IT GETS WORSE.
Did you have to tell the Russo Brothers, who will be inheriting your Thor? Oh, I know. I’ve talked to them. We’d show them footage of him because they’d heard we’ve got a really different Thor. I love those guys, but I’m not gonna stress myself out trying to save Thor for the Avengers movies. My plan was just to strip him down and mess him up as much as possible, and then just sort of deliver him to their doorstep: “Here’s this messy version of the character that you thought you were gonna have.”
We’re talking a lot about this tone and the comedy, how does it then reconnect to what the plot of the movie is about? I have no idea. Honestly, I gave it a little bit of thought, but sometimes, often I was like, You know what? I’m gonna let Marvel deal with that. That’s their department. I know how to tell a story, but I’m having so much fun subverting all of this, and like telling weird jokes and making this the weirdest Marvel movie ever. If you’ve seen my movies, you don’t hire me for any reason other than what I’ve done. So Marvel’s job really is to look after their characters, look after their source material, and make sure I don’t completely break it, or it doesn’t negatively affect the rest of the movies or how they all interweave. I don’t understand that, and I’ve never watched all those movies with the eye of like, Oh, how does this link up? Oh, what year was this when, like, Fury encountered this thing?

Ugh! I love how so unapologetically punk this film. Obviously, there's Hobie with his battle jacket and electric guitar, and his whole Vibe™ immediately comes to mind, but the subgroups of punk are so deeply entrenched throughout the entire movie.
Like Hobie's style, in particular, reminds me so much of how British punk fashion is accumulating old, worn, even ugly pieces of clothing and turning it into something cool. It's thrift stores. It's hand-me-downs. It's customisations. It's momentos from friends. Maybe even piercings done by friends. It's about taking things from different places and making them your own - which is exactly how Hobie ends up making the dimension travel watch. Another thing is Hobie's blue laces, which I've been told is punk-code for having killed a police officer. We as audience members can go back and forth on whether ATSV is a copaganda film or has its themes, but I believe that tiny detail about Hobie is huge for a film distributed from a country that often values authoritative institutions more than it citizens.
Tumblr media
Gwen is implicitly trans and shaves half her head, which is, from my understanding, HUGE for trans women who experience gender dysphoria. A lot of Gwen's fashion and prom dress especially reminds me of Hayley Williams in the late 2000s-early 2010s. It's very experimental, which I feel matches her age and uncertainty about being Spiderwoman, her dad, and Peter's death.
Tumblr media
There's also a lot of concept art for Gwen's hair where her side-cut becomes an undercut and she wears it in a pony tail or bun and I just think they're so cool - D especially.
Tumblr media
Miles G Morales' design is so heavily inspired by alternative goth fashion and techwear - a mix of combat attire and hip-hop streetwear. It's loose yet slick with it's own customisations in the crown-cut collar and the spray-paint insignia, and incorporates high-advanced technology in the mask.
Tumblr media
It's futuristic. A what-could-be. And specifically what Miles could've been if he wasn't bit by the spider. Another cool thing, I don't know if this is related but worth pointing out, is that Prowler wears a modified (leather, bomber, varsity??) jacket. That's kinda crazy for an superhero/anti-hero suit if you think about it. Most of the time you'll see Marvel or DC characters running around in a spandex suit or (for women) almost nothing at all. But like Hobie we see how Miles G styles himself even when he's disguised. Like I wouldn't be surprised if his outfit change was just turning the jacket inside out like a sukajan jacket.
ATSV has so many characters with the own specific styles and it's really nice to see where most franchises are all or nothing when it comes to character design aesthetics.

What were your thoughts on EEAAO? What did you love about it?
A. They handled the concept of a multiverse the way I wish Marvel would handle the concept of a multiverse.
B. Despite all the lovely chaos, it’s a pretty simple story about family. And intergenerational trauma. And how a “fractured” relationship can have far-reaching impacts. That trying to address intergenerational trauma takes effort and growing pains but that healing is absolutely possible if the people involved are willing to admit mistakes and commit to change.
C. It satirizes a ton of tropes that are typically present in western movies about Asian people/locations while also paying homage to Asian film-making/makers.
D. It’s just as touching/gut-wrenching as it is legitimately laugh-out-loud hilarious. I can’t remember another movie where I both cried and laughed that hard.
E. It’s artistically gorgeous. The costuming, the filmography, the music. It’s just a freaking joy to look at/listen to even aside from the compelling storyline.
F. I love that Michelle Yeoh’s character was so ordinary. They didn’t try to make her some cool, cutting-edge, fashionable, gorgeous, action star. She’s a middle-aged immigrant woman dealing with family and financial concerns, who holds herself to extremely high standards and has lost the ability to effectively communicate with her queer daughter and loving but miserable husband. It’s real. I know people and families just like that. And they deserve to see themselves and their struggles and similar existential angst/possibility for happiness on screen.
G. The sheer amount of Asian excellence in this movie is, obviously, a point in its favor.
Ok I could go on but I feel like this is a good start. Others can feel free to chime in!

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-13252921/Taylor-Swifts-British-boyfriends-millions-dating-Travis-Kelce-Mr-Right.html
Taylor's PR campaign is fuck8ng insane because what is this? She should be thankful for Harry because 1D was so big we have an embarassing video evidence of how she was completely ignored by people. Loki, Tom H, was known all over the world and was advised by his Marvel friends not to date her. The rest of the world didn't have a clue who she was then. Rihanna sang the fuck8ng song who was the biggest popstar at that time that's why it gained traction. She's so fuck8ng pathetic. Millions for Joe for life? More like 5 years. 😆
Omg!! I know this is the dailyfail but this is bad even for them..
"When he and Swift first got together, he was a little-known actor who had appeared in a handful of indie films but" WTF? Joe's first role was the lead of a Ang Lee film. And he got casted by Yorgos Lanthimos in 2015, for The Favourite. 🙄 How is that indie 😭😭😭
And the money he is making from his songwriting? Well, he should be paid for his work... Man who co-wrote, co-produced and played piano on tracks makes money from royalties. More at 11 🙄🙄🙄
"The ‘Hiddleswift’ phenomenon certainly boosted Hiddleston’s profile" Boosted? It damn nearly ruined his reputation! He was the butt of the joke for years.. 😭😭😭😭
Harry S, Taylor L and Calvin H were probably more famous than her at the time..
Jake G, Joe Jonas and John M were definitely more famous than her at the time..
P.S. Why did everyone forgot about Tom Odell and the Kennedy kid 😅😅😅😅

The only way the Loki series can redeem itself at this point is if season 2 ends with Sylvie dead and a threesome between Loki, Sigyn and Theo Bell, along with accurate rep for all three of them.
Of course, I know it isn't going to happen because a) the second series has already been filmed;
b) Disney would never go for any actual queer rep;
c) Disney is also too focused on their self-insert/OC who makes for a nice cishet-looking relationship to kill her off;
d) Theo's supposedly gay (I mean, that's his generally accepted sexuality in the fandom, but it's a bit ambiguous in the book itself; Mrs Sharpe alludes to the possibility of him being bisexual, but then says she hasn't talked to him about it, and Theo's feelings didn't seem to change when Loki told him about their genderfluidity, though admittedly that might be because Loki was male-presenting throughout the book.);
e) it's too late;
f) Where Mischief Lies is somewhere in the grey area between actual canon and legal fanfiction;
g) I don't trust Marvel Studios with Sigyn after what the comics did to her;
and finally h) Marvel/Disney hates Loki too much to give them that kind of happy ending.
Thank you for listening to this.
Update: I've found the passage I was talking about where Mrs Sharpe alludes to Theo possibly being bisexual. It's just below, found in the last paragraph of page 218 ⬇️

I thought it'd be fun to make each of Jinjur's soldiers a character from Oz canon!
It'll be a while before you see all of their names used in the comic, so I'm including a helpful identification guide to the Army of Revolt below the cut so that you may get to know them right away:
Tumblr media
A) Miss. Cuttenclip A Quadlish delinquent who likes arts & crafts. From Emerald City of Oz.
B) Captain Elfie Bah A Winkielander delinquent who hates both witches and the daughters of witches. Named after Elphaba from Wicked, but is clearly a legally distinct character. Please don't sue me.
C) Salye Soforth A Winkielander delinquent who is the younger sister of Queen Ann Soforth in Tik-Tok of Oz.
D) Dyna Nikidik A Gillikinese delinquent who is related to the Crooked Sorcerer. From Road to Oz, but her last name comes from Marvelous Land of Oz.
E) Tollydiggle A Gillikinese delinquent from whom you cannot escape. Only has one name, like Cher. From Patchwork Girl of Oz.
F) Blinkie <3 A sweet and kind foreign exchange student who fell in with the wrong crowd by accident! She's Juni Jump's best friend! Don't bother looking up who "Blinkie" is in Oz canon. I'm sure you'll only find lies.
G) Jessiva Pipt A Munchkin delinquent who is the daughter of Dr. Pipt, aka the Crooked Sorcerer. Dyna is her cousin. From the 1914 film adaptation of Patchwork Girl of Oz.
H) Juniberry "Juni" Jump A Quadlish delinquent who is in love with Jinjur and is Blinkie's best friend. Named in homage to John R. Neill's Jenny Jump, but is actually a composite character of the rabbit who lives near Nimmie Amee in Tin Woodman of Oz and the bunnies of Bunnybury in Emerald City of Oz.
If you read all this, I'd appreciate it if you supported me on Patreon. (link in bio)

Vincent Price about being Ratigan.
Via Cartoon Research:
Vincent Price: “It was the first time in 45 years I had to audition. I was furious with them. I had done more than a hundred pictures and if they didn’t know what my voice sounded like then the hell with them.
“After a while I realized I was being very silly and egotistical. They knew my voice but they weren’t sure whether I could adapt to the style of acting required by the role. So, like a kid, I tried out.
“The voice is crucial in the animated film. I guess mine evokes a certain mystery….or horror or melodrama and that’s what they wanted for this character.
If I have added anything to the history of villainy, it’s a sense of fun.
“The trouble with actors now is they mumble and grumble their arts. Everything is understated to the point of absurdity. You expect something larger-than-life, not smaller.
Tumblr media
“The director would urge me on, telling me to make it bigger and bigger. To get that big sound out, I naturally gestured and made faces. I’d come back four months later and see more of the film and find that my gestures and expressions had crept in. The eyebrows especially.
“They told me that they based the part on my performance in Champagne for Caesar (1950). My character was took himself absolutely seriously and yet could see how ridiculous he was. He was Howard Hughes’ favorite character. He gets shot in the arm and says, ‘Oh my god, it’s real blood!’
“Rattigan is the same. For instance every once in a while one of his frightened henchmen call him a rat. He’s furious, because he thinks of himself as merely a large mouse. So he feeds the poor henchmen to his pet cat.
“Rattigan finds himself hystertically funny. He’s in the marvelous tradition of Disney villains. He’s mad, mad, mad! I do adore Rattigan.
“I did it because one should never stop. That’s the first rule. Keep going. Do everything, even cartoons. If you don’t, you stop. And stopping stinks.”
youtube
BTW, because too many people don't know it, this movie is based on the children's book series Basil of Baker Street by Eve Titus.
"The World's Greatest Criminal Mind" is one of the best things Henry Mancini composed.
I saw this when it first opened in theaters. Disney movies had been shit for years, and this was seen as the first animated movie of their new beginning. But some adults freaked out.
It's main character, Basil (Sherlock Holmes) didn't like kids.
Characters drank alcohol, and one got falling-down drunk.
A character who wasn't the villain was murdered (they only showed it in silhouette, but even that was too much for some critics).
There was a strip-tease, and Watson loved it.
Ratigan's Mad Scene was too mad.
Some wanted the movie banned. It wasn't. It didn't do that well -- it wasn't what Disney fans were nostalgic for -- but several critics praised it. Over time, it became a classic, mostly, I believe, because of Vincent Price.

1914 – David Bacon (d.1943) was an American film actor.
He was born Gaspar Griswold Bacon, Jr. in Barnstable, Massachusetts, and his family was one of the prominent, politically active Boston Brahmin families. His father, Gaspar G. Bacon, was on the board of Harvard University, and later, in the 1930s, served as lieutenant governor of Massachusetts.
Born to a life of privilege and wealth, David Bacon graduated from Harvard. He summered with his family at Woods Hole on Cape Cod, where he became involved during the early 1930s with the "University Players," at West Falmouth. There he met then unknown performers James Stewart and Henry Fonda, with whom he later shared accommodations while he struggled to establish himself.
His acting career failed to progress, and he drifted for several years. He moved to New York City, where he was sponsored by a wealthy British patron, and although he once again failed to secure employment, he began to wear expensive clothes and jewelry, leading to speculation that he was acting as a gigolo.
He moved to Los Angeles, California where he met and married an Austrian singer, Greta Keller. In her later years, Keller disclosed that Bacon was homosexual, and that she was lesbian, and that their lavender marriage partly served as what she referred to as a "beard", allowing both of them to maintain a respectable facade in Hollywood, where they were both attempting to establish film careers.
In 1942, Howard Hughes met Bacon, and signed him to an exclusive contract, with the intention of casting him in The Outlaw (1943) as Billy the Kid. Bacon was screen-tested for the role and found unsuitable. Though Hughes later decided not to use Bacon in The Outlaw, replacing him with actor Jack Beutel, he kept Bacon to the terms of his contract, casting him in several smaller roles, usually as college boys.
Keller alleged that there was a homosexual relationship between Hughes and Bacon, and she blamed the alleged relationship for Bacon's being replaced. Hughes, however, was widely known as a womanizer and was often the target of unscrupulous claims to cash in on his money. Later, Hughes did lend out Bacon for a role in the Republic serial The Masked Marvel (1943). The serial was produced with a low budget, and marked a low point in Bacon's career, with Keller recalling that he was completely humiliated. Today it remains his best-remembered work.
On September 13, 1943, Bacon was seen driving a car erratically in Santa Monica, California, before running off the road and into the curb. Several witnesses saw him climb out of the car and stagger briefly before collapsing. As they approached he asked them to help him, but he died before he could say anything more. A small knife wound was found in his back – the blade had punctured his lung and caused his death. Keller, in an advanced stage of pregnancy, collapsed when she heard of her husband's death, and later her baby was stillborn.
When he died, Bacon was wearing only a swimsuit, and a wallet and camera were found in his car. The film from the camera was developed and found to contain only one image, that of Bacon, nude and smiling on a beach. Police theorized that the photograph had been taken shortly before his death by his killer. The case attracted publicity for a time and remains unsolved.

1930 – On this date the American actor Kenneth Nelson was born (d.1993). Born in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, Nelson appeared in several television series in the late 1940s, Captain Video and His Video Rangers and The Aldrich Family among them. He was cast in his first Broadway show, Seventeen, a musical adaptation of the Booth Tarkington novel that opened at the Broadhurst Theatre on June 21, 1951 and ran 182 performances.
Nelson found little work for the remainder of the decade, but in 1960, he was cast in an off-Broadway show The Fantasticks, which eventually became the world's longest-running musical with 17,162 performances. In 1962, he was hired to understudy Anthony Newley in Stop the World - I Want to Get Off when it transferred from the West End, eventually assuming the lead role when the star departed the show. From there, he went to another London import, Half a Sixpence, in 1965.
In 1968, Nelson accepted the lead in the controversial and groundbreaking off- Broadway production of The Boys in the Band, the first play to explore the milieu of Gay life in New York City in a graphically frank manner. He and the rest of the cast went on to appear in the 1970 film version directed by William Friedkin. Nelson and five others in the cast were Gay, and five of the six Gay actors died of AIDS.
1970 also saw Nelson return to Broadway in the lead role in Lovely Ladies, Kind Gentlemen, a musical adaptation of The Teahouse of the August Moon. It was a critical and commercial disaster, closing after only 19 performances. In 1974, he played a leading role in the highly successful revue Cole at London's Mermaid Theater.
He spent the rest of his career in small roles on television and in movies of little distinction. Nelson died in 1993 of AIDS-related complications in London.

1940 – Bob Mackie, American fashion designer, born; Best known for his costumes for Cher and for The Carol Burnett Show. Mackie is also known for his exclusive designs of dresses for high- priced Barbie dolls.
Two of Mackie's best-remembered creations had a humorous element. While working on the The Carol Burnett Show, he designed a "curtain dress" (complete with a curtain rod across the shoulders) that Carol Burnett wore in the "Went with the Wind" parody.
Tumblr media
Mackie also designed the garish ensemble worn by Cher at the March 1986 Academy Awards: black stretch pants, a bejeweled loincloth, knee-high boots, a black chain-link top, and a huge feathered Mohawk headdress that was one and a half times taller than her head. Introduced by Jane Fonda with the words, "Wait'll you see what's gonna come out here," Cher was appearing as a presenter after what many considered an Oscar snub (Cher was not nominated for her performance in Mask). "As you can see," said Cher, "I did receive my Academy booklet on how to dress like a serious actress."
He lived with business partner Raymond Aghayan and had a gay son, Robin, who lived with him in the guest house behind the main house. Robin started doing drugs at 15 and in early 1989, was diagnosed with AIDS. With helpless grief, Mackie stood by as Robin died at the age of 33, March 1993. Aghayan died in 2011.

1973 – Jim Parsons is an American television and film actor. He is best known for playing Sheldon Cooper on the CBS sitcom The Big Bang Theory, with his performance often cited as a significant reason for the program's success. He has received several awards for his performance, including the Television Critics Association award for the highest individual achievements in comedy, the National Association of Broadcasters Television Chairman's Award for a significant breakthrough in a specific art discipline, two consecutive Emmy Awards for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series and the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Television Series Musical or Comedy.Parsons was born and raised in Houston, Texas. After playing the role of the Kola-Kola bird in a school production of The Elephant's Child at age six, Parsons was determined to become an actor. The young Parsons was heavily influenced by sitcoms, particularly Three's Company, Family Ties, and The Cosby Show. Parsons points to a role in Noises Off during his junior year as the first time "I fully connected with the role I was playing and started to truly understand what it meant to be honest on stage."
After graduating from high school, Parsons received an undergraduate degree from the University of Houston. He was prolific during this time, appearing in 17 plays in 3 years. He was a founding member of Infernal Bridegroom Productions, and regularly appeared at the Stages Repertory Theatre.
Parsons enrolled in graduate school at the University of San Diego in 1999. He was one of seven students accepted into a special two-year course in classical theater, taught in partnership with the Old Globe Theater. Program director Rick Seer recalled having reservations about admitting Parsons, saying, "Jim is a very specific personality. He's thoroughly original, which is one reason he's been so successful. But we worried, 'Does that adapt itself to classical theater, does that adapt itself to the kind of training that we're doing?' But we decided that he was so talented that we would give him a try and see how it worked out."
Parsons graduated in 2001 and moved to New York. Parsons has estimated that he auditioned for between 15 and 30 television pilots, but on many of the occasions when he was cast, the show failed to find a television network willing to purchase it. The exception came with The Big Bang Theory. After reading the pilot script, Parsons felt that the role of Sheldon Cooper would be a very good fit for him. Although he did not feel any sort of relationship with the character, he was enchanted by the dialogue structure, the way the writers "brilliantly use those words that most of us don't recognize to create that rhythm. And the rhythm got me. It was the chance to dance through that dialogue, and in a lot of ways still is."
in 2011, Parsons made his Broadway debut portraying Tommy Boatwright in the play The Normal Heart, for which he received a Drama Desk Award nomination. He reprised the role in the film adaptation of the play, and received his seventh Emmy nomination, this time in the category of Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Miniseries or a Movie. On January 29, 2015, it was announced that Parsons would be returning to Broadway as God in the new play An Act of God, which opened in May 2015.
Parsons lives in Los Angeles. In May 2012, The New York Times reported that Parsons is gay and at the time had been in a relationship Todd Spiewak for the last ten years. In October 2013, Parsons called their relationship "an act of love, coffee in the morning, going to work, washing the clothes, taking the dogs out—a regular life, boring love".

1981 – John K. Byrne is an American publisher, writer, and non-profit director. He is co-owner of Raw Story Media and AlterNet Media, which publish the online progressive political news sites RawStory.com and AlterNet.org respectively. He is also the founder and Executive Director of Prevention 305, a nonprofit focused on increasing access to HIV prevention drugs in the Miami, Florida area. Prior to Raw Story, he wrote briefly for the Boston Globe and McClatchy Newspapers and has been published in The Atlantic. He is also a published fiction writer.
Byrne was raised in a suburb of Boston, Massachusetts. His mother is a circuit judge of the Massachusetts District Courts and his father is a family physician.
Byrne attended Concord Academy and graduated from Oberlin College in 2003. At Oberlin College, he founded The Grape, which remains the college’s alternative student newspaper. He was also editor of the Oberlin Review, where he wrote an exposé about steroid abuse on the football team.
During college, Byrne worked as a stringer for The Boston Globe Northwest, a discontinued suburban section of the newspaper, and for McClatchy Newspapers as an intern in Washington, DC.
Byrne founded RawStory.com, which was first published on February 1, 2004. The site was originally conceived as a liberal version of the Drudge Report. In the early years, Raw Story focused on national security issues, American politics, and reporting on anti-gay political figures who were themselves closeted gays. Byrne founded Raw Story when he was 23. Byrne interviewed political figures and authors of the day, including former House Judiciary Chairman John Conyers and historian Howard Zinn. His reporting also focused on civil liberties, including articles critical of Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama's warrantless wiretapping program. In 2010, Byrne stepped down as editor of Raw Story. He remains the company's CEO.
Byrne and his business partner, Michael Rogers, outed as gay numerous politicians and political staff who voted or advocated against gay rights in the mid-2000s. Among the first was former Republican Congressman Ed Schrock. Rogers and Byrne reported that Schrock, who once disparaged gays in the military, had left two advertisements on a gay phone sex line. Schrock resigned August 31, 2004, after the recordings were revealed and posted online.
Byrne also reported on the campaign manager for President George W. Bush, Ken Mehlman. The site, along with Rogers, outed Mehlman in 2004. Mehlman was targeted because the Bush-Cheney re-election campaign issued anti-gay flyers in Ohio and because of the anti-gay marriage amendment Bush supported. A proxy denied that Mehlman was gay in 2005. Mehlman, however, admitted that he was gay in 2010, and eventually went on to campaign for gay marriage in New York.
In 2015, Byrne began advocating for the promotion of pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) after a false positive HIV test. His first campaign on South Beach was covered by The Miami Herald, "I AM PrEP," in November 2015, which involved posters created for bars and clubs and brochures for health centers. Byrne wrote an article about his in a long-form piece for The Atlantic in December, 2015. CBS News 4 Miami covered his PrEP advocacy in March 2017. Byrne is also an at-large board member of Arianna's Center, a Ft. Lauderdale-based nonprofit focused on serving and empowering the transgender community in South Florida.

“So, what are we watching today?” asked Declan as you, he and Mason sat on your sofa. Since Declan had stayed over at your place after they came back from a game together, as you were good friends with him too. Despite his question, he clicked around on the controller and opened youtube.
“Let’s do a quiz.” muttered Mason, stuffing a handful of crisps into his mouth, claiming that now the season was over he had earned one or two cheat day’s.
“What kind of quiz?”
“I don’t know, like a country quiz. Or a marvel quiz.” he finished his sentence with a smirk, avoiding the two pairs of eyes that were suddenly on him. But his love for these films was always endearing to you, especially when he started gushing about them and taking pride in his knowledge.
“Sure, so you can win? Nuh-uh, not gonna happen.” you grabbed the bag of crisps from Mason’s lap and grinned as he looked at you with a frown. After popping a few ones in your mouth as well, you put the bag back on his lap. But not without wiping the crumbs from it on your finger on his nose, which made him groan in annoyance. He then turned his head and watched the smile on your face turn into a giggle as he nudged his nose against your cheek.
“Guys, get a grip.” Declan groaned from the other side of the sofa, he was getting used to you two acting like this but that didn’t mean it didn’t annoy him sometimes. He was still searching around bored on the front page of youtube trying to find a video. And was already on the verge of closing the app and going to Netflix until he found something.
“We’ll definitely watch this.” he began the video, but paused it again to get something to drink from the kitchen. From there he heard Mason groan, throwing his head back on the pillow.
“This is probably so embarrassing.” he whined, because it was the first time he had been in such a big interview. He raised his head again and looked at the screen showing your front door and the title “73 Questions with Y/N Y/L/N (ft. Mason Mount)”, which already made him cringe a little, but also filled him with pride when he read your name.
“Even more of a reason to watch it then.” Declan said, slumping back onto the sofa.
“No, you did great, Mase, don’t worry.” you gave Declan a look, knowing how much convincing it had taken to get your boyfriend into this video in the first place. Your hand made its way into his hair as you nestled your body against his side, getting into a comfortable position to watch this video.
It started with you opening the door and answering questions about your day until you waved the interviewer in and got them a glass of water. “The last person you called? And what did you talk about?” he asked as you fetched a glass from the cupboards, laughing a little at the question.
“I called my boyfriend Mason to ask him to make me a coffee because I was too lazy to get up.” you admitted, laughing and shaking your head when the interviewer asked you if you’re not a morning person then.
“But he’s actually home right now if you want to talk to him.” you handed him the glass of water and tried to initiate what had already been planned. Because they knew that having Mason in the video would generate even more positive reactions, as everyone seemed to be obsessed with how sweet your relationship was.
“Ooohh, here we go.” Declan drummed his hands on his knees as he watched you over the screen walk up the stairs, answering a few more questions about your job in the meantime. “Great acting, guys.” he added as you opened the door to Mason’s gaming room, where he was sitting in front of his computer, giving the impression that he was playing a video game.
“Yeah, okay, we’ve seen enough.” Mason’s cheeks flushed and he tried to hide his lower face in his hoodie as he watched himself greet the interviewer. The way he was embarrassed at public attention or things like that always made you smile, causing you to lift your head and press a kiss to his nose.
Mason turned around in his gaming chair and smiled at you as you sat down on one of his legs. Honestly, just trying to keep this video as real as possible, as you would’ve done exactly that without the interviewer as well. In response, Mason pressed a quick kiss to your cheek.
You could almost hear Declan rolling his eyes because you were both acting so lovey dovey. “You should have kept that hair, it looked so pretty.” you pouted, pointing to his long hair in the video. Now, on the other hand, he cut most of it off, and just hummed in response as he was too focused on the screen.
“Still renovating, I see?” the interviewer asked, moving the camera so that everyone at home could clearly see the empty shelves in Mason’s gaming room and half his shoes on the floor. “Yeah, we only moved in a few weeks ago, so you’re one of the first to see the house like this.” Mason let out a breathy laugh as he furrowed his eyebrows, thinking that this kind of mess probably didn’t make the best impression.
“First time living together. How’s it been?”
“It’s been great. We already spent all our free time together before we moved in together, so it’s not that much of a difference.” Mason replied, trying to keep it short and squeezed your side as he spoke.
“Just say you’re obsessed with each other.” Declan commented once again on the scene playing out in front of him, to which you both just rolled your eyes.
“Y/N, what do you hate about living together?” You had to think for a moment, because living with Mason was as beautiful as you always imagined it would be. “Probably the fact that I have to do his laundry.” you joked, because it was known that Mason’s mother did his laundry even when he already lived alone.
“And one thing you love?”
“Definitely him cooking for me. His pancakes are fantastic, you really must try them.” Mason laughed at this, but raised his eyebrows, proud of the compliment.
“And Mason one thing you love?”
“Just spending time together. We are both always working and have hardly seen each other, but now at least I can see her for a while before I go to work or fall asleep.” he said sheepishly, to which you nodded because you felt the same way about him.
“You mentioned work. How much does the support of Y/N mean to you?” the interviewer finally asked, at which point your gaze fell on Mason, curious to hear exactly what he would say, even though you already knew how he felt about it, since he thanked you for it all the time.
“That means everything to me. Just knowing that she’s there, supporting me no matter how I play and telling me every day how proud she is, gives me so much motivation. I wouldn’t have come this far without her.” replied Mason, looking into your eyes for a short moment with a dopey smile on his face. Before the interviewer thanked him, at which you pressed a quick kiss to Mason’s temple, leaving him to “keep playing his game” before answering more questions yourself.
“You did great bro, I’m proud of you.” Declan gently patted him on the shoulder as the video ended. Reminding Mason that he was in that video after forgetting about it because he was busy watching you laugh on the screen for the past fee minutes.
“Me too.” you said and lifted your head to kiss him once more on the cheek. Declan then turned away, not wanting to see whatever you were doing next to him. Instead, he took his phone from his side and opened the video there to look at the comments.
“I’m so jealous, I want what they have.” said Declan after a few moments, snapping you and Mason out of your bubble, “Not me. You’re annoying.”
“What?” Mason laughed, not understanding what he was getting at, but not getting an answer. This led to you both looking at each other questioningly.
“The way he looks at her is so sweet. You can just see how much he loves her. Gross.” Slowly you understood that he was reading out the comments under the video while swiping up with his thumb. At the recent comment, Mason’s cheeks turned slightly red once more as he mouthed to you that it was true.
“Basically, everyone wants what you have and says how cute you are.” Declan grumbled, tossing his phone aside and looking over at the two of you to see you smiling at him. Mason’s head rested against your cheek as he muttered a, “They’ve got a point.” before changing the subject.
“Anyway.” he sat up and took the controller from Declan’s hand, “now it’s time for a Marvel quiz.”

When Thor says he has something to fight for, was it deleted because now Thor has something to fight for? Gorr's Daughter
I don't think that was why the scene was cut. There are many reasons to cut a scene from the final edit. It could be anything.
So, it's not related to that scene but the film /is/ saying that Gorr's daughter is Thor's everything now and his reason to live.
And fans have unanimously rejected this because of how cheap and manipulative it was. No one has anything against Thor embracing fatherhood but it needs to be o r g a n i c

Why not his own children (he needs to continue the royal Aesir bloodline dammit)? Why not Heimdall's son (racism?)? Why not a kid who looks/behaves like his brother? Why not any kid who had ANY interaction with him before (the bare minimum)?
I hate this writing decision with every fibre of my being and it gives me some hope to see that everyone else does too. This is what Marvel deserves for trying to manipulate us.
