Why Ionic Outperforms Flutter in 2024: 7 Data-Driven Reasons to Choose Ionic
Tumblr media
In the competitive realm of hybrid app development, selecting the right framework is crucial for ensuring the success of your project. As of 2024, Flutter and Ionic are the two leading contenders in the field. While both frameworks have their strengths, an in-depth analysis of data and technical aspects reveals that Ionic may have the edge for many developers and businesses. Here’s why Ionic stands out, supported by compelling statistics and technical insights.
1. Hybrid Approach Enhances Performance
Performance is a pivotal factor in choosing a development framework. Ionic’s hybrid approach utilizes pre-existing plugins and technologies that enhance development efficiency while maintaining high performance. Ionic delivers a consistent 60 FPS across both desktop and mobile platforms, demonstrating its ability to offer smooth and reliable user experiences.
Flutter, known for its native compilation and custom rendering engine, also achieves 60 FPS. However, while Flutter’s hot reload feature can accelerate development, it doesn’t always translate to faster overall development time. Data suggests that Flutter's hot reload can reduce development time by up to 63%, but this benefit is often counterbalanced by the complexity of the app being developed.
2. Superior UI Customization and Flexibility
UI design flexibility is another critical factor where Ionic excels. Ionic leverages web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, providing developers with a comprehensive library of pre-designed components. This allows for highly customizable and responsive UIs, with standard-based web components that can be styled to resemble native elements, ensuring a consistent look and feel across various platforms.
Flutter, in contrast, employs its own rendering engine and offers a range of pre-designed widgets. While these widgets adhere to Material Design and Human Interface guidelines and provide extensive customization options, they may not offer the same level of flexibility as the standard web components used by Ionic. For businesses seeking a tailored UI with rapid implementation, Ionic’s approach offers a significant advantage.
3. Enhanced Code Portability and Maintenance
Code portability is a crucial aspect of modern app development, and Ionic’s use of web technologies facilitates this with ease. Developers can deploy a single codebase across mobile, desktop, and Progressive Web Apps (PWA), simplifying code maintenance and updates. This approach reduces the time and effort required to manage different platform versions.
Flutter also supports cross-platform code sharing but relies on Dart, which is less widely adopted than JavaScript. Although Flutter's single codebase approach is effective, developers may face a steeper learning curve with Dart, potentially impacting the speed of development and onboarding.
4. Developer-Friendly Ecosystem
The developer experience is greatly influenced by the ecosystem surrounding a framework. Ionic’s ecosystem is designed to enhance developer convenience, offering extensive documentation and compatibility with popular JavaScript frameworks such as AngularJs     , React, and Vue. This integration allows developers to leverage their existing skills and tools, facilitating faster development and maintenance.
Flutter requires proficiency in Dart, a less common language compared to JavaScript. Although Flutter provides comprehensive documentation, the learning curve associated with Dart can be a barrier for new developers or those transitioning from other languages. Ionic’s ecosystem, with its focus on familiar technologies, presents a more accessible option for many developers.
5. Accelerated Development and Deployment
Speed is critical in the app development lifecycle. Ionic’s hybrid approach and efficient use of web technologies contribute to quicker development cycles. With its vast library of components and plugins, developers can rapidly assemble and deploy applications, minimizing the need for extensive custom coding.
Flutter’s hot reload feature is designed to speed up development by allowing real-time updates without restarting the app. While this feature is beneficial, the overall speed of development can still be affected by the complexity of the application and the need for frequent updates. Ionic’s streamlined approach often results in faster development and deployment times.
6. Cost-Effective Development
Cost considerations are always at the forefront of app development decisions. Ionic’s utilization of web technologies and pre-existing plugins often results in more cost-effective development compared to Flutter. The use of JavaScript and established web frameworks typically leads to lower development costs, as teams can build on their existing knowledge and tools.
In contrast, Flutter’s development costs may be higher due to the need for specialized Dart expertise and potentially longer development times for complex applications. Although Flutter can deliver high-performance apps, the associated costs can be a significant factor for businesses operating within tight budgets.
7. Established Community and Support
Community support and available resources play a crucial role in the development process. Ionic’s longer presence in the market has fostered a robust ecosystem of resources, tutorials, and community support. This established network provides valuable assistance for troubleshooting, learning, and keeping up with the latest advancements.
While Flutter is supported by a rapidly growing community and benefits from Google’s backing, it is relatively newer compared to Ionic. As a result, the community support and resources for Flutter are still expanding. For developers seeking a well-established support network, Ionic’s longstanding presence offers a substantial advantage.
Ionic’s Technical Superiority
Ionic excels not only in performance and development efficiency but also through its robust technical features:
Plugin Integration: Ionic utilizes Cordova and, more recently, Capacitor plugins to access host operating system features such as Camera, GPS, and Flashlight. This integration allows developers to build applications that leverage native device functionalities while using a unified codebase.
Comprehensive Framework: Ionic supports building apps that can be customized for a range of platforms, including Android, iOS, Windows, Desktop (with Electron), and modern browsers. This versatility is facilitated through Ionic’s build tools and simplified command-line interface (CLI), which streamlines the app-building and deployment process.
Extensive UI Components: Ionic includes a wide array of mobile components, typography, interactive paradigms, and an extensible base theme. Web Components used in Ionic provide custom elements and methods for interaction. Notable components like virtual scroll allow for smooth scrolling through extensive lists, while tabs create native-style navigation with history state management.
Development Tools: Ionic offers services that enable code deploys and automated builds. Although its own IDE, Ionic Studio, was discontinued in 2020, the CLI remains a powerful tool for project creation, plugin management, push notifications, and native binary generation.
Conclusion
In conclusion, while both Flutter and Ionic offer distinct benefits for hybrid app development, data and technical insights indicate that Ionic may be the preferable choice for many projects. With its hybrid approach, superior UI customization, code portability, and developer-friendly ecosystem, Ionic presents a compelling option for businesses looking to develop high-performance, cost-effective applications.
If you're considering developing a new application or updating an existing one, hiring Ionic developers could significantly enhance your project’s success. Ionic’s strengths in development efficiency and technical versatility make it a robust and effective choice in the competitive landscape of hybrid app development.
By choosing Ionic, and with the expertise of skilled Ionic developers, you can harness a framework with a proven track record, ensuring efficient development and deployment processes. For a well-established support network and a streamlined development experience, Ionic is the framework to consider.

The stars glistened outside of the window of the lab the both of you were in, working late once more, added to the tally of the days spent in his own lab. Calvin was sitting at one of the counters, looking over his notes, jotting down corrections every so often. You were sitting, more like lying down on his battered couch that has been victim to too many chemical spills and burns throughout his time at Hastings. His head perked up from his notebook as he heard you softly snoring, the moon emitting a light overtop of your sleeping face.
His eyes scanning over you for a moment too long, taking in your features.. Making little mental notes on how you looked while sleeping. “Wow ..” He quickly caught himself muttering something so simple under his breath, clearing his throat, but something that meant so much — he was catching feelings for you, strong ones. He rested his head on his hand, just watching you sleep. Your hair framing your face, a strand falling overtop one of your eyes. Calvin hesitated before his hand reached out, tucking the loose strand behind your ear, his thumb resting against your cheek for a little too long. He revoked his hand almost immediately as he saw you stir, pretending as if he were writing his notes.
Your eyes slowly flutter open as you wake up, taking in the dimly lit lab around you – lifting your head, and stretching in the process. You yawned softly, looking over your shoulder to see Calvin taking some notes. “What have you written so far?” Speaking softly, a soft rasp to your voice, you smiled. “Uhm--” Calvin looked down at his notes, noticing that there were smudges on the page from when you took his attention. “Just on trends with electronegativity in the periodic table.. But– it’s all smudged." Calvin tsked as he realised that the ink got onto the sleeves of his button up and over the sides of his hands, his hands pushed up his sleeves to his elbows.
In your sleep-induced state, you couldn’t help but stare - your lips parted slightly as your gaze trailed over his arms, like the first time. You then grabbed his notes off the table, trying to deduce his smudged writing and drawings, standing up you walked over to the sink. The uneven tiling caused you to stumble a bit, but then arms circled your waist. “Hey– hey, whoa. Careful.” Calvin helped you stand up straight, you then became very aware of the proximity or lack thereof between the two of you. “I don’t need my science partner falling on me.” A small smirk graced his face as he tucked a strand of hair that was disturbed from your near fall, his touch lingered just for a moment. Then an inch closer, you could feel the heat of his breath - your nerves on fire as his fingers grazed your waist. But something told you to tear away, told you that this was wrong - that you were feeding into the rumours Fran and her friends developed about you and Calvin, you didn’t want to prove them right. “I should go home– it’s late.” You nodded to yourself, avoiding his eye contact as you stepped away. Calvin’s hands slipped from your waist as you stepped away, grabbing your things. “Wait– I.. I’m sorry.” Calvin started up,
“No, Calvin. You’re fine.” You grabbed your necessities from your desk, shoving them haphazardly into your bag. “I didn’t mean for it to be like that—” “I’m not saying you did.” You finally met his gaze, his blue eyes boring into your own - full of confusion, sadness and something you couldn’t quite note. Calvin grew silent at your remark, leaning back against the sink. “Goodnight, Dr. Evans.”
Calvin was going to respond when he heard you call him by his title, reminding him of the separation between the two of your roles in the lab - a reversal of everything the two of you have built in a way too, all because he got a little lovestruck. “Goodnight.” Calvin looked to the ground, not looking up till you left - not wanting to cement the image of you leaving him all alone in his mind. As he heard the click of your heels retreating and the familiar close of his lab door, it felt quiet. The quiet that he typically enjoyed, the solitude and the isolation from everyone else. But now it just felt empty, saddening.
You two never talked about that late night in the lab, never talked about the light touches, the closeness, the intimacy - you both preferred not to have that conversation. Regardless, over the span of a couple more weeks, you and Calvin continued to grow closer learning the little things, like how he hated the rain but loved water like lakes and rivers, how he got into chemistry in the first place. Calvin showed you a side you didn’t know existed in people, tranquility, kindness, acceptance. He listened to you and seemed  The scientists and secretaries gossiped about it, continuously. Earning you weird looks in the hallway whenever you were beside him, or walking to his lab. But you didn’t mind it, at least you thought you didn’t.
You were in your designated lab, keeping to yourself - looking over some notes Calvin gave you a couple hours ago. Speak of the Devil, Calvin just walked in, looking over the place quickly, practically radiating nervous energy until his gaze landed on you. Without a single word, Calvin walked over to you, a hand placed to your lower back as he directed you out of the room. “Calvin? What’s going on?” He didn’t say a thing, walking you into his lab a couple doors down. You were looking around, confused. “If this is about the other night, I really don't–” He then pulled you into a kiss, you immediately pulled back. “Calvin, I–” You placed a hand to your lips, looking up at him. You detested these thoughts for so long, but now it seems like nothing could be anymore right. You looked at him, just for a beat, before pulling him into another kiss. This one more heated, his hands moved to your hips - his touch tentative at first, fingers lightly grazing your hip bone. “Tell me that you want this– please.” Calvin mumbled against your lips, the words spilling out before he could process them. “I want this, Calvin.” “I know– I know that this isn’t professional..” “I don’t care about being professional right now, not with you.” Then something shifted in him, you felt it in the air - like your words just broke all of the restraints. His arms wrapped around your waist, moving to sit you on a clearing on one of the lab tables.
“Don’t touch or break anything.” His tone authoritative, he looked over you - as if, if he didn’t keep you in his sights you’d disappear. Silence fell over the two of you, the sound of heaving breaths filling the space - you tentatively bit your lip looking up at him.
Calvin’s tongue flicked over his lips, staring you down as he raised a hand to pull your kissed bottom lip from your teeth - dragging it down until his thumb let go of it. “I want to go down on you.” His blatant request took you by surprise, but the way he was looking at you like an experiment made your stomach flip.
“I I want that too, but you dont need–” You cut yourself off as he moved to kneel on his knees in front of you. He was eager, and he wanted this too, almost more than you. You watched as he rolled up his sleeves, unbuttoning the cuffs - revealing the toned arms you’ve grown to love so much. He looked up at you, his eyes boring into yours as he opened a couple of the top buttons on his shirt. “If you make a mess you clean it.” Calvin looked dead serious as he moved closer to you - hands pushing up your skirt. His fingers gently tracing the patterns of the tights you wore, he muttered a compliment under his breath you couldn’t hear over the beating of your own heart. He made quick work of the buckles on your shoes placing them down neatly beside him, his gaze returning to the tights.
“As much as I love these, I’d much rather have them off." “Mhm–” “Lift your hips.” You complied, lifting your hips off the counter a bit as he started to take off the stretchy fabric. Your discarded tights joined your shoes beside him.
Calvin’s hands then moved over your legs, feeling the soft skin beneath his palms without the covering cloth, his hands were big against your legs, the veins defined as his hands gripped onto the underneath of your thighs - pulling you closer to the edge of the counter.
Calvin then bunched your skirt to your hips, placing a kiss to the top of your knee, then one closer to the inside of your leg, then your thigh - placing a soft bite to the inside of the smooth skin, easing it over with an apology kiss.
The sensation was good on its own, but it was the way his eyes were watching your face the entire time, watching your reactions and what felt good. His large hands returned to your legs, parting your thighs so he could nestle himself further between them. His pointer finger trailed down the edge of your panties, taking note of the way the lace felt under his touch and how your breath hitched in response.
Your hand moved down to cup the side of his face, he moved his head to kiss your palm - his kisses trailing up to the tip of your fingers, taking two of them into his mouth. As the warm heat of his mouth enveloped your fingers, your jaw dropped a bit - lips parted as you watched him suckle them. His eyes hooded and staring into yours made a soft whimper come out of you.
Calvin retracted, your fingers leaving his mouth - he placed a soft kiss to the wet digits before resuming his previous state. He hooked your legs over his shoulders, moving impossibly closer to your core. He placed a kiss to your inner thigh next to your soaked cunt, then another over your clothed slit - earning yet another moan from you.
Long fingers moved aside your laced panties, leaning back onto his calves as he admired the state of you. Kissed lips, the blush creeping up your neck, the way your pussy fluttered around nothing as he examined you like he was about to take you apart, which in a way he was.
Calvin then dove in, not wanting to waste another moment. He licked a stripe all the way from your entrance to your clit, eyes trained on yours the entire time. He took your clit into your mouth, noting how your hands scrambled into his hair - encouraging him further. He rolled the swollen nub between his teeth and tongue, a bit of spit and mixture of your arousal dripping down the side of his mouth.
His mouth then moved down to your entrance, lapping at your arousal like a dog - tongue poking into your heat a bit. Calvin’s nose bumped against your clit, earning a moan from you - your head fell back, colliding with a couple beakers, making them clatter against each other from the force.
Calvin’s voice was muffled against your pussy but you could still hear him and feel the vibrations, “What did I say?” “S-Sorry..” You placed a hand over your mouth being reminded that you were in a public space, and as Calvin continued his rhythm without faltering, your hands tightened in his neatly combed hair but he didn’t care, not in the slightest.
Calvin continued to lap at your cunt, tongue picking up any arousal that poured out of you - his mouth then placed a couple kisses to your inner thigh, moving back onto his calves again. Then you noticed the sheer amount of slick and spit that coated his mouth, chin and tip of his nose, a small whimper extracted from you. His tongue darted out to wet his lips, tasting you on him - earning a small groan from him.
His fingers moved to your pussy, the coldness of them a stark contrast to your aching, hot core. Calvin’s middle and pointer fingers pulled back your folds, revealing you completely to him - watching as your core clenched around nothing. “Don’t worry, sweet girl. I’ll let you cum.” He moved back in, his pace increasing tenfold, eager to make you cum on his tongue. Your hands weaved themselves back into his hair, tugging at the roots - making him groan softly against you. His hands moved to the undersides of your thighs, moving them further apart.
You felt that coil tighten in your stomach, “Calvin– I- I’m gonna..” But Calvin didn't say a word, his eyes trained on your face eager for your reaction as he moved his tongue faster against your weeping cunt.
Your heels dug into his back as your orgasm overcame you, your moans bouncing off the walls. You didn’t care if people heard you at this point. Calvin held you through it - not letting up with his tongue until you were pushing at his shoulders from overstimulation.
Calvin moved back, the only sound in the room being both of your heaving breaths, Calvin wiped your slick from his face - gently pulling your panties back overtop your core, placing a kiss to your thigh before pulling your skirt back down your body. He eventually rose from his spot, running a hand through his tugged tugged hair.
Calvin then let out a frustrated sigh as he looked down at himself. “Now my pants are all scuffed--"Calvin mumbled, wiping off some of the dust from the floor that made its way onto the knees of his pants. You were watching him the entire time, breath still heaving, then you grew bored. You placed a hand to the side of Calvins face, tilting his head back to yours. Your other hand moved to his arm, pulling him into another heated kiss. You tasted yourself on his lips but you didn’t care, and he didn’t seem to care about his pants all that much anymore.
– – – – – – – –
The next day, you came into work earlier than you usually did and took more time that morning doing your hair and makeup, not really thinking that Calvin would notice that much, but he was observant and it doesn’t hurt to feel prettier than usual for a day. You walked into your lab first, setting down your things - noticing how the scientists just stared at you, sharing laughs and whispers. “More dolled up than you usually are Lab Tech, any reason why?” “Any scientists you’re trying to impress?” “Anyone need supplies from Evans’ office?”
And you just stood there, staring at them all - and you wondered if Calvin told them about what you did, but Calvin wouldn’t do that. He wasn’t the type and he openly says that he doesn’t talk to these idiots anyways, but you still worry and you still spiral. Maybe someone heard something? Or maybe people just started talking again because both you and Calvin walked out of this very lab you were in, in a hurry. Or maybe people heard you, that would be the most obvious one.
You needed to find Calvin, and fast. Ask him to explain everything and tell you that it was all a misunderstanding and it was all under control, give you some peace of mind. You walked out of the lab, ignoring the hoots and whistles as you did. You beelined for Calvin’s lab, but as you were walking down the hallway - you saw Calvin walking down the same one from the opposite way, then he caught sight of you, stepping back for a moment before returning the same way he came from. You were lost and confused, was he ignoring you? Was this all a ploy to get you fired? What was he doing? You had so many questions yet no answers, you then felt a hand on your shoulder - you quickly turned around, shrugging it off. It was Fran, her voice quiet and almost mocking as you saw the slight smirk on her face and the enjoyment radiating off of her, “Dr. Donatti needs to see you right now, hun. He says it’s important.” “Yeah… I’ll be there in a minute, I just need to-” “He said now, not in a minute.”
You let you a sigh, walking down the hallway to Dr. Donatti’s office. People stared at you and whispered, and you just had to stay there and take it.
“We’ve heard things of a relationship that is evolving between you and Dr. Calvin, a romantic relationship between a lab tech and a chemist is against our policy and promotes an uncomfortable workspace.” You shifted in your seat a bit, “We’re not together, Dr. Donatti. I can promise you that, it’s just rumours.” It was true for the most part, you and Calvin never actually confirmed anything, just had a hookup, whether that hookup was meaningless or not was still up in the air.
“Even if they’re just rumours, we cannot risk our reputation here. Fran will help you pack your things, I’ll give you a few days to say your goodbyes.” “What?-- n-no, you can’t do that. I’ve worked so hard for this job, for you.” “You’re just a lab tech, you can be easily replaced, sweetheart.” That pet name made your blood boil, you stood up. “Is Calvin getting fired?” “No, he’s a chemist.” “If you’re firing me for committing what you propose, you should fire him too, he committed to it as much as I did.” “So you admit, there is something going on between you and Dr. Evans?” “That’s– that’s besides the point, you’re being unfair. You’re being subjective and sexist.”
Donatti also stood up, “What gives you the authority to speak to me with such a tone, proclaiming I’m sexist for wanting to protect Hasting’s reputation.” “And you’re proclaiming that rumours about me that for the majority aren’t true are justifiable enough to fire me.”
Dr. Donatti hesitated, “Y..You–” He fell silent for a moment, “I’ll talk to the board about.. reconsidering your termination.” You can tell he was apprehensive saying that. You didn’t say anything in return, you didn’t say thank you - grabbing your things and leaving his office. You were going to find Calvin and you were going to speak to him, if it was the last thing you did at this job. Stalking towards his lab, your eyes stung and it felt like the world was staring at you, you made your way to the familiar door, hand grabbing the handle.

The Evolution of Flutter Development: Trends and Innovations
Tumblr media
The field of mobile application development is constantly changing, and Flutter has become an excellent framework to create beautiful and reliable cross-platform apps. Flutter app development services are becoming more popular as companies look for efficient and cost-effective solutions. This is because they can develop solid apps for both iOS and Android platforms with a single codebase. To build a high-quality Flutter app, it is essential to hire a dedicated Flutter developer.
Flutter App Development Services
Flutter has become a popular framework for developing cross-platform apps and has gained much popularity. Its current status reflects its rising popularity and the benefits it provides to companies and developers alike. Let’s examine the main features that define Flutter app development services as they stand now.
Summary of Flutter’s benefits and features
1. Single codebase: With Flutter, developers can write code only once and run on several platforms, such as desktop, web, iOS, and Android.
2. Hot Reload: This Flutter feature speeds up the mobile app development process and increases productivity by enabling programmers to make changes to the code in real time and see the results instantly.
3. Rich user interface: Flutter gives app developers the ability to create aesthetically pleasing and engaging user interfaces by providing a wide range of customizable widgets and pixel-perfect UI designs.
4. Excellent performance: Skia, the core engine of Flutter, enables fluid animations and quick rendering, making apps snappy and responsive.
Flutter App Development Trends in 2023-24
Tumblr media
1. Integration with AR and VR
Cross-platform app development is made possible by Flutter, so developers would take full use of this by combining it with other technologies, such as AR and VR. Flutter may offer mobile apps for iOS and Android for mobile AR/VR experiences.
Artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) together can offer an effortless experience for users. These days, Flutter is the best option for apps integrating AR and VR.
2. Flutter with MVP Development
MVPs, or minimum viable products, are applications with limited features and functionality. Flutter is better choice for MVP development. They are made to be a simple version to determine the viability and concept of the product. The framework provided by Flutter may be the best option for developing MVPs.
As Flutter has a single codebase, coders may create applications that run on several platforms. As a result, developing mobile apps with Flutter takes much less time and effort. The customizable widget Flutter offers ensures quality irrespective of the device and provides a consistent user experience across multiple platforms.
3. Increased Utilization of Machine Learning
The top technology in 2023 for mobile app development is machine learning. With its range of ML libraries and packages, Flutter offers devs the ability to integrate machine learning into their applications.
With machine learning, the software can continuously examine human behavior and develop practical algorithms. Without requiring extensive input from the user, programmers can implement data-driven behavior in apps to provide them with satisfactory outcomes.
4. Rise of Cloud Computing
Massive data storage and access are now relatively simple because of cloud computing. Users can access their data anytime and from any location with the latest mobile app development trends. Flutter uses this technology for computing, storage, and other features.
Because of its many features, most consumers prefer cloud computing, and as a result, the app development business has seen some trending toward it. These Flutter trends are crucial for developing feature-rich, top-notch apps that can be improved over time.
5. Implementation of Blockchain Technology
With blockchain technology gaining popularity, many developers are trying to figure out how to integrate it into their applications. Flutter will give programmers a framework for integrating blockchain technology.
With this technology, developers can create decentralized apps (dApps) that benefit from the immutability, transparency, and security of blockchain technology. The use of blockchain will significantly impact app security.
6. Focus on Wearable Tech
Fitness trackers and smartwatches are examples of wearable technology that is becoming more and more popular. Flutter would enable the development of wearable apps that work with Android smartphones.
A flawless cross-platform user experience can be achieved with Flutter without any issues. Flutter can offer apps with various shapes and sizes an appealing user interface. The ability of Flutter to work on cross platforms is essential for developing productive and affordable apps for smartwatches and similar devices. While wearable app development is still in its early stages, the foundation has already been done.
7. Expanded IoT Capabilities
The idea behind IoT, or the Internet of Things, is to link commonplace appliances—like a refrigerator, microwave, and car—to the Internet. Flutter can assist in developing new apps with remote device control and monitoring capabilities.
The ability to remotely control more applications, such as ovens and baby monitors, can revolutionize the electronics sector. To help their clients fully utilize the possibilities of the Internet of Things via innovative app development, most well-known Flutter app development services take advantage of this trend.
Tumblr media
Innovations in Flutter Development
Flutter is a cross-platform development framework that has quickly gained popularity due to its ability to create beautiful and reliable apps for Android, iOS, web, and desktop from a single codebase. The Flutter development community is constantly innovating, and new features and capabilities are being added to Flutter all the time.
Some of the latest innovations in Flutter development include:
Hot reload: Hot reload is a feature of Flutter that allows developers to see changes to their code reflected in the app immediately. Hot reload significantly accelerates and simplifies the development and debugging of Flutter apps.
Dart programming language: Dart is a modern programming language that is designed for developing Flutter apps. Dart is easy to learn and use, and it provides several features that make it well-suited for developing UIs, such as a rich set of widgets and a declarative programming paradigm.
Flutter engine: The Flutter engine is a cross-platform runtime that renders Flutter apps. The Flutter engine is written in C++, and it is optimized for performance and efficiency.
WebAssembly: Flutter apps can now be compiled to WebAssembly, meaning they can run in the browser without plugins. This makes it possible to develop Flutter apps for web and mobile platforms using the same codebase.
Firebase: Flutter integrates seamlessly with Firebase, a Google platform that provides a wide range of services for mobile and web development, such as authentication, database storage, and real-time analytics.
Flutter desktop: Flutter can now be used to develop desktop apps for Windows, macOS, and Linux. This makes it possible to create Flutter apps for all major platforms using the same codebase.
As Flutter continues to grow and evolve, we expect to see even more innovative and exciting apps developed using Flutter.
Conclusion
Flutter has proven to be a very cost-effective and high-quality tool for app development. It’s critical to monitor these developments to determine when it’s appropriate to take advantage of their potential. It is more crucial than ever to collaborate with a leading Flutter app development company in the US as the platform’s popularity grows.

wsp with you—part two
pairing: walker & teen!actor
warnings: none <333
Tumblr media
you stared at your phone like it had personally betrayed you. where were the spies on your phone? they should’ve not let this reach your eyes.
walk💙
we gonna talk about this or what?
or what!! that was your choice. there was no way you could face him like this. your face was akin to a roasted tomato and the amount of energy flurrying in your chest was enough to power a neighbourhood at christmas time.
so instead, you did what any spiralling girl would and called your best friend from home. you would’ve loved to talk about this with leah but she was too close to the action, she had been plotting on this for months and you needed some real advice.
with trembling hands you pressed on the facetime button like your life depended on it and waited for scarlet to answer.
when she did you let out the scream you had been holding in, “oh my god!” you said, raking a hand through your hair in an attempt to busy yourself. “oh my GOD!”
scarlet held her hands to her ears, your shriek obviously not what she was expecting. “why are you screaming?” she yelled back, eyes wide with terror. “you either got hit by a car or something happened with walker.”
“he texted me,” you sighed, voice lowered to a normal human level as you flopped back dramatically on your bed. “like, full sentence and grammar. ‘we gonna talk or what?’ who does he think he is, a lead in a romcom?”
she gasps, a smirk making its way onto her face even though she had no idea what they were going to talk about. “right. and to make sure i’m crystal clear here. what the fuck do you have to talk about?”
“oh you haven’t seen it? well y’know that trend that’s like ‘they say shooters shoot. duke dennis what’s up with you?’ well…i may have done something.”
“you didn’t!” she cackled, falling back into her own bed in a fit of laughter. “oh my god, y/n, that’s priceless.”
you whined. “it is so not funny. what if what he wants to talk about is that i overstepped our boundaries and i shouldn’t have made that post.”
that was what you were really scared about. you and walker had developed a true ‘platonic’ relationship and you didn’t want to ruin it because of a stupid tiktok trend that would disappear in a few days. god why did you always ruin everything?
“i’ve just looked at the post and to me it looks like he said, and i quote. “oh. bet?” does that really mean nothing to you y/n l/n?” scarlet inquired, her eyebrow raised halfway to her forehead with a look of disbelief. “god you always were oblivious,” she joked.
but you couldn’t even hear her any more because a notification at the top of your phone read his name.
“babe?” scarlet questioned, eyebrows drawn together. “you’ve gone deadly pale. what have you done this time?”
you dropped your phone from your hands, watching helplessly as it bounced on the bed. “he texted me. again,” you whispered. “oh my god what do i do? do i pretend i’ve fallen off my balcony?”
your best friend shook her head, pursing her lips as she thought. “no. first you’re going to read me this new message and then i’ll help you find a new name and you can fly to mexico, okay?”
you nodded wordlessly, as you exited the facetime app and clicked on you and walker’s thread again. “i’m scared to look what if he hates me now?”
“this is walker we’re talking about. you could kill his dog and he’d forgive you.”
nonetheless, you bit on your lip, eyes shut as you fought for the courage to open them. this was scary. you had never had this reaction to a boy before. was this really what having a crush felt like? “okay i’m ready,” you finally whispered, eyes fluttering open as you took in his message.
walk💙
hey i’m not trying to freak you out. just wanted to talk. maybe not on the internet. fuck can i call you, y/n?
”he said what?” scarlet choked out, clutching her blanket like it was the last thing tethering her to earth. yeah, now she gets how you feel.
you stared at the screen your voice a half-whisper as you repeated his virtual words. scarlet screamed. you didn’t blame her.
“HE SAID FUCK, like a casual swear? he’s giving boy who’s nervous but trying to play it cool.”
“yes!!” you whisper-yelled, very aware that anything to loud would alert your little sister and bring chaos. you paced the room, massaging your temples. “he swore and then said my name! that’s so hot, why does that sound so hot?”
“because you like him,” scarlet said simply, “and because he clearly likes you back. he wants to talk to you. like about real shit. oh my god this is happening. this is happening!”
you let out a panicked literal squeak. “i can’t. i literally can’t do this.”
“you can,” she said, firm and composed, acting like she was your life coach. “you’re gonna hang up this call and then you’re gonna call him and you’re gonna be normal.”
“i don’t know how to be normal?!”
“figure it out,” she yelled back. “you’re hot and funny and charming. go get your man. i’ll be here having a heart attack while i wait.”
you laugh, nervous but feeling a little bit better after talking to scarlet. “okay i love you”
“love you more, go!”
you hung up.
your heart was pounding so loud you could hardly hear the dial tone.
but then—it clicked.
”hello?” walker’s smooth voice came through the phone’s speaker, sounding a little panicked himself.
that soothed you a bit.
“hey,” you said, barely above a whisper. “i hope it’s okay i called.”
“of course it is,” he rushed to say, his voice softly firm. “i was kinda staring at my phone waiting for it to ring,” he admitted with a chuckle.
you let out the softest laugh, already overwhelmed. “i’m uh— i just wanted to say i’m sorry.”
“for what?” he sounded genuinely curious.
“for posting that. for dragging you into… all this,” you said, gesturing wildly with your hands even though he couldn’t see. “i didn’t think it’d blow up like that. it was supposed to be funny. just a joke. and i totally get it if you never wanna talk to me again or if you think i’m—”
“woah,” he cut in gently, “slow down.”
you went fully quiet, your uneven breathing the only sound echoing through the call. “i don’t want you to hate me,” you whispered, voice shaking.
“of course not, y/n. i didn’t think anything bad about you, okay?” he said, voice steady. “i wasn’t upset at all. especially not at you. i was just…caught off guard i guess. you know i love being dragged into your messes.”
you blinked. “oh.”
he laughed softly, like he was nervous too. “it’s not a bad thing. it’s just—it felt like when you posted that my whole world flipped.”
your heart clenched. in a good way or a bad way you were still unsure.
“i’ve been trying to find the right way to say this for a while now but nothing ever seemed perfect enough for you. i didn’t know if you’d ever see me that way or if i was just this dumb guy who pulled faces at interviews while you sat there being gorgeous, laughing at me while being so ridiculously talented. ”
“walker—“ you murmured, or at least tried to.
“no just…please let me get this out. i’m not good at expressing my emotions and this is scaring the shit out of me, but i need to. you don’t know how many times i wanted to tell you, you’re just so perfect and i couldn’t find the right moment. but then you posted that, and i thought maybe, i wasn’t imagining everything all along.”
your whole body went still, frozen in shock. but your words moved before your normally overthinking brain. “you weren’t,” you started softly, “imagining things. god—i’ve liked you for ages. i just didn’t think you’d feel the same.
“are you serious?” he breathed.
“yes walker. i like you, like, really like you.”
he let out this laugh from the back of his throat—disbelieving and warm and happy. “this feels fake. like i’m gonna wake up.”
“you’re not dreaming,” you said, smiling so hard your cheeks ached. “unless i’m dreaming too.”
another pause. a little silence. but it was the good kind. the kind where you both knew everything had changed, and it wasn’t scary—it was perfect.
“so,” walker said, voice a little shy now, “can i see you? like… not through a screen?”
you laughed, giddy. “yeah. i’d really like that.”
“cool,” he said, and you could hear the grin in his voice. “guess the shooter did score.”
“guess so, huh?” you giggled, biting your bottom lip.

Best dressed couple
Fluffy workplace romance as a clothing designer with your crush Asahi for my workplace romance event <3
requested by @screamin-abt-haikyuu. word count; 718 – gn!reader
Tumblr media
For Paris Fashion Week, you’re stationed as an assistant with other aspiring designers, one of them being Asahi Azumane. You applied for the position with an amazing portfolio and went into this with unwavering ambition and trust in your creative skills. Still, in the preparations for the event, you were simply bound to develop a crush on sweet Asahi Azumane.
Come the first day of fashion week, you prepared in the best way you knew how: By dressing really well. You ensured your outfit for the first day was on point, using the elements you knew were put on the map for this season. As an assistant, you ride the trend wave that your designer created.
You had spent countless evenings with Asahi the past weeks leading up to the event, and you were prepared to make sure he fell for you too, asking him to meet up on the way to the first event.
Imagine the fluster when the two of you wore perfect colour- and texture-coordinated outfits. You’re both staring at each other for a solid minute, taking in and admiring the other’s sense of style. “You look amazing,” you said, grinning before looking down at your outfit.
“Took the words right out of my mouth,” he chuckled. You did an awkward half-spin and thanked him.
“It seems we’re matching.” Asahi’s cheeks were flushed red, so you matched in more than one way.
“Great minds, am I right?” You tried to stay cheeky about it, but couldn’t help the small giggle as you turned in the direction you were headed. “Let’s go?”
As you started entering the more populated area, there were street photographers around every corner and some would ask to take pictures of you and Asahi. You’d nod and awkwardly stand closer to each other, one holding a peace sign while the other put their hands behind their back. It got better and better, but you were still trying to dodge the fact that you looked like a couple.
However, it got difficult when you entered the event for the fashion show and were led towards the little red carpet entrance. There were tons of designers in attendance, and as you both looked on wide-eyed, you grabbed Asahi’s hand nervously. Despite being confident in your style, you were more used to working behind the scenes.
Asahi looked at you, first in surprise, then with something softer as he intertwined your fingers and squeezed for comfort. That’s a defining moment in this story because the carpet manager took one look at you and separated you from the other assistants.
“Couple going on in three, two- go, go, go!” And then she pushed the two of you out in front of the cameras while you frantically tried denying the allegations.
It took a second, but the designer instincts finally took over. You didn’t put on such a banger outfit to not pose confidently for the photos.
Your eyes met again, and you nodded while he seemed to take a deep breath, before you both confidently strutted to the first stopping point. Asahi’s hand let go of yours and snuck across your back, settling on your hip while you turned towards him and smiled warmly.
It was quite a success. The photos of you two blew up on the internet, always paired with the hashtag BestDressedCouple. You spent all of dinner with some friends looking through the different social media and liking people’s posts from your private account. Reading how everyone thought you were goals and looked so in love made your stomach flutter with butterflies.
By the time you were all meeting up with the designer in the evening to prepare for the next day, you got to Twitter. You giggled at one where you were laughing and Asahi looked at you, imagining that he gave you heart-eyes.
“We’re on Twitter, too? I’m still on Instagram,” someone said softly. You looked up at Asahi in alert before huffing and turning your phone off, pocketing it.
“I should have done one more necklace,” you reflected, embarrassed he caught you giggling at the photos, but also wondering if he actually had looked through all the ones on Instagram.
Asahi shrugged, loosely tracing patterns on his palm with his finger. “You looked stunning. The pictures don’t do you justice.”
masterlist
for the requester: thank you so much for requesting, I hope you enjoy this fic! have a very nice day<3

Note
may i ask for dandys world headcanons. like so many
hello anon.you dont know what youve asked me
-coal is naturally very warm. shes a hot coal in my design and has little heat patterns :-]
-the stringy tail i gave sprout in my design can bloom into a long bush overtime, stretching up to 15 feet long. from the bush can grow ichor strawberries, which he can pick and seemingly magically transform into cupcakes for his ability [i didnt know how to implement tapes into his ability usage so i just equated tapes to time passing]
-i said this before in the dandys world hcs blog before i became a mod there but rocks [as in pebble and coal] are their own species, rather than being the dandys world equivalent of dogs. regular animala do exist, sapient or not [as proved by rudie and toodles' dog plush trinket], pet rocks are just a separate species that mimicks traits and behaviours from other animals, almost exclusively domesticated animals. dogs and cats are the most common pet rocks, but there have been instances where a pet rock has had rabbit, tortoise, and bird traits, though these are extremely rare. pet rocks that minick animals with fur/feathers also have the chance to grow moss, snow or other materials on their body as a replacement or mimick. for example, my pebble design has moss as fur, based off the loyal bud skin, and my coal design has snow with specks of ash, since shes a lump of coal. these can overgrow and be trimemd safely, but completely shaving off material fur is highly discouraged as it can be painful for the pet rock, and they usually develop such traits to handle their environment better [for example, coal's snow fur helps her be used to cold temperatures and not overheat]
-bit of a joke hc based off the last one and also that one trend: Rock Lobsters Exist. the lore for them is that people wanted more exotic animals as pet rocks so they started selectively breeding and altering the genetics of some pet rocks and ended up getting lobsters. they are Very aggressive however and do not make good pets, now theyre an invasive species
-flutter is actually a moth but since butterflies are more universally liked the creators of the show just decided "nah shes a butterfly trust"
-tisha has the most impeccable gaydar out of everyone in gardenview. shes also the most confident in her trans identity [trans woman tisha ily]
-i know a lot of people hc rodgers eye to turn into a mouth when he eats but to me he just.has an invisible mouth. he brings food up to his face and !suddenly theres a bite !! what the fuck !!
-if ginger was allowed to be more than just a christmas toon with a one-dimensional personality she would love skating, this is actually why she has ice skates in my design !! [this is taken from the fact that her running animation kinda looks like shes skating, shoutout to my friend @trophtissuesftw for pointing it out]
-astros favorite treat are enigma candies.he will hoard those thangs and eat like 12 of them in a row.its a bit of a guilty pleasure
-shelly gets very uspet whenever shes on a floor with her twisted version. not because its.yknow. Herself. but because shes "inaccurate to how dinos actually look like"[lack of feathers n stuff] and she will ramble about it the entire floor
-if you try to take an unwanted photo of astro and somehow dont get interrupted by any of the other toons or the handlers the picture will come out Horrifying. like something straight out of analog horror
-shrimpo and finn can both breathe underwater, and astro straight up doesnt need to breathe
-thumbtacks and other sharp objects dont kill or severely harm looey or poppy. theyre just Extremely Uncomfortable. like yk when your foot is asleep. yeah imagine that Around Your Entire Body. it makes them faster yeah but thats the only upside. while poppy's unpleasant feeling is a lot quicker to pass than looey's, hes realized that wearing patches and stuff helps diminish the feeling so that its bearable at least [hence why hes willing to lose a heart or two for the sake of distracting, its not as painful/uncomfortable to him as long as hes wearing those patches]
-goob is actually an amazing chef. like he Locks In if you ask him for some food. his expertise rivals fucking Sprout its insane
-gigi will straight up just.give back something she stole if you just ask for it. shes not malicious about it. unless she has a good reason to Not give it back [like if she stole a camera from a parent that wanted to take a photo of astro]
-teagan is fat and muscular she has 4 star stamina she has some visible muscle trust [im gay about her]
is this good. i have More headcanons.

Chapter Twenty: Ringing The Alarm
The clinic room was peaceful in its own way—muted tones, soft lighting, the kind of quiet that usually comforted Y/N during her routine check-ups. She sat on the crinkling paper of the exam table, one hand resting absently over the swell of her belly, eyes tracing the mobile hanging from the ceiling above the monitor. A paper cutout of a bear floated in slow, lazy circles. Her baby moved faintly beneath her palm.
She smiled, small and calm.
Until the door opened, and Dr. Thomas entered with her usual warmth—but a touch more weight behind her eyes.
“Hi, Y/N,” she greeted, sitting on her stool and rolling a little closer. “Everything with baby looks great—heartbeat’s strong, measurements are right where they should be. But I want to go over your vitals before you leave.”
Y/N’s smile faltered just slightly. “Okay.”
The doctor folded her hands. “Your blood pressure has increased again—slowly, but steadily since your twelve-week appointment. And I want to talk to you about what that might mean moving forward.”
Y/N nodded, her fingers tightening slightly over her belly.
“We’re not in a danger zone yet,” Dr. Thomas reassured her. “But you’re eighteen weeks, and this kind of trend is something we don’t ignore—especially not in a pregnancy with multiple young children at home, and especially given how preeclampsia develops.”
Y/N’s heart gave a quiet flutter. “You think it might be… that?”
Dr. Thomas was honest but gentle. “It’s too early to say. But preeclampsia can begin showing signs with elevated blood pressure. And while it's most commonly diagnosed in the third trimester, we do sometimes see signs earlier. What’s important now is monitoring closely and adjusting anything we can—diet, rest, stress levels.”
Y/N exhaled slowly, nodding again.
“You’ve already got a lot on your plate—young children, a full house, a partner in law enforcement. You’re not doing anything wrong, Y/N,” she added quickly, seeing the guilt flicker in her patient’s eyes. “This isn’t something you cause. But it is something we need to take seriously. If it progresses, it can become dangerous for both you and the baby.”
“What happens if it does?” Y/N asked quietly.
“Depends on how early, how high, and how fast,” the doctor replied. “Sometimes we can manage it with more frequent monitoring and rest. In more serious cases, it can mean hospitalization. We’d talk about that if we had to. But we’re not there now.”
The room was quiet for a moment. The only sound was the faint rhythmic hum of the monitor still tracking her baby’s heartbeat.
Y/N nodded, the information settling like a quiet weight in her chest—not panic, but a deep awareness. “So we take it seriously. We pay attention.”
Dr. Thomas nodded. “Exactly. You don’t have to live in fear. But don’t brush off the signs either. If you get headaches that don’t go away, sudden swelling, or any changes in vision, you call immediately. And let your partner help. I know it’s hard to slow down, especially when you're used to taking care of everyone else. But now, it’s your turn to be looked after, too.”
Y/N offered a smile that didn’t quite reach her eyes—but it was grateful. “Thank you.”
They scheduled an earlier follow-up, and when she walked out into the Montana daylight, the warmth on her face grounded her a little more.
In the car, she sat still for a beat, processing it all. Not spiraling—but aware. And then she called Beau.
“Hey,” he answered on the first ring. “Everything alright?”
“Mostly,” she said. “Baby’s perfect. But my blood pressure’s climbing again.”
There was silence on the other end. Then, his voice low and firm. “What’d they say?”
She relayed it all—Dr. Thomas’s calm but clear explanation, the mention of preeclampsia, the next steps.
Beau didn’t speak for a long moment. When he did, his voice cracked just enough to reveal how tightly he was holding himself together.
“I’m comin’ home,” he said. “I want to be there with you. We’ll make whatever changes we have to. Just… thank you for tellin’ me. For not carrying it alone.”
“I never do,” she said quietly.
And she didn’t.
Because Beau wasn’t just her husband. He was her partner in all of it—the joy, the mess, the fear, the hope. And now, more than ever, they’d lean on that bond.
Together.

Beau’s truck pulled into the driveway barely an hour after Y/N had returned home. She hadn’t expected him to drop everything, but when she heard the crunch of tires on gravel, saw the familiar silhouette through the window—broad shoulders, purposeful stride—her heart cracked open a little with relief.
She stood in the kitchen, a hand resting on the edge of the counter, the other gently curled over the curve of her belly. Caleb sat in his high chair gnawing on a teether, while Eliza knelt on the floor with crayons spread around her like a battlefield of color, narrating a story about a wolf prince and his magical blueberry crown.
Beau stepped through the front door, his eyes finding hers instantly.
He gave her a small, quiet smile—one of those rare ones that said everything he didn’t need to say aloud. She smiled back, her heart thudding soft with love.
“Hey, Daddy!” Eliza chirped without looking up. “You’re home early! Did the crime-fighting wolves send you back for backup?”
Beau crouched beside her and kissed the top of her head. “They sure did. Needed someone strong to help Mama today.”
“I am strong,” Eliza said seriously, flexing both arms. “But I’m also busy making wolf maps.”
“Then I’ll handle the backup part,” Beau said gently, rising and walking to Y/N.
They met at the kitchen island, his hands reaching for her waist, hers finding his shirt like second nature. He leaned in and kissed her cheek, slow and steady, then pulled back just enough to look at her—really look.
“You okay?” he asked softly.
She nodded. “I am now.”
They stood like that for a moment longer before the soft sound of Caleb babbling brought them back to the present. Beau glanced at the kids and lowered his voice.
“Wanna step outside? Just for a minute.”
She nodded again, and they both moved easily, fluidly—two people used to sharing space and weight and life.
Eliza looked up. “Where are you going?”
“Just outside for a minute, sweetheart,” Y/N said. “You keep working on that map. Daddy and I need to make a plan.”
“A plan for what?”
“For making sure things stay peaceful in the kitchen,” Beau said with a wink.
“Tell the wolves I said hi,” she called after them.
They stepped onto the porch, the door clicking softly behind them. The wind was cool and gentle, brushing across the yard in slow, sweeping breaths.
Beau turned to her, his hand resting over hers on the railing. “Tell me everything. I want to hear it from you.”
So she did—again. Slower this time, more measured. She told him about the rise in blood pressure, the doctor’s concern, the explanation of preeclampsia, the plan for closer monitoring. She repeated Dr. Thomas’s gentle warning about rest, about stress, about slowing down.
And Beau listened, every line in his face drawn tight with focus.
When she finished, he pulled her in again, his hand cradling the back of her head as he pressed a kiss there.
“I hate that I wasn’t there,” he murmured. “But I’m here now. And I’m not going anywhere.”
“I know,” she said, tucking her face into his chest. “I didn’t want to scare you.”
“You didn’t,” he said. “You just reminded me how much I love you. And how damn hard I’ll fight to keep you safe.”
They stood like that a moment longer—quiet, close, anchored.
Then Beau exhaled and gently pulled back. “Alright. We keep things calm. Keep meals easy. You stay off your feet when you can. I’ll handle more with the kids. We do this smart.”
Y/N looked up at him, warmth blooming in her chest. “We already do.”
Inside, Eliza’s voice echoed faintly—something about a crown that needed polishing.
They both smiled, then slipped back into the house, side by side, ready to keep walking forward.
Together.
Tumblr media
That evening, after the children were in bed and the house had grown still, Beau stood alone in the kitchen, leaning against the counter with a notepad in hand and the weight of the day quietly settled on his shoulders.
The porch light cast long shadows across the floor, and in the hush that followed bedtime lullabies and sleepy whispers, he let himself think—really think—about what Y/N needed, and how he could give it to her without her feeling like the world had shifted too much beneath her feet.
She wouldn’t ask him to change anything. He knew that. She’d downplay the pressure, the fatigue, the slow increase in blood pressure as just another hurdle. That was who she was—steady, resilient, fiercely protective of the normal, even when it cost her everything.
But Beau had seen the flicker of concern in her eyes, the way her hand hovered just a little longer over her belly when she didn’t think anyone was watching.
And that was enough.
He jotted a few notes on the pad—meals he could prep ahead, errands he could handle before coming home from work. He could swap a couple of his longer patrol days with Carter or Jenny, maybe shift his hours just a little. He didn’t need to explain everything—just say it was a family adjustment.
Because it was.
He’d make it work.
He had to.
He opened a cabinet and started pulling down ingredients—nothing elaborate. Just what he needed to prep tomorrow’s dinner in advance. Something warm and easy to reheat. Maybe some soup and roasted vegetables. Comfort food without the work.
He moved quietly, setting things aside, scribbling a grocery list as he went. They had a babysitter for the day after tomorrow—he’d use the time to stock up on meals he could freeze. That way Y/N wouldn’t have to cook unless she wanted to.
He’d even thought about bringing Margaret back for a few days—but not just yet. Not unless Y/N asked. He didn’t want to take away her independence. He just wanted to support it.
After he finished, he rinsed the cutting board and wiped down the counter, the sound of water soft and steady in the sink.
Then he padded down the hall to check on the kids—Caleb fast asleep with one arm flung out, Eliza curled around her favorite plush. He adjusted their blankets, kissed their foreheads, and returned to the bedroom where Y/N lay curled on her side, half-asleep, the softest smile on her lips as she stirred at the sound of his entrance.
“You okay?” she murmured, barely lifting her head.
“Yeah,” he said, stripping down to his T-shirt and boxers before sliding in beside her. “Just made a few notes. Gonna make the next few weeks easier on you.”
“You’re already doing so much,” she whispered, her eyes fluttering closed again.
Beau slid his arm around her waist, pulling her close until her back fit perfectly against his chest. “I love you,” he said into her hair. “And I’m gonna take care of you, whether you’re carrying a baby or just carrying the whole family like you always do.”
She gave a soft sound of gratitude, her hand finding his and lacing their fingers together.
And as the silence folded around them again, Beau let his plans settle deep into his bones—not grand gestures, not dramatic shifts.
Just love.
One steady, quiet adjustment at a time.
Tumblr media
The next morning came gently.
No shrieks. No banging of sippy cups or declarations of wolf patrols. Just light filtering through the curtains, soft and golden, the kind that always made the world feel slower, easier.
Beau stirred first.
His arm was already around Y/N, tucked beneath the swell of her belly where it rested naturally in the crook of her side. Her back was warm against his chest, her breaths deep and even, her hair spilling over the pillow in a dark wave. He didn’t move, not yet. He just stayed there, listening to the rhythm of her breathing and the faint, muffled cooing of doves outside the window.
This—this—was what he fought for. The stillness before the noise. The peace that came from knowing she was beside him, safe, warm, alive with the kind of love he still couldn’t fully wrap his hands around.
Y/N shifted slightly, her hand moving to rest over his. “You’re awake.”
“Didn’t want to be,” he murmured, pressing a kiss to the curve of her shoulder. “But I couldn’t stop watching you sleep.”
She turned a little, just enough to see his face in the soft light. “That’s a little creepy, Sheriff.”
He chuckled, eyes crinkling with affection. “The sweetest kind.”
Her smile was slow, tired but real. “Sleep okay?”
“With you? Always.” He moved closer, his hand spreading gently over her bump. “How’re you feelin’ this morning?”
She paused a moment, thoughtful. “Tired. But okay.”
Beau watched her closely. “Really okay?”
Y/N met his gaze, searching it. “I know you’re worried.”
“Damn right I am.”
She sighed, resting her forehead to his. “I don’t want to be treated like I’m breakable.”
“You’re not,” he said softly. “But you’re carryin’ our baby. And I’ve already got two little wild things out there who look up to you like you hung the moon. I can’t—won’t—risk anything happenin’ to you.”
She kissed him then, quiet and slow. “I know.”
He kissed her back with a kind of ache, the kind that only comes from loving someone so deeply it stretches through your bones.
“Then let me take a little more off your plate,” he said against her lips. “Let me handle the grocery runs. The messes. I’ve got a few deputies who owe me favors. And I can move things around with the babysitter for your next appointment.”
Y/N blinked, the words settling slowly in her chest. “You already started planning?”
“I did,” he admitted. “Last night. Just little things. Just so you don’t have to keep holding it all.”
Her eyes shimmered as she whispered, “You’re a good man, Beau Arlen.”
“No,” he murmured, brushing her hair back. “I’m just a man who got lucky enough to love you. And smart enough to not take that for granted.”
She pulled him closer, curling into his warmth. “I love you.”
“I know.” His voice was low, tender. “But I’ll never get tired of hearing it.”
The rest of the house began to stir—the soft thud of little feet, the giggle of a baby, the faint clang of something being knocked over.
Beau sighed. “That’ll be our wolves.”
Y/N laughed softly, already reaching for the blankets. “Back to the real world.”
He kissed her once more before they sat up—two parents, two partners, two people trying to love each other better than the day before.
And with a smile passed between them, they rose—ready to meet the noise and joy and mess of another day.
Together.
Tumblr media
Beau had always been good at reading people.
It came with the job—years of watching body language, listening between the lines, understanding when someone said they were fine but meant anything but. But that skill had only sharpened when it came to Y/N.
He’d known the moment she said “I’m okay” yesterday that she was holding back a little. That she didn’t want to worry him. That she didn’t want to need help.
So now, he was going to help in the way she’d accept—quietly. Steadily. Without making a show of it.
After morning breakfast wrangling and wolf patrol storytelling courtesy of Eliza, Beau kissed his wife softly and headed out the door. He paused with one hand on the knob, looking back.
“Call me if you need anything,” he said.
“I will.”
“You mean it?”
Y/N gave him a look. “Beau.”
He grinned and stepped outside, the door clicking softly behind him.
The day at the department started early, as always. But Beau had arrived an hour ahead of the others. He dropped his bag behind his desk and pulled out the notepad he’d scribbled on the night before.
The first thing he did was place a call to the babysitter they trusted most—the one who knew Eliza’s “wolf rules” and Caleb’s dramatic snack preferences.
“Think you can help out a little more this week?” Beau asked. “Just a few hours, every couple days. Give Y/N a breather.”
The sitter agreed in a heartbeat.
Next, he popped into Doris’s office. She glanced up from her computer, instantly suspicious. “You’re about to ask me for something.”
“I need to swap shifts with Carter next Friday,” Beau said, leaning against the doorway. “Y/N has a follow-up appointment. I want to be there.”
Doris nodded, tapping it into the calendar without question. “Anything else, or just being a responsible husband?”
He smiled faintly. “Both.”
Jenny found him an hour later in the break room, mid-coffee refill.
“You’re in early,” she noted. “Trying to impress someone?”
Beau shrugged. “Got a lot on my plate. Needed the head start.”
She studied him a beat longer, then her tone softened. “How’s Y/N?”
“She’s okay,” he said. “Baby’s okay. But her blood pressure’s creeping up. They’re watching it close. I’m just… trying to make sure I don’t let her carry more than she has to.”
Jenny handed him a new pen from her jacket pocket—one of the good ones. “You’re already doing that just by showing up.”
Back in his office, Beau cleared his schedule as much as he could, pushed unnecessary meetings off his plate, and coordinated with Carter about taking a few patrols off his hands.
By lunch, his notebook had turned into a list of meals to prep, chores to knock out, and quiet plans to give Y/N more space to breathe.
Because she deserved more than just his love.
She deserved his presence. His effort. His partnership.
When Beau pulled into the driveway later that day—an armful of groceries balanced at his side, a bouquet of soft yellow daisies tucked between them—he felt the same weightless peace he always did when he saw that front porch.
Inside was the reason for everything.
And with every adjustment, every shift of his time and his energy, he was telling her without words—
I’ve got you. I always will.
Tumblr media
The house was quieter than usual, but not silent. Eliza was in the living room, her latest wolf council meeting currently held between two plushies and a stack of crayons, while Caleb napped in his crib—miraculously, without protest.
Y/N sat at the kitchen table, hands wrapped around a cup of chamomile tea she hadn’t reheated for once, eyes skimming across the list Beau had left stuck to the fridge that morning.
It was simple. Just a few bullet points scribbled in his familiar, careful hand:
Dinner ideas for the week
Babysitter confirmed for Thursday & Saturday
Eliza’s pre-K forms printed—on my desk
You come first. Let me carry more. I love you.
She blinked at the last line, the words catching somewhere low in her throat.
God, he loved her well.
And it wasn’t just the sweeping gestures or whispered I love yous in bed. It was in the way he noticed when she was too tired to finish folding laundry. In how he picked up more diapers without being asked. In how he spoke with calm certainty when she told him about her rising blood pressure—no panic, just quiet resolve.
This was the man she’d built a life with.
And right now, she was trying—really trying—to let him help her without guilt.
So she let herself slow down.
After breakfast, she’d watched cartoons with Eliza, curled on the couch with her daughter tucked under her arm, both of them munching toast. They’d read two full stories, one of which Eliza insisted she read to Y/N—her words jumbled and mispronounced, but her pride clear.
“You’re resting because the new baby’s growing fast,” Eliza had said matter-of-factly, brushing a crumb from Y/N’s shirt. “It’s okay if you don’t do everything.”
Y/N had smiled and kissed her forehead. “Where’d you learn that?”
“Daddy said it when you were brushing your teeth last night.”
Now, in the quiet that followed, Y/N stood from the table and moved slowly, easing herself into one of the armchairs by the window. She’d resisted resting for rest’s sake, always finding something else that needed to be done. But today—today she listened.
She put her feet up.
She read a few pages of a book.
She closed her eyes for a minute when the sun hit the chair just right.
And when Caleb’s monitor finally crackled to life, she stretched, stood, and moved to his room with the ease of a mother who knew the steps by heart—but with the gentle calm of someone who was finally letting herself breathe.
She scooped him up, nuzzled his cheek, and held him just a moment longer than she had to.
Because this life was beautiful.
Messy. Complicated. Precious.
And for the first time in a while, she felt it fully—without the rush.
Tumblr media
Y/N was just finishing wiping down Caleb’s tray after a late afternoon snack—a few abandoned blueberries still clinging to the edge—when she heard the sound of tires on the gravel outside. The familiar engine hum settled into silence, and her breath caught gently in her chest.
She didn’t expect him home yet. Not this early.
A moment later, the front door eased open.
“Hey,” Beau called softly, as if sensing the quiet rhythm of the house and not wanting to disturb it.
Y/N peeked around the corner, Caleb perched on her hip. Eliza popped her head out from behind the couch with a crayon in her hair and glitter stuck to her elbow.
“You’re home,” Y/N said, a smile tugging at the corners of her mouth.
“Surprise,” Beau replied, stepping fully inside. He looked warm and wind-kissed, the faintest line of weariness around his eyes—but something in his expression was brighter. Lighter. “I shuffled things around. Didn’t make sense to stay when I could be here.”
In one hand, he held a brown paper grocery bag. In the other, a small bouquet of soft yellow daisies.
Y/N blinked, touched.
He walked up, kissed her on the cheek, then turned to Caleb. “Hey, buddy,” he murmured, giving his son’s round belly a gentle pat. Caleb responded with a delighted squeal and immediately tried to grab the daisies.
“These are for your mama,” Beau said, handing them to Y/N.
“They’re beautiful,” she said softly, brushing her fingers along the petals. “You didn’t have to—”
“I wanted to,” he said. “You don’t have to earn rest or softness, Y/N. You deserve it.”
He leaned in and kissed her again, this time lingering a little longer. Then, setting down the groceries, he turned toward Eliza, who had now crept into the kitchen with a suspicious look in her eyes.
“What’s all that?” she asked, pointing to the bag.
“Provisions,” Beau said seriously. “We’ve got soup, fresh bread, a chocolate treat and the ingredients for pancakes tomorrow morning.”
Eliza gasped. “That’s pack celebration food!”
Beau winked. “Exactly.”
He moved with familiar grace through the kitchen—putting the bread away, sliding the soup into the fridge, placing a wrapped chocolate bar high enough that Eliza wouldn’t find it until he handed it over himself. And Y/N stood there, hand on her belly, watching him in quiet wonder.
He had always been good at loving her in the ways that mattered most.
“I made a few more adjustments today,” he said casually as he unpacked. “Shift changes. Babysitter’s lined up through the week. Got the grocery list settled for the next few days, and I’ll take over dinner tomorrow.”
Y/N stepped forward, laying a hand on his arm. “Beau.”
He paused.
“You’re not just helping,” she said quietly. “You’re holding us all together. And I see it. I feel it.”
He looked at her then—soft, full—and pressed his forehead to hers. “I’m not doing anything more than what you deserve.”
She kissed him again, then pressed Caleb gently into his arms.
“Take this one. He’s been climbing furniture since his nap.”
Beau grinned. “A wild little wolf, huh?”
“The wildest.”
As he moved toward the living room with Caleb tucked against him and Eliza trailing close behind asking questions about pancakes, Y/N gathered the daisies in a jar and set them on the kitchen windowsill. The sun caught the petals just right.
She exhaled slowly.
Loved.
Seen.
And never, ever alone.
Tumblr media
Beau sat on the living room floor, his legs stretched out, a toy firetruck resting against one knee, and Caleb crawling in a wide, clumsy circle between him and Eliza. The room pulsed with that cozy afternoon rhythm—sunlight casting warm stripes across the carpet, Eliza narrating a story about “the great wolf feast,” and Caleb occasionally stopping to examine his own fingers like they were new.
Y/N watched from the nearby couch, curled into the cushions with a cup of lukewarm tea in hand and her other resting lightly on her belly. Her smile was lazy, full of that rare sort of peace that came from watching her world be—wild, sweet, noisy, and perfectly intact.
Caleb, still gripping a rubber spoon, paused in front of Beau and looked up with a big, gummy grin.
“Da!” he chirped, tapping Beau’s knee with the spoon.
Beau grinned back. “That’s right, little man.”
But then—without prompting, without fanfare—Caleb turned toward his sister and pointed, his brows furrowed in concentration.
“Eliza,” Beau said softly, watching.
Caleb nodded once, almost like he’d made a final decision.
“Ee-sa!”
Beau blinked.
Y/N sat up a little straighter.
Eliza gasped, her crayon rolling off the table. “Did he just—he did! He said my name!”
“Ee-sa!” Caleb repeated proudly, bouncing where he sat.
Beau scooped him up with a laugh, lifting him high in the air. “That’s your sister, alright. You know her now, huh?”
Caleb giggled, delighted by the reaction.
Then, as Beau pulled him in close for a hug, the toddler twisted in his arms and looked toward the couch.
His eyes lit up.
“Mama!”
Y/N froze for just a second, her heart catching so completely it made her breath hitch.
Beau turned, still holding Caleb. “What did you say, buddy?”
Caleb grinned, pointing directly at Y/N, his chubby hand waving.
“Mama.”
Y/N’s smile bloomed slowly, eyes glistening as she set her tea aside and rose to her feet. “Oh, sweetheart…”
She walked over, and Beau lowered Caleb into her arms. The little boy curled into her like he belonged there—which, of course, he did—and tucked his face against her shoulder with a happy little sigh.
Eliza clapped like it was a royal announcement. “He knows all of us now! He said Mama and Da and Ee-sa. That means he’s officially pack-certified!”
Y/N laughed softly, tears threatening the edges of her lashes as she kissed Caleb’s cheek. “You’ve got your whole family in your heart now, don’t you, baby boy?”
Beau wrapped an arm around both of them, his other hand reaching for Eliza to pull her in too. And just like that, they were tangled in a warm, laughing, loving heap of limbs and hearts and words that meant everything.
“Mama,” Caleb murmured again, content and sure.
And Y/N closed her eyes, overwhelmed by the beauty of such a small word carrying such a big, beautiful life inside it.
Tumblr media
The scent of rosemary and roasted chicken drifted through the house like an invitation, warm and grounding. Y/N moved through the kitchen at a gentle pace, stirring gravy with one hand, her other resting lightly on the small of her back. Beau hovered close, not hovering in a suffocating way—just present, always ready to step in with a steady hand or a dish towel.
Eliza sat at the dining table, completely engrossed in folding napkins into "wolf scrolls" and assigning each family member an animal title. “Mama,” she said thoughtfully, “you can be the Luna Wolf Queen. Caleb’s the baby Alpha-in-training. And Daddy… you’re the Elder Alpha.”
Beau raised a brow from where he was pouring water into glasses. “Elder?”
Eliza shrugged. “Because you’ve got, you know… those little white hairs in your beard.”
Y/N covered her laugh with a cough. “She’s observant.”
Beau gave Eliza a mock stern look. “That’s distinguished, little wolf.”
“Okay, okay,” Eliza said, waving her hands. “Distinguished Elder Alpha.”
Caleb, bouncing in his high chair, smacked his spoon down and exclaimed, “Ee-sa! Mama! Da!”
Y/N paused in her movements, warmth blooming in her chest all over again. Every time he said it, it struck her fresh. The wonder of it. The rightness.
They sat down to eat, the clink of silverware and the rustle of napkins filling the air between snippets of Eliza’s commentary and Caleb’s delighted babbling. Y/N’s plate was already prepared for her by Beau—he’d made sure she didn’t have to lift a finger more than necessary.
“Everything smells so good,” she said softly, taking a bite and letting herself lean into the moment.
Beau reached across the table, brushing his fingers over hers. “Only the best for my Luna Queen.”
Eliza beamed. “See? I told you the titles made sense!”
As the meal went on, Caleb tried to feed his peas to his stuffed bear. Eliza launched into a dramatic tale involving wolves, forest mushrooms, and a magical teacup. Y/N laughed until her sides ached. Beau wiped mashed carrots off Caleb’s forehead without missing a beat.
The light outside dimmed slowly, golden fading into the dusky lavender of early evening, and still, they lingered—plates half-finished, stories halfway told, love absolutely everywhere.
No one said it aloud, but they all felt it.
This table held more than dinner.
It held belonging.
Y/N leaned into Beau’s side as he stood to clear the dishes, whispering, “Thank you. For this. For today.”
He looked down at her, brushing his lips against her hair. “Thank you for giving me this life.”
And with the children giggling in the background and the last of the warmth lingering in the kitchen, they moved as a unit—this wild, wonderful pack they had created.
Together.
Tumblr media
The house had gone still in that way it only ever did after bedtime.
The dishes were done, toys tucked away, and the gentle hum of the baby monitor crackled quietly on the nightstand. The air in their bedroom was cool and quiet, the scent of clean sheets and faint lavender lingering in the space they now called theirs.
Y/N lay curled on her side, already half-drifting when Beau stepped out of the bathroom, towel draped over his shoulders, hair slightly damp. He moved quietly, as he always did in the dark—careful, steady—but when he reached the edge of the bed and saw her watching him, something softened even further in his eyes.
She reached out, fingers grazing the back of his hand. “You’re still awake.”
He slid under the sheets beside her, propping himself on one elbow. “Couldn’t stop thinking.”
“About what?”
He brushed his knuckles over her cheek, trailing down to rest his hand against her belly. “You. Today. Everything you’re carrying.”
She turned into his touch, her voice soft. “I’m alright, Beau.”
“I know,” he murmured, though the hesitation in his voice lingered. “But still… with your blood pressure, I didn’t want to push. I’ve been holding back. I don’t want to risk anything.”
Y/N shifted closer, threading her hand through his. “Loving me doesn’t put me at risk.”
He exhaled slowly, his thumb brushing over her knuckles. “Doesn’t mean I’m not scared.”
She leaned in, pressing a kiss just under his jaw, slow and sure. “Then let me show you I’m okay. Let me remind you that I still need this—need you.”
His breath caught, the tension in his shoulders softening as she guided his hand to her waist. His fingers spread instinctively, anchoring to her. His forehead met hers, and he waited—silent, reverent.
“You sure?” he whispered.
She smiled, her voice low. “I wouldn’t ask if I wasn’t.”
So he kissed her—slow, lingering, full of everything he couldn’t say with words. And when he touched her next, it was with the kind of tenderness that spoke of knowing every inch of her. Every shift of breath. Every beat of the life they’d built together.
They moved like a memory. No rush. No urgency. Just reverence.
He whispered her name like it was something sacred, his hand splayed across her belly as he moved within her—measured, patient, full of devotion. She held him close, fingertips tracing the lines of his shoulders, the curve of his spine, the heart of the man who never stopped holding her—even when she tried to carry everything alone.
It was quiet between them, soft moans and sighs tucked between kisses and promises spoken only in touch. Their bodies knew the rhythm of love that wasn’t about passion alone—but about presence.
When they came together, it wasn’t a crescendo—it was a deep exhale. A return. A reminder.
After, they lay tangled beneath the covers, limbs still warm, breaths beginning to slow.
Beau brushed the hair from her forehead, still watching her like she might vanish if he blinked. “Thank you,” he murmured.
Y/N smiled, eyes half-closed. “For what?”
“For letting me love you like that,” he whispered. “For being mine.”
She curled closer, her voice the last thread of light before sleep. “Always.”
Tumblr media
The first fingers of morning sunlight crept across the bedroom, turning the white sheets a soft, golden hue. Outside, the world was still hushed—no car doors, no barking dogs, no thundering of little feet just yet.
Inside, the bed was a tangle of limbs and warmth, the kind of closeness born from love given and received without walls.
Y/N woke first.
She blinked slowly, savoring the rare stillness, the gentle weight of Beau’s arm wrapped protectively around her waist. His hand rested lightly over the curve of her belly, fingers twitching slightly in sleep, like even in his dreams, he was tethered to her.
She smiled against the pillow, her heart full in that quiet, aching way.
She shifted just enough to turn and face him. Beau slept heavily, his features relaxed, softer than anyone else ever got to see. The faint stubble on his jaw brushed the edge of the pillow, and a few strands of his hair had gone rogue across his forehead. He looked younger like this. Looser.
Beautiful, she thought, pressing a featherlight kiss to his chest where her hand rested.
As if sensing her, he stirred.
His arms tightened around her instinctively, drawing her back into him without even opening his eyes. “Mornin’,” he mumbled, voice gravelly and deep.
“Morning,” she whispered back, nuzzling against him.
For a long stretch of moments, they just lay there—breathing, being. The kind of intimacy that didn’t need words, that wasn’t rushed or heavy with demands. Just there.
Eventually, Beau tilted his head down, brushing his lips against her hair. “You okay?”
She nodded, smiling. “Better than okay.”
He smiled too, slow and lazy. “Good. ‘Cause I don’t plan on lettin’ you outta bed for a while.”
She chuckled softly. “You planning to call in backup at the station? Explain how the Luna Queen declared a family snuggle day?”
He hummed, his chest vibrating beneath her. “Think Doris would understand. Might even send supplies.”
They fell into a slow, easy kiss—no urgency, just tenderness. The kind that spoke of trust, of promises already kept.
When they finally pulled apart, Y/N tucked her head under Beau’s chin, her body perfectly molded against his.
Outside the door, faint footsteps padded along the hall, followed by a muffled giggle.
“The wolves are awake,” Y/N whispered.
Beau sighed with theatrical sorrow. “Our peaceful reign has ended.”
But even as Caleb’s babbling and Eliza’s dramatic storytelling filtered through the crack beneath the door, Beau only held her tighter.
“We’ll take it slow today,” he promised, voice a rough, soft vow. “For you. For the baby. For us.”
Y/N smiled against his skin.
She knew he meant it.
And for the first time in a long time, she let herself believe—deep in her bones—that no matter what came next, they’d carry it together.
One quiet, steady morning at a time.

BODY BAG - JAKE
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
-inspired by body bag - Chloe Moriondo
Pairing - classmate!jake x gn!reader
Genre - fluff,FLUFF!
word count -643
This is a revamp of the drabble I had on my previous account, to be honest,,idk why I even felt the urge to re-write it LMAO!! Can contain grammar mistakes! I was lazy to edit it fully.
Tumblr media
That's it. You despised Shim Jake with every fiber of your being. The one-sided hatred towards him was nothing new. Ever since first grade, you harbored a dislike for him. It wasn't just about his grades, which always seemed to outshine yours, but also the way he looked at you, causing your heart to flutter uncomfortably. You detested that feeling intensely. Stupid Jake, for eliciting such emotions within you. He shouldn't have been your seatmate or even your classmate in the first place. On the first day of school, the teacher assigned him to sit next to you, and he hadn't changed seats all the way through high school. His way of speaking, smiling, and his sweet, bubbly personality only fueled your anger, exacerbating those irritating feelings.
And then there was Jake again. Did he leave a love letter in your backpack? Indeed, he did. Did you expect him to confess his feelings? Not at all. He was just a classmate, nothing more. But deep down, you felt yourself melting and screaming. Yet, the letter was written so beautifully that your heart skipped a beat each time you reread those words for the hundredth time. You kept it in your diary, rereading it as time passed.
"I have always liked you! Even though you've threatened to punch me in the face multiple times, I still like you." In disbelief, you looked at him, blinking five times. Did he really say that? Did he make you stop in the middle of the sidewalk and face him? After a while, was he following you? Sure, he did. Stupid Jake with his nice voice. It seriously made you want to punch him, yet at the same time, hug him tightly and squeeze the life out of him for being so cute.
"I like you too, Jake, but I still want to punch you." Jake's lips formed a smile, the kind you loved to see so often.
Jake had developed a new habit of taking your hand in his and playing with your fingers. Even now, as you both watched a movie at his house, you struggled to focus on the screen. You wanted to punch him for distracting you, but those stupid feelings intervened. The heat in your face didn't help; it only made you more flustered. Always blushing and stuttering when talking to him. Even though you'd been together for months now, he still made your heart pound loudly. As his lips drew closer to your face, you felt yourself slowly drifting away from reality. He left a small kiss on your cheek, a giggle escaping his lips as he observed your flustered state. It wasn't new to him to see you react that way, but he loved teasing you about it.
Your heart melted once again. Jake took you out to watch fireworks together by the river. He hugged you from behind with his head on your shoulder and his hands around your waist. The night breeze brushed against your face. It was a lovely feeling, despite the occasional squabbles between you two. He was your little sunshine, secretly brightening your days.
"I swear, Jake, I will punch you," you threatened, only for him to burst into laughter. The whipped cream on your face made you look too comical, and he couldn't take you seriously.
Jake convinced you to do a TikTok trend with him. At first, you thought it would be fun, but with whipped cream smeared all over your face, glaring at Jake said otherwise.
"Wow, you're so scary," he laughed, pulling out his phone to take a picture of you.
"Funny, very funny, Jake," you said while heading to the bathroom to clean your face. Even as you walked away, you could still hear Jake giggling from the living room, making you smile once again, all because of your stupid Jake.
