Alpha-17 and Obi-Wan being friends (derogatory) on 17's part and friends (threatening) on Obi-Wan's part is such an underrated dynamic

They could be so funny and terrifying, like Obi-Wan went through a soul shredding experience with Alpha-17 as his only company. They're friends because what else are you gonna be after you witness each other at absolute rock bottom from torture.

It's like 'dog put in cage of cheetah who's threatening to go crazy', except the dog is a grizzly bear and also threatening to go crazy.

Emotional support trooper except the trooper in question has never done any sort of supporting in his life and is actively an emotional distress trooper to a great number of the CC batch.

I want them texting everyday, I want Obi-Wan mailing handmade BFF bracelets to Alpha and Alpha sending pics back of him flipping off the camera but still wearing them, I want Alpha using Obi-Wan to keep track of and occasionally terrorize his cadets, I want 17 ending problems in the GAR (like Krell) before they begin because Obi-Wan has him shipped out on a personal transport at the first opportunity, decked out with slug-throwers Obi-Wan got him for his decant-day.

Natborn officers think this is all just an odd indulgence of General Kenobi, the Vode, however, correctly identify it as a goddamn threat and their danger assessment of Obi-Wan ticks up significantly.

When Alpha arrives on Kamino, Shaak Ti presses a shiny new comm into his hand. It has the Jedi Order symbol painted onto it alongside a smiley face sticker, and it pings immediately with a new message: Hello! I hope you're settling in well!

Alpha stares at the message, stares at the singular contact named 'OWK' and then stares Shaak Ti in the eye as he pitches the comm straight into the ocean. Shaak Ti's serene smile only grows larger as she calmly reaches into her robes and pulls out an identical comm, only this one has a frowny face sticker, and presses it into his hand. It lights up: I'm afraid we've bonded, Alpha :). Alpha shuts it off and pockets it with resignation.

Cody arrives on Alpha-17's personal recommendation.

A-17: He's the most difficult little bastard I have. You're perfect for each other. OWK: Thank you, he's very handsome :3 A-17: No. Stop.

The first thing he asks once he gets comfortable is who his general is texting so much that has him swinging his legs and twirling his hair. Cody assumes it's Anakin, given they seem joint at the hip anyway, but little does he know Obi-Wan's ability to consistently have the Weirdest Relationships Ever.

"Oh, it's Alpha-17, I understand you're familiar with each other?" Hmm. OK. Cody.exe is experiencing a processing error, please hold. He exits the room instead of answering. The next day he peeks over the General's shoulder when he's texting and sees walls of rambling messages from Obi-Wan. Alpha-17 replies every hour with a single text: Lose this number. Obi-Wan giggles. "He's so funny." he says.

When Obi-Wan meets the rest of the CC batch, Cody makes sure to stand perfectly angled so that he can record the reactions when his general cuts off their introductions with "Oh, no need, Alpha-17's told me all about you." It's always immediate FEAR.JPG followed by a slow spiral of What The Fuck.

What do you mean by that General. What does that mean Cody. What do you mean they text. No. Cody. What the fuck is happening, Cody. Alpha-17 doesn't have friends he has enemies and enemies he tolerates enough not to shoot on sight.

OWK: Wolffe reached for his vambrace? when I mentioned you A-17: That's where he keeps his spare knife. OWK: Hm that does explain the way he eyed me up, ambitious. A-17: Clearly not enough, he should have followed through. I taught them better.

he would brush your teeth for you if you let him, buckle your seat belt (no matter who's driving, or would be the seat belt himself if necessary), open every jar, every can with that can opener you always struggle with (if you ever got an automatic can opener he would be SO upset, I can hear the huffy gruff would-be-pout already), he would do so many things for his llubov without even thinking about it but you're just out here,,, doing it yourself? :((( but he's right there :((( why can't he do it?? do you not love him??? let him make the bed with your million pillows exactly where they know you get most comfortable, squished between him and the wall so he can always, always guard their llubov

Bonus points if there's a little learning curve for the reader, who's usually quite independent with taking care of themselves.

Initially it appears as if he's dominant and nurturing, doing little acts of service to express himself to you. But then gradually it becomes more apparent he's seeking your approval and happiness. Every plate of food he places before you at the table, he looks at you quietly. Unblinking. Settling down on his knees to rearrange your cutlery so as to not loom over you. He's not going to his seat until he knows you're happy with him. His eyes glaze over with a sappy soft haze whenever you pet his face and praise him. Feline eyes following you, bristling for approval from his favourite person. It becomes more and more apparent that he's not a dominant person with you- quite the opposite, actually. His attempts at service are clumsy and unpractised, but genuine and eager all the same.

Or maybe a thick arm corded with muscle reaches over you to do up your seatbelt for you- and there's no batting it away. You may lightly squeeze at his bicep, your fingers barely unable to wrap around it as you light-heartedly assure him you're fine, but he'll just look at you apprehensively and frown. Do you not like it when he does this?

His expression pointed and stern, yet flickering with something vulnerable that only you can pinpoint by the crease in his eyes and furrowed brows. Assure him by pressing a kiss to his face and patting his bicep. Thank you honey. Remember your seatbelt too, my love.

No other words are needed for him. He'll nod obediently and get to work on his order, strapping himself in and relaxing back in the seat, assured and content.

Or how you don't even bother attempting to get your toothbrush yourself anymore, knowing he'll grab it before you can and hold it high above your head till you settle down and accept his help. He'll stand there otherwise, blank faced and stubborn as he holds it higher whenever you try to reach for it. No amount of scolding will go through that skull of his when it comes to things like this. Might as well indulge him in his little silent requests. But you insist on doing his skincare, and he grumbles but sees it as fair enough. He enjoys it, really. He's just stubborn.

had a really funny thought about bruce/danny/talia the other day

so older danny gets mixed up in the league for whatever reason, and ends up in a relationship with talia and raises damian with her. he ends up going with damian when he gets sent to bruce and bruce is kind of stunned you know. cause like. surprise son and his surprise stepfather sent for safekeeping by your ex. and eventually danny and bruce get together bc danny is... very compelling. bruce batnip, one could say. of course talia shows back up eventually and it's awkward cause you and your ex are both in love with the same guy. only for the guy to go "well, yall could always share?" and danny & damian end up in split custody between bruce and talia lol

Escaped clone au

You know all those fics where Danny and Damian are twins but everyone first assumes Danny must be a clone? How about an au where Danny is Damian's clone who escaped the League after he was assumed dead. Damian could even have been the one to have "killed" him, back when Danny was a newly created, fully brainwashed clone minion and trying to kill Damian himself.

Danny gets adopted by the Fentons and canon goes on as normal, until Dan. Witnessing what would happen to the world should he turn evil really drove home to Danny how dangerous he is.

Even if he was confident he could be trusted with his absurd amount of power (which he isn't), what if the League of Assassins found out about him? Does he still have programming triggers from his evil assassin clone conditioning?

So, Danny does the responsible thing: he goes to Batman to turn himself in.

Cue Danny showing up on Bruce's doorstep with ghost hunting equipment, intel on the afterlife, and an almost unbelievable backstory. Somehow he still managed to be more well-adjusted than Damian.

Here's how I'm thinking Danny leaving the League went down:

After surviving his wounds but failing his mission, Danny (then an unnamed potential Damian replacement) knew there was no point in returning to the League. As a failure, he was meant to be disposed of. He even thought of simply allowing himself to perish, since that was what the League would do.

But he couldn't help but feel as though that would be a waste of a resource. Surely he could be of more use to the League alive than dead?

That tiny bit of rebellious logic is what caused Danny to go into hiding, only living on based on the off chance he would find opportunities to further the League's goals. Obviously, that mentality didn't last long after being exposed to the real world and meeting one Jazz Fenton.

Being adopted by the Fentons was the best cover Danny could have asked for, since any odd behavior he couldn't hide while he was learning how to be "normal" was totally overshadowed by the sheer bizarre eccentricity of his new parents. He was still the neighborhood weird kid, but even that was a major upgrade from disposable tool, so Danny considered it a win.

So here is the lonely human emperor with no one but his palace staff to keep him company (they never let him leave - in fact, he's fairly certain they're in some massive ass cave?? hello??) Whether or not sy realizes he's in pidw is debatable and I'll let the class decide that

anyway; he's been sending scouts to the outside world and they've come back like. A handful of times

this emperor just wants to know what's out there! He's been here for 20-something years and no one will let him see even a blade of grass that isn't indoors. Let him see the sun!

He has tried to sneak out, of course, but the security here is quite top notch! unless you're, of course, Luo binghe, which leads me to the reason for the bingyuan tag

sy sends out another troop of scouts - a young woman with high cultivation who volunteered for the job, and two wife-beamed soldiers to protect her

Anyway, Supreme birthday gift! His scouts return! The young woman is hanging off the arm of 1 (one) soldier and Shen Yuan goes ah, of course they fell in love 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️ he's quite a handsome fellow! But where's the other guy?

The returned scout approaches and declares he has a message for junshang! He's glad to have finally found him after years of search, this hide and seek game could only last so long

Anyway you know who it is, the one and only Luo Binghe, and he reveals himself (in my head the skin unfolds/is ripped off him by himself of course, but maybe you're thinking of something else) and the palace staff and guards are in a frenzy trying to protect shen yuan who sits on his throne in confusion

something something, we incapacitate all of them (demonic qi flaring? surging? it keeps everyone pinned and in horror because they think theyre gonna witness luo binghe kill their xiao shen), and Luo Binghe strides up to the throne, ready to kill the last of the shens

(Is sj related to sy? debatable, I like to think binghe was just on a shen killing spree. You are shen? you will die.) (Whether or not he'd truly do this is debatable, but suspend your disbelief for a minute)

Then this happens:

I didn't proofread or edit it I'm just going after visuals, moving on,

Luo Binghe wants to hear Shen Yuan plead for mercy. And Shen Yuan isn't one to beg so he tries to accept his oncoming doom with as much dignity as possible for a man who's nipples are out and on display

I actually don't know what happens here, class can decide, in my draft Luo Binghe has a reasonable crash out (read: temper tantrum) and destroys the roof of the palace (causes a cave in) and Shen Yuan, who quite likes his palace staff as they're his only friends and family here (I think he knows all their names but I didn't wanna make any) finally reacts to this and tries to stop him

Caught offguard by sy grabbing his robes and pulling (younger sibling style), lbh and sy are both sent falling back, knocking the throne to the floor and shattering it (I liked to think the back was encrusted with jewels and glass)

aaaand that's all I got^^ class can decide what happens after this thank you

additionally i think its really funny to imagine the beginning of the 3jima dynamic because well obviously saejima's reputation proceeds him. like daigo is certainly aware of who he is and additionally that he also happens to be majimas sworn brother. and of course daigos been working with majima for the past several years and is well beyond aware that the man is a complete lunatic So you can only really imagine how terrified he is of seeing saejima in action particularly around majima because youve gotta be a real sicko to actually sign up for whatever all his problems are. But then he actually meets him and is so taken aback because hes so normal. hes quite possibly the most normal and well adjusted man daigos ever met in his whole stupid career. and so for a brief and fleeting moment he thinks hes found an oasis a sea of hope in this miserable valley of tears And then saejima and majima start talking and daigo goes "Oh wow ok nevermind you two are the most annoying people on planet earth."

I love how over time kid xelqua has become less just baby grian and more grian's kid who he found in the woods/somehow created and now the kid represents all of grian's childhood trauma and Catholic guilt and grian is just trying to break the cycle bc there's this magic fucking baby who is the best thing in the world

JKAGJKD yes Exactly, see evo Grian has a lot of family issues, from being an orphan, to the Watchers, he has ISSUES, so raising a version of himself is..... definitely odd, but weirdly healing.. He sees how he was as a kid, he wasn't that bad, he was just a kid ! He didn't deserve to be abandoned or anything. He sees all of his ache in Xelqua, he's very much breaking the cycle.
