I have no idea. I'm pretty sure people say MK and were like "Another child character?" and the people who didn't want to ship Frisk with Chara, Asriel or worse, one of the adult characters were like, "Yep. This is good. Frisk with the little dino kid. Yep." And I mean, they have had canonical interactions.

Idk. People are weird. Shipping is weird. Doesn't really stop people (including me.)

I am super sleepy but just came up with very dumb Freenoodleshipping AU/fic prompt idea but mostly Tripitaka x Bajie.

So while fighting latest enemy/demon Tang and Pigsy get caught up in ancient artifact magic effect and basically they get their previous incarnations in their minds so now they also have are now Tripitaka and Bajie in their minds.

Tripitaka and Bajie who had been hopelessly pining over each other both convinced the other didn’t like them are now in their reincarnations who are MARRIED and apparently have a kid.

MK is worried about his parents and wants to reverse the spell but also OMG IT’S TRIPITAKA AND BAJIE AHHHHH. HE HAS SO MANY QUESTIONS.

Tang and Pigsy just going about their days with their previous incarnations screaming in the back of their heads and frisking the fuck out while the two are flirting.

They have to keep taking painkillers cause of the headaches their freaking out previous incarnations keep causing.

Would Asriel become human? Would Finley become a monster? That's the real question I'm asking...!

in the case of your idea specifically yea, Asriel would become a human, Finley would become a monster, same with MK and Chara respectively

Red son wants nothing more than be the one who finds someone with Monkey Kings powers- freeing them all from the underground. And impressing his dad.

(Btw I’m not changing any of the Lego Monkie kid character’s personality’s in this au. Just the circumstances)

It occurs to me that we never saw kris or suzy in the epilogue (though I think the latter was mentioned once? Idk). Did uh… are they doing decently?

// the darkworld arc had been abandoned/retconned. while there IS a UT-universe version of Kris and Susie (assuming Frisk isn't Kris in UT, tho Kris is still very much their own person regardless) in AFR, we will only know Susie in the redraw. (again... assuming UT Susie is Suzy and not a sister like the catty and catti situation.)

x-x we just know too little about DR we don't even know how the universes mirror each other and the timelines are all WHACK. its a nightmare to write for or even theorize about. i esp dont wanna think about how they'd change in the time skips of AFR.

anyway in the redraw we'll see a LOT more of Susie as Frisk's whole journey is about befriending her. i didn't add her and MK into the epilogue because we need a proper foundation that the redraw will provide. at that point, my Susie would diverge from canon Suzy heavily as her story would be quite different.

So. My original plan for the rewrite was for Gaster and Riverperson to have worked together in the prime timeline. then gaster got yeeted from time, leaving his work behind. Then, Chara would run away to the underground looking for a purpose and an escape from Asriel's BS and the island. (though, thinking on it, logically Mt.Ebott wouldn't be on monsterland... as that's exiled from humanity. so idk about that anyway)

Anyway exploring true lab Chara accidently uncovers an artificial darkworld and gets stuck as a ghostly narrator again, this time as a cherub with Feylow. Frisk, Susie and MK would be the party and they'd have to make their way home together. I've heavily considered this portion being a fangame-only material, for better play-value.

The story itself can keep gaster to a bare minimum. The guy is scattered across time. he's not directly involved at all. at most we know he did SOMETHING to chara in the prime timeline with their soul and now things are on the fritz (what caused this AU) up until fake DW, where they're possessed again.

I just don't want to play with DR canon at all anymore. darkworlds are inherently going to tie into that. and granted, in UT canon there's entry #17 that implies a growing darkness... it's not a stretch that Gaster could of done this. And he DID have a DT extractor, and the timeline is vague but the similar wording (and how old the core is) could imply he was around Chara's time. None of this is a stretch

buuuut working with Darkworld, even if it's a fake one, is too close to DR canon and we just don't know much yet. when i first did the darkworld, i thought it'd be a fun excursion into the same chapter 1 area... but i got too into the improv and imagination side of things without understanding the original at all. (and bad improv) it didn't really hit me that DR was it's own game and lore until Chapter 2, and I realized just how early on we are into that game's story.

I just... I can work with what I've got, I can avoid DR canon as much as I can but ultimately, I'm working with 2/7ths worth of puzzle pieces.

I don't wanna do any of this. Gaster used to be a "free for all" in the fandom to do whatever timeline/lore thing you wanted to pull of cause he was free real-estate. but now DR is treating him more and more as a character and I don't wanna touch the guy as he's going to be jossing the story.

idk what to do in all honesty. The darkworld portion IS important, Chara goes through major character development that the Continue Arc is built on. But I've been struggling with Feylow as a concept, and well, this. what the hell am I going to do.

Deltarune AU

Deltaground! All Darkners get replaced by UT characters.

The lightners arent replacing darkners The UT cast are and the lightners are just gonna be some boring humans besides the ones important to the plot like Susie, Noelle, Rudy Essentially, if they were introduced in Deltarune as a lightner, they STAY a lightner, if they werent introduced in deltarune, they replaced (MK, Snowy, Etc)Toriel and Asgore are the only UT lightners who stay lightners.

there are some other changes to the dark world cuz of its inabitants like no ones inslaved cuz Mountain King wouldnt.. you know, DO that. everyone Loves T0R13L cuz shes a helpful mother figure (yet a little overprotective of noelle, cuz shes queen replacement) and Also maybe the landscape would be different for the closet fountain it could be like instead of a field its a town, like if Snowdin town or castle town were a whole chapter and chapter 2 would still be a city, but with a little different vibe

frisk replaces asriel in the light world Most Lightners get replaced by, well not Ut characters, but the lightners that werent in UT, stay the same (Noelle, Berdly, Susie, Etc) Besides toriel and asgore, Frisk is the only UT character to be a lightner AND a darkner In deltaground, but only because of Skrif, the frisk ralsei

So more Undertale x Bungou Stray Dogs crossover roles.

Okay Oda as the River Person because they both have the same energy.

Kouyou as Undyne I know what you're thinking why? And that's because I had no idea who was going to be Undyne. And it honestly makes sense cuz I made Yosano, Alphys. I'll explain Yosano in part 3 Btw

And for Ranpo he's his own thing because me and my friend didn't know who he would be and same with Fukuzawa.

And Mad Dummy/Mad Mew Mew is Verlaine you'll know why when I reveal who Chuuya is and I totally didn't do that as a excuse to turn Verlaine into a Magical girl. Because come on, I see Magical girl Dazai, Chuuya, Atsushi and Akutagawa but no other characters, you know what I think I'll talk about that another time.

Hermen is Gerson there both old (not trying to be rude.) And with Gerson being a character in Waterfall it fits with Herman's character y'know because whales, water.

Kenji is Monster kid because they're both adorable and I will defend them with my life but off topic. They're both very impressed easily and both have the need to protect they're friends while yes MK isn't strong like Kenji, he still tries to protect Frisk (depending on your choice if you choose to save him or not.)

Mushitāro is Shyren because of mainly aesthetic reasons and also because I have plans for him

Also small bonus Asagiri is annoying dog and Harukawa is Tem if you know you know.

Aya is Chara forgot mention that last time. And not the Fanon one I literally despise that one but anyways reasoning. Aya is a very Determined character in canon. And also I really do the Narrator Chara theory also yes my fic does have Aya as the narrator.

Backstory

Due to an accident during a pacifist route, Asriel in his Hyper Death form caused a True Reset that ended up fusing all the monsters into a fusions of 3

Some of the Fused characters don’t remember their past lives however there are others that do remember

The ones that did shared this information with others, with some of them rejecting their past lives, others accepting it, and others staying neutral

Despite all monsters still being in the underground, the barrier is destroyed so they can leave at any time but Asnight told everyone to stay in the underground

This is because he didn’t want the humans finding out and because the monster population is even lower

Most of the monsters agreed and Monska also decided to live here as well

Because of this most monsters began having relationships with each other and grew a lot older

Is the New Main Universe of Fused!Verse

During the fusion of all the characters caused by Asriel it caused the Au itself to Reset effecting all the timelines in United!Tale to be Erased

Monsters do not a have gender, they have identities which make it so as they grow older their body begins to develop in how they view themself as

Because Monsters do not have a gender, they can basically have children with any monster even with monsters of the same identity

They can also have children with humans and other species

Monsters can also have children without a partner by simply gathering enough mana and compressing it to create a new soul that inhabits their body

The process was difficult in the past however because most of the monsters fused with each other this process became much easier

When a Monster and a Human have a child their are 3 soul types the child might have

Upward Monster Soul- The child with this soul is much more powerful with magic than any other monster, it’s even more powerful than a boss monster soul in terms of Magic capabilities, however the soul itself is weaker than humans. The child with this soul can absorb monster souls to increase their magic power

Note: Humans in this Au cannot use magic, they just have more powerful souls and physical capabilities

Downward Human Soul- The child with this soul has more physical capabilities, being much more powerful physically, they do possess the ability to use magic however it is about the same as regular monsters magic. The child with this soul can absorb human souls to increase their physical capabilities

Note: The child with this soul type can use magic, it’s just not that strong being similar to a monsters magic

EI Soul: The child of this soul has a human soul with an inverted monster soul inside the human soul, this soul is very powerful possessing both powerful magic and physical capabilities that surpass the previous soul types, however the child with this soul cannot absorb neither human or monster souls

you know what twitter made me mad so I'm gonna defend peachnoodles even though I don't ship it but I'm tired of the argument of it being a proship so lets get started. MK lives in china and since the laws their are different you would find out that he around 18 to 23 years old as that is when you are allowed to drive so it's not a proship what so ever since both are adults if you don't like the ship that is fine but it's really annoying and messed up for you to try and invalidate other people views if you want to be upset about a proship than try frans it's everything you claim peachnoodles to be except people age up frisk and say that kid is a nickname you can call a teen or adult which is true in MK's case kid is a nickname frisk though is a kid in Undertale and is problematic since they are a child probably 8 but no lets get made at the 18 year old x 20000 year old who has the maturity of teenager like I said I see MK and Monky kings relationship as family that is valid but so is the ship for them.
