your bill hcs were so good and got me thinking... what about yandere bill w/ a reader whos in a relationship already with ford?? i love your work btw!!!
Oooh this is such an interesting request! Thank you so much for submitting this, I absolutely LOVE writing stuff like this!
He/him for Bill
They/them for the reader
<Yandere Bill Cipher x reader who’s in a relationship with Ford Pines>
Tumblr media
When Bill found out that you were already with somebody, he was devastated, moreover, when he found out that the other person was Ford, he completely lost it. You were supposed to be HIS and HIS ALONE!!
Homeboy was oozing with jealousy fr.
The triangle couldn’t grasp how you could fall for someone like Ford! I mean, it’s Ford for gods sake!
He probably stalked the two of you while you were out on dates, all while angrily muttering to himself and sending an unknowing Ford death stares. (Bill punching the air rn)
At first he debated on just killing Ford and getting it all over with, that’s usually the easiest way to solve problems, but then he realized that if he did that, you would most definitely hate him.
He couldn’t risk that happening and he knew it, Bill isn’t a dumb guy, y’know. Therefore, he decided on the second best option: To threaten Ford instead.
Bill waited until the timing was just right, before appearing right in front of Ford himself in one of his most terrifying forms. (Like when he’s all red and big and stuff)
“Cipher?! What do you want? Haven’t you already tormented me and my family enough?!” “Ford Pines, my good pal! I’m not here to cause any harm old man, I’m just here to reclaim something that’s MINE buddy” “What? Something of yours? I have no idea what you’re talking about Cipher!” “A precious little s/o of yours say’s otherwise!”
Once Ford realized what Bill was talking about, he panicked. Y/n? Why did Bill want you? No! He can’t let that demon have you! Who knows what the hell that psycho had in mind?!
Now, the outcome of this conversation was mostly just Ford becoming way more protective over you, and Bill failing to claim you as his.
So when that didn’t work, he resorted to plan B: pursuing you.
“Hey, sugar tits (pls someone stop me) why be with that old sack of meat, when you could be with a real charm devil *wink wink* (with ultimate rizz)
The dorito tried every trick in the book to win you over without causing any harm as to not scare you, but when you still stayed with Ford after everything, he finally snapped.
You were his and ONLY his, that’s the way it is supposed to be, and if you can’t accept that, he will just have to make you realize how much better than Ford he is, resulting in some pretty traumatic scenes for you, but not to worry! Your new boyfriend is here to make it all okay… he can treat you better then Ford, better than anybody for that matter, and he was going to prove it.

EPILOGUE || Unfinished Business
Waking up with a headache was new, having never experienced pain outside of inhabiting a human body.  His eyes slowly started to adjust to the bright surroundings.  Pink and blue?  Those were hues he not used to—and clouds and stars- Oh no.
Although he prayed, he did not expect an answer.  He turned around, and there it was—The Axolotl, lying over a parting in its clouds.
“Axolotl!  Buddy!  How are you-” Bill started his sentence before he was suddenly grabbed by an invisible force, and dragged to float by The Axolotl as it was staring down from the clouds, watching human children playing at a park.  “Ugh..” the dream demon groaned in his mind.
“Precious, aren’t they?  So innocent and fragile.”  The Axolotl commented.
“Disgusting..” Bill had responded.  The Axolotl laughed.
“Still haven’t learned to appreciate them?”  The Axolotl asked.
“Why would I appreciate something so.. Weak?” Bill asked in response, The Axolotl hummed, before closing the clouds and floating over to the middle of the Axolotl’s space between time and space.  The Axolotl had summoned a small, vintage white metal table with floral patterns, and matching chairs, and then a small tea set, with a matching floral tea kettle, tea cups, plates, sugar cubes, cream, and even tea biscuits.
“Sit with me, Cipher.”  The Axolotl asked.
“Do I have a choice..?” Bill asked in a sarcastic tone.
“You always have a choice in my space between time and space, Cipher.  Although, I don’t think you’d like your second option.”  The Axolotl laughed, floating over the chair in a sat position, one leg propped over the other as it was hunched over.  Bill sat in the other chair, picking up the teacup and plate, sipping it from his eye.  Delectable as always, the Axolotl was good at that.
Before it hit him.  His memories.  The Pines Family.  Six Fingers, Shriner’s, Shooting Star... Pinetree.  They had been able to defeat him by trapping him in Shriner’s head.  He was too excited to get into Six Finger’s head he didn’t even realize they pulled a simple switch on him while he was distracted.  His body turned red with anger.
“So, like I said, I didn’t think you’d like your second option.”  The Axolotl laughed.  Bill looked insulted at the Axolotl.
“Why are you laughing at the fact I nearly died!  And by the hands of- humans.” Bill shouted at The Axolotl in anger, wanting to lunge at the Axolotl, but knowing better, he didn’t.
“Because of how much you talk badly about them, you call them weak and idiotic, yet two sets of twins, two nearly at the end of their age and the other two barely starting, defeated you.”  The Axolotl giggled again.  “The others found it hilarious.” Oh great.  Others know.  The dream demon blushed angrily.
“Whatever!  I wasn’t thinking clearly!”  He defended himself.
“Like how humans do?”  The Axolotl teased him further.  Bill was fuming at this point, enough to boil another pot of tea.  “I apologize Cipher, let's get to business.”  He added, and Bill’s anger melted into curiosity.
“Business?”  The dream demon asked.
“Yes Cipher, for why I resurrected you.”  The Axolotl repeated.
“I thought it was because I asked.”  Bill pondered.
“Asked?  It was more like a begging plea.  But no.  I resurrected you because of your unfinished business with a certain Sphynx?”  The Axolotl asked with a smile but it simply made Bill fume once more.
“No.  I don’t.  All of the Sphynx’s are dead.  I made sure of it.”  Bill responded, confused, and angered.
The Axolotl tilted its head to the floor, as the clouds split, and it showed a small clearing in a pine forest.  Bill was confused, and The Axolotl laughed once more, impressed by the Sphynx’s.  The Axolotl cleared the magic dome the Sphynxs made to hide themselves from Bill.  Bill’s eyes widened.
“Once (Mother’s Name) and (Father’s Name) Sphynx saw their family was being hunted, they worked to build a barrier so you couldn’t find their family.  Especially since Mrs. Sphynx was pregnant…”  The Axolotl explained.  Bill’s body ignited into blue flames, and he threw the metal table over, The Axolotl’s magic catching everything before it made a mess.
“Does the child, have the crest.” Bill more demanded than asked, facing away from the Axolotl.
“They do.”  The Axolotl confirmed.  Bill turned around, looking up at the Axolotl.
“What do you want?”  Bill asked, he knew this had to be a trade.  Something in exchange for a second chance.  That’s how The Axolotl has always worked.
“You already know the answer.”  The Axolotl answered.  Bill scoffed.
“It's never gonna happen, Axolotl.”  Bill denied the exchange, and the Axolotl sighed.
“Cipher, you know why I ask you of this.  We’ve been warned, and yet you ignore this warning because you don’t want to change how you act.  How you rule your dimension.  And how you want to rule this one, even though you know you can’t.”  The Axolotl explained.
“We’re not even sure if those stupid rules are true!  We haven’t proven that that happens because of how we behave and work.”  Bill retorted.
“Do you want to risk it Cipher?  After how many have died?  Those who changed have lived, those who haven’t, turned to ash.  Just like they predicted.  Just like they warned.”  The Axolotl explained further.
“Here is my deal, Cipher.  I will return you to Gravity Fall, Oregon.  Your birthplace.  For you to finish your unfinished business.  Preferably the way we’re supposed to.”  The Axolotl held its hand out to Bill.  Bill looked at the hand, before up to The Axolotl.
“And what if I don’t do it the “proper” way?”  Bill asked back, almost the same way a teenager would ask his parent “Or what?”, but he was seriously asking, for his safety.  Being a king of deals, he knew to get every detail.
“Please, do you think this is the first time we’ve had this conversation?”  The Axolotl asked with a smile and a laugh.  Bill felt a shiver up his none existent spine, and he sighed, before rolling his eyes.  He took Axolotl’s hand, no blue flames ignited unlike normal.
“Deal.”
“Wonderful!  I’ll send you down immediately.”  The Axolotl smiled, before clapping his hands once.  As all the tea stuff disappeared.  The Axolotl floated to the clouds, opening up a clearing.
“How are you going too-”  Bill started to ask before he was teleported in front of the opening, his face inches from the Axolotl. “Good luck!”  The Axolotl smiled, before flicking Bill like a bug down to earth. “Boop~”  The Axolotl giggled.

【WIP】vampire!ford x reader short
【A/N: yes i combined bloodsucc kink and teacher x student kink into one cringe ass story. wrote this up in a night and will try to finish at some point. for now enjoy the almost finished draft.
reader is reffered to with he/they pronouns and male terms. also tw for blood (obviously) and also some mild horniness but no actual smut.】
• ♱ ♱ ♱ •
for most student and facility that morning waking up and making their way to their classes, the rays of the rising sun were a beautiful sight to behold.
for stanford pines, though, the bright light only felt like the universe mocking him as it seemed to intensify his pounding headache. and with the pain killers he had downed earlier already waring off the best he could do was shut all the blinds.
to anyone who asked him, he simply explained the headache and circles under his eyes as a hangover. the truth of the matter was simply far more... difficult to explain.
and he himself could almost pretend that was all it was. at least he could if it weren't for the deep, aching hunger. a hunger that he knew wouldn't be cured by eggs and toast.
normally ford had a decent supply of blood via a 'friend' working at the blood bank, however there had been a bit of a dry spell that week leaving him short of his usual amount. and despite the better part of his mind telling him to take a sick day, his stubbornness refused to allow him to lose to his literal bloodlust. a choice he was quickly regretting.
but he managed. he forced himself to go through the days lectures and aside from being distracted for a moment by a student getting a papercut, the class went without issue.
eventually the class was over and he was left alone to go through papers. yet the words on the pages seemed to fade into each other. he could barely focus on anything through the haze of hunger. he thanked the stars that the school day was almost done.
between the hunger and pain he almost missed the sound of the door opening.
"professor pines? are you feeling alright?" he recognized the sound of █████'s voice immediately. he hated to play favorites, but █████ was admittedly his favorite student. the younger male would listen to his lessons with rapt attention, usually the one to ask questions the most and him and ford had formed something of a friendship. of course if anyone would worry over his state it would be him.
"it's just a headache, i'll be fine." he replied distractedly. any other day he would happily invite █████'s presence but in the state he was in he only hoped his friend would leave him to his solitude.
so naturally █████ had instead came up to his desk. looking up, ford was met with a look of concern on the younger man's pretty face. huh? did he just describe his student as being pretty?
"are you sure? you seem feverish." they had commented and placed a hand on ford's head. on one hand, the close proximity made the professor more aware of how attractive his student was. more importantly and concerningly was that he was hit with the scent of the younger male's blood. he quickly pulled away, biting on his lower lip as his bloodlust was ignited.
"ford...?" he could hear the concern in the male's voice. a part of him wanted to tell █████ to leave and another wanted to pull him in and sink his teeth into his neck.
"please..." was all he managed. between his fear of hurting you and his intense bloodlust, he felt like his mind was being torn apart.
"like hell it's just a headache. i'm going to get a nurse...-" no! he needed you to stay with him! without thinking about it, stanford had grabbed your arm.
"stay... please..." he practically growled out. rather than the fear he had expected at this action, you only looked at him with more worry. worry and another emotion ford couldn't name.
"tell me what you need." your face was so, so close to his now. stars, it would be so easy to just lean over...
"i... i can't..." he tried to turn away but your gently hand at his cheek stopped him.
"i see the way you look at me, professor." █████ says with a smile, and ford feels his face flush in shame. was he this obvious about it?
"you're... stars, you're beautiful. but i'm... i'm practically twice your age." the other male giggles and ford tries to ignore the way his heart flutters at the sound.
"that's not really what i meant." you reply simply. ford blinked owlishly for a moment so you specify. "did you think i wouldn't know that my teacher was a vampire?"
"wait, how did... when did...?" he sputtered out.
"the way you react whenever a papercut happens, the fact that your classes always have all the windows covered, the fact that you never eat... i just put two and two together." came the casual reply.
"then you should know how dangerous someone like me is."
"i know, and i don't care. besides..." you took the opportunity to take a seat... right on ford's lap. "...i know you'd never put me in danger." caught off guard by this, ford's hands instinctively landed on either side of your hips, and his otherwise pale complexion became rosy red.
"█████..." your name flows off ford's tongue in a breathy gasp. "we can't..." his mind screamed at him that this was a bad idea. he was your professor. you were his student. any moment someone could walk in and see the lewd position the two of you were in.
"take me, stanford." but stars he was so, so hungry. with as much gentleness as he can give, he pulls away the helm of your shirt to reveal your bare neck and slowly sinks his teeth in, ilicting a soft groan from you.
the moment he tastes you, however, any thoughts in his brain are gone. years of drinking cold blood from plastic bags and your blood hit his tongue like the nectar of the heavens. he drinks the warm liquid like a man in a dry desert, tonguing at your veins as the other male moans.

“I can see a truck pulling up now! C’mere, see if you can get a glimpse of them. You’ve got better eyes.”
Your mother is standing at the side of the picture window in your living room, attempting to stealthily get a good look at the new neighbors moving in next door. Her hand waves you over from where you’re standing at the bottom of the stairs, disheveled from the sleep that is still fogging most of your brain.
You definitely have to be half asleep because you comply with your mother’s urgent pleas, the bottoms of your bare feet sticking to the humid wood floors. You are fresh-air people, as your mother says, leaving all the windows and doors open for as long as humanly possible in the summer. It only lasts for the first few weeks of warmer weather, and eventually, everything gets sealed up and the house becomes a frigid ice box with the way your parents crank the air conditioning. Peeling your feet off the floor one last time, you stop in front of the glass.
Standing next to your mother, fully visible in the open window, you study the moving truck that’s pulled into the driveway adjacent to yours.
A local company. Must already be from Austin.
Behind the massive truck, a navy blue Ford pickup that you don’t recognize coasts down the asphalt, getting thrown into park in front of the lawn of the vacant house. Two men, maybe early thirties if you had to guess, climb out of the driver’s side and passenger seat, already talking over each other.
The one at the passenger side has dark brown, nearly black hair that looks just long enough to need a trim and frames his face with curls. Fairly tall, firm build. The white ribbed tank top that he’s wearing hugs his torso underneath the green shirt thrown on over it, buttons undone. He has a shit-eating grin on his face about something that must have been said, hand banging on the side of the car before he walks back towards the bed to grab a cardboard box out of it.
The other, the one that’s come out of the driver’s side, looks a bit older than the passenger. Much more cropped, but still messy, lighter brown hair sweeps down onto his forehead, the back of it curling up slightly at the nape of his neck. Definitely could use a haircut, too, but the bedhead is endearing. A hand reaches up to scratch at the trim beard and mustache that he’s sporting, the facial hair framing his strong jaw nicely. His eyebrows are furrowing in frustration or annoyance, or maybe a bit of both while his head shakes back and forth at whatever his companion joked about. He makes the grumpy stare charming, and you suddenly have the thought that you’d like to know if he’s always got that crease in his brow or if that’s only reserved for the man who was unpacking the truck now. The muscles in his biceps flex as he shuts his door, t-shirt pulling taut over his chest as he steps to open the rear door, a grin growing on his face.
Out from the backseat pops the most adorable little girl you’ve seen. Looks to be about seven or eight years old, maybe, with tiny, sweet features and dressed in a lilac shirt and denim Bermuda shorts. She’s got voluminous, kinky curls that show off natural highlights in the Texas sunshine. She’s giggling and giddy, reaching for the man who opened the door to help her down from the raised truck. He scoops her up, a shriek of laughter coming from the little girl as he slings her over his shoulder. More muscles flex in his back as he carries the weight easily, walking back to the bed of the pickup to grab some bags out of it to bring inside.
So tunnel-visioned on the vignette of family life playing out in front of you, you didn’t even think that you could be seen. A voyeur of your street, you forget that your curtains are drawn, the window is open, and a large pane of clear glass is the only thing in front of you. As if he could feel the burn of your stare, the eyes observing his movements, the man carrying the little girl turns towards your house. His stare catches your own that was already trained on him, a friendly smile plastered to his face as he raises the hand holding the girl in a short wave.
Mortifying. The first impression that your new neighbor, your attractive new neighbor, had of you was you, standing in ratty cotton sleep shorts and an oversized t-shirt, hair falling out of the hair tie at the back of your head. Heat warmed your cheeks and the back of your neck at the embarrassment of being caught, and of being caught in this outfit.
Your mother next to you erupts in laughter, turning away from the window as you grumble under your breath about that interaction being her fault. Trudging back up the stairs to get ready for the day, annoyance is still twisted in your expression. You skip back down the stairs to the kitchen, dressed and hair fixed up, skidding into the open room to see your dad at the table alone, the newspaper in his hand with the job listing page already pulled out and set at your usual spot.
“Morning, kiddo.”
“G’morning, Dad.”
Sliding into the wooden chair at the kitchen table, you start to look over the listings in search of a summer position to occupy your time at home before you start your last year of university in the fall. There are a few postings for dogwalkers, hostesses, and waitresses that you’ve already seen or applied to in the last week. A couple of bartending jobs catch your eye, thinking about the tips to be made, but your thoughts quickly deflate when they require state licensing.
A huff of disappointment rolls from your lips when your mom comes back inside through the door to the garage, an artful smile pulling at her lips. She’s looking directly at you, the expression making you uneasy in anticipation of whatever news or plan she’s concocted. Your mother meddles, in the most loving way possible, but she can’t help but stick her nose in everyone’s business. So the next words out of her mouth really shouldn’t surprise you, but they do make your stomach turn with newfound anxiety.
“So, I just met the new neighbors. Well, one neighbor and his daughter, I guess. The Millers. His name is Joel, and his daughter’s name is Sarah, she proudly told me she was seven years old and starting the second grade in the fall. The other guy we saw was his brother that he introduced me to, Tommy.”
You’re currently rereading the same job listing over and over again to avoid looking at your mom, feigning disinterest as you nod slowly at what she’s saying. At the same time, your nerves zip in excitement at knowing his name now, and you bite your tongue to ask your mom to continue, knowing she’d tease your eagerness.
Instead, you let her tell you about the rest of the brief interaction, recalling whichever neighborhood Joel had said they moved from and how he and his brother have lived in Austin their entire lives.
“Oh! I almost forgot to tell you both,” your mom addresses your father for the first time in the conversation, the call to his attention making him lower the newspaper to look at her, a silent nod getting her to continue, “I invited them over for a barbecue tonight to take a break from moving in and have a nice meal after their long day. I’m gonna need you to run to the store for me, and I’ll have to get to cleaning the house…”
Your mom’s plan for the day and list of chores trail off in your ears as a buzz muffles it. Your hot neighbor was coming over to your house, tonight, and you were going to have to face him after being caught blatantly staring.
How great for you.
Tumblr media
The sliding screen door pulls shut behind you with a woosh and a click, returning to its pathetic job of keeping insects out of the house while letting the slightly cooler evening air in. Foamy flip-flops smack against the weather-worn oak wood deck as you shuffle over to the large silver grill that your dad commands. Steel wool scrapes against the metal grates of the inside; your dad’s bent over to get better leverage to clean all the burnt bits off.
The beach-themed melamine platter weighs heavy in your hands, covered with burgers, hot dogs, and brats - plus a couple of veggie burgers - to the point where the design of crustaceans and shells in the waves and beach towels laid out on the sand is completely disguised.
“I didn’t ask what they like to eat, so I got everything I could think of! You can’t assume these days with all these new folks moving to Austin, I’m trying to be considerate,” is what your mother said to you when you asked if she was planning to feed the whole block or a small army with the amount of food that was going on the grill.
Don’t even get started on the sides.
You set the platter piled with meat on the webbed black iron patio table to the side of the grill, shuffling over to stand at the edge of the deck, overlooking the chlorine-blue pool water that shines in the slowly fading sunlight. Your parents had installed the in-ground pool the first summer you’d been home from college, jokingly claiming it was their way to make sure you came home every summer, and your brother, Chris, too when he went away to school a short two years after you.
To be honest, it may have been a joke, but it was definitely part of the reason you came back each summer. That, and you just felt more yourself, more at ease at home. It was your comfort zone, but after spending every school year pushing yourself out of your comfort zone academically and socially, you always wanted to return to the warm, sun-soaked home that you grew up in. Maybe that made you more dependent on your parents still, maybe your friends saw it as immature, but you knew what you wanted to do, and you weren’t going to suffer over break just to seem like “an adult” like your friends thought they did.
“You gonna go for a swim, kiddo?”
Your dad’s voice pulls you out of your thoughts, focusing your eyes back from the wide aperture they had fallen into as you stood mesmerized by the water moving down below you. Clearing your throat, you cross your arms over your chest as you turn back to your dad at the grill, the clicks of the gas burners lighting aflame while he twists the dials at the front.
“Maybe later. Once this attempt of Mom’s to get the first gossip on the new neighbor is over.”
Your dad laughs softly at your lightly satirical joke at your mother’s expense, shaking his head and giving you one of those looks that says ‘just do as your mother says like you always do.’
“Well, you can relax plenty later. Just be on your best behavior for the neighbors, will ya?” He laughs at his own comment, the sarcasm coating the request he’d made. You’ve never made waves in your family, in your friend group, in your neighborhood. Always known as the “sweet girl” to your older neighbors, the “golden child” to your peers and your family. Your initially reserved nature gives everyone the impression that you are a polite, kind Southern belle. If only they could read minds.
Flip flops thwacking with each step as you cross the deck again, slipping inside through the sliding door. Skating past the kitchen quickly before your mom can rope you into helping with more preparation, you take the stairs two at a time to get up to your room to get ready.
You’d be lying to yourself if you said that there was a small part of you that was excited to meet Joel. The majority of you burns with embarrassment and is dreading having to face him after getting caught in your voyeurism this morning, but with how attractive he was, it could be a bit fun to have him as a neighbor next door.
Which is why you’re standing in front of your full-length mirror, hair fixed up from the state it was in when he first saw you and a short, light blue sundress on. Eyelets and embroidery covered the dress, the square neckline was framed by cap sleeves. It was modest enough to keep your intentions for dressing up hidden from your parents, but it was revealing enough to make you feel confident to face your hot neighbor for an official introduction.
Tumblr media
The next half an hour is spent following your mom’s instructions, most of them being silent points of her finger while she’s absorbed in another task. Every so often you make eye contact with Chris through the patio door, him in the middle of the same treatment from your dad out by the grill.
At one point, your mom is so tunnel-visioned that when you finish the last assignment she’d given you, you slip out to where your dad and brother are now lounging in the chairs around the table on one side of the deck. The metal scrapes against the wood as you pull out one and take a seat, sighing gratefully when Chris passes you a beer from the cooler next to him. The cap twists off with a hiss and a pop, the water from the melted ice dripping onto your chest. As you tip the bottle to your lips and dab off the water before it runs down your skin to the neckline of your dress, the Millers walk up the steps at the side of the deck, tumbling greetings over each other.
Your dad stands, your brother behind him as they take a few steps to meet Joel and Tommy halfway. Polite handshakes are exchanged while you get up out of your seat, beer left on the table to go get the embarrassment over with.
Sarah stands shyly next to her dad, her little shoulder completely encompassed by her dad’s hand as she looks up at all the men around her starting to talk about the latest Astros game. You smile softly at her and give her a wave as you move to stand with everyone, a slight smile growing on her face at someone acknowledging her. She steps away from her subtle hiding place next to Joel, the movement causing Joel to glance down at her before his eyes turn up to you.
A friendly smile ticks up one side of his mouth, brown eyes speckling with caramel highlights as he squints in the sunlight to take a step forward and reach out his hand to you.
“I’m Joel, the new neighbor.”
You give him a firm, polite handshake with a warm grin attached to it, nodding your head.
Please dear God, or whatever is out there, don’t let him mention this morning.
“It’s nice to meet you, sir. Hope today hasn’t been too much of a nightmare moving in.” Nerves bubble in your stomach, but you can’t help but feel them turn to butterflies when his eyes darken ever so slightly at the word ‘sir’, hand quickly falling out of yours and resting back on Sarah’s shoulder as he clears his throat quietly.
“Hasn’t been too bad, right bug? You wanna introduce yourself?” His eyebrows raise encouragingly to his daughter and the nickname warms your heart, watching as Sarah grows more confident to stand up straight, a smile on her face.
“My name’s Sarah,” she directs towards you and then turns to her dad, waving him to crouch down to her level so she can whisper at the not-so-subtle kid's volume, “What do I say after that?”
Joel chuckles lightly and whispers back to her quietly enough for you not to hear. He stands up straight again, watching Sarah.
“It’s nice to meet you, miss!” she turns to Joel again, beaming proudly, “Is that right?”
He nods and looks back at you as you laugh softly, a wide smile on your face from the adorable and incredibly polite greeting Sarah’s given you. His own smile pulls larger as you bend down to be at eye level with her, warmth emanating from you introduce yourself just as Sarah did and fall into conversation with her.
She tells you all about her last school year in the first grade, her favorite toys, and how excited she is for her summer camp. The two of you have moved to sit next to each other on the outdoor couch, your drink forgotten next to you as you listen to the bubbly seven-year-old.
Joel and Tommy stay in conversation with your dad and Chris near the grill, standing around in a semi-circle and making small talk about sports, weather, and the sturdiness of your deck. Joel and Tommy mentioned having a contracting business together, and your dad ran with it, asking them every question under the sun about the longevity of the build that was done a few years ago.
Your mom comes out to join them for a bit, sitting with you and Sarah as you talk with each other before she gathers all the meat fresh off the grill to bring inside and finish setting up everything.
A few more minutes pass before your mom pops her head out and calls everyone in to make a plate. You stand up and wait for Sarah to climb off the couch, following behind her bouncy curls. Everyone’s made it through the door ahead of you, except for Joel as he lingers to wait for his daughter. One of his hands finds her head as he carefully ushers her inside, turning to you with a sincere look in his eyes.
“Thanks for keeping her entertained. She loves to talk, doesn’t really get that from me,” he drawls out, his accent a bit thicker than yours. You shake your head, waving a hand at him to dismiss him.
“She’s the one keeping me entertained, I’m surprised I’m not boring her with my lack of summer plans to discuss. She’s very excited for day camp,” you chuckle quietly, still standing less than a foot from Joel at the sliding door. You can smell the body wash he must’ve used in the shower before coming over, fresh eucalyptus and birch mixing with the richer cedarwood and bergamot of what you assume is his cologne.
“Oh, yeah. Big time. She was begging me to sign her up finally this year and it made sense with my work schedule getting busier. But, still, thanks for hanging out with her.” He nods toward the door, gesturing for you to walk in ahead of him. His hand hovers behind your back as you step in ahead of him, fingers brushing your dress lightly before he quickly pulls them away.
You stand to the side to let the guests go through to get their food first, Joel helping Sarah put everything she wants onto a plate while balancing his own. Tommy happily starts eating what’s already on his plate halfway through the line, earning a jab in the side from his older brother. Once everyone’s gotten what they wanted, you all pile back outside to the deck to sit around and eat.
The table isn’t large enough for everyone, so it ends up being your parents, Chris, and Tommy sitting around it while you, Joel, and Sarah sit around the patio lounge set. Sarah happily sits on the ground at the coffee table, you slipping a cushion down for her to rest on before sitting in one of the chairs across from the couch.
Joel’s settled next to his daughter, facing you as he wipes his mouth with his napkin.
“So, uh, your dad said you’re going into your last year at TCU? What’re you studying?”
“Public Relations and Advertising. I’m hoping—”
“She wants to move to Boston!” Sarah interjects with a mouthful of hotdog bun.
Joel looks at her with a gently reprimanding look, “Bug, please don’t talk with your mouth full. ‘S not polite.”
He turns back to you after patting his daughter’s curls, lips curled up to one side.
“Boston, huh? What’s all the way up there?”
“Not here,” you laugh softly, shrugging your shoulders as you stab a piece of potato salad with your fork, “I love Austin, don’t get me wrong, but living here my whole life and going to school only three hours away in Fort Worth feels like I haven’t seen much outside of Texas. Plus, there’re some good agencies up there and it’s not as scary of a move like New York or Los Angeles would be.”
Joel nods in understanding, speaking up after he finishes a bite, “I get that. Haven’t lived anywhere but Austin my whole life, but I can understand wanting to experience new things.”
You might be imagining things, but you swear you can hear his voice drop deeper in the last half of his sentence. It sends a flutter between your legs, and the back of your neck burns with chagrin.

Conversation continues to flow easily between you and Joel, and Sarah, too. Your parents don’t ask you to help clean up because you’re so invested, laughing quietly at his subtle humor and smiling widely when Sarah adds in her commentary or tells a story.
Tommy and Chris join you all on the lounge furniture, falling into a wider group discussion of neighborhood politics and what fun things you and Chris got up to when you were around Sarah’s age.
Joel’s eyes stay trained on you whenever you're speaking, even glancing at you when you’re both listening to someone else. The eye contact from him stirs your stomach and hitches your breath, your own stare avoiding his when it gets a bit too intense.
Hours are consumed quickly, the twilight blue skies dimming your backyard so that only the porch and string lights illuminate the deck. Low light and the late hour have soothed Sarah to sleep, her small frame tucked into Joel’s side. He keeps a hand on her back while she rests, everyone looking at her tenderly.
Joel asks you and your mom if you know of any other neighbors with young kids that are going to the park district day camp for the summer, wondering if there’s a possibility to carpool or arrange some care for Sarah when he’s got a busy schedule.
Not knowing anything yourself since you don’t live here full time anymore, you turn to your mom and watch as the gears turn in her head, eyes lighting up with an idea.
“Actually, haven’t you been looking for a summer job, honey? Maybe you could nanny Sarah! Drop her off when Joel can’t, pick her up every day, and watch her until Joel gets home from work. That is, if you’d be interested in that, Joel.”
Your mouth opens and closes as you try to stutter out a response, feeling a bit flustered at your mom’s out-of-the-blue suggestion. Plus, you aren’t sure you could manage to work for your hot neighbor and to see him often; it was one thing to have a crush and pine freely from afar, but spending time in his house? Seeing him every day?
Your thighs press together as your mind races with thoughts about more of Joel in all aspects.
Being the ever-so-polite Southern daughter you were raised to be, you turn to Joel with a glittering smile and nod despite the stomach acid creeping up your throat with your nerves.
“I’d love to help out if you need it. Spending my summer with Sarah would be fun.”
At your confirmation of the offer, Joel pauses for a moment to look down at his sleeping daughter, heading swinging back to you with a boyish grin on his face.
“Guess that solves my problem then. Think you can start next week? Her first day is Wednesday.”
Arrangements are made with Joel as the Miller crew gets ready to leave, your own family have said their goodbyes and retiring inside to clean up after the night. Joel and you stand on the deck next to the stairs that lead to your side yard and over to their house. He shifts on his feet, passing Sarah from his arms to Tommy’s for his younger brother to get her home.
Joel’s arms stretch up briefly, giving you the slightest peek at the bottom of his stomach when his t-shirt lifts. Saliva floods your mouth as the thought of kissing there when you’re on your knees for him passes through your mind quickly.
Stop thinking about him like that. Yeah, he’s hot but he’s also now going to be employing you.
“Thanks again for offering to nanny, Sarah. She’s gonna be real excited when I tell her in the mornin’. You sure you don’t wanna take the out now?” His hands shoved into the front pockets of his jeans, a coy smile on his face.
“It’s really no problem at all. Like I said, I think it will be a fun summer.”
There’s no hidden meaning to your words, but for some reason Joel drops your stare after you speak, glancing down at his boots before he raises his head again, his smile a hint wider.
His drawl coats the words as he replies, “Well, it’s definitely gonna be somethin’, sweetheart.”
Joel turns on the heel of his boot, bounding down the short staircase and over toward his yard. He looks back once, a short wave raised towards you as he calls out a ‘goodnight’ to your frozen frame on your deck.
The front door of the Miller house clicks closed and you finally exhale the breath you didn’t realize you were holding in. Slow movements carry you inside and up to your room, flopping down to your bed on your back. One had rested on your stomach filled with butterflies, the other over your heart to feel the quickened rhythm.
Joel was right, this summer was definitely going to be something. And you were eager to find out what exactly it could be.

Summary: Stanford Pines is anything but used to romance, but when the young woman he has fallen for confesses her feelings to him, it feels to him as though they were destined to be together…
Chronology: Late Season 2.
~~~~~~~~~~
I felt a little dizzy as my body began to tremble, but after one slow, deep breath, I regained my composure and walked out of the attic. After having spent so long, so much time, so many days debating with myself, I had finally made up my mind: that day was the day I would dare approach Stanford and confess to him everything that weighed on my mind. At last.
I made my way down the staircase and up to the vending machine, alone in the room; that afternoon was bright and sunny, thankfully for me, as all the others were spending their time outside the shack. The last thing I wanted was for one of them to walk in on me confessing my love to Stanford, and the sheer thought of such a thing happening was enough to bring knots to my stomach.
Still standing in front of the vending machine, I input the code to the basement on the pad, a code only the Stan twins knew better than I did, a code I typed in every day, a code that had become so important to me.
Come on, [Y/N]... You can do it. I motivated myself through thought as I watched the secret door open. You've prepared yourself for this day, for this exact moment... You can do it.
With the vending machine now retracted, I took a deep breath once more, sensing my nervousness rise as my stomach truly began to ache, my heart beating faster in my chest than it had ever before. For the second time, I found myself faced with a flight of stairs: I walked down each step, one by one, until I arrived at the elevator. With a slightly trembling index finger, I pressed the button that led to the last floor, which was home to the now-broken portal. While I waited inside the elevator, I continuously repeated to myself the speech I had prepared, the speech I intended to give to Stanford. And the second the elevator stopped moving and the doors slowly opened, I knew my time had come.
Seated on his chair, Stanford was pacing back and forth between all corners of the room, whether it was his desk, shelves, or even the ground, promptly standing up to grab some of his tools off the floor before he sat right back down. For but a moment, it was clear he had not yet noticed I was present in the room with him, until I took a few steps forward in his direction: then, he instantly recognized the sound of my footsteps and finally turned around to me.
From the other end of the room, he showed me a warm smile that made my heart flutter.
"Good afternoon, [Y/N]." He said cheerfully while he brushed the dust off his clothes with his hands. "How are you feeling today? Good, I hope."
"Good afternoon, Ford." I said back to him as I tried to sound as nonchalant as I could. "I'm fine, yes, thank you for asking. And what about you?"
"I'm doing great." He answered, still smiling. "In fact, I'm doing very well."
"Really, how so?"
"Well, I can't quite yet tell you much about it, but my current research is coming along nicely, to say it all." He told me with delight.
"Oh, that's fantastic news!" I exclaimed enthusiastically.
I stared at Stanford in the eyes, pretending to be jolly, when my heart rate was in fact racing.
"Oh, but enough about all that." He said as he took a step toward me while gesturing his hands. "Tell me, [Y/N], why are you not outside? I would have expected to see you out there, enjoying such a sunny day."
"You're one to talk, you know?" I teased him with a light chuckle. "But, as for me... Well..."
The old ceiling lamp above our heads emanated a low light that mixed in orange and red, which faintly reflected against the lenses of Stanford's glasses, making them sparkle just slightly.
"You see, Ford..." I started, the volume of my voice diminishing with each word. "God, it's just so hard to say it..."
As my hands began to tremble and awkwardly twist their fingers, he took yet another step in my direction, which brought him right in front of me.
"[Y/N], are you sure everything's all right?" He asked me with concern while he rested a delicate hand on one of my shoulders. "Is something the matter?"
To avoid his gaze, I lowered my head and stared at the ground, at my feet, just in front of his.
"Ford... There's something I have to tell you." I finally managed to say. "It's... really important... to me. That's why I'm here and not outside with the others."
While I spoke, I simply could not resist the urge to look down at Stanford's hand, holding my shoulder in place with a firm grip, yet without too much pressure; and the longer I stared at it, the longer I felt his touch on me, the more I could sense my heart pounding in my chest. I could tell my cheeks were progressively turning pink as I allowed my eyes to wander, leaving his hand to trace up his arm, detailing the outline of his muscles through the sleeve of his coat.
It's undeniable that the 30 years Ford spent stuck in-between dimensions have toughened him up... by a lot. I thought to myself. He's told me before that back when he and Stanley were little, he would get pushed around by other kids, even bullied. Then, growing up into adulthood, as a scientist and researcher, he never quite had a muscular physique, unlike his twin brother. But now, I look at him... and I can't help but feel a sense of pride seeing the man he has become.
I quickly pulled myself out of my thoughts and diverted my eyes from his arm, then cleared my throat before I looked back up at his face.
"I have to tell you that... I'm really glad that Stanley made the right choice to save you and bring you back here... and that Mabel decided not to press that button." I told him with genuine affection. "Stanford, I like you, and-"
"Oh, how sweet of you, [Y/N]." He exclaimed with a smile as he interrupted me. "I know it may not always seem like it, but I'm actually truly happy to be back, to be here, beside you all, even Stanley... And that includes you, of course. I like you too, [Y/N]."
With a grin still displayed on his face, he leaned forward and moved his hand from my shoulder to my head: his palm tousled my hair, after which he started to walk back to his desk, assuming our conversation was over and that he could go back to his work.
"T-Thank you, Ford, but you don't get it-" I said with a sad smile while I shook my head slowly, my eyebrows furrowed. "I like you, Stanford... I love you."
It felt as though my words echoed throughout the room, bouncing off the walls, surrounding us wholly, resonating within our heads. He immediately stopped walking, his foot frozen in mid-air, and remained still, his back turned to me; although I could not see his face, I could feel mine growing hot with blush, an expression of conflicted emotions on my face.
"... Hum- You know what? Forget I said anything." I mumbled as I stared at his back. "I... don't know what came over me, but just- ignore it... please..."
The more I tried to express myself properly, the longer I spent choosing my words, the more teardrops escaped my eyes, rolling down across my cheeks and ending their course on the ground.
"This... must sound like complete nonsense to you... I'm sure you're thinking I've lost my mind."
While I still stared at his back, still turned to me, Stanford still motionless, I took a blind step backward, then another.
"... I'm very sorry to have disturbed you, Stanford... You may resume your work, now."
The second I finished speaking, I promptly turned around and nervously pressed the button on the elevator: and as I stepped inside, I anxiously waited to hear him say something, anything, but he remained quiet. I pressed a second button, this time to order the elevator to go back up to the surface. After a second of silence that felt excruciatingly long, the two doors closed, and the moment the elevator started to move, I broke into tears.
I was still sobbing when, shortly after, I walked out of the elevator, climbing the secret stairs back up to arrive back into the room. I was too emotionally compromised to truly scan my surroundings, but I was still able to tell all the others were still busy, as the room was still empty.
I need... to be alone... I told myself. I need to find a place... somewhere, anywhere...
I knew the attic was out of the question, considering Dipper and Mabel could have very well been there, and so was the kitchen, given how much time Stanley spent in it; the only place that was left, the only place I could think of was the secret room Soos had discovered the other day, by pure accident. Once standing in front of the door, I gave it a soft push with my hand, too feeble to put any amount of strength into my movements. But as physically weak as I felt, I stepped inside the room without even an ounce of hesitation.
Once I was in, I closed the door behind me then took a look around the dim room, plunged into darkness, and, soon enough, my eyes spotted a couch: without a second thought, I made my way to it and sat down, bringing both of my legs onto the sofa. The temperature in the room was quite cold, which forced me to bury my face into the sweater I was wearing, a sweater Mabel had knitted for me. And as I sat in the dark, I let my tears flow, pouring out of my eyes like a river.
For a while, although I had no notion of how long it had been, I did not move from my spot, nor did I stop weeping, surrounded by my overwhelming thoughts in the midst of obscurity. That was, until I heard the door of the room open behind me, in such a slow and gentle manner it was almost inaudible.
Without sticking my head out of my sweater, I shook my head at the sound.
"I don't know who you are, but frankly, I don't care." I let out in-between two tears, my voice muffled. "Please... go away... I just need some time on my own..."
Despite my pitiful request, the person decided to walk in anyway, and I felt my heart twist into knots when I recognized the sound of their footsteps on the creaking floor, the sound of old, muddy boots. They continued, growing closer and closer to me, until they stopped, right beside me, and after but only a second, I felt his body sit down on the couch, just next to mine.
"[Y/N]... Please, listen." Stanford started in a tone so gentle it was almost a whisper. "You may think you've lost your mind, but you're far from it, trust me."
His voice and his words reached my ears and instantly enveloped me in a sensation of safety, of warmth, of comfort, and a part of me was already soothed, just listening to them, no matter how much I craved to be alone at that moment.
Though hesitantly, I slowly raised my head from my sweater, revealing the upper part of my face, though the rest was still concealed: and in an instant, my eyes were met with his, his gaze soft and affectionate.
"Because of... what you've told me, you see yourself as a freak... as some kind of monster. And you know this is something I can relate to, [Y/N]. I've had similar thoughts in the past, when I was a child, after other people would make fun of me for my weirdness, especially my polydactyly. But no matter how many times I got pushed around, I always- well, almost always had my brother by my side, to remind me I should not be ashamed of who I am... Just like you have us."
Ever so gently, Stanford extended one of his hands to me, reaching down into my sweater to grab my chin between his thumb and index finger. And that one single gesture tore my heart in half.
I already know how all of this is going to end... Ford is going to comfort me, to try and make me feel better, but he's not going to bring up again my love declaration, he's going to ignore my feelings for him... He'd rather avoid mentioning it, finding it easier to pretend as if it never happened... and this tension between us would remain.
With my face still held by his hand, he stared deeply into my eyes, though it appeared his confidence was progressively fading away.
"[Y/N], I... I don't... quite know how to say this..."
His face turned pink as he broke eye contact with me, his eyes restless.
"I've never really... done this type of thing... ever, you see, so..."
But eventually, after looking for the right words for some time, he looked back into my eyes, this time with strong determination.
"I love you too, [Y/N]." He blurted out bashfully.
Upon hearing his words, my eyes opened wide and my heart stopped beating. I was already convinced my imagination had played a trick on me, unable to believe what Stanford had just said to be the truth.
"... This... is not something I thought I would say today, but I assure you that I mean it, no matter how unbelievable it may sound to you." He further confessed, his words heavy. "I've had feelings for you ever since the day I first made your acquaintance. I saw you for the first time and... found you... beautiful. I talked to you for the first time and thought your personality was wonderful. Then I saw how well you got along with my family, with Stanley and the kids, and... I felt something I had never really felt before."
He marked a pause, his voice slightly shaky and his face shifting from pink to red.
"... A-And, at first, I couldn't believe it was love, I put the blame on... on the fact that you simply had been the first woman my eyes landed on after 30 years outside of this dimension, but-... But soon enough, I had to be rational and face the truth... I understood I truly had fallen for you."
Although I kept quiet, I could very distinctively tell what was going through Stanford's mind, especially given the facial expressions he was switching between as he spoke.
"But I... I didn't say anything." He continued, lowering his eyes to avoid mine. "I didn't know how to properly apprehend these feelings, how to confess them to you... For a man my age, all of this shouldn't be a problem, but... well, my experience is close to none. I understand your own hesitation regarding your feelings came from our age gap, and, quite frankly, so did mine. I just couldn't find a way to let you know about mine without coming across as a pervert... So I decided to bottle it all up."
After his last sentence, silence reigned for a moment, and I understood his speech had finally come to an end; the two of us were now staring straight at each other, our gazes locked on, neither of us saying a word. Only then did Stanford remember he was still holding my chin, and only then did he realize his speech had gone on for much longer than he himself had intended, judging by the look on his face. His eyes suddenly opened wide, his cheeks still buried under a thick layer of blush as he let go of my face, visibly embarrassed.
"I-I'm sorry, [Y/N]- I said too much, didn't I?" He asked me, seemingly shameful. "I must have spoken for too long- You said you wanted to be left alone, so... I'll be going, now-"
He hurriedly stood up from the sofa as he nervously pushed his glasses on his nose. He promptly made his way to the door of the room, but before I could let him get too far away from me, I extended an arm toward him and reached for the bottom of his coat: as he felt my hand tug at the fabric, he turned back around and looked at me, at the single tear rolling down my cheek.
"Stay." I said in a whisper. "... Please."
Stanford's eyes remained on me, on my face, which was now begging for his presence, and he could feel it; all while staring down at me, he walked back to the couch and sat back down, this time even closer to me, close enough to wrap his arms around my body and bring it down against his as he lay back slightly. His embrace felt warm and secure, yet so overwhelming as well. With my face nestled in the crook of his neck, I closed my eyes and took multiple deep breaths, his natural scent soothing me further with each passing second.
As I listened to the sound of his heart beating faster in his chest, I felt one of his hands rub my back gently, shortly followed by a kiss he left on the crown of my head. Both of us found peace and tranquility within that moment, that moment of serenity and quietness; but the silence did not last for long, as I let out a heavy sigh.
"... I'm sorry, Ford." I said, my voice slightly muffled against his skin.
"What for?" He kindly asked while looking down at me.
"For... all of this. For having waited all this time to let you know how I feel, and for having made you repress your own feelings. Because of me... we've wasted so much time we could have spent... this way."
Stanford chuckled, a genuine laugh that made my heart skip a beat and turned the tips of my ears red.
"You don't need to apologize for such things, [Y/N]." He stated as he brought his hands down on my shoulders.
With slow and gentle care, he pulled me out of his embrace, just slightly, just enough so that he could look down at me, so that our faces could meet, so that he could show me his bright smile.
"You're not responsible for any of this, and if we follow your way of thinking, logic would have it I need to apologize too. But neither of us is at fault, here. So, please, don't burden yourself with guilt."
With a shy smile, I closed my eyes and nodded. When I opened them again, I was still faced with his loving smile, with his affectionate gaze; and, after but a brief moment of uncertainty and indecision, I slowly brought my hand up to his face and gently rested my palm on his cheek, which led to the blush on his cheeks intensifying. As my fingers drifted down along his jaw and then his neck, I tilted my head a little.
I've... never really been this close to Ford before... It might take some getting used to... But I get the feeling that won't be an issue.
Our eyes gazed deeply into one another as my other hand found its way to his torso, my palm slowly rising and falling along his heaving chest, along the rhythm of his heartbeat. One of his hands left my shoulders to hold my waist, while the other held the nape of my neck, his fingers delicately running through my hair. Our faces grew closer to each other, the air around us filled with anticipation and excitement, until we both tilted our heads and closed our eyes: our lips met and our embrace grew tighter, finally sharing together this special moment we had waited so long to see happen.
My hand on his neck moved to the collar of his sweater, which I grabbed passionately while I felt Stanford furrow his eyebrows, his lips sighing against mine, cherishing the moment as he held me against his body. But the moment inevitably came to an end when we both pulled away, slightly out of breath, slightly panting, in an atmosphere that had all of a sudden become heavy. The two of us were still nervous, even now that we had kissed, and I could tell Stanford was feeling particularly awkward: with a soft smile, I tugged at his sweater and leaned forward to leave one more kiss on his lips, catching him off-guard. After I pulled away, I stared into his wide-open eyes with love as I caressed his blushing cheek.
"That was wonderful, Ford." I told him enthusiastically in a reassuring tone.
While still smiling, I readjusted his glasses on his nose a little better, seeing as they had slightly slipped down during our kiss.
"For a man in his 60s who's barely ever kissed a woman before, you're quite a good kisser." I added, teasing him playfully.
My compliment made him chuckle, somewhat awkwardly but mostly with genuine affection.
"Well... Thank you, [Y/N]." He said while blushing. "You're... really good yourself."
My body imitated his and I felt the redness on my face intensify as I giggled lightly. Both of his hands traveled back down around my waist, which he grabbed firmly, though without applying too much pressure.
"Well... The afternoon is far from over, so why don't you and I go back to the basement?" He suggested happily, visibly excited at the idea of keeping this conversation going elsewhere. "I'll show you a glimpse of what I've been working on these past few days."
"I like the sound of that." I replied just as happily.
With the help of my hips, his hands moved my body to the side, freeing his so that he could stand up from the couch: then, as he stared down into my eyes, he opened the palm of his hand to me.
"Then, let's get back to work... Shall we, sweetheart?"
I felt my pulse accelerate greatly upon hearing him call me by such a pet name, but I did my best to keep my composure as I nodded and put my palm in his.
Hand in hand, Stanford and I walked out of the room and headed to the basement, where we spent the rest of the day together, exchanging more than just words, until the sun went down and the moon went up.
Request: what if Bill because this dude is a psycho kills of sister reader after someone or something that made him angry. And what would be the reaction of the characters. Especially when being protective siblings before now losingey little sister
A/N: holy crap I haven't written anything in AGES, anyway, hope you enjoy this, also this will stray from canon a bit but ill try keep it as accurate as possible x
~*~*~*~*~
Bill held you tightly in-between his fingers, Mabel and Dipper clutched tightly in his others. You writhed and struggled but could not free yourself. You heard the desperate pleas of your great-uncles below you. You and your younger siblings attempted to free yourselves but the harder you tried to escape from Bill's grasp, the tighter he held onto you. Eventually, you and your siblings came to the realisation that you were not going to be freed without Bill freeing you himself. Your heart raced, your thoughts ran wild, your body was shaking intensely. The sound of your breathing picking up was only known to you, the shouts of your uncles drowning it out. Every sound inside your head came to an abrupt halt when the booming voice that belonged to Bill sounded throughout the room.
"I've got the kids~~~"
His voice had a hint of teasing to it, it made you feel nauseous. The look of horror that flashed across your uncles' faces caused hot tears to well up in your eyes.
"I think im gonna kill one of them now, just for the heck of it!"
The last part of that sentence seemed to cause time to stop. No, he couldn't do that, could he? The horrifying realisation hit you, at least one of the Pines' children would be dead in less than a minutes time.
No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No
Surely, he's just bluffing? He's trying to scare us, right? Your head whipped around to look at your dear brother and sister. Their expressions mirrored yours exactly.
None of you could live without one another. Especially the twins, how would Mabel be able to live without her twin brother there to warn and protect her from dangers she was too naïve to spot? How would Dipper live without his twin sister there to remind him to not overwork himself, to live in a better way? No, neither of them could live like that. But, could they live without you?
You squinted your eyes when a blinding, red light flashed throughout the room. The source of it was Bill's eye.
"Eeny. Meenie. Miny."
Symbols flashed each time a word fell from his mouth, each representing you and your siblings. First, a pine tree. Second, a shooting star. Thirdly, an angel. You were given the angel as your symbol since you were seen as the guardian angel of your siblings.
Perhaps that's why he stopped on you.
Symbols were no longer flashing, one stayed. The guardian angel. He was going to kill you. In less than a minute, you would be dead. You had no time to react before Bill snapped his finger and then,
you were dead.
~*~*~*~
Mabel and Dipper were dropped to the floor, along with your lifeless corpse. The sound of Stan and Ford's shouts rang throughout the room. Once they had recovered from the fall, Mabel and Dipper rushed to your body. Your eyes were closed, you looked so peaceful, so perfect. How could you look so perfect in a situation where its so far from perfect? Sobs fell from Mabels lips, throwing herself onto your body. Her big sister, gone forever. Dipper fell to his knees, too shocked to formulate a sentence or even a reaction. His face was blank as his chest rise and fell faster and faster, his breathing picking up rapidly. Screams and cries from Stan and Ford echoed around the room as their cage disappeared. They ran over to you faster than ever, falling to their knees the same way Dipper had.
No. No. No. How could he do such a thing? Why, why her? Why not Ford? Why not Stan? Why (Y/N)? Suddenly, a group of the townsfolk burst through the entrance, Bill too busy laughing at the sorrow he caused to notice such things. Fiddleford held the Quantum Distabiliser and fired it at Bill. Bill's form evaporated as all the weirdness surrounding everybody disappeared with Bill too. Everything was back to normal. Except, (Y/N) was gone.
The Pines' family found themselves in the woods. They ran, ran, and ran until they found your body. You were laying in a meadow, flowers surrounding your corpse, almost poetically. They fell beside your body and stared.
How could they possibly tell your parents their sweet, beloved daughter was just gone? How can they continue on, knowing that you're never going to come back? Knowing that they will never get to spend another moment in your lively presence? All they could do was cry, cry, cry.
~*~*~*~
Weeks had passed and your parents had come to Gravity Falls for your funeral. They saw it fitting you be buried here, where you spent the best summer of your life. The whole town had come in support. They hosted the funeral in that same meadow they found you in. Due to the grief, when they found you, the fact that you loved this meadow and went there almost daily slipped their mind. They found a swing you had crafted yourself on one of your trips here and surrounded it with flowers.
They buried you in that same spot they found you in, the same spot where they found you laying there with such a peaceful expression it almost made everything seem okay again.
After the funeral, the twins would visit that same spot constantly. Mabel would lay next to where you were buried and ramble about all her troubles for hours, knowing you'd be listening. Dipper would sit on the other side and write in his journal. After your passing, he had almost dedicated his journal to you. About how pretty, smart, caring and amazing you were in your life. Once he had finished his first journal about you, he dug up a small hole a few feet above where your coffin laid, and buried it there. To Dipper, he believed that burying it there would almost be like gifting it to you in the afterlife.
~*~*~*~*~
It had been years since your passing, all the Pines' still missed you dearly though. Not a day went by when they didn't think of you and your kind heart. Stan laid in his hospital bed, his health had been declining over those past few months. Mabel and Dipper sat beside him, the same way they did when you had died. He was dying, fast. They cried as they said their goodbyes, knowing he'd be gone soon. He assured them they'd be okay before taking his last breath. He reopened his eyes, looking towards the twins. Why couldn't they see him with his eyes open? Why were they still crying?
As he wondered these things, he saw a pale blue light in the corner, it was you.
"Long time no see Grunkle Stan."
Hi 👋🏽 I saw you were open for requests and was wondering if we could have some headcanons for teen! ford having a crush on gn! reader who he met on the beach one day when they were maybe around Wendy’s age? and maybe they shake Ford’s hand and don’t freak out like other people did. no rush, of course. please, and thank you.
Faded Photographs and Sandy Six Fingered Handshakes
This was fun to write :] I hope you enjoy! Also side note, I didn’t realise you said HCs and I wrote a one shot instead-
Teen!Ford x Teen!NB!Reader
Ford was no stranger to the beach. It was a familiar and safe place for him to be after school, a place where he would study in the dunes or chat with his twin brother on the swings.
However, today was a little different.
He was not alone on the beach, spotting a figure on the rocks beside the tide pools. As he approached, you came into focus and he could see what you were doing. You were crouched next to the tide pools, quickly writing something down in the journal you held before sticking your hand back into the cold water of the pools. Once you found something worth studying, you pulled your hand out of the waters, smiling as you looked at whatever creature or shell you had retrieved.
Curiosity got the better of him and Ford walked closer towards you, determined to learn about you. Carefully navigating the rocky terrain of the tide pools, Ford called out a soft ‘hello!’ to alert you to his presence. You whipped your head around to face him, surprised that someone had joined you in the tide pools. Gently returning the sea slug to the tide pool, you stood up and dried your hands off on your pants, “hello there!” You walked to Ford, making your way towards him with ease. The bespectacled teen watched in awe as you jumped around, clearly familiar and comfortable with the rocky ground before you ended up a few feet away from him.
“Hi! I’m (y/n)!” You wore a bright smile as you held out a hand for a handshake, which Ford was hesitant to accept. “Stanford, Stanford Pines,” he said as he took your hand in his, giving you a firm handshake with a nervous smile. When you didn’t let go of his hand, he began to panic on the inside. Had you noticed? Were you going to freak out and call him a weirdo? A freak? He was about to pull his hand away but you spoke up and he froze, preparing himself for ridicule.
But it never came.
“You have six fingers!” You exclaimed as you held his hand in both your hands, pure joy and amazement lacing your voice, “that’s so neat! You’re like… like a mythical creature! Or an anomaly! Not in a weird way- but in a cool way!“ You ramblings continued for a moment as you looked at his hand before looking up at him with a bright smile. Ford was blushing bright red, eyes wide in shock and surprise listening to you talk about him in such a positive manner. His heart began to beat faster, pattering away in his chest and he could swear you could hear it. Little did he know, the seed of a crush had planted itself in his heart.
“What were you doing out here in the tide pools?” Ford asked and you smiled brightly before opening your journal. You held up your most recent page, littered with notes and sketches of shells and small sea creatures, “taking notes and drawing the cool little things I find!” Closing the book again, you grabbed his hand before pulling him along to a tide pool, “here, let me show you!”
You let go of his hand once you reached a tide pool and you crouched, sticking your hand into the cold water as Ford crouched next to you. After fishing around for a moment, you found a little creature, gently grabbing it and pulling it out of the water. “Ta-da! A hermit crab!” You said, clearly proud of yourself as you grabbed his hand again and carefully set the little animal in his palm. He watched as the creature slowly emerged from its shell, wandering around on his hands as he smiled brightly. Ford looked up at you from the hermit crab you had placed in his hands, “are you here often? I’d like to talk and hang out with you more.” You looked up from the water before nodding, “I’m here almost everyday! We can hang out here and at school too,” you replied as you dried off your hands and stood up. Ford placed the crab back into the tide pool before standing as well, drying his hands on the front of his shirt.
“Here, let’s take a picture!” You exclaimed as you rummaged through your bag, whipping out a film camera with a proud grin. “S-sure! But wouldn’t we need someone else to take it?” Ford asked as you cranked the lever to move the film. “Nope! I’m just gonna guess and hope it turns out right,” you replied with a bright smile, chuckling at his surprised reaction. You slung an arm over Ford’s shoulders, pulling him close to you as you extended your arm with the camera facing towards the two of you, “say Belgian waffles!” You exclaimed with a laugh, your finger hovering over the shutter button. “Belgian waffles!” The two of you said in unison as you pressed the button.
With a bright flash, the picture was taken, documenting the first of many meetings between the two of you.
-
Ford smiled to himself as he gazed at the black and white photo, hearing you call out for him to join you and the younger Pines twins. That day on the beach was a fond memory, one he held close to his heart. He set the picture frame down before readjusting it slightly, allowing the light to glint off the glass and reflect off his wedding band before he turned to leave the room in search for you and the kids.
Stan: What kind of a maniac wakes up an hour early to write erotic fanfiction?
Ford: Me.
Y/N: Are there any shows or movies left in the world that you haven’t perved up?
Ford: No. That’s why I’ve started writing erotic friend fiction, using people at school and cryptids.
Fiddleford: Oh, do the janitor and the vice principal! I think they’d have beautiful children.
Ford: I did, and they don’t.
Older!Dipper pines x reader
~3.2k words Chapter 1 of Douce amere,
Master list
Tumblr media
The air in Gravity Falls was different. Maybe nostalgia clouded your perception, and maybe that was okay. It still smelled like pine and cedar and adventure here. And the day had that electric feel. It was the day they were coming.
Your alarm blared, and you groaned in response, grasping under your pillow to find your phone and silence it. Nine AM, on the dot. An early morning at the start of summer was a punishment in itself, but you had good reason today. Their bus came in at noon, and you had to be ready, meet them at the stop with the Grunkles and gang. You stumbled out of bed, and started to get dressed.
Half of you wanted to just wear pyjamas and spare yourself the trouble. The other half wanted to dress as nice as possible to snag attention. They hadn’t seen you in person in a year, even him. You sighed at yourself for giving into the stereotype, but you did want to catch his attention. No pyjamas today.
As you started to brush your teeth, you could feel the anxiety. As exciting as it was to start a new summer with them, it was scary too. What if they’ve changed? What if I’ve changed? You texted and called a lot, but…
You shook your head, trying to clear the thought. They were friends. Always were and always will be. You hoped.
Still, that wasn’t the only pain. You were older now. It was one of the last summers you’d be able to spend here with them before high school ended. You had to squeeze every bit of fun out of it while you could. Time seemed to slow here, but it still passed. Summer still ended eventually, despite everything.
You shook your head again. The very beginning wasn’t the time to think about the end.
Dressed and ready, you grabbed an apple and started to the mystery shack, a few hours before they were set to arrive. “Bye, Y/n! Have a good day!” you aunt shouted from the kitchen.
“Bye, Susan, you too!” You called back. She was incredibly kind to let you stay with her, lazy Susan.
The shack was close, and the soft grass folded under your shoes and wet them with dew. “Y/n!” You hear Soos call from the porch. He was still sporting the question mark shirt, but it was under a suit jacket, and the hat he wore was the fez Stan had given him all those years ago.
“Soos!” You shouted back, waving as you jogged your to him.
“Dude, I am so stoked for today, you don’t even know,” he said, leading you inside.
“Dude, I know too well,” you laughed. “Ugh I can’t wait, I should have slept in more.”
Wendy popped her head in from the break room, “amen, man, I’ve been here since seven.”
You cringed, and clenched a fist near your chest, “My condolences.”
The mid morning passed quickly though, despite everything. There was still that static feeling, and it only grew as the day went. And eventually, the time did in fact come. The time to go to the bus stop and meet them. You had to. All of you. Stan, Ford, Soos, Wendy, none of you were willing to prolong the meeting any further. The only shame was that Candy and Grenda were still out of town.
                                             …
The bus was rolling in, all to slowly for your liking. For everyone’s liking. You could feel how the people around you were buzzing with excitement too. One year was far to long away from these people. Your people. The bus came to a stop seemingly at your feet.
The door seemed to slide open agonizingly slowly, but against all odds, it opened. Out came Mabel, screaming.
”Aaaaaugh! Guys!” She yelled, jumping out of the bus and skipping the stairs. She threw he luggage aside as she managed to envelope everyone in a group hug before they had time to respond.
Stan was the first to recover, quickly leaning into the hug. “Kid, you get taller every time I see you!”
Ford laughed, “You almost beat Stan and I.”
You almost spoke, but your eye caught on the second person leaving the bus. Dipper had a wide smile on his face as he watched the scene. With a sigh, he placed his bags with Mabel’s and joined he hug.
“Dip!” You found yourself exclaiming, along with Wendy. The both of you maneuvered to let him in the centre of the hug.
There they were, at last. Dipper and Mabel, Mabel and Dipper. Here. Home. You smiled, barely hearing the words around you as you buried your face in Mabel’s hair and Dipper shoulder. They smelt a bit musty from the bus ride, and a bit like Mabel’s strawberry shampoo. This was the place to be. You squeezed tighter. So did they.
                                               …
Walking back to the shack was nice, pleasant, nostalgic. Dipper and Ford talked science, while Stan interjected to call them nerds. Soos and Wendy were chatting, and You and Mabel were catching up behind them.
It wasn’t like you didn’t call and text, but there was so much you had to just say. But Mabel was, on occasion, a stinker. She had a smug grin on her face as she drifted back a bit behind he others, prompting you to follow.
“So Y/n, are you gonna do anything about your crush on-“
You threw your hand towards Mabel, and covered her mouth before she got his name out. She immediately started to lick it, but you stayed strong. Your head whipped in front of you to Dipper and the rest of them before looking back to Mabel, who’s smirk you could see in her eyes. “Dude, what the fuck?” You whispered. Or maybe it was more of a hiss. “Don’t just say that! Not now!” You wiped your wet hand on your pants.
She giggled. “Fine, fine,” Mabel shrugged, still smirking smugly. “Just trying to help is all.”
You pursed your lips, and squinted at her. “Somehow I don’t believe that… and who says I need help?” You turned your head away from her with an uplifted chin to add an air of smug snottiness to your question.
“Uhh, the fact that you’ve been pining for like, two years, and are still single?” Mabel said dryly. You could still hear the shit eating grin in her voice, “But hey, what’s a professional matchmaker to that, hmm?”
You winced, “Okay you have a point.” You snapped your eyes back to her, and smiled, a slightly evil and cunning smile. “But this summer, I have a plan… this is the one I can feel it.”
Mabel faked a gasp, pressing her palm to her open mouth, “My gosh? A plan?” She mocked. “You sound like Dipstick now.”
”Oh god, don’t say that,” you laughed. “This isn’t like his plans, this one is simple, honestly.
Mabel looked quizzically at you in response. Her hands started to come it her eyes, nearly forming her skepticals.
”No really, don’t even with that,” you said, swatting her hands down. “I say plan but it’s really just… an idea. I’m just gonna flirt, like a lot. Like really smooth, hopefully. Or try to, at least.” Saying it out loud, you almost felt embarrassed, a slight heat creeping onto your cheeks.
Mabel on the other hand, looked ecstatic. Her head was on a swivel looking between you and Dipper. “Okay, that’s a plan I can get behind,” she said. “I think you could have moves, I see the potential.”
You stifled a laugh, “Glad to hear it, glad your rooting for me.”
”Of course I am!” She said, hands flying into the hair for effect. She turned to you as you walked, and pointed to your face with one hand, the other resting on her hip. “And I will do my absolute best to assist your noble quest whenever possible, should you choose to call upon my services!”
You played into the bit. “Appreciated, you are like my loyal knight and this is a war which we must win together.” You clasped her pointing hand in yours, “We will prevail!”
Mabel’s eyes lit up, “Fuck yeah we will!” She yelled. A bit too loud. Dipper and Soos turned their heads in front of you, shooting you curious looks.
Ever smooth, you shot them back a snap and a finger gun. Dipper only smiled, giving Soos a light punch punch the  arm before drifting back to walk with you and Mabel, at your side. He laughed, “Fuck yeah you will what?”
You smirked, and stroked your chin with faux smugness. “Mmm, wouldn’t you like to know, Dip.”
Mabel chimed in, “Yeah, we got secrets, we’re scheming!”
Dipper rolled his eyes as he chuckled, “God, that has to be a new record for you guys, we’ve been here a whole five minutes and you’re already plotting shit.”
You smirked, and did your best to maintain eye contact. “Hey, I always am, it’s how I keep life interesting.”
”Life is very much that when you’re involved,” Dipper laughed.
You could feel Mabel’s eyes burning into the back of your skull as she held her tongue and listened to your banter. Involuntarily, your smile widened.
”And I wouldn’t have it any other way,” he said.
You laughed, “You couldn’t even if you wanted to.”
He blushed, his cheeks turning a slight pink colour, hopefully at your comment. First blush of the summer, hopefully the first of many you’d get from him, he was rather cute when he blushed. You were particularly fond of how the corners of his mouth curled up when he did, in the slightest of smiles.
”Welcome home, kids!” You heard Stan yell in front of you.  He turned around to walk backwards toward the shack so he was facing you and the twins. “Finally, am I right?”
Ford kept his back to you, but turned his head so you could see his eyes, “we’ve been looking forward to you kids coming back for a while, if you couldn’t tell.”
”Stans been driving me up the walls talking about you guys for months,” Wendy chuckled. “Y/n too for the last few days.”
You couldn’t help yourself, ”Hey, I did not!” you defended.
Soos snickered, “dude, you totally did.”
You pursed your lips and hummed lowly in disapproval. They were probably right, but that wasn’t something you’d outwardly admit. “Yeah whatever, nerds, that’s not how I remember it.”
Stan cackled, ”The congratulations, you got Alzheimer’s before the seventy year old man!”
You grumbled, trapped in this conversational corner. Mabel smiled, and elbowed your side, “Awww, somebody missed us!”
Dipper spoke too, “That much?” he asked, a little too innocently. Innocent enough to be mocking.
You scoffed, “like you guys are any better.”
You all moved inside the shack to get settled in the living room, all still chatting. Dipper and Mabel’s suit cases were leaned against a wall by the stairs.
Mabel pushed Dipper hard on the back towards you. “You’re right, Y/n, this little rascal hasn’t shut up about you guys for a week.” Dipper whipped his head around to glare at her, as if a threat. She snickered, “especially you, Y/n,” she teased.
Dipper spun his head back around to look at you, and rubbed the back of his neck. “Not like that-“he sputtered, a blush in his cheeks.
You smiled. If you had to guess, you’d call if fifty/fifty it was actually not like that. You hoped anyway. Fifty/fifty on a good day, twenty-five/seventy-five against you on most others. “I believe it, Mabel is a half reliable source at best.”
”Hey!”
Stan chimed in and spoke to Mabel, “Hate to agree with Y/n, but they are completely right, sweetie.”
                                             …
The conversation moved, and you all caught up with everyone. As much as you already had, having arrived a few days before the twins, there was always more to say, more stories to tell. A lot can happened between summers.
And eventually, it simmered down, and the twins started to try and settle in.
There was a double edged sword to that, being, the twins still shared a room despite their age. It was slightly more annoying now then it was when they were twelve, especially to you, who occasionally wanted to hangout there with Dipper, and divorce yourself from Mabel’s match making antics from time to time.
Mabel took her bags up first, running up the stairs with haste and excitement. You walked up behind Dipper, catching his attention, and did you best at a little bow. “May I help with your bags, m’lady,” you asked.
Dipper grimaced and recoiled, but a smile crossed his lips. “You sound like a redditor,” he snickered as he started to pick up his suitcases.
You shrugged, “Your loss.”
He smiled, “I wouldn’t let m’lady strained their perfect hands.”
You laughed as you walked with him up the stairs. “Ew, yeah, I hear it. Never again, no more m’lady, too neckbeard for me.”
”Good, because I took a lot of psychic damage from that,” he said. “You can mimic the Redditor mannerisms with freakish accuracy, right down to the face.”
You put your hand to your chest, feigning hurt. “I take incredible offence to that, I do not have Reddit face,” you scoffed.
As you approached the door to the attic, you stepped in front of Dipper to open it for him, who had full hands. Mabel was already laying on the bed with Waddles, kicking her feet in the air as she laid on her stomach. There were already posters on the wall and stuffed animals on the bed, too.
Dipper barely batted and eye, moving to his side of the room with a small comment, “you work fast.”
Mabel shocked, ”You know me, they call me sonic in the-“
“Buddy,” you cut her off. “You finishing that sentence would actually kill me.”
She smirked, and rolled on her back to face you. “There’s a joke there about finishing, but I don’t wanna look for it.”
”Everyday you find new ways to disgust me.”
“Imagine living with her,” Dipper added, taking folded clothes out of his suitcase.
Mabel grumbled, but said nothing and instead rolling over and looked at her phone. Waddles oinked beside her.
“Hey, it’s summer, I can imagine it perfectly well.”
Dipper laughed, and sat on the bed, looking at you with a smile. “Yeah… you do pretty much live here in the summer, huh?”
You sat down next to him, and grabbed the old musty pillow that rested at the head. “Good thing or bad thing?”
He looked away, and laughed slightly, “Good thing.”
                                            …
The day went by, remarkably fast. The sun set, the energy simmered, people left. Soos and Wendy went home, leaving you chatting with Stans late at night. You didn’t quite want to leave yet. Instead, you nodded and snapped a finger gun to Stan and Ford, and quietly ascended the stairs to the twins room.
Mabel was sleeping already, snoring lightly. Not loud enough to bother you much. Dipper though, was reading. A small lamp in the bedside table illuminated the small space by his bed, where he sat upright against the headboard. “Dip,” you said quietly. “What are we reading?”
He looked up from his novel with wide eyes, as if broken from a trance. “Oh, God- y/n,” he stuttered, startled. “Are you staying over?”
You bounded over to the bed and took a seat next to him, nestling your feet under the blanket. “Yeah, but that’s not the point,” you said, leaning on his shoulder and glancing at the books pages. “What are we reading?”
His skin was warm on your hands and arms as you leaned on him. His loose t-shirt was soft, too. He stammered a bit, “Oh, well- it’s a mystery novel, a murder, detectives…” Dipper looked at you for a flicker, as if checking to see if you were still interested. “There’s these two brothers that are the main characters, and this one guy who’s their partner.” Dipper taps the pages, and chews his lip. “But I have my suspicions about one of them.”
You hum slightly in a hushed laugh. “So tell me now, who’s the killer?”
Dipper rolled his neck, cracking it. “Man, I really think it’s the partner guy, but it’s awful because one of the brothers is in love with him.”
You winced, “oh shit.” You knew the feeling, empathy for a doomed character. “That kind of sucks for him.” Dipper nodded, and turned the page. He was maybe halfway through the book. you read along with him, trying to gain whatever you could from the out of context scenes. “So should I pick it up, or wait for you to finish it so I can read your next book with you?”
Very quickly you felt heat radiating from him. You did your best not to pull away in the inherent embarrassment of closeness, pushing though the fact that you made him blush again to stay leaned against him, your chin rested gently near his collar bone. “Well I mean- this one is really good, I’ll admit, but I may have just spoiled it for you…”
You waved your hand as he turned another page. “Eh, I don’t mind too bad. Mystery isn’t even my main genre, I just love the book club,” you said. It was nothing but true, it didn’t matter the quality of the book if you were reading it with him, or anyone really. But mainly him, or sometimes Mabel. Even if it was the worst book ever written, it was at least fun to discuss it and make fun of it together.
“Well in that case, yeah I’d recommend it,” he said. “Wanna borrow my copy when I finish?”
”Mmhmmm,” you hummed, tired. “Or I could just read with you, I guess. I’m sure the first half wasn’t that important.”
Dipper shook his head, a slight and baffled smile forming across his lips. “I disrespectfully disagree with you,” he said, turning the page.
You yawned, “That’s… rude.” Your eyes were sluggish as they followed along with the words. Dipper started to turn the page again, before you were ready. You quickly cut him off, “Hey, hey, wait for me, I’m tired, alright?”
He turned the page back, “Alright, alright,” he yawned in response.
You pawed at the pages when you finished, and on the next one, Dipper waited for you to do it again before turning it. And then, again.
And somewhere along the way, you fell asleep, sitting with him on his bed, head leaned on his shoulder, and feet warmly huddled under the blanket. It was summer, and everything was okay again, home, in gravity falls. Whatever the summer held for you, whether it be mystery, adventure, love… you were ready. Whatever summer could throw at you, you were ready
CHAPTER ONE ;; Return to the Falls
DIPPER'S P.O.V.
"It's only been six years since you've been to Gravity Falls, it's fine-!"
"Dip, you're mumbling to yourself again."
Mabel commented, lightly pushing my shoulder.
"Oh, shit- Sorry,"
I laugh nervously, rubbing my wrists.
"You're anxious over nothing Dipping Sauce, it's just the old gang! We saved the world together, it'll be fine."
She reassured. We were about maybe 6 minutes from the stop in Gravity Falls, and it'd been six years since Weirdmageddon. We just graduated Highschool and decided to start our first summer out of school back at Gravity Falls. Mabel kept in contact with Grenda and Candy, and I had Wendy's phone number, but I was always too scared to start a conversation. Mabel says I need to just 'talk to her like a normal person' the same way I did in person, but it's, different, I guess.
"Dipper! It's the sign!"
Mabel jumped in her seat and pointed at the old 'Gravity Falls' sign. I smiled and tried relaxing. While going to high school, I got recommended to a counselor for my apparent social anxiety, which I had no idea I had until someone brought the idea to mind. I've found a few coping mechanisms for my anxiety, and currently, none of them were working for this anxiety.
"Last stop, Gravity Falls."
The bus driver called, and Mabel leaped from her seat, grabbed her suitcase and backpack, and ran out the door, Waddle following close behind her. I picked up my bag and suitcase as well, following her close behind with nervousness running down my spine.
I walked out of the bus to see Mabel group hugging Grenda and Mabel, and being greeted by Grunkle Ford and Stan, Soos, and Wendy.
"Hey, dude,"
Wendy called, grabbing her hat off my head and putting my old pine tree hat back on my hat, pushing the brim of it which pulled a laugh from me.
"Hey, Wendy."
I smiled and blushed awkwardly, putting my hands in my pockets.
"Dude, you hit a huge growth spurt."
She laughed, and Soos stood next to me for comparison, I was almost as tall as him.
"Dude, you're almost as tall as me!"
He commented, smiling and I laughed in response.
~TIMESKIP~
After our little meeting, we decided to walk back to the shack, just to view the changes in town, and see old friends. While walking, there was a new face spotted leaving a grocery store, waving bye to the owner. Around Y/H (Your Height), and S/C (Your Skin Color), they wore a C/C (Color of Choice) sweater and jeans, with a ruby pendant.
"Woahh, who's that cutie?!"
Mabel called out, guess they caught both our eyes. Figures. I discovered I was probably bi in high school, Mabel of course, being omnisexual, was more than supportive, which didn't really surprise me since she cut my hair and helped me bind my chest whenever I found out I was trans. She had way more luck with guys and gals, however.
"Oh, yeah, that's Y/N Sphinx. They don't come into town much."
Wendy explained, putting her hands in her pockets.
"Yeah, they're some kinda hermit, back when I lived here I only saw them out like, once."
Grunkle Stan added, humming suspiciously.
"So, do they not have any friends?"
Mabel hummed sadly.
"No, we have even tried befriending them, and they do not seem interested."
Candy commented, and I noticed Mabel get a sparkle in her eye.
"Mabel." I said sternly,
"Common Dipper! They need a friend!"
She cried.
"Can we at least go put out stuff in the shack-?!"
I plead before she ran off saying "Nope!" in response, and I chased after her, crying out to her.
YOUR P.O.V.
"Finally done with groceries.."
I sighed, thinking to myself, before looking over my grocery list quickly and humming, putting it in my jean pocket, and I continued walking. I was never a fan of socializing or being out in the town, nothing against the townsfolk. Lazy Susan was a sweetheart, and funny enough Tyler Cutebiker, now Mayor Tyler Cutebiker, and I got along pretty well, I just always kinda got drained from talking to almost anyone besides forest creatures.
"Hey, hey, heyyy!"
I heard someone call out to me and I turned around, stopping in my tracks and looking at the brunette girl who approached me, wearing a pink sweater, and a very similar boy following behind her, having to lean down and take a breath.
"Um- Hi- Can I help you-?"
I asked nervously.
"Hi! I'm Mabel, Mabel Pines, and this is my brother! Dipper!"
Mabel responded, introducing the two of them. She put her hand on her brother's back, patting it while he struggled to breathe. I smiled nervously, laughing lightly at Dipper's struggle for breathing.
I could instantly tell their dynamic, Mabel is the heart and Dipper is the brain, Mabel probably drags them into chaos all the time. I really gotta write that dynamic sometime..
"Hi, I'm so sorry about my sister,"
Dipper apologized, standing up to his full height, he's much taller than I thought- He coughed nervously, putting his hands in his pockets and avoiding eye contact.
"Oh, you're alright- You said 'Pines' right-? Are you related to the Mystery Shack guy?"
I asked, being polite.
"Yeah! He's our Great Uncle Stan!"
Mabel smiled, placing her hands on her hips.
"Oh, cool-! So, can I help you with anything-?"
I smiled nervously, not sure what to do.
"Uhh nope! I just wanted to say hi and compliment your sweater!"
Mabel added, having a bit of a jump in her step.
"Oh, I see- Thank you, my sister made it for me."
I laughed awkwardly, holding my grocery bags in both hands in front of me. We stood in awkward silence for a moment, clearing affecting Dipper and I more than Mabel, before I broke it.
"Well, thank you-! It's been a pleasure but I should be off, uh bye-!"
I stammered quickly before walking off around the corner. Once I got around the corner I let out a breath I didn't even know I was holding.
The twins stood there, Mabel and Dipper looking at each other in confusion about the sudden hurry to leave.
Hello! I think I would love love to see something about mechanic!eddie written by you
Ahh! I love mechanic!Eddie, he’s so yummy. 😌
Mechanic!Eddie Munson x Reader
Summary: Reader’s shit box car pooped out on her once again, but at least the cute new mechanic seems eager to help.
Content Warnings: adult language, mutual pining, sexual tension, Eddie is a little handsy but we love it 🤪
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
The sound of the engine sputtering over the radio snatched her attention from the daydream she was stuck in, her heart lurching in fear.
“No, no, no, please, baby, don’t do this to me.” She whined, patting the steering wheel with restraint from beating the shit out of the horn in aggravation.
“We’re almost to the shop, then you can die in peace, but please, for the love of GOD, don’t quit on me now!” She cried, tears welling up in her eyes and threatening to pour without ceasing.
The car troubles had been endless since she’d gotten the car, but more so this month, also bringing Y/n to her breaking point multiple times. Every time the old Chevelle made this sound, she felt nauseous trying to get where she needed to go.
She avoided this trip to the garage since the last time she drove, which was the to the grocery store. The engine wouldn’t turn over, deserting her and her groceries in the summer heat.
Since then, she’s been hitching rides with her friends, Robin and Steve, who were more than happy to assist her. But she was beginning to feel like a burden.
Thankfully, she finally saved what she hoped was enough to get Loretta sorted out.
So after a week of sitting in the driveway, her owner not positively sure if she’d even start, Loretta turned over, the engine purring like any other drive.
Y/n had cried out with joy at the ease, hoping the rest of the trip would go just as well.
Boy was that a kick in the crotch.
Click click click click
“Shit, no—please, please, please,” She turned the wheel to pull off the road, the sign of the mechanic’s not even 100 yards away.
“NO! NoNoNoNo, FUCK!” She screamed, beating the wheel as cars whizzed past, rocking the unmoving car.
Y/n rested her forehead against the wheel and breathed deeply. “Okay. Okay. Just—let’s go.” She said to herself, hoping the mechanic knew a good tow truck.
The day was hot, the sun beating down on her exposed legs, neck and shoulders, her hair thrown up in a scrunchy to beat the heat.
She went inside looking for the familiar face that sat behind the desk, but the lobby was empty.
Y/n walked through the back door into the shop, hoping to find the regular old man underneath a lift, evaluating the undercarriage of someone’s Trans Am, but the garage sat vacant with the exception of one other person.
He stood by the floor to ceiling shelves which were filled with different bottles of oil and antifreeze and tins of nuts and bolts.
His coveralls were very unbuttoned, exposing the black tank top he wore underneath, a patch over his heart read Eddie. He let out a wonderful sigh as he wiped his brow with his shoulder.
He was bent over the engine of a ford Bronco, a ratchet clicking rhythmically as he tightened something up when he noticed her, his hair all around his face despite the heat.
“Hi.” She squeaked out, preparing herself for interaction with a super cute stranger. His face was friendly, his eyes round and seemingly full of questions.
“Hey, there. How can I help you?” He asked, straightening to his full height and setting down the tool to pick up a red rag, cleaning his dark stained hands as he approached her.
“Hi, uh, i-is Gary here?” She asked, internally cringing when she realized she said hi twice. He didn’t seem to notice or care when he smiled amusedly down at her and shook his head, “Uh, he isn’t here today, but I’m more than happy to help you if I can.”
Y/n tried not to melt at the way he spoke to her, his voice smooth and even. “I-I would love some help, yes.” She nodded, speaking to the best of her ability and leading him outside. “Uh, m-my car has been making these weird noises for—“
“Sweetheart, did you… bring your…car?” He asked kindly when he noticed there wasn’t any other cars besides his own in the lot. Y/n’s face warmed.
“Oh, uh, that’s what I needed to talk to Gary about the most—she’s up the road a little ways. She died on the way over.” She shrugged.
Eddie nodded, new understanding behind his eyes as he craned his neck to see the car on the side of the road in the distance. “I’m so sorry for your loss.” He joked.
He nodded again, walking the few steps over to the switch panel on the wall, turning off the air compressor that typically roared in the back. It was odd to hear the shop so quiet without its noise. They sudden felt so… alone.
“I can, uh, tow her up here for you.” He offered, nodding over to his truck parked out front. It was a charming old white square body that has seen better days, but it was large, and could definitely pull Loretta.
Eddie picked up a very thick chain from the corner of the shop that had a large hook on the end.
“Oh, uh, are you sure? I was just gonna ask to phone a tow truck—“
“Pfft, tow truck…” he muttered under his breath with a smile as he lifted the chain into the bed of the truck. He then stepped over to the door and opened it with a creak. “Here, hop in.” He stood waiting, the sweep of his hand in the air making her smile exactly how he wanted.
“C’mon in… I won’t bite.” He said with a friendly smile that put her more at ease. She hopped in the truck, taking his waiting hand on the way much to his delight.
On the short ride over, Y/n remembered to introduce herself, at which he smiled and gave her his name in return.
“You, uh, new? At the garage? I’ve just never seen you there before.” She’d asked.
Eddie nodded with his eyes on the road, “Yeah, I just started earlier this month. I take it you’re, uh, at the shop often?” He grinned looking at her pooped out car, getting turned around to park in front of it.
“Was it that obvious?” She chuckled as he opened the drivers side door, hopping out after him. “If I say yes, is that mean?” He asked, half joking as he pulled the chain back out, the weight of it in his hands making the veins in his forearms strain against his skin as he walked.
“I-Is there anything you need me to do?” She asked, trying to be polite for the man going out of his way to help her. Eddie smiled to himself as he bent over to hook the chain to the hitch on his truck, specifically for instances like these.
His hair fell in his eyes as he tried to look at her, his hand flying up to comb it out of the way for the thousandth time that day. Y/n noticed his exasperation, “You need a ponytail?” She asked, raising her wrist to feel if she had one on her, which she didn’t.
Eddie’s eye’s lit up at the offer, closely followed by the breath being stolen from him as she pulled the red scrunchy from her hair and offered it to him. He felt like it was one of those moments in the movies where the girl lets her hair down in slow motion, the lighting hitting her perfectly.
“Here, use mine.” She smiled at his sudden change in demeanor. He set the other end of the chain on the ground, reaching out and taking the ponytail from her and hastily wrapping it around his hair in a bun that both caught her breath in her throat and warmed her heart.
“Thanks, doll.” He said as he picked up the chain and felt under the edge of the car for the best place to hook onto, but the chain came up a few inches short. “Think you could back my truck up just a bit?” He looked up from the ground to ask her, one eye squinted in defense against the light. The cute yet simple expression on his face made her want to fight the sun.
“Uh, of course! Yeah. Just a few inches?”
“Just a few inches,” he said reassuringly, “and I’ll let you know when to stop.”
Y/n nodded and walked back to the truck, the sight of her cute little Levi shorts hopping into the cab of his truck made Eddie smile and bite down on his lip as she started his engine.
He stood where he could see her in the side mirror, her smile returning when she caught the view of him grinning back at her as he raised his hand giving her the ‘come here’ motion with a hungry look brewing behind his eyes and a smirk pulling at his lips.
Y/n switched gears and eased off the break, letting the truck roll back slowly, not taking her eyes off Eddie’s reflection in the mirror. She worried she was staring at him too much, but little did she know he was loving the eye contact.
So much so, he sent her a friendly wink through the mirror, the action sending her heart pounding and her foot down on the break, the truck halting immediately. Eddie chuckled, “Little more, sweetheart.” He called, his fingers moving back and forth some more to summon her.
She took a deep breath as she eased her foot off the pedal again, rolling back for a couple more seconds before she heard him say, “There! that’s perfect.”
She put the truck in park and hopped back out. Eddie enjoyed the view as she walked back to him at a determined pace, her hair and other things bouncing with every stride. He hooked onto the front bumper and stood, their bodies suddenly very close.
“Alright, that should get us back to the shop.” He patted the hood of her car approvingly before walking back to the truck and opening the door for her, waiting with a smile.
“Y’know I could’ve just used the passenger door.” She said as she scooted across the bench seat of the truck. Eddie shut the door and turned to her with a playful smile, “Yeah, well, I like to open doors for nice girls such as yourself,” He shrugged, meeting her eyes with a blush, satisfied when he saw she wore a matching one.
“Also, because, that door sticks like no other and probably won’t open even if you tried.” He chuckled, his smile encouraging her to laugh too.
“You, uh, know Gary personally? Or just as your mechanic?” He asked, eager to hear about any part of her she wanted to share in this time they had together.
“He’s been working on Loretta since I got her on my 17th—“
“Loretta?” He asked with a quirked eyebrow, a new smile spreading on his lips.
“Yeah, what about it?” She said with a ‘try me’ smile blooming.
Eddie shook his head with a smile, “Nothing! Please, continue, tell me how you got Loretta.”
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
After they got back to the shop and unloaded Loretta into a bay, Eddie popped the hood. He peered down inside leaning his hands on the edge of the frame. Y/n sat on a stool to one side of the car with her chin resting on her hand.
Eddie straightened for a moment, relieving some tension in his back and sighing, “You need a new fan belt, babe”. He mentioned passively while poking around inside, the nickname sending Y/n’s heart pinging around inside her body like a pinball.
“Maybe some new head gaskets—I’m gonna see if cleaning them will do the trick, though. Try and save you some money… maybe check the fuel pump too..” he spoke his train of thought, walking around to grab a jack and rolling it to the rear bumper of the car and pumping the long handle, making eye contact with her as he did.
His smirk stayed hidden in the corners of his mouth, telling her everything she needed to know about his angle. She appreciated how kind he was instead of making her uncomfortable, being used men in this field coming on strong. But not Eddie.
His smug smile grew when he caught her staring, waiting for her to break the eye contact, but instead she started giggling which sent him repressing his own. “What?” He asked incredulously.
“I dunno, you make me laugh.” She shrugged watching him grab a couple different tools and laying them out on the ground under the suspended end of the car. His head popped back up with his best serious face he could muster, “Who me?” He asked with his brows drawn together, her confidence shaking.
He stepped over to the radio on the shelf and flipped it on, You Shook Me All Night Long by AC/DC blared through the speaker as he picked up a stray wrench and bobbed his head for a bit before he began to lip sync into it like a microphone, a smile instantly growing on her face at his antics.
Once he saw it, he couldn’t stop until he reached her, adding in a twirl or a sway here and there which had her giggling profusely. He stood in front of her, the song almost complete, except then she started singing along, encouraging him to sing the lyrics with her.
His eyes and smile widened, holding his hand out for her. As soon as her hand clasped his, she was out of her seat, spinning around at Eddie’s will.
They danced in the empty shop til the song faded into commercials, the busy transitions halting them, he cleared his throat and removed his hand from her waist, their gazes lingering before Eddie blushed and looked back down at the wrench he held.
“I like making you laugh.” He mentioned casually through a coy smile as he stepped back over to the engine and set the tool down next to the others, choosing a screwdriver for the job instead.
She bit back a grin, hopping back up on the stool and enjoying the view. They talked about this and that, random life anecdotes that came up, preferences between music and drinks, which brought them to talk about his band’s regular shows at the Hideout and the ‘bad ass lemon drop shots’ the bartender mixes up special when she mentioned her favorite candies are sour.
Eddie enjoyed the conversation, feeling her gaze on him, seeing her legs swinging easily from the high stool next to the work bench. It all felt so incredibly easy, almost routine it seemed.
At some point she disappeared into the front room, returning with a couple of cold sodas from the vending machine.
As Eddie rinsed the head gaskets in the deep shop sink, he snuck a peek at the girl over his shoulder, finding her adoring eyes on him with a smile tugging at her lips. His cheeks burned before he turned back around and set the parts to the side to dry, walking back to see her, yet again.
“How’re you holding up, sweet thing?” He asked, his voice picking up a gravelly quality with the end of the day nearing. He leaned his hip against the table, his eyebrows raising as she set the can of coke in front of him.
“For moi?” He set a hand to his chest. “A scrunchy and a coke, you sure know how to treat a fella.” He winked as he popped the tab, tilting the can back for a generous glug that bobbed his Adams apple.
“Thank you, really. I’m hoping this does the trick.” He gestured to the head gaskets drying and the newly installed fan belt.
Truth be told, he was taking his sweet time on this little four hour max peoject, loving the time spent with the pretty girl in the short shorts that said nice things and smiled at him the way she did.
“Can you show me?” She asked, looking at the exposed engine of her beloved Loretta. “What, the new fan belt? Yeah! C’mere.” He waved her over.
“This is where the fan belt is, without it your engine isn’t getting any power, so the way your old one looks compared to the new one—“ He picked the abandoned, ragged serpentine belt from the ground to hold up to her to see. Her eyes went wide with embarrassment.
“Oh god.”
“Have you ever had it changed?” He asked with a chuckle, tossing the rubber back to the side and crossing his arms across his chest, his forearm grazing the top of her breast as he did. His smug smile gave his eye a mischievous gleam that felt teasing.
“N-Not that I know of.” She stumbled quietly, a blush on her cheeks that she could still pass off as the summer heat. Eddie tsked and chuckled at her shy disposition, her face towards their shoes that almost stood toe to toe.
“This old girl is gonna need regular maintenance if you wanna keep her on the road for a few more years.” He said with a shrug, stepping back to the other side of the car to grab the head gaskets to put back. Y/n looked back up at his retreating figure to take in the information.
‘Fuck.’ She sighed.
“But, uh, I make house calls if you’re interested! Y’know i-if you can’t make it out here.” He faltered, looking down at the metal in his hand, suddenly unsure of what to do with it.
Her heart leapt in her chest as she met his eye again, the look on her face a green light if he ever saw one. He smiled and set the gasket back down, moving back towards her.
He reached over on the workbench, finding a pencil and notepad usually used for writing job estimates, and wrote his phone number down, signing it with ‘if you need me -Eddie Munson (:’
He folded it in half and handed it to her, her breath slowly getting heavier the longer he looked at her the way he did.
“Or if you ever want to hit up the Hideout and get drinks or.. if you need a dance partner… I’m your guy.” He looked between her beautiful eyes and tried his best not to get lost in them while waiting for her to say something.
She smiled as she slid the paper in her pocket, nodding. “Y’know, I’m always in need of a dance partner.”
Eddie almost blanched at her response, not being a dance club kinda guy, but willing to try for her if it meant getting to be near her again. “Oh, yeah?” He asked nervously, her arms landing on his shoulders as her hands clasped at the back of his neck, his hands not hesitating to wind around her waist.
She giggled and nodded, “Well, if you count getting a little messed up and dancing around my living room… yeah, I need a dance partner desperately.” She said quietly in the space between them.
Eddie smiled widely and dropped his forehead against hers tentatively, only leaning in fully when she raised up on her toes to press hers against his. “I’d be more than happy to help you there, it’s the least I could do, you know, I’ve never had this much fun changing a fan belt!” He revealed with his eyes closed, delighted when he felt her giggle ring out against him.
“Yeah, well, I definitely don’t do this with Gary.” She joked with closed eyes, smiling when he threw his his head back in unbridled giggles.
“Oh, god, I sure hope not.” He shook his head down at her her, noticing immediately her eyes were on his lips. “Y’know.. I was thinking if you let kiss you I’d consider the job paid for..” he said quietly, his shyness coming back in to play.
Y/n’s eyes flashed excitement or intrigue, though Eddie couldn’t be for sure. “O-Or I could take you out first, yeah? W-Whatever works—“ She cut him off by pulling him down to her, their lips moving in tandem.
He sighed into her softness, his hands winding around her waist as he felt her raise up on her tip toes and lean into him. He loved how his nose felt pressed into her cheek.
She broke the kiss after thirty seconds, lingering close, looking back up to his deep dark eyes that stared back at her, a smile working onto his face.
“Or… why not both?” She smirked.
He nodded, “I like the way you think.” He said before pressing one more quick kiss to her unsuspecting lips. “Ha! Got one more.” He said as he slipped out of her grip to reassemble the head gaskets, her eyes following him everywhere with even more intent now.
It was then she noticed how cute his butt was in his jumpsuit, or how good her red scrunchy looked keeping his hair out of his face. He made his way back to Loretta, setting the freshly clean and dry parts on a towel on the tool box next to him.
She’d look away shyly when he’d try to steal a glance at her, both of their mouths tucking away bashful grins as he worked in their comfortable silence.
Thirty minutes later, the moment of truth came. Eddie’s heart pounded against his chest as sat behind Loretta’s wheel, worried if he didn’t have it fixed she wouldn’t be impressed and tell him to forget their plans to meet for drinks or whatever else it could lead to. He glanced to Y/n before turning the key in the ignition, their eyes locking when the engine only clicked.
Eddie’s jaw dropped disappointedly, looking at the dash of the car in betrayal. “Damn it.” He muttered, trying again to be met with the same outcome.
Y/n walked around to the driver door, looking at Eddie with a half hearted smile, “It’s okay! I can definitely pay for head gaskets…. and drinks” She nodded assuringly. Eddie looked back up at her with wide eyes, “Really?” His facade fully dismantled, the worry prominent on his face.
Y/n cocked her head in disbelief and leaned down to the window, her eyes scanning over his face, “Y’know you could’ve caught my car on fire and I would’ve still gone with you to get a drink? I mean you’d definitely be paying, but—“ before she knew it, Eddie was leaning through the open window and pressing his lips to hers in another tender kiss.
He felt her smile into him and her hands found his face, pulling him closer. He placed his worn hands over hers, wanting to stay in her touch as long as possible before they parted.
“I will be needing a ride home, though. So if you’d like to help me out there I’m prepared to compensate you generously.” She said widening her eyes for emphasis and biting her lip.
Eddie lit up, popping the door handle of the car immediately and exiting, rushing over to his tool box to close everything up before halting and turning back to her, “Wait, you know you don’t have to do any of this right?” He asked, approaching her with his eyes narrowed a little.
Y/n nodded, “And you know you don’t have to either, right? I’ve been saving for a while, I have enough cash to—“ He cut her off with a tight hug.
“No, no, keep your money!” He urged as she giggled, “If you pay for parts every once in a while, I’ll fix your car for free as long as you stay so sweet and keep me company when you can… deal?” He asked next to her ear as she giggled.
“Deal.” She beamed at him as his stomach growled, “Now take me home, I wanna make dinner for this super cute mechanic I met today.” She looked at him expectantly as she messed with one of his buttons, eagerness filling his eyes.
She watched him finish up, the boy like an eager puppy rushing from place to place, looking up every once in a while to check and see if she was still there, which every time she was.
After he flipped off the lights and locked the front doors, he stepped out of the garage, his new friend waiting for him as he tugged the long rope that connected to the giant rolling door, closing the place up for the night.
“There we go.” He said satisfied, dusting off his hands before throwing his arm around her and walking her to his truck to take her home as if he’d done it a thousand times before.
Hey! Hope you're having a great day! Any chance you could do something for Ford x Reader (Gravity Falls). Maybe something where they see each other for the first time after he comes out of the portal? Thank you!
there's 2 ways this could go: you 2 meet for the first time when he steps out of the portal, or you were in a relationship beforehand and see each other for the first time in decades when he comes out of the portal. guess which one I chose :)
You shielded your eyes from the bright light of the, now destroyed, portal. Someone stepped out. Your eyes adjusted and you looked in confusion. What was going on? God, you knew Stan wasn't who he said he was to the kids, to anyone. You knew he wasn't Stanford Pines, but you didn't know he was doing something this insane. What the absolute fuck was going on?
"What, who is that?" Dipper's voice voiced your collective confusion. Stan didn't even look back at him, he kept rubbing his sore head and looking at the figure now nearing him.
"The author of the journals," Stan's response was full of awe, "my brother." We all looked in shock at him. You couldn't believe it. Was that really...? Mabel broke the two seconds of silence.
"Is this the part where one of us faints?" Her wide eyed expression didn't change, or even look at Soos as he replied that he had it covered and fell back on the ground. You rushed over to make sure he was okay, fanning his face. The shock of the whole situation sunk in as you frantically tried to occupy yourself with anything other than the person that came out of the portal. With any luck, he wouldn't have noticed you and you could slip away without talking to him.
A small fight between the elderly twins about the portal was the background to your screaming thoughts. How? Why? Didn't he think about the consequences if things went terribly? More than they did, in your personal opinion? Soos woke up in time for Mabel to squeeze a backstory out of Stan.
The story was one you'd heard before, from the other perspective. The tale of two little boys who grew up and had to go their separate ways. One didn't want to, and it caused a terrible accident that ruined the other's dream. It was a moving story, you cried when you thought about it too long. Maybe that was other feelings tied into it, you couldn't be sure.
Ford introduced himself to the kids and Soos, before looking at you. You stared at each other for a moment. A part of you felt ashamed, you were older now, no spring chicken. Many a wrinkle graced your face, and while you normally would be proud to show them off, this was different. You should have worn a nicer cardigan.
"Y/n?" Ford looked at you like he expected you to be literally anywhere else. "Is...What are you doing here?" You flushed at the way your name rolled off his tongue like it used to all those years ago. He still had that effect of you. How embarrassing.
"Wait! You know each other?" Dipper looked at you in awe. Mabel gasped and ran over in between you both with her hands clasped together. You raised an eyebrow in amusement.
"Another backstory? Yes, please!" She made herself comfortable on a random piece of debris nearby. "Go on, I'm listening." You huffed and rolled your eyes at her antics. Ford was still staring at you, everyone was now.
"Oh boy." You sighed and looked off in another direction. "We met in college." You waited a moment, hoping that that would be it. Mabel groaned and motioned for you to continue. "Fine, fine. We met in college and he was in a class I was taking. We graduated having only said maybe two words to each other--"
"Fourteen." Everyone looked at Ford. He coughed and looked away from you for the first time since he realized you were here. "Fourteen words." A giddy feeling bubbled in your chest. He counted the words you said to each other? And remembered the number all this time?
"Having said fourteen words to each other." You looked to Mabel as you corrected yourself. "I traveled across the world for a few years, then across the country for a few more years. My degree was in folklore, and I minored in literature, so I was traveling to gain as much experience in living in the areas of creatures I was most interested in to write my own story. I'd heard about Gravity Falls and how strange it was, so naturally I drove as fast as I could to get here.
"I was living in a little cabin of my own on the edge of town, close enough to the grocery store, but far enough to not be seen by anyone who wasn't looking. Private, but still part of the community. The environment where folktales are cultivated is very important, you know. So I was walking in the forest to really get a feel for the environment. I'd already seen many a creature that existed here, and I was cataloguing them all, just as I'd done wherever else I went.
"Yes, creatures from folktales and legends exist outside of this town." You held up your hand before Dipper was able to form his question. "As I was walking, I heard other footsteps, so I went to investigate. I originally thought it was another creature to get acquainted with, so I was excited. When I moved the foliage out of the way, I saw Ford in quite the predicament. He had gotten himself caught up in a rare, and very pointy, vine. By the time I'd gotten him free, it was already very dark and his cabin was farther than mine, so I let him stay the night with me. We got to know each other and the rest is history." You shrugged as you spared a glance back at Ford. He gaze was back to you, almost dazed in the awed expression. Stan rolled his eyes in the background.
"That's all well and dandy, but what about the way you've been looking at each other?" Mabel threw her hands up. Soos joined in as he crossed his arms.
"Yeah, I wanna know about the 'history' part!" Soos furrowed his brows. You huffed a laugh and went to hobble over to your own piece of debris. Ford took a step in your direction to follow before thinking better of it. You groaned as you sat down. The pain of being thrown into a wall catching up to your aching bones.
"Tough." You popped some of your back and sighed. Stan picked up your cane and handed it to you. You smiled at him and took it. "Besides, we have more pressing things right now."
"They're right, the place is surrounded by federal agents." Dipper sighed. "How are we supposed to get outta here?" No sooner had he said that had the agents heard you all.
"Oh dang, I was so spellbound by the stories that I forgot about those dudes!" Soos flung his arms dramatically up into the air. Dipper gasped., declared Soos a genius and pulled out the memory eraser.
Ford was able to get rid of the agents and everything was fine. You decided to let Ford and Stan have their time together. A small goodbye to the kids and Soos, and you were off. You waved to Stan as you went for the door. Ford caught you as you were going down the rickety steps.
"Wait. Can I please know the answer to my question." He held your shoulder with one of his hands. "What are you still doing in Gravity Falls? I thought you left." It took you a moment to formulate a response.
"I did, but it felt...weird. To not be here." You looked into his eyes. "To just leave you in the state I did. I knew something was wrong, and I should have stayed." You pat the hand on your shoulder and picked it up to hold it properly.
"Why, after all these years, are you still here. You knew I was gone, didn't you?" He sighed when you nodded. "Then why?" A sad smile curved your lips as you looked at your joined hands. You let it go gently.
"I think that's enough backstory from me today." You turned back towards the direction of your cabin. "Goodbye, Ford, I'm sure I'll be seeing you around. Hopefully." You mumbled the last bit to yourself as you made your way to your thanfully-in-shape car and drove back to your little home. A giddy feeling mixed with bitter-sweetness filled your chest. You hoped you could see him again.
Human!Bill Cipher x GN!Reader: What's Valentine's Day?
Side note for the sake of the story: Bill and the Pines family are on friendly terms in this timeline. Just pretend, okay!?
TW: SLIGHT Attempted Sexual Assault, NOT BY BILL.
I promised my viewers on my YouTube channel that I would do a Bill Cipher x reader story, and people have wanted me to write such for years. So, I might as well give the people what they want and incorporate Valentine's Day. Hope you guys enjoy!
Guide: (N/n) = Nickname (F/B/F) = Favorite breakfast food
~~~
Y/n woke up to a certain someone booping their nose lightly. They opened their eyes, not fond of the fact that they were being awoken from their sleep. Of course, their best friend Bill was crouching in front of their face, mere hairs away.
"What do you want, Bill?" Y/n asked, not commenting on how close he was.
"I got a question for ya, sweets." He said, a bored expression coming over his face.
Sweets?
Y/n sat up and rubbed their eyes. "Well, what is it?" They decided to indulge in this conversation even though they had just woken up. Despite the rude awakening, Y/n struggled with the concept of being mad at Bill for an extended period of time.
He was too cute for his own good, honestly...
Bill hopped onto Y/n's bed, making Y/n bounce in the air a little bit.
"I heard Wendy talkin' 'bout some Valentine's Day thing? What the heck is that?"
Y/n blinked at that. "You don't know what Valentine's Day is?"
Bill shrugged. "I haven't been in this realm for that long, Y/n. Besides, you humans have too many holidays for me to remember."
It was hard to argue that when Y/n thought about it. December was overwhelming for Bill and, by extension, them because he was so confused by all the various traditions and holidays around that time of year.
"Valentine's Day is about expressing your l-love for others." Y/n saw the way Bill's uncovered eye widen in surprise. So, they were quick to add, "But it doesn't have to be about romantic love. It can be expressing love for friends or family. A-Although it is mostly advertised by people to be about romantic love. You normally do all of this by giving people gifts."
Y/n kicked themself in the head mentally at the fact that they kept stuttering with their words. It was too early for this conversation.
Luckily, almost suspiciously, Bill seemed to be eager to drop the topic almost as fast as it was brought up.
"Welp! Thanks for telling me, Y/n! Ya wanna go get breakfast at the diner?" Y/n was about to answer verbally, but their stomach seemed eager to answer by growling very loudly.
Bill cackled, slapping his knee dramatically. "I'll take that as a 'yes'!" He then stood up and left for the door, but he looked back at Y/n right before leaving. A serious look was on his face that made Y/n's hands sweat.
"Just outta curiosity, Y/n, do you have anybody you're gonna give a Valentine's Day gift to?"
Y/n flushed at that and wiped their hands on their blanket. "Uh, I was kinda just planning to give some stuff to Stan, Ford, and Soos." It was easy to see the glare from Bill. "I don't know what I would get you, Bill! I don't know what in this dimension would be a good gift for you."
Bill's face softens up. "Relax, Y/n. I'm just playin'. But I could say the same for you, though."
"Don't worry about getting me anything, Bill. Save that energy for someone you really like." Y/n said, brushing off the idea and hiding their feelings in the process.
In all honesty, Y/n really wanted to get Bill something. But making something would be hard to do, especially because Valentine's Day was tomorrow. Buying him something would serve to be even more impossible! Only a few months ago, he came into this dimension as a human and turned a new leaf. He hasn't had much time to adjust to how things were here. So, Y/n didn't know what would even serve as a good gift for him! Let alone whether he would want a practical gift or a sentimental gift.
But the idea of Bill giving them something made them even more uneasy than the other way around. Plus, Y/n didn't even consider the idea of what if Bill liked them back. It was not likely in their eyes.
Bill noticed how Y/n's face dropped a little at their own words, but he decided for once to not blab too much. Instead, he said, "Whatever you say, N/n. I'll meet ya downstairs." Bill then left the room without waiting for a response.
Y/n felt a little sad that Bill didn't argue with them about what they said, but they figured he didn't feel anything romantic for them. They brushed the disappointment aside and went ahead and got dressed.
When they came downstairs, Y/n was puzzled to not see Bill anywhere in sight.
"Bill? Where are you?" They called out.
No response.
Right when Y/n was about to call out again, they were poked in the middle of their back. They yelped out in surprise and turned around to see a certain smug blonde smirking down at them.
"Shut up, will you?" Y/n snipped, despite Bill not saying anything.
Bill's smirk only grew at that. "It's not my fault you space out so much, N/n." He flicked their forehead playfully. "Come on, let's go get some of those waffle-cakes."
"Pancakes, Bill." Y/n corrected.
"They're almost the exact same thing, Y/n!" Bill defended dramatically, making Y/n roll their eyes.
So, after a 15-minute walk that involved debating about pancakes and waffles, Bill and Y/n made it to the diner. The pair walked in and ordered their food. Y/n had (F/B/F), and Bill had pancakes, waffles, and a giant milkshake. When Y/n questioned why he got the milkshake, he said that having a brain freeze was amusing to him.
Once the meal was done, Bill begged asked for Y/n to go with him to the movie theater to see some random romantic comedy. Y/n had tried to ask him why he wanted to see it. But he only said, "It's research, sweetheart."
Y/n blushed as red as a rose at being called 'sweetheart', so much so that they completely dropped the topic.
So, they bought two tickets for the romantic movie. However, Bill was also bugging them to buy a GIANT thing of popcorn.
"I don't even know if the two of us can finish that when we literally just ate, Bill."
"Come on, Y/n! The popcorn is one of the most important parts!"
"To what?"
"To my research! Come on, please?" Bill once again begged.
Not wanting to hold up the line behind them because of their bickering with Bill and also not being able to say no to him left Y/n no other choice but to buy the popcorn.
Once they both got into the theater, Bill pulled Y/n to the back row, and they sat down. After the previews, Y/n started getting hungry from the aroma of popcorn next to them. Bill kept the bucket of popcorn in between the two of them so both of them could eat from it.
However, Y/n noticed Bill had not made a move to start eating any of it. They were confused, but they were not about to let the money they spent get thrown into the movie theater trash can without a fight.
So, Y/n reached their hand in to grab a handful of popcorn. But right as they put their hand in the bucket, Bill had put his hand in. As a result, their hands end up brushing against one another. Startled, Y/n retracted their hand and muttered an apology. Bill didn't respond to it at all, which only served to make the whole thing both more awkward and suspicious.
Instead, he only took some popcorn and munched away. Y/n waited for a good three to four seconds and reached in again to grab some when Bill brushed his hand against theirs again!
One time could just be an innocent mistake. But twice? The odds of that happening twice didn't make sense to Y/n. But they still muttered an apology and were ABOUT to pull their hand away. However, Bill clearly had different plans.
He simply grabbed Y/n's hand and held it in his own. Y/n looked at him in surprise, but Bill was just looking straight ahead at the movie with a semi-bored expression while he rubbed circles on Y/n's hand as though it was the most NORMAL thing in this dimension.
But if he wasn't making a big deal about this, why should they?
At least, that's what Y/n thought. So, despite them blushing profusely, they didn't pull away. But Bill just HAD to speak right when the embarrassment was dying down.
"Do all you humans sweat so much when holding hands?" He didn't even take his gaze off the movie when he asked.
"S-sorry." Y/n apologized again and tried to pull their hand away. But Bill tightened his grip. It wasn't enough to hurt, but it was enough to prevent them from slipping their hand out of his.
"It's fine, sweetheart." Bill spoke with a smirk, leaving Y/n a bright red, blushing mess.
After the movie, the pair almost killed the whole bucket of popcorn despite Bill refusing to let go of Y/n's hand.
The both of them exited the theater room when Y/n realized they forgot their phone at their seat. So they told Bill, "I'll be right back! Forgot my phone!" They didn't wait for him to respond as they rushed back in to grab it.
Y/n felt panic surge through them as they did not see their phone near their seat. But a guy who was cleaning up the row below clearly noticed Y/n's distressed face and said, "I take it this is yours?" Sure enough, he held up Y/n's phone.
"Oh, my God, yes! Thank you!" Y/n said, taking it from the guy.
"No problem. Uh, mind if I have your number?"
Y/n's face paled a little at the question. They didn't even know the guy's name, not seeing a name tag on him. They did NOT feel comfortable giving this random dude their number.
"O-oh, uh..." Luckily, the universe decided to bless Y/n with a savior at that moment. Right then and there, Bill walked over next to Y/n.
"I think they do mind, buddy." Bill spoke with venom. He appeared out of nowhere, practically. He must've come in when Y/n wasn't paying attention. But for once, they didn't mind him sneaking up on them.
The guy looked at Bill with a scowl. "Uh, who are you to be deciding that for them?"
Bill came closer to Y/n and put his hand around their waist, pulling them into him. But what Bill said next sent chills up Y/n's spine.
"They're off limits, kiddo. Turn around now before you see something you might regret..." The guy was spooked enough by Bill that he sped out of the room without a beat.
Once he was gone, Bill let a breath out through his nose he didn't know he was holding and turned to Y/n. "Are you alright?"
"Y-yeah, I'm fine. Thanks. You saved my skin there." They tried to laugh the whole thing off, but Bill clearly saw that Y/n was shaken up. He took their hand in his again and intertwined his fingers with theirs. The two of them stayed like that for a while when Y/n tried to change the subject.
"Is this a part of your research?"
"What?" Y/n squeezed his hand to specify what they meant. "Oh, haha, you could say that." Bill said as he squeezed back.
"Are you ready to head back to the Mystery Shack?"
Bill smirked and pulled Y/n outside. "Not quite. We got one last stop."
~~~
Eventually, Y/n and Bill were out in the woods. But by this point, it was dark out, and Y/n could hardly see anything in front of them. But Bill stayed ahead of them and assured them that this would all be worth it.
After a few more minutes of walking, the pair made it out to a small clearing in the trees. Bill let go of Y/n's hand and made a picnic blanket appear on the ground a few feet ahead of them. He sat down and gestured for Y/n to join him.
They did, and Bill pointed up at the sky. Y/n was blown away at what they saw.
A meteor shower.
"Ya know, they normally say to make a wish when you see a bunch of shooting stars, right Y/n?" Bill asked with a genuine smile.
"Yeah." They then closed their eyes and made a wish. When they opened their eyes, they noticed Bill looking at them.
"What'd you wish for?" He asked as if he really was curious.
"If I tell you, it won't come true."
"Oh, Y/n, you underestimate me." Bill said confidently.
Y/n looked down. "I wished that you and I would be friends forever." They said softly.
Bill's face immediately turned a bit sad at that. "Just friends?" He asked seriously.
"What?"
"Just friends?" Bill repeated, looking almost nervous.
Y/n blinked. First in confusion. Then realization. Then shock. "Bill, are you having a brain freeze or something?" They asked with a nervous laugh.
"No? Why?" Bill felt a little hurt at that comment. What made Y/n think that?
"Because there is no way you're serious right now. It's either that or you're pulling my leg."
"Come on, Y/n. Even I'm not that cruel. Not... anymore."
"Well, what else would make you ask me something like that?"
"You." Bill didn't skip a beat in replying. But he knew that Y/n was going to take the high road in this. Besides, if he was going to be rejected, he might as well go down swinging.
"I mean, I've only known you for a few months. But I've lived longer than you humans could comprehend, and I have never felt the way I have when I'm with you. The moments we have together are kinda simple, but I like it that way. You make the boring things humans do fun for me, and you've been patient with me while I try and learn about this dimension. I couldn't do all the fun stuff we do with anyone else in this town. You seemed so simple when I first met you. But you're even more strange than I am because of how you put up with me. What more could I ask for in--" Bill hesitated in the last words of that thought. "--in someone I love?"
Y/n struggled to take this all in. They weren't even totally sure if Bill could feel any attraction to someone in this dimension. But the speech he gave seemed very genuine, and it was clear he wasn't joking around at all.
Before Y/n could reply, Bill snapped his fingers and made a small golden necklace appear. There was a single golden triangle charm with the same grooves Bill had in his triangular form hanging from the chain. But instead of his one eye in the center like his demon form, there was a black, heart-shaped diamond.
"I'm not gonna force ya into anything you don't want, Y/n. But if you do feel the same, I want you to have this." Bill said, holding the necklace out for the taking.
Y/n didn't even need to ponder the offer. They knew their feelings for Bill. So, they took the necklace from him and put it on. Bill released a breath that he again didn't know he was holding.
"I wished for you to return my feelings." He muttered. Y/n laughed.
"You didn't need to wish for that. It's already true."
"So is your wish." Bill then wrapped an arm around Y/n, pulling them close to him.
"Happy Valentines Day, Bill Cipher." Y/n said before they leaned up and kissed him.
The End
