tahir ⇢ what part of writing do you want to get better at?

To be honest, all of it! Especially, I think, not getting embarrassed at my own writing. I feel like I just need to start learning how to take a more objective view, instead of trying to refine, refine, and refine.

Another thing I would like to work on is my atmosphere! I hope to add more atmospherism into my writing, as some of my favorite authors do (a great example being @anya-dev and @manonamora-if, especially their game DOLOS)!

ALRIGHT SO NO, A WHOLE NEW STORY IDEA

this is kind of like those stories where it’s interactive/the reader is in a game and there’s different choices and each choice leads to a different result.

i’m unsure how the reader gets in this situation but they’re in a situation where they have to spend a month (3-5 chapters) in each alternate universe with the skellies for that AU. 

depending on which universe they pick will they need to be careful of what choices they make and who they choose to befriend/trust. the reader can gain items that they will keep forever (or until it breaks), can form friendships with anyone big or small, and other stuff that i need to think about.

So Haydee is 80% sale on Steam and I got it

Its actually a really good game. Like, its a very difficult puzzle metroidvania platformer that gives you no hints or directions or tips. Its really hard.

The first impressions you get is not accurate at all.

I'm bringing this up because my brain is working hard to solve these puzzles and to find my way around the map, that suddenly 5 hours has passed in 10 minutes.

Its digging into my writing time and the puzzles are staying in my brain when I quit the game.

leitmotifs never get old to me like holy shit dude there’s this melody that corresponds to this one guy and if you hear the melody it means the guy is there. holy shit. and sometimes it refers to ideas too not just guys. has anyone heard about this

the fact that i'm no longer the same age as the protagonists of novels and films i once connected to is so heartbreaking. there was a time when I looked forward to turning their age. i did. and i also outgrew them. i continue to age, but they don't; never will. the immortality of fiction is beautiful, but cruel.
