♡ Talk about a glow up huh. Mister Naoya doesn't look so bad now, his pose portrays his confidence much better (the last one looked more insecure in my opinion, and Naoya doesn't like presenting himself as someone vulnerable) I tried to go for a watercolor vibe on the first attempt, but I ended up choosing a cleaner coloring style for the vn, it matches better with the backgrounds.
The next step is to draw the others in the same style, but that shouldn't take that much time, haha.

Holly & Macy November 2024 BIG Progress Update!!
Hi, everyone! I've written up a fairly exhaustive progress update about the status of Holly & Macy and Everyone Else. You can read the whole thing (and view the included pictures) on my Patreon. The Patreon post is public, so you do not need to be a member of my Patreon to view it. It should be available for free to everyone. I'll very briefly summarize the main points below. The gist of it is:
Holly & Macy will officially resume weekly updates starting Wednesday January 29th 2025. From then on, the comic will update on Wednesdays at 11am PST. That’s 1pm CST, 2 hours later than the previous update time.
ALSO I am open for commissions right now! I’ve joined an artist collective raising funds to help Shimaa’s family in Gaza. If you donate to Shimaa’s gofundme, you can get some lovely art from me in exchange! More information about how this works, the vetting process, and the participating artists can be found via our carrd. If you have further questions, you can also reach out to my good friend Matty (@maddzroks) who is spearheading this project. At the time of writing, I have 2 slots open for commissions. Let’s do our best to help Shimaa and her family out!

Fun fact: Akabaka made this trailer without actually "animating" anything
I'd love to go in-depth on the "making of" when I have some time. He used limited animation techniques to mimic the effect of motion without having to draw so many individual images. Aka is a self-taught artist and had not made any animations before the first Sucker for love trailer. Really wanted to replicate the feel of a classic anime op or trailer, so had to get creative
He used the same techniques in his other two trailers, taking cues from other openings like this Keep Your Hands Off Eiziken op and this Candyman trailer.

Day 3 on the godot dungeon crawler:
Not much was done today.
What I said yesterday was mostly true and the majority of the day was spent working on Zenith. I did get a sweet and simple map working, though. I started laying out the skeleton for combat but not much was done.

B Ball – First 4 levels, PreShow

B Ball – it is a game about platform and ball. With retro effect. So, here you need to hit platforms. So, it is example, about how it plays!
Well, as for me, I can to go, from the first attempt, to level 4. Diagonal enemy, makes a big serious element of dynamics into the game! So, from the first time, it is hard to go far! It is good to be more carefully!
Total, 9 levels. And, there are calm levels. And, there are dynamical levels.
Menus are with text form. Retro effect. Green color.
And color specter. 15 colors. And, it is counts all of hits for block for level and for all the game time. And in result it is a color specter!
Basic Pascal version 1.18 "Duckling" – most newest version. In this version there are 4 new games! Puddles at Countryside, Duckling Pseudo 3D, Road to Countryside, Duckling Goes 2D. And even more retro games! It is a pack of retro games with modern versions of Basic and Pascal.
It is now in development new version Basic Pascal pack games. This game will be included in a new version.

This Week In Development
Current Wordcount: 28,859
Writing (May Contain Spoilers)
I worked through a good chunk of the hobbies and am ending the week with only one that has not been worked on at all, and two that are unfinished, but I really needed to take a break from them. There is just so. much. code. Each hobby (aside from one) has about half a dozen scenes depending on the choices and stats of the MC. That is 46 scenes, give or take! I hadn't done the math on that before, and now I think I'm crazy. There are even further small changes within some of those scenes. It's no wonder I needed a change of pace!
I'm currently working on the scene right afterwards, which involves dressing to meet E for the first time. I have the choices for attire, as well as the reasons you might choose them posted on Discord. If you would like access to it, it comes with the preorder!
In conclusion, I think November was a month of making things very hard on myself, but I hope they will have been worth it.

Greetings
Technology is magic, and I want to learn all the necessary incantations in order to create beautiful projects!
So far I know what classes are, and I can make a mean switch statement in C, C++ AND C#, so it comes as no surprise that I signed up to participate in an app making contest that's due in about one month.
I opened android studio and it scared me.
If anyone has any cool resources (doesn't have to be app dev related, I wanna learn anything and everything), I would greatly appreciate it. So far I've heard words such as kotlin and jetpack compose so I've been meaning to get into those.
After the app thingy is done, it's gonna be game making time babyyyyy.
I'll be using this blog to track my progress every day, and anytime I manage to do anything, it'll be a huge achievement for me :D

Haven't posted an update in *checks watch* almost one year cuz I got burnout and really had to pull back the ol online presence. 😓
It was a good rest, though. I'm learning how to take better care of myself so I can continue making magic for a long time to come!
New things in Figmin are:
Animation!!!!!!
Lights casting onto real-world surfaces (even your hands)
Better shadows (you can do hand puppetry)
Search by user function so you can see all of someone's art
A web browser, so you can download stuff directly, listen to Spotify, check Discord, or even just mindlessly scroll Tumblr from within a digital glowing jungle. If you want to.
A whole bunch of UI and performance fixes
