thinking about how characters of disco elysium have their health/appearance compromised by the tough time they grew up in, during and post revolution.
harry du bois couldn't get the polio vaccine that he needs as a child and ended up contracting polio that caused him to have a crooked jaw.
jean vicquemare has pox marks, again probably a cause of lack of medical vaccine at the time of the revolution, causing him to contract small pox as a child.
kim kitsuragi is farsighted and had remarked that he was too small as a kid to even ride an amusement ride. kim probably grew up as an orphan or raised by his grandparents, the lack of resources during his childhood may contribute to his poor eyesight and physique.
evrart claire, the obese union boss also told the player that he has type 2 diabetes due to his poor diet during childhood, a result of the financial situation of his household
its just small details, but its interesting how the background they grew up in has an overlasting effect on these characters as adults

Am I the only one who gets genuinely annoyed, when in fanfictions Satoru and Suguru call each other by their surnames? Like, one of the most important things in their relationship is the fact that they call each other by their first names. It shows how close they are. And they didn't stop calling each other by their names even after Geto committed genocide, which really matters when you look at the complex of their relationship. They were still close in their hearts and minds. So when in fanfictions, where they have "established relationship" they call each other by "Gojo" and "Geto" it's really frustrating for me.

The Struggle of Parting Ways
Tails knew Sonic never cried, it just wasn't him, even if Tails had the chance to witness him tearing up once or twice in his short life, but never cried, his eyes shined sometimes, with emotions more than tears, but they never spell, they well up his eyes and steadily stay there until he blinks them away or they dry of sheer will and stubbornness, that was just his brother, that's how he handled his feelings.
Sonic never cries, and he didn't cry when they sat in silence on the floor in Tails's room, packing up the yellow bag that used to carry their whole life and everything to Sonic's name before they settled in the workshop, tails wasn't going to take it at first, he wanted to grow, he wanted to be his own person, he was taking the cyclone instead of the tornado, he wanted to feel like himself and grow into his full potential without any influence, even Sonic's, especially Sonic's
But the rational part of his brain told him that if anything was going to hold him back it certainly wouldn't be their bag, a piece of worn-out fabric, holding more memories than any other item they have now,
and maybe, just maybe a tiny part of his brain wanted it, wanted to have something of theirs, of sonics, to keep with him for reassurance, it was a childish part, a traitorous one, but his fight over it was weak.
When Sonic showed up at his door holding the bag in his hand and offering to help him pack up before his trip, tails couldn't say no, sonic smiled at him, one of his signature grins almost too natural for the situation,
He didn't cry when he stood in the hangar with a less wide smile but a smile nonetheless still planted in his face, quietly watching tails do the last of many checks on the cyclone and putting away all the things he needed.
There weren't many words to be said, they already had that talk, and soon, the quietness became too much to bear. He was too familiar with Sonic's behavior by now, and could always sense the unsaid words that Sonic struggled to voice or refused to say out loud. However, this time, he felt the weight of the unspoken words in the air around them, and for the first time in a while, he couldn't fill the gaps. He could feel Sonic's gaze on him, and he tried his best not to fidget under the intense scrutiny. When he finally mustered the courage to look up at him again, he found Sonic's arms open and his expression soft. too soft tails almost looked away, He hesitated for a few seconds but soon gave in when Sonic gestured for him to come closer.
Sonic didn't cry as he pulled Tails into the hug, not even when his arms tightened around him too much it was almost painful. He cradled the back of Tails' head with his palm, just like he used to do years ago. sonic remained silent as Tails buried his wet nose in his shoulder and cried, despite his best efforts.
He didn't cry sending him off, tails turned on the engine and nodded when Sonic gave him a thumbs up after checking the way in front of him, all clear.
Tails soared into the sky, he blamed the tears welling up in his eyes on the crisp morning air hitting his face too fast, the fact that his eyes got used to it long ago to tear up went ignored, and the fact that he was wearing his goggles completely forgotten, tails didn't want to look back, not now, not at the start of his own journey, not when he probably looked miserable and childish right now, not when that was exactly what he was trying to grow out of, but he couldn't fight the strong feeling that washed over him, forming a lump in his throat, a tiny voice in his head, sounding suspiciously like his younger self, told him that one last look at his brother won't hurt, one last glance for the road, for good luck, for extra comfort, for the cold nights, he turned.
And he saw him, still standing at the hanger door almost too far to see but Tail's trained eyes didn't miss the small shake in his shoulders, sonic was covering his eyes with his palm and his face was looking down, whether Sonic thought tails was too far away to see him anymore or if he just couldn't hold it any longer tails didn't know, but it was too much to witness.
so he looked back ahead trying and failing to swallow the lump away, he pretended that he didn't see anything and that his eyes were clear and not too blurry to see through, years of practice and the way ahead of him memorized like the back of his paw was the only thing keeping the plane airborne.

One of the things I'll never get over is how cracked up Rin's cram school class is. Just look at who's in that class !
>The litteral SPAWN OF SATAN (who apparently is also the next demon king once daddy bites the dust if we consider the bad future)
>The next Shemhaza
>A double agent/spy for the Illuminati & Order
>The future head of the Myoo Dharani
>A genius strategist
>An ex-almost Illuminati test subject
>A fully fledged exorcist being a spy for Mephisto.
(>and formerly ANOTHER fully fledged exorcist investigating for the Vatican)
(>Their teacher as honorable mention be of him ALSO being the SPAWN OF SATAN , a genius and immune to flames of any kind)
Like- Mephisto put what will probably be the future elite of the Order all into one class and called it a day.
(Which is pretty smart since he makes sure that the future high animals all know eachother and wouldn't have a problem talking to eachother/communicating properly. Also makes sure that they have decent ties to Gehenna's top dog incase Rin decides/has to take the throne)

Just imagine Zoya who already begun understand her feelings to Nikolai, but still denies it. Because he is a king and of course deserves someone better, someone the Ravkians can like, and all that sort of stuff. But one day Zoya and Nikolai just sitting together away from the others. And, you know, his golden hair flutters in the wind, his voice tells her some silly stories about his life as a Shturmhond, his deep blue eyes look in her with such love... And who can blame her if she wants to tell him about her love? So she actually told him about that. But to her credit, she says those fucking three words in Suli. And, of course, he doesn't't understand it. Nikolai knows a lot of languages but not this one, not her native one, and this make Zoya feels a little better. Even if Nikolai asks her a million questions about what she just said and what it's means. She knows that these words was a mistake so thanks the saints that she's not stupid enough to give him understand what she really said to him. She will joke about it, and maybe even be a little aggressive toward him. But she wouldn't tell him the truth.
Just imagine, months later, when they're already together, when they're the King and Queen of Ravka and all of old problems are forgotten, they just have their own time to little conversation. And Nikolai making fun about learning some new words from Suli language. And, of course, after some rude phrases he wants to turn this conversation in some more romantic direction. So he leans closer to her and his questions become more and more personal. Nikolai asking her about how to can tell her that he like her eyes, how say that she's the most beautiful woman he ever met. And more, and more... And Zoya answers to him. She really can't refuse him. She had already realized that, realized that there was nothing she couldn't do when he looking at her like this, as if she was his universe. Therefore, she answers to him, and he repeats all phrases after her, like a good student. But distance between them is getting smaller and smaller. And when his lips practically on her, when Zoya feels his breath, he whispers to her how to say on Suli that he loves her. And she don't expect him to still remember their strange conversation many months ago. But he is. And when the familiar words finally come out of Zoya's mouth he's shocked. He's shocked that she has loved him for so long, since that strange day. He always thought that he is the one, who said "i love you" first, but it was she. A new wave of affection, love and care covers him with his head. And he can do nothing but finally kiss this woman, trying to put all his feelings for her into this action.

This is my messy attempt to offer some clarification regarding this war between NineRose and TenRose, which is causing some strangeness and confusion, especially among Doctor/Rose shippers.
It isn’t weird how all of these people feel comfortable labeling themselves as NineRose enjoyers whilst they blatantly, simultaneously bash TenRose/TentooRose? Even when they show all their true colors and aim the animosity towards Rose, they claim to love NineRose in the end of the day.
Why do these self-titled Rose/TenRose/TentooRose haters feel so comfortable within NineRose fandom, though? It’s almost like they don’t even consider you guys to be Rose fans as well. I wonder why.
Also, another thing I have noticed it’s that the “same ship” discourse is only ever aimed at TenRose stans, only brought up to guilty-trip people who have a clear preference for TenRose and/or TentooRose into loving/supporting NineRose just as equally. Because they are the same, or so you say. But it is seemingly fine for the people who have a preference for NineRose to say shit about TenRose/TentooRose, even claim to be haters... And none of you will bat an eye. The double standard of it all.
I’m not trying to generalize all NineRose fans, nor am I trying to give the fandom a bad name, I ship NineRose myself, but I am not going to pretend that I don’t see a bunch of you guys daily interacting and engaging with blatant anti TenRose/TentooRose content. And finding excuses to dismiss people’s frustrations and criticisms on the nasty, misogynistic remarks of these self-titled NineRose enjoyers towards Rose and her relationship with Ten and Tentoo.
TenRose/TentooRose fans aren’t the ones who initiate and instigate these wars and they’re definitely not the ones who separate NineRose from TenRose/TentooRose. As you can see, NineRose fans are the ones who do that themselves. If anything, TenRose/TentooRose fans have been just trying to make you all see the picture, yet they have been ignored each time because you don’t want to hold your fandom’s actions accountable. Not to say TenRose/TentooRose fans are saints, but they were actually right all along.

Why given among all other romances
In most romcom/ romance mangas, the feelings described are what makes us like the work. But in given, I love how Kizu is showing us that loving each other clearly is not enough. Akihiko and Haruki like each other at the same time, yet their lack of communication lead them to have a big misunderstanding and a sexual tension. If they had had communicated better (and if akihiko wasn't basically drunk and was more aware of what he was doing of course) that wouldn't have happened. The story isn't exactly focusing on why people fall in love with a certain person, nor how do they confess. It focuses on the feelings after realising you are in love and how you deal with the person who also has romantic feelings for you. They can confess, they can go out. But even when you love someone back, you may not have the same idea of a relationship as them. As for Ugetsu and Akihiko, they deeply loved each other and they quickly started dating when they figured they were feeling the same thing. But they missed the opportunity to express clearly what they were looking from each other, in a relationship. That lead them to break up because of Ugetsu's hard love for music.
Love according to Kizu
This is typically what I love in given. They do have the basic musts of a couple that we already know. Kizu doesn't need such a process to show how people fall in love and I believe there's no reason to fall in love irl. You don't love someone because they helped you doing something, they impressed you, they are beautiful... You just love someone for who they are. No one can explain that objectively. That's what I (partly) learnt from given. Kizu just says "see, those two are in love. how are they going to deal with that? are they compatible? will this love help them to become better people?" And she shows us different situations, depending on the personality and on the context of the characters' love for each other.
Shizu and Hiiragi (my favs aaaah)
For example, Shizu and Hiiragi didn't imagine love the same way at all. While Hiiragi had an innocent vision of love with "holding hands" and hanging out together (he read too much cute shojo manga lol), Shizu was dealing with his sexual attraction for him, restricting himself so Hiiragi could enjoy their times together. Though, while restricting so much without saying it properly to Hiiragi who clearly is an egocentric and who thinks everyone thinks the same way as him (i love him i swear he's my fav), Shizu got angry and even thought that Hiiragi was in love with Yuki. Hiiragi and Shizu both love each other from the start but this lack of communication and those different ways to see love makes it so much more difficult to just date suddenly.
Don't get me wrong, I love the process of two characters falling in love like in Kaguya-sama wa kokurasetai, or Fruits Basket but I think that being aware of the other's love for us isn't enough to start dating. Establishing the rules and clear up the misunderstandings before starting to date is important and very interesting to read in a manga.
that's all I don't know how to conclude haha bye <3

Crowley, my dear, are you listening?
Tumblr media
"Even if the mere uttering of these words stretch the limits of your patience, I've always thought of you to be nice. Gentle. Different from the others.
Then why must you unveil such cruelty, Crowley?
Bluntly offering the affection and devotion I've craved from you ever since I bore witness of your creations. Oh, how I wished to be even a speckle of your crafted stars; how I still want to.
Now you press against me.
And I pushed, and pushed, and pushed, waiting for the blazing fire in me to consume my whole corporation and for the fall to come. Such a Fallen I've become, betraying the very sense of morality build up on the pearly gates.
Perhaps falling wouldn't have been such a horror. At least I would've stood by your side. I could've held you, kept your embrace.
But then again, what has simplicity been but a phantom of our history?
So once more I pushed, until your presence and the warmth wrapped all around me slipped from my fingers.
I reckon someday you'll understand the meanings of my leave. Although having been tempted to sins, by you no less, nothing will ever feel as guilty as not letting you know I'm doing this for the sake of you. Of us.
I never meant any harm, even if you'd argue the opposite, though I'd easily give myself into retreat knowing the words that can not be taken back. After all, it's not as if you could've seen the mirror I was looking at.
If you ever wish to see me again, will your eyes be full of disdain? Have I become like any other angel to you?
I've never been one to seek for answers, but shall I get one, may my last wish be that it doesn't break me apart.
Or, on the very least, I beg that my end shall be done by my only love."

sooo I noticed something
There are these obvious parallels between Wednesday and Enid on the one hand and Morticia and Weems on the other hand in terms of being roommates in Ophelia Hall, being captain and co-pilot at the Poe Cup, their general aesthetics (Morticia + Wednesday = dark hair, dark clothes, dark everything / Weems + Enid = blonde hair, bright clothes) etc.
I think these parallels are also emphasized by scenery:
Tumblr media
so at first you would think: there is supposed to be a parallel between Wednesday and Morticia and then Enid could be compared to Weems in some ways
BUT if you think about it and analyze the characters more deeply you could say that in some ways Wednesday has more in common with Weems than with Morticia, whereas Enid has more in common with Morticia than with Weems.
Here are some things I noticed while thinking about this:
#1 their roles at the Poe Cup
This is what initially made me think more closely about the parallels between the four of them: Weems tells Wednesday that the last time Ophelia Hall won the Poe Cup, Morticia Addams captained the team - just like Enid captains the team now. Weems was Morticia’s co-pilot - just like Wednesday is Enid’s co-pilot. This made me wonder: Why didn’t they make the parallels between Wednesday and Morticia more obvious by just having Wednesday be the captain and Enid the co-pilot? The reason for Wednesday being the co-pilot is Yoko not being able to participate in the Poe Cup but instead of making Yoko the original captain and Enid the co-pilot, having Yoko be unable to participate and then making Wednesday the captain and Enid the co-pilot, the writers decided to have it the other way around. Enid now has the position that Morticia used to have and Wednesday has the position that Weems used to have. Which doesn’t put Wednesday in her mother’s position - but in Weems’s position. And Enid in Morticia’s position.
#2 their character traits
Like Wednesday Morticia has a dark aesthetic and is drawn to dark and morbid things. There are obvious parallels. But if you look at their personalities more closely you see a lot of differences. While Wednesday never expresses emotions, doesn’t show any interest in romance and is very aloof in general, Morticia is very likable, very passionate and romantic (in her own unique dark and morbid way of course) and also sentimental and kind of soft. Wednesday doesn’t care about others at all and is a loner whereas Morticia’s love for her husband is unmatched and her family is very important to her. Enid, though not matching the Addams’ aesthetic at all, seems to have more in common with Morticia personality-wise than Wednesday has in common with her mother. Enid is engaging and passionate, enthusiastic and has a high interest in romance. She is also likable and dedicated and emotional, in a way like Morticia. I have always thought, even before Tim Burton’s “Wednesday”, that Morticia Addams could in some ways be described as having a “bright” personality as opposed to her dark appearance. She draws others in, she’s devoted and dedicated, happy and positive. Enid is like that too while Wednesday is completely different. Morticia herself talks about Wednesday’s and her opposing dispositions when talking to Wednesday about her psychic abilities - Morticia's disposition being positive (which causes her visions to be more positive and which makes her a Dove) while Wednesday’s disposition being darker on the other hand (which causes her visions to be more potent and powerful and which makes her a Raven). I think it is very obvious that Enid’s disposition is positive too, just like Morticia’s.
And then there’s Weems. Obviously, Weems and Wednesday don’t have the exact same personality. On the outside, Weems is always nice and friendly, she’s polite and civil. But there is also a different side to her. She doesn’t show it to others but she does have a rather dark and angry side that she is hiding. She is very bitter about her past and seems to hold on to a lot of jealousy towards Morticia. She can also get very angry and harsh. And she is serious, unlike Morticia, who is soft and angelic. Because of her bitterness and her seriousness and the fact that she hides these negative feelings from others (when she confesses to Thornhill that her own Rave’N was only disappointing she then quickly changes the topic and doesn’t want the conversation to get more personal) and especially the throwing-a-yearbook-page-into-the-fire-scene with that evil and hateful expression on her face, I would describe her disposition as rather dark as well. Weems is nice and a good person but she is not light-hearted and carefree, there is a certain severeness to her. Therefore a dark disposition - just like Wednesday. And when you think about it, she is a loner, too. She is surrounded by people but no one is even remotely close to her - just like Wednesday.
#3 their lives at Nevermore
Enid is very passionate about Nevermore and the whole school spirit thing, participates in a lot of school activities, is captain of the Ophelia Hall team at the Poe Cup etc. Morticia was like that too. She was captain of the fencing team, Queen of the Dark Prom and President of the Séance Society (what a legend) and Wednesday says that Nevermore “was the perfect school” for her mother. Just like Nevermore is the perfect school for Enid! Both Enid and Morticia are popular and successful and show a high level of identification with the school.
By the end of the first season Wednesday seems to enjoy being at Nevermore. But she did NOT (and I like that fact and love that the writers did it that way) and will probably never follow her mother’s footsteps. Wednesday has no interest in networking and being popular and taking part in group activities. And while it is nice that she found people she cares about (mostly Enid and Eugene), she will not be like her captain-and-queen-and-president-of-everything mother and prefers to be an outsider, even at a school for outsiders.
I think it is very likely that Weems was an outsider when she was a student at Nevermore too, just like Wednesday. We know that she was always jealous of Morticia because Morticia was popular. When Morticia says that they had good times at Nevermore, Weems basically says “speak for yourself”, implying that her time at Nevermore wasn’t that great, and at the Rave’N she tells Thornhill that all she remembers about her own Rave’N is “disappointment”. The negative feelings she has about her time as a student at Nevermore go as far as to RIP OUT a page of her old yearbook and dramatically throw it into the fire. So like Wednesday she probably didn’t take part in many school acitivities that she was excited about, she wasn’t very popular and maybe even an outsider. I think this is a parallel between Wednesday and Weems - though, of course, Wednesday WANTS it that way while Weems was and still is bitter about it...
#4 Wednesday and Weems being in Morticia’s shadow
There is this huge parallel between Wednesday and Weems about being in Morticia’s shadow and trying to find their own path without Morticia’s ‘legacy’ overshadowing their every move. Wednesday says multiple times that she has no interest in following in Morticia’s footsteps because she couldn’t live up to the expectations based on her mother's legacy anyway. Just like Weems could never compete with Morticia. I especially noticed one scene where Wednesday expresses very strongly that she doesn’t want to be compared to her mother all the time and that she has the need to be her own person. In this scene Weems compares Wednesday to Morticia and when Wednesday tells her that she and her mother are two different people, Weems seems to think about Wednesday’s words for a moment. I don’t know whether I interpret too much into this but I think that Weems’s face shows that she realizes that she is very familiar with the need to be “independent” from Morticia Addams. She knows very well how it is to be in Morticia’s shadow and I think it is in that moment that she realizes that Wednesday feels the same way about Morticia as she does. It was not easy for Weems and it is not easy for Wednesday to be “linked” to Morticia’s legacy at Nevermore because she was perfect - she was popular, well-liked, happy, successful, dedicated and beautiful. So in a way, Wednesday’s experience at Nevermore is similar to Weems’s experience: always being in Morticia’s shadow. And I think that’s what Weems realizes:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Also, Wednesday tells her mother: “I’m not you, mother. I will never fall in love or be a housewife or have a family.” So... she’ll be like Weems then? She’ll choose a whole different path than her mother just like Weems chose a whole different path than Morticia did.
To sum it all up: there is a lot to unpack. Which makes the show so great. And I think about the Wednesday-Weems and Morticia-Enid parallels constantly.

Harumi and Fuyumi outfits! all these are for future references for the fanfiction! I've mentioned each meaning and context behind each one, but if you're interested so much, I'll explain in further details in under the cut!
S.O.G and Hunted
Princesses ;
very obvious! they're in their princess outfits, matching in almost everything! the only difference is that Harumi has flower petals pattern on her cloak (that I DIDNT draw), while Fuyumi has snowflakes pattern on her cloak (that I didn't draw either)
Civilians ;
Harumi has her casual fit, the jacket and the pants, while Fuyumi kept on most of her royal robes on to honor her family legacy, Harumi is annoyed because she was planning on Fuyumi dying along the emperor and empress but.. she didn't,
Harumi has makeup on and golden earrings, while Fuyumi has nothing on her face (girl lost her parents c'mon)
The Quiet One and The Prisoner ;
while they were living in the bounty, instead of crashing the ship AND also getting rid of Fuyumi, Harumi planted a chip of the piece they found in Zane in fuyumi's bed and later on Fuyumi was framed was sent to prison, she wears orange for most of the story,
Meanwhile Harumi revealed herself and the story goes almost all to canon, they go to the commissioner and get Fuyumi out and tell her everything, she's traumatized
FUN FACT ACTUALLY did you know that blue and orange are on the complete opposite side of the color wheel... I love foreshadowing
Crystalized ;
Kabuki Mask and The Empress
These are my favorite ones! Harumi has her current disguise as Kabuki Mask, covering her face because of her identity, while Fuyumi changed her hair color back to it's original color, blonde instead of platinum so she's not associated with Harumi anymore, and wears a Hanfu veil mask to cover her face because she's ashamed of her looks
Fuyumi kept the green robes because it reminded her of the empress, after literally losing everything she sorta feels numb now and doesn't even bother wiping her ruined face now :(
In another word the two are covering their faces now, whether it's because they secretly remember each other just from looking at a reflection ORRR because they need to is up to you *shrugs*

listen, has no one ever thought about hijacked!effie?
like, think with me: during the rebellion, effie gets taken in by the capitol (among other capitolites, of course — such as peeta and katniss' stylist team; mainly those who had connections with the rebels) due to her "association" with the mockingjay, haymitch, peeta, all that jazz.
so, she gets the usual capitol treatment; especially, she gets electroshock torture (which leaves her with a lot of aftermaths, both physical and mental, that i'll get in a hot minute), but, in the end, she doesn't know shit about it, no one let her into things, although she had her suspicions that something was happening. she only wasn't sure what it was.
once they realise that she hasn't got anything, they don't kill her, — not like they did with portia, really, though that one was into the rebellion alongside cinna — deciding that she could have a better use. the reason why they hijack her is fairly simple: they wanted to use her as an experiment, before hijacking peeta. since her relationship with haymitch and the overall rebels is well-known, they messed her memories with them up (so, yeah, hijacked!effie wouldn't be so fond of anyone in the rebellion, as her vision of them was altered and all).
when the experiment succeded, they followed and did the same with peeta.
eventually, comes that operation, effie's taken along with the victors. she gets in district thirteen, absolutely wild lmao. woman was managing to put up a bigger fight than johanna, they've had to sedate her lol.
haymitch just gets to see her after sometime. when he does, however, effie's looking like an absolute wreck: she's all yellow flesh and bone, truly, skinnier and thinner than he's ever seen her (and that's quite saying something), sunken cheekbones, bruised all over, ribcages so prodruting through her skin it seemed they would pierce her. the mainly thing was: her right eye was bloodshot. that white part was utterly scarlet.
"hey, sweetheart," he goes to her, threading so very softly — he had been there, you know, when they got her to the medical center in thirteen with the others; he'd seen how— erratic, for the lack of a better word, she behaved when the doctors did so much as try and touch her — as he walked towards her. he's not quite sure what to say to her, in honesty. "you alright?" he manages, eventually.
she's quiet. unusually so. he knows they didn't do so much as to turn her into an avox — of that, he's very aware, you know — and still, her silence is eerie at best, and uncanny at worst. it worries him to a certain degree, really, because effie could never spend three fucking minutes without saying a single word, but she's been through a lot. in the end, he's concerned, yeah, though he's somewhat unsurprised by that; couldn't have the woman be tortured with electroshock on a daily basis and expect her to come back the same, could he?
he bends down a little bit, enough to get closer to her face. his thumb hovers beneath her eye, and he doesn't touch immediately. she remains in silence, still, even as he approximates; he can see how her gaze follows his every move, how her eyes go along with his movements. there is something in her watch, something he hasn't really seen before. now, he vaguely recognizes it as the same thing he saw in peeta's (that particularly dangerous glint) when the boy saw katniss, but he brushes it aside.
there shouldn't be any reason for them to do the same thing with effie, he supposes. there's certainly no reason, too, for him to be dwelling about that right now. so, he changes his concentration to the subject at hand, his head crooking to the side. he's no doctor, by any means, whatever the fuck they did to her eye, it clearly ain't right. "the fuck happened to it, sweetheart?" he asks, already expecting her to, before answering the question at all, scolding her for his lack of manners; yet, the scold never comes. his eyebrows knit in worry.
he observes her, taking every detail he possibly can. her hair, which he supposed must have been always so silken (supposed, because he's scarcely seen her natural hair at all; he's had the chance to just once or twice), looked like a fucking rat's nest with how knotted it was; her eyebags were purple and reddened, her skin pale, and he could see all the curves of her veins, fine as rabbit's hair. her nose seemed to be crooked, and there were bruises at the sides of his face. he sighed, speaking at last, "can you talk?"
finally, his thumb touches the skin beneath her eye. it's saggy, almost grainy when he does. well, he didn't think there was moisturiser to apply in the cells, anyway. things succeed all too quickly, then — one minute, she's sat in the bed with that thin hospital gown and a horrible posture; the other, she's taking off the IV drip from her vein, taking off the needle and somehow launching towards him, aiming for his neck — specifically, his jugular.
he feels the cold glide of the needle for an instant, on the verge of truly piercing through the vein, before he can react; his fingers wrap around her wrists. it's not a hard task, not with how weak her body inevitably is, not with how frail she seems (and he hates to attribute such words to effie; for as long as he has known her, at least seventeen years, she has never been one to be described as frail, not in physical nor psychological way). she's rather quick, though. he'll give her that.

I think it is time for me to elaborate on my GETO IS AN INFJ theory.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(more under the cut)
Starting of with what is INFJ?
For people who somehow don't know, INFJ is a personality type according to the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI). All of the personality types consist of four letters that mean in sequence: introversion(I)/extraversion(E), sensing(S)/intuition(N), thinking(T)/feeling(F), judging(J)/perceiving(P).
INFJ is a short for Introverted Intuitive Feeling Judging.
People who are INFJ are described as quiet, with strong morals and believes that they are able to fight for. They are guided by principles, and human value is one of the priorities (which, in Geto's case, can be interpreted in two ways - non-sorceres, before he turned evil, and his friends that he wanted to protect, after committing mass murder).
INFJs balance on the border between the humanistic and the strict mind, they have an artistic soul and an analytical mind and they tend to demand a lot from themselves. They may show signs of excessive perfectionism and put more into a task than others expect of them.
Don't tell me it doesn't sound like Geto.
And I'm NOT taking that "he became an INTJ after committing genocide" bullshit. INTJ is more logical, analyzing than INFJ who is, after all, a FEELER so they focus more on their feelings than logical thoughts.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Taking the easiest way and deciding to kill all the non-sorcerers is not logical and Geto knows it (we can see it during his conversation with Shoko when she tells him that he's being childish. He knows no one will understand him and he doesn't expect them to). He's aware that he's doing wrong but he does what his FEELINGS tell him to do.
And now, the most convincing part: satosugu.
Satoru is a 100% ENTP. He walks like an ENTP, he talks like an ENTP, he IS an ENTP.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Even if we look at the memes the "INFJ x ENTP" suit the most for satosugu dynamics. LOOK IT UP.
I'm standing with my INFJ Geto theory 'till the day I die.

You literally make no sense and sound stupid as fuck. Jonsa saving dark Dany? Shut up.
Hi, anon! I thought I've scared away all the aegonys before but it seems not.
Jonsa will save Dark Dany in a way that Dany will be made more sympathetic to the eyes of the readers. It won't be like in the show where she's just reduced to a delusional pyro tyrant with no saving grace. Let's think about what jonsa means in relation to a dead Dany. What are the results in the end? Wouldn't it look like Jon and the Starks conspired to kill the poor Dragon Queen after using her armies and dragons? Jon, the "filthy" betrayer even gets to marry the love of his life by getting rid of the woman in the way of that marriage!!! How very convenient for him. It makes Dany a victim. It would seem like the Starks got all the benefits(if we disregard all the sacrifices to get there.)
I'm just saying jonsa will be one of the reasons for Dany's turn and she wouldn't be totally wrong about her suspicions. It doesn't make it okay to torch the people of KL but still, wouldn't you say jonsa is a hateful reason enough? So there you have it, jonsa is the justification Dany stans can use to excuse Dany's actions. You're welcome. I mean, Jon and Sansa are already blamed but let's make them official and more hateful in the books.🤭🤭

~AOEX CHAPTER 149 SPOILER UNDER CUT~
Tumblr media
SO- in this chapter we not only got the backstory of Oscealo, but also that of Lewin ! Seems like our favorite boy was raised in a demon worshipping cult.
And by the looks of it, he wasn't exactly being treated well either.
Tumblr media
This chapter also brings up a very interesting question. Considering the now revealed backstory of our favorite demon lover, is his fascination a natural trait like we assumed or is it a learnt behaviour ? He obviously has huge talent even as a child, so maybe it could be a mix of both ?
Either way, you all know who this backstory reminds me off ? Who else has a backstory consiting of being raised in a cult or cult-like space and getting abused in some way ? While also probably getting a special stance on demons teached to them in some way ?
Arthur.
While not having been raised in a litteral cult, I think we can all agree that the Uzais DEFFINETLY had some cult vibes.
They don't seem too loving either, but instead of physical abuse and starvation to me it seems like he got some heavy manipulation and maybe even emotional abuse.
I mean- everyone who was the interactions between the Uzais and Arthur know that something is going on there. They purposfully lie about his past and are obviously using him for something.
Both Lewin and Arthur were (atleast for a good chunk of thier life) in an unloving enviorment. While Lewin could have been teached to love demons, Arthur was taught to hate them. Both them had something extraordinary as a child. Both were abused or borderline abused in some way. While Lewin's was physical, Arthur's was mental.
