I honestly think neocities (as like, a tool) is super cool and fun and useful but also sooo many sites I've seen on there have a LOT of blinkies or other flashing graphics that you can't really turn off and that I don't think I've ever seen content warnings for. and it annoys meee. Flashing/flickering lights don't put me in any kind of actual danger (they just make my head hurt a bit, so I have to close my eyes) but that's not the case for anyone. It's irritating! I have to admit I don't fully understand how photosensitivy triggers work (I'm not even sure if that's the phrase I'm looking for?), but given the fact that most games/movies/shows will include warnings on them if there's flashing lights or strained colors, I get a little pissed off!

being a self-inflicted video game difficulty snob is such a fucking curse, like i am constantly telling people to try a lower difficulty if they're not having fun with a game but i am like completely incapable of taking my own advice. i'm playing through pathfinder wrath of the righteous and i got stuck on a spot where i was forced after like two hours of repeated attempts to take the difficulty off of core rules to progress, and i feel so shit about it that i feel the need to start the whole game over and build my girl better as penance.

Thinking About Pokemon

A short list of things that could Nintendo should do with Pokemon.

Pokémon TTRPG. Not the card game, but an actual Pokemon role playing game. Big market, I think. Make your own Pokemon story.

Some sci-fi stuff. Humans in the Pokemon world have all kinds of crazy sci-fi shit. Like, teleporters, dimension stuff, why no spaceship Nintendo? Where’s my damn electric spaceship OAK!

Probably sounds overly edgy, but considering the age of a good portion of the fanbase, can’t Nintendo at least try ONE, Pokemon game or piece of media where things get slightly violent? Like, a Pokemon story where we have a little stakes. I don’t mean gore or that I want to see a Pikachu die, but I want the trainers to viscerally stab one another

A Pokemon game where the trainer can jump in. Like holy shit that would be awesome.

A Pokemon game with an actual plot and villains. That one felt easy.

A Pokemon game that actually lets you tackle gyms in any order.

Returning to past regions instead of trying to overly flashy with new stuff all the time.

Secret bases. They were cool. That’s not a serious suggestion, but still.

Adjustable difficulty. Like why isn’t that a thing? It could just be for Gym leaders and major NPC fights.

Less reliance on timed events. This isn’t a real issue, but I hate them on principle. I payed money for this game (sometimes) I expect to be able to play it however and whenever I damn well please.
