Anyway, I can’t find the post where this idea first appeared so I’m not trying to take credit. Basically the person said something like “I think it’d be funny if when the chain was together Wild could still just eat food to recover. So he’s bleeding out and they all are freaking out but then he just starts shoveling 15 apples down his throat and all his injuries start closing up and everything and the chain just looks at him like he gained three heads.”

So I thought a mini scenario would be funny. So they’re all fighting a hoard of monsters, and Wild has a bunch of cuts and bruises and whatnot but he’s still fighting. All of a sudden Twilight is about to get impaled so Wild jumps in front of him (self sacrificing idiot lol). He goes down bleeding out profusely as Twilight screams and cries thinking he’s about to die on him.

“Nonononono! You can’t die on me!!”

“Twi-“

“Shhh! Y-you’ll be ok! Don’t use your energy. It-it’s fine! I have a potion!”

Twilight dumps his whole pack on the ground and grabs a red potion. He uncorks it and tries to give it to Wild, but he pushes it away.

“Don’t…need…”

Twilight is absolutely panicking thinking Wild is slipping mentally.

“Wild, you have to! It’s the only solution. I don’t have a fairy!”

Hyrule has also seen what’s going on and has sprinted over to try and heal him but Wild grips his hands and tries pushing them away too.

“St-“ coughs up blood “Stop Hyrule…slate…”

Twilight and Hyrule are looking at each other through their tears, confused.

“Wild, we have a red potion right here. You don’t need your slate.”

“Y-yes…I do!” Knowing they won’t just give it he says “Have…fairy!”

Which isn’t a lie. He does, he just doesn’t plan on using it. So finally Twilight reaches for Wild’s slate and hands it to him. Wild swipes quickly through his slate and just keeps clicking on apples with one hand while shoving them down his throat with the other hand. During this process everyone has come over and all are crying thinking he’s gonna die soon. After like 10 apples they start seeing changes: his cuts and bruises are fading and his huge stab wound is closing. After another 10 he’s completely healed. After he finishes they all look at him like “WHAT THE HECK JUST HAPPENED?!” There’s still one monsters left that they neglected for Wild and so he gets up, kills it like normal, and walks back over to everyone, who are all still just staring at where he just was laying on the ground bleeding out, frozen in place.

“Uh…guys…? I’m over here…hello…? I killed the last monster by the way.” Wild tries to get their attention but they won’t move an inch. Eventually he gives up and goes to start dinner. He makes everything like normal but at the end he says with a smirk, “Alright, so I’ll take it that y’all want a whole jar of Goron spice too?”

That snaps everyone out of their stupor and they all jump up and scream a “Nooo!” Unanimously.

The end.

Though they definitely have questions at dinner.😂

There was a moment when the jacuzzi jet stream hit Link’s sore muscles just the right way that he let out a sigh and sank deeper into the warm bathtub. Suds covered his mouth, and he blew them away with a small huff and ran his hands through his scraggly hair.

It was his first night actually at the hotel in… gods, it had to be a week. Night shoots and hours of being on set had left him exhausted, sleeping in his trailer, staying at friend’s rooms who were closer to the studio where they filmed The Twilight Realm, a popular television show that he was the male lead in.

If it weren’t a safety hazard, he’d have fallen asleep right in this bathtub.

Still, he couldn’t escape. His mind wasn’t blissfully empty; it was filled with pages after pages of memorized lines from his script. His ears still rang with the explosions from their pyro work on an exploding bridge today. His eyes burned from exhaustion and smoke and lights.

And still, tomorrow, he had a charity gala to attend.

A long yawn escaped him, and he grabbed the bath pillow and a glass of wine from the closed toilet seat and leaned back, trying to de-stress.

But it was a little difficult when that charity gala would be attended by none other than the Princess Zelda of Hyrule herself.

With a rueful look at his wine, he set the glass by the sink, tossed the pillow out of reach, and forced himself up, watching the water spiral down the drain almost hypnotically.

Only when it was all gone did he towel off, and throw himself onto the bed, passing out before he could even pull the comforter up.

The next thing he heard was a voice.

“Link, let’s go you’re going to be— OH! Link! What?”

His eyes creeped open at the familiar shriek of his best friend and cast mate, Midna. She flipped her red hair over her shoulder and pulled a pillow from under his head, letting him fall with a thud, before firmly setting the pillow on his lower waist. “I didn’t need to see this.”

“What? What’s even happening?”

“Do you know how late you are?” Midna chided, grabbing one of his suits off the hanger. “Get dressed.”

Finally, his eyes blinked open and he saw Midna leaving the room in a shimmering black gown.

A black gown.

The gala.

“Shit!” Link hissed, tossing the pillow off of him. There was a draft, and he chuckled seeing that in his exhaustion, he’d forgotten to put anything on. “Sorry, Mid!”

“Yeah, not like I haven’t seen your dumb ass before on set!”

Link slid a pair of sweatpants on so he could cross the room to return to the bathroom. Midna was pounding on his couch on her phone.

“Well,” Link scoffed. “It’s less embarrassing when I’m wearing a modesty sock, so I’m still sorry.”

“Accepted,” she sighed wearily.

Midna and Link had gone on one date before realizing their chemistry was solely on set and as friends, and since the popularity of the The Twilight Realm blew up to extreme proportions in season 2, he was so grateful to have Midna with him every step of the way. Even now, while filming season 4, the level of fame he had was still so wild to him. Grocery shopping in peace was a thing of the past and it was all online orders and deliveries if he wanted to have a day without feeling the flash of a camera in his eyes.

Link cleaned his face in the sink a bit haphazardly, leaving red marks everywhere before sighing at his reflection. Baggy circles under his eyes, tousled hair. He looked a wreck. But still, he brushed his teeth and returned to his room, dutifully donning the pressed suit and expertly knotting his tie before combing his hair out. In the limo would be their stylists to fix their hair and makeup before the red carpet, so he left it as it was.

“Look okay?” Link asked, coming out of his room with his arms wide to show his outfit off.

“Yes, sure, you look great. Come on, Beedle texted. They’re waiting outside.”

“Alright,” he muttered, fixing his cuffs as he grabbed his things back off the table. Nothing was ever put away. Nothing ever had to be. It wasn’t like he’d stay here long before needing to go to a new filming location anyway.

Flashing lights, bulbs so bright his vision became tinged with blinding stars blocking out his vision.

He was used to this. It was hardly his first red carpet, and with his hand firmly against the skin of Midna’s back, he felt grounded, despite his lagging tiredness and barely functioning mind.

Face slack so he wouldn’t strain his jaw from smiling, he posed as perfectly as he’d been taught. His hair flipped in the way that had the internet swooning. He tilted his head in the way that won him “Sexiest Man in Hyrule” two years in a row.

He played yet another part of his to absolute perfection.

Little did they know that the famous actor struggled with back pain, crowds, and—thanks to the list of his ‘accolades’— several self-conscious body image issues.

At the table, food was served, and he politely excused himself when he’d finished the two vegetable portions from the food that was on his approved diet plan for his role on The Twilight Realm, and instead took his checkbook around, dropping checks off to a few people that he and his financial adviser had already written out in advance.

It was all so… normal.

When the plates were cleared away, he grabbed a merlot off a passing tray and skulked to the corner.

“Did you eat enough to drink that?” Midna asked, leaning beside him.

Link shrugged and took another sip. He had, but he certainly couldn’t wait to go back to the hotel and order something he actually could eat.

“See the Princess?” he asked, watching the blonde Princess Zelda of Hyrule daintily savoring a glass from her table, surrounded by armed guards and looking about as miserable as he felt.

“I do see her. No photography allowed in here,”she muttered, watching Zelda set her glass down to stand and wander, trailed by her guards. “How the facades fall when the public stops watching.”

“They’re always watching,” he scoffed, looking around to see a set of eyes of a gossiping group watching him and Midna as they conversed. Anxiously, he took a swig of the remainder of his drink and set it down, already looking for another.

The need to drop his mask for just a moment overwhelmed him, and he gave Midna a kiss on the cheek. “I need air. You okay if I ditch for a bit?”

“Oh, of course. Go! I have mingling to do anyway!”

“Thanks. You’re the best.”

“Tell me something I don’t already know.”

He winked before undoing the buttons on his tux and heading into the hallway. Security nodded at him as he passed, and he carefully moved past another set of suits who stood at the door to the terrace.

It was surprisingly empty. He expected it to be filled with any guests needing an escape or air, but he paid it no mind, preferring the quiet solitude he was so often denied as opposed to idle chatter.

With a relieved sigh, he threw himself down onto one of the outdoor sofas near a maintained firepit and groaned, closing his eyes in relief.

“Oh!”

“Shit!” he hissed, sitting up with a speed that would have called for a stunt double. Especially when his leg knocked against the flames of the fire, warming him with a far-too-close call, but nothing else. He swore before hopping away, brushing at his pant leg, looking up to see the last person he expected.

Princess Zelda of Hyrule.

His eyes bugged out. He’d just sworn and nearly fell into a fire in front of the princess.

Idiot.

Bowing low, he tried to shake off his nerves. “Princess!”

And then he saw her. Princess Zelda of Hyrule was watching him with a surprised look on her face from just behind a pillar where she leaned out against a railing. Her gown was long, the train was gorgeous. The embellishments alone cost more than Link’s paycheck, and he was well-paid. Long blonde hair cascaded down her back, still neatly styled with pins in an effortless look that had probably taken an hour. And her eyes; verdant greens alight with curiosity had him rapt immediately. The cameras really did lie: she was far more gorgeous up close and in person, and she was already beautiful on tv.

“I-I’m sorry, I thought I was alone out here,” he managed, rising from his bow just enough to catch the hint of a smile touch her lips before it disappeared almost naturally.

“How did you get past my bodyguards?”

“Your…?” he looked behind him, confused. “I…”

“Nevermind, it’s okay.” Her brows peaked. “Oh! You’re Link Faron! Wow! Um, hello! It’s nice to meet you.”

Shaking his head, it was almost unfathomable that the princess knew who he was. Not unreasonable, given the show’s popularity, but it was hard to wrap his head around. “No, the pleasure is all mine, Princess.”

“The Twilight Realm is one of my favorite shows. I’m… just a little star-struck.”

“Is it?”

“Yes, that, Into the Wild and—”

She cut herself off, her face flushing a bright red as she covered her mouth with a delicate hand, attempting covertness but failing.

“And?”

Her eyes glistened as she turned her head towards him, watching his deliberate steps. She'd already outed herself as a fan of not only him, but two shows when he'd showed everything off. His own face was red as he waited.

"The Bodyguard."

He bit his lip as he tried not to chuckle. A more serious role... where he'd fallen in love with the Princess he was protecting. A limited series with more sex scenes than the four seasons of Into the Wild combined.

"Our Princess has a type of show, it seems."

"And you have a type of role. It's not my fault you're a good actor."

He snorted, leaning beside her. "They don't hire me for my skill. They hire me for my ass."

"Well, who can blame them on that front at least," she muttered.

And then, eyes bugged once again, she clasped her hand over her mouth.

Link beamed at her, embarrassment and humor sending him onto a high. "Oh?"

"You'd think years of practice would afford me some grace, but I've simply fallen apart in the mere presence of you," Zelda laughed anxiously. "My apologies for that comment. It was crass and simply slipped from my tongue before I could stop myself!"

Link ran a hand through his hair and focused on her shoulder. A fine spattering of freckles caught his eye for far longer than he'd intended it to before it drifted to the strap that thinly drew more attention. And it was red. A pop of color that matched her lips, which he was dying in his attempts to avoid looking. "It's okay. I'm quite comfortable with the topic at this point. It's the modesty sock conversations that will still make me blush."

Zelda's brow scrunched, and he regretted his words immediately. Gods, had he just brought that up to the Princess?

And then, it got worse.

"A what? Socks?"

He licked dry lips. "Oh, just... it's... it's kind of like a sock that you use... to... well... it's...  it's not a sock. But you use it for... modesty." He glanced at her confusion and tugged on his bowtie to loosen it. "You put it on during sex scenes and nude scenes."

Zelda's eyes, for the third time, widened. "Oh! Oh, gods, I didn't know!"

"Did you just think we wandered around bare-assed, hanging out?"

"Yes!" she laughed, running her hands through her hair. "I always just thought you were  very confident in yourself."

"Hardly!"

"Really?" she asked skeptically. "With the way you look?"

"Would you strut around set with nothing on, Princess? For one as gorgeous as yourself, it would surely be easy."

Gods and godesses, why would he put that image in his mind. Why would he say that to a royal? What creature was possessing him?

"Mr. Faron--"

"Link."

"Link," she smirked, "You're far more amusing than you let on in pictures and interviews."

"Far more nervous, Princess. When I've imagined speaking to you, it was never about my full frontal nudity clause."

"Please, Zelda is fine. We've reached a level of personal conversation, at this point, that I believe you're allowed my first name. And for that matter, you think of me often?"

He let himself relax a bit. There was a comfort in knowing that the Princess of Hyrule was willing to flirt with him, even knowing what a wreck he was. He was able to pull from his stores of acting skills to play it cool, leaning against the railing a bit, stretching out. Reveling in her eyes taking a spin along him. It gave him a moment to swallow his nerves.

"Who hasn't thought of the Princess?"

"And who hasn't thought of Link Faron?"

"You?"

Zelda scoffed. "Oh, please! We've already accidentally established that you're my celebrity crush. How much more obvious could I get?"

"For what it's worth, Zelda, you've always been mine." He relished her name on his tongue, and couldn't stop himself from letting his knuckles graze against her skin as he pushed a piece of golden hair behind her ear, letting his hand linger and touch for far too long.

"I'm sorry," he said, stepping away. "I've taken up your private time with far too much self indulgence. I'll let you go."

"Wait!" she said, grabbing his hand. "I'm enjoying your presence, unlike all the donation seekers in there. Stay."

"Is that a command?"

For a moment, she considered, and a wry smile worked over her face as she watched him already inching back towards her. "Yes."

"Then how am I to disobey?"

Link hadn't even had time to register the light through his window when Midna threw herself onto him, whacking his arm excitedly.

He sprung up, looking around frantically. "What?!"

"You dog!"

"What?"

"Gods, you sleep in too often! Get up!"

He barely blinked in time to see her ponytail bobbing on her head, her sweatpants and sweatshirt hanging loosely over her. Exactly the opposite of the glamor she donned the night before.

Link grumbled, rolling out of bed in his boxers, rubbing at his eyes as he followed her to see what the fuss was about so he could roll back into bed.

"--and the Princess were seen getting extremely close last night. In exclusive footage, we can see 'The Twilight Realm' actor putting his skills to work on our future monarch, seducing her as much as she seemed to entrance him. Was it wine? Or do we have a new royal wedding to look forward to?"

The clip of him and Princess Zelda by the fire, him pushing her hair behind her hair, them laughing, even later in the evening when she'd grabbed his hand and he hadn't pulled away, and later when they'd moved to sit closer to the firepit and he'd given her his jacket. All of it aired.

"Oh, shit. They didn't get..."

He trailed off as the next clip was Zelda's tender goodbye kiss on his cheek hours later.

"Shit."

Midna watched him sit down, numb. "Link, can you call your girlfriend?"

His phone rang on cue. His agent.

Link toyed with the phone, his eyes on the screen watching the clip replay of her kiss. He could still feel the phantom tenderness of her lips on his cheek, hear the ring of her laugh, the lines of her discontentment on her forehead as they talked about their interests, their lives.

And he realized that, regardless of what he was about to hear, he regretted none of it.

What are your top 5 fav manga or anime? Why you love them?

omg see I'm kinda bad to ask for this one because I didn't get into anime or manga until my late teens when I watched Death Note (due to no regular TV and very strict rules around what I was allowed to read/watch growing up). I'm also really picky about it, and usually don't finish the series if they don't grab me pretty immediately or if I lose interest in them! So I'm gonna have to include ones I haven't fully finished just to round out this list, but:

Death Note - obviously! And I'm forever yelling at everybody to read the manga, because though I also was first introduced to it via the anime and think there are TONS of things to love about the anime it just has to be experienced in its original format to get the most out of it writing/art-wise, imo

Beastars - ngl I thought this series seemed really cringe when I just watched the first episode of the anime, like Zootopia meets Twilight, and the cheap-looking cgi animation kinda turned me off of it too. But once I switched over to the manga instead I was really charmed by the art style and by how clearly years of love and thought had been poured into this world and the characters by the mangaka, and how strange and dark and complicated the social dynamics of it all were. Finished the whole manga a couple years back, definitely recommend, particularly for the later parts where it moves past just being a high school drama/romance kinda thing

Yuri! on Ice - maybe the only other anime I ever fully finished watching, now that I think of it? Not perfect, but extremely cute and charming, and I loved Yuri as a character a lot

One Punch Man - I didn't watch past the first season, but this show made me lol constantly, and I loved Saitama so much (he has a lil bit of L energy at times). It also got surprisingly feelsy at times, like with Mumen Rider's part!

Mob Psycho 100 - another one I fell off watching whilst waiting for season 2, but I think it's so good and has extremely likable characters and a fun little world to explore (I am just THE LAZIEST about watching shows, so me stopping watching it doesn't mean anything much). It's a bit sweeter and also angstier than OPM, but for some reason I have fonder memories of watching OPM, so that's why it's ranked below it here

Some Bonus Ones I Like but Haven't Finished Enough of Yet to Feel Comfortable Ranking:

Naoki Urasawa's Monster - Very good! Very grim. Very realistic and tense. I am reading the manga rather than watching the anime, and I think it's definitely one I'd recommend if you really like the heavy themes and moral conundrums and crime thriller genre and whatnot that DN incorporates (though it's much less goofy than DN, which is maybe why I have a harder time finishing it... my appetite for goofy/depressing media is tremendous, but my appetite for solemn/depressing media just isn't very big)

Neon Genesis Evangelion - I watched about 1/3 of the anime and read the first 3 volumes of the manga! Really enjoying the manga, but have to wait to make more money before I can pay to read the rest hahaha. Idk how to explain that it kind of gives me David Lynch vibes?? Similarly weirdly dreamy and dark feelings to it. I love Shinji so much too. Idk it's definitely not a feel-good time, but I think it will be one of my top 5 faves after I finally get through the whole thing

I think my brain threw Jamie Spaghetti against the wall to see what would stick when it came to my dream last night because I was finally able to finish Will yesterday (was moved to tears, btw; I can't remember the last time a show impacted me like that) and then spent a subsquent hour and a half scrolling your blog because I was having Emotions about Marlowe.

As far as the dream itself I found myself in a room similar to a room from my high school with a figure that would switch between Vecna, Henry, and Kit (for some reason) surrounded by one of those summoning circles from the show Kit found himself messing with made of salt. The shifting figure and I sat on vine thrones (which I know for a fact was inspired by your For the Witches fic that I also read yesterday) guarded by the Volturi from Twilight...

As I said, Jamie Spaghetti, but I figured you would find humor in this.

I LOVE WILL SO MUCH. the acting, the costumes, the music, the cinematography, ugh. 10/10. and obviously Jamie as Kit ripped my heart out in the best way. what a performance. I want to hold Kit Marlowe and never let go, I can fix him.

but wow, yeah just a lil bit of everything from Jamie there in that dream! 😂 your brain made Jamie soup, mmm delicious.

4. Where do you find inspiration for new ideas?

Literally everywhere. Some are inspired by real life, celebrities as well as my own, me going "What if...", and if I'm being perfectly honest, a lot of them have also come from people sending me asks (for example the entire Infection Verse / A&E fic universe situation is all from various asks I've been sent.) On a Friday is from a TikTok I saw of Matty doing his little whimper moan thing, and the top comment was "Bro sounds like he's in heat," which amused me to no end.

16. How many fic ideas are you nurturing right now? Share one of them?

Too many 💀 The next chaptered one that is closest to being posted though is the Vampire AU. I am VERY excited about this one (as a millennial I very much grew up obsessed with Twilight) and I'm so excited for everyone to meet Vampire!Fictional!Matty and Vampire!Fictional!George after I finally finish the Christmas fic. (If anyone has any title suggestions though please send them my way omg)

Here is a very small snippet from the Equestrian AU (I know, I know probably not the one that anyone was hoping for, but alas it is the one you are getting 👀) The guilt grew, he hadn’t meant for Matthew to get hurt, the words had left his mouth before he had even processed them. He had just wanted Jamie to see that hiring Matthew was a bad idea. He was a problem, a liability. When he got back to the barn, Mars was in the cross ties, standing patiently as Ross tended to him. Ross looked over at George, his expression grim. They could both hear Matthew throwing up in the bathroom.

hey, i would love to hear your thoughts about edward and ocd!!! honestly i don't know if i've ever seen that elaborated on before, would love to hear more!

Omg okay thank you so much for asking!!!! Dumped a load of thoughts over private messages this morning so I'll drop those with a couple of edits if I have better clarity now lmao

Okay yes so,,,,,,, to start. What do we know about Edward? He grew up in a time that was pretty repressed. He also died quite young without a great deal of experiences under his belt. As a vampire he hears everybody's thoughts all the time. He has a very strong sense of right and wrong. Etc etc

So like we understand he is ace like; he never shows sexual interest in anyone other than Bella, he KNOWS what sexual attraction looks like in people's thoughts, and he really knows that he doesn't have that. Maybe he even goes through all those phases of thinking he's weird, thinking he's better than everyone, not caring at all, idk he has a century for identity crisis really. Love that for him. I hc that he pretty much understands his feelings on it by the time of the book even though he may not necessarily identify as "asexual" per se, if asked if he was that he'd probably say yes

And I am convinced he has OCD. I've got another post about this that I can try to find and reblog again where we've discussed Twilight & neurodiversity which I really love. So obviously everyone gets thoughts in their brain that are uncomfortable and the disorder part of OCD comes from when you can't shake them, you become obsessive over them (source: me and the research I have done on my own mental illness thank you). As a vampire who doesn't want to kill humans, you frequently get unpleasant intrusive thoughts about killing humans. As a vampire who can read other vampire's minds it's even worse. The way Edward sees himself as inherently evil because of his "vampire instincts" is SO familiar to me as how I used to see myself before I better understood my OCD I just think it's all there!!! He's getting all these intrusive thoughts about his worst nightmare and he CAN'T SHAKE THEM

And like we know that Carlisle considers himself to be a monster and that's where Edward got all those thoughts from but it doesn't bother Carlisle as much because he's not got OCD whereas Edward does which is why he's so fixated on it it all makes SENSE

So then he meets Bella. A human. Who his FIRST thought when he smells her is how much he NEEDS to kill her. For an hour he sits with intrusive thoughts about completely abandoning his morals to kill a room of humans over her. It's horrible for him. I actually go back and read this extract of Midnight Sun even though I can't actually finish the damn thing because it's a horrible scene to read and it really speaks to the way he struggles with his mental health as a character. And then beyond this scene he never really stops getting intrusive thoughts about Bella because he *knows* how fragile she is and simply because it bothers him so much

SO THEN we finally get back to how this looks to his sexuality because!! He's never had to think about this before. But he suddenly finds himself deeply romantically involved with a human. Does she desire him? He doesn't think so until she clarifies that she really does, but he thinks about it. And he's scared because it comes with it a whole new set of intrusive thoughts. That relate to the possibility of sexual activity and how much he could hurt Bella in that situation. He's terrified of this happening as we see the entire time Bella is human

I think it's so interesting how throughout the series, any desire to have sex with Bella whether that's through sexual attraction as a demisexual or grey ace, or as an activity he's happy to do to make Bella happy, it's always first considered through the lens of his OCD. And like what's always heartbreaking to me is that when they DO first have sex, because Edward convinces himself it's fine and he can control himself and he's maybe not evil if Bella loves him so much she'll marry him-- he hurts her. Not much but he does. Which really adds to how much he doesn't want it to happen again!! Because he's terrified of himself and really believes he's a monster

Anyway it's all so compelling to be because it's so so hard when your sexuality and mental illness interact and then as an immortal all powerful vampire who can read minds, that experience becomes even more unique yknow??

I could really talk about it forever but these are my main thoughts?? Thanks for enabling me lmaoo

I’m also going through most of Austin Wintory’s discography right now and wowza he’s got so much great stuff it makes me wanna cry I love video game music so much.  Update: The Rendezvous is actually a movie and not a video game but that’s okay the theme is still really really silkily good.

You know, every single part of me wants to get into birdwatching but it’s literally the nerdiest old-person hobby and I simply cannot bring myself to do it.

As you know I’ve been watching more movies including Pride and Prejudice 2005 (I’d never read the book and while watching I was surprised at how quickly Elizabeth got over hating Mr. Darcy but I then realized that quite a bit of time had passed so it made more sense then (also, and maybe it’s the red hair but, MR BINGLEY???  whew that’s an attractive man)) and Spiderman No Way Home (love love love love this movie omg it was wonderful (and this is coming from someone who’s never seen more than short clips and memes from the pre-mcu spiderman but was still able to understand references)) and a bunch of the DC Animated Universe movies (which,,,,, like,,,,, in general they’re just violently okay, from character design to plot to sensible scientific content).  I’m having a grand time.  I’m thinking about having a Twilight Day because I’ve never seen any of them.

Lastly: sewing.  The walking skirt is coming along.  I somehow miscalculated my waist somewhere because the final product will have a waistband that is overlapping by a severe one inch more than anticipated.  It’s pretty hidden with all the pleating back there anyway, but it sucks because I thought I’d calculated everything perfectly, and it just doesn’t look as neat up close.  I mean no one should be that close to my rump anyway and I don’t intend to wear this anywhere outside of my own house but still it’s pretty disappointing.  I’m letting it hang and then I’ll finish some of interior detailing and hem it and then I’ll be done.  

Next up I need to finish my mom’s dress.  At this point, it’s just hemming things, but I’m kind of disappointed about it overall and am not looking forward to presenting the final project :/  After that, I think I wanna get started on the pink bishop sleeve top because, aside from the sleeves, that should be a fairly quick project.  No pattern matching, and the only new technique will be the cuffed long sleeves.  

At some point I’m probably going to make a mockup for the vest pattern I drafted.  That shouldn’t take long.  I’m thinking about altering the pattern again to have a version with a “convertible” collar (which will only be worn one way lol) because that seems far more simple than drafting a shawl collar.  I really like this look and I could probably achieve it with some of this and a wee bit of some suede.  I’d love a beige/cream button up but I just haven’t found one yet.  It’d be lovely to get some linen and make myself one (or two hehe) but nowadays I only buy nice fabric like that at bargain prices if I can help it.  The one in the photo looks like some sort of (double?) gauze actually.  That could be cool.

Also, did a burn test, and the pink stuff I got yesterday might be pure wool????  Or, at least, if it’s mixed with something, it’s probably not a synthetic????  I am so happy about that omg.

Today I’m thankful that I enjoyed Spiderman No Way Home.  The first end credits scene was cute (and I’m glad they gave a preview for what Spiderman could face next bc at this point I don’t know what they could do with him following... the consequences of the movie :/) but I didn’t like how the second one was more of a trailer for the next Dr. Strange movie mainly because I don’t like trailers.  I think they can spoil too much of a movie.  I didn’t watch a single one for Endgame or really any Marvel thing (except WandaVision bc I’m a Scarlet Witch fan :P ) since Infinity War because I already know I’m going to watch everything they do and there’s no sense in me anticipating scenes I’ve already seen.

Pandora Hearts is SUPER dark, definitely would not recommend if you aren’t a fan of violence, gore and general horror themes. But I can say without any doubt that it is my FAVORITE manga series ever--the story is so brilliantly written and the characters are so lovable and the art style is GORGEOUS. Please give it a shot if I had to pick one manga for everyone to read it would be this one

Pavane is also pretty dark, since the whole context is. A boy killing other girls fmakdsadsa but it has romance too since he’s trying to get them to fall in love with him. Idk it’s pretty twisted but the mangaka has a super cute style so it’s all sorts of wild. Sadly it’s not finished, I think there’s only 1 volume and it was never continued from there? But I enjoyed what there is of it so far!

.Hack doesn’t have romance elements, it’s very humorous and all around just a good time! This was one of the very first manga series I ever read as a kid, like in 4th grade so it was AGES ago. But yeah it’s got a lot of similar vibes to SAO with the online gaming and such, and with the highly advanced AI system.

What song reminds you of being in middle school? Patron Tequila was a huuuuuuuuuge bop in 5th grade, and I can tell you too many kids who were too young for the song nevertheless vibed hard to it. Down by Jay Sean also reminds me of mid-elementary school. I believe both have so far been one-hit wonders, lol.

What was the first thing you learned how to cook? I don’t cook cook, but I remember we had one day in like preschool when we were taught how to make homemade pizza. That was the first dish I remember making. We used white bread for the crust and topped it with tomato sauce, grated cheese, and sliced hotdogs. I ended up liking the ‘recipe’ a lot and frequently asked my aunt or grandma to make it for me.

What does your hair currently look like? It’s slightly damp since I took a shower a couple of hours ago, and it’s currently styled in a low side ponytail.

Who's the worst driver you know? It’s been years since I’ve been in a car where my uncle was in charge of the wheel, but I would always end up feeling nauseous whenever he was the one driving. I never figured out why, but my best bet is because he tends to press hard on the brakes. I also don’t trust anyone who’s fine with being way too close to other cars.

What are some wild animals commonly found where you live? I live in a residential area where there are approximately 0 wild animals roaming around lol. I do have some neighbors who keep chickens, but that’s as wild as it gets over here.

Does it take a lot to make you cry? Nah. Just show me a stereotypical emotional video, like anything to do with grandparents or pets reuniting with their owners, and I’ll produce some tears for you in seconds.

If the last dream you had came true, would that be a good or bad thing? Bad. I was relieved when I finally woke up.

Have you ever had a lucid dream? No. I’ve tried doing it before but just could never get in the zone.

How long did your last car ride last? Something like 20 minutes. The mall isn’t that far away and most of the travel was because our house is way too far from the village’s entrance.

What's your most prominent memory from 2009? I used to keep this journal where all of my entries were of me roleplaying in the Twilight universe. Obviously it’s embarrassing to think of now, but I must’ve written quite well back then because my classmates loved reading it and used to pass it around during recess and lunch hahaha. That was my only successful stint in fiction writing ever. I know the notebook is still around somewhere, but I refuse to see even just the outside; too much cringe lol.

Do you think there will ever be world peace? A little pessimistic answer but no.

What's your biggest problem at the moment? A client was supposed to send us this file that I needed so I can proceed with a deliverable that we were asked to do today, but he never followed through. That’s fine by me since executions get moved all the time, but it also means he’ll probably send it sometime during the Holy Week break and I’ll have to work during one of my days-off this week. -__-

Has anyone ever told you you're too emotionally needy? I don’t think so. If someone has it would most likely stick with me.

Has an ex ever told you that they want you back? Nope. She has an infinite amount of pride in her bones for her to do that.

Have you ever turned down a job offer? I have never had to, and so far I’ve only been the one turned down haha. Joke’s on them; I’m super happy with the job I’ve landed.

What's the longest hospital stay you've had? For what? I’ve only had to be confined once and that was just an overnight stay. It was a dengue scare but turned out to be just a low platelet count.

Do you know anyone who doesn't know the basics of using a computer? My maternal grandma refuses to learn anything that’s got to do with modern technology, and I suuuper doubt she’d be able to figure out how to turn on a laptop or computer.

What was the last snack you ate? I was feeling hungry earlier and had a bite of this guava chip that my workplace had sent over as a care package; but it tastes super healthy and blech and I felt like I deserved something more junk food-y for finishing off the work week haha. Now I’m having KFC delivered at 1 AM :(((

What's something really basic that you're terrible at? Lighting up a matchstick. I’m scared of fire and I always ask my dad to be the one to light up my scented candles every single time.

Is it just me, or are tv shows/movies getting to be really dumbed down? No. Different generations, different tastes catered. I also think I’ve answered this survey before because I remember saying that I actually appreciate how content these days are more inclusive and open about tackling sensitive issues. That’s the complete opposite of ‘dumbed down’ to me.

Do you know any same-sex married couples? Finding one in the Philippines is like looking for a needle in a haystack, but yeah I happen to know a couple of couples. They probably handled all the paperwork in the US, but still. I’m glad their family is able to thrive here.

What was the last appointment you scheduled? It was a telemedicine consultation. I didn’t need it, but one of our clients recently partnered with this telehealth service and they wanted someone from the agency to use a free trial so we can have a better idea of what the service offers. I was the sacrificial lamb (lmao) and so I had to have this quick video call with one of their doctors. That was the first instance I was glad to have scoliosis because it gave me something to talk about, because otherwise I would be completely lost on what to consult about.

Are you happy with the person you have become? Getting there :) I definitely don’t have as many self-loathing moments than I used to just a few months ago.

What year were you born? 1998.

What does your favorite watch look like? I don’t have one; I don’t use watches as I will probably lose them in like a month anyway.

Did you have one of those Tamagotchi things as a kid? Yeah, but I personally didn’t get the hype and quickly went back to my other toys.

What's your favorite kind of wine? Sweeter ones. I can’t stand bitter wine.

When was the last time you felt lonely? Last Sunday. I was talking to Angela and Andi more excessively than usual that day; and it was most likely the quarantine getting to me. Even though they reassure me that I’m not being too clingy or annoying I still feel like I am, so that day made me rethink and reflect about ways to expand my circles and gain new friends.

Are your parents still together? Yeah, I literally just got them their KFC orders like 10 minutes ago.

Have you ever been so broke you didn't know how you'd keep a roof over your head? I’m thankful to have never been in this position.

Do you know anyone who believes that vaccines cause autism? Possibly. But at least they’re smart enough to keep their mouth shut about it.

What was the last piece of furniture you bought? OMG OMG OMG I *literally* just received it this afternoon but I finally bought a cute lil night lamp for my room :> :> Hahahaha I’ve spent my last four employed months spending on nothing but food, but I decided to switch it up a bit and finally purchase something that won’t be gone the next day, hence the lamp. Not really furniture, but still. It’s the cutest thing ever and it’s currently lighting up my room really prettily!!!

What's a new skill you'd like to learn? Climbing.

How did you celebrate your last birthday? It was the peak of the pandemic when the entire world was still scrambling to figure out how to handle it, so all stores were closed and no one could go out. I barely remember what had happened since that day just flew by, but I do recall that Angela had a box of sushi delivered to my place.

Do you have any great housecleaning tips? Not really.

What's your favorite cocktail? Zombie.

It’s been two months since your initial date with Tae.

It’s been relaxing, almost. Any negative feelings toward the man have slowly but surely dissipated since getting to know him personally. You pride yourself in calling it progress.

He really is the sweetest man- besides Jungkook, of course- you’ve ever met. He‘s funny too, in the cute sort of way. He has the sense of humor of a sarcastic angsty teen with a hint of wholesomeness that he tries to hide.

He’s passionate about his art, a borderline workaholic. When either you or Jungkook call him, nine times out of ten he’s in his studio working on a piece that “piqued his interest for the minute.”

He‘s thoughtful. He’s taken Jungkook out on multiple dates as well as yourself. Every time Jungkook comes back from one of their dates, he’s star-struck. He’d be in the best of moods, humming to himself while he puts on a love song playlist and dances with you around the living room. You haven’t seen him so giggly since the two of you started dating, like a teenager in love.

You think there might be genuine feelings between the three of you, that’s what keeps you so relaxed about your (some would say) unfortunate situation.

There are quandaries, as there would be in such a unique relationship. Bouts of jealousy erupt during the most random times. You remember about a week ago you caught yourself from slapping Taehyung’s hand away from Jungkook’s thigh while you all sat together on the couch, watching some cheesy rom-com.  The instinct came over you like a flash when out of the corner of your eye you saw Tae make the move. Jungkook had welcomed the skinship, obviously, opting to place his own hand on top of Tae’s. Clenching your jaw, you wiggle your way in just a little bit further into Jungkook’s side. You wonder if the last of this petty jealousy will disappear after a while. You don’t think that these feelings are directed at Taehyung personally. They were just fleeting instincts, not something that irks you constantly, like in the very beginning.

Just petty jealousy... that's all.

Tonight’s the big night. Jungkook had asked you if you were ready to take the next step last night.

“More ready than I’ll ever be.” You told him.

He was ecstatic at your answer and had instantly pulled out his phone to invite Tae over for dinner the following night, which was tonight.

You don’t know why you’re so nervous. His answer could only really be one thing. Yes. But that doesn’t stop your mind from brewing up things to worry about.

What if he says it’s too soon? What if he wants to keep it an open relationship? What if both you and Jungkook have been reading the signs all wrong?

What if he doesn’t feel anything romantic toward Jungkook? That was your biggest fear, as well as Jungkook’s probably.

“You're anxious,” Jungkook really could read you like a book. “You’re fidgeting.”

“I just want tonight to go perfectly. He has to be as comfortable as possible.” You reply as you toss the salad for the thirtieth time. 

“I agree. Maybe we should break out the alcohol?” He’s only joking but you actually think spiking your own drink might be the best option.

“The marinara sauce is burning.” He observes the red tomato sauce bubble over the pot.

“Shit.” You hiss, you’d totally forgotten while in your panic.

“It’s okay, Angel, I got it.” He chuckles, passing by you to the stove, stirring the pot, “Just relax. Everything will go fine.”

It has to. If it doesnt it might just be the end of your relationship, the one you’ve worked so hard to keep alive.

The light knock at the door pulls you out of your dark thoughts and back into reality. Jungkook gasps excitedly before pecking you on the cheek.

“I’ll get it!” He declares while padding over to the door. It swings open to reveal a tired but handsome Taehyung.

“Hey, Baby!”

A shiver runs down your spine when the word reaches your ears. Your movements freeze in pure shock.

“Hi, Babe.”

When did they start calling each other pet names?

You shake it off as quickly as it came. When you enter the hallway, Taehyung softly breaks the embrace between the two men to greet you.

“Sweetheart.”  He greets with a drowsy smile, pulling you into a tight squeeze.

“You hungry? I made spaghetti! Well, tried to.” You chuckle at your poor excuse for pasta.

“I’m starving. Haven't eaten since yesterday.” Taehyung admits, shyly.

“What?!” Both of your reactions were immediate.

“Since yesterday?!” Jungkook gapes.

“Well, it’s just I’ve been working on so many projects late-” His excuse falls short when Jungkook proceeds to guide Tae toward the dining room.

“That’s no excuse! No wonder you look so exhausted!” You begin to feel like a nagging mother but you just couldn't help it. You did care for the silver-haired artist and it pained you to know he wasn't properly taking care of himself. 

The ladle in your hand moves quicker than any kitchen utensil should, making Tae a plate first and foremost.

“Eat, please.” When the plate is set in front of him, he digs in.

“I didn’t even realize how hungry I was until about five minutes ago.” He beams with a mouthful of food. You can’t help but smile at how childlike he could be. He could be so cute when he wasn’t being a brooding sex god.

“Have you taken any breaks lately? When was the last time you slept?” Jungkook inquires. Tae purses his lips in thought, tapping his finger on his chin.

“Let’s see...I just left the studio about an hour ago, but I went straight to my house to shower so I could meet you guys. Before that, I was working for about thirteen hours and don’t think I took a significant break that entire time. So thirteen hours ago?” 

You could practically spot the exact moment Jungkook stops himself from banging his own head on the dining room table. 

“You’ve been working since six this morning?” You try to make your voice less accusatory this time.

“Yep. And I’ve finally finished that piece I’ve been working on for a week now! Jimin says we already have bids on it!” He’s glowing with pride, his smile lighting up the room so much you can’t even bring yourself to be angry at him.

“Well, congratulations. Now eat.” You joke as you shake your head.

When everyone’s done eating, the room seems a bit more heavy. The question in your head keeps growing until there’s no room for any other thoughts. Jungkook seems to be getting on fine though, as he reminisces on the last date they shared. Taehyung had taken him on one of his motorcycles. Jungkook couldn't stop talking about it for days, he had so much fun. You were genuinely happy for him.

You didn't realize you were biting your lip until Tae turned his attention to you,

“Got something you’d like to share with the class?” He jokes, gently nudging your calf with his foot.

Jungkook exchanges a quick look and a confident nod with you.

“Yeah, actually.”

“I’m all ears, Love.” His back straightens as if he’s giving you his full, undivided attention.

“So we- Jungkook and I- were thinking that since we all get along so nicely and, you know, we’re like soulmates and what not... um we were thinking-“

“Do you want to date us?” Jungkook blurts out. You deadpan at your impatient boyfriend.

“Uh, what he means is-“

“Absolutely.” You deadpan at your new impatient boyfriend, while Jungkook giggles beside you.

There’s a comfortable moment between the three of you as you all take in what this means. Blocking out all the needless worrying that you’re so good at, you concentrate on the warm feeling rising in your stomach.

"Finally,” Tae chuckles at himself, “It took you guys long enough! I was beginning to wonder if you guys were ever gonna ask me out. I was getting worried.”

“Hey. Being worried is my job.” You fake scold him, tapping him on the shoulder.

There was a silence that you couldn't ignore coming from your soulmate, Jungkook hadn’t even properly reacted when Tae said yes. But the nervousness ended when you saw what looked like tears gathering in his doe eyes.

“I'm so happy.” He says simply, voice slightly strained.

Omg YES. Those are one of my faves! It’s like you just knew. Black Hat is SO dramatic and Karl Urban is already hot, so adding in his wonderful performance makes for a villain that managed to outshine a priest - which, for me, is a big deal. I have a priest thing, like, hardcore. 

Absolutely! Yesss, lady monsters. I’m sorry if you’ve already seen everything I suggest but I’mma try my best. Also I’m going with all genres and throwing in some other media types as well because I must, apparently.  Also I’m sorry this is a novel, holy shit.

Vampire Movies: Dracula (the Bela Lugosi one. I’m not a fan of the Gary Oldman version,) all the Blade films, Lost Boys, Ultraviolet, Interview with the Vampire, Vampire in Brooklyn, Twilight (I know everyone shits on it but there’s so many babes in the films,) and Only Lovers Left Alive. Vampire Shows: Hemlock Grove (I didn’t finish it, but it has Bill Skarsgard, Famke Janssen, and Dougray Scott in it so even if the story isn’t that strong, there’s that,) What We Do in the Shadows, and Sirius the Jaeger if you fw anime.

Werewolves (besides those that are in any of the above): Red Riding Hood, An American Werewolf in London, Teen Wolf and Teen Wolf Too, and if you’re into vidya games you can make werewolves on the Sims.

Ghosts: I’m obviously a big fan of Thirteen Ghosts, Candyman, Beetlejuice (there’s also an animated series!) Crimson Peak, The Crow, Ghost Ship, and Sleepy Hollow.

Demons/Angels: Constantine, Jennifer’s Body, Hellraiser (just 1 and 2 - after that it gets so campy,) Legion, Dogma, Bedazzled, Little Nicky (100% for Rhys Ifans,) Insidious has some interesting lil friends, and if you fw anime: Blue Exorcist, Claymore, Demon Slayer, Fire Force, and Inuyasha all have actual demons. Some others have similar variations and I’ll mention those in “other,” 

Robots/Androids/Cyborgs (I’m going with they count): AI (peep Jude Law,) Avengers: Age of Ultron, Robots (you may not wanna smash any of them, but it’s a classic,) and Archer (hella cyborgs.)

Aliens: A fair amount of the Marvel films, but my personal faves are Venom and Thor: The Dark World - the elves are pretty damn hot, the Men in Black franchise has some good ones, The Faculty, Rocky Horror Picture Show, District 9, Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, The Chronicles of Riddick (Karl Urban is up in this bitch, too!) Star Wars obvi, Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets (Rihanna, always hot,) and Futurama is basically all aliens.

Clowns: It (all the films,) Clown, Killer Klowns from Outer Space, and Terrifier. Also Archer has a few episodes where there’s a whole clown gang.

Other: Sinister has Bughuul, Dead Silence (if you’re into puppets. If not, it’s still a cool film,) The Brothers Grimm offers a lot, Ferngully has Hexxus, League of Extraordinary Gentleman, The Mummy (Imhotep and Anck Su’Namun are fine,) absolutely anything made by Guillermo del Toro, The Babadook can shapeshift and I wasn’t sure if he qualified as a ghost or not, American Horror Story has everything: ghosts, demons, withces, vampires, clowns, etc., Black Phillip’s human form in The Witch, Coraline (the other parents,) Pagemaster has this Jekyll and Hyde scene that’s nice and spicy, Courage the Cowardly Dog has Queen of the Black Puddle and some other great ones, the hormone monsters in Big Mouth are pretty legit. I’mma get into anime and video games now so if you’re not feeling that, I totally get it if you stop reading. Or if you did like a million words ago.

Anime: Ajin, Devilman Crybaby has all the demons, Bleach has kinda ghosts and the Hollows/Arrancar (plus fillers featuring vampires and sword spirits that are all beasty,) Swordgai isn’t that strong of a show but they basically all get possessed, D. Gray-Man has demonish creatures and some vamps, some of the Shinigami in Death Note aren’t bad, some of the evolutions in Digimon are pretty hot ngl, and there’s probably more that I can’t think of rn.

Vidya Games: In Skyrim (and TES in general) you get vampries, werewolves, elves, orcs, lizard folks, and then all the Daedric Princes. The Legend of Zelda series offers some good shit; Prince Sidon in BotW, Twilight Princess comes through with Ganon, Zant, the darknuts, and Death Sword. All the games have some good shit. Same with Final Fantasy - in 12 alone there’s the Espers and Vayne post transformation. The Jak and Daxter series, the tyrants in Resident Evil, and in The Arcana some of the card.. spirits? Idk what they’re called but they’re lowkey hot.

i don’t usually do this but i feel Compelled to do a liveblog/review of Mouth Dreams so here goes

Please don’t read this if you haven’t heard the album yet as it’ll spoil Everything

(i’ll admit the idea came to me After i listened to Just a Baby so these first ones are gonna be relistened reviews)

first we got Yahoo. what can i say about this song? neil starts off Strong with incredibly sustained notes and just one phrase, in typical neil style. and he makes it work in so many different ways! honestly didn’t expect myself to get so attached so fast but that’s just the way his magic works ig. when the hoooooooos harmonise it almost brings tears to the eyes. i would love to see a group of choristers singing this with another guy on an electric keyboard. what a cold open. 9/10

of course then we go on to the titular track, the dimension of sound, the dimension of imagination, the dimension of doors. rod serling narrates the intro in his traditional monotone as the warbling twilight zone theme plays in the background. i tell ya i was actually Screaming when the track finished and he dropped the title! it may not be a song per se, sort of like Blockbuster from Mouth Moods, a ‘filler track’ if you will, but the effort in those fifty seconds cannot be ignored. it just goes to show once again how Good he is at what he does. 6.5/10

oh lawd, my favourite so far, Spongerock. reading the title i had absolutely No idea what to expect. the goofy goober song from the movie? winner takes all from band geeks? i was pleasantly surprised to find myself tapping out queen’s distinctive boom boom CLAP as the song progressed, and i was in complete Hysterics the whole way through, chanting along with the kids as the pirate encouraged me to sing louder. it’s such a beautiful fit the way they mesh together, and it’s one of those mashups that you listen to and think ‘why has nobody done this before?’ but neil is on a higher plane of existence than us and Knows where it’s at. you’re never the same after you’ve listened to Spongerock. 7.5/10

Just a Baby, where i stopped to begin this thing, is a melancholy song, which i’m not usually a fan of. i admit i don’t know the original song so i kept quiet until the last chorus or two. it’s the yang to the yin of Wow Wow from Moods, another sentence-mixer that was like a full Bop and barely gave you time to catch your breath. in Just a Baby you begin to empathise with the singer as he regales confusing times of his constant youth, including the time his mother (a train) shot a man in cold blood. it’s a powerful ballad, and it’s got a tasteful amount of justin bieber adding backing vocals to the chorus. i may have to deduct a few points cos the lyrics are gonna be hard af to remember. 7/10

ok next up we got Superkiller. this one’s totally blind! i’m. ehhhhh okay not diggin this one very much. ok that say something once line being repeated was comedy gold but talking heads are just like. kinda tuneless tbh. i’m glad he’s trying to lassoo it together with u can’t touch this but it’s kinda falling short tbh. i wouldn’t skip it but it’s not as memorable as the previous ones. 5/10

starting Get Happy. i’m not gonna lie i think i Know what this is, there are only so many options after all. i predict it’s a mix of “get dancin’” by disco-tex and the sex-o-lettes and “happy” by bahrrel williams, and i really hope that ain’t the case cos i Love the first one but despise the latter. oh well let’s see if he can pull it off. sounds like village green by the kinks so far lol uhhhh i have no idea what to make of this. okay i feel like i’m gonna like this after all. hey it’s got memorable lyrics at least! is it gonna get faster? or just more bassy? yknow maybe i was too critical at the start, but i had no idea what to expect. this is a feel-good pop song and it’s definitely making me feel happier than i was when i was listening to Superkiller. 7/10

Ribs? wtf do i expect from a song called Ribs lmao another song i’ve never heard of IH IT’S EVERYBODY WANTS TO RULE TH WORLD OH YEEEEEEEEES omg i Love this song i sing it to myself when i’m walkin my dog cos his little paws click-clack on the pavement to the exact rhythm of the song omg i’m in Love! another one with odd lyrics but i think after a Lot of repeat listening i’ll be able to properly croon along to this one omg! it reminds me of Best from Mouth Silence in that they’re both about products, only instead of folgers in your cup it’s about chili’s baby back ribs omg neil you’re Perfect! how come more advertisers haven’t contacted you for a product placement deal?? 7.5/10

next we got My Mouth. welcome to? who knows let’s hit play. ooooh minor key. is this a real song? it sounds like oney singing a cover of something. oh That’s the gimmick? 2:30 long i hope there’s something else tbh cos otherwise it’s gonna get pretty thin pretty fast. mm not a fan. the weakest so far imo especially after Ribs blew me away. definitely a bad dream. 3.5/10

Aerolong don’t fail me now! okay see This is how you do a mashup. I DON’T MISS YOU BABAY AND I DO WANNA MISS A THING THAT’S GOLD!! this is just a song about saying bye to your ex lmao i love it. wish it was longer though. 6/10

Sleepin’ here we go! ok in the youtube version the first half of this song is just silence so that wasn’t fun. gee this one’s only moderately better than My Mouth i’m feeling very shortchanged. 4/10

what to expect from Aamoorree? hopefully this one’s another jam but...okay i’m likin this one. it’s Fun and isn’t trying too hard! it’s just a drunk dean martin singing about pizza pie on karaoke night, what more could you ask for lol. 6/10

Where Is My Mom? by the p-p-p-pooo-oo-ooo-oooool of course. i don’t recognise the other song but it’s decent. i’ve listened to slowed-down songs before (the sludgefest chipmunks albums lately) and this one’s kinda ok. not a fan of the ending but points for effort ig. 5.5/10

Fredhammer ay? might there be some peter gabriel in there? undoubtedly. yup there it is lol ok now bring in the flintstones? oh ig that’s fred durst? mm not totally feeling it so far but censoring he** was funny lmao HEY THERE’S SEINFELD i’m wheezin that was a good way to end a song, well done neil. 6.5/10

here goes Limp Wicket. i’m on the edge of my seat. and Again i’m disappointed. is this a bunch of ewoks singing some kind of star wars song? or is it jarjar? either way this is Not a good song. it probably wasn’t before he mashed it up but this wasn’t an improvement. bringing in Fredhammer didn’t help this song much at all, in fact i think it brought both songs down actually. last one was a 7/10 but i Have to dock it points now that it’s a two-parter. as for this one? i’m being generous cos the limp bizkit song was good. 1/10

Cannibals runs for 4 minutes. PLEASE don’t let this be a repeat of the last one. i get that miners can’t dig up gold every time but don’t just show up with a bunch of rocks and iron pyrites yknow i’m just gonna start. i don’t want to be angry at this album. i recognise that sound in the bg! from a cyriak vid i think. thx comin in. loooooooong drone. ugh UGH there are Too many lucid dreams on this album. starting to regret liveblogging this cos i Loved the other three mouth albums. this one’s just falling flat again and again. 3/10

here comes The Outsiders. there is NOTHING to say about this. 1.5/10

come on Johnny. okay that got a laugh out of me, not many songs start with a booing crowd like that, is that meta? wouldn’t put it past him tbh. ah i’ll give it a 5/10, for a kinda filler song it wasn’t too bad.

Closerflies, this has gotta be gold. PLEASE. intro’s goin on for a little too long...mm having never heard the original version of closer i gotta admit i thought it’d be faster, like the one used in Rollercloser in Silence. this version seems very sloppy and sluggish, especially the bassline. 3/10

Nightmovin’ i’m not expecting much OH good intro oh YES now here we go. this is a good one, it’s got clear lyrics and a catchy tune, i’m liking this one more and more by the second. cuts off weird but it’s going into the next one. so i’m gonna leave the rating out of this one and see how it is after the next one.

Whitehouse i’m holding my breath. mm it’s Good but not great tbh. criminal that the last one was half as long as this one. think i’m gonna give both of these songs a 5/10 i doubt they’ll be anyone’s favourites. the title is a nice little joke too i respect that.

Wah! what’s neil’s obsession with using wannabe as a source lmao! it’s another decent one but nothing memorable again. 5/10

Pee Wee Inc i’m expecting big things. good intro I’M IN LOVE okay this is Much better than i imagined it’d be. did he use the radio edit of feel good inc? this is a heck of a way to bring it back to the gold stuff and i wouldn’t be surprised if this is what neil’s head sounds like all the time. 7/10

on to 10,000 Spoons. not sure what to expect from the title. okay this is a Nice one i think. throwback to the likes of Just a Baby with the two songs and the sentence mixing and it’s Good. and really 10,000 spoons is So ironic anyway, don’t you think? 7/10

oh another song called Mouth Dreams? an extro? that was Weird lol ok the intro i wasn’t too keen on, def not as much as the intro, but i got to appreciate it as it went on. like Rlly appreciate it i was beginning to reflect on what a journey i’d been through tonight, especially writing it all down. felt very poetic. and then WHAM, out of nowhere, after being gone for 23 songs, all-star came Back and How! gotta give this one a 7.5/10

keep the train rolling Brithoven! i can hear faint bits of instruments in britney’s song in the back of her audio which sound like a mistake but knowing neil.......yah lmao. this song’s kinda like Promenade (Satellite Pictures at an Exhibition) from Mouth Sounds, i liked what i heard. very nice. 6.5/10

the final song. we’re gonna be hit one more time for Ain’t! and i have NO idea what i’m in for! in the hall of the mountain king eh? is this like a way of looping around to the first song of the first album with classical music? ok the snoring’s a nod to Bustin i’m sure lmao funny anyway. i thought i heard a hey now in there but i must be going nuts. wouldn’t call it a grand finale but it is what it is. 5/10

now the question that must be asked - was Mouth Dreams trying to make a point? was there a reasons so many songs were of lower-quality than previous albums? perhaps it’s just a matter of taste, or perhaps it’s as rod said back on track two, that this album is a doorway into another dimension, and the further you progress, the more mind-rattling, brain-melting concepts you come across. the album gets an average of 5.5 which is kinda disappointing. don’t think i’ll be listening to the whole thing again. thanks for reading!
