“Ice bucket challenge for mental health awareness” actually shut the fuck up. Shut up.

The ice bucket challenge was created to raise awareness for ALS research!! A disease that still has no cure and is 100% fatal! A disease that was and is severely overlooked in research.

The shock of the ice represents the way ALS sufferers feel upon their diagnosis, and mimics the loss of control they feel over their bodies.

I hate watching this history be erased. Like that’s not what this is for!

Like yes mental health awareness but it is also a form of ableism to come into spaces that are specifically for terminal illnesses and terminal illness awareness and claim it as something else now. Like sorry Im actually really fucking mad about this I watched my aunt die. I watched her die slowly and painfully and saw people stop caring the worse she got because we live in an ableist as hell society.

The ice bucket challenge is about ALS and if you are claiming it’s about mental health you have no idea about the toes you are stepping on right now and the painful history of this space.

controversial(?) take: i actually enjoy the combat system in veilguard way more than in any of the previous dragon age games.

Like, it actually keeps me engaged. Feels like my involvement consists of more than just like. click ability when its off cooldown. it was a chore in origins, in da2, in dai...but datv? lets just say i havent thought about downloading a 'skip combat' mod Once in my 4 playthrus

Like, as much as it was funny to just stack the inferno, blizzard and tempest spells on top of each other n let them take care of the enemies...at some point it really does get boring

like. i never played any of these games on anything more than easy difficulty bcs i just could Not be assed. First time i increased the difficulty was veilguard n i havent even thought about going back down. Its fun, the pace is satisfying, and the build is much more...comprehensible than the previous ones. I'm actually having fun combining items/abilities etc before a boss battle.

like, ur own character was already a lot to manage before this, but then u have to manage the same amount of Build for the rest of the companions too??? I get how that would be fun for some people, but for me it was a nightmare every time dflkgjdfkjg thank god for auto level up etc etc

The only time i remember having fun with the combat was the quest where u have to help defend redcliff from undead in origins. And that was just bcs i had to figure out how to keep every npc involved alive kjhjkhjkh

this is all personal opinion ofc, bcs i can see the appeal of the previous games for people who enjoy tactics and stuff like that. I guess its like, to each their own kind of moment

ᯓ🧪˖° Doc scowled. Even scoffed! Who the hell does this guy think he is— bossing him around like that!? (but, didn’t Doc just tell the guy … whatever … an old man’s pride was surely nothing to be trifled with lightly).

“Now you wait just a minute—YOU’RE busy!? I’M busy. This is my study and I don’t need you mucking up the control group by-by-by stomping all over them with your—” Doc gestured to Triton’s shelled feet. “Whatever those are!”

Ah, yes. The very important, personal hobbyist-study this old man had currently conducted in this small coastal cove. Something to do with the local coral and algae.

As always when backed into a corner, Doc toughed it out with a stiff upper lip while he barked at the thing covered in shell like a scared dog. Despite the brazen display of attitude, he still backed up slowly and moved aside. All with a clenched jaw and a particular stink-eye aimed at whatever weapon was strapped to the monster’s body.

“Un-fucking-believable.” Doc grumbled under his breath.

So in your answer to my last ask in the tags you suggested Sylvia flashing her teeth was considered Flirting to Finn and like, if that was true, look at how much Finn flashes his teeth at Sylvia, and in one of his animations for the DLC im pretty sure he's biting his lip and putting his hand in his hair, and I'm LIKE 80% SURE WE SEE THIS ANIMATION EITHER WITH LEVEL 1 REALTIONSHIP WITH HIM OR LEVEL 2 I'm not sure tho.

You've decided to visit the magical ice cream shop down the street. Which flavor do you pick?

Eye of the Desert: Sparkling golden ice cream with the texture of fine powdery sand, served in a beautifully filagreed silver tureen studded with emeralds. If you look closely, you can see swirls of "sand" rising above the sunlit dunes. It tastes mildly sweet and slightly pepper with an undertone of exotic flowers and fresh fruit. At the bottom of the bowl is a single azure stone the color of a cloudless sky. Every time you ask it a simple yes or no question, it flickers: bright gold for yes, black for no, white/gray for unsure. It is never wrong. After the sun sets, it crumbles to dust.

Sweet Schadenfreude. Fluffy vanilla bean ice cream as soft as a cloud, served in a fine crystal bowl in the shape of a heart. The ice cream is drizzled with dark, decadent honey in which tiny red crystals are suspended. The vanilla tastes normal, but the honey is FIREY HOT. Like, ghost pepper hot. It's almost painful to eat (depending on your spice tolerance) even with the ice cream, but if you finish it, you may whisper the name of the person you hate the most into the empty crystal. They will be stung by a swarm of magical crystal bees.

Flowers' Friend. Served in a small wooden pail, the ice cream on top is bright green, smells and tastes like dandelion heads, and makes birdlike chirps every time you scoop up a spoonful. The bottom is spongey browny bites that feel like sunwarmed earth. Little candy flowers are sprinkled on top, and they turn their heads in the direction of the sun. After you've finished eating, a hedgehog follows you around all day, giving you little gifts from the forest like acorns and mushrooms.

Snow Moon. Served in a glossy black cup made from volcanic glass, the ice cream is deathly cold, so cold you shiver just being near it. Its texture is slippery and flows like mercury, but the ice cream itself is oddly heavy, as if you could feel the immense weight of a black hole on the tip of your spoon. It's so shiny and reflective it would almost be blinding in full sun, but even in the darkness it glimmers coldly like the light of distant stars. It tastes like blackberries in milk. Eating it grants you the ability to travel through mirrors for the next 24 hours.

The Artist's Delight. This ice cream is served in an antique china tea cup. Written on the side is the signature of your favorite arist or writer. The pink, violet, and turquose ice cream is buttery soft with a matte finish, making it look more like paint pigments than food. It has the pattern of a butterfly's wing that always maintains its crisp black outlines no matter how much you eat. It tastes like rosewater or dark chocolate and orange rind, depending on your mood. If you eat it, the next time you sit down to create, a butterfly will whisper in your ear, giving you the most amazing and fantastical ideas for art and stories you've ever heard.

The Dark Embrace. This ice cream is served out of the brainpan of an edible human skull made out of dark chocolate and dusted with a a strange, silvery pigment. The ice cream is blood red and viscous but carries a surprisingly pleasant warm, spicy-sweet scent. It tastes like raspberry cheesecake, and you can see dark, sinister shapes cavorting about in the dripping red confection, like misshapen skeletons and dancing devils with black wings. if you listen closely you can almost hear an eerie melody playing...

What does it do? You'll just have to eat and find out!
