as the baby of the family, you get all of the malfoys’ overprotective behaviors

lucius is definitely overprotective, yes, but he’s always just sort of distant in nature, so it never comes off as oppressive as narcissa’s

but if you got your heart broken hoooo boy, the poor sap better start writing their last will and testament

(that is, assuming narcissa or your brother didn’t already get to them first 😬)

((although let’s be honest, you wouldn’t be allowed to pursue any romantic relationships. a partner might try to take narcissa’s darling away from her, and we can’t have that))

from the time you were born, you had always been narcissa’s darling

she wouldn’t let anyone else hold you, because what if her darling started liking lucius or auntie bella more than her? no no, we can’t have that

you two were practically attached at the hip. so much so, that she rarely even let you play with your brother

if you were hanging out with draco, then you weren’t hanging out with her, and that was An Issue™

up until you were maybe… five or so, your bed was in narcissa’s room

(which wasn’t a problem. look at that dysfunctional family and tell me lucius and narcissa don’t have a sleep-in-different-beds situation going on)

narcissa was having a tea party? you were in her lap or playing with your toys on the floor at her feet.

narcissa went shopping? no no, lucius. really, it isn’t a problem. y/n loves going shopping with me, isn’t that right dear?

narcissa was seeing draco off as he boarded the express for his first year? well, first he was going to have to hug his little sibling goodbye. but not for too long, narcissa hates when other people touch her darling.

narcissa saw her toddler darling wave to another wizard child across the street? she’ll buy you everything: candy, toys, books, whatever she perceives you as needing in order to stay by her side. just don’t expect to be allowed outdoors for a while.

some of narcissa’s friends come to visit? oh yes, this is y/n, say hi, dear. no, they’re very sick right now and must stay in their room, the poor thing.

she definitely dresses you up in outfits that are matching or complimentary to hers

you’re really just like a possession, in her mind. you’re a thing to be owned, something to sit still and look cute, rather than a living breathing human child

now, hogwarts. hogwarts is tough.

given you and your brother’s age difference, you should be entering your first year at about the same time as the dark lord returns.

this is great news for your mother

she now has a plausible excuse for homeschooling you. oh, no, my husband and i are just so worried, given the state of things.

(if anyone asks why they don’t homeschool both of their children, narcissa’s lips will thin into a straight line, and her top lip will curl back into a sneer. it’s so unsettling to see that people just drop the question.)

she has the house elves make you your favorites every day for meals, all while sighing about how the house elves at hogwarts won’t ever make you these, it’s such a shame.

as a prefect, he has his own private dorm room. he pulls a few heartstrings, really, professor mcgonagall, i’m just worried about my sibling leaving my sight, especially in these uncertain times, and convinces the staff to let you move in.

A/N: just watched the pilot last night and read the comic this morning, I'm ready 💪. I can tell these three are gonna be my new beloved found family. as far as I can tell, there isn't a whole lot of fan content of this on tumblr so I'm really scared this is gonna find its way to the normies 😢

- fights to WIN (and have fun with her friends)

- the roughest tickler of them all; squeezes, scribbles, and pokes anywhere and everywhere she can reach. she will the loudest laughter she can out of you

- skipp is her easiest lee; he'll start a chase and everything for the game of it, but he doesn't fight too hard once he gets caught

- stone, however, is the hardest lee, but we'll get to that later; despite how difficult he is to corner, she likes the challenge; besides, somebody's got to make sure that sad twig boi smiles

- can't and won't hold back his laughter

- by far the happiest to be a lee

- actively likes tickling and WILL admit it

- most ticklish spot is his sides

- he can tickle if he thinks one of his friends needs it but he mainly prefers to be the lee

- doesn't wiggle that much; all the energy that would go into squirming goes into giggling instead

- cups his pink cheeks and gives tiny feet kicks 🥰

- will squeal if you tickle his neck

- a lot of teases don't work on him because they rely on being embarrassed, and he's not embarrassed about tickling

- the teases that DO work are baby talk, since it adds to the silly feeling

- pokes tickle him the most

- his giggly laughter is laced with mangled outcries; "HEHEHEHE WAITHEHEHE STO- HEHE NOT THERE HEHEHE"

- if skipp gets in stone's personal space one too many times, stone'll wreck him (he knows skipp is doing it on purpose)

- isn't that invested with winning or losing a tickle fight; he's just happy to be there

- tries to get stone to loosen up about tickling (explanation later)

- gets ganged up on by the other two the most

- falls for those old tickle tricks, not because he wants to get tickled, but because he is just so obliviously trusting

- I'm gonna let yall know right now this ones going to be the longest (SUE ME OKAY?!)

- neutral lee-leaning switch

- will swear up and down on his life that he's not ticklish (it's a lie!) until the other two little gremlins finally decide to prove him wrong

- he's very embarrassed about being ticklish; skipp doesn't understand why and tries to get him more comfortable with it, which causes stone to turtle-up and shut down the conversation; vinnie takes a less gentle approach and just tells him to "loosen up, dude!"; it seems like a childish thing to him, like something he should have grown out of

- despite how embarrassed he is about his weakness, he's not actually embarrassed about saying the word; he can say "tickle" all day long, he just can't admit he's ticklish

- he repeats the same three words everytime someone asks: "I'm not ticklish"

- if he thinks for even a second he's about to get tickled, he sprints like his life depends on it; this means the first ten times his friends have tried to tickle him, they failed, no matter how stealthy they were.

- finally, on try eleven, they managed to overtake him; he wouldn't laugh for the first two whole minutes; vinnie was straddling his waist while skipp kept him from kicking and bucking her off; eventually, he did crack; it only took a random squeeze at his death spot for him to slip up: his thighs; vinnie caught on right away and went to town, and then poor stone couldn't keep himself together; if he laughed any harder, he swore he'd crumble to pieces; his arms waved around, too jellied up to put any real force behind them; his eyes were still squeezed shut, but his smile was brighter than the motherfucking sun; it even put skipp's to shame; he looked uncharacteristically like a little baby, laughing and shrieking

- vinnie and skipp's eyes practically filled with stars; neither of them had ever seen this side of stone before; but that was about to change

- he can't claim he's not ticklish anymore, but he'll still go to any lengths to avoid talking about it

- stone didn't know he had a death spot until that moment, nothing ever came into contact with his thighs so he had no way to know

- his laugh is very high-pitched, differing from his usual deep rumble; pure belly laughter with a side of hiccups (no not hiccup laughs, ACTUAL hiccups. it's the cutest thing I swear)

- within thirty seconds of laughing, he's lost all ability to save face; cries out a lot of "please"s if vinnie goes hard enough

- the tops of his cheeks will go red while he's being tickled; not full tomato, but just enough to shatter his pride

- he's the most adorable lee 💓💓💓

- he is SO HARD TO CATCH THO

- he's got the reflexes of a cat

- doesn't like being teased, then he gets a little too embarrassed

- the only comments that ARE acceptable are ones of curiosity; like if skipp goes "hmmm I wonder if this spot is ticklish?" or vinnie says "dang bro I didn't know you could laugh that hard"

- if he's comfortable with anyone tickling him, it's skipp; he knows he can trust him to not laugh at him

- as much as he'll deny it, he doesn't hate tickling as much as he wishes; in fact, it might even be a little bit fun <3

- as a ler, he's pretty skilled

- where vinnie is a very rough and sloppy ler, stone is very careful and methodical

- starts with light traces to amp up the tension, then goes in for the kill

- tickles skipp the most, because there's a significantly smaller chance of skipp fighting back

- he tickles his friends in an older brother sort of way; mostly its when they're bugging him

- teases with "ya learnt your lesson yet?" "that doesn't sound like someone who wants me to stop tickling" "you were practically asking for it, being a pain in the arse and everything"

- specifically teases skipp because he knows he likes it; "having fun, down there? i can see that smile, mister, you ain't fooling me"

- most of the time though he'll just watch the other two tickle fight and watch boredly

So like. This is the We Love Girl Crimes website, the Sad Little Meow-Meow Defence Brigade website. Of course we love Cheth and Cheline, these two are laser targeted for an audience who loves morally grey badasses. Both are AMAZING, in terms of both design and characterization.

But I think I like Cheline more?

Which really wasn't the case until This Page. Firstly because, well, we've seen more of Cheth! He's our call to action, he got a KILLER mini comic about his state of mind, the author has shown us what's under his sharp and snarky exterior, and it's a very sad god who feels alone but still desperately loves his charges and wants to help, even if they hate him. Mwah, wonderful.

But Cheline FUCKING HATES humans. At first I thought it was a programming issue, for lack of a better word? Like, some kids just come out fucked up, yanno. Or maybe she really was The Devil. But like, fuck dude, I wouldn't want to be the caretaker of the things that killed my siblings either! Of course she fucking hates people! Of course she has utter contempt for the species that destroyed her family. It's a little weird that Cheth leaves it at fucking with the dead, frankly, he could be So Much Worse than just kinda... Being spooky to people on boats?

Because here's the thing. That kind of bone-deep (heh) hatred comes from a place of love. Cheline loved her siblings. Even Cheth, I think! Six dead, and Cheth was getting too friendly! In a twisted sort of way I can totally see how shattering him seemed like the better option at the time. He won't be around, they can never be as close as they were again, but he's not DEAD. And so what if she has to kill a few meat bags and tell some lies to keep it that way, her brother is orders of magnitude more important than the Odious Fucks she has to keep churning out. They'll make more. It's fine.

It's been heavily implied that Pavel has a spooky resemblance to one of the dead gods, right down to the name. And Cheline is looking for excuses not to hurt him, even though it's in her best interest to Get Rid of That Fucking Thing as soon as possible. She's bantering with his mom, showboating a little, having a smoke break while all of her plans may be falling apart at that very moment to spend time with a mortal she claims to hate. Until a couple of pages ago, she even seemed to be enjoying watching Vanna puzzle things out. Until the half-breed was mentioned.

And even though it WAS a reasonable guess to make, given the info Vanna had, Cheline just UNLOADS all of this fucking, ancient elder lore, things that have been forgotten for five thousand years, things we the audience and presumably the people of that world have no POSSIBLE way to know, because fuck THAT ONE in particular! Fuck her corpse and fuck her memory! And it's such a violent reaction- Cheline, I think, is even more emotional than Cheth, and in a way I think that kind of implies that when she loves, she loves with all she's got, to the point of destruction.

Anyway this has been a very long and rambling way to say that Cheline tickles the same part of my brain that Lucretia Taz did, and I cannot WAIT to find out of her expression in that last panel is "ah shit I may have gotten away from myself" or "that's right worm you fucked up!" Both are FUCKING AWESOME, I LOVE CHELINE SO MUCH

I'm cheating here by linking the entire series (which is 11 fics of various levels of interconnectedness) but it's so worth it. This series tore my heart out, stomped on it, stuck it back in and gave me a sweet little kiss at the end. Several times over!! I cried like 4 times in one night while binging it!! Also this series contains one of the few OC/Canon stories that I enjoy!!

I actually read Burning Mountain first and then everything else in order and proceeded to LOSE MY GODDAMN MIND reading the first and second fics because OH. That's why the end of BM was so... OHhhhHHhhhh.........

The current fics included in the series are all finished, but I'm not sure if the author intends to come back to it in the future.

In the meantime, their other fics A Little Bit(ty) of Trouble (F) and Cold Blood, Warm Heart (O/U) have also stolen my heart. Those ALSO deal with dark, complicated topics so tread carefully and enjoy!

I am once again thinking about One Piece Omegaverse with Omega Ace and his hilarious experiences with joining the Whitebeards

Heat and Rut week on the Moby are flawlessly executed and prepared for weeks in advance. Everybody's cycles have synced up and everybody is accounted for, they know who's spending all or part of their cycle with a mate partner, they have designated nesting rooms piled ceiling-high with scented offerings from all the various crew members, they have food and water and everything all set and ready and people who have specific needs have those needs provided for. Omegas spend their heat week all piled together, occasionally yowling for their beta or alpha pack-mates to bring them something or other, while Alphas in rut are given leeway to patrol and scent and herd their pack-mates into the nest room as often as their instincts demand it of them.

(It is Very Funny watching anybody try to herd Pops anywhere, and even funnier to watch them get broody over him, but the funniest part is how willing he is to just Let Them Get Away With It. You have not seen hilarity until you've seen Marco in a rut sitting on top of Whitebeard's head and glaring at the horizon like a hen gearing up to peck anybody to might come too close. He tries to blame his devil fruit but he's a liar his brooding instinct is just Off The Charts.)

I'm thinking about the first time Ace's cycle synced up with the rest of the pack Omegas and how happy he probably was prancing his little ass into the heat rooms. He's really part of the crew now!!

I also think he was just, so hilariously perplexed and caught off-guard the first time he got swept up in all the alpha scenting and herding and checking-up-on. He hadn't been part of the crew for very long by that point and assumed that nobody would really feel protective enough about him to want to keep track of him during their rut but hoooo boy was he Wrong. He comes out of the crawl space he'd been not-really-hiding-in and is immediately swarmed by Alphas all Furiously Sniffing Him like disgruntled dogs. Where Have You Been Young Man We Were Worried Sick.

Ace goes from having One (1) Alpha in his life, and that Alpha being Luffy, who like. Okay yeah he does get twitchy in his rut but as long as he can find Ace when he goes looking for him it's fine -- to suddenly having a whole crew's worth of these fucking knot-heads following him around for an entire week. Ace went to sea prepared to deal with obnoxious horny Alphas who would not take no for an answer. He did not go to sea prepared to deal with obnoxious protective Alphas, half of whom want to Literally Sit On Him.

The worst part is that he knows it's his own fault. If he hadn't given them all such a hard time about joining the crew, they might not be so anxious and paranoid about keeping an eye on Him, Specifically. They're all Up His Ass making sure he's safe and comfortable and staying with them and not going anywhere and he has nobody to blame but himself.

1) Hmmm for an art piece, my favourite I think would be my Shredder Risetober piece. I’m very proud of how my art style and colouring style changed during the whole Risetober event, and I’m quite satisfied on how I pose the turtles and April in this piece

For animations, it would have been my Just A Man Animatic. Spent a long while on that and I’m very proud it

Future Leo Animation - I animated that to try out Procreate Dreams. I would like to think that the mask tails and cape’s flutter is very satisfying

These wallpapers - Because I loved how I drew the tattoos. The flowers all have their own meanings and I included little details like lightning storm in Leos tattoos, machinery gears in Donnies, Dragon scales in Raphs and Crane wings in Mikeys

Your eyes were tired, yet you ignored the calls of sleep. Standing in the middle of the training ground as you practiced. Over and over again. Strike, dodge, defend. Strike, dodge, defend.

Every time your vision blurred, you saw that God awful curse than had taken Yukio from you. Your hands shook, teeth gritting as you inhaled deeply.

How long had you been doing this? The sun had yet to rise when you began, yet now it was close to setting. Little did you know, a pair of blue eyes had not left your form once since they had found you.

"Just go talk to her." Shoko frowned, nudging Gojo with her elbow, cigarette at her lips.

"You feel guilty. You feel like this wouldn't have happened if you had gotten there faster. Well, it happened. And now she's alone because you're too much of a coward to speak to her. Remember, your team is on a mission. She has no one but you." She sighed.

You had been pushing yourself for almost a week. Since the day Yukio died, you hadn't given yourself a break. Your weakness cost you everything, and you refused to let it happen again.

The fatigue was slowly catching up to you. You hadn't been eating nor sleeping, and the weakness in your bones held no remorse.

Tears blinded your vision when you finally fell to the ground, body shaking as you tried to force it to move.

'Move.' You said, staring at your shaky hands.

'Move.'

They didn't respond, taking you back to the day you lost due to the same problem.

'Move. Move. Move!'

You were crying now, choking on your tears as your body trembled.

"Come on, you're my body, you're so supposed to move- why- why won't you listen to me? Am I the problem, if it weren't me, would Yukio-"

You were interrupted by a pair of hands so large and strong that you felt as if they could hold your entire world. They pulled you into a familiar chest, a scent so comforting engulfing you as your tears seemed to never end.

"G- Gojo - Sensei, welcome back from your mission." You sobbed, knowing you couldn't hold it together.

"Yeah, it's nice to see you again." Gojo commented, looking at the sky. He still blamed himself. He was the strongest, yet he still couldn't protect those closest to him. He was pathetic. He was weak. How could he be the strongest when he couldn't even protect Yukio... protect you. He couldn't protect anyone. Not even his own best friend.

As much as he hated to admit it, this was the reality of this cursed world, and he knew it couldn't be changed. He wanted to change, more than anything. He swore he would, so why-

"You know, Gojo - Sensei- that- that day, even after everything, when I- when I felt like everything was over, like I had nothing- when I saw you, I felt like everything would be OK. I- I know it's weird and selfish, but ever since that first day, no matter what I faced, when I saw you at the end, I felt like I was safe, like I'd be OK. Like I could get through it. Even now, it's hard, so hard I- it hurt so much I couldn't breathe- but seeing you, I feel like everything'll be OK." You cried, words muffled and broken, but Gojo had never heard anything clearer.

From the beginning, Gojo Satoru had been your strong hold, your pillar, whether he knew it or not.

From the night you saw him, while covered in your parents' blood. A man so bright, so clean, so strong. Stainless hands, so large, so strong, scooping you up as if you were a child.

Gojo Satoru had become your safe haven.

Gojo's hands trembled as he held you, holding your head against his chest as his eyes glazed over.

"I'm sorry." He whispered against your hair in a voice so soft you thought you were imagining it.

Gojo was wrong. This entire time, he had been wrong. He thought you hated him for everything. For never being fast enough to save you from what happened to your legs, to your hands, to Yukio. Yet he was so wrong. It almost made him sick.

This entire time, he hadn't been a reminder of your damnation, but rather your salvation.

And the guilt he felt knowing he had been too selfish to understand that and had left you in hear of his own feelings had him on his knees.

You were a child, as he had been once, given too much responsibility, too much pain to handle, too much regret. As a teacher, he had failed you. He has failed to protect your innocence. The shreds of childhood you had left were slipping through your fingers, and he swore he was going to get them back.

You were a child, and he was an adult. If he couldn't protect, the least he could do was be there for you when you needed.

You were so fragile, so small in his arms, crying so hard he was afraid you'd break.

He couldn't change his actions in the past, but he could change now. Holding you in his arms, he made an oath. No matter what, even if it cost him his life, he would protect his students. He refused to lose anything he cared about ever again.

He wasn't the strongest for no reason, after all.

Gravity Falls Thoughts: Ford and Trauma™ Part 2 (Forced Insomnia)

Annnnnd here we are with Part 2 of Ford and Trauma™!

Last time, we tackled the likelihood of Ford living off of pills and coffee over the last 30 years. So, what’s the logical next part?

Perhaps one of the most popular Ford ships out there!

Ford x Sleeeeep!!!!

Or…his problems with it. Let’s go with that.

If Gravity Falls went a bit longer (like if it had 3 seasons), this could have been a running gag of sorts for Ford, his lack of sleep or at least the repercussions of said lack of sleep, such as him dozing off in weird places.

And you can blame a certain dream demon for that.

Not long after Ford learns of Bill’s true colors, Ford did anything he could to prevent Bill from having any control of the situation…that includes depriving himself of sleep due to his deal with Bill.

…Yeah…um…there is a glaring issue on that plan, I must say. And that is the fact that depriving yourself of sleep…will not be beneficial in the long run.

According to Healthline, there are 5 Sleep Deprivation Stages, each stage is determined by the many hours of no sleep.

Stage 01 is after 24 hours of no sleep. A personal fact here, y’all: I’ve done this before twice in my life, staying up for about 24 hours…it was not fun both times.

While not necessarily a cause for major problems, there will be some issues, such as decreased alertness, drowsiness, fatigue, increased risks of mistakes…

Stage 02, after 36 hours (A day and a half), and you’ll start experiencing severe cognitive impairment. Not to mention an overwhelming desire for sleep and the likelihood of having microsleeps (short bouts of sleep that lasts for about 30 secs) is possible.

Come Stage 03 (after 48 hours) and hoooo…boy, things aren’t lookin’ good at all! This is where hallucinations can start setting in. Which, in Ford’s paranoid case, is a definite cause for concern. And there’s depersonalization, anxiety, heightened stress levels, increased irritability, and extreme fatigue. Microsleeps becomes more of a guarantee. And you won't realize it.

At Stage 04 (after 72 hours), along with more frequent and longer microsleeps, the hallucinations could get more complex.

Then finally, at Stage 05 (after 96 hours and more), you’ll start to experience a little thing called sleep deprivation psychosis, when your perception of reality is severely distorted due to lack of sleep.

So…not much of a shock to see this…

And we don’t even know how long Ford had been trying to keep himself awake. Even Journal 3 (I have the regular edition) doesn’t provide the answer for this except for the mad scrawlings of CAN’T SLEEP and the hellish amount of coffee he drank.

This can also explain his insistence on preserving his journals instead of just destroying them. He’s not thinking clearly due to lack of sleep.

It is possible to recover from this, though, it will take a while.

It can take days or weeks to recover from a bout of sleep deprivation. Just 1 hour of sleep loss requires 4 days to recover. The longer you’ve been awake, the longer it will take to get back on track.

And considering that Ford got sucked into the Portal before he could have a moment for well deserved rest…kind of a similar situation to his crap diet while on the run, how often was Ford able to get a full night's rest? I mean...look how he sleeps now, in day wear with his coat, glasses, and boots on, like he has to be prepared to book it...

It’s honestly a wonder that Ford came back to our dimension without sporting some eyebags that would give Shouta Aizawa (or even Toshinori Yagi) a run for his money.

…Question: So, Bill had free reign of entering Ford’s mind when he sleeps, right? Did Bill still do that during Ford’s travels up until he got that plate installed?

...So, what should I talk about next? The bullying Ford had to endure? Father of the Year, Filbrick Pines? Possible complex PTSD? Major Guilt? Wounds and potential complications? Bill -fucking- Cipher and the abuse?

Zoomies

Seth has been annoyed all day, his wolf wanted to go and run around saying how he's been cooped up for too long. The need to stretch his legs and run wild in the woods for a bit was growing stronger as Seth tried to work all day. Doll could see it too, they know that Seth only gets snappy before a moon or he needs to let his wolf run wild for a bit.

So Doll decided to help Seth today, they saw it was going to be a full moon and invited Seth out in the woods by their house. He agreed because the nagging of his wold was annoying him so much, so here they are now in the entrance of the woods. Shifting was itching beneath his skin as he finally let the wolf take control.

With a howl the wolf ran straight into the woods, energy flowing through him as he did so. Doll giggled at the sight and decided that they should join him. Grabbing the basket they packed with all the food they put together before this and walked into a clearing into he woods.

"Ah Doll! There you are. Sorry really needed to stretch my legs out!" Panting the wolf slowed down a but and came next to them on the blanket they just laid down. Doll smiled and handed him a big sandwich the wolf's tail wagged seeing the tons of meat on it.

"Here you go big boy. Guessed you'd need it after running that energy away off of you." Noises of eating was their answer as the wolf ate his fill. Doll ate a bit oft he sandwiches before asking the big furry creature in front of them.

"What's it like running through the woods?" Couriosity filled the question as they got a wolfish grin.

"Wanna find out?" Licking his hands clean he then got on the and his feet. Doll had stars in their eyes as they hopped on his back, making sure their secured first he then explained ground rules.

"Hold on me tight, make sure you lock your legs on me and enjoy the ride!" Excitement filled his rules as he then took off in a sprint. Doll whooped as wolf jumped over and off of things, he laughed as he ran through the woods he has yet to chart out.

"THIS IS AMAZING!!" Screaming Doll looked to the side and was in awe as they saw everything shot past them. Then the wolf got slower as he went into a light jog, panting he lowered himself and Doll got off.

"hoooo was that a work out!" Shaking himself a bit he then laid down on the floor. Tounge lopped out trying to cool himself down, luckily they were next to a river and Doll helped him cool down.

"Do you remember where our thing are? Also how's Seth?" The wolf nodded at the first question and then stretched again before getting uo after cooling off successfully.

"The boys fine he's gonna be sore tomorrow but not my problem. And he's I know where your things are Doll face." Leaning down once more Doll got on, as they rode the Moonlight illuminated the path showing off all the pretty things that show up during the night. Doll smiled to themselves as they enjoyed the ride back to their basket.

When they finally got to their things they hurried to pack everything. After getting everything in the basket the sun started to come up slowly. As they reached the house Seth slowly transformed back to his human form.

"Thanks for that Doll. He was bugging me all day for soemthing like that." The greater said as he gave the a kiss. Doll rolled their eyes and gave him a big pair of pajama pants.

"Don't thank me. I'm always happy to help ya with your zoomies." A huff is what they got as Seth slipped he clothing on and looked at them.

"They are not zoomies. I'm not a dog." Doll just nodded and opened the front door.

"I know your not love. Now come in let's go sleep. I'm so glad we got this day off!" Rubbing their eyes they placed the basket om the counter and walked to their bedroom with Seth in tow. He yawned as well kissing their lips before cuddling into bet with them.

It has been a while, but I have returned with @gizamalblythe to talk Wing au. Tldr, Shanks is having a bad day and he lashed out with his haki against the boys, aka Pippin and Sebastian aka S-Hawk and S-Lion.

Shanks made a promise to never use his haki against his family, his flock. But now he broke it when he lashed out on accident. The guilt is crushing him and Pippin and Sebastian are now scared of Shanks which breaks his heart even more leading to the bad day getting worse than ever.

Hoooo boy, it has been a bit. look at me ignoring all the asks in my inbox lol. School is kicking my ass but it is what it is. (I’m totally not crying internally!)

It’s a lot for them, for everyone. Pipin and Sebastian are new to this, to them, to everything. They’re barely even people with wants, desires, thoughts outside of pleasing these new handlers in their eyes. They weren’t raised like the rest of the kids with how to deal with Shanks or when to avoid him. And Mihawk and Shanks are so busy and stressed and lulled into a place of security because they’ve had this conversation before with their kids; they know the routines and rules. Pipin and Sebastian don’t. And in all the chaos, they forgot to inform them.

That’s on Shanks and Mihawk they are the adults they should have been on top of it but it’s such a known and expected thing that sometimes information slips through the cracks and what’s common place for you might not be for someone knew.

Shanks doesn’t deal with the introduction of new fledglings without warning well. It’s a trigger, a bad one. It happened with Uta, happened with the rest of the kids. Once the episode passes and Hongo ups his doses till the sense of trauma and C-PTSD calms down a bit, things regulate out. Something about the hormones in his brain is all screwed up for fledglings, and especially fledglings deemed flock. And they got a bit of a warning with the new flock for them, so they put precautions into place. He built a nest or rebuilt his old one and pulled Mihawk into it for a day or two for some cuddles—maybe went and kidnapped one of their other kids for a bit, before everything seemed to blow over.

So they relaxed and everything seemed to be ok and Pippin and Seb were integrating into their new life and situation maybe not well but it would take time for all of them. Shanks is still being a bit obsessive but it not towards the kids or hurting himself or others and not escalating into a manic-delusion so progress. But then one of the boys hides. He steals food or clothes or something shiny and freaks the fuck out thinking he’ll be killed or punished and hides away for days.

Shanks is panicking, ok, ok, everything’s ok, but his fledgling is missing and no one can find him and he's actually going to start going crazy if he can’t find him and he’s dead and it’s all Shanks' fault, he’s dead and the other boy, let’s say Seb, refuses to say anything but he needs to, he needs to know! And Benn realizes what's happening too late. Shanks is pulling at his feathers in long strokes, biting his lips until bleeding- but he managing their all managing and he’ll ask Hongo to take Shanks aside later. It's been three days, still no sign, and Seb's clamped up like a vice. And maybe, maybe that wouldn’t have been enough to set him off, maybe except for the fact they are attacked by the WG.

And Shanks loses it. They get their hands on Pippin his babies are gone, where are his babies, and it hasn’t been this bad since Ace almost died. He kills all the marines, rips through the pacifistas sent to apprehend his son, wild and terrified. When he gets to him, Pippin is frozen with fear; he’s going to die. He thinks his handler is displeased with him; he wasn’t strong enough to resist capture but he was so worried about them finding him and hurting him and he’s going to die!

Shanks doesn’t say anything to the contrary, just picks him up under one wing, ignores his conqueror's Haki as it keeps on lashing, obviously scaring the shit out of Pippin, and goes back to his ship. Seb, fearing death but fearing the death of his brother more, told them we’re he had been hiding and watched as the captain lost his shit when it was empty aside from some feathers and blood. And once he feels the pressure in the air, the weight of a king staring daggers of pain, fear, bow, bow, obey, obey, kneel, kneel— he can’t help but start to cry. It’s all his fault and Pippin is going to die and there’s nothing he can do there’s nothing he can do!

Shanks doesn’t say a word, doesn’t stop his Haki, merely picks Seb up in as he thrashes and sobs and holds him to his chest. His baby, his fledgling, not safe, never safe. He’ll make them safe, he’ll make them safe, and then no more dead brothers and mothers and babies, and everyone will be okay.

Mihawk finds them like this a day later, alerted by Benn he needs to get back to the Red Force asap because Shanks has lost his cool and has dragged the kids in with him and no one can break him out of it. This is fucking distressing, not in the least because for the first time ever his kids have been dragged into one of Shanks's bad episodes. Ace got dragged in only once but he was an adult and able to break Shanks out of his spiral like twenty minutes in. But not the kids— never the kids.

It’s not pretty but it could be worse. Shanks has luckily holed up in his room and won’t let the kids leave and won’t let anyone else who goes in leave and almost took Lime-juice's face off when bringing them dinner yesterday full of sedatives. So you know, not fun. Mihawk enters like he always does and finds the kids curled into a ball of black feathers in the middle of their mattress, fast asleep, probably knocked out from all the conquerors Haki they’ve been dealing with. They don’t look physically hurt no blood or bruising a little over groomed but hale and healthy. Shanks leant over them, eyes wide, watching, barely blinking, barely noticing Mihawk enter aside from a shift in his only wing.

Mihawk sees the red in the white of his eyes, the dark bruises beginning to form in the skin under, and wonders if Shanks slept at all in the day and a half it took Mihawk to get here. Mihawk is deemed safe as he gets closer, cooing softly in the back of his throat, a hand gently coming around Shanks' head. He barely moves or even stirs as Mihawk's other hand slips the syringe into the muscle of his neck and presses the plunger down. It takes only a second for the sedative to take effect and for Shanks to collapse from dehydration and lack of sleep into Mihawk's arms.

He settles him carefully into his nest, wrapped around their fledglings, and takes a moment to make a mental note to have a talk with the kids about disappearing  without telling an adult. Mihawk’s sure Shanks, once he’s back to himself, will fall over himself in apology for using Conquerors on the kids, and most likely this will be a mess of epic misunderstandings. They’ll probably be back to square one with the fledglings, but what has happened happened, and there’s nothing they can do about it now except damage control and hope for the best.

The Importance of Authors Fulfilling Promises to their Readers

Seeing people defend Gege's writing of jjk these over these last few months is WILD. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and that includes me. So here's my 900th unhinged rant on this subject because hoooo boy there are THOUGHTS on this topic.

Before anyone comes for my throat, these are my opinions. You get yours and I get mine. And this is LONG lmao.

I've seen all the justifications for Gege's current writing saying that jjk is about being different from the standard shonen manga and being more realistic in its storytelling (i.e., killing the powerful characters) and whatever and YES. All of that is true. I don't have a problem with any of that. I would say all of that is why most of us fell in love with this story to begin with. Examples of this (done well) includes:

Nanami's death. Tragic. Broke my heart. But I think Gege was right to kill him. Nanami had served his purpose at that point, he died protecting the next generation, and despite how sad I was to see him go, I thought it was good writing. There was no need to keep him around at that point. Gojo gets put in the box. This made perfect sense to me from a narrative standpoint. Gojo Satoru is a NIGHTMARE for ANY author to write. His very existence is a problem because he can solve all of the problems of the universe and remove all conflict from the story. Sealing away the most powerful character was a perfect way to take him out of the narrative while still leaving his presence lingering over everyone. This also deviates strongly from traditional shonen because no character that powerful would have ever been sealed with ACTUAL ramifications in something more "standard" like Naruto! It broke the mold in the best way possible. I'd also say that the way Kenjaku went about sealing him was excellent. There really weren't any ass-pulls to get him in that box. Kenjaku takes Geto's body (a strategic decision), hides that body from everyone at the school, executes an insane plan that he knows will exhaust Gojo and mentally push him to his limits, and then SURPRISE! Here's your dead lover's best friend's body! Now get in the box(((: I thought it was good writing and completely necessary for the plot to progress. Megumi's possession. From the very beginning, Sukuna has been interested in Megumi. Seeing that pay off? Watching Sukuna do the worst thing we can imagine to Megumi? Amazing. Wonderful. Loved everything about it.

So, I don't have any problems with jjk's previous storytelling. I thought that it was well executed, broke the previous Shonen formula, and delivered good story telling.

You know what I do have a problem with? Writing like this:

Higuruma is suddenly as talented as Gojo. Bro what? I like Higuruma, but this dude has been a sorcerer for all of what? Two seconds? He's a suicidal lawyer who just got magic powers and only VERY RECENTLY started working with Yuji and company and he suddenly has as much talent as Gojo Satoru? The man with the Six Eyes? Be. For. Real. What is the point of this? If you needed an OP character, you already had Gojo. So again. What was the point?

Higuruma's possible death. We're only up to chapter 248 at the time of me posting this, so this may change. But as of right now, we've been told Higuruma is dead. He may come back, but we don't know. Either way, we're told dude is gone. What was the point of this death? We already saw Yuji lose a beloved male mentor figure (Nanami) and we already saw someone who had the potential to kill Sukuna fail (Gojo) soooooo... What was the point? We've seen this done before and it's boring to see it hashed out yet again but with new characters.

Kenjaku's motivations and death. I personally think that making Kenjaku a mad scientist for the sake of being a mad scientist is lazy. With all of his hair brained schemes (guys, he like straight up fucked Yuji's dad, come on), you would have thought he had some legitimate motivation. I can admit this is my own personal opinion and some might like this, but I think this is a weak explanation for all the nonsense he's done. And his death? Like... Okay?? Some rando newbie sorcerer is the one to kill Kenjaku? Kenjaku--one of the top two Big Baddies? All right?? I wouldn't say this is bad per se, but I would say it feels very unearned. (And before anyone freaks out, yes I know it's technically Yuta who delivers the killing blow, but it really was Takaba who put the work in and got Yuta to that point. Again, it feels unearned.)

And finally, the big one. The one that most people are upset about and the one that most people reference when they talk about the decline in writing and one that's about to get a(nother) long ass rant from me.

The lack of any meaning in Gojo Satoru's death.

I need to be perfectly clear that I do not have a problem with Gojo dying. Again, he's a nightmare character for an author to handle so I get it. I have a problem with HOW he was killed. Sukuna using Megumi's body was great. The whole battle of the domains was decent. But the end??? Gojo hits Sukuna point blank with a hollow purple (after Sukuna said he would die if he was hit with a point blank hollow purple) and then...? Sukuna pulls out some BS world cleaving slash that cuts Gojo in half (off screen mind you), heals himself, and then is perfectly--PERFECTLY--fucking fine after getting hit by an attack that he said would kill him???? And then he isn't weakened at all? Bro what??? How is that good writing? Even if you're all about subverting expectations and JJK breaking the shonen mold, how is that good writing? How is that satisfying???

Gojo's death meant nothing. He did nothing. He didn't even weaken Sukuna. He didn't give the students a leg up. It meant... Nothing. And I know that some people think that's the point, that jjk has realistic storytelling and that it's realistic to have a meaningless death but I would STRONGLY disagree. You want meaningless deaths in JJK for the sake of "realistic" meaningless deaths? You have Tsumiki and Yuki. Sure, Tsumiki's death pushes Megumi into the pits of despair because Shonen manga loves a good bit of *man pain* but what was her real influence on the story? Outside of the Megumi thing, she had zero impact on jjk. And Yuki?? Killed off-screen for some reason??? To buy Choso some time??? When she is arguably the more important one??? All right?? Christ, fucking Junpei's death meant more to the narrative and he was basically a fucking footnote in the grand scheme of things.

The problem with Gojo having a meaningless death is that Gege as the author broke his promise to his readers. Gege sets up a story that tells us how influential Gojo is and spends quite a bit of the narrative showing us once again how important he is. Whether he meant to or not, writing a setup like that means there will be expectations from your readers that no matter what happens to that character, it will mean something to the narrative. A good example of this done both well and poorly is Game of Thrones/ASOIAF, which is another story that breaks the mold of a genre like JJK.

Ned Stark is a POV character in the first book. He's important. He's the Lord of Winterfell and becomes the Hand. He's honorable. He's good in a world that favors the wicked and people know it. And then he gets killed and his death haunts the narrative and it means something. Robb starts a war. Sansa becomes a hostage to the Lannisters. Arya has to flee. Jon has to reaffirm that he's a man of the Night's Watch and can't go help his brother. The Red Wedding. Catelyn becomes Lady Stoneheart. The Boltons take Winterfell. The North Remembers (it's being set up better in the books I swear). And it goes on and on and ON. We're told from book 1 that Ned is important. George completely deviates from the fantasy genre by killing off one of the main POV characters in Book 1, but he still fulfills the promise that Ned's death will mean something and that Ned will be important even though he's dead. Ned's death then haunts the story from that point forward. An example of this done poorly? The show. We're told Jon Snow is important. We SEE that Jon Snow is important. Jon Snow is the rightful heir to the iron throne. And what happens? We get a season of "I dun want it!" and then he kills Dany and goes back to the Night's Watch to live out the rest of his days with his boys. He's not king. Killing Dany had no real repercussions. D&D tried to show us that it was Jon's identity that made Dany snap but it felt half-assed since she was already heading down that path before she found out. A promise was made that Jon Snow would ultimately mean something by the end of the story and guess what? Absolutely none of it mattered. He didn't even kill either of the Big Baddies. And he didn't do anything with knowledge of who his parents were. He wasn't Azor Ahai. He wasn't the prince that was promised. So it meant nothing. A promise was made to us by George (and the show runners ugh) that Jon was important and then it turned out that he wasn't. And the public outcry that GOT S8 received speaks for itself on how bad that writing was.

To me, Gojo's death is no different. The narrative sets up his importance. Gege makes a promise to the readers that this character will ultimately mean something and then... Nothing happens. That isn't "realistic writing" or "breaking the shonen formula" at all. That's just bad writing. You're not any less of a fan of jjk or any less of an analytical reader if you don't buy the whole "this is good writing because that's the point of JJK--to break the shonen mold!" There are ways to achieve that sentiment that are good. And I would even go so far as to say that the people like me who are irritated with this writing have no issues with Gojo dying. We have issues with how he was killed and how poorly it was all executed. And I'm not going to be told I "don't get the point" of JJK because of it.

And then there's the fact that Gege has set his story so far apart from other shonen manga (like Naruto or BNHA) that the readers will no longer tolerate any sort of "lemme pull this out of my ass" writing that they would have otherwise tolerated from Naruto or DBZ or Bleach or BNHA. (Note: I do love those stories btw! But they're guilty of this storytelling.) So when Gege shows us that Yuji suddenly has RCT (that's fine ig, he's been training) or tells us that Higuruma has as much talent as Gojo or does some bullshit that saves Sukuna from Higuruma's sentencing or has a random explanation that he pulled OUT OF HIS ASS for why Sukuna will inevitably get his shit rocked by the students, all of which are CHILDREN, when the strongest sorcerer of the modern era couldn't do shit to him, then YEAH. I'm going to think it's bad writing.

And yes, I am aware that JJK is Yuji's story, not Gojo's. I understand. I'm not saying I want Gojo to be the main character. I'm saying that this absurdly powerful character who influences everything was wasted in the hands of the author's current writing.

TLDR: It's not "good" writing or "realistic" writing for an author to write meaningless shit that ultimately does nothing for the story when that author has already made a promise to their readers to do the opposite. Criticizing this type of writing does not make you any less of a JJK fan and it does not mean that you "don't get it." You are allowed to be critical of a work you love.

betrayal, bound, and pain, also for oc of your choice!

Ahaaa thank you for asking!! These ones are all way too juicy for Ahuska to not answer for her, especially in the werewolf au!

Betrayal: Has your OC ever been betrayed by someone they thought they could trust? Has your OC ever betrayed someone who trusted them?

Hoooo boy, yes. First of all, there's all here early days as a werewolf, when she had no idea that she was a werewolf, and the simple blind trust she had for her kind supervisor at work when he was in actual fact her first handler, taking her out to murder on command every full moon. That was a tough one to stomach. Then there was her 'rescuer', ex-Intelligence agent Nines, who managed to whisk her away from the Empire's clutches and reveal to her what she'd been made into... but still, ultimately, kept her in the dark about a great deal and absolutely didn't hesitate to use Ahuska's conditioning and control words to serve her own purposes. Once Ahuska clued into that, she got out of there as hard and fast as she could.

But the worst of all came courtesy of Blakk, a very loyal Intelligence agent and werefox- where Ahuska had been one of the Empire's werebeast prototypes from a project that was ultimately terminated, Blakk was from Intel's new, refined generation, with all the rage issues dealt with and much greater control over shapeshifting through top of the line cybernetic implants. He also happened to be the first fellow werebeast she met, and after a rollercoaster of events she wound up fascinated, entranced, and ultimately head-over-heels for him, bonding with him through the Force and overjoyed to not feel alone in the galaxy. He did what he could to see her safe, independent, and hidden from the world while he inevitably returned to his work... only for the real tragedy to begin. Through their bond, she would find him and visit him in their dreams, where she assumed they were pursuing and progressing a very real relationship. Blakk, meanwhile, would wake with no memory of their meetings and as time went on, she faded from his thoughts, and he became wholly absorbed in his work and the ruthless training regime of his new Watcher.

So when, after years, he became lost to her in dreams, and she began to feel achingly lonely again, she decided to take the terrible risk of seeking him out to see him again face to face. When she finally found him again, she briefly experienced what she thought was one of the most wonderful, beautiful moments of her life-- only to find herself delivered directly into the cold, controlling hands of Blakk's Watcher. One of the most intensely emotional, heartbreaking things I've ever RPed out, brilliant and terrible all at once. (They're both free of that horrible situation now but not even close to being done unpacking, processing and resolving everything that happened. So much fodder for ongoing plots!!)

Now, what with everything Ahuska has been through, I really struggle to imagine her ever betraying someone who's placed their trust in her. Doing her best and failing, definitely. Losing control and having werewolf mishaps, for sure. Blakk probably feels a bit betrayed by their current circumstance but I don't think it qualifies as a real betrayal, though there's the potential for things to get messy depending on what she winds up sharing or not sharing about her current time away.

Bound: Has your OC ever been imprisoned or captured? What happened? How did they get out? Did the experience leave any scars?

Ha, so, that first question definitely covers this one to a degree! Yes, she was absolutely held captive in pretty cruel conditions under Watcher Five (who was obsessed with 'taming' the werewolf that the Sith had created but ultimately couldn't control, therefore proving himself able to do something that the allegedly superior Force users couldn't).

Ahuska fought him for a long time, leaning heavily on her wolf-half to see her through long periods of duress, and she was absolutely left mentally, emotionally and physically scarred by the experience. She lost faith in herself and in her 'friends', she had ribs and her jaw fractured, and all manner of cuts and bites and bruises. She was a wreck, and she was eventually broken... the knowledge of which now rests very heavily on her. And it was witnessing this that finally struck Blakk hard enough to make him see clearly, and galvanise him into action to orchestrate Ahuska's escape.

As it turned out he wasn't the only one who didn't entirely approve of Five's methods, and though the escape didn't go remotely smoothly it was successful in the sense that Ahuska got out. Less so in the sense that Blakk's secrecy was blown wide open and he wound up not only having to flee with her, but having to flee while stuck in fox-shape and with his presence in the Force by all accounts obliterated. If not for Thirteen's tactical absence that night, or the fact that the Sith Lord Ulfran was actually a Jedi in deep, decades-long cover, there's no way Blakk or Ahuska would have survived the escape attempt.

Pain: What’s the worst pain your OC has ever felt? Do they have a high pain tolerance?

Ahuska has pretty incredible pain tolerance. She's always been a tough little cookie, a kid growing up working with animals and doing rough labour in a Mandalorian settlement, always of the inclination to grit her teeth and carry on rather than be set back by a cut or a bite or a blow. But becoming half-wolf, with all the resilience and endurance that came with it, and then being trained as an ultimate death machine in the hands of the Sphere of War, put her tolerance through the roof.

Part of the way she was designed was to experience a blinding, all-encompassing pain while in the presence of a Force Sensitive, with her only option to relieve herself of that pain being to hunt them down and kill them. She was trained not only to tolerate and work through the pain, but to actively seek it out, making her into a Jedi-seeking missile. While she's experienced plenty of emotional pain that she'd rank infinitely worse, I don't think she's been through any physical pain that would rate against what she goes through on her worst werewolf nights.

I told @caffeineyum and @authortobenamedlater that I would give a better explanation of why I ship Fred/Kelly. I also ended up writing up some of the key points of my reasons for shipping John/Linda. So. Here goes.

I'm going to skip past The Fall of Reach because the cast is too young for most of it to really get into the whole romantic side. However, once we hit First Strike? Hoooo boy.

First Strike

Fred/Kelly - They are thick as thieves. Just some real dummy thicc stealy boys. Kelly is shown to be acutely aware of Fred's emotional state - on the way down to the surface she both covers for Fred's faux pas with FLEETCOM as well as physically reaching out to bump him to reassure him. Throughout the Reach conflict they are always backing each other up and checking in on each other. When they get collected by Chief and Kelly takes a Fuel Rod shot for Halsey, it's Fred who carries her out and then later he sits with her for a minute and talks before they go out into the Slipstream-spaghetti mess to repair the Ascendant Justice's hull. Kelly then spends most of the novel either unconscious or kidnapped, so we don't get a whole lot more from them.

John/Linda, on the other hand, has a veritable treasure trove of shipping material in First Strike. Chief spends the entire novel pining after her and he has an honest-to-goodness dream about one of his most cherished memories of her. However, I'll let these two quotes do the heavy lifting on this explanation:

"He wanted to smile, too, but nothing much - apart from Linda - in a long time had given him cause[...]"

and

2. "They had frozen [Linda] while she'd still been in her suit. That was for the best, considering the extent of her injuries . . . but he would have given anything to see her face one last time."

Call me a hopeless romantic, but I just don't see someone saying "I would give anything to see her face one more time" about just a friend.

Ghosts of Onyx

Chief obviously doesn't appear, so John/Linda is a little sparse. However, at the end of the book Kelly asks "Do you think he's out there?" and Linda immediately and without hesitation says something like "Of course he is," because our girl is nothing if not loyal and trusting of her boyfriend's abilities.

Fred and Kelly also don't end up with a lot of time to think romantical-stylez, but they seemingly live rent free in one another's heads. When Fred realizes that he got a message from Halsey his first thought was to look for news about Kelly. Later when Kelly is in a stressful situation, she randomly thinks about the outdated phrases Fred would use to describe her dilemma.

i think what strikes me the most about ruby drinking the tea is that even in a scenario where the act of ascendance doesn't irrecoverably alter her, the fact remains that she very much committed metaphorical suicide, in front of wby, shortly after looking yang in the eye. there's trauma abound there.

on the wby side: all of them have to live with the knowledge that ruby was driven to such depths of despair that she would do something that, as interpreted by them at the time, was syonymous with suicide. they have to know that their presence did nothing to stop her. that they failed her in such a way that she ended up running away, right into neo's trap, and essentially killed herself.

they have to go through the period of thinking that ruby, or at least ruby as they know her, is dead. the last time any of them spoke to her was during her ep 7 breakdown, they did not part on good terms. they're going to wonder about what was going through ruby's mind, maybe even question if this was a spiteful act, and it's so maddening to think about. the potential for grief and guilt in the next two episodes is immense.

on ruby's side? hoooo boy — "I'm sorry. I don't want to be me anymore" — she was driven to seek out the closest thing to death there was at hand. she was psychologically tormented by neo, having all her guilt dredged up afresh, her grief over penny played on, and driven to suicide. again, even in the scenario where ruby as we know her survives, she is going to have to live with the fact she got pushed this far.

the fact she could look her sister — who cared for her for so long, who sacrificed so much for her — in the eye, and still be consumed by that feeling. to fundamentally not want to be her anymore. to be something else... oh, that reminds me, remember what the younger ruby said in ep 4?

“You can do whatever you want, be whoever you want! You don’t even have to be Ruby Rose.”

man, that aged well, didn't it? that seed of her wish to change had already been planted by then. how long has it been growing? when was it first planted?

HOOOO BOY SORRY THIS TURNED INTO A RANT however you did ask for my opinion and this is my blog so you know what. I am gonna post it. And this will be the only time I talk about it.

I reeeeeally don't like kradall it creeps me out and I don't understand it at fucking all. I see people try to make Hear Me Out posts about them and AUs about them and it just makes less and less sense to me (and I KNOW this is bold ass words coming from me I KNOW) but the canon dynamic that does exist for them at no point to me ever at all in the slightest tipped me off or made me think to ship them. Never clicked.

Then again you gotta remember that I'm someone who has been autistic about Kratos since 2005 and I am so incredibly damn picky about shipping him unironically with anyone. Shipping Kratos with Heimdall knowing the kind of person Kratos is and what hes gone through to Become his new self in the norse saga just doesn't make sense. A lot of kradall I see (that isn't non/con honestly another huge reason I don't vibe with it is that a bunch of people use it as a bolt for r/pe stuff in the early moments of Ragnarok fandom) is just them in a very ooc marriage situation I can't wrap my head around. Throwing Kratos into a heavy intense relationship is dumb to me like it took him centuries to fucking get over Lysandra and then moving on to Faye and I'm expected to belive the Hear Me Out posts about why Kratos would be in a long term relationship with.... Heimdall? The guy who is a complete prick to giants? Who actively said misogynistic shit about Atreus' mom who Kratos still loves with his whole heart? And threatened to actively kill his 14 year old son? Kratos's son? Kratos who has lifelong trauma about his child dying from war? I'm not buying it im sorry. No way you cook it will convince me.

In the early points of the ships existence honestly felt to me like people who were into Heimdall just wanted to explore a crutch for brat breaking. But its just genuinley not something I'm into. I'm a firm believer of ship and let ship as long as its harmless and for the most part it is! It's people having fun but it's not for me and never, ever ever will be no matter what and there is a reason I don't talk about it on this blog.

I've been in this fandom a long time and let me say Kratos x Heimdall reminds me a lot of when GoW3 came out and people started shipping and writing tons of Kratos x Hermes dubcon stuff for the sole reason of yaoi fujoshi people wanted to fetishize the gay male power dynamic. Its like I honestly feel some people see a big muscular man and a smaller effeminate man and are like "oh I need to make one a submissive girl" like again I know its just words and pictures on a screen but I have been here long enough to be Very Tired of seeing my sexuality get used as a fetish tool sjshskdnks

And. And ill be honest. And this is petty and trust me this is literally just me and my opinion but I cannot fucking stress how utterly confused and flabbergasted because FREYR IS RIGHT FUCKING THERE. HE IS RIGHT FUCKING THERE. BLATANTLY INTO KRATOS, A COMPLETE KIND SWEETHEART FULL OF LOVE, EXACTLY THE KIND OF GUY THAT WOULD SHOW KRATOS A GOOD TIME AND HAS AN ADORABLE ONSCREEN DYNAMIC THAT DOESN'T EVEN NEED TO BE AU'd OR CHANGED TO MAKE SENSE AND THIS FANDOM DOES NOTHING WITH IT. I see so many AUs where Heimdall survives to get with Kratos and valid but you know what??? I am gonna be angry, WHERE ARE MY FREYR LIVES AUs. WHERE ARE MY AUs WHERE FREYR LIVES AND GETS KRATOS ASCENDED ON THAT VANAHEIM ZA???????

LIKE FORREAL. I honestly feel like this fandom gets so blindsided by Heimdall and wanting to put him in situations and hell I'm guilty of it too, but I have genuinley met GoW Heimdall likers that straight up forgot Freyr existed and it shocks me. I don't get it!!!!!!

Theres a reason I ship Heimdall x Hermes together and its because their individual dynamics are so unbelievably compatible and I like to explore that. But I get people wanting something more realistic in universe as a muse. When it does come to shipping Heimdall with someone else in canon that makes absolute dynamic sense to me, I gotta be honest, Heimdall x Gná is the only "heimdall gets a dom" pairing that I can realistically get behind. Since they both would actually like each other despite being hated by all their peers for their devotion to Odin. Is it healthy? No, but Kradall isn't exactly peaches and cream either. So we work with what we got babey!!!!
