Not Quite his Twin

Danny Fenton is not Danyal al Ghul. They’d wanted him to be, but he wasn’t.

He still remembers when he first woke up, his whole body feeling raw and ill-fitted. Even his mind felt wrong, his memories not quite his own.

Which, he supposes, they weren’t.

Because Danyal is still dead. Executed on the orders of the Demon’s Head for failing to live up to his twin.

But the spurned heir would make a perfect figurehead to build legitimacy for a coup, so a splinter sect of the League stole away some of his remains before they could be disposed of. They may not have had permission to access the Lazarus Pits, but they could still turn to some more unorthodox methods of attempting resurrection. A combination of cloning, a few stolen and processed samples of Lazarus Water, and pieces of necromantic rituals.

And it almost worked.

Almost.

The body they constructed did indeed come to life, and clearly possessed at least some of Danyal’s memories, but it wasn’t him. The memories were locked behind a barrier, present in abstract but not felt. This thing they created could never pass for the deceased heir, and thus could never be the figurehead they wanted. So they decided to dispose of him.

But the clone’s memories had shown him this sort of betrayal before, and he did still have some of the original’s skills. He struck first, killing several of their agents and managing to escape the lab.

He had no idea what to do next, but at least he was free. Free to form his own life, to become someone unique rather than just not-quite-Danyal.

The Vampire, The Priest, The Scientist, and The Doctor

Note: In the last post, I went into a ramble of the idea of an alternative version for the boys. So here’s some additional ideas as well as the prompts; few of the ideas are inspired by other artists, so I did try to find out who the idea originally belonged to.. some I managed to track back some… I couldn’t pinterest and all.

Dick and Jason

[So Vampire Dick is canon in the vampire universe, but I saw a short comic of 12 yr old Grayson walking with 7 yr old human Jason in pinterest (I couldn’t track back to who the artists is) So maybe thats why the two are close?]

Dick was strolling over the Gotham’s street in mid daylight because of an argument with The Bat over something stupid but as they both were quite hard headed and didn’t want to admit either was wrong he did the next best thing, rebel against him by breaking the rule of never going out in daylight!

Mid stroll however, a figure caught Dick’s eyes. A small boy, obviously malnourished and run down, the kid himself looked like he was about to cry. Curious, Dick goes to the kid and decide to pester the poor soul. Long story short, Dick ended up semi adopting the kid, Jason and raise him as if his own.

But as the world was still weary of the Vampire clan, and The Bat himself didn’t know about Jason’s existence. Dick set up a small safe house that act as his second home where he can take care of the human kid he found. When Jason grew up, he joined the Vatican as a spy for Dick, something Dick was wholly against, but as karma decided to bit him, Jason rebelled and still join. Dick couldn’t do anything.

He slowly raised his rank and became a well known and loved cardinal of the area. He made an orphanage in which Jason stayed at most of the time when he was out of the nest.

Tim

[Tim is based on Carrion Au by Polarspaz. But here, he is more deranged and already snapped because of Kon’s death.]

Tim wasn’t taken in by the Bats here nor did he work with the Bat himself, but he did ran around the underground locations to quench his thirst over knowledge, and while he was in the midst of ransacking Cadmus because of his morbid fascination of human work he found a test tube containing a clone that seemed to be working.

He took the clone back and played around with it… he didn’t know when it happened but after he took the clone , he grow to understand human emotions more and things started to get better for him. Because he still had to bring the Clone <Which the word slowly changed Clone-> Clon —> Con —> Kon> outside, since the Con was made using Superman’s DNA and needed sunlight. As Kon learn how to be a person, Tim learns how to be Human.

But then something happened, there was a siege and nearly killed Tim because of a momentary carelessness ( he wasn't trained in combat as much since he was more focused in research) Kon, seeing the one person who showed him the world and what happiness is, discarded all thoughts and sacrificed himself in place of Tim.

“Im merely a clone, Tim… you are more important…”

From then on, Tim snapped and began to try to find ways to revive Kon, whether it was via magic, necromancy, cloning, or other unorthodox ways.

Damian

Damian was raised by Talia, who didn’t want to give Dami to Bruce because she knew Bruce was the Bat. So Talia raised her sweet baby in the league with the mindset of someone who can help all living creatures and care for them (LOA main goal is to cleanse the world of corruption and achieve perfect environment balance, so the goal is still the same I’m just changing the way they do it)

Ra’s also love Dami, but couldn’t be with his grandson too much because of the urgent business of handling the deals with different heads. But when he was available, he would coddle Dami with lots of hugs and teach him how to be kind but also have self preservation.

In the future, where Dami was ready and questioned Talia about his father, Talia reluctantly told Dami of the Bat and who his father was. Despite it all, Damian still decide to meet the man who was once his mother’s paramour.

The introduction was rough at best, but it happened.

Now Dami had seen how bad Gotham was and decide he wanted to help spread his Grandfather’s agenda there. The Bat allowed him, as their vision was aligned in the grand scheme of things of things. But because of of Talia’s paranoia, she had bought a mansion slightly bit away from the Wayne manor, in which where Damian could stay at, with an ample amount of servants and guards since Talia herself couldn’t stay for too long as she had other things to do.

In his quest to save lives, Damian met ‘The Drake’ someone who kept on kidnapping people and leaving them with nothing but their DNA splotches on the ground. So now he had to help and save as many lives as he could while having to deal with The Drake and other villains who tried to hurts the innocent.

It's been a few weeks, really, since the day he met his biological father.

The oversized hoodie drowned him, a perfect haven while he waits near the entrance to arkham asylum.

The whole week rushed by after the event. His mom, wonderful, black belt, kickass mom had fretted over him the whole time, messaging his therapist not long after and getting an appointment.

His dad had been clingy, giving him bear hugs left and right, it felt nice. Jazz hadn't let him out of her sight for one moment, always searching, always studying.

Man, he loved his family.

"Are you going to visit him?" The gruff voice of Batman asks, and danny shrieks, jumping away as he looks at the vigilante with wide eyes.

"Oh Ancients—! Don't scare me like that!" Danny scolds, hand over his chest and breathing hard.

He can feel the amusement wafting off of Batman. Or something.

Huffing, the child leans against the brickstone pillar holding the gate again.

"No," he ends up answering. "I'm not here to visit... him."

Batman listens quietly, simply standing next to him. He doesn't pressure nor demand anything. If danny thinks more of it, he might get a headache.

"My sister is an intern in Arkham, we're gonna have dinner with Harley and Ivy today." A shrug, and the wind lovingly pushes him.

"Good." The man states, he hesitates a moment before he stretches his arm out towards danny, opening his hand and showcasing the items.

First is a lollipop, famous for being handed over to children after being saved by the bat himself. Second is a pin, in the shape of Batman's signature bat, it had a red button on the other side however.

"It's an emergency alert, in case anything like this happens again." Is quickly explained and Danny takes them, if not a bit tense.

He is unused to the trust the man shows him despite how short their time was spent together. Danny wonders if the bat already snooped around.

"Thanks—"

"Danny!"

His head snaps to the gate opening, brightening up as Jazz runs through and hugs him.

"Jazz!" He eagerly hugs back, thank looks up at her.

"You gotta meet Bat—" He trails off when they turn to the empty spot next to the pair, wind rustling leaves just as he finished. "man..."

Damn batman.

Danny huffs and tugs at Jazz's jacket. "Nevermind then, c'mon let's get a nice present before we visit harley."

Simply bringing her up seems to have Jazz excited. "I still can't believe we're having dinner with THE Dr. Harleen Quinzel!!!"

"And her wife."

"aND THE Dr. Pamela Lillian Isley!!!"

Her enthusiasm is rubbing off on him, he grins, hooking up his arm around hers, and they're skipping towards town, laughing like maniacs.

Hi two questions on your au:

One: how did Timmy accumulate all the "positive" magic for this to have happened?

Two: how does Timmy and others (Crocker, Vicky, The council, etc) respond to this? I'm looking more for the immediate response as we know later the trio have decided to stick together.

I note positive magic as he is a fairy not an anti, pixie, genie, or other magical being and the affects it had on those around them.

Constant interaction with magic has consequences, especially if he had been doing it for 58 years, it was impossible for this magic not to adhere to the child.

Timmy is a pure source of magic, as is his now innate power, as well as his ability to believe in it, which is a constant feedback loop.; His ability to desire, to believe that he can achieve something, gives him the ability to overwrite reality to his will in an alarming way.

That's why the boy was too dangerous, and everyone tries to keep Timmy hidden, so that what happened with Poof doesn't happen again.
