Dick watches as the newly proclaimed crime lord, Red Hood, storms off on his bike, without a care in the world. Logically speaking, Nightwing should try to chase after him — he was an awful headache to his family lately, wasn't he? — but he had no power to deal with this right now, not when it was useless anyway; Red Hood escaped Batman as if it was his hobby, there was no way Dick himself would succeed, especially while he is wounded.

'Stuck-up,' he still murmurs faintly.

'You hate him?'

Dick almost flinches. Almost, because he is already used to the ghost of his little brother appearing out of nowhere, in day and night. Even now, little Jason is sitting atop of someone's car, swinging his feet in the air mindlessly. He flashes his brother a smile once their eyes meet, and Dick mirrors it in the instant.

'Hate is a strong word, Little Wing.'

'Well, I hate geometry. That's not that complicated,' Dick snorts at that.

'Why does it matter, anyway?'

Little Jason hums mindfully. There is a hint of hesitation in his actions, before he admits:

'I like him.'

Dick blinks a few times.

'You like Red Hood? Why would you like Red Hood?'

This doesn't sound like something Jason would say, right?

...Then again, Dick knew very little about his brother, and these things he knew, he started to forget a long time ago. It would be probably easier, to keep these details in mind, if only he had someone to talk about it — someone, who knew Jason, too. But Bruce is stubborn in his grief, and Dick cannot speak about Jason with no one else but his own ghost.

'He protects Crime Alley people in the way they need it,' Jason insists firmly. 'So, I like him. Can you not hate him, too?'

This is so fucking strange. Why Dick's consciousness tries to reassure him to like that red asshole? Isn't that just... bizarre? Is he finally going insane?

'Uh,' Dick rubs the bridge of his nose. 'Listen—'

The comms crack faintly, catching his attention. Barbara asks about the status of the mission, and he reports it quickly before turning around again, to look at Jason once more and resume their conversation.

But the ghost is gone again.

And Dick is still puzzled.

Maybe he should go through Red Hood's case one more time?..

Few things make me giggle more at Kurt than his writers reminding everybody that he is in fact Ravens son. Pissed off and there are any sharp objects in his general vicinity? Everybody is very quickly reminded of his heritage. The train scene in dark Phoenix, his judgement on Krakoa, feeding the blob a shark so it would eat him from the inside out, clawing out Apocalypses eyes? He is most definitely Ravens son.

Adding onto this another thing I find endlessly amusing is people’s knowingly futile attempts to stop these things from happening, Sabretooth being increasingly frustrated every time he manages to piss off Kurt enough for a fight, apocalypse sighing in defeat when he realises he just has to accept blindness.

EVERYBODY seems to know that if it’s at the point where he’s threatening extreme violence, they have already crossed the threshold of talking him out of it lmao.

This isn't even all of them. A lot of characters have had a few different outfits but they seemed to especially like doing this with X2. Like more than anyone else. Not that I blame them nor am I complaining.

wade and jean are such parallels!!!!!

like she's a red head and the way she handles love is in her head, not in her chest and body. she thinks clinically about love and literally in the shot her body is cut from her head showing only her head. she thought about being with logan and stopped it. body seperate from mind.

wades head is red from blood, he thinks about love and accepting love, but not too much, his entire suit is red. he just feels it in his entire body way more.

anyway this scene with wade has an EXTRA character and that's althea,

she represents that what was missing within jean for logan. althea represents wade's love and she is being introduced to logan! so basically .....like logan was telling wade not to diss his own love...his feelings and emotions. treat it with more respect . so wade does

like yeah you're a bit crazy, and blind, and unstable, and can't see anyone's warning signs , you just love them with fervor. and then get emotional if they leave because you couldn't see the signs you're blind to them,

but that doesn't mean you should beat yourself up over that or how you feel things.

The highlight of the finale for me was arthur going to town on larson-the-childkiller while whimpering his own dead daughter's name and trying to choke the elder god out of him with his bare hands in the most visceral way possible and the narrative drama of kayne finishing what he started before taking one of those bloodsoaked hands in his to lead him off into the proverbial sunset like medea's dragon
