001 - THE GETAWAY CAR - “enchanted!”

THE WEASLEYS’ FLYING CAR LET OUT A distant honk that broke the quiet of the woodland night. It drew your gaze off the several critters that chittered in annoyance as you set your sights on the sudden brightness from the other side of your window.

For two months—two months too long, Harry Potter had given you and everyone else no sign of life. He had yet to reply to any of the mountains of letters you, Ron, and Hermione had sent over the eight weeks that had passed.

That day at King’s Cross Station, he had asked everyone to keep in touch over the summer, that everyone (he not-so-subtly turned specifically to you, Hermione and Ron affirmed upon exchanging a silent gaze) remember to send their owls and exchange letters about everything and nothing at all. And that had been exactly what you did—that was the case for three of you, at least.

At first, golden boy’s silence had been, what you believed, was but a delay of Hedwig’s travel. Godric knows that poor owl would lack nutrition in a madhouse like the Dursleys. But as weeks, and eventually, months went by, all three of you had grown all the more concerned, eventually evoking this ingenious escapade.

“You have got to be joking!” you breathed, jaw slack in awe as you tugged your window open. “Please tell me at least one of you has a clue about what you’re doing. . .”

The redheads simply grinned, exchanging a humorous look between them, as though a joke had been told and you were the only one who lacked its context. Ron was leaning out of the back window of the old turquoise blue car, which was parked in midair.

“Stupid question,” he scoffed in amusement. “We wouldn’t be here if we didn’t, now would we?” His tone was almost incredulous as you stared at the three brothers, eyes blown wide and locks going a shade of bright blue and lilac.

The near-silent squeaks from the top of your head drew everyone’s attention to the little bowtruckle that had climbed from its original place on your shoulder. “Oh, ‘ello Bowie!”

The said creature only chittered angrily. Unlike your puffskein and that troublesome owl, Hermes, Bowie hadn’t been as pleased with the thought of sharing you. Having been present from when you were but a babe wrapped in blankets and to this day, stood in a sweater and trousers before the open windowsill, he has grown in your company and become an extension of you; leaving your side for Hogwarts had not been a choice, as he snuck into your pockets, just as he had every time you left the cottage.

“I was under the impression that we’d be flying there—”

“Exactly what we’re doing—” The twin sat in the driver’s seat (you believed it to be Fred) interjected dumbly.

“I meant on our brooms, you idiots!”

To that, they exchanged a baffled glance. To think they wondered how you’d known about their illegal flying contraption.

“Never you mind,” Ron shook his head, “Now come on! We’re burning moonlight!”

You only gazed at them for a moment more. It was an astonishing, and admittedly impressive sight. Without a thought of self-preservation, you climbed aboard the flying contraption, not a care in the world for the ground that promised great risk fifteen feet below you.

As the car took off and you glanced to where your father stood, waving you goodbye, you couldn’t help but fear that this would be the last you would see such a sight. While you trusted your friends deeply, you hadn’t a clue if your life was truly all that safe in their fumbling hands.

“You wouldn’t happen to have some form of insurance, would you?” you gazed at Ron’s elder twin brothers, who grinned at you from over their shoulders. “And what the bloody hell is that supposed to be, little Miss Mood Ring?”

To that, you could only sigh, gazing down with pursed lips as Bowie moved to hide within your sweater’s pocket.

This was going to be a particularly long night.

Time passed rather quickly for the four Gryffindors, blanketed from Muggle eyes by the car’s invisibility feature.

Meanwhile, at number four, Privet Drive, Harry Potter dreamed he was on show, in a zoo, with a card reading ‘UNDERAGE WIZARD’ attached to his cage. People goggled through the bars at him as he lay, starving and weak, on a bed of straw. He saw Dobby, the house elf from earlier in the crowd, and shouted out, asking for help, but Dobby called, “Harry Potter is safer there, sir!” and vanished. Then, he saw you, effortlessly pretty with your bowtruckle atop your head as always, gliding through the crowd unbothered, clueless of his struggle. He wanted to call out to you, beg for you to save him, when the Dursleys appeared and Dudley rattled the bars of the cage, mocking his pleas.

“Stop it,” Harry muttered as the rattling pounded in his sore head. “Leave me alone. . . cut it out. . . Please. . .” your name spilled his lips as he muttered in his sleep.

Suddenly, he opened his eyes. Moonlight was shining through the bars on his window. And someone—rather, a pair of familiar faces were giggling through the bars at him: a freckle-faced, red-haired, long-nosed someone alongside the very face he had subconsciously conjured and yearned to see again.

Ron Weasley and [Y/N] Black-Lupin were outside Harry’s window.

002 WellM This is our test of faith, my friends. We hate this world, we all hate this world. We hate living in this flesh bag, not knowing our Higher Purpose.

004 WellM But … do we hate it enough? Anyone can say, sure, I hate living in a flesh bag. But then you say to them, "Well, don't, then." And they're scared. They're scared to jump. What if the Pickup Vehicle is not really in orbit? What if there is no Pickup Vehicle?

If we can see further than your sight goes. If we can feel what is just across the river on the other side, on the other plane of existence. Then they will know we're worthy.

024 WellM And what happens if you don't have faith? What if you don't drink the magic potion that takes us to the other plane of existence?

028 WellM There's no punishment, except how you're already being punished. There's no retribution, unless you already feel like you're being retributed. You just won't ascend, you don't Transcend. And sooner or later, but probably sooner, the way things are going, your flesh bag dies.

030 WellM But then you're not worthy, and you don't float up to the Pickup Vehicle. Your fleshbag drags you down. Your doubt drags you down. Makes you heavy. You sink into the Earth you've always clung to. You've clung to it, now you get to have all you can eat. And your soul rots in the Earth.

032 WellM We're going to start handing out the cups now. Don't worry, there's enough for everyone, more than enough. But don't sip it, or you might feel sick for a bit. A little might make you queasy. A full cup, and you won't feel a thing. You'll just wake up in a little while, feeling no pain, feeling no gravity, looking down at the Earth from the Pickup Vehicle. And then you'll get to meet everybody up there.

All of Sally's quests for the Weird Sisters. As you can see, this questline was placed earlier in the original draft than it appears in the finished game. Specifically, you'd be given the butterfly net before finishing "Reservations", meaning butterflies were meant to be an ingredient needed to complete it and you'd have to do "Ex Cathedra" first. They play a bit more with twining quests in and out of each other in Arthur's act (nesting "The English Vice" inside "House of the Inventor" or giving you "Haworth Labs" which can't be accessed until you've done, like, four other prerequisite quests). Sally's quests were apparently edited to be much more linear (excluding "Home Cooking", although that's not twined so much as over-arching).

In this order, the Witches would have told her how to make the mercury amalgam and Harry Cavenish (who according to the filename for the subtitle was originally named Bill Hockney) would only have told her where to find it outside the labs, rather than giving her the formula too as he now does. The lines at the beginning of Crones_1 may have been appended after this change, since a lot of times these subtitle bunches start on 002, not 000.

Ransom McKenzie's ramble was actually supposed to be a sermon with some discussion near the end, but that would have limited the audio design to the church room of the house. It was definitely the better choice to do the audio tape monologue thing instead.

I rather wish they'd have left Sally's lines in about sensing a presence at the Wedding Party stones. Like, it's not conclusive of anything, but it does reinforce that Sally is wise but not wise. Wish they would have left those chants in too, come to that.

Vivienne: A wise woman!

Morgause: Well, let's not go crazy. She doesn't even know her baby's sick.

The reveal that Gwen was sick makes a little more sense this way than it does in the game (as is, Sally just gets a premonition about it after seeing a rat), but that Sally doesn't worry about it until after the quest is complete is a little out of character, but that's why it's not in the final cut.

to ease the burden on our distinguished guests, the owner has opted to select whom you will be rooming with. each villa has more than enough space for up to four guests to be comfortable. when you arrive you will receive your room key and there is a welcome basket waiting for each of you. we do have to inform you that no switches will be allowed to be made, every room has been specifically assigned for one reason or another. we do hope that you enjoy your stay with us here at the wavecrest! these are the roommates for our first event!

Favourite character: Mmmmmmh it’s a tricky, not totally obvious answer this one. Yeah no it’s Scumspawn I like him a lot he’s a very good character.

Least favourite: um Hope maybe, liked the ep she was in but it was a little slap dash

Character I find attractive: hhhhhh this is not really possible with this show

Character I would marry: same as previous none really

Character I would be best friends with: Scumspawn again. He’s literally everyone’s best friend or thinks he is, truly has the mind of golden retriever.

A random thought: I would have like to met some more demon or angel characters

An unpopular opinion: I know that here in our little circle Scumspawn is generally regarded as a big gay demon, but I did once get someone absolutely in a frenzy Quoting the Show at me to say that he wasn’t gay which was hilarious. So it’s unpopular to some people

Canon OTP: Satan/The professor (unrequited 81k words) this is absolutely cringey to write but it is canonical

My non-canon OTP: Scumspawn and whatever monsterboy of the week I feel like. It was fun when Ed drew that Puca bf for him that’s the best one

Most badass character: Satan

Most epic villain: Graham

Pairing I’m not a fan of: Satan and any woman lol

Characters I feel the writers screwed up: Scumspawn’s character gets a bit all over the place sometimes, I think he could have had more “Oh me? No I’m not manipulating anyone I’m not clever enough” whilst manipulating someone moments

Favourite friendship: The prof and Satan

Character I most identify with: Scumspawn 😔

Character I wish I could be: I don’t wish I could be him because he has a terrible time

Pretty Eyed, Private Smile (Jesse/Cooper #001)

Jesse sat at the table, his Mac open and hand lazily moving the mouse next to him as he looked after his Sim characters. He enjoyed playing the Sims. It was a world he could control and play God with. If he wanted Harry Styles to start dating Katy Perry, he could make that happen, he had that power.

He watched as the small version of himself left for work and his attention drew over too little Cooper sleeping in bed. He clicked the character to check his status, he was nearly fully rested, and Jesse decided to leave him in bed for a little while longer.

A reminder popped up in the lower right-hand corner of his laptop. He clicked on it and then began to add his and Rachel’s lunch into his calendar. It was going to be nice to see her again, it had been far too long. Truth be told, he had missed her. She was one of the few people to actually challenge Jesse and if there was one thing Jesse loved, it was a challenge.

He pushed his ‘reading’ glasses up with his finger as he checked his emails, going over the cast notes from last nights run. The show was fast approaching and some of the lesser trained members of the ensemble still keep struggling with Turn it Off. The producer emailed to ask Jesse to work closely with the MD to go over it with them, which he was happy to. Well, not happy but he enjoyed bossing people around. God, he missed directing.

Jesse heard the door click and swing open, he glanced over at his boyfriend walking in, looking as cute as ever. It was his style, smile and charisma that made him fall for Cooper. “You’re done. How was Africa, Elder Price?” He asked with a small smile on his lips. Yes, he was frustrated that he wasn’t the lead, however Cooper did the character justice and he was Marius in Les Mis so he couldn’t have it all… Sadly.
