Hi all! I'm trying to be better about posting, so please accept a little look into the Fawnie archives, for a fic inspired by the wonderful @alannada. I once had plans to do more with this, and maybe someday I will, but I kind of like it as a standalone as is.

This is a little AU that I hope you enjoy! (Note: it's Gen, but Towa and Setsuna do make an appearance)

The main room of the spa is bright, crisp clear, and smells of linens and cotton—overpowering the chemicals smells that come from the products that are being used on the customers. Upon entering, one encounters a small man—an imp, if you will—sitting in the receptionist chair, settled on a stack of large books so that he can see over the counter.

When he sees that it’s you, he jumps out from behind the desk, and drops to his knees, his face pressing into the ground.

“My—my lord,” he babbles, and you roll your eyes at his antics. “We—we are—honored that you have graced us with your presence.”

“Do not be ridiculous, Jaken,” you tell him, your voice haughty and cruel, “you will scare the customers away.”

This imp—this Jaken—squeaks and nods, pressing his face even further into the ground.

You sigh. Once upon a time, Jaken was the best of the best for a vassal. But times have changed, and Jaken has not, and thus he is no longer an ideal vassal. 

Less-than-ideal vassals, though, also make excellent receptionists. 

The sound of a violin captures your attention, and you turn your ear to the left, where you see Setsuna, your daughter, playing, her bow dancing over the strings delicately. Her long dark hair is tied away from her face, although you can see streaks of red peeking through the dark brown locks. Her eyes are closed, but her eyelashes flutter across her cheeks, her eyes making tiny movements as she plays. She wears a stunning blue dress—made of jersey, you think?—and it flows effortlessly with her body as she plays. 

You know why she’s playing, so loudly, and in the middle of a spa, and you hear it:

The screams.

The awful, terrible screams.

You love hearing the screams.

The imp gets to his feet and waddles around the side of the desk. “Shall I show you to your office?” he croaks at you, and you nod, briefly, because you never show the imp your true feelings. Setsuna continues to play; you quickly realize that the screams are coming from one of the waxing rooms. As you follow the imp down the hall, you pass by the room; the door is open, and you see another young woman there; it’s Towa, your other daughter, and she is applying wax to the leg of a very hairy wolf demon, who hisses as the hot wax makes contact with his skin. Towa tucks her short silver hair behind her ear, and looks down apologetically at the man.

“I’m really sorry,” she says, holding the waxing strip firmly in her hand and pulling, slowly, nearly one hair follicle at a time, the wolf demon howling with every slow movement of her body.

“Towa,” you say, and the young woman looks up at you, her ruby red eyes blazing.

“What is it, Father?” she asks, and you can hear the impatience in her tone. “I’m busy.”

“Yes, so I see,” you comment. “Remember what I have told you: you must pull the strip slowly, so as to rip out each follicle, one at a time.”

The girl—Towa—actually growls at you, and in her haste, rips the strip off the wolf demon’s leg. He howls, even more loudly than before, and you resist the urge to chuckle—you will not chuckle.

But your eyebrow quirks.

“My lord,” Jaken says, waddling away, “your office awaits. My 4:00 is here.” The imp leaves you in front of a door that says “Office,” and you push the door open. 

The office is sparse, with only a metal desk and a black leather chair, but you like it that way. As you sink behind your desk, your ears begin to pick up the sounds from the spa outside:

Towa ripping the waxing strips from the wolf demon’s body.

Setsuna playing the violin.

Jaken griping at a customer as he files their nails.

The phone rings; it’s the front desk line, and even though you would normally never lower yourself to answer the main line, you cannot help but reach for the phone.

The screams, the shouts, the violin. 

Finally, finally, you allow yourself to smile.

You pick up the phone, press the call button, and lift the phone to your ear.

“Good afternoon,” you say, your voice sonorous and smooth. “Sesshōmaru’s Spa.

"The red one?" he asked, sitting up and reaching for it.

You went back into a few moments of silence, but he stood right behind you, his hands on your shoulders and his head on top of yours.

" 'kay. Just let me finish painting my nails, and I'll do you" he raised a teasing eyebrow at your sentence "Stop it, you know what I mean!" you said as you chuckled.

It took you a few more minutes to finish your nails, and then you finally stood up from your place.

"I'm going to change this water for some warmer one. Go sit in the chair, Tsuki," you told him with a smile, then proceeded to make your way into your bathroom.

♀ once Aliyah hits her teenage years he becomes her safe space. he always makes sure that she feels comfortable enough to talk to him about whatever. he never judges and and lets her know that there’s nothing she can say or do that would make him not love her.

♀ he believes in freedom of speech so if Aliyah starts swearing during her teen years, he wouldn’t care. his only rule would be that she only does it at home, and not at school in front of teachers or in front of other adults.

♀ he’s the parent that all the kids love. Aliyah’s friends love coming over to her house because Nick is such a fun and understanding dad.

♀once it’s time for Aliyah to start driving, he’s panicking. he lets you teach her because the whole process just stresses him out. the thought of his baby girl driving makes him sad but he’s also relieved that he doesn’t have to keep driving her around everywhere.

♀ when she’s out with friends, he’s got her on life 360 and he’s checking her location all the time.

“aliyah jade! go charge that phone right now, it’s on 18%!!”

He calms down after a while and just rambles about his "war" stories to you.

☕️ ~ Wallace won’t go out of his way to tickle someone nor does he get into ler moods I would say, but he does take the opportunity whenever it arrives because he finds it entertaining. Especially when it comes to Scott.

☕️ ~ Scott sleeps in quite a bit so Wallace resorts to tickling him out of bed a lot. He starts out gentle then gets annoyed if Scott still won’t get up. Then he tickles him until Scott is desperate to get out of bed begging to help cook breakfast.

Author's Note: I love the girls so much. I love how unique each one is and how they provide lovely support for the guys. (Bea's speech to Alex after the outing is really beautiful and one of my favorite moments from the book.) This is just a silly bit of fluff that turned into a wedding quartet! Enjoy!

"Why does it feel like this state is punishing its residents for living here?"

June snorted a laugh at the vaguely annoyed expression on Bea's face. It wasn't her first time in Texas and wouldn't be her last since Alex and Henry moved from New York. The big day was a week away, and the three women were "enjoying" a quiet moment at the Diaz lakehouse before everything descended into wedding madness.

"One of life's unanswerable questions," Nora mumbled, her head in June's lap. "Like who shot Kennedy or why some people like pineapple on pizza."

Bea then looked perplexed. "I thought that Oswald bloke shot him?"

Nora pushed her sunglasses onto her forehead. "That's what they want you to believe."

"Behave," June sighed, smacking Nora's forehead lightly. "Keep acting like that, and she is gonna convince H to pack it up and head back to England."

"I'd have better luck convincing Pip to wear a dress to the ceremony," Bea said. "Did you see Eloise's flower girl dress? Maz sent me a video of her practicing her petal scattering technique. The gardener at their residence is beside himself because she won't stop ripping petals off flowers."

June and Nora moved closer and cooed over the video of the tiny five-year-old in a dress with a white bodice and a tutu skirt, each layer of different shades of pink. She held a basket full of white rose petals and took patient steps down a path in the garden, pausing with each step to let a fistful of petals fall delicately to the ground.

"Stop, that's so adorable!" June squealed.

Nora snapped her fingers in approval. "Little Miss El said, 'Uncle Al and Uncle H may be the ones getting married, but this is my moment to shine!'"

Bea locked her phone with a smirk. "I've taught her well. Can we head inside? I may perish if I stay in this heat for a moment later."

June loved hanging out with Bea. After the dust settled, the three women enjoyed getting together for girls-only weekends without the boys for mani-pedis, spa days, and marathons of whatever reality show social media deemed the most unhinged. It was frivolous and fun. Growing up, June always wanted a little sister. That didn't mean she hated having Alex as a little brother, but sharing a bathroom with a boy was gross. Walking in and finding a sweaty jock strap hanging off the shower rod. Showering after him and having no hot water because he took forever to "get extra clean" like she didn't know about masturbation. Going off to college at UT was a bunch needed break from the testosterone tornado that was Alex Claremont-Diaz.

Inside the lakehouse, Bea opened a bottle of sparkling water and poured each a glass, saying, "If you're up for it, I bought some obscenely expensive face masks for us to try. The new season of Too Hot to Handle looks fully bizarre. I think if I auditioned for it, that might finally be the thing that takes my Gran out."

When the boys returned from Austin with dinner, they found them in pajamas, each with a mask on, trying not to laugh too much as a dentist hygienist Marcie made out with Maxx, a naked personal trainer, in a hot tub to make Jake, a bodybuilder, jealous.

"Why do you three always do this without us?" Alex whined as they headed to the kitchen.

"Girl time, little bit," June called out. "Now be a good feminist and bring us dinner! Jake is about to walk in on Marcie and Maxx, and I will not pause."

Alex started to argue, but Henry said, "Best not to argue, love. Everything will be all about us soon enough."

"Listen to your man, Alejandro!" Nora said. "If you're really nice, I'm sure your future sister-in-law will provide your very own face mask so you'll look extra pretty on your wedding day."

June glanced at Bea, who shrugged and said, "Maybe. But only if Alexander remembered the extra queso this time!"

gaz is soap but way less possessive. do whatever you want, he's your backbone. i personally think he aids in your thoughts of delusion and encourages things a little too much sometimes. he's the best friend a girl could ask for when it comes to drama and getting all dressed up. is never unenthused at the the things you like and if you think it's cute, of course it is, he's buying it regardless of what you want. i think gaz is the type of man to be like "i wanna spoil you, whatchu want." instead of grabbing random things. the only time he surprises you with random things is when your items need to be refilled and he knows exactly what it is that you need. sits in the salon, stares at you the whole time and makes the nail ladies blush.

Jason hears the first howl as he leaves the bathroom. He scowls, scrunching a towel over his curls.

Moonlight pours through his curtains; casting the parts of his den not lit by lamplight in deep blue shadow. The second full moon of autumn has come… and with it, mating season. Jason’s least favorite time of year.

All over Gotham, alphas, and betas, are beginning their hunts. They’ll track down whoever has caught their scent, and—should their prey be willing to run with them—hunt them until sunrise… or they catch them.

His glands ache. Scent pours off of him, so thick none of his usual tricks to suppress it help. The shower eased it a little, but it still burns his nose; acrid like smoke and too-sweet like rotting fruit. His senses are sharper, too. It’s not just his nose—it’s his ears, eyes, even his skin is more sensitive, making him twitchy.

Just about the only good thing about it is that Jason, and all other vigilantes, get the night off.

Jason digs through his drawers until he finds a pair of pants that don’t bother his skin. He doesn’t even bother digging for underwear. He knows from experience that nothing will feel right, and he’ll just end up yanking them off at some point. Tonight…

Tonight is about comfort.

It’s not usually.

Usually, this time of year, Jason holes himself up in his least favorite safehouse. Least favorite, because he always has to burn them after; his scent sunk in so thick even the best scrubbers are unable to get rid of it. He spends his time pouring over casework or doing equipment maintenance, misery pouring off of him in droves.

This year, Jason is trying something different.

Something gentler. Softer.

He’d begun the night with an epsom salt bath, scented with a little oil. Something light. Delicate. The kind of scent he wishes he had. He’d trimmed his nails, taken care of his cuticles… even taken the time to shape them before painting them. A full mani-pedi in his bathroom. Then he’d rubbed lotion into his scars, his calluses, until his skin was as close to baby-soft as he could get.

Now, he has a pair of headphones waiting by his nest, next to a stack of books and movies… and a box of stupidly expensive chocolates, just as an extra treat for himself.

Jason is determined to make this… if not a good night, at least a less miserable one.

After pulling his sweats and a very loose shirt on, he crawls into his nest. He had made it fresh that morning; the blankets, sheets, and pillowcases all freshly washed and soft. The whole thing smells light. Airy. Jason allows him a moment to simply breathe it in before he wraps himself up in blankets and pulls his laptop over.

A movie first, he thinks, running his finger over the stack. Something familiar. Comfortable. Pride and Prejudice first, then… the Princess Bride. Both guaranteed to sweep him away for a while. He puts the headphones on. Not noise-canceling. As nice as it would be to block the howls out completely… Jason’s hackles rise just thinking about cutting himself off from one of his senses.

By the time the movies are over, the howls should have died down.

Warm and comfortable, with chocolate blooming on his tongue, he could almost fall asleep. Almost. His instincts are too sharp, anticipating a hunt that will never come.

OVERALL: (General headcanons that apply to all the turtles) 

Due to the boys genetic engineering, they wouldn’t be susceptible to most human illnesses (if any at all.) So, you wouldn’t have to worry about quarantining away from your mutant boyfriend.

One of my personal favorite headcanons for the Bay Boys (thanks to @dontlookatmytmntcollection) is that they run hot. Their warmth would be comforting and somewhat medicinal (depending on the type of aliment you have.) 

Looots of face kisses. Even though they can’t contract your illness, it doesn’t mean they’re down to play tonsil hockey while snot’s dripping from your nose to lips and you’re trying to hack up your lungs every minute. So, you settle with kisses on your cheeks, forehead and ears.

“Babe, I can’t come down to the sewers, I’m sick.” “... Aight. I’m coming to you then.” NOTHING, would stop these boys from coming to your aid when you’re not feeling well. I mean, it is their responsibility to take care of the citizens of New York. They’re definitely not using your illness as an excuse to get out the lair and cuddle with you till sunrise. 

MICHELANGELO

Mikey doesn’t like being contained to one spot or activity for too long, so he wants you to recover quickly which means: staying hydrated!! He’ll make sure you’re sipping water every quarter hour, and you’ll have consumed at least three liters worth of fluid each day you’re sick.

However, you being sick does make for a great excuse to stay in bed and play video games. He’s definitely busting out the handhelds, or he’s bringing in a bigger console for you two to start an action-adventure story game together!

If he’s not with you, he’s blowing up your phone with jokes, memes, and funny videos to make up for his absence. After all, laughter is the best medicine, right?

Makes you ‘Get well soon’ cards, and leaves them strewn about your place for you to find when he’s away. If you don’t already have a vase for flowers, he’s bought you one and filled it with your favorite kind. (If it’s allergies that’s got you down, he’ll make sure to get fake flowers because you still deserve them! Just ones that won’t kill you! Lol!)   

RAPHAEL

Surprisingly, Raph is the only one out of his brothers who’d be fine with staying in bed with you all day. He hates it when you’re feeling bad, and just wants you to get well soon. So, if that means resting up and getting some good sleep then so be it. The man’s natural heat helps relieve sinus pressure and soothes you to sleep, so you’re grateful for his presence. (Even if he takes up most of the bed.)

The others don’t know this, but Raph is really good at mani-pedis. He’ll trim, file, and shape your nails, as well as pushing back and clipping your cuticles to remove any dead skin. Color is up to you, which he also does surprisingly well for how large his digits are.

Sews you a shawl every time you’re sick. Which hopefully, is not too often, but even so– Raph’s a pro at it, so it doesn’t take him long to whip something up. It’s unbelievably soft and retains heat like it’s him draping his arms over your shoulders instead of the cotton fabric.

He knows how important it is to maintain nutrients and keep your energy up when sick. To save you a mess of dishes and utensils, he puts together dump-n-go meals in a slow cooker! It ranges from soups, to stews, to pastas, and oatmeal. They’re all very tasty and there’s a good amount of leftovers for the next day!

LEONARDO

Remember how I mentioned that Leo would be good at massages? Well, you’d be getting a lot of facials when sick. He’s working on your sinuses to release pressure and unblock your nasal passages. He makes sure to do this before you lie down for bed, that way you’ll sleep easier. 

Cleans your whole damn room/house. A clean space makes for a clean mind; not to mention sanitization helps with a quicker recovery period. And since there’s not much else for the two of you to do when you’re down and out, he might as well tidy up. It’s nice to not have any cleaning to do once you’ve recovered.

Depending on the severity of your sickness, Leo will suggest a workout. Nothing too strenuous!! Just something light, like yoga or walking to get you active. You’ve most likely been stationary for most of your illness and your body could use stretching. (I personally should probably apply this practice to real life, hahaha…)

This may come as a surprise, but you watch a lot of trash TV together when you’re sick. Leo is one of those guys who thinks he has no interest and is above that kind of content, but snaps his head to attention when some drama goes down. And nothing makes you feel better than watching someone else’s crummy life play out on the big screen.  

DONATELLO

Has immediately placed a ‘clean bill of health’ order on a delivery app, and sent it to your residence. The order consists of: over the counter meds, neti pots, electrolyte-infused drinks, multiple humidifiers (if you don’t already have one), and a boat load of tissues. You think it’s too much tissue until you’ve gone through multiple boxes in just one day…

Like his orange-clad brother, he would propose playing some video games if you’re feeling up for it. Although, unlike Mikey, he’d suggest you play something competitive or involving horror. It’s to get your heart pumping and blood flowing. Of course, he’s creative in his remedies!

He draws up perfectly temperature baths for you with essential oils to ease your congestion and Epsom salt to relieve your muscle aches. He also throws in some bath bubbles cause it isn’t only about feeling better! He wants you to relax and have some fun too!

If you got homework that needs done, housework that requires fixing, or bills to be paid, Donnie’s got you covered. The last thing you need to do while recovering is stress over tasks that he can easily take care of while you’re sick. (Not to mention, he takes much pride in being your go-to man.)
