Since the RWS and early TVS depict coaches as sentient, even the faceless ones, are the coaches, including Emily's coaches, sentient in this universe? If so, what are their names and personalities and what do they think of one another (for example, what do Emily's coaches think of Annie and Clarabelle?)?

Yes, a majority of the coaches are sentient, non-faceless coaches are more common on the narrow gauges railways like with Skarloey, Rheneas, Sir Handel/Falcon, Andreas (a few being faceless like with the miniature gauge lines there’s still some with faces along with trucks but it’s not as common as other gauges)

As for Emily’s coaches, they are sentient and have their own personalities and names (I’m torn between Elodie, Elliot, and Elwyn or Morgan, Martha and Martin/Marvin for their names) they get along swell with Annie and Clarabel plus the other coaches though two of them, (I’m not sure which names cause I’m still thinking but it was the guy and the girl of the group) had a bit of negative attitude towards the other coaches, thinking of themselves as superior and were quite a terrible influence, I’ve based it off a fanfiction I’ve on DA where it was during Emily’s HiT era persona and it rubs off of them though I’m changing it a lot)

Over all they along quite splendidly like with Dexter the mobile school coach despite him being an oddball (sure it’s the classic case of them thinking he’s strange but have come around to accept it) I’ve even made some coaches oc for certain characters as well (names are still a WiP though pfft-)

I discovered a paper doll set by Tom Tierney that I had never seen before - FALCON CREST Paper Dolls created as a gift for attendees of a paper doll convention in (I assume) Napa Valley California. The set features paper dolls of Lana Turner, Celeste Holm, Gina Lolabrigida, Jane Wyman, Lorenzo Lamas, and Robert Foxworthy.

The images are annoyingly watermarked but I sharped the focus so you can better see Tierney s artwork.

“When Deanna asked me if I could come up with a set of souvenir paper dolls for this convention that would honor the Napa Valley's wine industry, I was a bit puzzled as to just what to do. First, a history of the industry would involve a lot of priests whose costumes are rather limited and who would all be male...not too promising a prospect for a paper doll set to my way of thinking. Finally I hit on the idea of a set of paper dolls based on some of the stars of the old TV series, "Falcon Crest." Since most paper doll fans love celebrity dolls, I decided to do a few of the stars who appeared in the nine year long night time soap opera set in the vineyards of California. This is a gift to the attendees of this paper doll convention and will not be for sale anywhere else, thus there should be no legal complications...all other rights for the use of this art remain with me, the artist!”

Source. More mentions of Jane of Oxford in the Artemis zine. This one also includes Jenny Falconer as a separate individual. Of course, I have no real idea what to make of any of it. This sonnet is also featured in the Sun Daughter Press reprint of Enter Amelia Bingham, but credited to one Miss Jane Anstruther.

a/n: this is a drabble for my completed series, What Once Was!!! I am so happy to revisit these characters, even just for a few moments <3 This is my entry for Week 2 of the slumber party challenge!!

Lizze dipped her feet in the cool water of the river. The sun was rising in the East, and fluffy clouds floated gently through the sky. After three months of living in Wakanda, LIzze had found her favorite thing to do. It started as an early morning walk that got earlier and earlier, exploring the many trails through Wakanda’s beautiful terrain.

Eventually, it morphed into this. Leaving so early that the stars were still out and making the trek to the river, where she’d stand on the bank and watch the sun emerge from her slumber. The first time she’d left, Bucky freaked out about her going missing, so now she was careful to leave notes.

It was her favorite thing, feeling the sand between her toes, the water on her skin. She loved watching the birds and the fish. There was so much life there, in Wakanda. So much love.

She heard their footsteps swishing through the grass before she heard their voices.

“Come on, lovebug, I know you’re tired, but it’s gonna be worth it.” Lizzie didn’t need to turn around to know that Bucky had dragged Fiona out of bed to make the hike to the river for the sunset. Fiona had done it before, but never this groggily.

“Are we there yet?” Fiona practically whined, and Lizzie could perfectly picture the way her daughter probably rubbed her eyes and stomped her feet.

“Just about,” Lizzie answered as the sun started to peek out on the horizon. A moment later, Bucky and Fiona were at her side, feet in the water.

“Good morning,” Bucky whispered, pressing a kiss to Lizzie’s temple. He wrapped an arm around her waist, and she melted into this embrace. The hardest part about this morning ritual was leaving Bucky’s arms. He was like her own personal furnace. It was getting increasingly more difficult to extract herself from his warmth in the mornings.

The three of them watched the sun paint the sky with beautiful, bright colors. Ones that she was sure didn’t exist anywhere else. Stood between her parents and leaned against their legs. Lizzie’s fingers combed through her daughter’s hair, and she couldn’t help but feel content.

This was where she was meant to be. Here, in Wakanda, with her family. This was the peace she and Bucky had been searching their whole lives for. Everything before this moment felt like a dream. It felt like another reality.

“I love you,” she whispered into Bucky’s chest.

“I love you more,” he replied, lips moving against her hairline.

“I love you most.”

-> Personally: She is a total sweetheart, loud mouth doesn’t always know when to show up, kind and understanding, has patience, a bit flirty and free. Respectful, if your a man or woman who served the country you best believe she will salute you and even call the person by their rank if you like. She can be a wildcard at times but she’s very much a homebody at heart. Most importantly family oriented! The Wilson family loves family and their huge cookouts

- Alyssa from a young age looked up to her big brother and sister, wanting to be just like them! So she did, joining them on their adventure around town and becoming a bit of a fighter. Sam wanted to make sure both of his sister knew how to throw a punch or two, hell even hold a gun to someone’s face properly! As much as Alyssa liked to fight, she was a kind soul at heart and a baker. Making the best breakfasts and such who can find in the neighborhood.

- So in result she took those skills to become a Chef for the military kitchens, knowing the good men and woman who served this country deserved a good home cooked style meal whenever they can. Her dream job was and will always to actually start a Bed & Breakfast though! This skill as a chef for more than 5 years or less taught her the skills to be kind, patient and more caring than ever but her time was up. And she moved on, soon after Sam stepped into becoming a fellow veteran of this country (later on The Falcon ofc).

- She spend some time in Washington DC 2014 and moved back home to Delacroix, Louisiana, where their family operated a fishing business run by Sarah. Alyssa and Sarah grew closer together over the years, she helped raise the family business and deal with her two nephews. Until one day, Sam called her in wanting to give the opportunity to join SHIELD. She was hesitant about the idea but did so anyway.

- She was very hesitant to take a part-time job at SHIELD knowing what she might or might not like being there. But Sam encouraged her to try it out and so she did! Turned out Alyssa enjoyed becoming near The Avengers and other Agents of SHIELD very much, feeling like a home within this community. Now she’s training to work assistant trainer at SHIELD keeping all the files in check for the rookies, cooking meals for every Avenger and agent, and going on missions whenever possible.

-> Personality: A bit of a punk. She’s a slow learner but can be very lazy, smart in her own way, she’s fast and quiet like a mouse, kind and gentle.

- She grew up in Star City but with her mother’s work life being hectic and off the rails she moved around a lot and eventually landed in Washington DC where she stay there for most of her life. She was a bit of a punk kid but still very feminine and girly in many ways. A sweet gentle girl to be honest as her glasses always slipped off her face sometimes. She was slow but very smart within certain area, Stephenie is very quick with a computer fast fingers to type away!

- Stephenie grew up loving tech and comfortable life behind a desktop computer in general, staying inside. So she wasn’t much of an outdoorsy person however she loved the park and dressing up, but mainly stayed at home in her sweats coding and creating stuff hands on. However that got her in trouble with the authorities as she tried hacking into plenty of school systems changing all the grades and exposing the teachers behind them for their lies with her friends at the time, she was considered fine but her boyfriend ended up in prison.

- Realizing the concern and upsetting results of her ways, she decided she wanted to do something more good but not end up in jail for it. Changing her dark brown almost black hair into a dirty Barbie blonde, wearing contact lenses instead of her glasses, removing some her piercings and her switching her dark clothes into more lighter shades. Hell the Stephenie started even using her middle name, June instead. She is applied to SHIELD ACADEMY to become a junior technician and make a few friends.

- Soon enough people discovered who she was related to siblings wise, but not even she knew about her sister’s full involvement still had a strong existence in SHIELD or the future of The Avengers. Can you blame her? They lived across the country and in different cities so they never crossed paths too much. However stayed very close with calls and weekends getaways!
