you furrowed your brows. you blink. you blink again, wondering if this was some sort of dream or a figment of your imagination.

dynamight?!

you clicked on the profile, checking if it was some fan account. you knew he had his fair share of fanpages, like every musician does, but this one was strange. no profile picture. no bio. no mutuals other than shoto. he had just a bit of followers. the next natural thing was to call shoto and ask who it was? and confirm if it was actually him before you started freaking out.

the phone rang once. twice.

“y/n!! hey what’s up?” he answered, he was somewhere loud, like a restaurant, you could tell. “hey—uh—where are you right now? i got a question.” you said closer to the microphone so he could hear you. “i’m out with sero, mina, and kirishima.” he said, nodding his head as if you could see him. “oh, sorry! really quickly, who’s this? they just followed me on instagram and i don’t know if it’s a fan account or..” you said, trailing off as you sent him a screenshot of the profile.

“oh yeah, that’s bakugo!” he said, laughing softly, knowing how much he’s your favorite. “bakugo?! like katsuki bakugo?!” you laughed, kind of shocked. “yeah.” he chuckled back. “well i’ll leave you alone for now, call me later.” you say, hanging up after he said bye.

“byee.” he called out in a sing-songy way as you hung up. he put his phone down, looking back up at his friends confused faces. “oh that was y/n, i think katsuki finally followed her on instagram.” he laughed softly, shaking his head.

“seriously? that’s great!” kirishima laughed.

“finally. he’s been obsessed with her for the longest time—just can’t admit it.” mina exclaimed, running a hand through her pink hair.

“yeah, he’s been asking me about her for the longest time, man.” he laughed, shaking his head.

“at least he finally grew the balls to do something, saw him talking to her earlier.” sero said, slurping up some pasta infront of him, before changing the subject.

back to you.

you were staring at your phone. at the notification. how did he find you? i mean, it’s not like you were incredibly private, you had a small following on instagram and you’d frequently post, but you didn’t think you were easy to find. you guess it was just that he searched your name in, but that meant he searched. for you. he searched for you.

you didn’t know why but you felt giddier than you were supposed to.

you followed him back, or atleast requested to follow him back since he had a private account and he accepted almost 10 minutes later.

it was time to snoop. (if he even had anything posted.)

you clicked on the anonymous pfp, visiting the profile, sighing in relief when he had 4 posts up, a couple of highlights, and one story.

you clicked the story first and gasped, a huge bicep meeting your eyes. you could see a bit of his chest but he was flexing his arms, that was definitely the main focus. god, he looked so good. this gym picture made your thighs clench, your heart flutter and skip a beat. it’s almost like he knew you were gonna see it.

katsuki was a confident man. he knew he was talented. he knew he was handsome. so he had no problem when he found your account a couple hours ago, and planned to post a gym photo, knowing he was gonna follow you after the show, so it didn’t seem intentional that he posted for you, but everyone else knew.

they knew cause suddenly, he was active on social media, suddenly he was posting more pictures of him, more photos of his friends, and what he likes to do, all for you.

their next show was next week, saturday, and he wanted you backstage. badly. but you didn’t know him like that, and he didn’t know you like that. at least with todoroki, him and sero were together and he knew him from highschool, but you? you were sort of unknown, you were ‘shoto’s friend’ or ‘that one fan’ to them. he couldn’t justify to his friends that he wanted to invite you backstage without admitting to everyone that he was interested in you. as if they didn’t know already.

he had a plan, he was gonna come up to you again after their next show, just like he did this time, and invite you to their usual get together after the shows. the only reason he didn’t was because he had an exam tomorrow, and needed the sleep. so he did, he slept knowing you followed him back, and saw his story.

truth be told, this week couldn’t go by slower. for both of you. college classes and work were taking a toll on you and the only thing willing you through these days was the concert on saturday.

once saturday rolled by, you were excited. with katsuki’s money, you got to bring a friend with you, your coworker, ochaco. you both met up an hour before the show, getting dressed all pretty as you did your makeup, putting on a ton of jewelry like you always did, with a pretty little skirt and that t-shirt of theirs with bakugo’s signature on the back. you took a couple photos and tagged ochaco in a story on your instagram.

you hurriedly got in an uber, taking pictures and talking about whatever was on your guys’ minds.

again, you were front row with her, screaming your hearts out and having fun, a night to remember. ochaco had found some girl and got whisked away with her, leaving just you, like you usually were by the end of the night.

you were in the same spot as last week, pulling out your phone to call for an uber, shivering in the winter air when you felt fabric envelope you from behind. it smelt nice, almost sweet like caramel, but it also had this cologne, an expensive scent it was, one that made your knees weak. it was also really warm, but not the only reason heat was coursing through your body. you turned to see who it was, already having your suspicions.

“hey.” katsuki smiled down at you, wrapping his jacket around you. “take this, you’ll catch a cold.” he said with a gruff, but soothing voice. you thanked him, smiling back at him and nodding as you pulled the jacket onto yourself more. “you were amazing up there.” you said, tilting your head and averting your gaze. “thanks, pretty.” he said, shoving his hands in his pockets. “you had someone with you tonight, who was that girl?” he asked, trying to spark a conversation. “oh, that’s my friend, ochaco, she’s real sweet. she works with me.” you explained, your cheeks still flushed from the name/compliment he called you earlier.

conversation between the two of you flowed incredibly easily, and before you knew it, 15 minutes had gone by of the two of you just talking.

“hey y/n.. did you wanna join us for dinner? it’s tradition for us to get food after concerts.” he asked, scratching the back of his neck, all of a sudden nervous you were gonna say no.

“yeah, of course!” you said, grabbing your phone and cancelling the uber you ordered, and almost right on time, his friends had left the backstage area, beckoning them over to get in the car.

you said hi to everyone, following them to the car and getting in beside shoto, talking to him about the show, ochaco, and bakugo. once you guys parked, everyone got out and started walking towards the restaurant. you and bakugo trailed behind the group, just chatting, the energy between the two of you electric. you sat together in the restaurant, and only talked to each other and it felt like everyone else around you guys disappeared when you both talked, the candlelight flickering across his face beautifully as you rested your head on you hand, eating up every word that fell from his lips and since you didn’t have work tomorrow, you had a couple more glasses of wine then usual before you all had to leave.

“do you need a ride home?” katsuki asked, looking down at you. you nodded, swaying as you stood, your walking kind of faltering so he slipped his arm around your waste, keeping you stable as he led the two of you to the car.

as he drove the both of you home, he let you rest, he didn’t expect anything of you, no talking, no flirting like you guys have been all night, no nothing. he just wanted you home safe, and he wanted to be the one to do that.

“you know, your nice lookin’” you slurred slightly, staring at him as he drove.

he glanced your way, chuckling lowly, in a way that made you squirm in your seat. “yeah?” he murmured, “i think your nice looking too, y/n.” he said, his eyes on the road but he could feel your eyes burning into him. you thanked him with a giggle, finally taking your eyes off him and looking out the window.

“you know what photo i always wanted?” you spoke up, glancing at him.

“hm?” he hummed in response, paying attention to the road.

“have you seen the ones where the girl hangs her head out the window and leans back?” you laughed softly, looking at him like he hung the moon.

he chuckled, nodding. “yeah, i’m familiar, why? you want one?” he asked, whipping out his phone already.

“will you? thank you, katsukii…!” you say, rolling down the window, giggling and laughing and you stuck your head out and leaned it back, the wind blowing through your hair. it was exhilarating and you could hear camera clicks and see the camera flashes as he took multiple photos while still staying attentive to the road, laughing along with you.

you didn’t know until the next morning, but he had posted one of those photos on his story with the song, the only exception by paramore playing in the background of it.

you eventually sit back down in your seat, your hair messy as you laughed softly, asking to see the photos, sending yourself the good ones by putting your number in, a cheeky way into giving him your number.

he laughed along with you.

“your beautiful.”

“yeah?”

“yeah.”

before you knew it, he was pulling into the driveway of your apartment buildings and walking you up.

you invited him in, and he followed, only to make sure you were nice, warm, and safe. you changed into your pajamas as he waited in your living room. he practically tucked you in, putting your phone to charge, leaving a glass of water on your night stand along with some painkillers and left when you fell asleep, he tucked your hair behind your ear before leaving, needing to get back home.

he dmed you later that night for you to see in the morning.

“sorry i left, y/n. i had to get home to my dog.”

“forgive me?”

he sent with a link to backstage tickets to their next show, with meal and drinks included, all paid for, for next sunday.

Megs. I’m talking about Megs. He’s my second favorite villain of all time rn (tied with Star actually), but he is the ultimate p.o.j (piece of junk).

In fact, this issue, def makes me wanna change my pfp, use the Transfixatron on Megs in his gun mode, and bury his aft in the more than 200ft deep mine shaft at the bottom of this crater fr.

Obviously it’s not deep enough but still.

Because, after all, at least in the US, you can join the military at 18 (or 17 with parental consent). Furthermore, it’s a sad fact of life, but many underage people fight in conflicts all over. It happens and is happening and I’m glad this has finally been (at least as far as I see and remember) explicitly acknowledged in a franchise about war.

I’m gonna try to be more organized about this but here are more things to note:

. We don’t know any Cybertronian’s official age. That’s never been a thing, because you’d have to calculate, and Hasbro ain’t doin’ that math.

. That being stated tho, based on the dialogue, Star/Ulchtar in this flashback could be anywhere from 14-19 years old in human years.

. It seems like he has some part-time job. Mood.

. This is the first time in canon I’ve seen a youngling Starscream join the Decepticons. In G1, he was an adult (former full-time scientist right?). In the WFC games, an adult. In TF One, an adult (and even older than Megs? I mean Steve Buscemi’s voice does not age fr so—).

. Kup looks significantly younger here than he does in Issue #7. That is Kup up there, right? Like middle-aged I guess? ⬆️

. When Genvo gets blasted, he falls forward into Ulchtar’s arms. I’m no physicist, but this means he must have been shot from the back, right?

. Optimus to me seems to appear from behind Ulchtar (in the other direction).

. Optimus presumably does not hurt Ulchtar (or even notice him?), which makes sense (if he saw Ulchtar). He’s unarmed.

. Optimus doesn’t have the same gun he did in Issue #1 here, and he has no gun at all in the Energon Universe Special sh*t how am I supposed to compare—

. Megs knows that Ulchtar has brothers (“brothers” can also refer to comrades. As in “brothers-in-arms”).

. Megs was able to answer Ulchtar’s question…despite him asking it in a low voice to himself? And from farther away? What?

. Megs, why the hell were you smiling when you made that claim in the EUS? That was my first 🚩, I just forgot to mention it before. Don’t you care about Cybertron? What is your deal? How old are you? HOW OLD IS OPTIMUS? HOW OLD IS JETFIRE NOW??????? THEY DIDN’T AGE THE SAME DUE TO THE CRASH—Oh wait right Void Rivals.

. Like no wonder Skybound Star acts so immature and violent, and maybe even resentful of Jetfire leaving him (which explains his hostility that caught Jetfire off guard).

In G1 he acts bratty, but he’s always been portrayed as an adult, so I didn’t expect this I just thought—FRAG— 😭

. I think we can all agree here that this is still not an excuse to lash out at the innocent, so Carly still deserves to get justice/his aft (idk [insert theme about revenge here]). But also Megs. Frag Megs, like honestly (I didn’t even like TF One Megs by the end). 😒

. And this is exactly how I imagine Megs recruiting his victims followers, especially when he’s interested in particular ones (it freaking happens in my AU but anyway— 😀).

Step 1: Show up at the right moment, when they are at their lowest. Act nice, very nice, and make yourself look less intimidating, by changing into something that’s not only small, but also capable of protection. Hence, a gun (gun-tank hybrid whatever—maybe he’s a triple changer like my AU).

It’s his way of communicating that he trusts you/sees your potential, and that you better could trust him because he will protect you, and guide you, and care for you, etc.—He’s totally not luring you into a false sense of security so he could use you. 🙂🫠

Step 2: Use information you know (to get even more personal) and high emotions to your advantage.

Step 3: ?????????????

Step 4: Profit until you get what’s coming to you.

Dammit why is he so magnetic? Forget the fusion cannon, that’s the scariest thing about him people!

My overall theory:

Genvo tragically said too much. Maybe he was trying to impress and gain Megs’ favor (somebody who he already looks up to), so he mentioned their (or just Ulchtar’s) clan (part of the Cybertronian defense force? Oh boy).

They’re numerous, fliers, and most valuably of all, some are outliers (have powers). Skywarp’s teleportation. The Rainmakers’ acid. Sunstorm’s radiation.

(Oh, how destructive that all would be in a fight…)

So, he put a tracker/recorder on Genvo (with or without his knowledge), wanting to find out what the clan’s deal was. Or maybe he or Soundwave just straight up stalked them via their alt modes, I wouldn’t be surprised. Are they interested in a side? Apparently not, and for Megs that’s a problem. Let’s make them interested.

Akin to the Aligned novels, he blows their territory up, intending to blame it on the Autobots. Genvo, perhaps aware of Megs’ plan/true intentions, is merely one loose end to tie.

In the end, Genvo wasn’t special or that useful, but he made for good fridge stuffing.

Idk how Omega Supreme factors into this. Maybe Optimus did blast Genvo. Nevertheless, Megs once again proves that he is the biggest selfish douchebag who cares more about himself than Cybertron’s future (unless proven otherwise?).

And I hope Carly wins/finds happiness along with Spike. Peace out. ✌️

been reflecting on my year a bit, and i was thinking about something. i think i know what the best thing i did for myself this year was.

making cometcare public. making the ask blog.

ive had this AU stirring in my brain since 2019, ever since i got really attached to doomi during the haunted arc. one reason i went so long without revealing pollarrydoomi as a ship to readers was because doom's crush wasn't public information until late 2021.

i had kept his crush a mystery for 3 years, but revealed it after a fun experience where people figured out who it was through guessing. i'm pretty sure i did a poll about it? asking people to guess who they thought it was, and uni won the vote, meaning everyone had already figured it out.

after pollarrydoomi was revealed and i started drawing art for it and people made fanart for it, i still couldn't post any of my AU art because ally wasn't public and she and howie were in the AU. in july 2022, for the comic's birthday, i revealed ally as a character to the readers. others around the time had started to notice characters i had in pfps and i ended up telling everyone i did have pollarrydoomi ship kids, but i didn't make them public.

in november 2022, i revealed eve on toyhouse. after her reveal, i would soon reveal sly as well in december 2022 on my birthday (revealing sly as a birthday present to myself is such a funny gesture now that you guys know how important he is to me). over the next few weeks i revealed cream, frosty, and marco as well. all of the main cometkids except chem.

then one day someone out there suggested that i make an ask blog for the cometcare AU. it was such a spontaneous decision, and i didn't even really know what i was gonna do with it at first. i was just kinda messing around. but when i made the blog i realized that if i wanted this AU to be experienced in complete authenticity, i couldn't make uni cis.

so i revealed uni being trans through the blog, despite the fact i'd gone so many years without ever revealing her identity. why did i do it? there's a lot of reasons. not wanting to make her a "dad" in the AU contributed, but also i felt like it wouldn't be detrimental to the story to confirm a character being trans. it also made me (and the crew in general) a lot more comfortable being able to properly refer to uni with her actual pronouns.

making the ask blog really changed me, because finally i could share this little family and comfort story i'd built in my brain with the world and make it real and make content for it and let people consume it.

but what stopped me most of all?

i've said it many times before... but i felt like it was cringey.

i felt like making an AU with 93985893844 fankids in a ridiculous complicated polycule wasn't something a Serious content creator should do, and i was really worried the reception would be negative or people would think it was stupid or something. i did NOT expect it to become as popular as it is. the blog actually has more followers than the MAIN ASK BLOG for the canon comic. it was received SO POSITIVELY and the fact it was just kind of blows me away.

it means so much to me. being able to share the most special thing in my life with people and for people to actually like it and have fun with me and want to see it, and for me to be able to not have to follow strict professionalism about spoilers and chronological storytelling, and being able to change and add in things whenever i felt like it. it's such a freeing experience.

when i was a kid, i used to make stories and OCs and i didn't take them as seriously as i do the sparklecare reboot. this kind of turned into my entire life and career kinda, so i had to take it more seriously. but making this AU honestly just makes me feel like i'm a kid again, it makes me feel like i can have fun and literally do whatever the fuck i want without worrying what people think or if it's realistic or if it makes any sense.

i know though, that some people don't like pollarrydoomi. and i know why. whether it's because of being attached to barruni (of course, they're the canon ship and main characters, i get it) or just having discomfort with the idea of shipping doom with anyone when canonically he hasn't experienced a redemption arc... i get it. i know not everyone likes it.

and that's okay! people are entitled to having their own feelings about content. i understand it. and i've come to accept that's always going to be the case with anything i do with these characters.

but i'm still going to do this for myself. i do this because it makes me happy to just have fun and not worry about being serious all the time. it feels good, especially when it's with characters that are really really important to me.

cometcare is genuinely the most special and important thing i've ever made for myself, it's such a huge piece of my identity and it makes me who i am. and being able to make this story public and share it with people and share these things that have been in my brain for so long with others means so much to me.

that's why i think it was the best thing i've done this year. it's kind of literally changed my life to be able to talk about them. it's made me happier than i've ever been making content. i'm not just making it to entertain myself alone anymore, i'm making it to entertain others like i do with other stuff. and the fact people actually like it still is unbelievable to me.

so, i guess my outlook for next year as it comes is to continue to stop taking everything so seriously. i can tell my stories however i want to. i hope others can realize they can do this too.

please make whatever you want, whenever you what, as much as you want, even if it doesn't make sense or if it's "cringe". you will be so much happier when you realize as a creator you DON'T have to take all of this so seriously. the comic still exists and people read it even if i'm doing this. You Can Do Whatever You Want And Nobody Can Ever Stop You. the only person who can stop you is yourself when you let your inhibitions get in the way of your ability to create things for yourself.

THE TRAGIC SHIPS TOURNAMENT: ....loser's round?

oh shit i completely forgot about this uhh-

Hi! It's me again! I'm so sorry that my last real update was *checks watch* 2 months ago. I guess life this summer was a lot busier than originally planned smh smh

So, where did we last leave off? Ah, that's right. Madohomu beat Orphydice in a close upset and became the first official winners of the tragic ships tournament. I also revealed my identity and also finally watched the Wicked movie and started watching BBC Ghosts but that's not relevant now. And as per company (cough cough, blog) policy, I have changed my pfp to them, a crown they will hold temporarily until the next official tragic ships tournament (hopefully) happens.

But what about the ships that were less fortunate? That didn't manage to take the throne? The ones that... got out on round 1? The losers?

That's right, we're finally doing the loser's bracket after me promising it for months! Again, I am so sorry for forgetting about it, life gets in the way sometimes.

But I promised that we were gonna do this, and besides, it's been a pretty boring few weeks anyhow.

But uhh before I show the brackets, I gotta do some ground rules.

I am going on a pretty big and important trip with some family in a couple days! As such, I'm gonna be WAYYYY less active on here then I was during the first tournament. And besides, this one is basically just a filler thing anyway. Don't take it too seriously. As such, I will not be reblogging propaganda on the polls. You're still allowed to make them, obviously, and I will be answering asks including propaganda, but I will not be reblogging them.

Wrap up posts after each round unfortunately will also be much shorter. No highlights or snarky commentary from this gal this time around, sadly. They'll just be me posting the new, updated bracket and the times the next round will be posted. Speaking of which, it might take a longer time for the rounds to be posted and I might miss the already established date and time, and for that I do apologize. But I'm taking a trip across Europe guys, this is intense stuff. How else am I supposed to try Dutch Pancakes? (note: this is a joke). Rounds also may be shorter, but that's still not a 100% guarantee.

But of course, a lot of things are gonna be staying the same. There's still 2 brackets, Bracket A and Bracket B, and the winners of which will be facing off in the finals.

Well, after some deliberation, I've decided not to include them this time around. Why? Well, you see, when this tournament first took root and I decided to include them as a joke, all the way back in... what was it? December? Trump had not yet taken office. The political landscape was different. Bleak, yes, but different. But now he's been in office for 100 days, and he's causing an indisputable amount of harm to marginalized communities all across the U.S. As not just a queer person, but also a person of color, I feel like it's my responsibility not to glorify anything involving this man even more then already is.

Besides, looking back, there's some odd connotations to shipping both of these men. And no, I'm not talking about the 'no rpf' rule. But it's so childish to just... make fun of politicians by saying that they're gay and making out sloppy style. I know, I know, one of these men is incredibly homophobic (though Biden is still a jerk in his own right), but does that not make it worse? While yes, there is cases of homophobic men being secretly gay (there's even some on this very list), Trump is decidedly not one of them. And besides, more homophobic men are just that. Homophobic. By making fun of politicians for being gay, we're no different from middle school kids making fun of each other by calling kids on the playground gay.

So sorry about that tangent, but rather poetically, 'My Hopes and Dreams' is gonna be moving on to the next round automatically to face the winner of Whizzer and Marvin VS. Ivan and Till.

Hello 🙋🏻‍♀️ I wanted to make a post about The Observer for the past few days but had no time. Today I found @delicateperspective post on it and think this sheds really good light on it already and I agree with the conclusions and observations included in the post.

I'll give my opinion and a shorter summary nonetheless because I wanted it in a post for archiving purposes anyway. I'll add my screenshots and thoughts I had throughout the first few days and maybe I do an additional post when the profile is debunked/deleted or whatever conclusion comes of this. I'm in for the ride. 🙌🏻

I'll start with: I was intrigued in the beginning ...

I was alerted through a mutual on my timeline fairly early when only 21 people (22 me included) followed. I 'Google Lens'ed the 369 pfp and the header coming up with no results. (meaning it's AI generated pics or original designs, nothing that's already circulating on the web)

I thought the first post including faith in the future and the profile following LTHQ and Louis is pretty obvious who the profile user wants to be perceived as. (Maybe a bit too obvious for a riddle or an announcement acc. Maybe the profile owner wants it to be obvious?)

'Listen carefully everything begins again.' - What begins again?

Day 1 the 369 disappears from pfp but I didn't see it had the 1 on the pfp - I just thought the 369 disappeared, only saw it on day 2 when I saw the two and someone showed a ss of the 1.

I looked at the screens and recognized the placement resembles a dartboard (Thanks Dad 🎯) and the TL thought the same. I was sold it really could be the announcement for AFHF.

Day 3: I felt different. The post got me pretty emotional (which I discussed with my GC)

I felt .. it's pretty unfair if it's not Louis'/his team to play with fans (larries or in general) feelings making it sound like he wants to erase/change his past and kinda fears for his future..?

Later the Rolling Stone interview dropped and I was kinda baffled about some of things Louis said. We already knew he sees stuff but I found it interesting that he admitted to lurking and having 'a birds eye view' right now - I mean that's observing, right? - I wrote in my GC:

Day 4 & 5: I just ss but had no interesting thoughts. I saw people pointing out the connection to Harry's door acc.

Day 6 & 7: Why the Unknown? Sometimes the random post, sometimes the numbered day + time

and now day + unknown? (I also thought pretty weirdly shaped 7?)

The deleted tweet only few saw: I read about it on the TL later and managed to get a ss from a moot .. I didn't sit down at that time to make sense of the added numbers we don't already know in the fandom. But I saw people discussing it to be maybe important dates.

So before I went to bed this happened: and the pfp changed to a more zoomed out version. Interesting.

Day 8: people said it really sounds like AFHF.

Before I went to bed we got a 'dating article' (rumours) and I stayed up a bit but slept when The Observer posted the 'fabricates fairytales' post. Saw it in the morning and thought: if Louis/his team would be behind it, The Observer should have hinted at the incoming news beforehand. It would've made it more believable and credible like my lovely friend @fookinhellcurlyyy and I agreed on. (one screenshot is from our GC)

And the account followed AFHF just recently so. Also weird.

Conclusion and final thoughts for now:

I had mixed feelings about this. Some days I was sold on it being Louis/some announcement acc but after a week of this I'm leaning towards scam. Everything is too much and sometimes still too cryptic.

Some posts really sound like AI generated quotes.

So be safe everyone, right now it's fun but we don't know what the intentions behind the account are. Is it an anti trying to make us look bad or playing with our feels? Is it a fellow larrie?

It has to be someone deep into the lore, that's for sure. I would love for it to really be Louis/his team making an announcement or promo but right now it looks kind of scammy to be honest.

Hey guys! guess who forgot to post this months ago and the pics rotting in the drafts :D

So for my senior project I convinced the professor to let me work on a corset even though it was a class for outdoor products! As someone who needs extra back support a corset to help me keep better posture is amazing, and if I'm making a custom one for me, why not add pockets so that it's even more useful!

The first pic is the digital concept sketch I turned in

Then we have the various stages of prototypes made of a thick cotton to make sure things would fit the way I wanted before I cut things from my nice fabric. I went through 3 different iterations of the bra cups, 2 on the straps, and took out almost 3 inches from the side seams at the under arms. I also broke three needles testing my boning insertion because I didn't quite cut them short enough.

The next row shows how I went from 4 piles of cut pieces for the different layers, to the two layer that got sewn together. The Fashion layer of cotton herringbone getting basted to crisp horsehair underling, and the lining layer of green satin that was bought for a completely different project and is finally getting used here having crisp sew in interfacing attached.

the next four pictures take you through sewing my panels together, making the boning channels, inserting the boning, and just how much curve got added since the boning came in a roll XD

then a close up of me trimming my seams because the pattern instructions rarely tell you to do this BUT IT MAKES EVERYTHING LOOK SO MUCH BETTER ON ENCLOSED SEAM I PROMISE. also texture.

then comes the construction of the cups, which was a trick! once I got the pieces sewn together I had to go through and edgestitch the seams open in order to make it so they would curve correctly. the close up on the cup shows this particularly well and also! shows off how cool the different grains working together is with herringbone because the little V's are pointing towards each other and blending beautifully.

the next row has the line of topstitching to make a wire channel to put in the underwire that supports the cup (I could not find any underwire at any of the stores I tried and was running low on time ... So I just went to the thrift store and bought a bra to harvest the wire) I also may or may not have added a beaded lace trim for some ✨spice✨ which cost me 2 hours of hand stitching

next row shows just how neatly lining the straps went! I was a little worried about that since I hadn't had time to try it on my prototype. then comes the part I pulled an all-nighter on to get this thing turned in on time, trimming the upper and lower edges in order to wrap bias tape around the edges and slipstitch the entire thing closed BY HAND since I would have hit my boning and broke more needles if I used the machine to do it :(

Then the row with my current pfp on it! :D another one of my goals with this corset was being able to put it on and off far easier and quicker than the corsets that lace in the back, so I had changed out the laces in the back and split the front, adding these really cool hook and eyes to the edges, and in the process accidentally took what may be the best picture of my life. then the pockets, which wen through their own series of prototypes before I settled on the design you see, and rather than line the pockets with the easily snagged and light satin, I used more of that durable heavy cotton so that I can actually use those pockets (which don't quite fit my Ipad, but everything else I tend to want? easy fit) I will put more on eventually, but this was done mere hours before the project was due so I could only get out 2 at the same quality of the rest of the corset

the next three are just different view of how proud I am of my corset! Because in just over a month I made that! and it looks good and feels good too (๑•̀ㅂ•́)و✧

Then the last two pictures are interesting, because prior to this class I had never thought too hard hard about how they get the drawings of the clothes on the back of the pattern envelope. But since this class was designed to help us get experience in doing things to industry standard, we all had to make technical flats of our projects after they were due and put them in a packet with all the details a factory would need to replicate the project, by doing these drawing I learned so so much about digital art and it really pushed me grow more than anything else in the class.

I think the reason Arthur doesn't seem to get much development is because his personality is extremely adaptable. He gets along with just about every wizard, and there isn't a moment where his views are challenged like with Riquet and Mitile's understanding of the world. His views also align closely with the Sage's, who is a huge driving force in character growth, such as with the Northern wizards. Without conflict, wizards don't feel obligated to change.

The only thing I can think of that would induce development for Arthur is confronting irrefutable evidence of Oz's world domination history. Stories have come close to showing it before like Central Prelude, but nothing substantial ever comes of it.

If I could recommend an Arthur-centric story though, it would be Central Rhapsody. Please give it a chance if you haven't read it before!

All "options" end up in him answering basically the same thing. He wants everyone to get along amd everything to go smoothly and he will metaphoricaly spread himself thin for it. But it's been years and this tendecy of his hasn't changed much...

Him and Akira sharing the same vision is an interesting point to make. In a way, he is akira's main support in ms1. Good remark, anon dear.

But still, that isn't my problem. My problem is that Arthur doesn't clash with anyone in any significant way even when he should. We know from central etude and ms1 and ms2 that he usually just lets people walk all over him in the name of politeness. Even when other people are wrong and when they hurt him, he'd never retaliate. I guess he doesn't have much choice, wanting to both protect his image as a prince in the eyes of wider society and as a wizard in front of humans (as in, "i need to behave well because if i misbehave, then people will hate all wizards). I just. I just want Arthur to have some kinda development where he is a person and not just a prince or a wizard or any other abstract simplified symbol. He literally even says this in events sometimes, that it's a struggle to make people see him for who he is instead of categories that he can be sorted into. but i have never seen an event in which this actually is talked about.

(Side note, one of the closest events i have seen that talk about this was...the sanrio collab event lmao. In which oz vents to pompompurin (my pfp hiii) about how lonely arthur is because no one is really like him or experienced the same things he did. Only event this gets acknowledged.)

My other problem is that most arthur events end up with coly being like "look at baby arthur memories" which adds absolutely nothing to arthur's current character. I mean i like them and they're cute but it just feels so overdone at this point. It just feels like a cheap way for coly to evoke emotions in their reader without actually risking anything with arthur. Like if i kept holding up videos of baby kittens to you. It's guaranteed an "aaawwww" reaction without any real substance.

I guess i kiiiinda get it. Unlike mitile or riquet, arthur has political influence. And as an author, if you mess with the prince, you're gonna have to mess up the whole kingdom too. For now, mhyk plotline seems moreso focused on west kingdom and not central kingdom, so they're avoiding anything with arthur. BUT THAT'S SO ASS BRO, WHY DOES MY BOY GOTTA SUFFER BECAUSE YOU'RE TOO SCARED TO DO ANYTHING WITH HIM.

I did, in fact, read central rhapsody. And i absolutely adore that we finally got some info on baby arthur in granvelle castle, not just oz's castle. More mama granvelle when? I need her. I need more of her conflict with arthur so bad. But then again, this is still baby arthur memories.

We had soooome friction between oz and arthur in anni2 and anni4. Hell, anni4 even had arthur completely breaking down. But then when we go back to events it's all sunshine and rainbows with arthur again😭 like the writers are completely avoidant with arthur in event stories, and push him only in tiiiiny steps in the main story and idk. I don't like it. I need arthur to do something drastic soon. It would fit him as a guy with negative survival instincts.

I think even the most irrefutable evidence will have zero effect on arthur. He is a history revisionist because he wants to and needs to believe that oz is a good person. He does not care if the whole world tells him otherwise, he'll just deny it. Maaaybe there would be another outcome of oz himself admits to his crimes in front of arthur. But poor arthur already deals with so much and oz would never burden him with that until he's ready.

so one of my favoritest things about musical theatre is how sometimes someone will play a role MANY times and each time that character is portrayed differently because of different directors AS WELL AS that actor growing to understand the character more

that being said, barry dennen played pilate like THREE TIMES! as any of you would guess from my pfp, i LOVE that guy! so! for funsies! im going to analyze (ramble about) his second pilate portrayal, which was in the 1971 broadway musical! im mostly going to break down his character in trial before pilate because pilate’s dream doesn’t offer anything much different from the 1973 movie version… trial before pilate however…

in case youre wondering how differently he plays the same character… this photo should be a good summary for what this analysis will contain… (hint: he is so angry)

then he goes from this HIGH HIGH point of emotions to very low low soft emotions for “talk to me jesus christ” and its like. idk im just thinking bro where is this coming from?!! ur all angry and then u turn around like “jesus literally say smth jesus pls :3” like idk i think its a bad transition.

AND THEN WE GET! im going to put this clip here for those not listening along

this segment. i can literally hear him frothing at the mouth WHO GAVE MY BOY RABIES?!!! WHY IS HE SO FERAL?!!!!

i just. its almost like hes looking for a crime because he actively wants to kill jesus and just needs a reason to pull the trigger. which is like. so not true about his character??? he also sounds like hes insulting jesus here, mocking him. like bros, literally everyone else is already mocking and insulting jesus in this moment. alternatively, if this moment is played more like pilate showing pity on him it provides good contrast! it makes everything more complex and Layered!

OKAY! so when he starts singing the “where are you from jesus” segment, i think this starts out so well! perfect sense of how pilate is just desperate for jesus to speak, to say anything to defend himself. bro also lowkey sounds like hes about to start weeping?? get this man some tissues!

AND THEN he ruins it in the way he emphasizes “dead soon.” YOU WERE DOING SO GOOD! what now?! are you threatening him for answers? and then he goes back to that previous tone like that was nothing! HUH? AND THEN! by the end of “i dont believe you understand” hes just kinda suddenly shifted back into that anger we are so familiar with. dude get a nap or something. chill out my guy good lordt

and the way hes like “youre a foOOL jesus christ” is just such a weird delivery (like that caesar thing from earlier, odd changes in pitch) and it just! i cant take him as seriously! i do like his “how can i help you?” right after, though, it just sounds deliciously horrified and like desperate and sick. acceptable!

and then the climax of the song! the part where he SHOULD show some kind of anger and SHOULD outright yell! “DOOOONT LET ME STOP YOUR GREAT SELF DESTRUCTION!” it just doesnt stand out as much when you have set the precedent of “oh well hes just kinda. feral and angry like that for the entire time” NO! GIVE ME CONTRAST OR GIVE ME DEATH! and even in this final part, hes still just too angry! theres not much else to it! hes yelling the words but hes not comprehending them!

i think when it comes to pilate as a character, it is very easy to lean into “angry, intimidating, angry, intimidating” and that’s just kinda… no! yes, he needs to have presence and be at least a little intimidating but not because hes yelling at you all the time! hes also terrified, full of guilt, and he has sympathy for jesus! he doesnt want to kill him, but he eventually realizes that he has no choice in the matter and THAT is what leads to him snapping and finally yelling at the end! because everything is fixed and YOU CANT CHANGE IT! AND HE CANT!

and yeah! thats my thoughts and breakdown about this specific performance! lmao! i think a lot of things about pilate, also they shouldve hired me to direct the 1971 bway production… i woulda given good notes… and also barry dennen was still developing his interpretation of the character and it IS better than the concept album (and concept album pilate has like… 0 presence… he sounds like a little nerd dork… i COULD break down that performance but its not asssssss juicy.)

in one of your last posts you seemed to imply that the multiverse exists inside the timeline, but ive always read it as the opposite, the timeline inside the universe that would explain why the trolls can pick any time from the humans universe to talk to them but cant have private conversations with their own futute/past selves, its not an inherent part of trollian, they are just outside the human timeline (the memos are still trollian being time fucky) dont know if that makes any difference but its a thought also i realize the tag may be unecessary due to my quirk, but its too late to stop now

Doomed timelines don't seem to let you communicate with other universes/dimensions, though, so they don't need to contain other sectors of reality. I'm currently of the opinion that doomed timelines only contain an instance of the dimension they were doomed in. The only timeline which contains the entire multiverse is the Alpha.

This mechanic keeps doomed timelines simple, but in-universe, I don't know why it exists. Much like the Alpha itself, it's a mystery I can only speculate about.

I got a few skeptical asks about Equius<>Feferi, but you're the only one who discussed it on the post itself. I guess by some measures, you are the most dedicated hater, because your hate was posted publicly! 🤣

Tavros is barely a presence on the Land he's ostensibly the hero of, and all of his actions are being dictated by a third party who can physically control his body. This third party does not acknowledge or respect Tavros's own desires, effectively forcing him to play the game in a way that she personally approves of.

Shit, this is such a dilemma. I'm honestly really torn.

See, I'd probably find old fandom theories absolutely fascinating to analyze. I'd love to know how closely my ideas align with those of the early Homestuck fandom, and whether I'm saying anything really out-of-pocket. My analysis of Sollux's ~ATH script was apparently an original theory, and it's honestly one my proudest moments.

But that's also sort of the problem, isn't it? If I dive too deeply into other people's fan theories, they'll start to affect my own - and if I'm introduced to a really compelling fan theory, it could end up replacing any homegrown theories that I could have developed in lieu of it. If someone had send me a well-reasoned ~ATH theory before I did my own analysis, I'd probably have been less motivated to make the analysis in the first place. After all, many of my questions would already have been answered by a clever theory I just read.

People are free to send me their own off-the-cuff opinions on what's happening in the comic, or their own takes on any meta I write. I get a lot of asks like that, and they're some of my favorites.

Obviously there's a fine line here, and whether a given ask is a theory or just an opinion is a little subjective - but in my opinion, the influence that asks and submissions have had on my analysis has been relatively minor. I don't think many of my theories have been spawned from an ask, or killed by one.

This is a little different, though, because it's part of a theory that was crowdsourced over several years. It doesn't sound like something that could be inferred by an individual, so I'm not sure if it's something an individual liveblogger should necessarily know about? If I start crowdsourcing my analysis, my theories will be less Wertsearch and more fandom consensus, and I don't think I'd enjoy that as much.

I really want to know, but I think I'll enjoy the liveblog more if I don't. When I finish the comic, I'll gleefully analyze any fan theory that anyone sends me - but for now, I'll just have to wonder, and come up with theories of my own!

Yeah, we've really been getting into it with Vriska lately. I've enjoyed trying to explain and predict her actions, and I'm glad people don't think I'm going overboard when trying to analyze her.

When a character does something interesting, I don't like to move on until I have a theory about why they did it. Sure, it may be refuted later, but it needs to be something that's consistent with what I currently know about their personality.

Vriska takes a particularly long time to puzzle out in this way. Her motivations are derived from a complex web (lol) of factors, including Scratch, Spidermom, her rivalry with Terezi, her horrendous relationship with Tavros, classism, teenage hormones, quadrant politics, highblood society and the Alternian culture of violence. They all inform her decisions, and any combination of them could have been the catalyst for the latest Vriska Incident.

I want characters to make sense to me, and Vriska is written to deliberately challenge my attempt to achieve this. Her meta is fun to write, so I'm glad it's also fun to read!

Happy New Year’s Eve to Everyone!

For me? This was an amazing year, nothing compared to the other ones I had before, not even in the old fandom that I was before and I was for a really long time, The Once-ler Fandom was something completely new for me, I never NEVER felt so comfortable in a fandom that has such a story and people before, this was so hard for me to even see!

How I met this fandom? Easy.

I got sick like at the beginning of May if I'm not wrong, my stomach used to hurt too much and my doctor said that it was better for me resting at home, I was feeling so bad.

In those whole 2 weeks I guess, I was consuming YouTube. I have a favourite YouTuber that I used to watch lots of his videos, but one of them I didn't watch yet was a video about Tumblr sexyman!

What the hell is that? I asked myself, so I checked it and OH. MY. GOD, it was so funny to see, until I saw him.

When I met this fandom and this little fella:

I thought it was crazy (specially the Oncest part lol) but in a really impressive way, and when the time passed, I didn't even notice that I got super interested about it.

When I noticed….. I knew what to do, I log into my Tumblr account after 1 year (because I didn't knew what else to do with it) and I changed EVERYTHING, my nickname, my pfp, I added new pages, I finally changed my Tumblr theme, EVERYTHING, and I converted it into an Once-ler's shrine 😭

I did the same thing with my computer and my phone, I put some Once-ler's wallpapers and I changed my pfp to a Once-ler's one in every single social media I have omg

Until August I was finally uploading original content like my art.

Now, I can say that I'm glad that I found out about this fandom, I entered into it and I became an Onceling, I didn't even notice at first!!!

Spin Spirals, Shapeshifter Goddess of Space and Totally not my Authorsona...

Oh hey the girl in my pfp. Wonder why that is. Totally isn't because Spin Spirals is my representation online and my author insert in OSAL... ok she is. I have always struggled with sticking with ONE persona online, one character to represent me. I have gone through many but none stuck. This is part of why Spin is a shapeshifter---she is everchanging. If you wanna psychoanalyze me like Rose because I wanna be a shapeshifter, go ahead... creep. Notes on art: Started out as a Luxlux drawing but couldn't get the outfit right. But more Spin art is always good! I like how I drew her dress-hoodie-thingy. Usually it looks too tight, short, and the sleeves go nowhere. But here, she totally rocks it, is properly covered, and you can see the obvious Grim Reaper inspiration. HANDS: Used a thinner brush and that helped a bit but they still suck. Background is simple but fitting of Spin as it i- Notes on character: Spin Spirals is really dear to me and my art journey. I can't go into it here but her story in my real life is complicated. As for in canon, Spin is the ??? of Space and acts as a bridge between the viewer and the story while also being in the story observing the story. It is weird authorsona stuff. She has a whole storyline that runs alongside the entirety of OSAL about parasocial relationships, isolation, identity, and belonging. She shows up every 500 or so pages in comic to answer questions. Final notes: Spin is a perfect shapeshifter. Meaning, she can change her form however she likes. That is why, in just about every drawing of her I make, she has a different haircut. Sure, it is a lame use of her tremendous powers but she is a silly ??? year old who only uses her powers for greater transformations when she absolutely needs to. Funnily enough, she is actually really close to her original form, even though she forgot what she used to look like. A whole bunch of paradox reasoning behind her creation and her role in everything. Continued: The girl who represents OuroboroSalvation, bearing its symbol on her chest. The girl who watches, wanting to be with the people she has grown attached to. The girl who needs to be saved from the cycle... Guess you could say, she needs...
