I HAD to send you two fic recs I've just finished reading by the incredibly talented @greymantledlady titled, respectively, "Awake," and "Fingers in the Fridge (and Other Dramatic Moments in the Life of Sherlock Holmes." Hello, do you have any Merlin fic recs which are very au? I love when they are in situations different from canon such as modern royalty, Hogwarts, superheroes, etc

Heyy! Merlin AUs are so fun indeed when they're well-written! I have a couple for you.

1. Tributes by TheAvalonian. This is a Merlin/Hunger Games crossover. Or, if I may, the best crossover that ever existed between the two fandoms. I kid you not, you'll stay on edge the ENTIRE fic, and you'll LOVE that!!! Merlin and Arthur in a dystopian setting trying to save one another is just >>>

2. Look After You by greymantledlady. Look: if you analyze my blood cells, you'll only find Hurt/Comfort running in them. I legit don't even care what the context is, as long as this is the centric trope. This one is short and so sweet, it'll go straight to your heart. It also gives you vibes of lovely domestic fluff, which is truly needed in this fandom.

3. To Be a Hero by fancyh. Vigilante Merlin and Detective Arthur but top tier. Anything by @fancyhwrites is top tier honestly. You'll really enjoy this one if you like the superhero trope!

4. I'll Take You Back to the Start by ZairaA. A classic for Modern Royalty! When we get King Arthur glorious in our age, what more could we ask for? This one is so good in its characterizations, especially the relationship between Arthur and Morgana. The good siblings trope in them always wins my heart.

5. The Very Last Place One Expects to Run into One’s History Professor by RileyWilliamsJr. Nothing's better than a HP × Merlin fanfiction where everyone is hyperfixated on the legendary Merlin while Merlin is just so done in the background! Absolutely loved this one, how quirky and fun it was.

This is from “An Elevated Situation” where Liam and Theo meet for the first time and you guessed it while stuck in an elevator on Valentine’s Day.

It’s my second piece for All The Thiam Love event which is taking a little longer than I expected but I hope to have it finished in the next day or two 😊

Ok, this took a while because I was taking a break from my WIPs for a little bit. But I started back on my writing schedule, so here is an excerpt from Discerning Devotion, the sequel to Atoning for Archangels. This is a dialogue-only excerpt from the first chapter. For context, Discerning Devotion is a pinefest.
