i'm gonna be so honest with you- i do not remember J/acobi enough to form hcs AHDSOJLKF- I stopped a little bit after meeting them and i just- haven't known him enough to really care/form thoughts sdhsjhfsj- (i promise i WILL get back into it and finish it at some point, but now i have tbs and i love it so deeply so w-numbers is gonna have to wait till after 😭)

But! from what i remember (😭😭) about K/epler, here is some bingo under the cut!~ (I do not remember/know a TON so don't consider these super set in stone!!!)

Not a lot of explanation/details for this as most of these are 'gut feeling' hcs after knowing him for only a lil time, but he just doesn't strike me as a 'gets sick a lot' person, more a kinda always a bit sniffly/stuffy, but not actually sick person??

And then dog allergies is the vibe I get from him, though- where he is that's....... not as much of a concern....... though I do think he takes meds to handle a dust allergy (as his is manageable, as opposed to Eiffels which. meds do not help anywhere NEAR enough.)

I also don't get the vibe of a stifler, more someone who just lets it out, not super loud or violent, or dramatic, just pauses, sneezes, excuses themself, and continues~ Puts his whole body into it, though not as much by choice, more like he turns away to be polite, and ends up bending a bit over just through the power (not SUPER loud or anything, just a fairly involved sneeze~)

(though again, all of these COULD change once i know him better!!! this is just knee-jerk reactions~)

you throw your bag down like it's a dead body and start barking: “OH MY GOSH IF I HEAR ‘IT’S JUST MY OPINION’ ONE MORE TIME I’M GONNA LAUNCH MYSELF INTO ONCOMING TRAFFIC.” 

rin freezes mid sip of water like you just spoke in tongues. “wait. who is this demon i brought into my house.” 

you slam your phone on the bed: “I WISH I COULD FIGHT PEOPLE THROUGH TEXT.” 

rin’s like “you need to go outside.” 

after the third time this happens, he stops letting arguments slide. he just starts solving them ON THE SPOT because he knows if you bottle it up again, he’ll have to survive another 30-minute monologue about some guy who “walked with too much confidence for someone with that haircut.”

does not notice your inner rage until he walks in on you kicking a stuffed animal while whisper-screaming “DIEEEE YOU EGOISTIC PUNK.” 

stands there scratching his head like, “uhhh. you good?” 

you start unloading a rant about a barista who said “no problem” instead of “you’re welcome,” and he’s just watching you like a confused cat. 

“so like… do you want me to fight them? or just listen?” 

you start acting out the entire scene with voice impressions like, “‘next!’ no ma’am, how about NEXT time you respect basic customer service etiquette–” 

nagi goes “damn. that’s kinda fire.” 

starts encouraging it. “yeah babe, get mad. do the voice again. the evil barista one. that’s my favorite.” 

fully believes your rants are better than any anime. once got mad when you didn’t go off. “what do you mean you’re calm today? but i made popcorn.”

when you’re being all polite in public, he’s whispering in your ear like “do it. DESTROY THEM. go for the jugular.” 

and you just smile and say, “it’s okay! mistakes happen :)” 

cut to 9:13 PM and you’re in his penthouse pacing like a man possessed. “OH REALLY?? MISTAKES HAPPEN?? THEN LET ME MISTAKE-FULLY THROW A CHAIR AT YOU.” 

reo is wheezing. he’s filming you. adding background music. making edits. 

he even starts giving you imaginary awards like, “ladies and gentlemen… BEST DRAMATIC RANT OF THE YEAR GOES TO–” 

you once threatened to fight a man for wearing flip-flops indoors and reo started crying from laughter. 

wants to get you on reality TV. he thinks your angry alter ego could win a whole season without leaving camp.

absolutely lives for your inner beast. 

in public, you’re all quiet and sweet and he’s like, “she’s such a lil angel 🥰” 

but then later he hears you go “I WILL DIG HIS FUTURE, PRESENT, AND PAST SELF OUT OF EXISTENCE,” and he’s like “NEVERMIND. SHE’S A DEMON.” 

laughs his ass off while you’re slamming cabinet doors. 

you’re like “this is why his hairline is running away from his eyebrows. IDIOT.” 

karasu: “BAAAAABEEE PLEASEEEE 😭😭” 

starts intentionally causing mild public inconveniences just so he can watch the rant later. “oops, i accidentally knocked over her coffee. oops, someone cut in line.” 

this man is sick. he’s got a NOTES APP of your most iconic lines.

absolutely terrified the first time he sees it.

during arguments, you're standing there looking like the human version of an unsalted cracker.

isagi is watching from the couch like it’s a documentary. “so this is what she’s like when the polite filter turns off…”

he flinches. “another thing??? there’s MORE???” 

now he straight up brings popcorn to your post-argument breakdowns. even got a playlist for it: ‘angry girlfriend showtime vol.3’

he thinks you're classy. elegant. above it all. 

like, “oh wow, my girlfriend doesn’t even need to raise her voice, she wins arguments with a look.” 

yeah well. wait until he hears you alone in the kitchen popping off like it’s an unscripted drama.

literally just sits there while you explode, nodding like it’s a business meeting.

but later in bed when you’re calm, he’ll whisper: “you know you scared me a little back there. but… kinda hot.” 

you look at him. “i blacked out. what did i say?” 

“something about mailing someone’s eyebrows to the moon.”

Thinking about how important The Dancing Men was. This was one of the first times Holmes fails his client. It reminds me a lot of A Scandal In Bohemia in the way that Holmes fails his client in each. In A Scandal, Holmes' own bias against women is what causes him to lose. He learns from his loss and overall no harm is done. The King is in no real danger, as Adler even says herself that she has no intention of using the photos as blackmail. Despite Holmes being bested, nobody is harmed. His failure is not detrimental in any way.

In The Dancing Men, Holmes is shown to be very excited about desiphering the messages. He spends two hours just working on the codes. Everything is completly in his control until he gets the final telegram with the final message in it. It literally reads as "Elsie prepare to meet thy God." Holmes desiphers the telegram and "suddenly sprange to his feet with an exclamation of suprise and dismay." He realizes the dangers and is unable to do anything about it as the last train had already departed. He was not fast enough and is forced to stand by and wait. This was mostly out of Holmes' control, as he tried to save Elsie but was unable to.

The fact that she shot herself is also worth noting. Knowing of the danger and being unable to save her from making an attempt on her own life leaves Holmes shattered. Watson writes about his sulking in fair detail. It is so clear that Holmes is absolutely distraught about the turn of events but is unable to properly mope because the case still needs to be solved. He continues solving the case despite his client's horrible medical state.

"This sudden realization of his worst fears left him in a blank melancholy." -Watson

The contrast beween both of these fails are very interesting. The way control of the situation gets ripped from under his feet so quickly is wonderful. He has no time to grieve in his mistake because the case is still going on around him. He is forced to get back to helping his client. In a way, his dedication to solving this case for his client even when she has given up is admirable. Holmes gave her his word that he would solve the case and he does not faulter in that goal even when Elsie gives up.

you see him tear up a little, going "wow, you and ellie wrote all this for me? thank you babygirls, i love being your daddy" and pulls sarah in for a group hug with baby ellie, giving them little kisses and adding "-even when you can be stinky sometimes" and sarah giggles and says "daddy!!" then he reaches out to you sitting on the bed, give you a nice kiss on the lips and saying "thank you baby, i love you" against your lips, and you grab his face to bring it back towards you and you give him a few more smooches, saying "I love you too"

And you, ellie, and sarah all join joel, who of course, being the dad husband that he is, can't resist sharing his father's day breakfast with you, saying "you wanna try some of daddy's pancakes pumpkin?" to sarah, who starts to nod, but you go "baby, mommy made more pancakes for you, let daddy have his breakfast" but of course joel can't help but give his baby a little piece, and giving a little piece to ellie too.

• Yondu would be such an old-fashioned kind of guy. Like I'm sure that Peter taught him some things because Yondu was used to just hooking up with women and yk all that but then he realised he was in love with Kraglin and his first thought was "..well shit."

• If the ships were a trope I'd think they'd be;

• When Quill told Rocket about his crush on Gamora, Rocket laughed straight in his face. Bc obviously that's what he'd probably do but anyways- Rocket was always silently rooting for them like he'd kind of try to set them up on missions and use the "I'm the captain so do as I say" excuse but it was never really that

• Nebula was obviously upset when Gamora died, but during gotg 3 she had feelings for Quill but the fact that he couldn't get over Gamora? It shattered her heart everytime he'd call out to Gamora while asleep or absolutely hammered.

• Mantis had a crush on Nebula since they first met probably at the end of gotg 2 at one point, like Mantis took one look and she might as well have said "WHO IS THIS FINE WOMAN ON THE SHIP?" And her crush just got worse once Nebula joined the team

• Rocket sees the smallest bit of romance in a movie or in real life and instantly just hates on it. Like- Quill and Gamora holding hands? "Get a grip of yourselves we're on a mission." And heaven forbid he catches them doing anything more than that 😭

• Kraglin tried to deny his feelings at first and simply put them to 'best friends' (he was in heavy denial leave him alone.) Because Yondu was so focused on little Quill, Kraglin thought that Yondu only cared because he was his 'right hand man'

• Kraglin regrets ever turning on Yondu, like always. The amount of guilt he carried with him knowing that the last thing he did besides help was turn on him and get his friends killed? Devastating. He still thinks he doesn't deserve the arrow.

personal summary of what might be the most unserious gp i have ever seen aka sao paulo 2024:

(almost needed a whole separate post just for qualis and side note, this sounds a bit like commentary bc i was actually making commentary when watching for my friend)

tldr for qualis; more red flags than an all boys' school, some controversial safety car periods, hamilton out q1, red bulls+sainz out q2, crazy top 5 of norris, russell, tsunoda, ocon and lawson in That Exact Order.

• before the race even STARTED, sainz was starting from the pit lane, albon didn't start the race due to damage from quali, verstappen had a 5 place grid penalty. when you think things are already crazy enough, lance stroll spins out on the formation lap which calls for a second formation lap, and then a third formation lap and aborted start due to lots of confusion (multiple drivers were noted 💀)

• lights out and away we go....and so does the lead apparently bc russell almost immediately grabbed first from norris?? and he held onto that lead like my grandma holds a grudge; for what seemed like aeons. 😭

• verstappen, hamilton, colapinto and gasly were leaping up the ranks like nobody's business, literally blinked and i missed multiple overtakes from them.

• speaking of verstappen, he goes all the way up from p17 to p6 in like less than 15 laps and there was a super nerve wracking train of tsunoda, ocon, leclerc and verstappen that honestly stressed the hell out of me to watch for all those consecutive laps (i left to get an ice cream and when i came back, even the gaps between had barely changed at all)

• ferrari suddenly decides to pit leclerc incredibly early which i still cannot tell if it was a good idea or not because it started raining heavily and soon everyone except a few of the leading pack went into the pit after a virtual safety car period bc hulkenberg spun out (more on him later trust me), which puts us with a seemingly temporary top 3 of OCON, VERSTAPPEN AND GASLY??? in that order too! 🤡

• first red flag because colapinto collided really heavily into the barriers (man i feel bad for him, this is as close to a home race as it gets for him) and i swear nobody is having a worse day than the williams garage.....my genuine thoughts and prayers to that blue unserious team

• AN ACTUAL BLACK FLAG?!!??? to hulkenberg because apparently when he spun out he had marshals push his car back on track which isn't allowed (but i have to say, unless he made the marshals do it when they didn't want to, it's also a bit on them)....williams racing might have a competitor for most depressed garage after this 😭

• penalties!! so many penalties!! bearman picked up a couple of penalties for collisions and so did piastri which they keep until the end and i'm quite sure there were a couple more but i really could NOT keep up oops. (edit: one more thing! i do feel a little bad for piastri bc he had to sort of give a bit of way for norris at the end when they were stacked tgt only for them to not move up positions at all and with the 10s penalty idk how this will end up being.)

• this red flag period was so unbelievably long (i think all in all it was about 30 min?) that i had time to watch them all go into the pits and get out of their cars, then leave and do some laundry, grab a snack and a drink. 😭 and when i returned, 16 drivers had just requested a restart which in turn led the fia to call for a rolling start

• they finally went back to racing, and so many things happened relatively quickly; norris went wide and russell went past norris to p4, bearman got into the barriers but returns to bring up the rear (NOOO MY SON) and sainz crashed rather badly into the barriers and that was ANOTHER safety car period good god! (they said this is his second time in the barriers which, absolutely Foul, but unfortunately not wrong 😭)

• verstappen (who was honestly having a great day so far from p17 to p2) TOOK A PRETTY BIG LEAD which. oh my god we hadn't seen this in like 100 days or something 😭 and norris goes down to p7?? not sure what happened there tbh i was not looking closely oops again.

• there was a crazy back-and-forth battle going in the midfield bc both vcarbs are in front of perez who, in the commentators' words, "are both fighting for his seat" 💀 and hamilton was also chasing perez (and eventually got the last point) so there was just a lot of scrabbling for points i guess?

• also somewhere in there, i didn't keep track because of so many things happening, alonso spun out and ended up at the back of the pack (i also feel bad for him bc he mentioned back pain and bouncing at the end so sorry grandpa) and yet he did not finish dead last? afterwards he was dead set on finishing the race "for the mechanics", in his own words, which i see as an absolute class act in my opinion. hate him or love him, this makes me have huge respect for him.

• ALPINE. alpine oh my god i (and them. and EVERYONE HONESTLY???) can't believe they held onto a double podium all the way to the end wow i think nobody is happier than that garage and team rn like whole house GLADDD 😭 (p.s. my friend, not sure if she'd like to be tagged, said that the french flag and dutch flag at the podium ceremony were "like y-axis and x-axis" which had me losing it)

• honestly the only thing i am rather sad about is tsunoda finishing p8 after starting p3 but if we are being honest, parts of this race were due to circumstances and perhaps a little bit of additional luck but at least he is in the points and goodbye unlucky streak!! plus it's double vcarb points!

[side notes because this is as long as an entire speech; i did the maths and norris would have to be p1 and verstappen p8 in every single grand prix (not counting the sprint) to win by 1 point and if the maths works out that they're both tied in points, verstappen would still win because he has more grand prix wins even if norris wins all remaining 3 gps]

in conclusion, for a race i predicted would finish at 1:30am my time (it started at 11:30pm here) and hopefully i would get more 5 hours of sleep before work, i will be left with just over 3 hours of sleep now and yet i have ZERO REGRETS BECAUSE HOLY FCK THAT WAS A ROLLERCOASTER. absolutely nothing can top this race for me for the entire season and maybe even last season!!

definitely probably missed quite a few things but this is what i can remember off the top of my head or what was most memorable to me and it is 3am here so pls cut me some slack 🙏

avery's on the more reserved side, at least from my point of view, or maybe that's because when i first met them they had a ferminet pfp. they're pretty chill and casual, and can i just say? their writing is very easy to read, it has great flow and i can just lose myself in the fic. like i don't see the words i see what the words are saying, if that makes sense. avery also focuses on platonic writing, although they have been writing some romance with furina!! my personal favorite work of theirs was that fic of arlecchino comforting her crying child because it made me feel so much better about my life at 9 am when i just woke up.
