I’ve always wandered this, was there anything specific that influenced your really unique take on drawing cacos ? the doommonsters caco is so iconic to me, and I love finding out why people drew something a certain way - if there’s any reason at all !

Okay thinking back, I think an awful lot of their personalities were more or less derived from this I drew back in 2010. Caco specifically though?? I just simplified it over the years from this here (and other similar drawings), which was already pretty simplified. I really didn't wanna have to draw all the tedious stuff over and over. Same with the others more or less.

I may be moving back to Tumblr from the trainwreck that Twitter is becoming and I want to try to do more with this blog (now with a clean slate of messages I’ve been holding onto for far too long). Happy ten years to when I started up doommonsters!

I usually think at least some of my art is mid but I appreciate and acknowledge your message. There's actually one person that mentioned me in this post, so I thank them too. For how hard I've worked on this blog I don't think it's very much, and for why I made this blog in the first place were based on a few things:

@doommonsters and @ruubesz-draws mostly inspired and encouraged me. I used to look at doommonsters' art when I was younger and I felt like starting a blog like he did one day. ruubesz-draws reminded me to put effort into my art, I mean look at how he draws Godzilla in such a hard worked and simple way.

I wanted to see iconic Backrooms entities in one room. As an example, Bacteria isn't really seen drawn alongside the other Backrooms entities like Partygoer or whatever.

There's a feeling within me that there's just a little bit of potential in this blog. I know I don't get that many average likes which is okay with me but since every once in awhile I see my tumblr while searching Backrooms things on Google, so I just think that it might be seen by some comic dubber even though it's just one image. Doubtful Cougar macdowall va would find it although.

Well thank you inkdragonn for encouraging me to continue on this blog since I've been slacking off on my vacation. Most importantly however (I don't know how many people view my blog), I tip my hat to you all who have been around looking at my blogs.

So, akin to my previous Freedoom enemy concept the Sangre-La, here’s the Octoshroom!

Basically it spits a horrible blood/lava-type liquid that not only does damage, but also turns whatever tile it lands in into something hazardous. And, in addition, it can basically teleport around anywhere that’s covered in its goop!

Basically, my attempt to translate Splatoon gameplay into a Doom-type enemy, with the red-and-white and mushroom-cap-y elements of the design because Nintendo and the rest because squid.

This species is free to use as you see fit under a CC-BY Vanilla 4.0 License so long as I, Thomas F. Johnson; am credited as their creators. Hope ya dig ‘em! Especially @doommonsters and @debug-fly!

There’s @the-goddamn-doomguy, of course. He’s a great dude, if you’re following me you should definitely follow him too.

@doommonsters is a great account that features monsters from all the games, a really nice account.

@itrunsdoom which, yeah, I guess you shouldn’t need a description by now.

@doomwads features reviews and screenshots of many DOOM wads, ranging from classics to recent releases.

@wadbot is a blog that features automated screenshots and information from the /idgames archive. Sometimes it features some really good WADs and hidden gems.

@nankakurashiki does plenty of DOOM fan art that you might have seen a few times already!

@inmost-dens features DOOM mods that might not be popular enough to make the rounds once they’re announced.

Feel free to drop more suggestions, guys!
