Hi, if anyone knows how to fix a key falling off WITH it's scissor switch please let me know?

Do I need to buy a new switch? Could the hooks be damaged? Is this smth that can be fixed by ordering new parts and replacing them myself or do I need a professional to handle it? What kinda repair technician should I be seeking help from?

The E key pops off if I press the top half even lightly. The A key feels a little loose but hasn't come off.

This year was kind of a struggle art-wise (read: burnout) but I'm glad I stuck it out because I got to spend a solid 8 months drawing all the fanart I didn't have time for last year :D

so the data science company that previously accidentally considered me for a software engineering role sent me a new challenge to complete for the data science role...

except the challenge they sent me last time also involved data science work

...and this one seems about a million times easier?

I am so nervous that I'm somehow doing it completely wrong because all I really did was fit a curve (quadratic) (simple regression) and then chucked the data in a graph and applied dijkstra. whereas last time I spent days looking at complicated statistical models?

I feel like this can't be right and yet. I can't see where I might be wrong. both my steps and my results make sense.

Newbie question; and I assume the answer is no.

Can you find Stellar Tera type pokemon in raid dens? Are Tera type pokemon randomly generated in the terrarium or are they fixed spawns?

How do you get more stellar Tera shards anyway? Do you get Tera shards from beating wild Tera pokemon as well as raid den mons?

I wasn’t ever really paying attention to drops from wild Tera Pokemon, so I genuinely don’t know.

How would you farm stellar Tera shards anyway?

Sorry for throwing so many questions in the pokemon tags btw~~~ did a cursory quick search and only got how the Tera type works. Could always be looking in the wrong spots tho~~~

What do you think of Nvidia's new DLSS Frame Generation technology that creates frames in between ones created by the GPU with AI to produce a smoother frame rate and also give you more FPS?

As a chronic screenshotist, I hate it. I can't find the post now, but I talked about how smeary recent games are thanks to upscaling. Games with dynamic resolutions and heavy upscaling always leave smudgy, smeary, ugly artifacts all over the screen, where the renderer is filling in missing information.

I see it in a lot of Unreal Engine games, but I'm pretty sure I saw it in the PS4 version of Street Fighter 6, too. It makes games look worse than they should.

I've also played Fortnite through things like GeForce Now, where you can (or used to be able to) crank the settings up to max, and even with everything on Epic Quality, surfaces can still be smeary, grainy, and covered in artifact trails.

So when you tell me that not only is the rendering engine going to be making a blurry mess out of my game because of resolution scaling, but it's also going to be motion smoothing whole entire new frames on top of that?

I feel like photo mode is a way to "solve" this, because photo mode deliberately takes you out of the action to render screenshots at much, much higher settings than you normally get during gameplay. But that creates a different problem in that's not how photography always works.

Photography is about taking 300 shots and only using the five best ones.

Photo mode suggests you are setting up for a specific screenshot on purpose when that's just not how it always goes.

If interframe generation makes this worse, or harder? I don't want it. I don't care what the benefits claim to be. We're in a constant war to tell our parents to turn motion smoothing off on new TVs, why would we want to bring that in to games?

ahh, i'm glad you asked! this reminded me of something!

so, usually (so, like, 90% of the time) ... not much. but! recently there's been more activity, if that's the right word.

such as:

the sudden disappearance of a window on the ground floor of the parking garage

frequent gunshots over the course of the last couple days

low-frequency "boom" from within the walls of the facility (more information on the hell portal in a previous post)

i wasn't even going to mention the first one for fear of concerning the public, but... i fear i must say something, or whatever the hell got out of there is going to keep running amuck with no one aware of it.

clearly, showfall has had a breach in containment.

now, don't be alarmed! this has been a thing i've been aware of for about a month and nothing bad has happened! aside from! the hell portal opening!

... on second thought maybe me saying i've been aware of it for a month is... not comforting. but no matter!

because whatever creature escaped the facility? i'm going to hunt it down.
