i know the idea of the split head tail thing has been done to death but this was more of an experiment in technique than it was in pursuit of an interesting final product.

a little scuffed in places but mostly fine, as far as my secret cc hair attempts have gone anyway.

Travis Hackett was not a Hackett at least that's what his ma always tells him. He never was one. Not like his brothers or his other relatives. He was just a thing, broken from the start. Something that his ma had to take care of. Travis was marked as a failure before he was even born.

Travis is fine with physical pain, doesn't bother him much. But nothing cuts into him like his mother's words. She's gotten very precise through the years and knows exactly where to cut him to really make him bleed.

He was depressed, Travis knew that. He was also anxious all the time with a feeling of dread constantly following behind him.

That is until a newcomer moves in and completely flips his world upside down, right side up and then shakes it around to really makes sure its thoroughly scrambled.

Fun game for Pride Month:

When you're at a event, count how many people with mobility aids there are. If it seens low, think about why that might be. Count how many disabled bathrooms. Count how many unavoidable steps. Try and find one accessibility issue at the event and afterwards contact the organisers to ask them to fix it.

Many disabled queer people are left out of the Pride month celebrations due to accessibility issues, so if you're able to be there, you're already in a position to make it better.

Don't forget your disabled siblings this Pride!

Keeper -- a short comic about an angel meeting a robotic lighthouse keeper that doesn't know the world has already ended. Made in about 18 hours for a 24-hour 24-page* black and white comic challenge (that I arrived late to, ha.)

*the actual submission does not include the cover, which was created after the fact for this post.

This was a really great learning experience as someone who's... never really made a completed comic. I ended up really attached to the story by the end of the project (possibly due to all-nighter deliriousness lol) and ultimately am very proud of what I made.There are some things I'd still like to change, particularly text placement, but in keeping with the spirit of the challenge I've elected to leave it as is.
