Okay so I’ve been reading a lot of reverse robin AUs recently and I have a hot take. Duke Thomas should be the Dick Grayson parallel instead of Damian.

Hear me out. So bare bones Duke was the last to join in cannon, so he should be the first to join for reverse robins. But to get deeper into it Duke lost both of his parents at the same time setting him down a path of becoming a vigilante. He becomes Bruce’s ward instead of being adopted because he already was raised with two good parents and doesn’t want them to be replaced. He also created his own mantle that was the opposite to Batman, the light to Batman’s dark, inspiring hope against Batman’s fear. He’s friendly and works well and inspires others, but also extremely sharp and smart which people often forget.

Damian would work well as a batgirl parallel more. He would join after Duke but be a few years older, got there already trained and immediately jumping into crime fighting. Covering the areas that Bruce and Duke don’t fill. While Duke takes up his own name Damian would use a name more inspired by Batman himself.

I just think this dynamic of Bruce and Duke being the first dynamic duo would fit so well (also get to spotlight Duke who so often gets overlooked).

Recently I read about how scientists successfully cloned an endangered ferret, and now I can’t get it out of my head of Dean running around calling Gabriel and Castiel to try and stop God!Sam from recreating the dinosaurs. Cas ends up actually trying to help Dean, while Gabriel gives his Amnesic Dad tips on what the animals actually looked like. The rest of the angels think it’s a great idea that Daddy wants to bring back some of his lost creations that aren’t humans

Yall know that tumblr post about child jesus being weird, right?

So imagine that but with little Sammy Winchester. 

Like, he spouts weird shit about the devil and when he’s particularly invested in a book at the library sometimes you’ll see the other books hovering just slightly off the tables and shelves (but they can’t really be floating) and if some kid is bullying another he’ll stare real long and hard and a few days later you’ll hear “did you hear about poor Tommy? That car came out of nowhere.”

And you’ll look over and see him on the street corner holding his brother’s hand staring right at your very soul until his brother tugs on his hand with a “Come on, Sammy.” and you’re released from a hold you didn’t know he had on you as he turns and smiles and says “Okay, Dean!” and they walk away.

I love your reverse bat family AU in ao3 ( good sibling Damian and elder Damian are one of my favorite tropes, especially bonding with his siblings). I noticed that when they met canon batfamily Damian said to Jason he also died . Can you write a fic where older Damian dies and the reaction of the family ( maybe angst at the beginning and later a little fluff).i love that they are spoiling Dick but I want to see them showing their love to Damian, as the oldest(he should die after Dick joined)

Just for clarification, I was talking about the Heretic, which in my mind happened in this universe when Damian was a kid, but I’m down to write this.

For the first time in a long time, the Manor was quiet.

It was unnerving to Bruce, who had not known true silence since before even Damian had joined him at the Manor. 

The thought of his oldest had him fighting back tears. Bruce knew loss intimately. He had thought nothing would ever come close to the pain he had felt the night his parents were murdered, but he was wrong.

This was agony.

Despite their field, Bruce had never lost one of his children before. Friends, coworkers, sure.

But this...

What was he supposed to do?

It took every ounce of his training not to scream in rage and throw one of his glass paperweights into the wall.

There was nothing to research—no villain to hunt down anymore. There was nothing for him to do.

His son was dead.

Zombie AU

A Reverse Batfamily Fic

Summary: An AU of my AU. Zombies.

Dick held onto the back of Damian’s shirt tightly. He wanted to hold Damian’s hand, but the older man needed both hands for using weapons in case they ran into any monsters (and Dick didn’t just mean zombies. Humans could be just as bad, as he had unfortunately learned).

“Dami?” Dick whispered and tugged on Damian’s shirt. “‘M tired.”

Damian peered down at Dick, who stared up at him with watery eyes. Damian had been keeping them going all day, believing that staying on the move would be their best bet at staying alive.

After all, they had both learned the hard way that nowhere would be safe forever.

Damian sighed and looked around. He refused to go anywhere near the big cities, knowing that they would be swarming with the undead. The woods were okay to walk in during the day. It was great cover from human enemies, and they could climb trees and sleep in them for the night if need be. However, the woods did not hold the supplies they needed, and he knew that Richard did not like sleeping in a tree for more than one night. The duo tended to travel at the edge of the woods, making stops in small towns for supplies and a bed. 

Damian took a look at the map and looked at Dick. “The next town is about fifteen minutes away. Can you make it that far?”

Dick hesitated for a moment before nodding. They continued on—Damian striding forward confidently while Dick peered around fearfully. Dick didn’t like showing fear. Watching Bruce and his siblings, as well as fighting villains as Robin, had taught him not to. But then the zombies came, and that had changed things. Dick peered up at Damian before lowering his eyes, guilt churning in his chest.

Everything was different now, and it was all his fault.

can you make a reverse batfam fic where dick and steph are bonding and she’s the best big sister ever?

Dick had days where he spent all day with one sibling (or two, in the case of Jason, as Tim was always there to chaperone, so their days were combined into one). Dick’s day with Cass was quiet. His day with Tim and Jason was chaotic.

His day with Stephanie was just fun.

Stephanie and him were the brightest and chattiest of the family—to put it in a few terms. On days it was just the two of them, they spent their time doing all the fun things the rest of the family either never wanted to do or would break out into a fight if they did participate.

Today, Stephanie was taking him bowling.

Normally, this would be a fun activity for the whole family, but Steph and him took this time to goof off and try to make the most ridiculous bowl, which would have annoyed at least Jason, who was very impatient for his turn, and Damian, who took competitive activities like this seriously.

Afterword whatever activity they had decided to do that day, they would go for ice cream, where they would get the craziest combination of toppings they could think of. Their bowls would be spilling toppings as they made their way to a table, and if Bruce could see their monstrosities he would lecture them for days. Stephanie and Dick didn’t care. Bruce just liked to suck the fun out of things, as Stephanie always said. Besides, Stephanie was 18 and, according to her, that meant she could do whatever she wanted.

Dick couldn’t wait to be 18.

On this particular day, as Dick shoveled his sugar bomb concoction into his mouth and laughed at Stephanie’s antics, he couldn’t help but compare himself to Stephanie. Of everyone in the Manor, Dick believed that he and Stephanie were the most similar. They were the most expressive, the bubbliest, and the most fun. Jason was cool, and their closeness in age made similarities between them easier to find, but Jason was pretty different too. He liked to read books, and sometimes he thought he was too old to play (which he totally wasn’t because Stephanie and Tim and Cass played with him all the time). Tim told him Jason was just going through a phase where he was trying to act older. 

Dick thought that was stupid.

Dick loved all of his siblings equally, but he really cherished the days where it was just him and Stephanie. He liked his quiet days with Cass and Damian. He liked his chaotic days with Jason and Tim. The fun days with Stephanie, however, were the easiest. He didn’t have to pull emotions out of her. He didn’t have to ask for affection for she easily gave it of her own accord. She talked just as much as he did, so he didn’t have to worry that he was annoying her or if she was actually listening, which he still did occasionally. The fear of being kicked out or thrown back into juvie had never truly left him, and sometimes he still worried of pushing too far, especially with Bruce and Damian, the latter’s temper often being thin.

“Hey,” Stephanie’s chipper voice interrupted his thoughts, “you wanna go to the arcade after this? I’m building up tickets to get that giant Spoiler plushie.”

Dick grinned. “Yeah! You think they’re gonna have Robin stuff soon? That would be cool!”

Stephanie laughed and stood, ruffling Dick’s hand with one hand while she gathered their trash with the other. “Maybe! That would be fun. Then we can complete our collection!”

After throwing out their trash, Stephanie let Dick climb onto her back and carried him to the arcade a few blocks over. They spent a few hours there, Dick cheering Stephanie on as she scored perfectly in ski ball and basketball. They were pretty evenly matched at Dance Dance Revolution and air hockey, but Dick totally kicked her ass at one of the racing games, which how?

(Answer: Tim often took Jason and him to the arcade to burn off energy, so Dick had a lot of hours logged.)

When it got close to dinner time, Dick and Stephanie went over to the ticket counter. Dick graciously gave her some of his tickets to put her over the amount needed to get the Spoiler plushie and used the rest to get himself some cheaper Batman- and Shadowbat-themed toys and stickers. Stephanie gave him a big kiss on the cheek as a thank you. They left, waiting outside the arcade for Alfred to pick them up after Stephanie texted him their location.

“This was fun,” Stephanie said, grinning down at Dick as she hefted the giant plushie higher in her arms.

“Lots of fun!” Dick replied, beaming back. “You’re definitely the funnest!”

Stephanie laughed and wrapped an arm around Dick. As he snuggled into her side, eyelids drooping in contentment, he couldn’t help but recall his thoughts from earlier.

Dick loved all of his siblings equally, but Dick thought Stephanie was the only one who truly understood him.

So, I figure since I have so many things I’m working on, and no idea when I’ll actually finish them (outside of my Big Bang Project), I should share the bits of them that I do actually have dhfoiahfiosh

What we have are these:

A fic where Billy meets some older queer people while kicked out, and learns from them how to love himself

“So I’m guessing you’ve never met a queen before,” they said. Billy shook his head.

“I’ve never met any royalty.” Juicy laughed and it made Billy feel like he’d said the wrong thing until she looked at him again, practically beaming.

“Well honey, there’s queens abound in here. Drag Queens, specifically.” Billy’s mouth formed a small ‘o’.

“So, you’re a… man?” Juicy shook her head.

“Personally, I find man and woman too limiting. All gender is a costume, darling. I just think dresses are prettier than suits.”

“You haven’t been in the right suits,” Cindy said with a smirk. Juicy gave her the finger without looking.

“It’s called taste, sweetie.” Cindy just laughed. Billy stared at Juicy, feeling awed by them. They were so tall, toned and beautiful. Their skin was dark and glistened with the glitter they’d spread over it. “I’m sure you have taste, don’t you munchkin?” Billy couldn’t help it and he pouted.

“I’m not short, I’m average for my age,” he snapped. Juicy just smiled.

“I like you,” they said, pointing a long nailed finger at him.

A Cheesy Summer Camp Horror fic, with romance and comedy because Like.  Y’all know me.

“Let’s stop talking about her,” Heather cut in. “Let’s talk about this weekend.”

“This weekend?” Billy asked, perking up. “What about it?”

“Well, I was thinking we could celebrate the end of the first week with a skinny dip,” she said, eyes sparkling. Billy didn’t miss the flush that crossed over Robin’s face, though he wasn’t entirely sure who it was directed at. He definitely had a guess.

“I’m game!” Tommy piped up, grin wide, anger disappearing from his face. Billy rolled his eyes and snorted, but raised his hand, tongue running over his top teeth.

“Why not,” he said, giving his eyebrows a quirk. “I ain’t no pussy.”

“Of course,” Adam muttered, rolling his eyes. Billy’s eyes snapped over and narrowed. “Isn’t it a little, I dunno, juvenile?”

“Oh come on,” Steve chimed in, munching on the cookie now, relaxing with the change of topic. “Maybe so, but it’s summer, it’s camp, why not, right? Start it off with a bang?” His smile was teasing, bright, and Billy found it hard to look away, hard to deny that smile what it wanted.

The Reverse AU where Steve moves to Hawkins with his father and step family, Claudia and Dustin, and Billy was adopted into the Mayfields

“I’m not--! It’s just midterms! That’s what has me all out of sorts.” He opened his notebook and tried to will his blush away. There was a soft thud and Nancy joined them.

“What has you out of sorts?” She asked.

“Mid--”

“Billy so has a crush on that new guy from New York,” Heather said. Billy made a noise of protest when Nancy smiled, leaning over.

“Oh he’s so cute! Truly impeccable taste you have,” she teased. Billy rested his head on the table.

“I hate both of you so fucking much,” he hissed.

“No you don’t,” they chorused.

“I do, I really do,” Billy replied.

Mermaid AU where Steve and Billy were young friends before being separated.  Steve tries to reunite them obviously

“I can show you a bunch of cool stuff,” Billy said, feeling oddly proud of himself. And well, the ocean was his home. And he never got the chance to really show it off to someone who didn’t already know it. “If I show you the ocean, will you tell me more about humans?” Steve nodded. “Like, why are all the ships girls?”

“Huh,” Steve said, tapping his chin with his finger. “I don’t actually know… Usually I think ‘cause a guy names them. I’ll ask my tutor. He knows everything.” Steve wasn’t a huge fan of Professor Owens, but he was nice enough. He let Steve find things to bring in and ask questions about, he didn’t get mad like Steve’s other tutors had when he had trouble reading. So even though Owens still pushed for Steve to focus more on his future, he was better than the other adults in Steve’s life.

“Tutor?” Billy asked. “What’s that?”

“Like a teacher,” Steve replied. “But like… Different.” In fact, Steve wasn’t totally sure what the difference was. Billy just squinted, looking confused.

“Different… how?”

“Uh, tutors are… are taller,” Steve replied matter of factly. Professor Owens was taller than Ms. Joyce had been, so there wasn’t anything to argue against that. Billy nodded seriously, making a note.

There was a ringing bell and a distant voice calling Steve’s name, making him sigh dramatically. It was already time? Billy’s ears twitched a little and he looked at Steve.

“What’s that?”

“That’s my nanny,” Steve said, mopey and pouting.

“Oh, King Steve thinking about skipping?” Billy tugged him down, making Steve stumble as a fist started rubbing against his scalp and messing up his hair.

“Fuck, dude!” Steve cried, nearly dropping his tray. Billy just cackled, letting him go and shoving his hands in his pockets.

“No,” Nancy said through grit teeth. “He’s thinking about staying and taking--”

“He can’t go around looking like that,” Billy said with faux concern, eyes all worried as he leaned on the table with one hand and used the other to point at Steve’s, now fully messed up, hair. “I think Steve’ll have to take the afternoon, don’t you?” Billy turned to look over his shoulder, not seeing the way Nancy rubbed at her temples as Jonathan very obviously tried not to snicker. Steve almost felt bad. Billy knocked on the table with his knuckles, pushing up with a grin. “Don’t worry, I’ll get him home safely.”

“Get me home--” Steve began, but before he could finish his sentence, Billy was shoving him around and out of the cafeteria. Nancy sighed, shaking her head, giving Steve a look he knew would turn into a talk later. “Sorry guys!” Steve tossed over his shoulder.

Billy with a rat he named Max to piss off Max (he calls her human Max and she hates it)

“And what the fuck are you doing here?!” He asked her. Max, the little trouble maker, just squeaked at him, wriggling in his grip. “No fucking wonder I didn’t see you in Barbie’s house this morning, you decided to be a fucking Houndini, didn’t you.” She squeaked again, tail swirling and dragging along his wrist. He heard footsteps behind him and moved to shove her back into his jacket sleeve when Steve approached.

“You okay-- Oh!” Steve blinked, brows raised as he saw Max reach with her small, cute little pink hands to grab for Billy’s hard nipple again. “So…”

“Cut that out!” Billy hissed, moving her down to cradle her against his stomach. She settled in, but she was definitely hungry and would get restless again quickly. “I didn’t see her this morning but just assumed she was hiding in her little pile.”

“Me too,” Steve said, checking around the hallway for anyone who was late. Luckily, there was no one around to see them trying to hide a rat in Billy’s jacket. “How’d she even get out?”

“I mean, we are keeping her in a Barbie dream house instead of a cage--”

“Really? You’re gonna sass me now? After you insisted that she ‘live like the princess she is’--”

Stranger Than Fiction AU

“Billy, I swear to fucking god if you don’t get out there right now--” Billy stumbled out from the back, head turned to glare at Max, who was pushing him from behind. She pushed until he was at the counter, face to face with Steve. He glared, though his face was flush. Max crossed her arms. “Like we fuckin’ practiced.” Billy shot her another angry glance, but then looked back to Steve. Who was so confused.

“Max may have, uhm, brought it to my attention that I may have overreacted just the tiniest little bit.”

“That’s not at all right,” Max said under her breath. Billy swatted behind him without looking, missing her completely.

“Anyway,” he pressed on, “I just,” he sighed, pushing an errant curl behind his ear. Steve watched the movement before snapping his eyes back to Billy’s. “I don’t often take the chance to be nice, so I got maybe a little offended.” Max scoffed. “Okay a lot offended,” he said with an eye roll. Steve couldn’t help it; he snorted. Billy’s eyebrows shot up and his eyes lit up, like a kid who just learned Santa was real. Steve blushed, looking away, but he couldn’t hide the smile on his face.

“It’s okay,” he replied, turning back to look at Billy. The sun lit up the stray blonde hairs poking out of his messy bun, making a light halo around him. Steve had to catch his breath.

It was like looking at an angel, vengeful and dangerous, but exciting all at once. His eyes seemed to shine, bright and gleeful, but also full of mischief.

“It’s okay,” Steve repeated, feeling his face heat up more. “I would have taken them if I could. They were amazing.” He smiled, nodding towards the stairs. “I should get to it though. Last day and all.” Something sad briefly flickered over Billy’s face, but it was gone as soon as it was there, and Steve thought he must have imagined it.

“Yeah, good luck,” Billy said. Max was smiling, smug, and she punched Billy’s shoulder.

Leverage AU

“Well,” he said slowly, letting the trio shake off their shadows. “The lab closed.” This isn’t about the kid was the underlying message. “But, what’s happening now is that Mayor Kline accepted a lot of weird bribes. They’re from a company called Starcourt Industries. Now, that’s the name of the mall that opened, Starcourt, but what’s weird--”

“--Is that they didn’t exist for very long before suddenly popping up in Indiana,” Alec cut in. “It reads like one of our companies. General background, seems legit, but I did a lot of poking around most of this stuff leads to loose ends. It took a while to get there, so at first glance…” The group nodded. At first glance everything checked out, and even a little digging would provide a general cover that most people wouldn’t think to look past.

Of course, none of them were most people.

“So who are they?” Eliot asked.

“All of the loose ends lead back to Russia,” Alec said. “But nothing concrete or connected, just more companies that do really general stuff. It goes real deep.” The implications there were discomforting. Alec was a genius, and excelled in his line of work, but this kind of grand scale cover up meant one thing: this was bigger than just a few bad apples in a company. This was a plan.

“So who’s the client?” Sophie asked. Nate pulled up a picture of a grumpy looking man, mustache groomed and eyes hard, but kind.

“Chief Jim Hopper.” That got Parker’s attention, bringing her out of the funk she’d been in since the mention of San Diego and Billy.

“Like, Police Chief?”

“Yep,” Nate said, popping the P. “He’s the one who found the kid, found out there was something going on at the lab. Now, he’s positive something weird is going on. Knows he’s done everything he can to legally take the Mayor down, but the man has a lot of friends in high places, and Jim can’t do anything. And that’s,” he smiled, “Where we come in.”

Two short takes on soulmate tropes that have to go first because I love them so much, I love soulmate aus, Tim and Kon are soulmates, the end.

Where There's a Wish by LeeayreBeing Robin’s vessel is hard enough: the exhaustion, the life-threatening late night activities, the bruises and bullet holes and broken bones. Trying to hide all that from his incredibly suspicious, incredibly hot new roommate while maintaining his studies and placating his parents? Tim has never had it so hard. Especially since said roommate doesn’t actually know he’s Superboy.

So the setup for this is unusual, I'm not sure if it's based on anything but: superhero identities are Personas, independent (basically magical) personalities created by the wishes of a person or groups of people who act through hosts that have the will to manifest whatever that persona does. Basically: Robin is an independent persona, Tim shares his body with him and when Robin manifests the costume and all the gadgets appear. It's explained throughout the story, but just in case you start it and are like wtf is happening. This possibly should go in the thirds section because the actual pairings in this are: Robin/Tim, Red Robin/Tim, Tim/Kon, Red Robin/Tim/Kon, Red Robin/Superboy, and Red Robin/Superboy/Tim. Red Robin can also be kind of dubconny so watch out for that if it's a concern.

Wing Beats in Reverse by firefrightJason Todd is the third Robin, not the second, growing up in shadow of Tim Drake's death. Despite this, he still manages to form strong bonds with his new family. Especially Damian, who wishes to atone for his past mistakes with Jason's predecessor. But when he's fifteen, a mysterious red hooded figure kidnaps Jason from the rooftops of Gotham, and after that his life will never be the same again.

A Robin reversal AU (ie Damian is the eldest, Dick the youngest) that's Jason-centric but of course that doesn't lessen the Tim angst. Or the Kon angst when he finds out Tim is alive. Hopeful ending, but it doesn't fix everything.Other pairings: JayRoy, StephCass (barely)

Time Flies by by LaroyenaJon Kent is Superboy. Tim's gut instinct tells him that's wrong.(Timkon fix-it where reboot!Tim misses Kon like a phantom limb. And then he gets him back.)

Sometimes you just need to cry over the lack of Kon in your life and this fic provides the PERFECT excuse. Heartbreaking and then happy. (Also brings Colin back UNLIKE DC.)Other pairings: implied Clex

Not Completely Powerless After All by ChimaeraKittenNobody was quite prepared for the kid who runs the company to visit, but they manage, in fact, they might be pleasantly surprised; they weren't expecting him to be nice. Of course, they weren't expecting him to be a possible ninja either, but you gotta take the good with the bad.

Outsider POV!!! I have never watched Powerless so you definitely don't need to be familiar with it, this is just a glorious casefic told by someone who doesn’t know it’s a case.

Matters of the Heart by DMWith Clark off-world as an ambassador to Earth, Conner has to watch over Metropolis. Though it should be straightforward, there appears to be something amiss with seemingly random crimes happening around the city. Conner has a hunch that they’re connected and calls in his best friend to help. But as the two of them spend time together working the case, Conner realizes that his feelings for Tim might not be what he had thought.

A long casefic with feelings, basically everything I ever want.

And really, it seems like Tim could use the distraction...

Another casefic with older TimKon. I didn't like the initial setup with Tim having abandoned his friends for years but it won me over in the end.

Nowhere But Forward by MishaBerryIt shouldn't have happened the way it did.When Kon finds Tim in Paris, it leads to a night that neither of them will ever forget, for better or for worse. Tim is then forced to confront something he's been denying about himself for a very long time, and Kon begins to question some things about himself. The road ahead is full of twists and turns, but there's nowhere to go but forward.

I really love long fics, but tbh I found this started to drag a little towards the end. I still enjoy it overall with delicious Tim angst.

what would you do with bette Kane in a Batfam age reversal

Hmmm, now this is interesting! I don’t know much about Bette (though I would love to learn more! If anyone has any comic recs, please share. All I know is to avoid the 2011 Batwoman stuff. Fan fic recs are welcome as well), though from what I do know, she could be really fun to have! Here are my thoughts:

She’d come in before Dick becomes Robin, and I don’t really like the idea of her to having a crush on Jason, so I think her main inspiration to take to the streets would be from either the family as a whole, or just Kate.

If it’s the family, she’d be kinda like Tim, fangirling over Batman, Robin, Batgirl, etc. She then becomes Hawkfire (I already have Jon Kent as Flamebird in my au) - maybe keep is as the flamebird costume, it’s so cool! - to attract attention. Bruce tells her to go home, but she’s all ‘you can’t tell me what to do’ Kate sees that and is all ‘a child after my own heart!’ finds out she’s her cousin, and takes Bette under her wing, so to speak. They’re partners who love to mess with Bruce, do their own thing, but also protect Gotham.

If her inspiration is Kate specifically, I think Bette would find out about her identity after being inspired to fight crime by Batwoman, confront Kate about it (in costume), and just gets adopted into the vigilante fold. I'm kinda leaning towards the first though?

From there, she slowly bonds with the rest of the group, joining on patrols, and hanging out when off duty. She remains a partner to Batwoman, but is 100% a fully fledged member of the family. 

She’s still the baby of the family though, at only thirteen (idk how it lines up in the comics, but this just makes sense). It’s not until Barbara Gordan comes along and takes up the mantle of Batgirl that she really has a friend her age. they become the duo of terror to Gotham Rouges. No one wants to be out on the streets when they’re partnered up. No member of the family stands a chance when they’re together for a prank war!

Then comes along a small Dick Grayson. He’s young, so Bette will sometimes get roped into babysitting. Dick is absolutely in awe of her, and follows along like a little duck. Whenever Batman turns his back, Robin is off with Hawkfire and Batgirl! It’s almost as bad as his hero worship of Damian. 

Except Bette absolutely thrives on the attention. First she gets a sort-of sister in the form of Babs, then a little brother who think she’s the best thing since sliced bread? She’s on cloud nine! And so, Dick gets folded in, and the duo becomes a trio of terror. Bette’s happy to not be the baby of the family anymore, and so passes along the crown along with many lessons on how to mess with all the others. Which buttons to push to get what you want, what to say to spark instant annoyance. She claims innocence when questioned.

The three of them also act as each others alibis when one is accused of something. They wouldn’t get away with it, knowing they’re all little chaos gremlins, but the problem is they spend too much time together. its 50/50 whether they’re telling the truth at any given time.

When not with them, Bette is also hanging out with Steph and Cass, who are both amazing and love her. They utilize the similarites between Bette’s and Cass’ last names for several pranks. It got old two years ago, but boy do they persist!

(I just want all the batgirls to get along and ruin Bruce’s life, is that too much to ask?)

I also would like to think she’s close to Damian (I read a fic where they were friends, and really fell in love!). At least in the beginning, he’s all about blood-lines. So meeting someone who is directly related to him, I think would help with his character development. Also, her being a toddler, and left with him at family gatherings would give him a sense of purpose? I’m not sure. I just like the idea of a tiny Bette following him around and Damian acting like “It is my solemn duty as Father’s son to look after his cousin’s prodgony, and so I will do so to the best of my ability”. Y’know, how he takes normal things but does it in his extreme way of his? I just think it’d be cute!

And that’s all I have at the moment! I hope you liked my answer?I love these dynamics, and I’m honestly really tempted to put her in my WIP au, now, but I’m worried I’d get her character wrong.

1. Who is the most affectionate?Stephanie, since Tim still has an ingrained fear of physical contact/intimacy.  While he rarely initiates, he feels comfortable enough around her that he appreciates the constant cuddling.3. Most common argument?Anytime one keep secrets from the other, and over the safety of their kids/how much freedom they should have, since Tim tends to be really strict + (understandably) overprotective with them.

6. What is their favorite feature of their partner’s?Gonna borrow a canon quote from the mainstream comics (Batman 12-Cent Adventure) and say for Steph it’s “his warm, shy laugh” (especially since it’s rare for Timmy Todd) and “clean-smelling hair”.  I imagine the same holds true in reverse for Tim, since Steph’s million-watt smile and fluffy hair are my favorite things about her. ;P *shot* (Normally I’m not one for bubbly blondes, but goshdurnit she’s just too cute. 7. What’s the first thing that changes when they realize they have feelings for the other?

Ahh Steph’s cheerful energy is totally infectious so the more time Tim spends around her the more he starts to smile/crack jokes again.  I pretty much picture her enthusiastically dragging him around to social events to have fun instead of staying cooped up in his room all the time with his computer (much like Ayano and Shintaro with the Culture Festival, although Tim is much more receptive/respectful towards her).

9. Who worries the most?

Tim, definitely.  The anxiety and paranoia never does fully go away, and it often takes a lot of patient coaxing and consoling from Steph to calm him down from a panic attack.11. Who tops?

Who tells their family/friends about their relationship first?Stephanie totally boasts about their relationship the first chance she gets lol.  Tim is much more reserved about it, although everyone could already tell he liked her anyway (Dick and Barb totally tease him relentlessly about it).  …Although no one bothers to directly contact Bruce until the wedding (Tim does send him an invitation, but ofc he doesn’t respond), he still keeps tabs on his son’s affairs from afar, in his secretive Batdad way.20. What do their family/friends think of their relationship?Dick and Barbara are obviously happy for their little bro finding someone who can help him to smile and be more outgoing again.  (Dick might actually secretly be a bit jealous, since watching the two together reminds him a lot of when he and Barbara used to date.)  Stephanie’s mom also approves of Tim, since he’s smart and polite and seems like a “very nice boy” (a marked improvement over other guys her daughter has dated in the past) - even if he seemingly has some… “difficulties” (although she might be able to sympathize with him/offer assistance and advice based on her own experiences battling depression and drug addiction).  He looks to her like the loving mother he never had growing up, although he’s extremely nervous about her finding out his past.  (Eventually they do tell her the truth, and she hugs and dotingly spoils him even more as her own son.)25. One headcanon about this OTP that breaks your heartSteph blames herself for not noticing her husband was being possessed by the Joker (although she sensed something was clearly off), and wasn’t able to prevent RotJ from happening.  Tim of course feels even more guilty about it, but she helps keep him from falling too deep into despair by still accepting him despite it all.
