HAPPY BIRTHIVERSARY part 2 - Crop Tops & Punk Skirts

FUN FACT: The Sims 2 (2004) was released 3 days before the date upon which I was released from my mother's womb, therefore making me younger than The Sims 2 by 3 days as of September 14th 2024, but objectively older by 6 years as of September 17th 2024. As of this post, it is now my birthday. I can feel the hands of time slowly pulling me into the earth. Let's celebrate!

Today's Very Special Birthiversary post includes a set of stylish, vaguely Scene-inspired clothes for ladies: 24 recolors of the Urban Primitive skirt, separated from the Maxis outfit by Skell, and 5 Goth themed patterned recolors and 5 bright solid recolors of the 4t2 Bow Crop Top by MDPthatsme, with black tank top undershirts attached using textures by DeeDee. The clothes are for AF and TF, with Standalone and Repositoried options for TF, and they come with all morphs.

All meshes are included and special characters that would make the game load slower (specifically hyphens) have been removed from the filenames. Since the skirt is from the ever popular Maxis Match Repository Project, you probably have the mesh for the skirt lying around in your Downloads somewhere, so make sure you don't have duplicates.

For the skirts, there are two versions with tights - one of which is a mashup of fishnets by Io (colored red and black) and the Maxis black and white stockings, and the other is the Maxis shorts+fishnets texture because I liked it - and one version with bare legs, which can be used with @themeasureofasim's stockings accessory boxes. (actually only a handful work, see under the cut)

The crop tops and the skirts are 'meant' to be paired together but, being separates, you can mix and match with any other top or bottom you want.

Secondly, this is my first time 'retexturing' clothing instead of just recoloring it, as well as the first time I've done anything clothes-related in a very long time, so please be gentle to me with your criticisms and let me know if anything needs fixing <3

I wanted to recreate this outfit using only textures, because I know nothing about meshing and Milkshape scares me. As you can probably tell, I got a little carried away from the original goal.

I mashed a bunch of patterns, textures, and colors together on top of the crop top and skirt in an effort to learn 'advanced' recoloring of clothes in GIMP, as the most I've ever done before was just recoloring using pre-made PSDs. it was a bit of a disorganized disaster and there was quite a bit of blood, sweat, and tears. But the end results look... mostly nice, I think.

The arm warmers and fishnet gloves shown in the preview are a pair of accessories created by katsurinssims that I used to try to 'complete' the look, and are not included in this download.

Edit: im very sorry, I only tested a handful of the accessory stockings on the bare legs skirts, because I was very tired and there are A Lot of them, and assumed they would all work. But after a bit more testing, some of them have small gaps or poke through the boots, and the ones that are supposed to go over the crotch area end up looking like over the knee socks. Other than that, most of the knee high socks and tights work, but only on AF. I don't consider this a huge problem though, because a good amount of the tights work and the ones with gaps are barely noticeable.

There's a shoe swap that makes all of the boxes work with these skirts and I'll make another versIon of them with that mesh later.

Since it's Atsushi's birthday let's share some more facts about Nakajima-sensei's life I have learnt thanks to the wikipedia's article on Atsushi Nakajima (jap > eng translated, thankgoogle translate) and the Nakajima no Kai in Twitter/X.

Again, it's important to mention that the following facts are vaguely translated and I suggest not to take them too seriously. However, I still find them interesting to know so many of us can enrich our analyses on the bsd character and/or expand any sort of headcanons!

Background and Family:

1. Atsushi's biological mother was a former elementary school teacher. Her maiden name was Chiyo Okazaki. It is said that she may not have fit into the Nakajima family due them being centered more into the education of boys rather than girls, her intelligence and "aggressiveness" was not proper of housework (accordingly to the values at that time). She separated from Atsushi's father when he was around 1 year old. She later remarried and had a son (Yukio, Atsushi's half-brother)

2. Atsushi's father was Tabito Nakajima. He was a scholar in Chinese and Confucian studies. He treated Atsushi in a strange manner (he was very distant of him yet proud of his son). He remarried twice after divorcing Atsushi's mother.

3. Atsushi had 2 step-mothers: Katsu Konya (his 1st step-mother)and Kou Io (his 2nd step-mother).

4. He proposed to his wife with a simple "Be my wife". Funny part is that he proposed a week after meeting her.

Miscellaneous:

1. As a teacher at Yokohama Girls' High School, he taught Japanese and English. It is said he was rather strict but his classes were fun.

2. It is said that he did not like watermelons nor cucumbers, but he preferred persimmons.

3. Around 1937, he took part of the gardening club of his school. Some people said he got interested in this hobby due the early death of his daughter and his own deteriorating health.

4. His hobbies included ballroom dancing and gardening.

Thanks for the tag @jayveesim - Since I recently did the Pinterest pic tag for Miko, I'll share Stevie's answers for these questions

What uncommon/common fear do they have? Stevie has a fear of not reaching her full potential. She envisions a very specific future for herself but she worries she’s not doing enough to get where she wants to be.

Do they have any pet peeves? Her tolerance for lateness is non existent.

What are 3 items you can find in their bedroom? Her journal, her mediation stool, a stack of gossip mags.

What do they notice first in a person? How a person carries themselves. She’s very much attracted to confidence.

On a scale of 1 to 10, how high is their pain tolerance? Hmm maybe 6-7 She does a lot of guided breathing exercises & I think she would try to calm herself and work through the pain using those techniques.

Do they go into fight or flight mode when under pressure? I guess fight but more in the sense of trying to take control of a situation. Like she def would be the sim who grabs the extinguisher and not the one who runs into the fire screaming.

Do they come from a big family/are they a family person? Yeah she comes from a 6 sim household. So there’s always someone around. She adores her parents and her brother is her literal best friend. She gets on ok with her twin sisters but as the older sibling she’s naturally gonna be a little mean towards them. Whether she’d want a family of her own remains to be seen.

What animal represents them best? The animal equivalent of a busy body 😂

What is a smell that they dislike? The smell of meat. (I only say this bc when autonomously making food she almost always makes a meat free dish-she doesn’t have the vegetarian trait)

Have they broken any bones? No but she did hurt her back one time attempting a new yoga move.

How would a stranger likely describe them? Self assured.

Are they a night owl or a morning bird? Morning bird. For her its the quietest time in the house and that makes it ideal for meditation.

What is a flavor they hate and a flavor they love? She absolutely loves the flavor of earl gray tea but hates the taste of beets, they taste like dirt to her.

Do they have any hobbies? Yoga, Dancing and Gossip are her big three’s

Boom, surprise birthday party! How do they react to surprises? If you can even surprise Stevie, since she makes her business to be in the 'know'. Even if she figures it out she's not gonna let you know she knew. She's gonna act her little butt off to spare your feelings.

Do they like to wear jewelry? She does but the minimal kind. She wears a star necklace with matching earrings gifted to her by her late grandma.

Do they have neat or messy handwriting? Neat. Unless she trying to capture a moment down in her journal - then it becomes somewhat messy.

What are two emotions they feel the most? Ngl she’s a bit all over the place but the two she finds herself most in are confidence and anger (she's working on that last one-well trying)

Do they have a favorite fabric? Not really as long as it comfy & cute.

What kind of accent do they have? American, from the east coast, specifically the tri-state area (even though they live in San Sequoia, which represents a west coast town, the family is originally from the east coast)

"Why are you doing art for free?"

While I would normally recommend artists not work for free, I personally want to in this instance for the following reasons:

1) I am doing everything I can to make art fun for me again and this seems like fun to me!

When you do design as your day job, you can start to lose yourself a bit as an artist and you start to forget what it's like to create your own ideas rather than creating something someone else specifically wanted. This is a way for me to create pieces I enjoy again

2) I love music. Music motivates me when nothing else can.

According to my Spotify wrapped, I listened to 94 different genres, 106,855 minutes, 9,241 songs, and 4,016 different artists. Now that's just spotify. We're not even counting Youtube, physical records, radio, things I downloaded from artist io or other sources, etc... point is, I spend most of my waking hours powered by music

3) I want to diversify my design portfolio.

When you're a working artist, work breeds more work, however people have a hard time envisioning what they haven't already seen you do, so when people see the logos, packaging design, and other graphics I made they think those pieces are all I do. I want to show the world what else I'm capable of. This month will be album art but who knows what I'll do next. Maybe book covers, clothing, illustration who knows!

So, please, send me albums you'd like me to make art for, even if it already has album art made, let me just make something for you!

Again, I only ask that in return, you credit me for the work, send me copies if you make physical versions, and if you feel so inclined as to send me a tip or a share of peofits later, just let me know and I'll get you a way to send that securely later.

Chapter 10: The Pastries (1,225 words)

  I ended up moving in with my grandma after everything until I graduated. She was the only one who was there for me whenever I needed her the most, but she never knew about the abuse and everything that happened until after their deaths. It was nice but I still needed to get out of this town for a while.

Present Time

  I wake up screaming as I dream about that day. My heart is pounding outside my chest as I sit up on the couch trying to catch my breath, the movie is long over as I look at the clock seeing it read 3 am.

Why tonight? It was going so well and now this

I think to myself as I get up making my way to my bedroom, not wanting to spend the night anymore on the couch.

  Laying in bed I collect my thoughts as my breathing has now gone steady, my hands over my face rubbing the tiredness away. I need to sleep, I need to get the rest, I only have 3 hours left, but the dream fills my mind, playing over and over again.

Cobble makes his way back into my mind

giving me a little bit of relief.

  His smile, the way he giggles as he talks, how happy he gets when we see each other. Maybe he does like me.. no he's just being neighborly, the new girl in town. I'm so much younger than him anyways, he wouldn't wanna be with someone my age. He probably would think it's weird if he could see how I felt about him.

Soon with him in my mind

I'm able to fall asleep easy.

Longlegs POV:

  I can't sleep, she's all I'm thinking about. It was so nice being with her, I'm getting closer and closer to her and she will be mine, sooner or later... preferably sooner though. I work on the doll knowing I need to get it done for the girls birthday in time. All I can think about though is y/n.

  When I heard that she was the one who bought the house I was more than ecstatic, ready to see how much my girl has grown. Now I was getting her right where I wanted her, in my arms, going out, it'll be official I can just tell.

Y/n POV:

  My alarm starts blaring at me, making me groan before shutting it off. I couldn't open my eyes, I didn't want too, but I had to get to work. I make my way out of bed, going through the closet as I finally had put my clothes away, I grab professional but comforting clothes.

  Last night made me feel better, but now I had to be professional with all of this. I hear a knock at the door as I make my way downstair, moving to look through the peephole. I see Dale standing outside with a tray of some kind, making my heart grow fond. Opening the door I smile at him, "Dale!" I say softly.

"what are you doing here it's 6:30?"

  He smiles as I let him inside, following him into the kitchen as he sets it down and takes the aluminum foil off it. "Well after you told me you didn't eat yesterday, I thought you would maybe like these for breakfast." I look at the tray seeing small pastries it looks like he had made for me

"I made them with some of the fruits we got at

the market the other day."

  I stare at them before moving my eyes back to him, not believing he would do something like this. My favorite pastries too

how did he know this?

  I push that though aside, making my way over to him and hugging him tightly, standing on my toes to wrap my arms around his shoulder. His arms go around my waist before he lifts me up onto the counter, hiding his face in my neck as we hug tighter. He was way taller than me and he knew it, making me as comfortable as possible in the hug.

       This wasn't neighborly, he wanted more

and I needed more.

  We pull away and he pushes some hair out of my face as I look into his eyes, I can tell he cares a lot. "You didn't sleep well," he says, grabbing a strawberry one as he hands it to me, seeing the eyebags that rested under my eyes.

I grab it from him taking a small bite, "I just had a nightmare, something from my past it's no big deal," I refuse to look at him, still taking bites.

  He doesn't look away, I can feel his eyes on me making me smirk, "didn't your mommy ever tell you staring is rude?" I giggle making him look away and laugh a bit, "how can I look away when such a pretty girl is right in front of me.

  My face turns red as I look up at him, not saying anything back. He smiles getting closer to me again before my phone starts going off on the counter. Picking it up I bring it to my ear

  "Hello, this is y/n." I hear Agent Carters voice over the phone, giving me an address to meet him and Agent Harker at. I put the phone and pastry down, jumping off the counter as I go to grab my FBI jacket and shoes.

  "I'm really sorry, I have to go somewhere.. just my job." I sigh putting on my shoes as he meets me over by the door. "Oh it's none of your fault! it's the life you signed up for, not expecting a case just getting here didn't you."

I laugh softly shaking my head, "no I wasn't expecting a case like this early on."

  I open the door as he walks me to my car, opening the door for me as I make sure I have everything. "Thank you for the breakfast treats again, I really appreciate it." I lean up holding his cheek with one hand, my lips kissing the other cheek. Red corrupts over his pale skin making me giggle softly.

Pulling away I get in the car, driving off once he's stepped back and waving goodbye before he makes his way back home."

   He's the one thing I need to fill my empty space.

  Pulling up to the address Carter said to me, I see only his car followed with him and Agent Harker. It was the Camera families home, one that we thought was cleared through already. Harker proved otherwise as she was able to decipher the letters she had with her, x marks the spot.

Making our way inside the barn after finding the X's along the door, we pull our flashlights out before we break apart. Soon walking into the room, I find a trail of more leading up the stairs. A crucifix dead center of the floor board, leaving the three of us confused.

Stepping back, Carter moves the leaves and hay that rest a top of it before pulling it up making the floor board lift up with it.

I lost weight for so long, I’m 5’3 / 5’4, and at first I was 111lbs, then I went down to 106lbs within like 3 weeks. But I flared up, couldn’t walk for more than 10 steps without collapsing, couldn’t workout or skate, chronic illness fucking hurts. And I gained. I gained so fucking much so, so fast. The medication I was on slowed my metabolism to shit and I’m 112lbs now. I know that weight fluctuations are normal at my age, but FUCK why????? Shit it hurts. Then, I lost a couple more pounds a couple days back, went down to 108 and it flucated io again to 110. My birthday was today and last night was my party the night before and my friend wanted to make a candy salad so I said yes. Of course I said yes. They’re my best friend. But I ate so much. And I weighed myself in the morning. 112. How the actual fuck did I gain that much?

I had to punish myself somehow, but my dad, my god awful dad who’s only nice to me approximately 2 days a year (my birthday and Christmas) decided to take me to lunch at a buffet. I ate so damn much. Noodles and soup and shit. I tried to eat low cal but once again my fucking dumb ass actually did something right for once after having a lunch and breakfast taht put me in the 500’s ended up having a salad for dinner. But my big brother and his fantastic girlfriend (love them both SOSOSO much) did baking, they always do baking, and I always feel guilty and it always makes me binge. Today they made cinnamon rolls as a “happy birthday Adam!” Surprise, I got the smallest one (probably like 180 cal, give or take) and by then I had already fucked uo and got my calories to a 1,180. I only worked out for 25 minutes today, and I’m still at 110.5lbs and I feel just so so disgusting. My neck feels fat. When I don’t press my tongue there isn’t even a little crook (I always slide my finger into that crook before I eat, I’m trying to stop in recovery but it’s so hard to break. I used to use it as a determiner if I could eat, period. But now I’m slipping back into the habit, maybe I’ll stop when I’m thin again. I know it’s not healthy. I don’t know what to do to stop. I’ll talk to a therapist when I get the chance. I think my parents are starting to notice.)

0:29: Pirla! // Pirla! (It's a typical Milanese insult, and it roughly means "stupid". Plural or singular, it is always "pirla").

ALRIGHT HERE I GO >:-) putting this under a readmore bc it kinda ended up being an abridged version of the history of the red dwarf universe as well as lister and rimmer lol so it's long as fuck <3 . this is mostly gonna be based on the tv series, not the books, but i am gonna use some details from the books to fill in some gaps

OK SO. the red dwarf timeline begins in the 23rd century. in this version of the future, humanity has colonised the entire solar system and beyond, and there are colonies of humans living on most planets and moons in the solar system with solid surfaces. earth still has a human population, but ecologically/geologically/etc it's been reduced to a wasteland, so humans have to look elsewhere for resources. in the 23rd century, the "space corps" is a huge mega-corporation/quasi-military force that runs most of the spaceships traveling between planets. the space corps also makes most of its money from mining minerals etc from planetary bodies in/around the solar system. the "red dwarf" is a huge mining ship owned by a subset of the space corps called the "jupiter mining corporation" or JMC, and is designed to house hundreds of crew, and is miles long. most of the series takes place on the red dwarf itself which is why this is relevant lol

lister (full name dave lister) grows up back on earth, which he loves, despite it being a wasteland. he never knows his real parents; he's abandoned underneath a pool table in a pub as a baby, and gets raised by the young couple who find him there. they live in poverty and lister's adopted dad dies when lister is 6 years old, and lister gets into shoplifting and stealing in general when he's a young kid. but his family is still pretty loving and lister grows out of the stealing and ends up taking on odd jobs here and there, and he's pretty happy despite everything.

on lister's 25th birthday, he gets plastered as fuck with a group of his friends and somehow ends up on a spaceship which drops him off at a colony on mimas, one of saturn's moons. lister wakes up there with no money and no way of getting home. eventually he runs into a space corps recruiter, who mentions that the mining ship "red dwarf" is making a trip around the solar system and will eventually return to earth. lister signs up to the space corps under the impression that the ship will be returning to earth immediately, but once he's on board he finds out that the trip is gonna take at least 5 years, and now he's stuck working as a technician on the ship for the entire time. that's how lister ends up on the red dwarf.

rimmer (full name arnold judas rimmer), on the other hand, is born and grows up in a colony on io (one of jupiter's moons), in an upper class family. rimmer's father is obsessed with rimmer and his three brothers becoming officers in the space corps, and they're all subjected to very high standards from an early age. rimmer is the youngest, and is pretty brutally bullied by his big brothers. he's also not particularly academically or physically talented compared to them, he does enjoy cartography and art, but his parents are pretty deeply disappointed in him for not living up to his brothers and they're very cold and frankly abusive towards him.

rimmer is desperate to please them, so although he isn't skilled enough to join the space corps as an officer/pilot like his brothers, he decides to join at the technician level (the lowest possible rank) and work his way up by passing his astronavigation exams to become an officer. however he ends up failing every single exam he takes, and ends up spending years on the red dwarf as a shift manager in charge of the guys who maintain the ship's vending machines lol.

rimmer and lister first meet when lister is assigned to be rimmer's roommate on the ship. they DO NOT get along. all lister wants to do is fuck around and get drunk and have fun, and he's pretty grubby and kinda lazy (actually he's just depressed basically lol but yknow). rimmer is career-driven, up-tight, and generally an obnoxious asshole with no friends who insists on being pedantic about EVERYTHING. they spend most of their time bickering. it's made worse by the fact that rimmer is technically one rank higher than lister and is his shift manager and uses this as an excuse to try and boss him around constantly despite lister barely giving a fuck lmao. they have to work together most of the time bc they're coworkers and there is a little hint of friendship there but it's. pretty small.

things continue like this for a while. however, it all changes when lister, while on planet leave on miranda (one of uranus's moons) ends up finding a little pregnant stray cat who he calls "frankenstein". he smuggles her back onto the ship with him, despite it being illegal to take unquarantined animals onto the ship. for a while he keeps her a secret, but eventually the captain finds out about her and calls lister to his office. he tells lister to give up the location of the cat so she can be euthanised, but lister refuses. as punishment for refusing to give up the cat, the captain sentences lister to be imprisoned in stasis (a kind of suspended animation) for the rest of the trip back to earth.

after lister is put in stasis, rimmer is given the assignment to repair one of the ship's drive plates by himself. this is far outside of his area of expertise, and not something he can do by himself, so he really should have delegated the task to someone else. but instead, because he's so desperate to be perfect and impress his superiors, he tries to complete the repair by himself.

this goes horribly wrong. the incorrectly repaired drive plate ends up leading to a radiation leak from the reactors powering the ship, which immediately spreads throughout the ship and kills everyone, including rimmer himself. lister, however, survives, because he's in stasis so the radiation doesn't reach him. his cat also survives, as she went down into the ship's hold to give birth to her kittens, and the hold was sealed by the ship's computer before the radiation could reach it.

the jupiter mining corporation, believing the entire crew to be dead, leaves the red dwarf to drift off into space as retrieving it would be more trouble than it's worth to them. and so, the ship drifts aimlessly, through the solar system and into deep space.

3 million years later, the radiation on the ship has returned to a safe level. the ship's computer "holly" (who has gone mildly insane after spending 3 million years alone) revives lister from stasis.

they also bring back rimmer as a hologram. holograms are popular in the 23rd century, and are like perfect digital copies of a dead person and their personality. holly could have brought back any of the red dwarf crew members as company for lister, but she decides to bring back rimmer because lister has the most shared conversations with him out of anyone else on the ship (despite them supposedly hating each other).

as well as lister and rimmer, there's also the cat (a humanoid creature that evolved from the descendants of lister's pet cat frankenstein over the past 3 million years), and kryten (a service android they salvage from the wreck of another ship), but im gonna focus on rimmer and lister here for now lol.

at first, after rimmer is brought back as a hologram, things between him and lister are probably even more tense and aggressive than they were when he was alive. after all, rimmer has all of the same neuroses and Issues as he did as a human, but now he's fucking Dead and a digital ghost of himself and the entire human race has gone extinct in the 3 million years since he died. and he copes with this by being Even More Obnoxious.

however as time passes, they get to know each other more and eventually come to be best friends and care abt each other deeply despite also somehow still hating each other lol. lister is pretty smart and very brave and kind despite his tendency to be lazy. and rimmer, underneath all the bitchy rude asshole behaviour, is really just a clingy sad little guy who wants to be loved. as the series goes on they do form a kind of mutual respect for each other. and they care abt each other.

the series spans like 30 years (both in irl time and time in the series), so you get to see the characters go from being dudes in their 20s to dudes in their 50s. they both mature and grow up somewhat, especially lister. and they're still roommates after all this time, and rimmer lets lister sleep in his bunk when he's too drunk to climb up to his top one lol.

the Gay Tension with these two is really. something else man. rimmer (as well as being heavily autistic coded imo) is commonly read by the fandom as a Deeply Confused and self hating gay man. as a younger man/hologram he's pretty defensive of his masculinity and makes a big show out of being a Heterosexual Man despite it clearly being an act he puts on. as he gets older he seems to make peace with it more though and is content with doing more "feminine" things and no longer rlly performs attraction to women.

lister is like the Ultimate Bisexual Transman Guy to me without either of those things being actually canon lol. there's a lot of unintentional transmasc coding with him. he's also shown to be pretty affectionate with his male friends when they're still alive (telling one of them he loves him and kissing him on the lips at one point lol). and with rimmer he's like. blatantly attracted to and flirting with an alternative universe version of rimmer they meet at one point. he puts his hand on rimmer's upper thigh not once but TWICE to comfort him. when rimmer leaves the red dwarf crew for a while he misses him desperately and literally has a dream about telling rimmer he loves him and making out with him. i could go on.

the latest red dwarf episode/movie thing has a really sweet scene where rimmer is considering turning himself off for good bc he feels worthless and is doubting his personhood due to being a hologram, and lister gives him this whole sappy adorable romantic speech abt how he's like the sun and rimmer is like the moon and basically implying that they need each other to exist and they complete each other and it's enough to snap rimmer out of it. they're also so sweet with each other in general in that episode and lister is So Proud of rimmer at different points for being himself and being brave. it's so sweet it makes me melt just thinking abt it AUGH.

in general they're basically canonically soulmates. that one meme that's like "they would find each other in every universe" but for rimmer and lister it's not even ironic they're literally a pair in every single alternative universe we've seen in the show so far. and at this point they've known each other for so long and lived together for so long that the old married couple energy is Very Very Real. idk i could keep typing this post forever bc there really is So Much there to talk abt. but ik this is already way too much information and you're probably not even gonna read it lol so i will stop myself here.

the tldr is that red dwarf is one of those series that's technically a comedy but underneath the humour it's deeply sad and tragic and kinda depressing. but rimmer and lister and their love for each other and their friends are what holds it all together. the universe is cold and uncaring but they Love each other. throws up. ok im done

What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? Got me out here checking my fics and trying to remember what's what - I think I tend to avoid angst because I have to fight myself on the daily to get out of that mindset, and mentally I'm not quite separated enough from it to be able to look at it objectively without it absolutely ruining my mood. Apparently my angstiest fic in AO3 in general is Accepting Defeat, and on the grand scheme of things it's actually quite mild, so there you go. There's probably some borderline depressing things on my Fanfiction.net account, given I was a teenager with no emotional regulation back then, but I ain't digging for that.

What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? I love 'love'. I love hope. I love happy endings. Soooo this question is actually terribly difficult for me. Hang on, let me have a look at the old catalogue and see. I'll give you the gremlin is encumbered again, only because that made me laugh the most and I really liked exploring that minor camp dynamic in BG3 for the ending.

Do you get hate on fics? Thankfully, no - I usually write for smaller fandoms so normally people are just stoked to see content.

Do you write smut? If so, what kind? I've only recently started, so I'm still working on it. I have a few on the pipeline but my first one is my currently only contribution to the Resident Evil: Village fandom, and it's for the Heisenhoes. I like to provide.

Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written? I don't have any crossovers published anywhere but I'm sure I've written them when I was younger, in some notebook somewhere, but nothing comes to mind. It was definitely, most likely, an anime x anime crossover.

I don't write multi-chapter things because I am useless, but I did have this Egoshipping fanfic I wrote that I have published in Fanfiction.net (I really ought to move it to AO3 - maybe I'll rewrite it). It's called Being Second (warning, that's a fanfiction.net link), and it was pretty angsty but the last update for it was nearly 10 years ago now.

What are your writing strengths? I'd like to think I do humour pretty well.

What are your writing weaknesses? Oh, boy, where do we start? I can't finish anything multi-chapter for the life of me because I lose interest so quick, and the weight of expectation gets to me. I can't be consistent with anything, and I've only started writing out plot instead of just pantsing it with no general idea of what I'm doing. I tend to get lost in characterisation because I'm too self-indulgent. I have a lot.

Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic? Here's the cringe bit, because I was young when I started writing - I used to type out Japanese phrases in romaji in my Detective Conan fanfics. It definitely would take me out of the experience now if I were reading it, so it might be a bit jarring if not done right.

First fandom you wrote for? I'm checking fanfiction.net for this one, because that's where your girl's roots are. Apparently, Twilight! 2009.

Favourite fic you've written? Please don't make me choose between my children. I'm proud of everything that I put out, because it is a battle to even muster up the courage to put myself out there in that way. BUT if I had to, I would pick Pecking Order, not because it's the one with the most Kudos but because I genuinely blow my own mind when I read it, thinking 'I wrote this?'
