Its worth noting that you can get the Idaho Drivers manual pamphlet thing at the DMV for free last I checked. The Hamster Revolution is included because I thought it would be a MUCH better book from just seeing the title.

3/3/25: Crosshair x 5

(again, this was not what I was planning for today but I really needed to sketch grumpy Crosshair. So I did. Then I thought "this needs more Crosshair." Then I thought "what if rainbow?")

I forgot to export the image of just the one Crosshair and now I'm in bed so here's a non-rainbow version of the five

What if Dani was like Hantengu from demon slayers when it came to her duplicates?

Like Vlad and Danny have their duplicates that look and act exactly like them of how they want, but what if Dani being a clone (the only surviving clone at that) changes the experience for her?

In fics we're always making the destabilization of the other clones before they can actually have a life a sad thing (bc it is) so what if Dani's clones are the others nestled in her core? Or the emotional imprint of her brothers on her ectoplasm?

What if she pops out a duplicate for the first time and it's one of the Danny exacts that was almost stable but didn't make it and she has an emotional breakdown? This can go so many ways, like the duplicates can have their own personality and finally live lives or you can make it angsty and make it as if she avoids using that power because she can't stand having to see them pop out of existence when she runs out of ectoplasm.

They could work like Danny's duplicates and pop when she runs out of ecto or she loses concentration or they could not need her to concentrate because they have their own personalities and all they need is to feed off of her ecto to stay in one shape.

There's a lot of ways this can go and I just wanted to put this out there in hope of someone writing a fic of this. If you do please put the link or name in the comments please🥺🥺

I think characters 152 and 208 are the same person... very specific shirt for them not to be. are there other duplicates in the competition?

Yeah, I'm fairly certain they are too. Also character 23 is definitely the same person.

I did the submissions blind, so I didn't know if there were any duplicates.

04x37 - Duplicates

Claire moans about having to play the part of a missing young woman in a TV reenactment. June says she'd rather do that than have to stop passers-by to ask if they remember seeing Lisa Vickers getting into a white car two weeks ago. Claire is the closest in age and resemblance. "... and Reg Hollis hasn't got the legs." Claire has heard repeatedly from everyone involved how much she looks like Lisa and it's creeping her out. Her boyfriend, John, reckons it's spooky - looking like her and wearing the clothes she wore.

Jim complains that he knows more about Lisa than he does most of the women he's dated. "When we find her you should ask her out." Mike drawls. Jim isn't so optimistic. She's been missing two weeks so, like Claire, he reckons she's dead. Her cards and bank accounts haven't been used, her passport is at home and everyone spoken to says how happy she was and that she had no known reason to disappear.

Ted is unimpressed to enter CID and find Jim at his desk. He asks if he got his message and Jim is lost until Mike cuts in. "Oh yeah, Jim? Ted wants to see you as soon as you get in."

Claire moans that the skirt she's been given is too long and makes her bum look big. She reckons she looks frumpy. June tells her she looks nothing of the sort. Her mood isn't improved when she sees the shoes. Red high heels! "I'll never walk in them!"

Ted has found a copy of a film that hasn't been released in the UK yet. Someone's knocking out copies and they need to find who. They literally bump into Claire on the way out. "Tasty, very tasty!"

Ted has further to add as he and Jim get outside. "Women who wear red shoes don't wear knickers!"

Tom thinks the television reconstruction using their officers is going over the top. Alec claims that the press got hold of it and have made it into a big thing. "You know, a pretty woman goes missing, a mysterious man in a white car, what are the police doing about it?" "What are the police doing about it?" Tom asks. "Same as usual. Paperwork." Alec admits that Thames Valley thinks that they might have had a similar situation the year before so it could be a serial abductor or killer on their hands.

Ted suspects the man who is knocking out copyright videos is getting them from the States. He's called Barry Churchill and it's only a little operation but it's got the big picture houses up in arms. It's only when Jim takes a bite of his sausage roll and reacts to the heat, that Ted remembers to tell him that it's hot. I wonder if it was Ted/Jim or Tony/Mark there cos they cut away very quickly. 🤣

Uniform arrive at the street for the reconstruction and set up with signs and cones. Alec goes and speaks to the press and lets them know they'll be starting within the next 10 minutes. Dashers has been nominated to give a few words to the camera.

Ted knocks on the last known address for Churchill and asks to speak to Barry Churchill. The man who answers claims he hasn't heard of him and tries to shut the door. Jim spots the mop that he's holding appears to be dripping blood so sticks his foot in the doorway before the man can lock it up and they storm in after getting it open. The man claims they need a warrant but Ted points out they don't when there's blood all over the floor and they look around. Eric Bentley, insists Barry Churchill moved on several weeks ago and sublet the warehouse. He claims his business is 'this and that' before settling on Entertainment. On the floor is a square that has been duct taped with a large smear of blood in the middle of it. "Entertainment. Really?"

A couple of young lads keep asking Pete if they can be on TV. Pete asks why they're not at school and one says they've been to the doctors and they have what's known as the Ferris Bueller Syndrome. "Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once and a while you could miss it."

Mike tells Claire this could be her big break and she could be the new Juliet Bravo as he helps her out the back of the police van. He starts to preen when he hears that the TV people want a few words to camera. "... Claire, is this tie alright? I've got another one in the car...?"

Ted checks over the blood smear and finds a tooth in it. He works out quickly that it's bare-knuckle fighting and that one poor sod took a proper hammering for all of fifty quid. Jim searches the rest of the room and shouts urgently for Ted. He's found the victim who is barely alive. He's been left unconscious for 11 hours. Bentley insists a doctor looked at him and said he'd be fine. "He'll come round, they always do!" Ted tells him he's got him for at least 2 charges and Bently adds a 3rd - attempting to bribe a policeman.

Claire recreates the walk of the missing woman with the press, the public, her colleagues and the woman's parents watching her. The girl's parents marvel at the likeness between Claire and Lisa.

At the same time, Claire's uniform colleagues are asking passersby if they saw anything the day the woman went missing. Unfortunately, no one has seen anything that they're telling the police about.

Jim has found Churchill's new address on a letter that Bentley was due to forward so they go to visit him whilst Uniform takes Bentley to the station and an ambulance collects the battered boxer.

Jim watches as a man, Stapleton, unloads a van outside of a shop. It's Churchill's van and there's a failing to appear against him so Ted asks Mike to join them. Mike refuses as he's currently talking to the press about the missing woman so Ted and Jim move in any way with Ted waiting outside initially in case anyone does a runner. He puts in another call to Mike. "If you're not down here in 2 minutes, I'll hang you up by your O Levels!"

The reconstruction appears to have pulled no leads for the police but there's hope for when it's on the television. Lisa's parents thank Claire and tell her the worst part is not knowing what has happened to Lisa.

Jim tells Ted that there are approximately 3 men in the shop, one is Stapleton, one is Churchill and he thinks there's another in the back. Churchill asks if he can help them. Jim subtly tries to ask about the latest releases then tells him his mate saw the new Eddie Murphy film that has just come out in America the other night and said it was good. Churchill claims it sounds like he got a pirate copy so Jim asks if he got it off him cos he is a member of the club and gives the name Tim Stapleton when asked. Churchill claims not to know him and Jim says it's the man he's sent out the back to make a cup of tea. Churchill realises he's police and they struggle with Ted telling him that he's nicked and handing over the warrant to search. Ted continues into the back and finds men watching illegal releases. When they realise Ted is police they leg it. Mike tries to help but they climb over his car. Luckily Robin is near and he helps to nick him.

Claire tells June that she's pretty sure that Lisa's dead and seeing her parents made it even harder to think that because they were so nice. "Victim's families often are." June says, trying to comfort her. In the station Claire pulls off the shoes with relief, claiming they've threatened her ability to have children. "High heel shoes do that!" "Only if you use them as contraceptives!" June reasons before hurrying her along so they can go watch the news.

Jim asks Ted if he can take the video home and watch it. Ted refuses. "Why, Sarge?" "Because I wanna see it!"

The officers head to the recreation room to watch the news together with the boys making comments like. "It's like 2 cats fighting in a sack!" as they watch Claire walk onscreen in heels.

Jim and Alec tell Pete to shut up before everyone laughs and jeers at the next scene...

Pete gets excited when he appears on the screen. "Oh look, it's me!"

In CID, Mike takes the first call with information. Someone claims they've seen a white Ford GTI in the area at the time of Lisa's disappearance...
