❉ a night in the kingdom ❉

a/n: this is my first fic about “king’s choice” game. i started to play it a few days ago and i am totally obsessed with it and its characters so i wrote a fic about Lance, my favorite one. ^^ i don’t know if someone will read this or not but i wanted to write about this game and Lance. i will probably continue to write about this game but we will see...

It was a dark night in your kingdom. You were the only one that stayed in the garden of the castle. You sent everyone else to their home so that you would be able to feel a sense of relief. You just need to get a real rest before going after your enemies, Carey and his knights.

You let your knights to go wherever they want because you felt like that they need a rest as well. But there was one specific person who was not willing to let you alone in the darkness of the garden that you are in.

You were looking at the grey moon and beautiful flowers of your garden when you heard some heavy steps behind your bench. You smiled at that sound. Without looking at your back, you said, "I did not know that you are that loyal to me."

You could see the man's little smile from corner of your eyes. He sat down to your left. He put his hand together and crossed his legs. His elegant moves, his little smile on his face and his eyes with that special look made your heart's race increase. You wanted to be alone but now, you began to feel like you needed to have Lance by your side from night to day.

"The night is cold my lord. Do you want a coat or a hot coffee?" You just smiled at his question. He just came to garden, to you but the first thing that he said was about you and your comfort. You said, "No," and with a little brave feeling, you continued, "Your appearance made me warm."

You saw the glow in Lance's eyes. He was looking at you directly and intensely. Your body trembled with joy because of this intense look in his eyes. Your eyes met with his in the same way, same intense.

Lance put his one finger under your chin. Your heart race began to hit your chest rapidly. You were curious about his next step. You didn't know whether you were ready for the kiss or not.

He then pulled back his finger and you couldn't help but feel a disappointment for not being able to have a kiss with him. He seemed like feeling your disappointment. He looked at you then turned his head to the moon. "I want this." Lance said and you understood what he meant by 'this'. You wanted to say 'me too' willingly but you had to wait for his next words because you knew that there was a 'but'.

"But," and there was it. "We can not do this your highness. It is not appropriate to falling in love with your lord."

You suddenly stand up. This made Lance to look at you with curiosity. You stretched out your hand to him. He took your hand in his after a second of hesitation. With knowing that there was no one expect you two, you took him to your most favorite place in the garden. This place was a balcony and with this spot, you could see the whole city under your feet.

When you reached at your destination, you let go Lance's hand and leaned to the balcony rail. You looked at city, then Lance. He was looking at you. You smiled and showed city to him, "You see Lance, I have a city to look after. I have a lot of job to do. I have a lot of people by my side to help me with this situation." He shook his head. You continued while looking at him, "But sometimes I need to be alone, to be a ordinary human who has not this hard job. Like today." Lance felt a little guilty with your statement firstly. But when you stand right in front him, he felt a warm feeling and waited for you to continue, "This need had gone when you came to my side. When you came, I realized that I need to have you by my side for all of my time in this world." You took both of his hands in yours, "So do not say me that we should not be together, doing this. We should. Because both you and me feel the same thing; love."

Then without any hesitate you kissed him. Lance stood for a second before kissing you back in an intensive way. You smiled after the kiss. There was pink in his cheeks that made you laugh a little and your laugh made his cheeks turned pink more. He smiled back, "We feel the same thing my beloved lord; love. I will love you to my last breath."

i do unironically think the best artists of our generation are posting to get 20 notes and 3 reblogs btw. that fanfic with like 45 kudos is some of the best stuff ever written. those OCs you carry around have some of the richest backstories and worldbuilding someone has ever seen. please do not think that reaching only a few people when you post means your art isn't worth celebrating.

In spanish dub, Senshi says: "tocó mis senos de hombre", which means "he touched my man boobs" in Spanish. And I think that's the best dub line one so far.
