Superman Returns DS-All Superman crests and victory screens
The Superman Returns video game on Nintendo DS has alternative crests and victory screens for the "Man of Steel" multiplayer mode that I can't find anywhere else on the internet.
So, I used the MelonDS emulator to play multiple Man of Steel rounds with myself in order to document them.
Included are the manual descriptions for each variant.
Superman Returns
"As seen in the film Superman Returns: After a lomg absence, Superman returns to Earth to find it threatened by the evil criminal mastermind Lex Luthor."
Golden Age
"The Superman that started it all in Action Comics #1."
Pod Suit
"As seen in the film Superman Returns: Superman collapsed inside his mother's arms upon his return to Earth, wearing this suit from his long journey to Krypton."
Apokolips Armor
"In an alternate universe where baby Kal-El landed on the evil planet Apokolips instead of Earth, Superman was transformed into a soldier to serve the lord of Apokolips, Darkseid."
Earth-2
"The hero of a different Earth, this Superman has saved all universe from a number of crises."
Monster
"Vicktor Luthor, the mad scientist of another universe, thought he could create new life from the wreckage of a fallen starship. But the monster he creayed woukd have powers and will beyond those of its master."
Resurrected
"Superman was once killed by the monster Doomsday...Or so the world thought. When he returned to stop the villains Mongul and Cyborg, he was a renewed hero healed, in part, by his Kryptonian life suit."
Colors of Mourning
"After the monster Imperiax was finally stopped by an alliance of the most powerful heroes and villains on the planet, Superman wore a new costume to mourn those lost in the conflict."
Noble Kal
"In a universe where Superman landed in the Dark Ages, Kal rose to the rank of nobility by stopping the evil Baron Luthor."

“Where do you think you're going?”
“Um…”
“What did you want to do? A joke? Do your parents hate Bruce?”
"No! I…I didn't want to do anything to Mr. Wayne!”
“So what are you holding in your hand?”
“Well…”
Without waiting for an answer and with little ceremony, Jason took the kid's hand and opened it. Inside was a glass vial, containing a clear liquid.
“What the fuck is this kiddo?”
“Holy water,” the child murmured.
Jason raised an eyebrow, “Holy water? Do you think Bruce is a vampire?”
If jt weren't so absurd, he would laugh. Eh, a Batman wasn't that different from a vampire, right?
The kid shook his head, “No, not Mr. Wayne. The man who is with him.”
“Clark?”
“The vampire,” the other corrected him. “I know what it is, and he's hurting Mr. Wayne. “
“I doubt you know,” Jason said, holding back a laugh. Even Bruce would find it hilarious: Mister Sunshine mistaken for a creature of darkness.
What a story!
"I know!" the boy insisted. “I once saw Miss Vale lock his hand in a door, and he wasn't hurt! Every time he shows up at a gala, strange things happen and he and Mr. Wayne disappear."
It was all explainable if you knew their secret identities and you knew that Batman and Superman certainly couldn't fail to intervene when there was an emergency situation. Then they were in Gotham, there was always some emergency or mass escape from Arkham. Someone had made a video game about this, which had been far too successful and Jason suspected it had been created by the Riddler to get fresh ideas for future escape plans.
“Also, every time Mr. Wayne returns, he limps strangely and has bruises on his neck. He is clearly being attacked by a vampire!”
Jason opened his mouth to speak, then closed it again, “Did you say bruises on the neck?”
“Yes!” the child replied impatiently.
“What kind of bruises?”
“A series of red dots, very similar to vampire bites.”
“Or horny alien's bites” Jason thought with disgust. Now that he thought about it, Bruce occasionally disappeared with his good friend Superman, to take care of important things, at least as he said. Jason had thought those two were going around looking for clues, not looking for a corner to make out like teenagers.

I want to talk about the queerness of the 1977 cartoon The New Adventures of Batman. Truly a return to form in terms of golden age-ness.

It stars Batman, Robin, Bat-mite, and sometimes Batgirl. It has one season with sixteen episodes.
Its animation predecessors were “The Adventures of Batman” (1968), which were just clips from “The Batman Superman Hour”. It was re-branded as “Batman with Robin the Boy Wonder”. Batman and Robin’s next animated appearance would be in two Scooby-Doo Movies and Super Friends.
Adam West and Burt Ward reprise the character’s voices.
What tickled me about this adaptation is that there is no Alfred, so we are back to the early Golden Age dynamic of Bruce and Dick living alone together and just… taking care of each other. They cook for each other (they decide who cooks that night by playing a video game), they spend all their free-time hanging out at the house, watching tv, bowling, etc. They even cut each other’s hair!!!
The other amazing thing about this show is that even though Barbara Gordon/Batgirl is a supporting character, neither Bruce or Dick have any romantic interest in her. Instead, all of the hots for Barbara are given to Bat-mite, whom Bruce and Dick find incredibly annoying.
Their homosocial domestic life AND the absence of heterosexuality from Bruce and Dick can be read as queer.
#brudick#batman history#meta#um the show itself is kind of annoying#because of batmite#but i thought it was fun lol i kept watching for brudick domesticity

Batman Ninja vs Yakuza League 4K UHD Review
Batman Ninja vs Yakuza League 4K UHD is the sequel to Batman Ninja, the Batman family has returned to the present to discover that Japan has disappeared, and a giant island, Hinomoto, is now in the sky over Gotham City. At the top sit the Yakuza, a group of superpowered individuals who reign without honor or humanity and look suspiciously like the Justice League. Now, it's up to Batman and his allies to save Gotham.
The first Batman Ninja film was a pleasant surprise. Gorgeous artwork was the backbone of the unusual, animated movie. Seven years later Warner Bros. has gone back to the well to try to recapture the same animated magic. There are several members from the Bat-family here, including Nightwing, Robin, Red Robin and Red Hood as well as members of the Justice League, including Superman, Wonder Woman, The Flash and Aquaman.
The first thing I noticed was the artwork itself, which to me looks like it was drawn on a cement tabletop with a bad ballpoint pen. It definitely pales in comparison to the amazing look of the original film. Another problem is the uneven mix of computer animated backgrounds and animated cells in the foreground. At times, the characters look like puppets and very unlifelike (yeah, I know this is cartoon). I did, however, dig the way they introduce the Justice League characters à la a classic video game (see below).
Although the premise seems vast, it is elemental and draws mostly from older storylines from the comic book world. On the plus side; there are some cool action sequences and subtle humor throughout.
VIDEO QUALITY 📽️ : A-
Animation always shines the best on the UHD format, even with the uneven look here, but don't expect the same beautiful animated look of the original.
Codec: HEVC / H.265 Resolution: Upscaled 4K (2160p) HDR: Dolby Vision Aspect ratio: 1.78:1 Original aspect ratio: 1.78:1
AUDIO QUALITY 🔈 : A-
Very nice but not exceptional audio here. The english dub here is fine and the sound effects and music work well.
English: Dolby Digital 5.1 (448 kbps) Japanese: Dolby Digital 5.1 (448 kbps)
EXTRAS 📀 : B-
I always bump up or down a letter grade based on an included or excluded digital copy. Fortunately Warner Bros. includes a digital code here for Movies Anywhere. Two features are also available on this single disc release: "Bringing the League to Japan" and "Anime Action Choreographing the Fights".
OVERALL GRADE: C
This movie is somewhat of a disappointment when looking side to side to the original Batman Ninja. It's a downgrade as far as artwork, story and overall fun are concerned, but it's not a total flop either ... just par for the course.
Batman Ninja vs Yakuza League is now available on 4K UHD Blu-Ray. The direct Amazon link is here.

Usually in a lot of different media, a power nullifier ability is overpowered and sometime they might or might not have drawbacks. Eraser is overpowered in the sense that it prevents emitter and transformation Quirks via Line of Sight and has a reasonable weakness in not affecting mutant Quicks and is dependent on the eyes working. (And also that Aizawa's dry eye might be related to his usage of his Quirk overtime).
I wonder that since Aizawa is an underground hero, he's more likely to work in the dark, which makes it harder for the unskilled villains to counteract against him and actually spreading meaningful information about how to counteract him. It's just that when Aizawa is in board daylight, the "knock them down in one hit" trick will eventually hit a wall if his opponent didn't get knocked down immediately, if the mob overpowers him or someone else(i.e. Shigaraki) figures him out and does a counterattack that Aizawa isn't prepared for. I wonder if he is even prepared for such a scenario that (assuming his Quirk is effective on his opponent's Quirk) he was not able to knock them down in one hit.
I'm then reminded of the fact that during the Shie Hassaikai Arc when they're rescuing Eri, he was canceling Toga's Quirk as she was mimicking Rock Lock and was capturing her with his scarf, Toga took control of the situation by grabbing his scrap in return and stabbing him, thus preventing him from joining Izuku when he had to fight Overhaul. Which means that Aizawa isn't prepared at all when he loses control over his scarf.
Aizawa the Quirkless Hero and supporter of a Quirkless Hero? Ha, I say that he's just a scrub who's dependent upon his Quirk and would actively discourage such people(and if he has too) or make them learn the complicated scarf style. All of those All Might bashing fics for Quirkless Hero Izuku don't even read the manga or watch the anime at least once. They only get bad information just from reading fanfics and the telephone game reversed the two's position.
Sometimes I feel like I need to take words away from people and "overpowered" is one of them. From writing advice articles and videos calling it "unrealistic" to this. There is nothing realistic about Quirks; that's the point. Is an alien from Krypton gaining powers from a yellow sun suddenly more plausible if he isn't bulletproof? I digress. That's not the point you're making, but it annoys me enough that I brought it up anyway.
More relevant to this point you're making, overpowered, outside of its context in gaming as a metagame defining game piece, refers to a character that can trivialize the narrative they are in. Superman as a Hero in Gotham would be overpowered. That's why he's in Metropolis, facing geniuses with legal protection. Goku can bench press planets but so can the people he fights. Akabara Strauss is the strongest character in Record of a Fallen Vampire, but he's trapped in a Tragedy instead of a battle series. Mob from Mob Psycho starts as the strongest psychic in the series, but he's a pacifist trying to understand his place in the world. Context matters.
Aizawa is not overpowered in My Hero Academia. Disabling the activation of those Quirks does not trivialize the narrative.
Regarding the rest of your analysis, it's interesting to note that the Villains at the USJ recognized him, meaning that he hasn't really done a great job at hiding how his Quirk works. Actually come to think of it, nobody in MHA bothers to hide their Quirk's function. They may not advertise it but in Hunter x Hunter this lackadaisical attitude would be a death sentence.
Aizawa was actually present for the Overhaul fight; it was Chronostasis who took him out, not his stab wound. And yeah, he would've made the fight easy, but the main conflict was not Overhaul it was saving Eri.
This last point is right on the money though. Aizawa disapproves of Midoriya's inability to use his Quirk, showing no interest in training him or in any potential that is not his Quirk, like him recognizing Underground Hero Eraserhead. Nothing we have seen from Aizawa suggests he would support a Quirkless Hero.

Only tangentially related but your Harley Quinn post made me so glad that whenever I watch any Batman media, it's with my friend who can point out and explain all the references and Easter eggs. He's really excited for the next RPat Batman movie because of the amount of things set up/teased in the first one (I also really appreciate the first film because of the focus on Batman as a detective, rather than the action).
Also only tangentially related, but every day, I'm a little more grateful that The Venture Bros. is a show about a sad old man and his beautiful and horrible boys. There's nothing there to appeal to Lily, I don't have to worry about her half paying attention and giving the worst takes imaginable about my favorite show.
The 2022 Batman movie is my favorite live action theatrical release yet.
I try to not imply that there's one TRUE Batman interpretation since one of the things I adore about Superheros is that, like Greek myths, they've become so ubiquitous they become excellent means to explore concepts and ideas through many different lenses. A sort of conceptual shorthand, if you will.
"The big three" DC heros have been sort of softly canonized in the comics for a while as representing hope (Superman), truth (Wonder Woman), and justice (Batman.) Out of all three of those, justice is the one with the most baggage to it BY FAR.
I understand why people love the Nolan movies-- but I don't. I don't for a lot of reasons. Yes Heath Ledger's performance was incredible, given all the more weight considering what happened to him soon after-- but a trilogy is more than just one legendary performance. More than Nolan's obvious technical skill with the craft of film making. I take issue with a lot of things with the film, but one of the major ones ideologically is how fundamentally uninterested the films are at challenging the idea of justice. It takes it as a given that Batman (as a representation of justice) is good, that justice corrects the fundamental issues it tries to, and you shouldn't question it. You shouldn't look at it too close. More so in the Dark Knight Returns than the other two, but. Christopher Nolan is very much a romantic in his film making-- and if that's your jam, cool. It's not mine.
Tim Burton wasn't overly critical of Batman as a symbol of justice either, but his films operate more on a kind of fable-ish logic and it doesn't bother me nearly as much. He's a more stylistic filmmaker who likes to tell simple stories through mood and atmosphere. I like that about them, but I'd prefer something more psychologically engaging.
The Batman was the first theatrical love action release I felt really took the time to tease out what it really MEANS to be the symbol of justice. It's why Batman's rouges' gallery is so full of more complex, psychologically challenging enemies. It's why so many Batman stories have him sitting and lamenting the choices he's made. Why he's the darkest superhero archetype. There should be something . . . Disturbing about him. Like, you're unsure if he's really a hero at all sometimes. That possibility that this is all a big cope should be this miasma that flavors all his actions. To me, that's the good shit.
Also, I'm fucking ADORING The Peguin show. Hilarious Lorch was bitching about writers drawing from "the same four comics" with Batman when I think this is the first time we've seen even a loose adaptation of The Long Halloween, outside of the video games taking some mild inspiration from it. It's not really the sort of content you could put in a kid's show outside of a wink and a nod.
Not to be horny on main, but Cristin Milioti is CAUSING ME SOME FEELINGS as Sophia Falcone.
(Oh yeah I suppose Gotham kinda sort of did Long Halloween too. So much insane shit happened in that show I completely forgot about it.)

“Ngl I saw “flash video game” and my brain went…..like on newgrounds?”
Ah, that brings me back. I believe it was in the early 2000s, the justice league cartoon had just come out, and wanted to study up on all the characters on the team who weren’t Batman and Superman.
When I tried to look up flash, I kept getting results for a dozen different programs, and file sorting and things of that nature. The internet was like the Wild West.
Thank you for indulging this old timer’s ramblings honey child
I do also feel like a lot of material on the internet had a longer shelf life back then. You would return to the same flash videos and AMV's over and over again, and show them to your friends because the internet was something At Your House and not something you carried in your pocket.

Characters that share the same voice as Smokescreen!
(That I personally find interesting)
- Deadpool (No, not Ryan Reynolds. Though hearing him voice Smokescreen would be funny.)
- Fish from Cat and The Hat Movie (I forgot he had a voice)
- Hades in God of War (O.O I'm just scrolling through his voices, but imma have to look into this one)
- Hank Pym (This is from 2006, so not too recent)
- Ghost Rider in Marvel: Ultimate Alliance (another voice I want to hear)
- TMNT 2007 Raphael (This was a video game, but still cool as heck)
- Nathan Drake (I saw the Uncharted movie, it was cool. He probably sounds really cool in the game)
- Goldar (In a power rangers video game? I grew up on power rangers)
- Desmond Miles (Don't know much about Assassin's Creed, but I think he's an important character)
- Sideswipe (Transformer: Rise of the Fallen)
- Stoick (How to train your dragon video game, and other media)
- Brawl (Transformers: War for Cybertron)
- The Penguin (Batman video games)
- David from The Last of Us (I feel like Smokescreen would be horrified)
- Skylynx (From the same continuity as Smokescreen. The giant Predacon shares Smokescreen's voice. They need to talk.)
- The Kraang (2013 TMNT)
- Superboy (Don't know much, but I can see Smokescreen being Superman's kid)
- Engineer (TF2 short, Expiration Date. TF2 is really funny)
- Green Goblin (Video game. Is the voice actor good at deep, creepy voices? That would be scary if Smokescreen talked like that)
- Leonardo, Shedder, Splinter (He voices a lot of TMNT characters, this is in a video game btw)
- Tony Stark (In a some games... And Fortnight)
- Ghost (Destiny seems like a cool game)
- Metroplex (Transformers: Titans Return)
- Chrome Dome (Transf- wait... What do you mean this is another TMNT character?)
- Modi (God of War, guess there's more than one. Is Modi the head?)
- Asmodeus in Scooby-Doo (Isn't he the devil of lust or something?)
- He's background characters in ROTTMNT...
- Superman (A few different media)
- Joker (Scooby-Doo and Krypto too)
- Swindle (Transformers: Earthspark)
That's a lot of voices...
EDIT: Well fuck... He's really good at terrifying. Smokescreen would be a very scary villain just with his voice alone.

Favorite Takes - DC
Where I cite my personal favorite non-source material (so film, TV, and video games only) adaptations of some comic book characters.
Clark Kent/Superman
Superman The Movie & Sequels (Christopher Reeve)
All Star Superman (James Denton)
DC Animated Universe (Tim Daly, George Newbern)
My Adventures With Superman (Jack Quaid)
CW DC Universe (Tyler Hoechlin, Brandon Routh)
NOTE: I was never the biggest fan of Dean Cain from Lois & Clark so he couldn't get on here, Tom Welling from Smallville might've been a contender had his character and story not got so bastardized, and the less said of poor Henry Cavill from the DCEU, the better.
Lois Lane
DC Animated Universe (Dana Delany)
All Star Superman (Christina Hendricks)
Superman The Movie & Sequels (Margot Kidder)
TV Versions (Terri Hatcher, Erica Durance, and Elizabeth Tulloch)
My Adventures With Superman (Alice Lee)
Lex Luthor
DC Animated Universe (Clancy Brown)
All Star Superman (Anthony LePaglia)
Smallville (Michael Rosenbaum)
CW DC Universe (Jon Cryer, Michael Cudlitz)
DC DTV Universe(s) (James Marsters, Jason Isaacs)
JLA (James Woods) & Young Justice (Mark Rolston)
NOTE: The last two get a split spot since one of them's got the voice of an evil political fascist while the other got his character mangled in later seasons to be a bad parallel to an evil political fascist. I also like the Gene Hackman, Kevin Spacey, Stan Jones, Travis Willingham, Fred Tatasciore, Steve Blum, Ranin Wilson, Giancarlo Esposito, Zachary Quinto, Darin De Paul, Lance Reddick, Marc Maron, and Max Mittelman versions of Lex, and await to see Nicholas Hoult's.
Jimmy Olsen
Batman: The Brave & The Bold (Alexander Polinsky)
DC Animated Universe (David Kaufman)
My Adventures With Superman (Ishmael Sahid)
Superman Returns (Sam Huntington)
All Star Superman (Matthew Gray Gubler)
Supergirl
DC Animated Universe (Nicolle Tom)
DC Superhero Girls (Anais Fairweather)
My Adventures With Superman (Kiana Madeira)
CW DC Universe (Melissa Benoist)
Supergirl '84 Film (Helen Slater)
Brainiac
DC Animated Universe (Corey Burton)
My Adventures With Superman (Michael Emerson)
Injustice Series (Jeffrey Combs)

Under The Red Hood & Young Justice (Bruce Greenwood)
The Batman Trilogy (Robert Pattinson)
The Dark Knight Trilogy (Christian Bale)
Batman: The Brave & The Bold (Diedrich Bader)
Batman '66 (Adam West)
NOTE: I really wanted David Mazouz from Gotham on here, but he had to compete with these other Bruces who were actually full time Batmen, so consider him an honorable mention. I also like Michael Keaton, Val Kilmer, and Ben Affleck as Batman, but there were some problems with their particular iterations. Other runner ups include the other Kevin Conroy Batmen (particularly Arkham and Injustice), Rino Romano, Jeremy Sisto, Daran Norris, Anthony Ruivivar, Ben McKenzie, Jason O'Mara, Troy Baker, Peter Weller, Jensen Anckles, Keanu Reeves, Ethan Hawke, and of course the LEGO Batman(s).
Alfred Pennyworth
Burton-Shumacher Films (Michael Gough)
The Dark Knight Trilogy (Michael Caine)
DC Animated Universe (Clive Revill, Efrem Zimbalist Jr.)
The Batman (Alastair Duncan)
Arkham Series (Martin Jarvis)
Gotham (Sean Pertwee) and The Batman Trilogy (Andy Serkis)
NOTE: Other great Alfreds include James Garrett, Brian George, JB Blanc, David McCallum, Enn Reitel, Anthony Head, Ralph Fiennes, Nolan North, Tom Hollander, Jason Watkins, and Jeremy Irons.
James Gordon
DC Animated Universe (Bob Hastings)
Batman Year One (Bryan Cranston)
The Dark Knight Trilogy (Gary Oldman)
The Batman Trilogy (Jeffrey Wright)
Beware The Batman (Kurtwood Smith)
Batman '66 (Neil Hamilton, Jim Ward)
Barbara Gordon
DC Animated Universe (Melissa Gilbert, Mary Kay Bergman, Tara Strong)
Arkham Series & Injustice Series (Kimberly Brooks)
The Batman (Danielle Judovits)

Batman: The Brave & The Bold (Mae Whitman)
Batman: Caped Crusader (Krystal Joy Brown)
Dick Grayson/Robin
Teen Titans (Scott Menville)
Young Justice (Jesse McCartney)
Batman '66 (Burt Ward)
The Batman (Evan Sabara)
Batman: The Brave & The Bold (Crawford Wilson, Jeremy Shada)
Arkham Series (Josh Keaton)
Dick Grayson/Nightwing
Teen Titans (Scott Menville)
Young Justice (Jesse McCartney)
DC Animated Universe (Loren Lester)
Under The Red Hood (Neil Patrick Harris)
Arkham Series and Injustice Series (Troy Baker)
DC DTV Universe (Sean Maher)
The Joker
DC Animated Universe (Mark Hamill)
The Dark Knight Trilogy (Heath Ledger)
Burton-Shumacher Films (Jack Nicholson)
Joker 2019 (Joaquin Phoenix)
Under The Red Hood (John DiMaggio)
Gotham (Cameron Monaghan)
NOTE: Other great Jokers include Mark Hamill and Troy Baker as Arkham series Joker, Mark Hamill in JLA, Troy Baker in Batman Unlimited and some of the newer DTVs, Caesar Romero in Batman '66, Michael Emerson in The Dark Knight Returns, Kevin Michael Richardson in The Batman, Jeff Bennett in Batman: The Brave & The Bold, Richard Epcar in Mortal Kombat and Injustice, John Kassir in Superfriends 2010, Alan Tudyk in Harley Quinn, Tony Hale in Batman Ninja, Barry Keogan in The Batman Trilogy, and the LEGO Joker(s).
The Penguin
Batman '66 (Burgess Meredith, William Salyers)
Gotham (Robin Lord Taylor)
The Batman Trilogy (Colin Farrell)
Arkham Series (Nolan North, Ian Redford)
DC Animated Universe (Paul Williams, David Odgen Stiers)
The Batman (Tom Kenny)
NOTE: I like the Stephen Root, David Jennison, Dana Snyder, and Wayne Knight Penguins as well, but they're not quite good enough to crack this. Mad respect to Danny DeVito too, but his Penguin sucks.
The Riddler
Batman '66 (Frank Gorshin*, Wally Wingert)
Gotham (Cory Michael Smith)
The Batman Trilogy (Paul Dano)
The Batman (Robert Englund)
DC Animated Universe (John Glover)
Arkham Series (Wally Wingert, Matthew Gray Gubler)
NOTE: Sorry Jim Carrey, you couldn't quite make the cut! Also in the running: Shannon McCormick, John Michael Higgins, Rob Paulsen, Weird Al Yankovic, Jim Rash, Brent Spiner, and Geoffrey Arrend.
*I refuse to credit John Astin's one appearance. That didn't happen!
Selina Kyle/Catwoman
Arkham Series (Grey Griffin, Chantelle Barry)
The Dark Knight Trilogy (Anne Hathaway)
Burton-Shumacher Films (Michele Pteifer)
Gotham (Camren Bicondova)
Batman: The Brave & The Bold (Nika Futterman)
The Batman (Gina Gershon)
NOTE: Wish DCAU Selina could've made it since Adrienne Barbeau has easily the best voice for the character, but the writing and artwork let her down too often. Other good Catwomen include Julie Newmar, Ertha Kitt, Patty Matson, Jaynse Jaud, Eliza Dushku, Stephanie Sheh, Laura Bailey, Cree Summer, Jennifer Morrison, Naya Rivera, Liz Gilles, Gina Rodriguez, Christina Ricci, and Zoe Kravitz.
Two-Face
DC Animated Universe (Richard Moll)
Arkham Series (Troy Baker)
The Dark Knight Trilogy (Aaron Eckhard)
Batman '66 (William Shatner)
Batman: Caped Crusader (Diedrich Bader)
Batman: The Brave & The Bold (James Remar)
NOTE: Apologies to Billy Dee Williams, who would've done great, and Tommy Lee Jones, who could've done great (but definitely didn't). Also in the running but their coins landed on tails: Travis Willingham, Matthew Mercer, Robert Picardo, Petter Jessop, Dave Boat, Keith Ferguson, Gary Cole, Andrew Daly, and Josh Duhamel.
Mr. Freeze
DC Animated Universe (Michael Ansara)
Arkham Series (Maurice LeMarche)
Young Justice (Keith Szarabajka)
Batman '66 (George Sanders, Otto Preminger, Eli Wallach)
Gotham (Nathan Darrow)
Burton-Shumacher Films (Arnold Schwarzenegger)
NOTE: Other noteworthy Freezes who got frozen out of making it include Clancy Brown, Eric Bauza, Robert Kraft, Oded Fehr, Peter Stromare, Jim Pirri, and Matthew Mercer.
Poison Ivy
Arkham Series (Taisa Valenza, Amy J. Carle, Darcy Rose Byrnes)
DC Animated Universe (Dianne Pershing)
The Batman (Pierra Coppola)
Harley Quinn (Lake Bell)
Batman: The Brave & The Bold (Vanessa Marshall)
Gotham (Peyton List, Clare Foley, Maggie Geha)
NOTE: Uma Thurman, Laure Bailey, Fryda Wolff, Natasha Leggero, Paget Brewster, Peyton List II, Cristina Milizia, and Katee Sackhoff are all fun Poison Ivys as well.

The Batman (Hynden Walch)

Arkham Series (Arleen Sorkin, Tara Strong)
Batman: Caped Crusader (Jamie Chung)
NOTE: Meghan Strange in Batman: The Brave & The Bold, Jenny Slate in The LEGO Batman Movie, Laura Post in the Telltale games, and Melissa Rauch in Batman and Harley Quinn are also great, and I've no doubt Lady Gaga could've really rocked it too but....yeah.

The Dark Knight Trilogy (Liam Neeson)
Batman: The Brave & The Bold (Peter Woodward)

NOTE: I discount Steve Blum from the DTV Universe(s) 'cause what the fuck was that, and Ray Porter in the DCEU was tragically ill-fated.

TF2 Headcanons pt.3 I can't stop. The chokehold is now a death grip.
I guess I'm a TF2 blog now 😮💨 (not really complaining, also if you get tired of me posting nothing but hcs let me know what you want to see instead.)
————————————————————
Ice cream preferences? Ice cream preferences.
Demo probably ordered rum rasin once, thinking it actually had rum in it but actually ended up liking it. I think he also likes pralines and cream or pistachio. He likes wafflecones to an unhealthy extent.
Engie likes anything with peanut butter. He also likes chocolate chip cookie dough. He will eat an entire tub of ice cream, but he deserves it, so it's fine.
Heavy likes all of the traditional flavors, vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, and stuff like that. But he hates neapolitan. He's in the same boat as Engie. They just eat the entire tub together.
Medic loves Cherry Garcia, like unhealthy love. He also really likes anything with strawberry sause (looks like blood, he's a little freak he'd eat ice cream out of a human skull if you let him).
Scout likes cookies and cream. He also really likes dirtcups (hot fudge, chocolate ice cream, crushed oreo, and gummy worms, in case you didn't know). I genuinely think this man can't eat "boring" foods. Like he has to have crunch in his food. He's not allowed to eat in cones anymore. Don't ask him about it. (Also, hc him as lactose intolerant, he just doesn't care.)
When it comes to Sniper, never let him live down the fact that in Australia, they have "Golden Gaytimes." As a viable ice cream option. He doesn't mind them. He gave Scout an aneurysm when he asked if he wanted one. But he's more of a plain chocolate guy. He eats it in out of the tub or in a dish, depending on how he feels.
Spy he likes coffee ice cream and makes it his entire personality. He's so mature for liking it, right guys?? He's just sooooo refined. No scout, you didn't see him ordering a double fudge brownie with sprinkles. They just messed up his order. No, he can't return it now! that'd be rude. (It's in a sugar cone, btw)
Soilder. GIVE THIS MAN HIS RED WHITE AND BLUE BOMBPOPS GOD DAMMIT! I think he also likes Butterscotch and Rocky Road. He likes cake cones.
Pyro loves bubblegum, Superman, and Blue Moon. They eat it in those cones with chocolate and sprinkles on them! They also like the SpongeBob popsicles.
————————————————————
Pyro time!
They eat cinnamon candy all the time. It's so bad. They have at minimum 9 boxes of redhots on stand-by.
I think Pyro is agender. I think their just okay existing in their own world and have no care about gender.
Give them those fire snakes that change the fires' color and their ecstatic! Their favorite is blue.
————————————————————
I think these dumbasses have the most random fears ever. None of them are scared of frogs or bugs, but God forbid you mention wooden spoons, and one of them vomits.
————————————————————
I've seen people say the mercs have board game nights, and I love that idea, so....
Uno is banned. Strictly. It's not even funny. They played it once, and the moment the +4 card was played, all hell broke loose.
They all play poker or Cards Against Humanity at least once a week. Sometimes, they'll pick someone's favorite game to play.
Demo likes Yahtzee and Scrabble. He's just kinda chill like that.
Engie and Pyro both like the same games for the most part. They play Jenga a lot. Also, checkers!
Heavy really likes chess and connect 4.
Do not play board games with Medic. This man has anger issues. But if you really want to, candyland and life are his favorites.
Scout has a hard time playing video games. He can't pay attention at all. But if you play a card game like Red Flags or We're Not Really Strangers, he'll be able to focus on it.
Sniper, Spy, and Soilder all like traditional card games. Black Jack, Cribbage, Eucher, etc.
————————————————————
Sorry this one is short. Very tired and stressed out right now.
I'm so glad you guys have been liking my posts! I'm smiling like an idiot anytime I open tumblr.

Injustice 2 au:Batman's Regime continued
In May, I made an au where Batman loses Gotham, nearly all of the Batfamily and Selina and it lead to Batman going down a dark path and founding the Totalitarian Regime.
Now I will continue in the events of Injustice 2.
It's basically the same story. Only it's about Clark and the Justice League trying to restore the world after Batman's defeat.
After Lex Luthor was locked up for funding and supporting the regime, he was locked up. Lena Luthor took over Lexcorp and it became L-Corp and she promised to right her family wrongs and help Superman repair the damage done by the Regime.
Supergirl lands on earth after the Brainiac destroying Krypton flashback and instead of being found by Black Adam, she's found by Clark.
The flashback instead of Batman trying to stop Clark and Diana from executing Arkham inmates. Bruce, Cassandra and Damian go to the underground of Arkham to find the escapees that managed to survive the bomb with Clark on their trail. Clark thinks Bruce is out to kill them. He's wrong. He's after something.
Instead of showing Damian's betrayal(which why the fuck would you when it's shown in the comics) we see Cassandra's first sign of reluctance and Clark believing she can be saved.
The New Titans. are the new heroes instead of just Firestorm and Blue Beetle.
Batman(Cassandra)
Supergirl
Donna Troy
Blue Beetle
Firestorm
Starfire
A lot of the events of Injustice 2 plays out similarly. Oliver and Dinah hunting Grod, Harley against Crane, Ivy and Swamp Thing and Brainiac's invasion.
The Regime loyalists lead by Lady Shiva, and Black Adam are planning a break out.
Bruce has been carefully planning behind bars in new Arkham. Able to send careful instructions to his followers who are still on the loose and those imprisoned with him. He has been carefully coordinating with Damian on what to do when they break free. "Does it have to do what we did when we found those Arkham escapees?" "Yes my son, the time has come to activate the Nightmare protocol."
As they come to New Arkham to stop the breakout. Superman realizes we can't do this alone and does something he truly hopes he doesn't come to regret. Batman is freed and the two former friends call a temporary truce.
Lot of the story beats remain the same, however instead of Wonder Woman stabbing Harley, it's Talia.
We'd get a chapter dedicated to Cassandra and Damian. Both of them hating each other, but still neither can kill the other. Damian resents her for becoming the Bat and Cassandra pities him for following father's corruption. They accomplish their mission, but Cassandra senses he did something else..
Cut to the ending.
Batman and Superman have defeated Brainiac and Superman begins the process of restoring all of the worlds imprisoned by Brainiac. However, Batman is noticeably missing for a brief period and returns.
Batman declares his plan to kill Brainiac, it's the only to save everyone.
This causes the clash. and we get the two paths. Absolute Justice or Absolute Vengeance.
Que to the fights we got in the game.
The Justice League chases Batman and Robin to the Batcave.
When they see Bruce...he's changed.
"Bruce, what have you done?"
Bruce comes out as the Nightmare Bat. Infused with Kirk Langstrom's Man-Bat formula, Crane's fear toxin, the blood of Waylon Jones, Bane's venom, and the lazarus pit's liquid injected into Bruce's veins. The Nightmare protocol has been activated.
He also has
Freeze's Ice gun
Mad Hatter's mind control tech
Joker venom
and of course Kryptonite
Bruce has found the formulas and arsenal of his old enemies, he has altered and perfected them and with Brainiac's technology he took from his ship, he has ensured that Bruce will keep his humanity.
I was inspired by the Batfeed's Batman analogue horror video.
If you chose Absolute Justice, it ends with Bruce's defeat. But the victory is not easily gained. It takes the combined might of Clark, Kara, Cassandra and a unforeseen redemption from Damian to finally stop the Nightmare Bat. and the only way to stop Bruce is to remove Brainiac's technology. Bruce screams like a demon out of hell. "CLARK, WHAT ARE YOU DOING? NO!' "If you want to become a monster so badly, then a monster is what you'll be"
Bruce has become a shell of his former self, nothing but a nightmare. He's locked away in the phantom zone.
The Justice League and the New Titans vow to stop him should he ever return.
Ends with Lex Luthor returning to attack his sister. We see Supergirl saving Lena and Clark stopping Lex and with a tease of Supercorp(shut up let me have this)
Absolute Vengeance.
Ends like Absolute Power. Bruce defeats Clark and his former allies rejoin him out of fear and those who do not stand with him? He gives them one chance. Join him willingly or he'll make them join him, just like Clark and then we see Mad Hatter's & Brainiac's tech twisting Superman into his thrall.

Upcoming Wonder Woman Projects
This post is being made on May 12th 2025
While I can understand the pessimism about the cancelled video game, Paradise Lost, and the ever-desired-never-created Animated Series, let's not forget that comics are Wonder Woman's real home and that DC has plenty of upcoming projects for the Wonder-fam.
Wonder Woman (Main Book)
We continue our arc with Guest Artist Guillem March, where we wait to see who will be Ares's murderer.
Absolute Wonder Woman
Having wrapped up our second arc with guest Artist Mattia De Lulis - we now move into our third arc where we attempt to answer Etta's question from Issue 5: "What the $#@%?!" at Diana's Disappearance.
Titans 2025 Annual
Jimenez has been teasing this on Social Media for well over a year. This story is primarily about Donna Troy as we go through her many loves and lives.
Cheetah and Cheshire Rob the Justice League
Cheetah and Cheshire team up to rob the Justice League. This is what girls night is SUPPOSED to be.
Wonder Woman: Golden Age
If you're just tuning in now, Mark Russel, Michael Allred and Laura Allred have been putting out the Age Trilogy starting with Superman Space Age, Batman Dark Age, and now moving on to Wonder Woman next. Allred has mentioned Golden Age on social media but that's not official confirmed yet, and neither is the release date. Based off of the gap between the first two entries I would guess it's around December 2025 or Early 2026.
Stephanie Williams's Untitled Wonder Woman Project.
We don't have much info on this one - we know Williams is working on a Project that involve Themyscira in some form and that she isn't allowed to officially announce it yet. Personally I love her work on the previous Nubia series so I am quite excited for her return. We have no clue when this will release.
