Some details, to let my Brainrot Out:

Listen, I know we all love adding our favorite characters into the Batfamily because that group ABSOLUTELY needs more trouble and unhinged behavior, but like. This isn't just adding another kid into the family. This is adding Marc, Steven, AND Jake.

Why does every crossover character have to be the youngest addition?? Why Not the OLDEST addition?? Revoke that Eldest Child License from Dick, imagine THIS: Marc would be around three years older than Dick, and while he would be Bruce's second ward, he would throw that shit around like the law. "Well, I'm older, so I get to pick the first character for Mario Party, and screw YOU, *I'M* choosing Peach!" type behavior

Dick: "Well, Bruce adopted me first so I was here before you, I get to play Peach!!"

Bruce is having a hard time figuring out how to go about this

Marc/Steve/Jake all adore Dick and would die for him. Killing is off of the table, unfortunately.

Everyone is supportive of Steven and Jake, treating Marc’s alters with respect! I love the idea of Bruce or Alfred giving them a journal so that they can keep up with which alter did what that day, and Dick giving them different colored bracelets so that they can tell which alter is fronting at the moment. The three of them actually having parental and sibling support, can I get a HELL YEAH!!

Marc/Steven/Jake being adopted by billionaire Bruce Wayne after running away from home and not having any upfront memories of how he got to Gotham, but knowing that he doesn’t want to go back to his abusive mom and his negligent dad. Emergency Custody is a hell of a drug!

I have no idea how stuff goes down until Jason gets taken in, so consider this instead: Jake and Jason arguing about the morality of killing. Steven and Jason reading together. Marc and Jason doing competitive training. Think about it. Let the thoughts infest you.

Cass joins the family early too, because I say so. And Cass wouldn't need the bracelets to see who is fronting in that moment, she would KNOW, and she will either: pester Marc, love on Steven, or pester Jake.

Cass would adore Steven.

We don't talk about the big explosive Elephant in the Room just yet, nope, so instead consider this: Tim coming in and realizing that Moon Knight really is just Like That. Marc would say, "Another one?? Really??" Steve would say "This one is smart and adds onto my research and just spoke to me for 8 hours straight about arthropods, I have found my new real brother", Jake would say "He's a little stalking freak, I like him already"

Jake and Damian is a brotherly match made in hell. Watch the fuck out.

Just. Just Listen to me...just listen...why wouldn’t a morally grey vigilante by the name of Moon Knight NOT fit the bat motif???

Also, Marc/Steve/Jake would get the Moon Knight powers either as a meta-human with a connection to the Egyptian god, Avatars being able to be chosen at birth, or getting them super early through weird means! I think it'd be neat!

i think the reason alot of "you need to watch less kids media/media made for teenagers" and more "adult media" discourse kind of annoys is because terms like "kids media" and "adult media" are much more subjective than people seem to think it is, and often just amounts to "which age rating will make money" and "what elements does the particular group of people assigning this age rating think is too inappropriate for a 8 year old to hear about" which is also. you know extremely subjective.

like don't get me wrong there definitely ARE media that are meant for kids (like preschool shows which are "for adults" in the sense that SOME of them attempt to funny enough that parents watching won't get bored) or media meant for adults (like gangster films which while popular to reference in kid's media are not meant for kids to actual watch) but there's also like. the majority of anime, video games, comic books etc that are rated pg 13 or t for teen because that's usually the rating that makes the most money without having tp give up the majority of your artistic intent apart from like. graphic violence or full frontal nudity (which mods can fix i guess for video games)

like the reason Mortal Kombat is typically rated as "m for mature" while street fighter is rated "t for teen" isn't because Mortal Kombat is a more "adult video game" than Street Fighter, It's because Mortal Kombat has more graphic violence which artificially ups the age rating.

of course most of the discourse is less focused on video games and more on non-interactive media because like. i guess video games are more "entertainment" so it's okay to enjoy mario games because those aren't based less off of "themes" and more gameplay, while as enjoying like. shonen anime is bad because it'll rot your brain? i guess?

[Two TotK thoughts this morning:

Back again with my "I wish we got to see more with Ganondorf and just...giving him a story other than DBZA Vegeta VC 'I'm fucking evil!'" and Vergil from DMC vc "MOAR POWER!" bs: This Ganondorf should have the same/similar beef with Zelda as he does with Rauru. Again, I know we don't get to see squat really about any in depth feelings about any of them other than you're a god wasting your power BUT Zelda basically did the same thing as Rauru. She came to that era and, while yes Sonia and Rauru welcomed her and allowed it, she fully accepted going along with their dominion of the land that...sorry, not sorry, I don't think was all as squeaky clean as people think. The Gerudo fighting to maintain their sovereignty and the suggestion that Rauru tried to convince them to just join in with his reign makes that pretty obvious I think. Yes, Ganondorf obviously wanted the Secret Stones but that Molduga attack is when he mentions them (which is still weird to me that he does so by name) and notices their power. So that actually came AFTER that what I assume was a last ditch effort to be like "nah fam we're good." POINT IS: seeing this tiny Hylian show up out of nowhere and being buddy buddy with the god?king that wants to take over his territory would and should be infuriating.

Related but less of me lamenting specifics in what TotK lacked story wise and shifting to gameplay. Probably coming from the Paper Mario brain rot, but it really was a missed opportunity to not do kind of like the first two of those games did and let us play as Zelda in the ancient era between the big story beats OR even as the tears instead of just watching cutscenes. They don't need to make it a big open world thing, either, but just a controlled point A to B and C sort of thing with a little bit of exploration allowed (training with her abilities would have been something cool to do, for example). With that, they could REALLY dig more into the new aspects they introduced and just did the bare minimum with. PLUS we would get to play with Zelda like a big chunk of the fandom hoped for.]

KGTAC PGS 2083-2093 ANALYSIS

Previous Analysis Next Analysis I'm doing the two most recent updates in one because there was nothing to talk about at the time, like what? Maybe the floppy under the SUPER MARIO MOVIE floppy case is a Pesterchum clone sorta like in the original? That's basically nothing, like that would be a side thing in my other analyses, and it was also that slipped my mind last time. (In part because the previous post had to be rewritten due to the fact Tumblr deleted my entire post because i ctrlz'd once, leaving only the text i wrote before i started adding images.) So i delayed until i had more to talk about, and we got some interesting things. More evidence for my hopes and dreams, some interesting differences in the characterization of Fred, and more FLOPPY-DECK.

For page 2086, i Looked up on what DEVO was and apparently it might have a small connection with Pee-wee's Playhouse, with some of the music being composed by one of the guys from DEVO, Maybe this will be used in a [S] John: Mental Breakdown sort of way later. Forming itself as some neat foreshadowing like the reveal that Gushers are apart of the Betty Crocker brand.

Page 2089 This brings me hope that Fred won't have a sylladex for a while, I've always wanted a fanventure where one of the characters doesn't have a sylladex, Though something of note here is that he's never heard of a sylladex, not even faintly, which could mean that sylladexes might not exist, although in Home-Skillet, Fred got his sylladex from under a party hat in the kitchen (H-S Pg 70, In a flash), which means he still could get one, especially since he had no idea what a sylladex was in Home-Skillet also (Home-Skillet Page 21 has the line "CAPTCHALOGUE? You have no idea what the hell that word even means.") KGTAC Page 2090: I just wanted to bring this up since for some reason the idea of Fred being a MIND player came up, just because of the fact Fred just found the idea terrifying, not even a hint of temptation like in Homestuck, Though this is unlikely as this idea just came up after thinking for a few minutes and its quite a stretch, the only idea that's a bigger stretch would be calling him of the Breath aspect for page 2083 (If page 2083 did give you that idea, I apologize, but you have been diagnosed with early onset Homestuck Brain rot)

KGTAC PAGE 2091-2093 FLOPPY-DECK!!! (my beloved)

All jokes aside, These pages just introduce the FLOPPY-DECK, Though with the reveal of the Floppy-Deck has me wondering... Is someone going to die? i know it's crazy talk but in Home-Skillet there were 4 players, and it looked like this

Meanwhile the Floppy-Deck in KGTAC looks to be the same except for the pattern on top which is like this

Only 3 points, And why change the design if it means nothing? I can't think of a reason to change it, It's so small i literally didn't notice it, I was originally just going to leave it at that. A Meme to show my excitement for the reveal and that's it. Maybe I'm just being a bit crazy here, its like 10:40 PM as of writing this, and this wasn't in my notes. it was just something i noticed when i went to fact check a joke i was making where I'd go like "The FLOPPY-DECK'S art is unchanged, this represents the fact that the FLOPPY-DECK is perfect, and needs no changing" but then i noticed the pattern on top was changed, And this is the best reason i could think of for why its different. If this means what i think it means. If Fred has 2 friends, Cole just dropped a character from the story. If Fred has 3 friends. Cole is going to kill off one of the Main Characters. There isn't much in the way of evidence for this, for obvious reasons any big theories like that can't be proven 13 pages into the story. But the sheer idea that i could be right has me shaking as I'm writing, The idea that if there are 4 Main Characters in Home-Skillet that one of them could be killed off before entering Sburb, and that's how the Timeline has to go is goddamn Bold.

I am utterly honored that you like my analysis posts. I make these posts since i absolutely loved Act 1 of KGTAC, and what started this was trying to figure out Where KGTAC would go next (as you may have seen by my theory posts in the comments of KGTAC before the end of ACT 1. Trying to figure out who the hell Fred was (as someone posted "You can now play as Fred Wilmore" editing onto Mario Galaxy's "You can now play as Luigi" , what the hell "h-s" was (I had thought at first Fred was made by Radical Dude since i misread a discord message hilariously enough.) Then searching up Fred's name, searching for what this was, finding some Tumblr post mentioning how Home-Skillet was meant to be a secret now, and digging until i figured out how to read Home-Skillet. I'd originally meant for that first post to be the end of my analysis, but i decided to continue due to how interested i was with how things were going (and for the fact one person liked my post, Which meant at least one person read it, which made me happy). It seriously makes me happy you've read my analysis and like it. Though with the fact that the discord has spoilers means i won't be joining it anytime soon, I'd like to keep trying to figure out what happens next without having it all revealed.

this time it's about both Silver's twin and Little Vanrouge

Like mmmmmmmm, I'll get to what I'm gonna get to the point about what I'm brain rotting about soon but first I want to propose an idea. What if while Silver was cursed with falling asleep way too quickly and at random times what if Silver's twin had a nasty case of insomnia like they cannot fall asleep at the times they need to.

also, imagine that there were nights where Little Bat was having trouble sleeping because they weren't feeling the best and were sick and it just felt off and so they would go into the library where they would read themself to sleep and Lilia would sometimes be there and he would read them to sleep while using magic to make the experience more magical, those memories being some of the only memories that they have of them both spending time together.

now into the actual brain rot, I needed to get that out of the way first.

Little Vanrouge started returning home more often once they met their nephew and twin as they wanted to have some form of relationship with them, they weren't going to stay forever, no their true passions were traveling and they weren't going to give that up, yes they were coming back more often (as they could spend multiple human lifetimes before returning sometimes at the most, they started returning every few months instead).

after a few days of a very awkward atmosphere, it's night and the children have been put to bed, Lilia is doing whatever he is doing and Little Bat is walking through the library trying to find something to read to pass the time, that was until they heard the library door open. They called out to the only other person who is supposed to be awake.

"Lilia?" The Little Bat called out to no response but a slight shuffling near the lounge that led to the entrance.

Concerned at that response (or lack thereof) but also not really because it might be Lilia and he might be playing a prank on them, they started walking towards the origin of the sound only to see their precious niece/nephew/nibling holding a child book.

"Sweet child, aren't you supposed to be asleep?" The fae asked looking at the child in front of them "I- Uhm- I couldn't sleep so I thought I would read until I felt tired," the child said looking at the ground, almost ashamed. The older fae sighed and said in an almost hushed voice "Do you want me to get your father?" The child shook their head frantically 'no' before looking down again and grabbing the hem of the fae's sleeve "Can ʸᵒᵘ ʳᵉᵃᵈ ᵗᵒ ᵐᵉ ᵖˡᵉᵃˢᵉ"

Surprised by the request but also kind of flattered that the child went to them instead of their brother, they ask for the book that the child is holding, it was an old fae folk tail that used to be their favorite and the one their brother would read to them, they knew it by heart and they learned the magic that their brother used to use while reading.

So determined to give the child a memory that stuck with them just as the memory of their brother reading to them did they picked up the child and sat them down on their lap before using magic to turn off the lights. Illuminated magic illustrated the story, interacting with the child every so often as they reached out to touch it, and when the story finished they found that their precious little niece/nephew/nibling had drifted off into dreamland. Being careful to not wake the sleeping child they shifted so that way the young child was sleeping on their chest as they lay on the couch and soon joined the child in sleep.

In the morning the young Fae found themself in their bed with vivid memories of the night before and it seems that it was the same for the child too, they found it weird, they don't remember putting (Name) to bed and getting in bed themselves but they found themself suspicious of their older brother who seemed to give them a proud look whenever he saw them the next few days.

I do like them as characters themselves (Jasper is a genuinely tragic and fascinating character so rife with anger and grief that I need more of, the Ruffs are hilarious to me and the original RRB episode is one of the coolest episodes of TV to me and probably my favorite PPG episode besides Boogie Frights (I won't take criticism), Jeremie is such a fucking loser but also super passionate about people they care about and would do anything for them), but I think just how much potential they have regarding my very specific genre of batshit world and character building makes me adore them.

Goncharov and the Symbology of Cigarettes

So, I have plenty of things that I should be working on right now, but the Goncharov brain rot has been hitting me hard.

I know a lot of people talk about the symbolism of time, which is valid and certainly one of the main themes in the film; Ice Pick Joe going as far as smashing the face of a grandfather clock and screaming, “We still have time? Haven’t you realized, Andrey? Our days were numbered- my days were numbered- the moment you walked into that office!”

But! The theme that most people don’t look into as much is the cigarettes. These scenes have some good symbolism and I love it.

When we first see cigarettes is when Andrey walks into Goncharov’s office. We see that there are two cases: a plain, dented, worn out case and a fancy, gold plated, case with leaf designs etched into it. Goncharov takes a cigarette from the old case, and Andrey asks him why he had two of them. Goncharov explains that each case has a different kind to match the exterior- the old case has cheap cigarettes and the gold one has expensive ones that are only not considered actual cigars because of their size. Andrey then asks how he decides which ones to smoke, and Goncharov replies, “The company. All of these people walking around here, spending their money on things to make them more comfortable- things to help cushion their ears from the sound of the people on the streets crying for nothing more than food- they don’t like the smell of cheap tobacco. It takes away their ear muffs and blinders and reminds them of the dirty kids they saw on their walk over here. As for the expensive ones- can’t be wasting those on people who don’t deserve them.”

We can see form this that at this point in the film, Goncharov sees Andrey as inferior to him, seeing as he smoked a cheap cigarette when he was in the office. Andrey, however doesn’t seem to mind this. He doesn’t want to be associated with the rich bureaucrats that he feels are ruining his country and killing his people. We see him embrace not only this feeling, but the role of being the fighter for his cause, no matter how little his efforts might affect, when he boldly walks around the desk, opens the old case, takes out a cigarette, and lights it with Goncharov’s own lighter. “Expensive tobacco always gives me a headache.” He blows the first puff of smoke at Goncharov before walking out of the office.

(Bonus point that doesn’t necessarily have to do with the cigarette theme: just look at the way the Goncharov watches him while he takes the cigarette from the case, especially how he focuses on Andrey’s hands. Kills me every time! 😩)

Something else that is used for the whole, “cigarettes are a metaphor for power,” thing is the fact that Ice Pick Joe is always bumming them off of other people. It’s something that he desires, but wishes that he didn’t as every time that he takes one he says it’s his last one then he’s going to quit. The same way that he wants out of this lifestyle and desperately tries to find ways to leave, but there always one more thing that pulls him back in. There’s more to this later, but I’ll talk about things chronologically so they get too muddled.

Another thing to note in this theme is the fact that Mario, arguably the most power hungry character, is almost always smoking. They even gave him a cigarette in the theatre poster. He’s always seeking power and trying to lord the power that he does have over anyone he can. When he especially lights up is when he’s in a situation where he’s trying to regain authority that he feel like he’s losing (seen in the few scenes where he and Goncharov meet in person, and in the infamous, “eye for an eye,” scene).

Cigarettes also are used to show the two-faced nature of Katya. There is some foreshadowing during the scene where she and Andrey are talking on the balcony. While they are talking, she takes his cigarette. While this might look like flirting, it’s most likely a visual metaphor for her being very advantageous with her stances; wanting to look good to people, but not actually willing to give up her prestigious status to stand up for Andrey or the others when Mario is going after them. This is represented by how she takes Andrey’s cigarette, takes one puff from it, then complaining that it’s, “too harsh,” for her before snuffing it out. She only wants Andrey to have power if it gives her power, and would rather see him taken out of the picture if he won’t stay in her grip, much like she would rather put out the cigarette than give it back to him.

The first time that Goncharov sees Andrey after he’s lost his eye, one of the first things does is to offer him a cigarette. Though there are no words spoken, it is hinted that this is also a way for him to ask Andrey to work with him now that he’s out of favor with Mario. Andrey turns it down, saying that he’s not so sure he likes cigarettes anymore, and that maybe Joe is onto something. It could also be that he sees Goncharov offering him one from the old, tin case, showing that while he respects Andrey enough to want him to work for him, he doesn’t respect him enough to call him his equal. That this would be the same situation that he was in with Mario, but just with a different person to step on him.

The Mario and Joe parts of this analogy both come to a head when Joe finally buys his own pack of cigarettes only to be shortly shot by Mario. In this case, Joe buying them showing that he’s finally accepted that much like his smoking habit, there is seemingly no way for him to escape the mafia life. And, the fact that Mario shoots him himself, and then proceeds to take pack off of Joe’s body shows that he’s desperate to regain any shred of power he can get, even if it’s over someone considered to be pretty low on the food chain like Joe.

The final bit of this we get shown is toward the end where, after taking out Mario as well as stopping Katya from killing Goncharov, Andrey is sitting on the floor and looking at his shoulder that got shot during the whole scuffle. Goncharov, almost as beaten and battered as Andrey, and certainly as disheveled, messes around at his desk for a moment before shuffling his way over to Andrey. He sits down, puts a cigarette in his mouth, puts one in Andrey’s, then lights them both. Then, Goncharov puts another cigarette into Andrey’s pocket. In the end, Andrey wasn’t worth a single, expensive cigarette to Goncharov. He was worth two. Andrey was twice the man that Goncharov thought he was.

It’s implied that Andrey kept closely working with Goncharov even after everything, as part of the closing narration says the line, “After that, I developed a taste for expensive tobacco, though, it still gave me a headache from time to time.”

Answer 1: Nope, but I've heard of it, it's like a platformer game right if I'm correct?

Platformer games gives a rise to my blood pressure, especially Super Mario Deluxe. Hopefully Celeste is a single player game, I might loose my voice if I keep yelling at my siblings to stay on track.

Answer 2: My best friend.

One day she was like, "Yo check this new game out, it's so cool looking!!" Proceeds to share with me her bundle of OMORI fanarts.

Then I was like, "wait a min, ain't that super familiar like the trailer I saw 2 years ago?"

Then she was like, "Woah you knew this before?!" And I replied yeah, because I knew bo en before I stumbled across the then OMORI demo trailer. That time I was under the assumption that OMORI is just like those scrapped game that is never gonna be finished but I didn't know/didn't get the news that its actually announced and played. It was 2021 then.

I didn't really pay attention to it, maybe I kept OMORI over the back burner, then still obsessing over Zelda instead, but it's only until I watched a "OMORI story explained" video that I got interested in it again, back in May.

Then I gave in and bought the game to play back in July, and now here we are.

Saddest thing is, my best friend got a new thing to obsessed over (ahem- Genshin -ahem) and I'm left with this brain rot myself. We still talk about omori occasionally, in fact, this drawing/post I made was actually a challenge my best friend gave me to do :D.

ok i kept this until something came to me and miraculously it did, tbi anon! (watching mario's motheavenly pv helped haha!!)

i dont remember if i mentioned this in any of my previous tbi-related answers, but something i've considered for a very good while is that ma-possessed riliane has a monstrous, "rotting" appearance

ma revealing herself to allen during endgame is quite literally her turning to him, stating her name and her power bursting out of riliane's body. no such thing as the vortex just appearing, no no no!! poor allen gets knocked some meters away from the force of the mini explosion (poor boy tho, witnessing ma screw up with riliane's body like that.......)

some other ideas that are somewhat formed but still subject to change in terms of context:

ma absorbing cain and abel because both were arrogant and stupid enough to try fighting her (how ironic, huh?). hansel also gets absorbed as to save gretel.

amostia waking up once ma awakes within riliane's body and saving allen from her as per gretel's request. he chews out on allen for not noticing that ma was inside of riliane's body, but gretel cuts him off because it wasnt time for fighting; if ma got any closer to any of them and absorbed them, she could forcibly ascend and erase the universe, and although amostia could brag about being the only one who could deal with her, she would surpass him if she absorbed more irregulars.

the "boy, what will you choose?" line from motheavenly changes to "nightking, what will you choose?" and is spoken by amostia

allen yanks ma from riliane's body and hands her out for amostia to fulfill his part of the deal (amostia would help them if he got to kill ma personally). [i can't imagine this scene without feeling catharsis, for whatever reason lol]

hansel giving ma a second chance, because in the end they were all irregulars, therefore all peers. none of them are saints. all have their own sins and regrets. but well, it doesnt work, she doesnt accept it. cue amostia
