1. They are, this is just the first time you're seeing it. I'm not nitpicking phrasing, it's important not to frame things like this because it adds to the overall feeling of isolation and helplessness. There are *always* groups of people who are talking about and fighting whatever injustice you just learned about. Don't silence them further by saying they don't exist. If you learn about an injustice you didn't previously know about, do some research to find the groups that *are* talking about it and boost them. It's okay to not know about something. There's way too much in the world to keep up with! But don't assume just because you didn't see it that no one is doing the work.

2. Decide why you're posting or reblogging something. Personally, I'm trying to only post/reblog about current events and injustice if there's a specific call-to-action. If the call-to-action is awareness, I prefer it to be awareness of an organization to get involved with who will provide calls-to-action. Awareness on its own doesn't do much. It's like a protest where the only goal is to march down a main street with a permit. It's not a *bad* thing to do, and is important if only in catharsis and assuaging a feeling of isolation, but it's not the same as a protest with a specific goal through a specific disruptive action

Why are we hating the AHFH festival format now? Seen that post going around. It is like criticism of everything Louis does lately. AFHF is now not a festival or WAOYF music video is not a video. Nothing Louis does lately make you happy? Why stay in fandom only to bitch about every single thing Louis does and tell him that you think you know better and that he should do it like you want and imagine him to do it. Louis chose BMG independent label to be independed not like Columbia doing 1D promo 

I don’t know what to tell you anon other than that some of us still possess the ability to think for ourselves and the mental acumen to recognize that the marketing and promotion for Louis’ projects is not being handled correctly

you wanna applaud his team’s mediocre (this is me being generous) efforts? good for you, you go right ahead… but there will always exist those of us who just want (and think that he deserves) a lot better for him

that being said, there’s always ways to curate your online experience so that you see only the rosy, rainbows and butterflies content, maybe try to do that if reality based topics bother you to the point where you have to send the same anon message to multiple accounts

Being on Tumblr during the Larry phenomenon but not as a One Direction fan was wild. Half of them reading secret codes from Modest Management slowdown .gifs of hand signals body language Experts ™️ finding their addresses while the other half tried to saving them from the Bad Gay by writing 10K long essay posts about the male human condition sending death threats to fellow 14 year olds and i’m just here like.
