
Kusanagi: …You're The Head of Student Council. Isn't it your job to do something about student problems?
Munakata: Look at the audience. It's getting quite lively, isn't it?
Munakata: The main purpose of the school festival is to entertain everyone. They are making a contribution, I'm not going to stop them.
Kusanagi: Eh…He's gone. Is it really okay?…?
Shiro: I think it would be fine. I'd like to visit the food stalls. I think the booths are open right now.
Mikoto: …Let's go.
Kusanagi: Even Mikoto! What the heck, everyone's acting too freely!
Totsuka: Well, now as it turned this way, there's nothing we can do about it, right?
Kusanagi: Is is all right? This school festival…
Totsuka: It's fine, it's fine. Everything will work out somehow. Let's follow King too!

There are several other vitamins and minerals that play important roles in brain function, mood regulation, and memory. Here are some key nutrients that are essential for brain health:
1. B Vitamins: B vitamins, including B6, B9 (folate), and B12, are crucial for brain function and the production of neurotransmitters. They help support cognitive function, mood regulation, and memory. Foods rich in B vitamins include whole grains, leafy green vegetables, nuts, seeds, legumes, eggs, and dairy products.
2. Omega-3 Fatty Acids: Omega-3 fatty acids, specifically docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), are important for brain health and cognitive function. They are essential for building and maintaining brain cell membranes and are thought to help support neurotransmitter function. Sources of omega-3 fatty acids include fatty fish (such as salmon, mackerel, and sardines), flaxseeds, chia seeds, and walnuts.
3. Magnesium: Magnesium is involved in hundreds of biochemical reactions in the body, including those related to brain function. It plays a role in neurotransmitter regulation, mood stabilization, and memory. Magnesium-rich foods include leafy green vegetables, nuts, seeds, whole grains, and legumes.
4. Zinc: Zinc is an important mineral for brain health and neurotransmitter function. It is involved in the regulation of mood, memory, and cognitive function. Good sources of zinc include meat, shellfish, nuts, seeds, and legumes.
5. Vitamin D: Vitamin D is essential for overall brain health and cognitive function. It plays a role in neurotransmitter production and mood regulation. Vitamin D can be obtained through exposure to sunlight and through foods such as fatty fish, eggs, and fortified dairy products.
Incorporating a balanced diet rich in these nutrients, along with regular physical activity, adequate sleep, and stress management, can help support overall brain health and cognitive function.

hi!! could i have a matchup? ur super cool for doing this, i know it means a lot to so many people. and i love ur writing too!
i want to be this emoji pls 🥭
long
romantic matchup pls
i use she/her pronouns and id like to be paired w a guy pls
my ideal partner is the perfect balance of serious and unserious, someone who’s quietly smart (like they don’t make it super known and won’t rub it in your face if you need help with something academic but also aren't like dense), and will indulge my odd interests and hyperfixations without judgement
i am 5’10” which is one of my favorite traits about myself
so i actually have no idea how to describe myself cause im scared of sounding vain but my friends have said: “witty, introspective, passionate, strategic” or “confident, loyal, hardworking” and idk which is more accurate to people around me, so im giving both
i’ve been playing field hockey and lacrosse since i was 11 as a defender for both. never had a knack for offense. wish I did though. (had a coach ruin lacrosse for me though so i’m going to quit though… love field hockey though)
i also love any form of media. classical lit, films (love psychological horror, letterboxd, and my amc subscription). anything i can find deeper philosophical meaning in is right up my alley.
my love language for giving is physical touch. i love giving hugs, getting them is another story
receiving is definitely quality time and words of affirmation. i get a little nervous that people don’t actually like me so i really appreciate when people make time for me.
stargazing and a picnic. i study astrophysics in school and the amount of deep conversations i’ve gotten in while sitting with friends at night is astonishing. also will totally be judging to see if people let me rant about the constellations and philosophy of the universe.
here are my biggest pet peeves: slow walkers x1000, slow drivers, traffic, people who cancel plans last minute, really anything that wastes my time
you're so cool! thought u should know that in case you don't hear it enough <3 hugs

headcanons
🥛 i know we always focus on kuroo for that "docosahexaenoic acid" comment
🥛 but i believe in the manga yaku also made a chemistry comment
🥛 so he's definitely not dumb
🥛 and while kuroo would probably tease you first if you asked for help with homework or a project, yaku definitely wouldn't say anything
🥛 probably swears by flashcards as a study technique
🥛 hopefully you don't mind that he's shorter than you lol
🥛 he probably wouldn't mind since it's not like he's insecure about his height
🥛 but he WILL get made fun of
🥛 especially by kuroo
🥛 and especially if you wear heels
🥛 yaku would definitely be attracted to your confidence and work ethic
🥛 he's also very strategic and passionate (especially when it comes to volleyball) so you have that in common
🥛 he also strikes me as a bit of a media lover
🥛 so you'd definitely spend a lot of time watching movies or reading books
🥛 i don't think he's a horror or psychological guy though
🥛 more like . . . documentary
🥛 or science / historical fiction
🥛 also strikes me as the type of guy to lowkey get road rage
🥛 he feels very no-nonsense, especially post-timeskip, so he'd also hate people who waste time
🥛 man is loaded with money and is determined to keep making it
🥛 so he tends to live life at a fast pace and doesn't always make time for the small things
🥛 he'll definitely appreciate it if you hold a deep conversation with him or teach him a bit about astrology
🥛 he's never given much thought to the stars before but once he looks at them closer he realizes they're pretty cool
🥛 will definitely walk away from a stargazing date with a new worldview and a higher level of appreciation for you
🥛 even though yaku is very busy, you can tell he really appreciates you because he always makes time for you
🥛 he's definitely not clingy so it's perfectly fine if you don't want to be hugged or cuddled all the time!
🥛 however he'll never turn you down if you want to hug him
🥛 actually sees it as cute that you trust him enough to want to hug him
runner up for you was sugawara kōshi!

A/N: there you go 🥭anon, i hope you like it! and thank you for the compliment, you're so sweet!

tuna, nope. cream dory, no. halibut, eh. salmon, meh. where’s the mackerel?
the last time i was here, looking for the mackerel, i was with tetsurou. he would always know where the mackerel is; an accomplishment he deemed deserving of a kiss. a reward that i always denied to give because – i will not kiss you in front of the fishes, tetsu. it’s weird they’re like looking at us with their freaky fisheyes.
browsing the shelves at the fish section should not be melancholic. but it is inevitable when this particular place holds a lot of memories. as pungent as it is, the smell reminds me of countless, repeated conversations about the benefits of docosahexaenoic acid in mackerel and a trick to pick the best, fresh slice of fish: remember that it should not smell sour or ammonia-like, clear eyes, firm flesh, and red blood lines.
bass… tilapia… cod… mackerel, bingo!
it has been three months since i fucked all it up given my hobby of self-sabotage and isolation. do i deserve to cry when i was the one to hurt both of us? do i deserve to miss him? because i do, i miss him to the point that i would crave grilled salted mackerel when i do not even like eating fish. maybe it’s true that the tastebuds crave what the heart misses. food is more than food; it is medium of connection and love. that’s why when i give you piece of my mackerel, i’m giving piece of my heart to you. that’s what he always said. (and oh god, i think i’m going to cry. i can’t breathe, i can feel tears welling in my eyes).
“this is the last place i would have expected to bump into you,” a playful, familiar voice jerks me out of my thoughts.
bad timing. bad timing. bad timing. the universe is out to get me today because why now when i’m trembling, forcing myself to not cry. craning my neck to my left, i see tetsurou with his perpetual bed hair, tall and lean stature, and his god-awful neon red windbreaker, sporting a polite smile.
“hey,” i try to say normally while hiding the fact that i’m on the verge of breaking down in this grocery store’s fish section.
"yo," his voice sounded taken aback, possibly in reaction to my flushed face. "are you okay?
i awkwardly laughed, “yeah, yeah… i’m okay probably just allergies… from the fish smell.” what the fuck did i even said.
“what?” amusement drawn on tetsurou’s face, scratching his cheek in thought.
“nothing, forget what i said,” i say sheepishly. “so…”.
“it was nice to see you again,” he offered me a soft look in his eyes and a genuine smile that i don’t think i deserve from him, especially from him.
i exhaled, trying to keep my tears at bay and my heart from beating out of my ribcage, “yeah, me too.”
he waves goodbye, retreating to the produce section to buy potatoes, a fact that he let out as a goodbye. i just hope that he did not notice the mackerel in my basket.
Tumblr media
tetsurou, on the other hand, also hope that you did not see the content of his basket — chicken breasts, bottles of soy sauce and vinegar, bay leaves, onions, garlic, and packs of sugar and peppercorns. more importantly, he wishes that you don't catch him buying a kilo of potatoes to be used in your infamous chicken adobo with tons of potatoes.
Tumblr media
this is not the best but i just needed to post this for my own sake. but for a first try-ish to write, i'm proud of this. still experimenting with the povs and the overall style that i'm comfortable writing with. highly self-indulgent; writing to process things in my life. not proofread <33 in a way, inspired by michelle zauner's crying in h mart

The Best Sources of Omega-3s: Fish vs. Algae vs. Walnuts. The Essential Nutrient for Heart Health, Brain Health, and More
Tumblr media
Omega-3 fatty acids are a type of polyunsaturated fat that is essential for human health. They play a role in brain development, heart health, and inflammation reduction. The two most important omega-3 fatty acids are eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA).
EPA and DHA are found in fish, shellfish, algae, and some plant oils. Walnuts are the only plant food that contains a significant amount of ALA, which the body can convert to EPA and DHA. However, the conversion rate is low, so you need to eat more walnuts than fish or algae to get the same amount of EPA and DHA.
Tumblr media
EPA and DHA have been shown to have a number of health benefits, including:
* Reducing inflammation
* Improving heart health
* Protecting against cognitive decline
* Promoting brain development in children
* Reducing the risk of chronic diseases such as cancer, Alzheimer's disease, and depression
* Supporting eye health
* Reducing joint pain
The American Heart Association recommends that adults eat two servings of fish per week, especially fatty fish such as salmon, tuna, mackerel, sardines, and herring. These fish are good sources of EPA and DHA.
If you are vegetarian or vegan, you can get EPA and DHA from algae supplements. Algae are a type of marine plant that is rich in EPA and DHA. Algae supplements are available in capsule, powder, and liquid form.
Walnuts are a good source of ALA, which the body can convert to EPA and DHA. However, the conversion rate is low, so you need to eat a lot of walnuts to get the same amount of EPA and DHA as you would from fish or algae.
Tumblr media
Here are some tips for getting more omega-3 fatty acids in your diet:
* Eat two servings of fish per week, especially fatty fish such as salmon, tuna, mackerel, sardines, and herring.
* Take an algae supplement if you are vegetarian or vegan.
* Add walnuts to your diet.
* Choose plant oils that are high in omega-3 fatty acids, such as flaxseed oil and canola oil.
* Avoid processed foods, which are often high in unhealthy fats and low in omega-3 fatty acids.
Omega-3 fatty acids are essential nutrients that have many health benefits. The best sources of omega-3s are fish, algae, and walnuts. However, the types of omega-3s found in these foods are not the same. The omega-3s found in fish and algae are more active and have more health benefits than the omega-3s found in walnuts. If you are looking for the best sources of EPA and DHA, fish and algae are the way to go. However, if you are vegetarian or vegan, walnuts are a good source of ALA.

Title: The Wonders of Omega-3: A Comprehensive Guide to its Health Benefits
Introduction:
Omega-3 fatty acids are essential fats for maintaining overall health and well-being. While the human body cannot produce Omega-3s independently, they are abundantly found in various foods and dietary supplements. One of the most popular sources of Omega-3 is fish oil, renowned for its numerous health benefits. So, if you are looking for the best omega 3 supplement brand- look no further than Naturaltein. Check out our store for other supplements and the best whey protein supplements for improved performance and overall health.
Meanwhile check the article and know the benefits of Omega 3.
Understanding Omega-3 Fatty Acids:
Omega-3 fatty acids comprise three main types: eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), alpha-linolenic acid (ALA),  and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). ALA is primarily found in plant-based sources like flaxseed and chia seeds, while EPA and DHA are found more in fatty fish such as salmon, mackerel, and sardines.
1. Heart Health:
Omega-3s are celebrated for their heart-protective properties. Research has shown that EPA and DHA can help reduce triglyceride levels in the blood, lower blood pressure, and prevent the formation of dangerous blood clots. These benefits collectively contribute to a reduced risk of heart disease and stroke, making Omega-3 an integral part of cardiovascular health.
2. Brain Health and Cognitive Function:
DHA, in particular, is a major component of brain tissue. It is crucial for brain development and maintenance throughout life. Studies have pointed out that consumption of Omega-3s may improve cognitive function, memory, and mood. Additionally, Omega-3s have been associated with less risk of age-related cognitive decrease and neurological disorders such as Alzheimer's disease.
3. Inflammation and Immune Support:
Omega-3s possess powerful anti-inflammatory properties, which can help alleviate chronic inflammation in the body. Chronic inflammation is related to numerous health conditions, including arthritis, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), and autoimmune disorders. By reducing inflammation, Omega-3s can provide relief and support to those suffering from these conditions.
4. Joint Health:
Individuals dealing with joint pain and stiffness due to arthritis may find relief with Omega-3 supplementation. EPA and DHA have been shown to reduce joint tenderness and improve overall joint function, enhancing mobility and quality of life for people with arthritis.
5. Eye Health:
DHA is a significant component of the retina, the eye's light-sensitive layer. Consuming adequate Omega-3s has been associated with a lesser risk of age-related macular degeneration, a leading cause of sight loss in older adults.
6. Pregnancy and Child Development:
Omega-3s are vital for properly developing the baby's brain and eyes during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Expectant mothers who consume sufficient Omega-3s promote healthy brain development in their babies and may reduce the risk of preterm birth.
7. Skin Health:
Omega-3s can have a positive impact on skin health. Their anti-inflammatory properties help alleviate skin conditions like eczema and psoriasis and promote skin hydration and elasticity.
Conclusion:
Incorporating Omega-3 fatty acids into our diet can offer many health benefits, whether through fatty fish, nuts, seeds, or supplements. From supporting heart health to nourishing the brain and easing inflammation, Omega-3s are a powerhouse of nutrients. However, balancing and avoiding excessive consumption is essential, as high doses can interfere with blood clotting. As with any dietary changes or supplements, consulting with a healthcare professional to analyse the right Omega-3 intake for individual needs is recommended. By harnessing the wonders of Omega-3, we can take significant steps towards promoting our overall well-being and leading a healthier, more vibrant life.
