Do you have any info on the winged people of Zabaj from the manuscript Wonders of Creation?

Alright, so this took me a while mainly because my edition refers to the Island of Zanj instead of the Island of Zabaj, and that threw me off. It's only one dot that makes it a different word - زنج versus زبج, see. Zabaj seems to be correct though, Zanj is traditionally in Africa, but this is an island in the China Sea.

Anyway! Let's see what Al-Qazwini has to say about Zabaj. Punctuation added for my sanity, this is all one long unpunctuated sentence.

"Ibn al-Faqih says that there are inhabitants similar to men, but their nature is like that of wild beasts and they speak incomprehensibly. And there are trees from which the inhabitants leap from tree to tree. And there is a kind of cat that has wings like the wings of a bat extending from its ears to its tail."

[Pictured: winged cat. At first I thought that was what you were referring to! Perhaps it's a colugo? The wings from the ears to the tail sounds like a description of one.]

Doesn't seem to be more information than that! They're flying dudes and they speak gibberish. Other authors pretty much repeat that. Hope that helps!

Next, I did an animated attack with two characters created by @yakultandy named Franken Kitty and Space Kitty

I thought these two cats would be like best friends and they just happened to live in the same house. I'm not too skilled in frame-by-frame animation (I learned techniques in this year of college) but I'm really happy with how this piece turned out! The colors were nice and pastel and I had a lot of fun working on the piece. The only grievance I've been getting is that the original file size is too big

Andy gave me a piece of art as well that I LOVE! It's also my two cats, Ponyo and Kayio, and she did an amazing job! I love this piece and I think she really captured their personalities in their expressions! That and they're just so darn cute!!
