I don't think you or those other people know how media works though completely. First, Fox isn't a Fox News affiliate. They are no more reactionary or conservative that HBO or CBS or NBC for sports. It's a different part of the company. Second, reactionaries get airtime. It's just how it works. They think it's too boring to have smart calm people only.

Please compare the slate of people CBS hired for CONCACAF - Poppy Miller, Brianna Scurry, Kaylyn Kyle and Janelly Farías to the ones Fox routinely hires - specifically Lalas and Lloyd.

The most controversial of CBS's picks is Kaylyn Kyle and afaik she's primarily just annoying. Meanwhile Fox hires the most flame-war troll commentators they can find.

Yeah Fox Sports isn't directly affiliated with Fox News, but they have the same parent company. And that parent company has decided to invest heavily in outrage content.

The NWSL broadcast rights have recently been bought away from CBS, they're now being split across multiple different platforms and companies. If those companies see people are hugely opposed to Carli Lloyd as a commentator - and will next year be able to just avoid any platform that has her commenting on games - they will be paying attention to that.

Regardless of whether its real or not, people saying that "maybe they didn't know it was aprils fools" is funny to me. No they absolutely know. thats the whole point . its the best and maybe only way to do this whether its true or not.

Like imagine if you WERE in a relationship that had been deeply visible and wildly speculated on for basically all your formative years, with no signs of stopping. You've just got droves of people clamoring about every potential shred of information and following your every move and constantly speculating about this or tying it back to the relationship which might not have been true at certain points but happens to be now. What. Is the best. Funniest way to reveal that information? With max chaos?

Or imagine if you ARENT in that relationship but you know you'll never get peace from people asking you about it or wondering no matter what you do. I've seen some people say some character art downgraded from 1 to 2 and while i agree about some poses not being as dynamic and some of the art being unfinished (early access tho) and the colors not being as dope, and some of the gods feel different

I've been thinking about the differences from 1 to 2, and I think in here, she's presenting herself as the Goddess of Hunting.

she looks a bit menacing, she looks sharp, she looks like she just got here, the angle she's looking at you it's not very direct it's like she's measuring you from head-to-toe kinda way, she also has that greenish light which feels kinda like an aura. she's down to business!

and when we look at her in Hades 2

She looks confident still, and you can see her weapons just as clearly, but her pose, and her smile? she's like, laid back, she's not quite posing to create an impression, she doesn't have that greenish aura, she's there in the flesh, she's not really presenting as a goddess in particular... she looks more welcoming, a bit softer looking... she looks like she's just stopped for a chat, while in 1 it's like she's in the middle of something

and when you stop to think about it? she is. she is just chatting with her friend. Melinoe is her friend, she called her Sister.

We're much more closer to her as Melinoe than we were as Zagreus. bc while she does become friends with him in H1, she's more of a long distance friend. we were building our bond with her in H1.

But here? in H2? she's known Mel for years... she kept it a secret from other gods... she's got those accessories thingies with the 4 colors. not only are we close friends we even got a friend bracelet thing going on with her!! Melinoe is a precious friend to her from what i've seen so far.

Why would she pose and be a bit distant with her friend? we know Artemis is a bit closed off from people, she prefers being in the woods with the animals than other gods i recall her saying that to Zag, but Mel? Mel is a dear friend, she sounds much more casual from the get go with her than with Zag because we have a strong bond with her already

In Hades 1 we just got to know her, so she's more closed off, she is more business like, she is distant, she is The Goddess of Hunting

In Hades 2 she is our friend 💖

the thing about labru vs kabumisu is that both of them have the same core appeal to me, specifically from kabru's side of things: kabru being someone who is constantly agonizing about social rules and putting on the right mask, and meeting this Weird Fucking Guy who does not (cannot) care about all those things, and so kabru slowly allows himself to be more genuine. they're both such good relationships (whether you view them romantically or platonically), why must there be so much hostility between enjoyers of these ships?

Danny had always phrased it like some sort of schoolyard scuffle, or a brawl in a ring. Looking back, Danny managed to gloss over or completely deflect any details that could worry them, but Bruce really thought that it was because his son didn’t want to worry him with any concerning details.

He was really starting to regret that.

Phantom and the ancient clashed like two natural disasters converging, howling and clawing at everything around them as they forgot to put any effort into maintaining their form. Dark clouds blew cold rain down on the barely visible combatants, and it was impossible to distinguish the shriek of the fighting ghosts and the wind. Bruce could hardly find it in himself to react as crumbling stonework rained around him, and Dick pulled him completely off his feet to get him away from the calamity going on in front of him. It was nothing less than apocalyptic. It was beautiful.

(Danny was finally getting the chance to be, maybe not normal, but human with his new home. It was an unbelievably easy transition to get settled in. That should have been his first sign that something would inevitably go wrong.)
