November 21, 2018 || Week 8

I had two midterms this week on Monday and Tuesday for criminal psych and development, but now I get to go home for a few days for Thanksgiving Break! I’m really thankful to have the opportunity to go to school and have really supportive parents on top of that. I was also selected as an ambassador for @active-minds so I’m really excited to start working on that!!

You don’t have to be a one person crusader & you don’t always have to comprehend but what you should be is kind, thoughtful, considerate, be compassionate & think. ⠀ ⠀ When it comes to homelessness you can’t help everyone it really is impossible but you can help one person. Living in Whitby & working in Robin Hood’s Bay we are not faced with the plight, misery & desperation of homelessness. Being here in Edinburgh it is all too real that not everyone has the luxury of a roof over their heads, a warm meal or drink, a comfy bed or someone to talk to. It breaks our hearts to walk past so many people that in this day and age it is daily life for, but what we did do was give a small amount of change, we helped one person just a little. You can too. ⠀ ⠀ Two topics that quite possibly go hand in hand together Homelessness & Mental Health.
